On our inside page there we have our service times, our Sunday morning service, 10.30 a.m., Sunday evening service, 3.30 p.m., and Thursday Bible study, 6.30 p.m. I've been preaching through like a summer vices sermon series basically, and this morning I preached about fornication, tonight I'm going to be preaching about clothing and modesty, and Thursday I'll be preaching about, I'm going to be preaching in 1 Chronicles chapter number 7. So, we got through the Levites in chapter number 6, and now we're going to move on to other tribes. So, we're going to get through the 12 tribes, and then we'll get, we're getting through all the names, and then we're going to get to chapter 10, where we get into the main story of 1 Chronicles. So, we'll be chapter 7, so we're getting close. So many times we had so many today, do we have any salvations out there today? Anybody? No? Alright, we didn't get the honey hole this week, okay. So after church, I got these suckers from Arizona when I was down there, and I was going to let a couple of young men have a challenge to see who could finish the sucker, but the thing is it has a scorpion in there. So that's the challenge that after church, two brave young men can face off and see who wins, and I'll give you some great prize. Do you have any takers? Right over there? Young Richie, are you sure? The title of my sermon tonight is, Clothing and Modesty, Does God Care What We Wear? Does God care what we wear? Alright, look at verse number 19, the Bible says, Quench not the Spirit, despise not prophesying, prove all things, hold fast to that which is good. So the Bible teaches us to not quench the Spirit, so there are things that we can do to quench the Spirit. The Bible teaches us that we are to be filled with the Spirit, and so that means that there are times when we are not. So we should be asking the Lord to fill us with the Spirit, and we also should not despise prophesying. So, what does that mean? Don't hate preaching, don't hate on preaching. Now, of course, there is preaching that can be bad, or not edifying, or not good preaching, but if it's preaching from the Bible, what the Bible says, and it's connecting things, and teaching what the Bible says, then even a dry, boring sermon that's preaching the Word of God is still good preaching. So we should not despise prophesying, the Bible says, and then it says to prove all things. Well, how do we do that? From the Bible. That's how we prove all things. What does it mean to prove all things? Well, it means to test for approval. So, hold fast to that which is good. So, what does that mean? We hold on tight to the good teachings of the Bible that it teaches us. So, you know, people will say, well, I don't see anything wrong with blah, blah, blah. Well, it doesn't matter what you see wrong with something. What does God see wrong with it? And so, when it comes to things that we wear, you know, some people have this attitude, well, I don't really see anything wrong with it. I don't feel there's anything wrong with it. It doesn't matter what you feel. It matters how God feels about it. That's how we should test and prove all things. And so, it doesn't matter what we think. It matters what the Bible says. Now, the Bible doesn't say, like my last sermon, it doesn't have, you know, specific things laid out for dating. The Bible doesn't have specific things laid out for what particular items of clothing. There's no section that says three-piece suits, you know, ties, all these different things. But it does have specific things that it does talk about that are specific to men and women. Now, but there's an all-encompassing list of things. So, but God gave us some common sense, and when he said for us to cover up, then people can get that and understand it. So, now, let's look at verse number 22. It says, So, do you think that if I walked in and I was wearing a dress, that that would be evil? Anybody? That would be evil, wouldn't it? There would be no doubt in your mind that that would be evil. Or a skirt. What if I was wearing a Metallica t-shirt, and I came up to preach that was cut off at the shoulders? Would you guys be okay with me preaching in that? Would that be the appearance of evil? People, some of you don't even know who that is, but that's okay. I don't care, you know, I don't want you to know who it is. What if it was like Lil Nas X or something? He's a demonic, satanic homo, and so you probably shouldn't be wearing those types of shirts either. But yes, there are things that would be considered evil to be wearing, and, you know, so, what does appearance mean? Well, something that strikes the eye, something that you see that strikes the eye, that's the appearance of something. So, it's true, what's on the inside does matter. It matters a lot what's on the inside. But what matters on the outside does matter too. So, we shouldn't leave, have one thing done, and leave the other thing undone. And it's true that what matters on the inside, it does matter what's in the heart, what's on the inside. That does matter the most, but God doesn't just not care how we dress. He does care how we dress, and it might not be specific brands or all these types of different things. And I preached on this a couple months ago, and I was preaching out of Exodus, and I was talking about specifically what the priests had to wear and those things. And so, they had to wear specific clothes to be in the tabernacle. The high priest had to wear specific garments or they would die. The priest had to wear specific garments or they would die. Now, in the New Testament, of course, we also should be different. Now, I'm not saying we should, they weren't wearing wizard outfits though. We shouldn't be wearing wizard outfits today. You can say that they were wearing these long robes, but the Bible doesn't say they were long robes. They just were wearing coats, and they might have been wearing something medium length, but I don't think that they're wearing long, flowing garments, because why would Jesus condemn those things in the New Testament if that's what he was having them wear? I don't believe that that's true. Look at 1 Corinthians 6, turn over to 1 Corinthians 6. So, it is true what's on the outside matters, and most importantly, what's on the inside matters. But if you're a child of God today, you represent God. And so, when people see you out in public, then they shouldn't think, oh, he's like some punk rocker or something. They shouldn't think, oh, he's some rapper guy or something. Because people do look at you and categorize you by what you're wearing. They can't help it. And when you went to school, if you went to public school, people categorize you by what kind of types of clothes you wore. And it's true. You were a jock, you were a sosh, you were a prep, you were a rocker, you were an emo or whatever. They would say you were a wannabe gangster or you were a gangster, stuff like that. So, again, I'm not advocating that we look like wizards, or ladies are supposed to look like they just came off the scene of the set of Little House on the Prairie, or that we just came out of an Amish village. We shouldn't have to look, we're not trying to go out to look specifically weird when we go out into the world. We can wear normal clothes. I'm not saying that we shouldn't do that. We should do that. But I don't think that we also need to, there's a middle ground. You don't go extreme in one way or the other. Just look like a normal person. So, 1 Corinthians 6, 19 says, What know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own, for you are bought with a price. I read this scripture this morning. