(Disclaimer: This transcript is auto-generated and may contain mistakes.) Hello everybody, it's ministertol23 back with another video. In this video I want to continue this series defending the new IFB against the slanderous attacks by many people, whether by false prophets, heretics, or just even brothers sometimes who just for some reason don't like baptist churches and for some reason just are against our churches because of the things that we do and the things that we believe even though they're biblical. And so today I want to talk about the subject of soul winning and soul winning tactics of the way that we go and preach the gospel and get people saved doing door-to-door soul winning. Now recently I made a video series on my YouTube channel where I gave a basically step-by-step method of how to effectively preach the gospel and win somebody to Christ, the how to go soul winning series that I put a few weeks ago on this channel. And that is a typical method that you'll see in baptist churches, not just in new IFB churches but even in old IFB churches as well. For example, Jack Hyles, Curtis Hudson, they were super big on soul winning and their churches have been soul winning powerhouses. There's been many others throughout the years as well and there still are many others today that are really big on soul winning that are what might be considered old IFB churches, right? But some people who are critical of fundamentalists or some people who also believe in a workspace salvation, they will criticize our method for soul winning and say that we're not really getting people saved because we're just doing a one, two, three, repeat after me kind of method of preaching the gospel. This is the accusation that often comes. Another term that I heard recently, one, two, three, repeat after me is an old one that I've heard for a long time, but another one that I've heard recently is calling it quick prayerism. And another one you might have heard is easy believism, right? Where they say that, well you're just saying, you know, it's so easy to be saved and you just, you know, quickly just go through it and just run through it and then pray with them and then say that the person's saved, but you don't really know if there was a change in their heart because you got to examine them and see their fruits and all this kind of stuff. Now so far I've already explained in the previous videos that if somebody believes in their heart and confesses it with their mouth and they're saved, number one. Number two, that works and fruit in the life, whatever that means, is not evidence of salvation. That somebody can believe and have no change in their life outwardly. I already proved that in the previous videos. So if you haven't watched them, go back and watch them. But the thing is that we see in the Bible, in the examples of evangelism in the Bible, that the way that people actually preach the gospel is very similar to the way that we do it today. The only difference is that they obviously don't have the New Testament because they're living the New Testament and most of the New Testament, like the Epistles of Paul, were written much later, you know, in the later portion of the book of Acts. And so they didn't have the New Testament scriptures as we have them today, so they weren't preaching like the Romans wrote, right? Obviously that's a newer method of doing it, but the message that we preach is the same that they preached and the method of just going up to somebody, explaining who Jesus is, what he did for them, and saying you just have to believe in him and then, you know, confessing that with their mouth and saying I believe. That's exactly what we see in the book of Acts and that's how conversion happened in the Bible. So it's kind of foolish to say, well you have to like, you know, have this discipleship course, you need to disciple them over many weeks and you know, you need to get to know the person and you know, see whether they'll come to church and you know, they need to get baptized to see if their heart is really in it. This is foolish because this is not what we see in the Bible. Now in the Bible, all the examples of evangelism, you know, it was a very quick process. It wasn't just like something over weeks and months. Obviously some people took a longer time to get saved, but many examples where we see one-on-one a preacher of the gospel with an individual, it's a very quick process. It's not a long time, right? It's not an extended period of time. So this quick prayerism accusation is something that is again, foolish because it's literally what happens in the Bible and I'm going to show that and read a lot of scriptures about that in a second. But this is also an excuse for people to be lazy when it comes to being a missionary, right? That they'll attack the new IFB for getting a lot of people saved, right? So like for example, at our church, Faithful Word Baptist Church, this year alone from the soul winners and the soul winning that we've done in our church, we've gotten already over 6,000 people saved. And then people hear that and they say, well how is that possible? 