If you'd lift up your hand, Brother Ramon will give you an announcement sheet here if you need one. Anybody need one? Alright, on our front cover we have our verse of the week. It says that when he had given thanks, he break it and said, Take eat, this is my body which is broken for you, this do, in remembrance of me. And it's a great scripture there. Our service times are 1030 a.m. on Sunday morning. And Sunday evening at 3.30 p.m. Thursday Bible study is at 6.30 p.m. We'll be in 2 Corinthians 11 this Thursday night. And our soul winning times are listed below. And we have soul winning today right after our lunch period about 1-1.15. And if you're going soul winning, please let Brother Sean Conlon know that you're going Soul winning so he can kind of just make sure to pair people up. We always meet inside here unless you're meeting on location. Brother Sean will have a map put inside the WhatsApp group for you. If you just want to meet on location, you might just let him know that you are. And we'll go out soul winning for a couple hours today. And then we're going to have a special Lord's Supper p.m. service. Now our Praise Report, you can see the salvation, baptisms and attendance totals for last week. And we are having the Lord's Supper tonight at 3.30 p.m. So there's not going to be a preaching service. We're going to sing four songs total. And I'm going to instruct everybody how to do the Lord's Supper. And who has not done it here before? Raise your hand if you have not ever done it. Okay, so everybody pretty much knows, but we only do it once a year. So we're forgetful people sometimes. So I'll just lay out the instructions for how we're going to do that. We're going to all partake together with the bread and the juice. And then we will sing a hymn and then we'll go home. So there's not going to be any sermon tonight. But we only do this once a year. So if you're not normally here on a Sunday night, it would be a great service for you to stay and be at. And then next weekend is Easter Sunday. So invite a friend or a family member. And let's try to do some extra soul winning this week if you have a chance to. There's a potluck after the morning service. And so we'll provide the meat. But I'm not sure if there's a sign up yet, but we definitely need people to bring sides and desserts. So I think that there might be, I don't know. Why do I never know this? I never know. But anyway, stuff just gets done here and I don't even know how it's getting done. But anyway, we do need people to bring stuff. And then there's going to be a men's preaching night for the evening service. So men, I need to know how many men are going to be preaching. Can I get a raise of hands of who all is preaching? One, two. I think Remy probably will be. Nobody else? Come on guys. All right, well if we don't have enough people sign up, then I'll just preach. How about that? All right, anyway, so if we don't get enough people to sign up, then maybe we'll just have two guys preach a half hour sermon or something. But anyway, we'll have that happen. So that's going to be a great Sunday next week. And we had two salvations yesterday about soul winning. So praise God for that. And then April 23rd through 25th, or 22nd through 25th is the actual date, is the Detroit Soul Winning Trip. And so there'll be lots of opportunities for soul winning. And we have several men from our church and a couple of ladies going to that event. And Deacon Corbin Russell will be there from A4 Baptist Church, Tucson. And Brother Dylan Oz from Step Past Baptist Church in Texas. They'll be both preaching on the Sunday services there. So Brother Corbin's going to be preaching the morning service. And Brother Dylan's going to be preaching the evening service. And so we'll have a location for that as the day approaches. April 24th is the Shield of Faith Baptist Church Pastor Appreciation Week. And Deacon Oliver Gonzales will be preaching there on Friday night. And then I think there's going to be a soul winning time on Saturday. And then I'll be preaching both services for Pastor Jones on April 24th. May 27th is going to be the Ladies' Tea at 10 a.m. here at the church building. And my wife's already been working behind the scenes and getting that all organized. And it is for all ladies. All ladies in the church may attend. It's not just for mothers and daughters. But it is kind of a precursor to the Mother's Day weekend, which I believe is May 8th? I don't know. I should have put Mother's Day in there too. I'm sorry about that. But we have a lot of announcements. They'll get in there at some point here in the near future. May 28th is St. Louis Foundation Baptist Church North. And our church, we're going to be fellowshipping at the border. And the room holds, I think it held like 75 people or something like that. And we were packed out. So we did have overflow. But anybody's welcome to go up to that. And we are going to have a Blaine Washington soul winning event the day before. So that'll be on Friday. Saturday is the preaching and fellowship at the border. But Friday we're going to have a, I think it's going to be a soul winning, is it a soul winning marathon? Yeah. Okay, soul winning marathon in Blaine Washington. So if you're from up north, wink, wink, nod, nod, that would be a good event to go to. Because it's not, I don't know how far Blaine is from Seattle. I think it's like an hour and a half or something. Am I right about that? Anybody know? It's about right. Is it about right? Okay. Well how I drive, it is right. Okay, so, but anyway, I think it's like a four hour drive from here to Blaine. So yeah, I guess it's two and a half hours to Seattle or something. Two and a half, two, three hours or whatever Seattle. Anyway, so that's going to be going on. And so if you can go to that, that'd be great. It's pretty receptive there. Every time we've gone up there, last time we went there we had like, I don't know, seven salvations. We weren't even out for very long. So that'd be a good one to go to if you want to go to that. And then church camp is going to be June 1st through 4th. June 10th is going to be the Northeast New IFB conference night in New Jersey. That'll be at 6 p.m. for food and fellowship. Services begin at 7 p.m. I'll be preaching. Pastor Jimenez will be preaching. And we're going to have baptisms and a soul-winning marathon on Saturday. July 14th through 17th is the Red Hot Preaching Conference. And then special prayer once again for our church up in Spokane. So they'll just remain unspoken at this point. But we do definitely need people to pray for something specific. But you just can't know what it is. But anyway, and then also special prayer for Ms. Queenie Fisher. It's Brother Winfield's wife. She's going through some health issues right now. And right now Brother Win's having to be out of the services to be with his wife. And so please pray for her. It's very urgent. So make sure that that is something that you pray about. If you would, pray about it every day this week. It'd be very beneficial. You know, prayer does change things. Prayer does work. So please pray for her. We're a family integrated church. That means the children and infants are welcome during the church services. We do have Mother Baby Room back there on the left to me. Your left back there. Or your right, my left. Then the Dad Baby Room is located back in the corner there. And please utilize those rooms as needed for nursing. Or just if the child becomes disruptive, please take them to those rooms. And then when they're calmed down, you can bring them back into the service. And please don't want intended children in any area of the building. That includes up to teenagers. I just don't want people sneaking off into corners and all that kind of stuff. So please make sure you're watching your children. And no food in the assembly area, please. Silence your cell phones if you would at this time. Escorts to vehicles are available by the ushers. Online donations. We have a couple different options there. The tithes and offerings that have come in so far for the month of April or below. And I did want to say that yesterday we got a bunch of bagels from Seize the Bagel. There's a lot left over. And there's Panda Express left over. So after church, if you want to have lunch, upstairs is where we want you to eat that. But if there's not enough room upstairs, obviously, just make sure that you're cleaning up your mess if you're eating down here. But if you want to grab something from the Panda Express train that came in yesterday. And the bagels are really good. So they're one day old, but they still taste good because I had one this morning. So anyway, you're welcome to do that. And you don't have to run off for lunch if you don't want to. So there's plenty of bagels. So get at them. Or I'm going to have to feed them to the dogs or something that I don't have. But anyway, on the back page here we have our April birthdays. Chloe Alcorta is going to be how old, Chloe? 