(Disclaimer: This transcript is auto-generated and may contain mistakes.) Matthew Stuckey here from Verity Baptist Church Manila and I want to talk to you about the door of the reprobates. The door of the reprobates. And so in Genesis chapter 4 starting in verse number 6 the Bible reads, And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wrought, and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And so the Lord uses the example about sin lying at the door. Now when you think about salvation, spiritual salvation, remember Jesus said, I am the door. And see that makes sense because it's pretty easy to open a door. You know our salvation is not based on what we do, it's what the Lord did for us. We just believe that. It's as easy as just opening a door. It's pretty simple. Jesus said, I am the door. But you know the Bible also describes becoming a reprobate as being at the door. Okay. What exactly does that mean? Well let's go to 1st John chapter 3 verse 12 and the Bible reads, Not as Cain who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother, and wherefore slew him, because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. Now Cain was of that wicked one. So that's saying that he was a reprobate. Okay. But if you go back to Genesis chapter 4 what you have to understand is he was not a reprobate when God was speaking to him. But you know the door of being a reprobate was right there. He was making an actual choice. And so in Genesis chapter 4 at the end of verse 7 it says, And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. So if he did well, if he made the right choice, you know you're gonna rule over him the Bible says. Now in verse 8 it says, And Cain talked with Abel his brother, and it came to pass when they were in the field that Cain rose up against Abel's brother and slew him. Remember it said he was of that wicked one and slew his brother. But he was not of that wicked one the verse before, but is right at the door. And see what that's showing you is that when it comes to being reprobate that is an actual choice that you're making. Just as salvation is just opening the doors just believing on Jesus Christ, becoming a reprobate is something you make that choice. Look people are not born being reprobates. Nobody's born being this crazy evil you know pedophile wicked person. No that's something that you make a choice in your life. And Cain had the opportunity to do what was right. But Cain rejected the Lord. He didn't believe on the true Lord. He didn't put his faith in the true Lord. And what ends up happening he makes a decision to become a bad person and he ends up killing his brother. Thank you and God bless.
