One passage that Calvinists love is John chapter 6 verses 37 through 40 which says in verse 37, all that the Father giveth me shall come to me and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out for I came down from heaven not to do mine own will but the will of him that sent me. So what the Calvinists will say is, well God gives Jesus some people and everyone that he gives comes and those that he doesn't give don't and they're gonna go to hell because God's not drawing them he didn't give them to Jesus. But then it says in verse 39 and this is the Father's will which hath sent me that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing but should raise it up again at the last day. So everyone that's given is gonna be raised up at the last day it says in this verse. But then verse 40 really kind of ties home everything that he's talking about. The same thing you see throughout the Bible that's not an unconditional election but is based on whether or not we believe. Verse 40, and this is the will of him that sent me that everyone which seeth the Son and believeth on him may have everlasting life and I will raise him up at the last day. And so once again the Bible is consistent that God's will is that everyone that seeth the Son and believeth may have everlasting life. God wants everybody to be saved. He's not willing that any should perish the Bible says. God wants everybody to be saved. He wants everybody to end up believing on Jesus Christ. So when it really comes down to the will of the Father what does he want? He wants us to all get saved. And he wants us that are saved to help lead other people to the Savior and teach them and that's how our Father is glorified. So you know once again when you just look at a famous passage by the Calvinist if you just look at the context what you'll see is not an unconditional election but the will of him that sent me is everyone which seeth the Son and believeth on him may have everlasting life and I'll raise him up at the last day whosoever believeth in him.
