last week everybody was sick so it was really short on on thursday night too so but i'm glad to see some people are feeling better and back in church there are still some people sick so let's remember to pray for them our upcoming events we have well yesterday i just want to say thank you to everybody that came to miss abe's baby shower made it special for her and uh looks like y'all had a good time and uh had some good food and so just appreciate everybody who put in hard work to make that happen and uh october 22nd is our next uh event and that's going to be the busy farms pumpkin patch and that will be at 11 a.m it's usually one of the highlights of the year here so our church doesn't charge money for anything so if you want to come you may come and if you want to invite friends or family you may do that too but i just need to know that you're doing that because tickets are only bought online they've kind of gone to this online they stayed with the covid protocols basically when it comes to buying tickets so i think you can purchase tickets possibly up front but anyway i just need to know who's going and who's uh signing up so we have a sign up inside the whatsapp group if pastor menes is like family and his family is like family to us and so he's gonna be preaching for us on the 23rd at 10 30 in the morning so i'm very excited about having pastor menes and his family here so that'll be a weekend you don't want to miss out on october 28th through 30th we've had to change the plans i was going to do a preaching service in seattle and do all this other stuff but because they opened up the borders we're going to go ahead and make a special event at the church building there in surrey and so it'll be a special service weekend pastor jared pazarski will be preaching at 10 a.m on saturday i should have put that saturday in there so i'm getting there friday you may go there friday we're having like a barbecue friday night and like some fellowship and and all that good stuff and then in the morning pastor pazarski is going to preach the 10 a.m on saturday and then there'll be a lunch provided for everybody at 11 30 and then i'll be preaching at 1 p.m so we're doing a really quick back-to-back type service and then we also have brother jim weeb from sound doctrine baptist fellowship they're like a soul-winning group in winkler manitoba canada it's way far away from here but uh anyway he's gonna be preaching the 10 a.m service uh that sunday morning at the church in surrey so and then i think brother wins preaching the evening service but it'll be a great weekend and so if you're wanting to go to that um you're more than welcome to but you do have to have a passport or a enhanced id so if you have an enhanced license you can go across the border with that or um and if you're bringing your kids i think you have to bring birth certificates i'm not sure that they would even check all the birth certificates but they probably would because it is another country i don't know with all the you know trafficking stuff that goes on they probably would ask you for that so you have to have those if you're gonna go and that's that's pretty much it and uh just come see me if you want to go to the services because i'm hoping that some of our church will travel up there but and then just spend the whole weekend there if you want um you don't have to come home saturday like i'm going to but we're having a chili uh dinner after the service the next day here at our church and so if you want to make a chili uh bowl we probably need to do a sign up for that i'm thinking who's gonna bring it because if everybody just thinks well i can't i'm not gonna be able to make it but everybody else can and then we just have like one bowl of chili there's gonna be a fight there's gonna be a fight especially over the beanless chili there will probably be a fist fight so we need to to figure out who's who's coming what kind of chili if it's spicy put that it's gonna be spicy if it's uh just regular chili just we'll need some mild we need some spicy and some other kinds of chili if you want to put the abomination called the bean in there then you're no i'm just kidding i'm uh that's pastor shelley's thing not mine i actually like chili with beans but i like chili with meat too so i like it both ways but uh i don't like how i end up on one of them so i'll just leave that to your imagination but anyway so there'll be a men's preaching night that night also um after the chili dinner so that should be interesting we'll probably all have to run for cover at the end of that so uh we'll need to do i'll need a certain amount of men to go ahead and sign up for that we'll probably just do it like in the men's group if you're in our men's what whatsapp group you can go ahead and sign up in there or just let me know that you're gonna be in there so and then november 6 we have daylight savings time we need to fall back so you set your well your everybody has cell phones now so like it just happens automatically in the middle of the night but don't forget that if you're staying up let you know here's what i like to do i like to stay up later like an idiot and then i don't get that extra hour of sleep you think i'd figure it out after a while well i'm always like well it's not really that time so i'm just gonna stay up a little bit later so anyway don't stay up too late and miss church okay november 22nd the midweek service will be moved from thursday to tuesday we're gonna have a pie social that evening so that way um you can get all your cooking and go visit family and all that stuff and we're still gonna have a church service on tuesday christmas day is gonna be on sunday this year so i know this is well far in advance but time goes by pretty fast when you're busy right so christmas day we're still going to have a church services i'm not going to cancel church services and we're going to do an altered schedule so that's going to be 10 a.m and 1 p.m for the preaching services and uh we'll probably have we might just do the the prime rib thing uh it might be that day but it might be the week before i don't know i haven't figured it out yet so but we'll we got time to plan all that um and then we are a family integrated church that means the children infants are welcome during the church services please utilize the mother baby rooms and dad baby room for your convenience and make sure that you are reserving back rows for families with young children rockers or gliders or for pregnant nursing mothers and elders only please no men in the mother baby room no moms in the dad baby room no unattended