16. Wow, she doesn't look old. She looks a little bit under 16. But how old is she going to be? 3, 4? Yeah. Oh, Chloe. Good night. I was confused. It's been a long night. Anyway, yeah, Chloe. Okay, I know. Chloe, yeah. All right, sorry. I was thinking of a wrong kid. All right. Anyway, so happy birthday to Chloe if she's able to listen. And then we have Chris and Sarah have come back. And brother Chris is actually being deployed. And he's here for one service. But Miss Sarah and the girls are going to be here hopefully every week, every Sunday. It's great to have you back. Great to see brother Gary. Great to see brother Steven. And all the people. Oh, brother Deb's here. Hey, we're just a party today. All right, so I'm really glad to see all of our brethren from up north. But they're kind of from California now. So don't hold that against them. But anyway, so definitely make sure to pray for brother Chris. Where are you going again? Can you tell that? Saudi Arabia. He's going to go try to change the oil prices for us over there. But please pray for brother Chris's protection and obviously for Sarah and the girls and for brother Gary as they travel down here every week. And I think that's all I have for announcements. Let's sing another song and we'll receive the offering. All right, let's open up to page 170 in your green hymnals. Page 170. Hallelujah, what a Savior. Page 170. Singing out loud on that first verse. Man of sorrows, what a name. For the Son of God who came. Ruined sinners to reclaim. Hallelujah. What a Savior. Bearing shame and scoffing root. In my place condemned, He stood. Sealed my pardon with His blood. Hallelujah. What a Savior. Guilty, violent, helpless, we. Spotless Lamb of God, was He. Full atonement, can it be. Hallelujah. What a Savior. Lifted up, was He to die. It is finished, was His cry. Now in heaven exalted high. Hallelujah. What a Savior. When He comes, our glorious King. All His ransom home to bring. Then anew this song we'll sing. Hallelujah, what a Savior. Man, great singing this morning. At this time we'll receive our offering. Brother Sean, can you bless the offering for us? Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. All right, go ahead and open your Bibles to Romans chapter number five. Romans chapter five. If you don't have a Bible, raise your hand and one of the ushers will bring you one. Romans five. Romans five the Bible reads, Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience, and patience experience, and experience hope, and hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die, yet paired venture for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more than being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from the wrath through him. Or if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. For until the law of sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offense, so also is the free gift. For through the offense of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift. For the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offenses unto justification. For if by one man's offense death reigned by one, much more they which received abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in the life by one, Jesus Christ. Therefore, as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation, even so by the righteousness of one, the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover, the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. Brother Robert, will you pray for us? Amen. The title of the sermon this morning is There's Power in the Blood. There's power in the blood. Let's have a word of prayer. Heavenly Father, we thank you Lord so much for the fact that you sent your Son to us to die on the cross for us Lord and that he would shed his precious blood on the cross for us Lord and we thank you Lord for the resurrection. Without it we could not be saved. And Lord, today as we gather together here, I just pray that we would be able to focus on your Son Jesus Christ and the great price that he paid for us on the cross of Calvary. I pray that you would fill me with your spirit and with boldness and power and fill this congregation and this room with the Holy Spirit of God. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, so There's Power in the Blood. Obviously you know that great song There's Power in the Blood and if you were paying attention we were singing, all the hymns we've been singing were about the atonement of Christ and his blood that he shed for us. Now it's an interesting concept about blood and every single one of us has blood inside of our bodies pumping through. We don't even, we don't, we might realize it's happening when we put our hand to our heart and feel or we feel our pulse or something but inside of us is something called blood. And apparently it's blue while it's inside of you but when it comes out it's red, alright. When you cut yourself or any other thing that would cause blood, you get a bloody nose, you see that it's red and it usually is a staining thing if you get blood on your shirt or on your clothing or on the white carpet or anything else. It's very difficult to get out. It stains. And so each and every single person has blood. If you don't have blood in your body, you're going to die. And the Bible teaches that the life of the person is, or every living creature actually, on the face of the planet is the blood. And so it's interesting how Christ shed his blood and that that blood was made an atonement for our sins. And the only way to get everlasting life is through the blood of Christ. Now a lot of people get squeamish when talking about blood. A lot of people get really squeamish when they see a lot of blood. If you cut yourself in a really bad way ever in your life or you've ever had like a, I'm sure everybody's had their kid fall and hit their head and blood just comes out and it's because the head, you know, blood just free flows out of any small, you could just have like a pin drop and you're just going to bleed a lot. But the cross is a gruesome thing that happened. The fact that Jesus Christ died on the cross, you know, it's not like the Catholic pictures like where there's just a couple of trickles of blood coming out of him and he has long hair and he's effeminate. Now Jesus was a man's man, but the picture that people probably think about is not what the real picture was. The real picture was a bloody mess. His face was pulverized and his back was lashed with whips and he had blood profusely coming out of his head. If you have a crown of thorns put upon your head, you're going to bleed a lot. And so the picture of the cross is gruesome. It's ugly. But what it is is life-giving power. There's power in the blood. And again, if you don't have blood in your body, you die. If you don't have the blood of Christ, you die. Blood is a very interesting and unique thing that God has given us. And the picture is that at some point Christ's blood was going to have to actually give us life. Let's look at Romans chapter 5 or 6. We'll read through some scriptures here. And I am going to try to preach this fast, but I'm not going to sugarcoat it. This is going to be a long sermon, okay? So just buckle up and sit down and get ready. I'll try to preach it as fast as I can. But the thing is that we're talking about something really important here. And there was a lot of scripture that I had. I'll try to just limit the times that I have you turn places. But at the same time, it's good for you to see the scriptures for yourself and see what the Bible teaches. And so Romans chapter 5 or 6, it says, When we were yet without strength in due time, Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die, yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, and that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Even though we're sinful, even though we deserve to go to hell, Christ died for us. Even though he knew we were sinful. But it says much more being now justified by his blood. We shall be saved from wrath through him. So interesting how blood justifies you. And so what I'm preaching about this morning is just the power of the blood, the different types of power that the blood of Christ has. Verse 10, For if we, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. The perfect life he lived. That is part of the saving power of Jesus Christ. And much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also join God through our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have now received the atonement. So it's not just an atonement, a atonement, it's the atonement. The only atonement. Because in reality, the blood of animals never really could save us from our sins. And so that was a picture of the Christ that was going to come and only have to do that one time. He doesn't have to keep saving us and dying on the cross over and over again. And putting the blood on the mercy seat over and over again. Those things in the Old Testament were a picture of what was to come. The perfect picture of Jesus. The perfect atonement of Christ. And I'll define some of these terms for you here in just a little bit, but let's read on. Romans 5, 12 says, Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin, and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sin. That's a very famous verse there. But ultimately, sin entered into the world through Adam and Eve, and death by sin. And so the greatest enemy that we have in this world is death. But Jesus conquered death by his victorious life, by his victorious death, by his victorious resurrection. Look at verse 13. For until the law, sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed where there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offense, so also is the free gift. For if through the offense of one, many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ hath abounded unto many. Unto Adam also, oh excuse me, I'm sorry, I skipped over to another verse, sorry. Anyway, so one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded to many. So through Adam made everybody sinful, through Christ everybody was able to be made alive who would put their faith in Jesus Christ to be saved. It's not automatic. Though he died for the sins of the whole world, it's not automatic. And in fact, there is a punishment for anybody that will not accept the blood atonement of Christ. And I'll show you that later on in the sermon that they will still get blood, whether they want it or not. If they want the blood of Christ, it's free and there and accessible, but