Matthew Stuckey here from Verity Baptist Manila, and I wanted to quickly talk to you about Romans chapter 3 verses 27 and 28. Archie Alvarez in the Philippines, he's a Bible Baptist pastor, he is trying to use Romans chapter 3 verses 27 and 28 to say that you have to repent of your sins in order to be saved. And basically what you're seeing from these, you know, lordship salvation heretics, these false prophets, is that they can't find any verses to support their position that you have to repent of your sins. So they're really, really stretching it and just trying to come up with anything they possibly can. So let me just quickly read to you what it says in Romans 3 verses 27 and 28, and you decide for yourself. It says in Romans 3 verse 27, where is boasting then? It is excluded by what law? Of works, nay, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. And they're using these verses and saying we have to repent of your sins, and you say, well, where does it ever mention repentance? It doesn't mention it. You say, well, where are they coming up with this? Well, they say in verse 27, when it says the law of faith, they're saying, well, see the law of faith. So it's not simply by believing, but the law of faith includes also repentance along with that belief. Now that's just ridiculous. It's absurd. If you just look earlier in the verse where it says, where is boasting then? It's very clear that you're not able to boast about this. Now if I got to heaven, if I was saved because I repented of my sins, and I quit drinking, and I quit smoking, I would be able to boast and say, well, you know what, I deserve to be saved. I deserve to be in heaven because I repented of my sins, and so and so didn't repent of their sins. Kind of reminds you of the publican and the Pharisee in Luke 18, where you have the Pharisee who's really full of himself, and he thinks he's something special. And that's what this Archie Alvarez guy is. These guys that think you have to repent of your sins, they're just like the Pharisee in Luke chapter 18. And so this is absolutely ridiculous to try to use the law of faith and say, well, see, you got to repent of your sins. And they look at verse 28 where it says, therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. And what they say there is, well, you know, yes, you've got hundreds of verses that say it's just by faith, but right there it's defined, the law of faith. So that overrides every single thing in the Bible. Every verse from the book of John, all these verses, they're just gone. It supersedes it because we have the law of faith. Now this is obviously a very ridiculous argument, and you say, where are they coming up with this at all? Well, you have to understand these people are Calvinists. They are not believers. They're false prophets. They don't believe the basics of the Bible. And what they believe is, well, repentance is given to you as a gift. And faith is given to you as a gift. And so you're not able to boast because it's just given to you. Well, you know, the Bible is very clear that Jesus Christ died for everybody. You know, he's the savior of all men, especially of those that believe. That's what the Bible says, that he gave himself ransom for all to be testified in due time. You know, it says it over and over again in the Bible. Calvinism is a joke. And these Bible Baptist pastors, they're a complete joke. These guys are false prophets. They're not good people. They're not just saved and confused. No, these people are devils. They're false prophets. They're preaching a work of salvation. They don't believe the very basics of the Bible. Archie Alvarez is a false prophet. And the reason why I'm calling him out is because he has the gall to be sending this out to people that he's no longer the pastor of. People that don't go to his church and he's sending them emails and sending them messages talking about how this movement and Pastor Jimenez and his missionary are a bunch of heretics and they're false prophets.
