Matthew Stuckey here and I just want to give you another video on Mormonism and what I want to talk about in this video is the difference in salvation with the Bible versus the Book of Mormon and Ephesians 2 verses 8 and 9 the Bible reads for by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of works lest any man should boast so the Bible says that we were saved by grace through faith it's the gift of God it's not something you have to work for it's not of works lest any man should boast we would be able to boast in heaven if our works got us to heaven so when it comes to salvation this is not something we have to work for it's a free gift paid for by Jesus Christ now when you talk to Mormons they will say that we're saved by grace now that is true that we're saved by grace and oftentimes they'll say you know we're saved by grace and unfortunately even sometimes Baptist can be confused and think that hey maybe this Mormon is actually saved maybe he you know does believe on Jesus Christ and so they have the phrase memorized that we're saved by grace but they believe something completely different about it you say well how do they get Ephesians 2 8 9 confused when it makes it very clear that being saved by grace means it's not of works well it's actually because of the Book of Mormon and see in the Book of Mormon what it says in 2nd Nephi 25 verse 23 is this for we labor diligently to write to persuade our children and also our brethren to believe in Christ and to be reconciled to God for we know that it is by grace that we are saved after all we can do so in 2nd Nephi 25 verse 23 what the Book of Mormon does is redefine what grace is to basically teach that we do as much good as we can and God's grace is going to cover the rest so basically according to them grace and works are mixed together the grace is God's part the works are our part and you know what if both those things happen then we're gonna be saved but you know the Bible is very clear in Romans 11 verse 6 that you cannot mix grace and works at all there's no mixing it and so Ephesians 2 8 9 is also very clear that when we're saved by grace it means it's not of works so you might hear Mormon say that we're saved by grace and agree to that but they are not saved they believe in a work salvation they don't understand what grace is they have the wrong belief on salvation so do not be deceived by that 2nd Nephi 25 verse 23 is the verse they're using in the Book of Mormon to overhaul what the Bible says about grace being a free gift and not being of works what it says in the Book of Mormon is grace that we are saved comma after all we can do and what is that it's a work salvation so what is the Bible teach salvation is a free gift what is the Book of Mormon teach salvation is by works anyways thank you and God bless