if they do not choose the blood of Christ, there is going to be blood upon them. And it talks about it in Revelation, how they are given blood to drink. You just think about all the curses and plagues in the Bible, and a lot of the ones in Revelation have to do with blood. So we'll get to that later on in the sermon, but turn to Genesis chapter 3 verse 21, and it kind of explains to us the first death in the Bible besides, obviously, Adam and Eve died spiritually the moment that they ate of the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But the Lord also started his atonement and pictures of Christ in Genesis chapter 3 after they have been cursed. The Bible says in Genesis 3 21, it says unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins and clothe them. So here's a picture of them having to be clothed with righteousness, and it was by an animal sacrifice. And obviously, God did this first animal sacrifice. You know what he's going to do? The last one that means something. But because of sin, death has to come. Now you think about it because most people get queasy if they see an animal being hurt, don't they? I mean, especially, you know, little girls and little kids. And obviously, if you have any kind of empathy at all, when you see an animal hurt, it does bother you. And so, God had to kill this animal to, you know, picture the Lord Jesus Christ of a perfect lamb that was going to come, an innocent lamb. Who wants to see an innocent little tiny baby lamb, a little yearly lamb get slaughtered? Nobody wants to see that. A lamb that's white as snow, nobody wants to see that. That's a brutal thing to see. How much more an innocent man that never did anything wrong being punished for what other people are doing. So see, the picture began right away in Genesis chapter 3. And so because of the sin of man, the Lord began to show this justification by the atonement that would come. And the death of this innocent animal that had done nothing wrong, you know, it's going to picture the innocent man that would die for the sins of the whole world and shed his blood just like this innocent animal. This animal didn't do anything wrong, did it? No. But something else had to die because of what man has done. And so that's what the picture is, this innocent lamb of God that would die for the sins of the world. And then he clothed Adam and Eve in the skins because they were naked, remember? Now turn over to Genesis chapter 4 verse 4. And I don't have time to just dive into the whole story here, but everybody knows the story of Cain and Abel says in verse number 4, Genesis 4 says, And Abel, he also brought the firstlings of his flock and the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering. So Abel was the first prophet in the Bible and he brought forth an offering of death of one of his lambs, of his flock. And God had respect unto that because, again, that pictures the death of Christ, the offering of him for all mankind. But it says, But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect and Cain was very wroth and his countenance fell. And we know that Cain then rises up and murders his brother who is righteous and good and is showing forth the true sacrifice. And what did Cain do? He brought forth the work of his own hands. And this is the difference between people who are saved and unsaved. The unsaved will always try to bring forth their works of their own hands. We were out soloing all day yesterday and multiple people said that they were going to heaven because they were good. And multiple people, you know, that's what most people say. It's like survey says, number one answer. I mean, it's true. A lot of people think that. But you know what? God is not going to have respect for that offering. God does not want to see your filthy rags as some kind of an atonement for your sin. He does want to see some blood though. He wants to see the blood of the lamb that was sacrificed for you. He wants you to, you know, swallow your pride, humble yourself and say, you know what? I'm going to accept what somebody else did for me. I'm going to trust in what somebody else did for me. Somebody that did live a good life, that actually was a good person, that actually did bring forth good works. And I'm going to trust in that to get me to heaven. That's humble. And you know what's required? Blood. Blood to cover your atonement for your sin. Now turn to Genesis chapter 9 verse 4. Genesis chapter 9 verse 4. Now after Noah got off the ark, he did sacrifices and God told him some things about blood. Now it says in Genesis chapter 9 verse 4, But the flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. And over and over again in the Bible it talks about us not eating blood. It's something that we're not supposed to do. It is forbidden from Genesis to Revelation. It is forbidden for man to drink blood. And so it says, And surely your blood of your lives will I require. At the hand of every beast will I require it. And at the hand of man, at the hand of every man's brother will I require. The life of man whoso shedeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed. For in the image of God made he man. And so that's a very interesting and profound statement here. But it says whoso, so this is talking about the death penalty. If you kill somebody, you're supposed to be killed. Your blood should be shed. The death penalty is in the Bible whether people like it or not. And what's it say when he says they shall be stoned with stones? Their blood shall be upon them. Now if you want to make God angry, you want to hurt somebody else and take the life of them? You want to take the blood out of them to make them die? Well God's requirement is that you are going to suffer the same fate. You are going to receive the death penalty and your blood shall be shed for what you've done. But see Christ made this atonement for us and he's going to offer his blood to give us life. So even though we all deserve in reality to have our lives taken from us for the crimes that we've committed against God, which is breaking his commandments, his requirement is I'm going to require your blood. But you know what? His son says I'm going to give you my blood in replacement so that you can be saved and you don't have to have this happen to you. So let's turn to one more passage in Genesis, Genesis 22 verse 7. It's a very clear picture of the Lord Jesus Christ here with Abraham who is the father of the faithful. Look at what it says in Genesis 22, 7. It says, And Isaac spake unto Abraham his father, and said, My father. And he said, Here am I, my son. And he said, Behold the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering? And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for the burnt offering. So I believe this is clearly teaching that God himself would be that sacrifice. Jesus Christ is not just a man. Jesus Christ is the man, the God-man. He is God and man at the same time. And the Bible says, you know, and Abraham obviously picturing the father here and that he's sacrificing, he's willing to sacrifice his only begotten son so that others can be saved. God asked Abraham to kill his own son. But before he did it, the angel of the Lord stopped him. What was Abraham about to do before the angel of the Lord piped up and said something? He had a knife above him. He was going to shed Isaac's blood and then burn him as a sacrifice picturing the Lord Jesus Christ. And look what it says. It says, And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for the burnt offering. So they went, both of them together, and they came to the place which God had told them of. And Abraham built an altar there and laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar upon the wood. Jesus Christ died on the cross. So this pictures Christ being bound to the cross and sacrificed. And it says, And Abraham stretched forth his hand and he took the knife to slay his son. So I think it's very obvious just how important blood is to God. And I believe that it's obviously a picture of what Christ's blood will ultimately do for us. And it would be a picture of the culminating event in world history that would make the final and only true atonement for the sins of all mankind. And by it we are all redeemed, including all of creation. Creation groans wanting to see the day of Christ come back because even the animals really didn't do anything wrong. But even they groaned, the whole creation of God groans for a time when God's going to make things better in this world. And that nobody would die, there would be no more death, no more sin. And so even the animals, they're not going to, you know, I'm not saying the animals are going to heaven because of Christ's sacrifice. I'm just saying that they're not going to be dying anymore because of what Christ did. So there's power in the blood. The blood is the life. And this morning I want to give you some ways that the blood of Christ has power. So that was introduction, but I have seven different statements that I want to go through here. And the first thing I want to talk about is the cleansing power of the blood. We sang that song this morning here. And the cleansing power of the blood. The blood has power to clean. And I talked in the beginning of the sermon about how, you know, blood usually stains. But see, the blood of Christ cleans. And that's such a foreign concept to us because anybody that's ever had blood on anything, you get it on your shirt, you get it on anything, they're very difficult to get out. But the blood of Christ is cleansing power. And what does it mean to cleanse? Well, obviously we all pretty much know this, but I'm just going to give you the definition anyway. It says to make early clean. Early. It's not that there's a little stain