And one argument that people will use to say that you have to repent of your sins to be saved is to say that John the Baptist preached the baptism of repentance. And so this is what it says in Luke 3-3, it says, and he came into all the country about Jordan preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. So the Bible is very clear that if you want your sins forgiven, hey, you have to, you know, the baptism of repentance, that's what John the Baptist preached. And you know, people will quote this verse and use this verse. And they act like they've just, you know, hey, they've got you as if you've never seen that verse in the entire Bible. And unfortunately, I think with a lot of these people, they actually haven't gotten past the Gospels in their Bible reading. Now, obviously, throughout the Gospels, you see, believe, believe, believe, believe. But the baptism of repentance is made very clear in the book of Acts, Acts 19, verses three and four. Here's an example where unsaved people were baptized. And it says in verse three, and he said unto them, unto what then were you baptized? And they said, unto John's baptism. So here's people that have not even so much as heard of a Holy Ghost. And, you know, they think they're saved. And then they're asking them, well, what were you baptized on to? They said, well, unto John's baptism. So in Acts 19, verse four, then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is on Christ Jesus. So what was John the Baptist preaching? Well, he was preaching the baptism of repentance, saying that people should believe. So the baptism of repentance is being defined as believing on the one who would come, believing on Jesus Christ. So once again, it doesn't say repent of your sins in order to get the remission of sins. No, the baptism of repentance, when you cross reference, is defined as believing on Jesus Christ. Why? Well, because other parts, it talks about John the Baptist, you know, preaching repent and believe the gospel, because you've got to change your mind about what you believe to believe on the gospel, to believe on Jesus Christ. And so John's baptism of repentance, what he told people was you must believe on him who is to come. And that's the message he preached before people got baptized. Now, so why did John the Baptist baptize false converts? All of us will have false converts. If you're a soul winner, you will have false converts. If you're out there preaching gospel to as many people as you can and doing everything you can to get people saved, hey, sometimes you're going to get false converts. That's the way it is. And so that's the same with John the Baptist, but it doesn't change the fact that the message he preached was to believe on Jesus Christ. Thank you and God bless.