children in the building at any time please uh please no food in the assembly area silence your cell phones if you would at this time please and then if you need an escort by one of the ushers are available to walk you to your car if you're a lady that's you you don't have your husband with you or you're just a single lady then we would ask that especially when it starts getting darker that you would actually utilize that service so and then there's a couple ways to give written there on the bulletin and then the uh ties and offerings so far for the month and uh if you're not 100 sure that you're saved or you need to be baptized please see me after the service or an usher after the service and we would love to take the bible and show you how to be saved um or if you've never been scripturally baptized and scripturally baptized means that you get baptized after you get saved and chapter 24 book of matthew chapter 24 if you don't have a bible if you look in the seat in front of you you may find one and if you do not have one you'd raise your hand and usher will bring you one matthew chapter 24 as we typically do we're going to read the entire chapter starting in verse 1 matthew chapter 24 now this would be a good idea verse 1 and jesus went out and departed from the temple and his disciples came to him for to show him the buildings of the temple and jesus said unto them see not all these things verily i say unto you there shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down and as he sat upon the mount of alves the disciples came unto him privately saying tell us when shall these things be and what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the world and jesus answered and said unto them take heed that no man deceive you for many shall come in my name saying i am christ and shall deceive many and you shall hear of wars and i i decided to go with a short series uh i just was thinking about these sayings here about uh so last week i preached about lot and how it was in the days of lot so shall it be in the days of the son of man preached that out of luke chapter number 17 i believe that's where it talks about lot and in this chapter it talks jesus talks about as it was in the days of noah so let's look down our bibles at verse 37 the bible says but as in the days of noah were so were so shall also the coming of the son of man be for as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking and marrying and given in marriage until the day that noah entered into the ark and knew not until the flood came and took them all away so shall also the coming of the son of man be let's pray heavenly father we thank you lord so much for the scriptures and lord how it just lays out perfectly in in your son's words uh what's going to come upon this world and lord that this is a day that we need to be prepared for these are times that we need to be prepared for i pray lord that uh everybody under the sound of my voice tonight or this morning would uh take these things to heart and lord uh just know that uh these things must come to pass before uh you finally come back so we pray that you would just bless and and and give people the ears to hear and to hear what the spirit says to the church this morning pray you fill me with your spirit in jesus name i pray amen all right so so last week i brought it up that lot you know jesus mentions lot he he mentions lot and he mentions noah for re for two specific reasons so the first reason is is that he's he's given us a picture that once the rapture happens that's when the wrath of god is poured out it's a perfect picture so all these things are going on in lots life he's living in a place called sodom that's very wicked and evil and abraham uh tries to talk god out of destroying sodom because he's thinking that there's people there that are saved but abraham goes back and forth with god and he's like if there's 60 will you spare the city if there's 50 if there's 40 and he gets them all the way down to 10 and then he says if there's 10 then i'll spare it for the 10 sake but what happened that city was destroyed by fire and brimstone lot escaped his wife looked back she became a pillar of salt and uh she left her heart in tel aviv and then he he only walked out of there with his two daughters and then he ends up backslidden in some cave and committing incest with his daughters who became two wicked nations so but the picture of lot god not allow not god would not pour out his wrath because he's told ab he told abraham he's not going to slit you know god abraham said to god will you slay the righteous with the wicked and so god isn't going to pour out his wrath upon a world where his people still are so that's the picture and then the picture with noah is the same thing but he kind of says some of the same things he he says and we of course know what is the significance of noah everybody attaches him to the great flood that wiped out the everybody on the face of the earth besides him his wife his three sons and their wives so eight people in total are the only ones that escaped a flood that destroyed every man woman and child and beast on the earth except for the ones that were put into the ark so two by two they went into the ark some were sevens which were the clean beasts but but everybody else dead so the whole population of the world had to be restarted by those eight people and those animals that were on the ark but what's the picture there so what's the picture look at verse 38 it says for as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking marrying and giving in marriage until the day that noah entered into the ark so basically he's saying like life just kind of went on as it normally does but there's also other things that he didn't really talk doesn't really talk about here and i would say that's not the primary application the primary application is that like people aren't going to suspect what's about to happen they don't really know what's going to happen but you know what the elect will not be fooled the people that are saved are going to understand the people that are not safe they're not going to understand they're going to be living their lives like normal you know getting ready for a wedding or whatnot drinking burying eating whatever else people do normally and it says and knew not until the flood came and took them all away so shall also the coming of the son of man be so he's going to surprise it's going to be a surprise to everybody else that lives on this earth but it's not going to be a surprise to us because christians are going to be running for their lives while