left. No, everything in it. To truly cleanse something, it's clean. You know, if it's a white outfit, everything comes out. There's no stain. It's completely clean. And isn't that what God's precious blood does for us, the Lord Jesus Christ? It cleans every stain, every sin that you've ever committed from the time you were a child until the time you die. All those sins are cleansed forever by the blood of Christ. So, you know, and it's to rid of something that's unpleasant, unwanted, or defiling. And then the other definition is free from sin or guilt. To be cleansed from our sins is truly an amazing thing that blood actually cleanses and cleans every single sin that we've ever done. Turn to Hebrews chapter 9 verse 22, Hebrews chapter 9 verse 22. The Bible teaches this very plainly. So there's cleansing power in the blood, Hebrews chapter 9 verse 22 says, And almost all things are by the law purged with blood, and without shedding of blood is no remission. So it says purged with blood without shedding of blood is no remission. That's why God had to kill the animals at the very beginning of Genesis. Because without shedding of blood there's no remission. But again, that is a picture of what was going to happen later on. To purge means to atone for or wipe out of unwanted quality, condition, or feeling. And it also means to purify. So to purge would be to purify something. So people do purges where they try to clean their system out or whatever with all these different cleanses, right? But that you're purging yourself from uncleanness and that's what the blood of Christ does. Remission means the cancellation of a debt, charge, or penalty, or forgiveness of sins. Remission is a cancellation of a debt. And don't we owe a big debt? Didn't we, you know, it was a debt that we couldn't pay. Everybody's in debt up to their eyeballs, literally, until they get saved. Because the debt is what? The debt is death. The debt is your blood being upon you. The debt is going to hell for all eternity. 1 John chapter 1 verse 7, turn to 1 John chapter 1 verse 7. 1 John chapter 1 verse 7. The Bible says, but if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another. And the blood of Jesus Christ, His Son cleanseth us from all sin. Cleans us. Cleanses every sin. That's what the Bible teaches. Praise God for that. Now turn to Revelation chapter 7 verse 14. I'm going to read for you in Revelation 1-5. Revelation, while you're turning to Revelation 7-14, I'm going to read Revelation 1-5. It says, and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness and the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth, unto Him that loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood. Doesn't it seem like a strange thing that blood would wash away our sins? But it's a special kind of blood. It's the blood of Christ. It's the blood of our God. It's the blood of a perfect man. Revelation chapter 7 verse 14 says, And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. These robes that it's talking about, this is talking about people that die in the great tribulation. Many Christians will die and perish in the great tribulation. It says, they've washed their robes and made them white with the blood of the Lamb. And so that's just a foreign concept to us. I mean, nobody takes blood and washes white clothing with them, do they? But this blood's different. This blood does cleanse. This blood does clean. And so it's just a strange concept to us, but that is what the Bible teaches, that blood actually cleans every single sin and purges us, and there's no remission of sins without the shedding of the blood of Christ. Now, number two, the power, the healing power of the blood. There's healing power in the blood. Turn to Isaiah chapter 53 verse 4. So there's cleansing power, number one, in the blood of Christ. There's healing power in the blood of Christ, number two. Isaiah chapter 53 verse number 4 says, Surely have borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, and the chastisement of our peace was upon Him. The chastisement that we deserve was placed upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed. Those stripes that it's talking about are the stripes of a whip, that He was whipped with before He went to the cross of Calvary. The blood that He shed for us has a healing agent in it, and it's healing that we get. Healing from what? The plague of sin? See, sin's a plague in our life. It's like a sickness, and a lot of people have been sick in our church lately, so you can kind of probably identify with this, but sickness, it's something that pictures sin also in our lives. Plagues and sickness, those are usually judgments of God. I'm not saying because you're sick you're being judged by God, okay? Don't get me wrong. I'm just saying that it does picture, there's something wrong with us, there's something, we're sick, we're not all the way better, we're not all the way good, we're not all the way clean, but Jesus Christ's blood that He shed for us, we're healed by that. That's kind of a strange thing also to think about, like blood, if you drink blood, is that going to heal you? I mean, I know that these demon-possessed politicians think that it does, but there's some weird things that go on in this world. You know why God said not to drink blood? God said not to drink blood because people drink blood. They think that it gives them power. It doesn't give them power. The blood of Christ gives you power, the power to be healed, 1 Peter 2.24. Go ahead and turn to 1 Peter 2.24. See, the blood of Christ not only cleanses us, but it heals us from the sickness and disease that we have. That sickness and disease that we have is sin. 1 Peter 2.24 says, Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness, by whose stripes ye were healed. He's talking about it in the past tense, these people that are already saved, but He's saying that Christ, who bare His own self, bare our sins in His body on the tree. He took our place. We deserve to be up there. We deserve to be hanging on that cross. We deserve to go to hell for more than three days or three nights. We deserve to go to hell for all eternity. But the healing power of the stripes, which obviously when, I mean, maybe you're just not thinking about this, but think about this for a second. Leather whips being taken out on your back, and, you know, a lot of people say, well, it's 39 lashes here. Well, the Romans didn't necessarily have that rule, so we don't know how many times they whipped them. It might have been more than 30. I mean, the Jews weren't allowed to do that, but the Romans didn't have any rules about that, did they? And, you know, I mean, in the movie The Passion of the Christ, like there's bones and all this stuff, and they're just like taking chunks of skin out of them or whatever. The Bible doesn't say that, but I'm sure it was a very painful experience. If you've ever just been whipped with a lash or whipped with a belt, I mean, it hurts. And, you know, a whip that's designed for punishment will take this flesh right off of your back, and that's what they did, and that's what it's saying. When it's stripes, it's not like, you know, just three little trickles, you know, and it was just like done. No, his back was lashed with a leather whip, and it was gruesome, and it was ugly. So number three this morning, the redeeming power of the blood, the redeeming power of the blood. In 1 Peter, go ahead and turn to 1 Peter 1, verse 18, just one chapter back from where you had turned. The word redeem means to gain or regain possession of something in exchange for payment. Pay the necessary money or price to clear a debt. So, like I said, there's a debt that we owe, and Christ's blood is what paid the price for us to be redeemed unto God. And so it says in 1 Peter 1, verse 18, for as much as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things as silver and gold, he didn't have to pay money for it. God would have paid it if that's what all were required. It says from your vain conversation, your vain lifestyle, it's not the corruptible things, it's not how you live your life, it's not how much silver and gold you can come up with, received by the tradition of your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ. The blood of Christ is far more expensive than any silver or gold, it's far more expensive than any works that you can do, no matter how many works you do, it's never going to pay the price that was required for you to be redeemed by God. It's never enough. You know what had to pay the price? The precious blood of Christ. And precious means something that's, you know what I mean, people probably know who Gollum was or whatever, it's like my precious or whatever. It's this ring that he thought was so precious and he was willing to kill or do anything for. Precious is something that you really hold to a dear value. And the precious blood of Christ, it was expensive. It cost him his life. It cost him a perfect life. And then, you know, obviously Christ rose from the dead, but that doesn't take away from the fact of what he went through in order to pay that price for you to be redeemed. It says, but the precious, with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish, without spot, who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you. That's a huge price. And to think about your, just think as an individual, you know, I believe that Jesus would have died even if it was to save one person on this planet. Obviously, I believe there's a lot more than one person saved on this planet throughout history, but I think he would have done it for one person. He loves the individual. The very hairs of your head are numbered. Even, you know, your youth years compared to your older years, he still knows, right? Some of us are, you know, a little bit shy in that area. Hopefully, you know, we'll get that back in the millennium, but anyway, I'm hoping so. Sometimes I get burned up here in the sun, but anyway, look at 1 Corinthians 6, verse 20. 