Hello everybody, it's Alexander Larsen from Bible Truth 23 back with another soul winning tip, and today I want to preach on preaching the gospel Okay Because this is a mistake that I see among a lot of soul winners, especially new soul winners But even some experienced people well, they will not preach the gospel now you might you know say well What does that mean? You know somebody's going out soul winning aren't they preaching the gospel? But what I mean is actually preaching the gospel the Bible defines what the gospel is in 1st Corinthians chapter 15 verse 3 For I delivered unto you. I'm sorry. I'll go back to verse 1 actually it says moreover brethren I declare unto you the gospel which I Preached unto you which also you have received and wherein you stand by which also you're saved if you keep in memory what I preached Unto you unless you have believed in vain for I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received How that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures and that he was buried and that he rose again the third day according To the scriptures so he says in verse 1 you know I declare unto you the gospel Which I preach unto you which you have received and then he says in verse 3 he defines what that is that they have received That Christ died for their sins according to the scriptures and was buried and rose again the third day according to the scriptures That is what the gospel is the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ But some people either leave that out of their gospel presentation or they put a very minimal emphasis on it But see Jesus said go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature Yes, we want to preach to them on how to be saved yes We want to preach to them on the fact that they're sinners they deserve hell But the most important part is the fact that Jesus died for their sins and rose again in fact the Bible says in Romans 1 16 I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation To everyone that believe it so the gospel the message of Jesus is death burial and resurrection as it's defined in the Bible That is the power of God unto salvation See what they're putting their faith in is the person of Jesus, but particularly they're trusting that Jesus is sacrifice And his burial and resurrection is enough to save them. They're putting their faith in Jesus and the gospel Okay, so if somebody doesn't believe the gospel then they're not saved Okay, whether they claim that they believe in Jesus because there's a lot of people who you know will say that they believe in Jesus But they don't really know what that means there's some people who haven't put their full trust in Jesus and if somebody does not believe the gospel as it says here in verse 2 That they are not saved. Okay. We are saved by this gospel by the message of Jesus's death burial and his Resurrection so this is important to preach when you go out soul winning Okay, you want to make sure to explain what Jesus did for them and not just say, you know, you know Jesus died for your sins rose again, you know, that's it because everybody's heard that before but a lot of people don't really know what that means or a lot of people don't really believe that and This is something, you know, I see commonly that a lot of people, you know We'll say that they believe Jesus died for their sins. In fact, usually when I go out soul winning And I'm explaining what you know who Jesus is and what he did for us and what he did Well, he's on this earth Usually I say that Jesus Christ died for our sins and I asked them have you ever heard that before and every single person? I've ever talked to out soul winning has always said yes, they've heard that before I've never run into somebody who's never heard that Jesus died for their sins Everybody's heard that before but most people do not believe that or even know what that means. Okay It's just a phrase that they've heard repeated. Okay, so Jesus died for our sins what that means it's defined in 1st Peter 2 24 who his own self bear our sins in his own body on the tree that we being dead to sin should live unto Righteousness by whose stripes you were healed 2nd Corinthians 5 21 as well It says he hath made him to be sin for us who knew no sin that we might be made the righteousness of God in him So the fact that Jesus died for our sins what that means is that when he died on the cross he bore our sins in His own body he took our sins upon himself and he paid for our sins in our place Romans 5 8 God commended his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us What that means that Christ died for us is that he died in our place, you know We deserve death and we deserve help with Jesus died in our place And these are things that you want to explain to people when you go soul-winning Okay, don't just say, you know, Jesus died on the cross and then just say okay now you have to believe and that's it You know explain to them that Jesus died on the cross for their sins that he took your sins on Himself and this will also help them to understand why it is by faith alone and why they can never lose their salvation Usually what I do when I go so any I explain You know the gospel that Jesus died for their sins and rose again. I usually quote 1st Peter 2 24 and Sometimes 1st Corinthians 15 as well and then I explained, you know, Jesus's soul went to hell for three days and three nights But his soul was not left in hell neither did his flesh see corruption then usually personally I'll use Romans 4 25 where it says of Jesus our Lord who was delivered for our offenses and was raised again for our Justification so again, he was delivered up to the cross for our offenses and he was risen again for our justification So that death bear on resurrection I explained takes place or took place so that we could be justified so that we could have our sins forgiven Okay, but then later when I'm explaining well now what do you have to do to be saved? Just believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and once you believe it's eternal life. You can never lose it Okay, oftentimes I'll say well the reason why is because Jesus didn't just die for some of your sins But he died for all of your sins and I asked them do you believe that and most of the time they say yes And then I say do you agree that that's past present and future and I explained well because Jesus already died for your future sins He already died for the sins you have done and are doing right now and will do in the future God's not gonna send you to hell for those sins, so you don't have to repent of your sins You don't have to change your life. And if you commit a bad sin in the future, Jesus already died for those sins He already took the punishment for you. He already went to hell in your place So because he did that that's why God's not gonna send you to hell for those sins God doesn't just forgive you of the things you've done in the past He forgives you of all sins the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanses those from all sin the Bible says So these are things you want to explain to them because it'll help them to understand Why it is that it's just by faith in Jesus and why it is that our good deeds have nothing to do with us getting Into heaven and why we don't need to keep our salvation by not sinning or living a certain way So you want to make sure to preach the gospel because that's what Jesus has told us to do Which again is the death burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ Don't leave that out of your gospel presentation put a big emphasis on that in your gospel presentation you know usually that the Order of most people when they when they go soul winning is you explain that they're sinners and we all deserve hell But Jesus, you know came to this earth to save us. He's God in the flesh He died on the cross for our sins rose again All you have to do is believe once you believe you're saved forever But some people kind of don't put an emphasis on the gospel part or leave it completely out of their gospel presentation You don't want to do that. That's the main emphasis That is why we are going to heaven because of what Jesus did for us. That is what they have to believe in So, thank you ready for watching god bless you and goodbye