everybody's eating and drinking and marrying you know there's going to be a a manhunt going on if you will for all the christians on the face of the earth and and the bible says if it was the time was not shortened no flesh would be saved and so that's talking about people will say well they that persevere till the end you know so that means that you have to you know keep god's commandments until the end or you're going to lose your salvation that's not what it's talking about persevering to the end is talking about that you you know make it to the time when jesus comes back right so again obviously the main point jesus is trying to make is that every you know everything's going to go forward like it normally does but then judgment's going to come once these people are gone because what happened when noah and his family got on the ark immediately it started raining and then the fountains of the deep broke up and i'm sure people were probably scratching at the door trying to get in but the bible says that the lord closed the door so once that door is closed they were safe they were protected inside the ark just like people that when the rapture comes when jesus comes back in the clouds to to raise the dead and save those that are alive and remain once we're safe then the wrath is poured out upon mankind so these two men represent these bible truths that you know the people that are saved are going to be safe and then the people that are unsuspecting and wicked are going to experience the wrath of god so but you know before this judgment hits like in the case of law he was taken out of the area before it was destroyed because god again will not destroy the righteous with the wicked and so but underneath the surface like like last week i went into you know what what was also in the case of lot what also was going on in the days of lot well you had major homo activity going on in the city that he lived so much to the point that none nobody else was saved think about that but you know people today want to say oh these homos can be saved well how come he didn't save any there how come they all got destroyed because if there was 10 righteous then god would have spared it right so that what does that tell you that none of those people were saved so these people that say well yeah some homos can be saved or they're they're they can be saved well why weren't they saved in in in sodom why weren't they saved in sodom and the other places like gomorrah and the other towns and villages that god destroyed it was like an infestation that happened in that place and then it was spreading out and god used his wrath and judgment to destroy them and set them forth as an example of those that should after or live ungodly anybody that does this sin now god doesn't fireball he doesn't fireball san francisco or some of these other you know tel Aviv or some of these other really major queer places but it's going to happen again i mean god's going to judge you know no the flood was judged by water every time we see a rainbow we we think in the sky we don't think lgbt we think that god promised that he wasn't going to destroy the world with the flood again that's what the bible says so they just want to hijack that thing and i'm not preaching about that this morning but i do want to say that last you know if you weren't here for last week's sermon that's you know we see this this uptick in homosexuality well what's it like in the days of the coming of the son of man well look at look at our world today just look at what's going on around you drag queens reading stories to children and dancing in front of them at strip clubs and letting children go into these places it's happening and the left wants to say oh that's not really happening yes it is and you know obviously you don't want to watch you know sick things like that but obviously you know it is happening and why do they want to read stories to little children anyway that's weird dressed up like some kind of fruitcake you know why because they want to pollute and destroy their minds they want to plant a seed in their minds to try to let that germinate they want to make it all normal that's what they want to make it normal it's not normal it's weird it's freaky so nobody wants to see that it's like halloween every every day for them you know they're dressed up like women and like i even saw like this interview where this this training was actually saying you know what it is kind of weird that they're doing this and this person's a transvestite they're actually saying it is kind of weird that they're reading storybooks of children it is kind of weird that they're letting them dance in front of them and put dollar bills in their waistband it is kind of weird he's like he said or it said or whatever it was said that that in the back rooms the things that are going on are things are just that are just disgusting and they're allowing children to go in and see that but like it was in the days of lot so shall it also be in the days of the son of man so why is there such an uptick in all this queerness well it's because uh you know it's gonna be a lot like that when jesus christ comes back now i'm not saying he's coming back any moment it can get worse it can get a lot worse so but when it comes to noah what was it like in the days of noah well i want to raise a few questions as i preach this sermon uh one question is i want to that i want to raise is why did god judge the world what are the reasons why god judged the world in noah's day and it's a clue or is this a clue excuse me as how the world might be when jesus christ comes back why did god judge the world and kill every single thing on the planet except for knowing his family and some animals why and why will he do it again by plagues and with fire so he's not going to do it again with a flood but by plagues and fire everybody's always like you guys are so wrathful you guys are so mean you guys are so judgmental jesus nice jesus not the nice god wouldn't do those things well have you read the book of revelation because those things have not happened yet so please explain to me how he's nice jesus when the worst and most harsh things happen in the book of revelation he's like here's some blood drink this blood here's some boils that won't go away here's some uh some scorpion type creatures that come out and sting people but don't kill them and this is a judgment that happens for months and months and months what about the talents of icy stone that come down that are flaming with fire and people blaspheme even after that is accomplished god's going to judge this