6,000 people? You know, did you really make sure those 6,000 people understood it? Did you really make sure that those 6,000 people really got it? And the answer is yes we did. And obviously I'm sure there's some people who are new soul winners who might have not done a good job or whatever. Obviously that number is not going to be 100% accurate. But then at the same time, many of them are accurate. And I know the way that I personally go soul winning, I've been soul winning with others, people who have been going to church for many years, the way that they do it is very thorough. They actually make sure that the people understand it, they believe it. We don't count people as part of that number if there is signs that they don't understand what we're talking about, or they don't say that they believe it, or they don't call on the name of the Lord. We don't count that as a person getting saved. But why would you say that somebody didn't get saved if they understand everything you're saying, they tell you they believe in Jesus, they tell you they believe He died for their sins and rose again, and they ask Jesus to save them. If they did that, why would there be any reason for you to doubt whether they got saved or The only reason why anybody would doubt that is because either they're just lazy and they're jealous and they're envious of the fact that we're getting people saved, or because they believe in a workspace salvation. They think that salvation is more than believing and confessing with your mouth, which it's not. Okay, so this is one of the reasons why the new IP is attacked because missionaries today are not doing their work. They just go to a foreign country and they spend a year learning the language. They should have probably learned it before they went there. And then they just, you know, talk to somebody who speaks English, you know, who happens to be in the country every once in a while. And, you know, one person gets saved every two months and then like, you know, one person gets baptized every year or something like that. And that's how missionaries are doing it today. But if you're actually putting in the work and you're actually doing soul winning the way that people did it in the Bible, and you get a lot more people say because a lot of people want to hear what the gospel says. So I'm going to read many examples from the Bible today about people preaching the gospel and examples of people getting converted in the Bible. But before I go into the examples in like the gospels in the book of Acts, I want to first read the passage from Romans chapter 10 that explains the order of how somebody hears the gospel and gets saved. And I talked about this in the video about calling upon the name of the Lord, but I want to go over this again. In Romans chapter 10, verse 10, it says for with the heart man believeth unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Verse 11 for the scripture saith whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek for the same Lord overall is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him on whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach except they be sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace and bring glad tidings of good things. So the order for somebody getting saved is very clear here that number one, a preacher is sent. Now this is part of the foolishness of people attacking us for going out and preaching the gospel is that because churches today, they don't send people out to preach the gospel. They wait for people to come to them, which is not how we see in the Bible. Now there are examples in the Bible of people coming to preachers and asking, you know, what must I do to be saved? This does happen and this happens for us too. But Jesus said to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every preacher, right? And that's why it says, you know, how shall they preach except they be sent? So first a preacher is sent, then a preacher preaches to the lost and the lost hears what the gospel is based on what the preacher says. And then according to again, verse 14, the lost person believes in their heart in Jesus Christ. And then because they believe they call on the name of the Lord and then therefore they are saved. Okay. So this is how the Bible says somebody gets converted, right? Somebody is sent. So a soul winner goes out to preach the gospel. They find somebody who wants to hear the gospel. That person who is not saved hears the gospel. They believe it and then they call upon name and Lord and the Bible says they're saved. It's as simple as that. It's not a process over many weeks of taking a discipleship course and making sure they really understand it and teaching them every little theological thing that exists out there. It's just preaching the gospel. They hear it. They believe it. They call on Jesus to save them. That's how simple salvation is, but they will try to complicate it. And by the way, before I move on, there is a point I want to make about Romans chapter 10 that I didn't make in the calling on the name of the Lord video, but I think it is important. I kind of did explain it a little bit, but just to make it even more clear because this Norm Diamante guy who attacks, who is a big attacker of the new IFB for teaching the biblical doctrine of calling on the name of the Lord. One of the arguments he uses is in verse 14 how it says, how shall they call on him in whom they now believe? So he says, see believing and confessing or believing and calling are two different things. The Bible says all you have to do is believe. So therefore if somebody believes they're already saved and therefore they don't have to call. But here's the thing, if somebody believes they are going to call, and that's what I was talking about in the previous video, that the Bible says, I believe therefore have I spoken. So it's not that confession is like an extra step to being saved. It's just that everybody who believes is going to confess it with their mouth. It's not that confession is a different thing that you have to do to be saved. It's just that believing results in that. If somebody really believes they're going to call on the name of the Lord. If they don't call on the name of the Lord that just means that they haven't believed. It's not that the believing isn't enough, it's just that this is a result of actually believing in your heart. Okay, I hope that makes sense. And if it doesn't then just go walk back and watch the video from a few days ago about that subject where I explained in detail and proved from the Bible that calling on the name of the Lord is biblical and it is part of salvation. And I mean I just read Romans chapter 10 so there's no way to argue with this. So