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit which are God's. Now, of course, talking about the inside, but the outside of the body is God's too, isn't it? So what you wear on that body, it appears to other people in the world. And we're supposed to be a light to this world. We're supposed to show forth the works of God so that people will glorify our Father, and if they're looking at us and they're thinking, hey, this person is a worldly person, or this person's a wicked person because of the clothes you're wearing, I mean, we were just talking about that man Skillet, and he looks, he wears, the guy wears eyeliner, which looks faggy. The guy dresses like a punk rocker or some kind of heavy metal rocker. If you look at that guy walking down the street at night, you wouldn't think that's a Christian. I'm sorry, you just wouldn't. You're like, well, it doesn't matter what he looks like on the outside. Yes, it does, because what you show in your appearance, that's what people are going to think of you. So, you're like, well, people shouldn't think that. Well, they do. Sorry, they just do. Turn to Ephesians, chapter 5, verse 6. Ephesians 5, verse 6. Now, this specific passage of scripture is talking about what we were like before we were saved. It says in Ephesians 5, 6, it says, Let no man deceive you with vain words. Oh, it doesn't matter what God, you know, we're saved now. It doesn't matter how you act or what sins you commit or what clothes you wear or what music you listen to. Those things don't matter. You're free in Christ, bro. Yes, it does matter. Those are vain words. It says, Let no man deceive you with vain words, for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be ye not therefore partakers with them. We're not supposed to partake with the same things that they do. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. So, walk as children of light. So, when people see us, they should see us as what we are, children of light. For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. There's that word proving again. And what's it mean? It means testing what's right, testing what's true, proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. So, when I reprove Daniel Fusco for looking like a homo when he's preaching, and like he's wearing a t-shirt when he's preaching. Like, that's unacceptable. And you're like, How's that unacceptable? Well, if you're at a camp meeting, okay. Alright, that's fine. But, you know, if you've got long, greasy dreadlocks, and your hand is like this when you're preaching and you're wearing a t-shirt, come on, man. Let's just get with the program. You don't belong behind a pulpit at all. Turn to Genesis chapter 35, verse 1. That posture just tells you everything you need to know about the guy. Genesis 35, 1, the Bible says, And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel and dwell there, and make there an altar unto God, and appear unto thee, when thou fledst from the face of Esau thy brother. So God is telling Jacob, he's like, Hey Jacob, it's time that you go back to the place where we first met. The place where, you know, he called, remember Jacob was afraid of Esau, and he calls upon God, and he's scared for his life, he's scared for his family, and he's like, you need to go back there. And he says, go back there and make an altar for me, and go to this certain place. He says to go to a certain place. So God calls us today to go to a certain place. And what does Bethel mean? It means the house of God. Go to church, Jacob, go, I mean, this is the picture that we're seeing here. Go to church, take your family, and go. Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him. So he had a great household, he had people that worked for him, and he had a lot of riches, and cattle, and all these things. And what did he say to him? He said, put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments. So he said, take a bath. And then, by the way, change your garments. You can take that to mean that he's saying wash your garments, but what about just stop wearing, whatever you're wearing that looks like heathenish, why don't you change your garments and wear some different clothes? Maybe lengthen those short pants, or wear something that's a little less revealing. I mean, it could mean both, but he already said be clean, but change your garments. Yeah, put on some clean clothes. I mean, God does like cleanliness. He doesn't want us to just go around stinking, and he doesn't want to be in camps where, he doesn't want to be in places where it's all filthy, and people are, you know, where they have poop maps, you know, like in San Francisco. I don't know if you've ever seen that before, but they have maps where the city workers have to go and clean up wherever someone puts, where there's human feces on the ground. And like, if you pull up the map, there's just like, it's completely covered in little poop emojis, because that's where people have pooped everywhere. And then city workers have to go and clean that up, because that's where the homeless just defecate on the ground. Anyway, God doesn't like that. So, but the point is, is Jacob's like, to his household, hey, we need to clean up our act, because we're going to the house of the Lord, we're going to go and represent the God of our fathers, and I want my house to be cleaned up. And so what's he doing? He's commanding his house to get right with God, put away any strange gods that are among you, and be clean, change your garments. And it says, let us arise and go to Bethel. It's not just, oh, hey, my family can do whatever they want, they can wear whatever they want, they can worship whatever god they want. This is what modern day society tells us. Well, you know, I'm just going to let them make their own decision on what they want to do. No, that's what the world says to do. And how's that working out for people? It's not working out very well, is it? But God wants us to command our house. He said the reason why he chose Abraham was because he knew that he would command his children also, and that he would be faithful in his house. It says, let us arise and go to Bethel, and I'll make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went. And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods that were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears. Why would they do that? Well, maybe it was dudes. Maybe all the guys gave up their earrings, like, hey, I don't want to look like a queer anymore, so let me give up the earrings too. And Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem. So he hid them. You know, and sometimes it's good to just, you know, ladies, when you say, you know what, I'm done with my pants, I'm gonna wear what God wants me to wear. I'm gonna wear dresses and skirts. Just hide those in a place forever and just get rid of them. And put away from yourself those things. Put away those worldly t-shirts, guys, that you just are saving. Or burn them or something. Don't wear them anymore. I mean, the rock concert t-shirts that you got someplace, you know, I keep bringing up rock concert t-shirts, but I can't think of anything better. But the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 3, 2, ye are our, ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men. The Apostle Paul said this, and of course in context, that's not exactly what he's talking about, but what he's saying is true for this, you know, for this spiritually, is that, you know, when people see us, they read what our spirituality is like by how we appear to them. So we should keep those things in mind by how we look to other people. What are we doing that other people see? Because look, people do watch you. Have you ever heard of that term, people watching? People watch what you do. When you say, oh, I'm a Christian, and they watch what you do, then they pay attention to what you do. Because maybe they are seeking. Maybe they do want to know more about God, but if all they see is a bad example, then maybe you're not the example that they want to see. Maybe that example is going to turn them the other way. So we really do have to be aware of that kind of stuff. When we see someone that has a sad countenance or an angry countenance, that reveals the feelings that they have on their face, right? So, or, in the same way, our clothing can reveal the rebellion in our hearts. It can reveal low self-esteem, or our desire for attention from other people, or