Hi, Matthew Stuckey here from Verity Baptist Manila, and I just want to make a quick video addressing the Bible Baptist denomination in the Philippines. Recently they were warning all the Baptist churches throughout the Philippines that on November 25, Verity Baptist Church is sending a missionary to the Philippines to start a church. And so we are going to be starting services on November 25, and the big thing that they were warning people about was the fact that this person is going to be preaching against repentance. And they basically said, you know, Pastor Roger Jimenez and the missionary, they're sending Brother Matthew Stuckey. They're heretics because they don't believe in repentance. They don't believe you have to repent of your sins. And they basically said that they're devils, they're wolves, they're false prophets. Now there's a few things that I really like about what they said. One thing is that they made it very clear that the gospel that we believe, the gospel that we preach, that we're going to preach at Verity Baptist Manila is very different than the gospel that they're going to preach. Their gospel says, well, you got to turn from your sins. You got to give God your life, you got to repent of your sins, that faith alone cannot save you. That it's not as easy as believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved. That you have to add more to it. Whereas we're teaching that salvation is completely a free gift, and that you don't have to repent of your sins. You don't have to work for your salvation at all, and repentance of sins is work salvation. And here's what I'd say, they made a big dividing point and said basically that, hey, if you're at their churches and you don't agree with them, you know, that you shouldn't go to that church. And if you're a part of Verity Baptist Manila and you believe that you have to repent of your sins to be saved, you know, you shouldn't be going to that church. And I agree with them. Hey, if you're a member of Verity Baptist Manila, if you go to that church and you think that you have to turn from your sins to be saved, you're at the wrong church. Because that's not what we believe. That's not the gospel we preach. We fight against that. And if you're at the Bible Baptist Church and you believe that salvation is completely a free gift, that you don't have to turn from your sins, you don't have to repent of your sins, then you're going to the wrong church. You should be going to a church like Verity Baptist Manila or a like-minded church. The other thing I'd like to say is this, that on December 2nd, one of my two sermons I'm going to be preaching is on the topic of repentance. So I encourage every single person in the Bible Baptist denomination to listen to that sermon on repentance, part of the salvation boot camp that we're going to be going through, the topic on repentance, and listen to that sermon. And after that sermon, you make your decision what you believe. If you think after that sermon that you have to turn from your sins to be saved, then, hey, you know, go to the Bible Baptist Church. If you think you have to repent of your sins, be a member of their church. That's the right fit for you. But if you walk away and say, you know what, salvation's a free gift, you don't have to work for it, you don't have to repent of your sins, and repentance of sins is work salvation, as it says in Jonah 3.10, and God saw their works that they turned from their evil way. And you believe it's just by believing, whosoever believeth in them should not perish but of everlasting life, then you know what, you should reject the Bible Baptist completely and quit going to their church. Walking on the fence on both sides and figure out what you believe, and be a member of Verity Baptist Manila if you agree that salvation's a free gift. Thank you, and God bless.