1 Corinthians 6, verse number 20. Actually, go ahead and skip to Acts 20, 28. Acts 20, 28, and I'm gonna read 1 Corinthians chapter 6, verse 20. 1 Corinthians 6, 20 says, For you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. We're supposed to glorify God with our bodies. We're supposed to glorify God in our spiritual lives because we are bought with a price. We are redeemed from death. We are redeemed from the slavery of sin. Just like Egypt pictures the world and the children of Israel were freed from that bondage. Well, when we're freed from our bondage, you know, and the blood of the Passover represented the blood of Christ and so on and so forth, but, you know, God paid a great price for us. He sent His only begotten Son to go through what He went through for us. Acts 20, 28 says, Take heed therefore unto yourselves and to all the flock over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers to feed the church of God, which He purchased with His own blood. So the church of God, this is the church of God. This is, in this room right now we have the church of God right here. The church of God in Vancouver, Washington is right here. And you know what? He purchased you with His own blood. That's how important it was to Him that He purchased us with His own blood. We should appreciate that. You know, when someone does something nice for you, you should say thank you. You should appreciate it. Not by just skipping out on church whenever you feel like it. You know, because if you're not here, you're missing something. You're missing, you know, what God has for you that weekend. You're missing vital things from the Word of God. It's like, well, you know, glorify God in your body and your spirit which are God's. Well, if your body isn't here, then it's not able to, you know, to fellowship with the saints. It's not able to be sharpened by the Word of God. It's not able to go out and be sent out like the Bible says. You know, how can they, how shall they preach except they be sent? Well, if there's nobody to be sent because they're not here, that makes it very difficult to do the work of God, right? So we should appreciate what God did for us by purchasing us. And it says He purchased the church with His own blood. And so we ought to show some appreciation for that. And I'm not saying don't ever miss a church service. Look, I'm not picking on anybody. I'm just saying that, you know, we got to be in church as much as we possibly can be. And Ephesians, go ahead and turn to Colossians 1.14. I'm going to read Ephesians chapter 1 verse 7. You turn to Colossians 1.14. I'm going to read Ephesians 1.7. Ephesians 1.7 says, In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace. See, he makes the rules and his rule is, well, hey, if their blood is applied through the redemption, if they're redeemed, they get the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace. We still don't deserve to be saved. It's funny how when we say, you know, like, getting people to the point of showing them that they deserve to go to hell for their sins, I mean, I was preaching to this lady last night and she just, you know, she just wanted to tell me what she believed. Like, she was literally there, I felt like, to waste my time. And it started to kind of just irritate me a little bit. But I was nice. You know, the guys that were with me were like, yeah, you're really patient. I'm like, I didn't feel patient. I was just like waiting for her to shut up so I could say, okay, we're moving on to the next door. But I did want to give her a chance. I wanted to give her a chance to get that, the riches and the grace that Christ wants to give. But see, if you don't realize that you deserve hell, how can you be saved? If you don't realize that there's a penalty that you have to be redeemed from, you can't be saved. So you can't put the cart before the horse. People have to understand they're sinful. They have to understand that they deserve hell. You might not think, you know, and then when they're like, what's the Bible say? You know, that if you're not written in the book of life, you're cast in the leg of fire. And then it lists all those sins in Revelation chapter 21 verse 8. And you show them clearly that all liars shall have their part in the leg of fire, which burneth the fire and brimstone. And they still, then you ask them, do you think you deserve to go to hell? No. It's like, what do you mean? You've lied. You just admitted to me that you lied. And so sometimes, you know, getting people over that hump is really difficult. But don't move on to the next point. If they don't want to accept some part of the gospel, you can't move forward with them unless they understand that they deserve hell or even that they're sinful. And this lady was even kind of trying to deny that she sinned. She was like, well, I lied a long time ago. It's like, you lied just now, lady. But anyway, moving on here. I had you turn to Colossians 1.14. It says, In whom we have redemption, through his blood, even the forgiveness of sin. So the Bible is very clear that he redeemed us. He bought us with a price. And that price was his blood. His blood. And that was very costly. More costly than any ointment. More costly than any medicine. More costly than any gold, silver, or jewels. You could stack the wealth of the world, and it still wouldn't have equal what Christ's blood did for us. Because no amount of money is ever going to save you. I know a lot of people in Hollywood think that if they give to some charity or something, that they're going to receive salvation. I know a lot of people try to do good deeds thinking that that's going to outbalance the wickedness that they do in this world. But it's not. It's never enough. No amount of money. If you stacked all the money in the whole world in one big giant pile, it would not equal the price of the blood of Christ from the cross of Calvary. And Revelation 5, 9 says, And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book and open the seals thereof, for Thou wast slain and hast redeemed us to God by Thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation. Only Christ is worthy. He was the only one that could open up the seals. Why? Well, because He was worthy. He was the perfect man and God manifests in the flesh. He's the only one that's worthy to open up the seals. His blood is the only thing that's worthy to cover sins. Number four this morning. The atoning power. The atoning power of the blood. Now the word atonement means reparation or expiation for sin. The reconciliation of God and humankind through Jesus Christ. See, because God the Father and mankind have a problem. The problem is God is not going to allow sin into heaven and sin makes Him angry. And when people sin, God is going to punish them. God wants to pour His wrath upon them. Even His own people, you know, the children of Israel, when they rebelled against Moses, He's like, I'm just going to nuke all these people and I'll start a new tribe with you, Moses. I'll just kill all of them. God is wrathful. See, people always want to say, it's just a God of love and He is a God of love. I mean, I'm explaining to you how much He loved us. But He's also a God of wrath and He will judge sin. And unless He had Christ to do this, we would all be going to hell. We would all be being judged. We'd all be being destroyed. So there had to be an atonement. Now turn to Leviticus chapter 17 verse 11. Leviticus chapter 17 verse number 11. Leviticus chapter 17 verse number 11. The Bible says, the life of the flesh is in the blood and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls. For it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. There the Bible explains and defines what atonement is. It's blood being applied for your soul. And we can't atone for our own sins with our own blood because it's not good enough. If you only sin one time, you're not good enough. You can die for the sins you do but you can't redeem yourself or make an atonement with your own blood. I can't die for brother Joe because I got sins of my own. Brother Joe can't die for brother Anthony because he's got sins of his own. Only one person could do that. That was Christ. Romans chapter 5 verse 11 says, And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ by whom we have now received the atonement. So the atonement. I made a special mention of that. The. T-H-E. The definite article. The atonement. And that's through Jesus Christ. Now number 5 this morning, I'm moving along, I'm doing good here. Number 5, the justifying power of the blood. The justifying power of the blood. Look at Romans chapter 5 verse number 9 back in our original text here. Romans chapter 5 verse 9. Now there's a guy named John MacArthur who calls him, I think he's like some reformed theologian. He's been around forever. He's in his 80s right now. But several years ago he made, he taught that Christ's blood was not special. Like that it didn't have any magic properties or something. And look, we're not magicians in here. We don't believe in magic. But God's power is not magic. God's power is His power. His power is because He's God. It has nothing to do with magic. But the power of the blood is the fact that it's a sinless life. The power of the blood is the fact that He died for us and made that atonement for us. But John MacArthur wants to dismiss that as if it's just not a big deal. It's his death. The whole totality of his death that matters. And that does matter. But to say that the blood is not special is just like