our approval from other people. Clothes are more than just a covering for our bodies. They tell us quickly about other people, don't they? And they represent what they are, who they are, emotions, opinions, politics, and any social construct that they belong to. You know, if a lady's wearing a shirt that says dog mom on it, what do you know about her? Or single, no children cat lady or whatever. You know about their politics. What does that tell you about someone's politics? They're going to vote for Harris or whatever. You know a lot about someone by the way they dress. If it's a woman with a butch cut, short hair cut, and she's wearing a flannel shirt, what do you know about them? They're probably a lesbian, okay? Or they're from Alaska, I don't know. And people love to cry legalism over sermons like this, or you're a Pharisee over sermons like this, but legalism is when you're adding works to salvation. That's not what I'm saying. I'm not saying you're not saved if you don't dress right. I'm just saying that legalism is, that's not what I'm teaching here. That's salvation by, if you're not really circumcised and you're not, if you don't follow the law of Moses and you're not really saved, that's not what I'm saying. That's what legalism is, that's what the Pharisees taught, teaching for doctrines, the commandments of men. That's not what I'm teaching here. I'm teaching the Bible. Turn to 1 John chapter five verse two, 1 John chapter five verse two. Christianity isn't just about do's and don'ts, and besides that, it's not just about keeping commandments, but it is about, part of it is about keeping commandments. So we know, God knows that we love him by the fact that we keep his commandments, by the fact that we obey him. He knows that we fear him because we keep his commandments. You know, if you don't just do it because you love, people say, well, I only do it because I love him, but that's not really always the case because a lot of people will keep the commandments because they don't want to get punished by God because they know they're going to, just like what I was talking about this morning. If you fornicate, you know that the whoremongers and adulterers, God will judge. And if you don't believe that verse, then you're an idiot because it's going to happen. Then you'll know. Some people just learn things the hard way, hard-headed. You don't want to learn that lesson the hard way. Look at what it says, 1 John 5, 2, it says, By this we know that we love the children of God when we love God and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments, and his commandments are not grievous. I mean, how much more plain can he put it than that? Showing love is showing that we keep his commandments. We keep his commandments because that is the love of God. We keep his commandments. They're not grievous unto us because of that. Now, when you attack God's commandments, you are actually the Pharisee. That's actually the person that's the Pharisee, is the one that would attack what I'm saying right now. When I'm saying that God has commandments and that we should keep them because we love God, because we should fear God, and they're like, no, you're a Pharisee. No, you're the Pharisee. You're the one that's saying that I'm a Pharisee when I'm telling you what the Bible says. The Bible is very plain and clear. You are the legalist. You are the one that's attacking what the Bible says and you're teaching for doctrines and commandments of men. Oh, God doesn't care what I wear. That's not true. That isn't true at all. God doesn't care whether you show your thighs or not. That's not true. That is not what the Bible teaches. Nakedness is from the loins to the thighs. That's what the Bible teaches for men and women. I'll get to that later. But what type of clothing should we avoid? Well, we should, go ahead and turn to 1 John 2. But you know what, we need to worry. We don't need to worry about what other people are wearing or doing as much as we need to worry about what we're wearing and what we're doing. If we would just focus on what we need to focus on, then other things will take care of itself. We need to focus on leading our family. We need to focus on leading ourselves before we just start looking at what the neighbors are doing. Besides looking, trying to focus in on what everybody else is doing wrong, we need to focus in on what we're doing wrong. We need to pull the mote out of our eye before we, or the beam out of our eye before we try to pull the mote out of our neighbor eye. I'm not trying to say we shouldn't ever try to pull the beam out. Of course we should, but we need to focus on ourselves and on our own families too. 1 John 2 15 says, love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. So what type of clothing would be, clothing we avoid? How about sinful, worldly clothing? I mean, if it's sinful or worldly, then it's something we should avoid wearing. 1 John 2 16 says, for all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof. But he that doeth the will of God abideth forever. So what should we avoid? Well, things that are the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes. So is there clothing that people would wear that would make people lust after it? Of course there is. It's sold everywhere. How about things that would be of the pride of life? How about pride t-shirts? I mean, things that would make you look prideful, or show off your physique, or show off your body. I mean, of course that stuff is prideful. The lust of the flesh. All kinds of clothing is sold out there that allures to the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. The Bible says that is not of the Father. And so, is there clothing that is sinful? Of course there is. The Bible says it's of the world, and you're like, well, aren't we supposed to love the world? Of course we're supposed to love the world. We're supposed to love the souls of this world, but we're not supposed to love the things of this world. Those things are passing away. The lust is gonna pass away, so those are things we should not love, right? Turn to James chapter four, James chapter four. So what kind of clothing should we avoid? Well, how about worldly clothing? How about sensual clothing? How about clothing that appeals to pride? How about clothing that appeals to the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes? Those are types of clothing we should avoid. The Bible says in James 4, for you adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain the spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? See, our spirit, the fleshly spirit, not the spirit of God, but our spirit that is the old man's spirit, it lusteth to envy. It lusteth to have the things of this world, and we are in a constant battle with it. The spirit of God and our new man is constantly at battle with that old spirit, and so we should not be, you know, we gotta fight and resist to be at friendship with the world, and so we should avoid that type of clothing and attire. It says submit yourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands ye sinners and purify your hearts, ye double minded. So when it comes to, you know, because people do lust after clothes, you might think that that sounds weird, but people do. There are certain clothes that people are just like, well that's what's in style, that's what's popular, that's what I need to, you know, and it can get to be something that people get really attached to. It can be something that people, they might just lust in their heart for, it might not even look sinful, but maybe it's the right brand name, maybe it's the right style, and people can get attached to those types of things and make it more of a big deal than it really should be. Look, your kids are gonna outgrow the clothes that they're in, alright, and if you're just spending $100 on a pair of shoes for your toddlers, they're gonna outgrow those in like, you know, two weeks or something, so I mean, to spend exorbitant amounts of money, unless you're just like trading them