And what I want to talk about in this video is the concept of free will. Now some Calvinists are really staunch about their beliefs and they literally believe we are robots, that every single step you take has been chosen by God. What restaurant you go to, what food you grab out of the fridge, everything, you are literally just a robot in all areas of your life. Now I don't think the majority of Calvinists believe that though. I think the majority of Calvinists basically believe that before you are saved you have free will but you are only going to choose to sin and do wrong and do wickedness because you are just a child of the devil. And they believe after you are saved you are only going to choose to do right because you are the spiritual man. Now this doesn't really make a whole lot of sense because after you are saved, you know, throughout the Bible people still commit sins. And so if they are only choosing to do right then why are they still committing sins? That doesn't make sense at all. But when it comes to this idea of free will and they say well you don't have free will, it's been chosen by God, here's the problem with that. The Bible specifically mentions that we have free will. Okay, Leviticus 22 verse 18, speak unto Aaron and to his sons and unto all the children of Israel and say unto them, Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel or of the strangers in Israel that will offer his oblation for all his vows and for all his free will offerings, which they will offer unto the Lord for an offering. Now this is just one example but throughout the Bible you see that free will. The Bible talked about us having free will and, you know, it's like John 3.16, it says, Whosoever believeth, you see right there, free will, that we have free will to make our choices. And so in Leviticus 22 verse 18 they had free will offerings, which means they weren't required, they were your own choice if you're going to do them or not. It was by your own will. That shows that you do have a will. You're not a robot. Not every area of your life is planned and programmed straight from God. Look, look at Jonah in the Bible. Jonah chose not to preach to Nineveh even though God wanted him to. Why? Because by his own free will he rebelled against God and then when he got swallowed up by the whale he said, Okay, this is a bad choice. Okay, I'll follow what you do, God, what you want, God. But you see him making a choice to rebel against God. If he was a robot then he would have just done it the first time. And so to say that we don't have free will just doesn't make a whole lot of sense because free will is mentioned throughout the Bible. When we're mentioned having free will and then all the references to salvation and believing it implies that we have that free choice. Whosoever believeth. He that believeth. Not he that was chosen by God to be forced to believe but he that believeth. It's our free will whether or not we're going to believe on Jesus Christ or not. And so understanding we have free will, all five points of Calvinism are just destroyed right there. Because of the fact that we have free will that just overhauls everything they believe when they say we're chosen by God to believe on Jesus Christ. It's not what the Bible teaches. Thank you and God bless.