burying your head in the sand. If you read the Bible, I mean, I'm going through a lot of scriptures about the blood this morning. And I'm just scratching the surface. The blood is talked about over and over and over again in the Bible. It's made very important. I mean, I've showed you many places where it shows how important the blood is. The new King James Version takes out the blood like 22 times in the New Testament or something like that. Why? Because they don't want the blood to be important. They don't want it to be important. And, you know, John MacArthur's a heretic. He's going to split hell wide open. He's a lordship salvationist. If you don't repent of all your sins, you're not saved at the same time as he's letting some pervert be inside his church and kicking out the wife of said pervert in his ministry. Kicking out the wife because she refused to take the pedophile dad back. I mean, how wicked is that? How is that repenting of your sins? To kick out the righteous person in your church, the person that doesn't want to take back some weirdo that you want to keep in your ministry and then he's just going to say, you're out of here because you won't take your husband back? That's sick. That just shows you the mind, the depraved mind of John MacArthur and his bloodless gospel. Well, you know what? I'll take the blood for 800, Alex. I'll take that blood because the blood is what atones for our sins. The blood is the justifying power of sin. Out of our lives, it justifies us. What does that mean? Well, justify means just as if I had never sinned. So when the blood is applied to our life, then it's just like you never sinned. That's what it means. So when it says much more now being justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. How are we saved from wrath? Through his blood. So is the blood of Christ special? It absolutely is. The real technical term for justify means declare or make righteous in the sight of God. So it's just as if you've never sinned. Because once he saves you, you're freed from all sin, right? Turn to Romans 3.25. Romans 3.25. It says in Romans 3.25, whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are passed through the forbearance of God. That's a mouthful, but propitiation means the appeasement of God. The appeasement of God through faith in his blood to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are passed through the forbearance of God. To declare, excuse me, I say at this time his righteousness that he might be just and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. So with this whole thing saying the blood isn't important, the blood is important though. It's part of the gospel. You can't take the blood out of the gospel and it's the real gospel. Jesus had to shed his blood. It is gruesome. It is ugly to think about. Whenever I get my blood drawn, which is very rarely, but I'm not one of those people that faint when I get my blood drawn. But you know, it's funny, they always try to prop me up and make sure that I'm not going to fall over because if they had to pick me up, it'd be tough. This little old lady trying to, you know, but why do they always do that? And one time one of them explained to me, they said, men faint when they're getting their blood drawn more than anybody else. Men will just, you think of the, she said, I've seen the biggest, toughest looking guys come in there and just they just fall out of their chair. Because blood's, you know, when you see your own blood, it freaks you out sometimes, you know. I've never been that kind of person. I always have to look. I know when the needle's going to go in me or whatever, but I don't know. Anyway, so it says, to declare I say at this time his righteousness that he might be just and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. So believing in Jesus is the same, I mean, you're believing in the blood that he shed. Where's boasting then? It is excluded. By what law of works? Nay, but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Without the deeds of the law, folks. No deeds that we do are ever going to justify us before God. No filthy rags, no good works are ever going to balance the scales. The only thing that puts you over the top on the balance is Christ's blood. If that's applied, then it wipes everything out. Number six, the power of a perfect sacrifice. The power of a perfect sacrifice. The power of the blood of a perfect sacrifice. Hebrews chapter 9 verse number 11. Hebrews chapter 9 verse number 11. Hebrews 9 and 11 says, But Christ being come and high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building. So it's not talking about the tabernacle on this earth, it's not talking about a building on this earth. In heaven, all these things that Moses had to make in the Old Testament were pictures of the real thing. They were patterned after the real thing that's up in heaven. It says, Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. Christ's perfect sacrifice is so perfect that, you know, all these Old Testament high priests had to go in every year, they had to have blood on their thumb, on their right ear, on their right big toe, and all this other stuff. They had to cleanse themselves before they walked in there or they were going to die. They'd go into the holy place where the Ark of the Covenant was and they would sprinkle blood on the mercy seat to picture the high priest who is Christ now putting his blood, entering in with his own blood once to the holy place. They only had to do it once because it was such a perfect sacrifice, the power of a perfect sacrifice, and having obtained eternal redemption for us. I love how these people always want to say, you could lose your salvation. That was a big theme also yesterday from Saul-Wane, is that people think you can lose your salvation. What part of eternal redemption do you not understand? It's eternal. It means it lasts forever. Your eternal redemption is paid for and you don't have to get it back again. You don't lose it when you sin in your body and you don't have to get it back again. As a matter of fact, you can't get it back again. I mean, if you want to say that you can lose it, then by those verses that people try to teach that, you can never get it back. So they're wrong about that. But because the sacrifice is so perfect, it was eternal, and it only had to be done once. It says in verse 13, For if the blood of bulls and goats, and ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God. And for this cause He is the mediator of the New Testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the First Testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance. So this also teaches that the people in the Old Testament that believed in Jesus, that those sins were paid for also. And it says, For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. What is this talking about? Well, when you leave a will, your last will and testament, that is that you're saying, I want this to go to him, I want this to go to my wife, I want the special spoons to go to so and so. You're showing people what they're going to inherit from your death. When you die, you can't take your stuff with you, so you give it away to other people. So the inheritance is what? Eternal life. The inheritance is eternal redemption, and where a testament is, there must also of the necessity be the death of the testator. So Christ had to die in order to bring forth the New Testament. It says, For a testament is of force after men are dead, otherwise it is of no strength at all, while the testator liveth. Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood. So the first testament, what happened in the first testament? Well, Moses took the blood, and he put it in these basins, and he took and he sprinkled all the things that they had to minister with. He did it on the veil, the holiest of holies, all the stuff. He sprinkled blood all over it. I mean, you read that in the Bible and you're like, he's literally taking blood and just doing this with it. He's sprinkling it on people. It would be weird to have someone just throwing blood at you, right? But that's what he did, because that was the first testament. The Old Testament, and he was sprinkling blood. What is that picture? Well, it pictures the fact that Christ is going to come in to heaven, to the real holy place, to the real mercy seat, to the one that's actually in heaven, the pattern that was for all the stuff down on earth, and Christ was going to sprinkle his blood on that seat one time, forever. It paid for everything. Paid for our salvation, paid for our eternal security, and paid for all sin to be washed away. Hebrews 10, 4 says, For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats could take away sin. All these people that say, well, you're saved by, you know, you're saved in the Old Testament by keeping God's laws, and that's it, you know, the Peter Ruckman doctrine. In the Old Testament, you know, there's all these different dispensations, different dispensations of salvation. That's trash, folks. It's not true. And the reason why Peter Ruckman is in hell today is because he taught in the future that there's going to be a works and faith-based salvation in the tribulation period. You'd have to do a combination of works and faith. Why would you have to do that when it's not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sin? It's not possible for your good works to get you anywhere near heaven. I mean, how many more scriptures do I have to show to prove that that's true? None of that stuff will save you. The only thing that saves you is the blood of Christ, the power that's in the blood of Christ, the power of a perfect sacrifice. Matthew chapter 26, verse 27. Go ahead and turn to Matthew chapter 26, verse 27. Matthew chapter 26, verse number 27. Works salvation really upsets me. It irritates me. Because those people are sending people to hell to believe that. They're helping usher people into hell. Matthew, I mean, why teach someone that they have to do works when you know good and well that Christ paid for it all? That doesn't even make sense. Like when people believe that they have to do works to be saved or they can lose their salvation, it doesn't even make sense. But they just don't understand the scriptures because they're not saved. Matthew 26, verse 27 says, And he took the cup and gave thanks and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it. For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Oh, and by the way, you still have to do the works. Is that what he said? No, it's his blood of the New Testament. He's the testator. He's the one that died for the sins of the world. Not, you know, and no works. He had to do all the works so that we didn't have to do the works. So that we could rest in the works that he did for us. Hebrews chapter 13, go ahead and turn to Hebrews chapter 13. Hebrews chapter 13, verse 11. It says, For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp. Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate. Skip down to verse 20, it says, Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus Christ, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant. Case closed. It's the everlasting covenant. Why would you have to do works in the future if he paid for it all already? That makes no sense. It's false doctrine. You know, you can call me a cult leader all you want, but let me tell you something. The Bible says what it says. You can't get around that. It's an everlasting covenant. The blood that he shed, that's the everlasting covenant. Faith in his blood makes you righteous. Faith in his blood cleanses you from all sin. And so we don't have to do anything else. It's just faith alone, folks. That's what the Bible teaches. If that makes me a cult leader, then so be it. But you know, they call Jesus Beelzebub in the Old Testament. I mean, well, it was in the Old Testament technically. But they call Jesus Beelzebub. How much more are they going to call his followers? Anybody that's teaching the truth is going to get condemned. Anybody that's preaching salvation by faith alone and eternal security, they're going to get attacked. They're going to get all kinds of weirdos that try to attach themselves and sneak into the church and do all kinds of wreak havoc inside our church and draw people away and try to make disciples after themselves. Why? Because they're work for the devil. That's why. It's not rocket science. Number seven, my last point. Thank goodness. My last point is the recompensing power of the blood. The recompensing power of the blood. And maybe you don't know what that word, recompensing, means. I'm going to define it for you. It means to make amends to, for loss or harm suffered, to compensate, to pay for something you did. A recompense is going to be for those people that would not accept that blood. There's going to be a loss. They're going to have to amend to what they've done. And how are they going to amend to that loss? Well, they're going to pay for it with their own blood. So either you accept the blood or your blood's going to be upon you. Period. You're going to receive blood no matter what you do. Wouldn't it be better to just choose the blood that saves you than the blood of your own body upon yourself, and then you're done, you're going to hell? There's a recompensing power in the blood. Look at Exodus chapter 12, verse number seven. Exodus chapter 12, verse number seven. I believe wholeheartedly that what happened with Pharaoh in the land of Egypt is a picture of end times Bible prophecy. I have no doubt about that. But remember, in end times Bible prophecy, in the book of Revelation, is Jesus coming back to seek and save that which is lost? He's coming back to seek what he already saved, and then he's there to condemn the lost. He's there to condemn and to make a, they're going to have to make a recompense for the choices that they made. We have a choice, folks. Everybody has a choice. But if you make the wrong choice, you know, it's eternity in hell. There's no alternative. There's no Abraham's bosom. There's no purgatory where you get a second chance. It's, you know, it's a point of demand wants to die after this, the judgment. If you're going to die, you're going to face the judgment. Now, Exodus chapter 12, verse seven says, and they shall take of the blood and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door posts of the houses wherein they shall eat it. And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt. So the blood was good for the people that put it on their door posts. The blood was good for the children of Israel and the firstborn of them were not destroyed. But what is the other picture you see? The other picture you see is that somebody's going to get smitten. Somebody's going to get judged. It's going to be the destroyer. It says the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you when I smite the land of Egypt. And the land of Egypt was smote by all their firstborn dying, which ultimately led to Pharaoh saying just take our stuff and get out because they robbed all their stuff basically. They gave all their stuff away to them. But the picture is if you don't have the blood, you're going to get the judgment. You're going to get that recompensing power. The recompense is to make amends to for loss or harm suffered, to compensate for what you've done, to pay for something you did. It's going to be time to pay the piper so to speak. It's going to be time again for the chickens to come home and roost. And there's going to be a time when it's going to be too late for people to accept the blood of Christ. That's going to be over. And unfortunately for the Jews, his blood is upon them in a way that does not benefit them. Because what did they say in Matthew chapter 27? They said when Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing but that rather a tumult was made, he took water and washed his hands before the multitude saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person. See to it. But was he really? Was he really? Just because he symbolically washed his hands, does that mean he was not guilty? No, he was guilty still of the blood of Christ. Then answered all the people and said, his blood be on us and on our children. His blood. But it's not on them in the way that it is on us, right? The way it's on us is to cleanse us from all sin, to justify us through its power, and to make an atonement for our souls. But for these children, the blood upon them is a curse, isn't it? So the Jews didn't get what they wanted out of that deal. They thought that they were just going to move on. Jesus was going to be dead and it's game over. They were really wrong about that. And go ahead and turn to John 6 verse 53, John 6 verse 53. There's two ways to have Jesus' blood upon you. For good, for the saving of your soul, and for evil to be a curse. And as a matter of fact, it's really your own blood that you have to, since you haven't applied the blood of Jesus to you, it's your own blood that you're going to suffer. The loss of your life and the loss of your life, your everlasting life, it's certainly a life in hell, which is not really life, it's death. So you can have the cleansing agent for all your sins, the redemption, the justification, the atoning, or as one who he died for that is guilty of the blood of Christ. Aren't the Jews guilty of the blood of Christ? They did literally put him on the cross. I preached about that last week. John 6, 53 says, Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye shall eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, he hath no life in you. Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. So that kind of seems to fly in the face of everything that I've been teaching this morning, doesn't it? But when you understand that what he's talking about is a spiritual application here, he's not saying to literally drink my blood, not to literally eat his flesh. He's talking about accepting that sacrifice that he made. Because it clarifies it in verse 63, it says, It is the spirit that quickeneth, the flesh profiteth nothing. The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, they are life. So what is it talking about? Well, Christ is saying, hey, apply this spiritually. But many people walked away from it at that point. And you know why? Because people thought that he was literally talking about cannibalism. Isn't that what the Catholic Church teaches though? That it literally turns into the body and blood of Christ? And it just proves that they have no salvation inside the Catholic Church. Because they're saying that you can't be saved without taking the Eucharist, which is that little wafer that they put on your tongue and slap you or something. I don't know what they do, but they don't slap you? Okay. I was wrong about that. Okay. For some reason I thought I heard that in some of the old Catholic religions they do slap you, or they hate you for some reason. I don't know, maybe it's not that. Anyway, I'm going off in the weeds here. But people are going to get the blood one way or the other. Revelation chapter, I'm just going to go fast through this. Revelation chapter 14 verse 20 says, And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs. So God is judging in the book of Revelation with blood. Revelation 16 3 says, And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea, and it became his blood of a dead man, and every living soul died in the sea. Verse 4, And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters, and