in, I mean I know that people do all kinds of different things with these trade-ins and buying different, whatever. I'm just saying that we should not focus on, even just focusing too much on just worldly clothes and name brands can be too much. I mean people kill each other for Jordan shoes. That's sick. To kill somebody over a pair of shoes. I mean that's the world we're living in. So our clothing, as Christians, cannot be sinful, worldly, and pleasing to God at the same time. It's like you can't serve God and mammon. You can't serve sinful, worldly clothing and be pleasing to God at the same time. It's part of mammon. So, but you're like, well these are just the only clothes that are sold today. I don't have any choice. You know, the thing is though, is that you can be stylish and godly at the same time. You don't have to wear weird, weird Christian clothes or look like you just came off the mission field and every person in your family matches the same dress or something, okay? You just might have to search a little harder in 2024 to not have the skinny jeans for the guys. Look, I get it. I know that it's harder to buy clothes in 2024, but you can still find clothes that are still God-honoring and not look like a queer wearing pants guys and you know, you can still look like a lady, ladies. Men's suits are always in style. They've been in style for well over 100 years and I'm not saying you have to wear a suit, okay? I'm just saying that really never goes out of style. Shirts and ties really never go out of style. Nice dresses that cover all the parts are always in style. Flowing dresses, summer dresses, polo and collared shirts are always in style for guys depending on the era that you live in or grew up in. You know, you look at those old photos of the kind of weird looking collars and stuff from the 70s, it's like what did they do there? And some of those laser backgrounds with the old pictures from the yearbooks and stuff like that. There's definitely some weird looking outfits but the styles change but there were still polo shirts, there were still button up shirts and so on and so forth. Lady skirts that go past the thighs and are not form fitting are always still in style. There are weird clothes in every generation, all right? I'll give you that but just because there is doesn't mean we have to wear them, all right? I was thinking about some of the things in the eras that I've kind of, I was born in 1975, I know, I'm old compared to some of you but bell bottoms were a thing in the 70s and I think I came into the tail end of the bell bottom era and I'm glad that they died out fairly quickly into my youth but I do believe I had some bell bottom jeans as a young lad, I didn't buy them. I didn't buy them, when I lived in the country I wore wranglers, I mean wranglers are still around, aren't they? All these years later, wrangler jeans are still around. I don't wear them now but I'm not in the country anymore either but wrangler jeans are still, you could probably go to Walmart right now and go buy a pair of wrangler jeans exactly like the ones that I wore when I was five or six years old but yes, they had bell, who's seen bell bottom jeans, what they look like? Who's worn them? Who's worn them on purpose? Oh man, Crystal. Well, I mean sometimes, you know, they look, yeah, all right, I'm sorry. Now, who's heard of moon pants? Well, that's what we call them, but zipper pants or Michael Jackson made them very popular in the 1980s when he was doing the moonwalk and you know, I'm not gonna do it, okay, but they're like, they call them moon pants or whatever because they look like astronaut pants or whatever but they're kinda like skinny, I don't know. Do you know what I'm talking about, anybody? Joe knows, you know what I'm talking about. Parachute pants, okay, there you go. Who had those? Don't lie, all right, one, two, three, anybody else, yeah, even ladies. Okay, yeah, so when Michael Jackson, I mean and who had the one white glove? All right, I had one, I gotta admit it. Sorry, I didn't know any better, I didn't know any better, I was a kid, all right. But I mean those are some weird things that they had in the 80s. MC Hammer, when MC Hammer came out, who knows who MC Hammer is, 90s, all right. I didn't wear those pants though, I will admit that I did not wear those pants because when I was a freshman in high school, there was actually guys that were wearing MC Hammer pants at school and we were laughing at them, but that was like, I'm glad that I kinda just skipped that somehow, because that would be embarrassing, but they were all dancing, doing the hammer dance and all that stuff, but MC Hammer pants were pretty popular when I was a freshman in high school. What else, those big, really baggy Carl Kenai jeans or whatever, do you know what I'm talking about? Yeah, huh? Jenko jeans, yeah, they're the same type of thing. Can anybody think of anything else from different eras that were weird? I didn't really get into anything after that that was weird. What, oh, shoulder pads, okay. That was that 80s or 90s? Oh yeah, big, okay. Anybody else, Bill? Yeah, Bill's always dressed normal, he's always been a straight-laced guy. Anybody else? You remember anything? Okay, all right. Well, so there is some cringe clothes, some fringe clothes, I can't think of really anything else, but there's some things that are just mainstays. Converse tennis shoes have been around since like the 50s, and people still wear them today. There's nothing weird about them, all right? So there's always gonna be options for us to wear. But what are things that we shouldn't wear? How about beer shirts? Don't wear beer shirts. Rock band shirts, shirts with filthy stains on them, political shirts that say weird stuff, obviously. And one of my pet peeves is wolf shirts, okay? I just think it's corny, all right? Regardless of the animal, anything with some animal howling at the moon or something, I just think is very weird. That's just my own personal opinion. All right, sorry. Or eagle shirts, anyway. Not the band, but the actual eagle on someone's, okay. How about, or you know, there's just, yeah. So how we dress does matter. And when people see you in a wolf shirt, they're gonna think, you know, some weird stuff about you. So okay, at least I will. All right, so what is modest clothing? Turn to First Timothy chapter two, verse nine. First Timothy chapter two, verse nine. What's modest clothing? Because the Bible talks about modest clothing, and sometimes people don't necessarily break this verse down very effectively, or maybe you just, and I'm probably guilty of it too, just not really breaking it down. But I kinda wanna break this verse down a little bit. Modest clothing. And of course it's using a woman in this verse here. But it says in First Timothy two, nine, it says, In like manner also that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety, not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array. So Paul is directing ladies on how to, you know, not to overdo it basically. I mean, if you just wanna encapsulate this verse, it's like, don't overdo it. Don't wear a bunch of expensive, over-the-top stuff. So it really just kind of encapsulate what modesty means. So modesty can be being so over-the-top that you, it's just too much, or you're just underdoing it also. You're wearing too little, or you're wearing so much that it's drawing attention to you. So what is the definition of modest? Dressing or behavior, or excuse me, or behaving so as to avoid impropriety or indecency, especially to avoid attracting sexual attention, typically used of a woman, of clothing, not revealing or emphasizing the figure. The etymology of the word comes from the Latin, which means keeping due measure. So keeping due measure. So that means wearing things that are long enough, or should, you know, long enough to cover, basically, keeping due measure. So it's really just not drawing attention to oneself. What is shamefacedness? Look at the word shamefacedness in that verse. It says, what does that