here's a few examples of evangelism in the Bible. Here's how people did in the Bible. So here's one example, John chapter 9. This is an example where Jesus gets a man saved. It says in John chapter 9 verse 35, Jesus heard that they had cast him out and when he found him he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God? He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him? And Jesus said to him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee. And he said, I believe, and he worshipped him. So note, early in this chapter, Jesus healed this man, this is the man that was born blind, and this man went to the Pharisees without even knowing who Jesus was. He said, I don't know whence this man came, but I know he's of God because since the beginning of the world it's never been heard that a man who was born blind had his eyes open, right? I'm paraphrasing, but that's basically what he says. Then he goes back to Jesus, he finds Jesus again, or Jesus comes to him actually instead, and Jesus just says, Do you believe on the Son of God? And then he says, Who is he? And he says, It's me. And he says, I believe. So that man is saved. Because he believed and then he said, I believe. That man is saved, right? It wasn't a long process for this guy to get saved. It just happened just like that, right? So this is one example of evangelism in the Bible, where Jesus just simply said to him, I am the Son of God, and this man believed. Let's continue. Acts chapter 3. This is a little bit of a longer one. This is when Peter is preaching, but again, it's just over a few verses where Peter preaches the gospel and he gets many people saved. So in Acts chapter 3, I'm going to read the whole passage, just to go over the kinds of things that Peter was saying. And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why more will ye at this? Talking about the man who was lame, who was healed, right? Or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? The God of Abraham and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go. But ye denied the Holy One and the just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you, and killed the prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead, where we are witnesses. And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know, yea the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. And now, brethren, I what that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers. But those things which God before had showed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, ye hath so fulfilled. Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. And ye shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you, whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me. Him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass that every soul which will not hear that prophet shall be destroyed from among the people. Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days. Ye are the children of the prophets and of the covenant which God made with your father, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first God, having raised up his son Jesus, sent him to bless you, and turning away every one of you from his iniquities. So Peter preaches the gospel to these people in Jerusalem, and he tells them, you killed Jesus, Jesus is the Holy One, he was delivered up and crucified, and he rose from the dead, God raised him from the dead, and faith in his name is how you're made whole, and repent, meaning, as I explained in one of the previous videos, turned from your unbelief, your rejection of Jesus, to belief in him. And he says, if you do that your sins will be blotted out. And then he quotes scriptures about this as well, like he references, I think it's Deuteronomy 18, where it talks about the prophet that God will raise up like unto Moses, right? So this is a presentation of the gospel, preaching of the gospel, that Peter delivers unto the people. Now these are not that many words, this probably only took a few minutes to say this, and then what does it say at the beginning of the next chapter? In Acts chapter 4 in verse 4, it says, Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed, and the number of the men was about 5,000. So Peter preaches the gospel to this crowd, and literally 5,000 people get saved, okay? Just from hearing this, right? So this verse, I mean this sermon is only like 14 verses, right? And it leads 5,000 people to get saved, because it says they heard the word, and it says they believed. And as we saw in Romans chapter 10, that's how somebody gets saved, right? They, a preacher is sent, and the preacher preaches it, they hear it, and they believe it, right? So according to the Bible, these people are saved then, because it says in verse 4 that they believe, right? So I mean, why is that, that even seems easier than, I mean I've never preached to a crowd of 5,000 people, got 5,000 people saved, that's a lot of people, right, to preach to 5,000 at once. So to say that it's like an individual thing, where they had to take a course over many weeks, and you know it's like, it's a really hard process, and you know you're just, you're just quickly praying with people, and just saying they're saved, but you don't really know if they got it. These people believed in like, just a few minutes after, just a few minutes of preaching, of preaching the Word of God. So why is it then strange to you that our gospel presentation only takes a few minutes? Why should it take longer than that? The gospel is simple, okay? Acts chapter 5, and by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people, and they were, this is verse 12, and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch, and of the rest, durst no man join himself to them, but the people magnified them, and believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women. So in the early church, multitudes were believing, according to the