they became blood. Skip to verse 6, For they have shed the blood of the saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink, for they are worthy. See, they're still going to get the blood, just not the way that they should have gotten it. They should have gotten saved. They should have not waited until it was too late. They should have not taken the mark of the beast. They should have not corrupted God's word. And so now they're getting blood, but it's just not the way that they expected it. Right? Even think about Moses, like the first thing he did, wasn't the first thing he did is to turn the water of the Nile, maybe it was the second thing, but he turned the water into blood, the Nile River? I mean, it's a judgment of God. And it's blood. Revelation 17 verse 6 says, And I saw a woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. And when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration, and in her was found the blood of the prophets, and of the saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. See, they want to take our blood. They want to shed our blood, and they've been doing it for thousands of years, to these false prophets and these wicked people that the devil controls, and so their judgment is going to be blood back upon them. Revelation 19 verse 2, For true and righteous are his judgments, for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. Verse 13 says, And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood, and his name is called the word of God. Isn't it crazy that Jesus Christ is going to come back, but it's not going to be in a white robe like everybody pictures. You know, it's not going to be like the atheists want to mock Jesus on a dinosaur or something, with long hair and a dress. He's going to be in a coat. That's what a vesture is. It's going to be like a coat dipped in blood, and his name is called the word of God. He's coming back for vengeance, folks. He's coming back to place their blood upon their own head. When Jesus was refuting the Pharisees in Matthew 21 verse 43 it says, Therefore I say unto you, the kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation, bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken, but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him the powder. There's two ways of getting that rock. It's either going to, you know, you're either going to fall upon it and be broken, and be like, please save me, Lord. I want you to be my rock. And then there's other people. The opposite's going to happen to them. The rock's going to fall on them and grind them into powder. And I'm pretty sure if a rock falls on you and grinds you into powder, there's going to be blood. Right? In Psalm chapter 58 verse 10 it says, The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked, so that a man may say, barely there's a reward for the righteous, barely he is a God that judgeth in the earth. People always say, it's not for you to judge, it's God's decision to judge who he wants for whatever he wants. It's like, yeah, and he's going to. You know what he says? That we're going to wash our feet in the blood of the wicked. That sounds disgusting, doesn't it? But again, we'll have a glorified body so we can't get AIDS or any kind of bloodborne pathogens. But I think he's just saying that these people are going to get what's coming to them. So don't worry about that. And one day we're going to be able to say that, hey, we can rejoice when we see the vengeance. Because there's a lot of things that just as time goes by in Christianity that people will wrong you. People will do all manner of evil against you. People will lie about you, just flat out lie, send you glitter bombs with some weird, disgusting stuff in it. I got one in my office right now that got sent here first class. I don't know who brought that in here. Was someone here when that package was delivered? Well, it was sitting right there when I came into the church the other day. I don't know how it got in here. I'm not saying anybody did anything wrong. My body didn't open it. But what's inside of that is not, don't open that. I put it in my office. I want to use it for target practice that are men shooting. But these people, they just don't stop. And they never will. But you know, one day, Christ is going to get the vengeance. He's going to get it for us. We don't even have to do anything. And we're going to be able to say, you know, barely there's a God that judges the mirror. So, the cross was gruesome. The scene was gruesome. The blood pouring out of the head of the Lord Jesus Christ from the crown of thorns that was put upon him. The blood from the whip and the lashes on his back. The blood from his hands and the nails that pierced him. The blood from his feet where they nailed his feet to the cross. The blood from the side where it was pierced by a Roman soldier's spear. It had to be done. It had to be ugly. But you know, it had to be done because the Lord died for us all. It had to be done because it's the only way it would work. For verily, if righteousness came from the law, then Christ would not have had to die. But he had to. He said, not my will, Lord, but thine be done. When he prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, he knew what was coming. He said, if there's any other way, well there wasn't. And he was willing to do it for us. And turn back to Hebrews chapter 9 verse 19, we'll finish up here. I know it's going long here, sorry. Sorry, not sorry. I already told you. Anyway, Hebrews 9, 19 says, For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water and scarlet, wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book and all the people, saying, This is the blood of the testament, which God hath enjoined unto you. Moreover, he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry. And almost all things are with the law purged with blood. And without shedding of blood is no remission. If it was therefore necessary for the patterns of these things, then the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. For Christ has not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true, but into heaven itself now to appear in the presence of God for us. Nor yet that he should offer himself often as the high priest entered into the holy place every year with the blood of others. For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world, but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself. And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. So Christ was offered, once offered, to bear the sins of many. And unto them that look unto him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. One time we're made nigh by the blood of Christ. We have made peace through him through the blood of the cross. And the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter chapter 1 verse 2. Excuse me. Jesus Christ sprinkled the blood of the mercy seat. His blood, his precious blood. The Bible says, and as he is the propitiation for our sins, not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. So he truly died for the sins of the whole world. He was the propitiation for our sins. He did everything that was necessary for salvation. And there truly is power in the blood of Christ. The life is in his blood. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, we thank you so much Lord for this group of believers here. Pray that you just fill us with your spirit as we go out solely today. And our Lord we think on these things that have been preached about today. And Lord that we have a solemn assembly tonight thinking about the sacrifice that you made for us. And Lord that you would just bless the food that we're about to partake of before we go out soloing. And we ask that you watch over those that are sick in our church that can't make it today. And we pray that you would just watch over Brother Alex's wife Mary. The health issues she's having. And Lord, so many people that are going through so much Lord. And we just ask that you would give them grace Lord and help them. Help those that are sick to be healed. And we'll give you the glory and honor for that Lord. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Let's sing our last song page 19 in your green hymnals. There is a fountain page 19. Green hymnals page 19. There is a fountain. Sing it out loud with me on that first verse. There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel's veins. And sinners plunged beneath that blood lose all their guilty stains. Lose all their guilty stains. Lose all their guilty stains. And sinners plunged beneath that blood lose all their guilty stains. The dying thief rejoiced to see that fountain in his day. And there may I the vilest he washed all my sins away. Wash all my sins away. Wash all my sins away. And there may I the vilest he washed all my sins away. Dear dying lamb, my precious blood shall never lose its power. Till all the ransomed church of God be saved to sin no more. Be saved to sin no more. Be saved to sin no more. Till all the ransomed church of God be saved to sin no more. Ere since by faith I saw the stream, thy flowing wounds supply. Redeeming love has been my theme and shall be till I die. And shall be till I die. And shall be till I die. Redeeming love has been my theme and shall be till I die. On the last. Then in a nobler, sweeter song I'll sing thy power to save. When this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in the grave. Lies silent in the grave. Lies silent in the grave. When this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in the grave. Thanks for joining our morning service. If I'd like to see you back here at 3.30 this afternoon for our evening service, then Brother Eli, can you end us with a word of prayer? Amen.