mean? Well, awkward and embarrassed or ashamed. So if you should be in modest apparel with shamefacedness, then you would be embarrassed to go out in public looking not, you know, not in modest apparel. So you're not gonna go to Walmart in your pajamas with no bra on. You're not gonna go out not looking modest. You're not gonna go outside. You're not gonna answer the door. You're not gonna, you know. You'd be ashamed to show your face wearing those clothes, basically. I mean, I don't know. That's kind of what it seems, you know, what the intent of the word is there. Ashamed to show your face in public, not in a modest apparel or state. Sobriety. What does that mean, sobriety? Well, serious. People should not look at you and not take you serious. You shouldn't be out looking like a clown, wearing things that people are like, hey, you know, they can't take you serious because of the way you're dressing. So it made me think of like the people that dress up like anime characters and they actually walk out in public like that. Like these weebs. Have you ever heard of, who's heard of weebs? There are people that are like, I'll tell you what the definition of that is. It's not like weeb, Jimweeb, like W-I-E-B. It's weeb like W-E-E-B, right? Weeb is a derogatory term for a non-Japanese person who is obsessed with Japanese culture and media to the point of wishing they were Japanese. It's short for weeaboo. I don't know what that means. Hopefully that's not a cuss word. A term that originated on 4chan, so it might have, I don't know, it might be bad, to insult fans of Japanese culture. The term became popular in the early 2010s, especially in anime and manga communities. So there's people that are just basically obsessed with Japanese culture to where they dress like it and they're not really Japanese. I mean, I don't have any problem with people just like liking Japanese culture, of course. I think there's some cool aspects to Japanese culture. I mean, samurais and stuff like that, whatever. But yeah, to go over the top and wish you were Japanese, I mean, that's a little weird, isn't it? To dress like an anime cartoon character. That's, you know, if you're a Christian and you're walking around in anime outfits or whatever, I mean, that's a little strange, wouldn't you say? If you do that, then, you know, that's between you and God. But if I see you out in public, I'm gonna laugh at you. So, what is broided hair? Expensive hairstyles, I would say. Ornate hairstyles, things that you spend a lot of time and a lot of money on, because hairstyles can cost a lot of money. Haircuts can cost a lot of money, but hairstyles for women can cost a lot of money. When I looked it up, it can mean like to ornament with needlework, to add ornamental work to an existing cloth fabric, for example, a broided coat or girdle, so it can be with needlework, but to braid, an obsolete variant of the word braid, to impose ornamental substances onto hair, to add ornamental substances to hair in any arrangement. So it could be like adding gold, because it talks about gold, pearls, and costly array, so maybe adding that stuff, just having this super expensive hairstyle out in public. So that's not very modest, to weave gold and jewels into your hair, just kind of showing, flaunting your wealth. And then to impose ornamental, or excuse me, so then to break down the verse even further, it says, or gold or pearls or costly array. So gold and pearls just even by themselves, I mean, they're expensive outfit accessories, and costly array. So I would say like Gucci purses, Louis Vuitton, Coach, you know, people use words like, you know, I'm definitely not on the in style with these kind of words here, but fit or drip or fit chicks. I'm definitely not in the whole in style culture, but fit I guess is probably short for outfit, I guess. Drip. As Christians though, we do need to make sure that our fit matches God's standards, you know, our outfit. And then does your drip go down far enough? That's a good question to ask yourself. So are you spending too much time on your fit chicks? Are you spending too much time doing the hair and doing yourself up? And you know, it's a good question to ask. So really what is modesty though? You don't want to overdo it, but also you don't want to underdo it. You want to just be somewhere in the middle where you're not just taking yourself with makeup and doing these crazy expensive hairstyles, wearing super expensive outfits and just completely overdoing it. So here's some tips for the ladies here. A woman's clothing should bring beauty and look feminine, well ordered and clean, coordinate and be neat, draping or flowing, not clinging and tight, not revealing the sacred parts of the body. Clothing should not bring attention to itself, but rather to try to accent the lady's face. A woman should take into account that the way they dress can affect others, other men's wives, single men and married men to bring lust into their hearts. And you know, men don't really need a lot of help in that area. So it's something that you should take into account when you walk out of your house. So turn to Matthew chapter five verse 27. Matthew five verse 27. I'm not just picking on women, I'm really not. But men have a lot harder of a time with these types of things than women do. I know that people will try to say that women aren't attracted to men, like men are attracted, you know, that's ridiculous too. I mean, there's a reason why guys work out, there's a reason, you know, why guys will take their shirts off and flex and all that kind of stuff. So women do like the way guys look. I mean, that's ridiculous to think that they don't. But anyway, let's see. Matthew five 27 says, Have you heard that it is said by them of old time, thou shall not commit adultery, but I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. So men have a hard, why did Jesus gear this towards men? Because men commit this sin a lot. Men have a hard time with this. And so he's saying, now it's not the same as physically committing the act of adultery. It's not the death penalty, okay? The death penalty is physically committing the act of adultery. That's very clear, but what he's saying is that you've committed that act in your heart. So committing it in your heart and actually physically and really doing it are different. But when men have something to look at, then it's gonna be worse for them. So all I'm saying is that ladies, you should take into account the way you dress because men have a hard enough time with this as it is, but without leaving anything to the imagination, it makes it even worse for them. So you don't want to be a stumbling block to cause other men to sin. In other words, don't be like a little Jezebel. Have you ever heard someone say the Jezebel spirit? What I consider that to be is someone that's intentionally dressing that way to get the attention of a bunch of men, and it does happen in churches. So when I was reading those scriptures this morning when Jesus called that woman Jezebel, I don't think that that was her real name. Maybe it was, but I just have a hard time thinking that someone would actually name their daughter Jezebel. Maybe I'm wrong though because people have named their daughter Sativa before, so I don't know. But Sativa and Jezebel are completely different names. So, but anyway, I just think that there can be that kind of a spirit in a person where they just are craving that attention. They'll dress a certain way, and ladies just, I mean, you're causing a stumbling block to your brother because that is your brother, and then you're disrespecting other people's wives because if their husbands are drawn to you because of that, and I'm not saying it's right for men to do that. I'm not. I'm not excusing that. I'm just saying that you are making things difficult for other men, okay? So don't dress like a whore, you know? It's just plain and simple. Just don't do it. You're like, that's rude, Pastor Thompson. Well, look at Proverbs 7, verse 10. Look at Proverbs 7, 10. And guys, you