Bible, okay? So multitudes of people were being saved, this was not a slow thing of just a few people getting saved at a time, you know, just a few people here and there over the course of a year, as thousands of people were getting saved constantly in the book of Acts. Here's another example in Acts chapter 8, then this is when Philip is in Samaria, it says, then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them, and the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them, and many taken with palsies, and that were lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city, but there was a certain man named Simon, which before time in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one, to whom they all gave heed from the least to the greatest, this saying, this man is a great power of God. And to him they had regard, because of that a long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. But when they believed Philip, preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized both men and women, then Simon himself believed also, and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and the signs that were done. So here's another example of evangelism in the book of Acts, where Philip goes to Samaria, and he preaches, and multitudes of people in Samaria believe what he preaches, and they get saved. And then after they get saved, they get baptized. It even tells us that this man who was a sorcerer, Simon, who did not repent of his sorceries exactly, because later he's trying to buy the Holy Ghost with money, this man also believed, and then was baptized. So again, these people are saved, right? By just Philip going and preaching the word to them. It's not a long process. They don't have to take classes, or whatever kind of foolish thing that people do today, to try to get people saved, or do it. They know they're not doing an altar call either, which that's something that I'm going to talk about in a later video. But Acts chapter 8 verse 29, here's a one-on-one interaction, just like Jesus had a one-on-one interaction with a man that was born blind. But here's Philip preaching to the Ethiopian eunuch. Here's how quick it takes. Here's how simple it is that this man gets saved. It says, Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near and join thyself to this chariot. And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet of Zias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with them. The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter, and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth. In his humiliation his judgment was taken away, and who shall declare his generation? For his life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip and said, I pray thee of whom speak at the prophet this, of himself, or of some other man? Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water. And the eunuch said, See here is water, what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believeth with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And he commanded the chariot to stand still, and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him. And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more, and he went on his way rejoicing. So again, this is something that takes place over a very quick period of time. Okay, the Ethiopian eunuch is just a single man right in the middle of the desert, in the middle of Gaza, and Philip is sent to preach to him. Philip preaches to him from the scriptures about Jesus Christ. He preaches very quickly. The eunuch confesses his faith in Christ, and then immediately Philip baptizes him after he says, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And then right after that, the Bible tells us that the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, and Philip was taken away from him, right? So this is exactly what happens when we go soloing. We go to an individual, we find an individual, and we preach to them Jesus from the scriptures, and then they confess it with their mouth, and then if, you know, available, they get baptized, and then we go away, right? It's not a long process. It's just like this, where this man just gets saved, just like that. It's not, again, a long thing over a period of time, for a long period of time. So that sounds like quick prayerism to me. Acts chapter 9 verse 17 to 18. And Ananias went his way and entered into the house, and putting his hands on him, said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes, as it had been scales, and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. And then, this is, of course, Saul, also known as Paul, getting saved, and then he recounts this story later in Acts chapter 22, where he gives a little bit more detail about what Ananias said unto him. So in Acts chapter 22 verse 12 to 16, this is us, Paul saying this, he said, And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good report of all the Jews which dwelt there, came unto me, and stood and said unto me, Brother Saul received thy sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him, and he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou shouldest know his will, and see that just one, and shouldest hear the voice of his mouth. For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard. And now why terriest thou? Arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. So when Paul retells his conversion in Acts chapter 22, he gives some more details about what Ananias said to him, right? And then also in Acts chapter 26, which I won't read for the sake of time, but he also reveals that Jesus himself shared with him some scriptures when he appeared to him on the road to Damascus, how he referenced, I think it's the book of Isaiah, I think it's Isaiah 42, where he said, You'll be a light to the Gentiles. I'm paraphrasing, right? But again, this is a very quick conversion experience, okay? He's just a pro, you know, first