know, don't dress like a whoremonger. But there is a verse that says don't dress like a whore, or there's at least a verse that says that there's an attire of a harlot. Proverbs 7, 10 says, and behold, there met him a woman with the attire of a harlot. So is there such thing as the attire of a harlot? The Bible says there is. And then it says, and subtle of heart. Who else was subtle? The devil was subtle in the Garden of Eden when he was beguiling Eve, right? So subtle of heart, so she's what? She's doing this on purpose. You know, there's this big Me Too movement, and I'm gonna tell my story, and all this other stuff, and look, I get that a lot of that's true, and a lot of things happen that are unfortunate. I'm not saying that it doesn't happen. But like I said this morning, did Joseph, if Joseph would have been in the Me Too era, would that have been true about him? No. So there are people that get accused falsely for things, but what I'm saying here is that she dressed like this on purpose. This woman dressed like a harlot on purpose in Proverbs 7 10, and it says she was subtle of heart. That means she was trying to, what, seduce him on purpose. So this does happen. I'm not just whistling Dixie up here. No offense, Ms. Dixie. I'm not just saying things to be sane and we're trying to be obtuse for no reason. This is a fact. This is what the Bible says, folks. There are people that try to seduce men, ladies that would try to seduce men by dressing like this. And when people say things like, well, she knew what she was doing, sometimes that is true. So don't just get mad about that. Sometimes it is true. And I'm not making excuses for any man that would violate some woman because of the way she was dressed. I'm not saying that's right at all. But at the same time, though, there are women that dress like that on purpose to get attention. And if you're gonna get attention, I mean, there are men that are rapists. They should be put to death. But also, ladies should, you know, you shouldn't be wearing the entire of a harlot either. I mean, sometimes you can draw the wrong person's attention and things happen that you wish never would have happened. But don't dress like that because you're probably less likely for something like that to happen. Now I'm gonna get hard and feathered for saying that, but hey, the Bible says that there are people that dress that way on purpose. Doesn't it say that? You read the story with me this morning where it said that Joseph was falsely accused and he didn't do anything. She was the abuser. It's true. So, and let me just make myself clear. There's never any excuse to rape a woman, ever. And I would kill somebody with my bare hands if I ever caught somebody doing it, ever. I would kill them. If I had a chance to kill them and get away with it, I would do it. I wouldn't even care if I got away with it. I think it's lawful in the state of Washington if you catch someone in the act of a crime like that, you can kill them. And you know what? It'd be like, boom. It'd be no problemo. I'm not trying to say I'm plotting a murder, okay? I'm just saying that like, stuff like that really gets me fired up. So, you know, I hope that never happens, but I mean, that's what the Bible says should happen to them anyway. They should be executed. So, if you're protecting someone's life, then there's no problem with that, right? If I saw somebody molesting a kid, I would do the same thing. Because they're not gonna get any justice in the court systems here, are they? So, turn to Isaiah chapter, let's see. What does the Bible say is nakedness on a woman? Let's look at Isaiah chapter 47 verse one. Isaiah 47 one. I'm just gonna cover nakedness in general right now. So, what does the Bible consider the bounds that we should not push past in our clothing? Well, Isaiah 47 one says, and this is of ladies here, I'm just saying it defines the bounds of it right here. Come down, Isaiah 47 one, come down and sit in the dust, oh virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground. There is no throne, oh daughter of the Chaldeans, for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate. Take the millstone and grind the meal, uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers. Now, once she makes bare the leg, it says in the next verse, thy nakedness shall be uncovered. So, once the thigh is uncovered, that means the nakedness is uncovered. Isn't that what it's saying? Yea, thy shame shall be seen. So, when you're naked, that's your shame being seen. You don't want people, nobody wants to be seen naked. I mean, nobody does. Accidentally or on purpose, unless you're in the confines of your marriage or something like that, right? So, it says, yea thy shame shall be seen. So, once the thigh is uncovered and people see it, that's your shame being seen. They're gonna see parts of you that shouldn't be seen by people, right? So, in women, it's the thighs being uncovered, okay? So, God defines nakedness for us in that verse. Now, that's not the only part he does it, but let's turn to Isaiah 20, just for sake of moving in a symmetrical way here. But, the loins to the thighs at the backside of you is also a part that God would consider nakedness to be uncovered and, you know, for some unknown reason, this part is all, you know, thighs are an attractive part to men. The rear end, for whatever reason, is also an attractive part. But, Isaiah 20, verse 2, what's it say about nakedness here? So, in Isaiah 20, verse 2, it says, the same time spake the Lord by Isaiah, the son of Amoz, saying, go and loose the sackcloth from off thy loins. Taking it off his loins, what's he uncovering? His nakedness, right? And put off thy shoe from thy foot, and he did so, walking naked and barefoot. And the Lord said, like as my servant Isaiah hath walked naked and barefoot three years for a sign and a wonder upon Egypt and upon Ethiopia, so shall the king of Assyria lead away the Egyptians' prisoners and the Ethiopians' captives, young and old, naked and barefoot, even with their, what's it say there? Their buttocks uncovered to the shame of Egypt. So, it's a shame to have your butt uncovered. I'm sorry to be so crass, but the word buttocks, butt is short for buttocks, okay? That's a Bible word, okay? So, don't get all, I know it's uncomfortable, okay? We'll get through it together, all right? But, it is nakedness to see that. Isn't that what he's saying? We're walking naked and barefoot, the loins are uncovered, okay. Nobody wants people to see their butt, okay? It's just, you know, it's not something you want people to know or see. So, that is defined as nakedness. And, you know, of course, God's telling this, this is not something he wants everybody to do. This is a special thing that he had Isaiah do. Unfortunately, sometimes God's men have to go through some hard things that he doesn't ask other people to do. I mean, Ezekiel had to not cry when his wife died. Didn't he have to sleep on his side for like one side for six months? I mean, he had to eat, he asked him to eat human poo inside of his bread, and then he's like, please, Lord, don't make me do that. And he's like, all right, just cow poop. And then he had to eat bread with cow poop in it. For I don't know how long, but, I mean, that's gross, right? Be thankful you've never had to be a prophet. So, now, breast is another thing. So, now, it's not defined as nakedness, yet people cover them up, don't they? Ladies cover them up. And turn to Proverbs 5, Proverbs 5. So, the Bible talks about this, and this is talking about, you know, this passage here is basically talking about how we should stick to the wife of our youth, how we should drink waters out of our own cistern, running waters out of our own well. It's not talking about water. This is a euphemism for staying within the bounds of our marriage here, but look at verse 15. It says, drink water out of thine own cistern and running waters out of thine own well. Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad in the rivers of water in the streets. Let them be only thine own and not strangers with thee. Let thine fountain be blessed and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe. Let her breast satisfy thee at all times. And be thou ravished always with her love. And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, embrace the bosom of a stranger. So when the Bible talks about her breasts satisfying at all times, it's not talking about men breastfeeding. It's just talking about that men like breasts and those breasts of your wife are the ones that should satisfy you, okay? So this, so when people say, well it's weird to think that guys like, you're living in like a cave of just unbelief and untruth if you don't think that that's true. It's a fact, okay? And that's why I'm telling you this is that you should keep those things covered up so that people aren't staring at them, all right? And I'm not saying that you have to wear a tent when you're breastfeeding or something that like you should have a tent set up and go in there. I'm not saying that, okay? That goes too far too. It shouldn't be like a hijab over you or something weird that Adam Fanon and Donny Romero were teaching or whatever, but to say that it's just okay to flop them out whenever you feel like it also is just not legitimate either. I think that there's again a balance with these things and I think our ladies do a good job of being discreet and yet it's not ridiculous at our church. Song of Solomon seven verse six. But I've also been to churches where it's just like you kind of just have to like turn your head because it's just like, yeah, anyway. I don't want to go too far into that, but I've just seen it happen where I'm just like, okay, time to turn my head. It's like no warning, ah, you know. Song of Solomon seven six and it's almost like it's done in a way to just flaunt that that's the, I don't know. You know what I'm saying. All right, how fair and how pleasant art thou, O love of my, for O love for delights. This thy stature is like a palm tree and thy breast to clusters of grapes. I say I will go up to the palm tree, I will take hold of the bows thereof. Now also thy breast shall be as clusters of the vine and the smell of thy nose like apples. So this is poetry of course, but you know it's part of the poetry is Solomon talking about breast, right? And you know men are attracted to breasts, it's just the way it is. And you can think it's weird all you want, but it's just the way it is. So wearing outfits that accentuate particular areas or leaving your garments too short, not wearing things long enough, not letting your drip drip down far enough or whatever, allowing cleavage to show those types of things should be avoided to the best of one's ability. To avoid being a stumbling block is what it's about. So Romans 14, 13 says let us not therefore judge one another anymore, but judge this rather that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. I mean that's the spirit of the law, right? So what else causes lust? Shorts, cut too short. Well guys if you're gonna wear shorts, you know the thigh law goes to you too. And you know the tight clothing, the low neck lines for ladies, braless clothing, slits above the knees, revealed midriff. I mean when I go to Christian churches and I see that ladies are letting their stomachs show at church, I mean I just, I can't understand that. I don't understand how someone's dad lets them out of the house wearing those types of clothes. They'd be like nope, back to your room. You need to get some longer drip there. Bathing suits can cause lust. When men and women are swimming in the same place, I mean swim dresses are an option. It's not like you can't get them. See through clothing, of course, make sure your dresses and skirts have slips that are not see through. Swimming's not wrong, but being naked in front of the opposite sex is unless that's your spouse, okay. I made this point the last time I preached, but Luke 8.27 says that when he went forth to the land, there met him out of the city a certain man which had devils a long time and wear no clothes. So this possessed guy, the maniac of Gadara is who it is, he didn't wear any clothes. Neither a boat in any house, but in the tombs, but you know when Jesus saved him, what's one of the first things he did, you know when people came and they saw that he was in his right mind and what, wearing clothes. The first thing he did was well maybe I need to put some clothes on. So I mean when we get saved, those are things that should be just automatic for us to do. So the maniac Gadara, he got it right and he got it right right away. Acts 19, 16, and the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them and overcame them and prevailed against them so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. So I made this point in the last sermon so I'm just gonna make it again though cause I like this point. The devil wants us naked and hurt. He wants to strip us naked, he stripped Adam and Eve naked cause what happened immediately after they ate that fruit? The tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they realized that they were naked. And now we have to wear clothes for the rest of our life. And even in heaven we're gonna be wearing clothes. Which that's a good thing, I mean, they just didn't know. They didn't realize they were naked, they were innocent, they had no clue and now we have to wear clothes forever. So even in heaven though, if you look at any of the verses talking about us being in heaven, they're wearing clothes. So of course we have the righteousness of Christ and that picture, you know, think about this also, Adam and Eve tried to clothe themselves and did they do it the right way? See, without God's help, without God's guidance in the scriptures, we probably wouldn't know that we need to be covered up enough. So what did God have to do? So they made fig leaves and made aprons. Well, if you've ever worn an apron before when you're cooking before, what's missing in the back? Your buttocks is gonna be showing if you're just wearing an apron made of leaves, okay? I don't know what kind of exact apron it was, but I don't know. Whatever it was, it wasn't enough. It was made out of vegetation and God killed some animals and put coats of skins upon them to cover them, okay? So, you know, God wants us to be clothed, the devil wants us to be naked. And why? Because you're in more lying to sin and do wrong. People are gonna see you and take advantage of you. You're gonna be, you know, enticed to do things that you normally would not do. And so we don't want to be exposed. Jesus was naked when he was on the cross. Now, I don't know that his everything was being shown. The Bible doesn't actually say that. But they did take all of his clothes off. They gambled for them while he was hanging on the cross. I mean, it doesn't say that he had his undergarments or whatever, but they did have everything else. So I'm guessing his thighs were exposed while he was up there. So in that sense, he was naked. And why would they do that? Why would the devil allow that when he's being crucified? To humiliate him even more. And when people were crucified in those times, they did strip their prisoners down naked to embarrass them even more. What's more embarrassing than you hanging on a cross somewhere for everybody to look at while you're dying? It's embarrassing. And so the devil wanted to just humiliate him as much as they possibly could. So you know, clothes are something and turn to Deuteronomy chapter 22 verse 5. Now, there's a lot of things that God calls an abomination, and I don't have time to go through the verses. I'm just running out of time here, but there's a lot of things that God calls an abomination in the Bible, and they're still an abomination today. Now, of course, shellfish is good now. But it was an abomination because you know, God wanted to make a difference between his people and all the other nations. So he didn't allow us to mix fabric and all that stuff. Now people use that as, well, do you eat shellfish? Haha! I mean, we're okay to eat shellfish now. We're okay to mix fabrics. We're okay to skip the Sabbath day. But it's not okay to be a faggot. Like, he didn't die on the cross so you could be, you know, surprised you could be gay now. No. That's not how it goes. The moral laws are still in effect. And this is a moral law. Deuteronomy 22.5, a woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all that do so are an abomination unto the Lord thy God. God hates cross-dressers. He hates transvestites. He hates these types of homos. And, you know, there's just no doubt about it. He doesn't want us wearing the opposite gender quo. When I first started preaching this sermon, I said if I walked in with the dress on, that would be unacceptable. And I actually said the last time I preached about this, I said I would want you to beat me to death and then throw me outside. But, you know, in reality, I was thinking about this and I was like, if I say I walked in one night to preach a sermon, I'm wearing a full-blown dress, dressed like a woman, wearing makeup and everything, long wig on everything, then you should just know that I didn't I'm not a reprobate that somebody's holding my family hostage somewhere with a gun threatening that if I don't do this, they're going to kill my whole family. Because that's the only way that I would do it. That is the only way. And then you should know we need to figure out a way to find out where Pastor Thompson's family is being held. Because that's the only way it's happening, folks. And then, even then, I would still be okay if you killed me because, you know, you didn't know any better or whatever. Because, really, I mean to be seen in public like that would be almost worse than dying. It would probably be as bad as dying for me. So, God hates that. And look, the ceremonial laws are done, but the moral laws are not done with. And God wants there to be a distinction between men and women. Men wear pants. God told Moses to make linen breeches to cover their nakedness, and it should reach from the loins even unto their thighs. That's what the Bible teaches. There's no place in the Bible where it says for women to put on breeches or breeches or pants. That's what it's talking about. So, look, ladies, don't be part of the faggot agenda wearing pants. You know, and look, if you want to raise a man, dress him like a man. If you want to raise a lady, dress her like a lady. Don't dress him in pants and then put a dress on him later on and then expect him to figure out that, you know, oh, it was just, it was okay while you were just little. No, dress him like a lady now. Dress him like a lady throughout their life and, you know, let them know early that you're not going to compromise on these things. And, you know, it's easy to compromise because it's the same thing with kids' clothes. You know, they want to put women in, it's like these black actors. They're always trying to put them in dresses. Like, it's kind of a weird thing in Hollywood. Like, you know the guy that played, like, you know, he's got like a crossed eye, plays like Deebo or something in the Friday movie. He's been in a lot of, he said, he's not even in Hollywood anymore because he refused to put a dress on. And that's what they tried to do with Dave Chappelle and that's why he left Africa. You know, I've watched these conspiracy things. Now Dave Chappelle completely sold out and when he came back for a Saturday Night Live thing, his skit, he didn't wear a dress, but they superimposed dresses on him through the end of the skit and put him as the Statue of Liberty. What does that tell you about the Statue of Liberty? It's an actual training. But anyway, they want to put black men in dresses. Why? To humiliate them. Because it's not something that they like in their culture. But they want to do this with women with pants for some reason too. Why? They want to make you look like a man. So don't fall for it. As a Christian, you know, we shouldn't dress, you know, it's wrong for me to put on a dress, but it's wrong for you to put on pants. It's not, one is not better than the other. It's the same. It's like, it's like women get the pass. But it's not the way it should be. And look, don't get all bristled and upset about it. You know, if you own, you know, if you're still wearing pants in secret, you know, just go to the Lord, say you're sorry, burn your pants, and be done with it. So just because other ladies are wearing pants, it doesn't mean you should. And here's the excuses you get. They're not comfortable. I don't know how, I mean, they're, they are, I don't know, I've never worn a dress, so I guess I don't know the difference. But I guess if you're doing manly things, then they're probably not comfortable. I can't do sports. Well, then don't do sports. You know, I, there's no decent clothes in the stores. I've already talked about that. It's not a big deal, I feel. You know, but your feelings don't count. It's accepted today. So what? You don't get sick of people, like, I saw this comment yesterday, and it was like, I can't believe that there's still churches like this in 2024. Yeah, because not everybody's bowing their knees to Baal, and kissing him on the lips, like you are. Just because all the other churches are bowing down, and serving the devil, it doesn't mean that all the churches are going to do that. There's still going to be some churches that stand up for the truth, and still say what the Bible says. And look, if we're whittled down to nothing, we're still going to preach what the Bible says. It's just that simple. And if it harelips every dog in the county, and every woman in the church, I'm sorry, I'm not trying to offend you, I'm just telling you what the Bible says. And it shouldn't make you bristle, it shouldn't make you upset, you should just see what the Bible says, and just accept it. You know, you're like, well, there's only one verse in the Bible that says that women aren't supposed to wear men's clothes. But there's still one verse, isn't there? There's only one John 3 16 verse. I mean, that's a bad point to make. There's only one verse, but there's still one, isn't there? And it's a good verse, because it says vice versa. Men aren't supposed to wear women's garments, dresses and skirts. Women aren't supposed to wear men's clothes. What is that? Bridges, pants, shorts, that type of stuff. So, those arguments are not valid, those excuses are not valid. So, and again, this is more, why am I harping more about the lady stuff? Well, because this is more of a lady's problem in reality. This, you know, I'm not having to stop men from wearing dresses in here. I'm not really having to stop, I mean, but more women wear pants here than men wear dresses. You know how many men wear dresses here? Zero. You know how many women have walked in wearing pants? A lot. And look, I'm not trying to, you know, the brainwashing has done its job. And I'm not mad at women for doing that. I'm just, you know, it's something that has to be taught, and not everybody is willing to accept it. But, you know, it's what the Bible says. And so that's what's important. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just trying to help you. And, you know, I'm just trying, you know, if God's, you're like, well God's not mad at me about that. Well, you just work that out with him. I just, the Bible says, and that's it. So, you know, and why am I preaching sermons like this? Well, because in the summertime, people are more likely to wear less clothes. So, it's part of the summertime vices sermons. So, anyway, let's pray. Lord, we thank you so much for the Bible and the clear instruction that we have in it. And Lord, I pray if there's anyone struggling with any of these things, I pray that they would just make their hearts right. Just see what the Bible says, and follow what it says, and get right with God. Get right with you, Lord, about these things, and pray that you'd help us to have grace towards other people that come into our church that maybe don't fully understand these things.