Jesus preaches a few scriptures to him on the road to Damascus, but then three days later, after being blind, Ananias comes to him, he heals him, and then he tells him to call on the name of the Lord, and then get baptized, right? So it's an immediate conversion. It's not a long process, right? He just gets saved just like that. So again, this is a quick example of evangelism of soul winning. Here's another example, Acts chapter 10 verse 36 to 48. The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ, he is Lord of all, and this is Peter preaching by the way. Verse 37, that word I say ye know, which was published throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached, how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him. And we are witnesses of all things which he did, both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they slew and hanged on a tree. Him God raised up the third day and showed him openly, not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before God, even to us who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead. And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the judge of quick and dead. To him give all the prophets witness that through his name, whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. Then it says in verse 44, while Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word, and they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost, for they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then answered Peter, Can any man forbid water that these should not be baptized which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord, and then prayed they him to tarry certain days. So here's another example of Cornelius and the other men which were with him, who heard the gospel preached from the mouth of Peter, where again Peter just explains it, Jesus died and rose again, and he explains that all you have to do is just believe in him, that your sins are remitted by believing on the name of Jesus Christ, Acts 10 43. And then it says that they received the Holy Ghost, and how they know that they received the Holy Ghost, because they heard them speak with other tongues. So that's the confession with the mouth. Obviously the narrator doesn't say they believe, but we know that this happens when somebody believes, right? And then immediately after they're baptized. So again, it's a quick conversion. They hear it, they get saved, and then they get baptized, right? So it's not a long process, right? It's just Peter goes to them and preaches them the gospel, and they believe, and they get saved, just like we do solanine, right? Here's another example, right? Because this is again all over the book of Acts, Acts chapter 13 verse 7 to 12, which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man, who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God. But Ilimas the sorcerer, for so is his name by interpretation, withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. Then Saul, who is also called Paul, filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him, and said, O full of all subtlety, and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the way right ways of the Lord. And now behold the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shall be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness, and he went about seeking, seeking some to lead him by the hand. Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord. So Paul preaches to Sergius Paulus, he hears the word of God, he sees the miracle he does, and then it says he believes, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord. So the reason why he believes is because of the doctrine, right? So again, it's not a process, it's something that takes place very quick. Acts chapter 14 verse 1, and it came to pass in Iconium, that they went both together into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spake that a great multitude, both of the Jews, also of the Greeks, believed. So again, they just go into the synagogue, they speak the word of God, and a great multitude believes. It's that simple. Acts chapter 16 verse 29 to 34, then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, and brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved in thy house. And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house. And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes, and was baptized, he in all his straight way. And when he brought them out into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house. So according to the Bible, this all took place in one hour, right? It even gives us a time period, right? The Philippian jailer just simply asked, What do I have to do to be saved? It says they said, Believe in him, they preached to him the word of the Lord, and then it says they believed in the same hour they were baptized, right? So it's not like they had to prove that they were really saved before they got baptized, or they had to follow up with them to really make sure that they really believed, like these modern churches do. It just took place in the same hour, right? They got saved very quickly, because salvation is not a process. It's just you hear the word, you believe it, and you're saved. And the last example for today is in Acts chapter 19 verse 1. It says, And it came to pass that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coast came to Ephesus, and finding certain disciples, he said unto them, Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. And he said unto them, Unto what then were you baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people that they should believe on him which should come after him that is on Christ Jesus. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them, and they spake with tongues and prophesied. And all the men were about twelve. So Paul goes to these people who he thinks were saved, and they weren't. This is evidenced by the fact that they were already baptized, but they got re-baptized because of the fact that they didn't even know who God was. They didn't know what the purpose of John's preaching was. And so he says, well what John preached was that you should believe on Jesus Christ. And then it says when they heard this, then they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, right? And it says that there were twelve of them. So Paul wins twelve people to Christ in, again, a very short amount of time. He just preaches them really quickly, and they believe, and then they get baptized, and then they're saved. So in the book of Acts, this is how we see evangelism is done, okay? That people go and they preach the gospel, people hear the gospel, and they believe it. And then a lot of people who believe, they end up getting baptized. So the criticism of soul-winning nowadays is foolish because of the fact that, first of all, the Bible tells us to go and preach the gospel to every creature. It's a command of God. But it's not like, let's get a big group into an evangelism service, and into our church, and then we'll, you know, preach them over the course of many weeks, and you know, disciple them, and teach them every single doctrine in the Bible, and then hopefully, eventually, they'll get saved. The Bible says all you have to do is just believe in Jesus. So it's not that complicated. If you can explain to somebody how to be saved, who Jesus is, what he did for them, the fact that you just have to believe in him, that's all you need. You don't need to sit there for weeks, and weeks, and weeks, and get to know them, and get to learn who they are, and examine them, in order to really make sure that they believe it. If they believe it, they confess it, they're saved. There's no reason to doubt that they're saved if they believe it, and they confess it, right? So I don't know why this attack on soul-winning is so prevalent today, except for the reason that people are lazy, and they don't want to do it, and they're envious of the new IFB, and the fact that we're leading thousands of people to the Lord. Yeah, maybe even tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, probably even millions, the new IFB has led to the Lord's, especially through online preaching. So yeah, you know, hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of people are getting saved, and the people who aren't doing the work kind of envious of that. So that's why they attack us for going soul-winning. Or they just believe in a workspace salvation. They think that salvation is more than just believing. It has to do with the works that you do, and well, if that person really believes, then they're going to get baptized. Or if that person really believes, they're going to go to church. If that person really believes, they're going to turn from their sins. And so we're going to make sure, we're not going to say that they got saved until we see them come to church for many weeks, and you know, constantly grow in the Lord, and all that kind of stuff. This is not how it works in the Bible. I mean, for example, the ten lepers that were cleansed, only one of them comes back to Jesus. That doesn't mean that they weren't cleansed, they were cleansed. And obviously we know that in the Gospels, physical healing represents spiritual salvation. That's why oftentimes when Jesus heals people, he says things like, thy faith hath made thee whole, and thy faith hath saved thee. Right? Because just like faith is needed for salvation, faith was needed for Jesus to heal them of their physical diseases as well. Right? So only one of the lepers came back to Jesus. Right? And not only that, but we even see this Ethiopian eunuch, you know, Philip didn't have any time to follow up with him, and really examine him to make sure he was saved, whatever that means. Philip was taken away as soon as he preached the gospel to him and got him baptized. Philip was taken away in the Spirit. So it seemed to me like Philip's work was done. So if we go to somebody and preach the gospel to them, and we say, hey, now that you believe you need to get baptized, because obviously sometimes we're in a situation where we can't baptize them right then and there. We say, hey, you need to get baptized now that you believed, then we've done our work. There's no reason for us to tarry and keep examining them. You know, obviously we want to exhort them to grow in the faith and everything, but you can't force people to do those things. And it's not an automatic result of salvation either, as I proved in the previous video. So yes, soul winning is biblical, it is commanded by God, and if you're against it, it's just because you're lazy or you don't believe, you know, the truth of how to be saved. Because I don't know why else you would be against preaching the gospel. It's a method that works. I've seen it. I've seen hundreds of people get saved with my own eyes. So it works. You just have to do it. If you're saved and you do it, it'll work and people will get saved. But if you're lazy and you don't want to preach the gospel, then yeah, you might not get people saved. If you're just gonna wait for them to come to you, obviously you're not gonna see them get saved, right? So this attack on the new IFB, and even on the old IFB for soul winning, and saying this is quick prayerism or one, two, three, repeat after me, is both false because we're thorough, but it's also just foolish because it's what the Bible shows us, that people were getting saved within one hour or less than an hour. Just a quick sermon was preached and then thousands of people got saved, or just, you know, a few scriptures were shown and somebody believed and then they got baptized right after that. They didn't have to check for fruit or anything. So once again, we're right and you're wrong if you're against soul winning. So thank you buddy for watching. God bless you and have a nice day.