world just like he did you know he judged the whole world when it came in the days of noah he judged all those sodomites in genesis chapter 19 he still feels the same way about that and guess what san francisco is going to go up in flames tel Aviv's going to go up in flames seattle washington's going to go up in flames you know all these places are going to get destroyed so it's like it's not like god is not going to judge these things he's going to judge them it's storing up judgment though god has been storing up this judgment for a long time and it's going to be very bad but what are the reasons what what was it like in the days of noah let's look at genesis chapter 6 and we're going to stay in genesis chapter 6 and go back and forth to it several times but what i want to kind of lay out why you know what it was like in the days of noah why did god destroy them and why is god going to do it again well look at genesis 6 1 it says and it came to pass when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born unto them that the sons of god saw the daughters of men that they were fair and they took them wives of all they chose now there's a lot of confusion when it comes to this verse here people will say well these are the demons that come down and they make children with with women and they become the giants of the earth these are the nephilim so let me just tell you explain something to you nephilim just means giant okay not 450 foot tall giant every time you see giants in the bible and it gives their their size it's never over 10 feet tall so there's no such thing you know the book of enoch talks about 450 foot tall giants that book does not belong in the bible you know why because it's just rubbish it's garbage so when it's talking about the sons of god the bible says that we are the sons of god the people that are saved are the sons of god the people that believe on the lord jesus christ are the sons of god john 112 says but as many as received him to them gave you power to become the sons of god even to them that believe on his name so what's going on here is that the sons of god the saved men are going and taking heathen wives that don't believe that's what it's talking about so they choose these these daughters these daughters these fleshly style daughters that are not godly they don't believe like them and then this begins to make the earth go corrupt why does god always say don't marry outside of your faith why is the bible ultimately teach that throughout the whole scriptures why is he saying don't take these heathen wives why did salmon go astray well because they took wives that they were not supposed to take look at verse three and the lord said my spirit shall not always strive with man for that he is all or he also is flesh yet his days shall be in 120 years it's not talking about the lifespan because the lifespan was longer than that what's he talking about there's a countdown happening it's uh you guys got 120 more years to get things right and otherwise the judgment's going to come right so it says there were giants in the earth in those days and also after that so it says when the sons of god came in unto the daughters of men and they bare children to them the same became became mighty men which were of old men of renown so it's just it's so when people say well see they made giants is that what it says it says when the sons of god came into so it says there were giants in the earth in those days and also after that so are there giants in the earth now yes there are were there giants in the earth a thousand years ago yes how about two thousand years ago how about three thousand years ago yes there's always been giants in the earth so that's it's just making that comment there it's not saying that they made the giants because there's a lot of people that have tall children that weren't nephilim okay they weren't demons you know demon seeds of some devil and then that made their so like i'm a pretty pretty big guy right pretty tall guy six foot eight i wouldn't say i was a giant but i'm head and shoulders above most people okay but so like my mom as far as i know was not married to a nephilim or whatever these people come up with these strange strange doctrines look and here's the other thing every this is just a fact of science everything brings forth after its own kind the bible teaches very clearly that angels do not get married they do not procreate jesus may you know when they when the pharisees tried to ask them well who's you know when you know i think it was the son dies and then there's like seven different guys marry the wife or whatever to raise up seed um they asked they try to trick jesus with this question he goes well that's going to be in heaven we're not going to be married or we'll be like the angels of heaven so in other words there will be no no no those style of relationships so but but if that's the way it is they they've never been able to procreate like that they've never been able to have children their angels are created beings they have a specific purpose and so it's not saying you know and again here's another thing that to just throw at you if they're the sons of god and that means they'd be good guys so there people are saying these demonic angels came down and had had uh in her in or they married they actually married you know so demon has a marriage with a with a regular chick right a regular woman so who who did this marriage i just was wondering you know because it says they married them right who's doing you know and look demons don't have bodies like we do they have their spirit so it's just a stupid thing to believe and this stuff is rife all over the internet i actually knocked on a door on the door of a guy in yakima and he like rejected hearing the gospel was that with you brother drew he actually started just talking about all this weird nephilim stuff and and then eventually he just says i'm not interested anymore because i because i dared to say that the nephilim and the book of enoch didn't believe in the bot or didn't belong in the bible but i just wanted to cover that really quickly because people can get confused over this passage here but you know the bible's teaching here sons of god who are this if you just do a study in the bible of sons of god you're going to come up with people that are saved it's not angels and as a matter of fact hebrews chapter one let's start with it real quick so because he's you know even jehovah's witnesses will be like well well you know jesus was an angel he was michael the archangel or whatever it's like no you're wrong too but hebrews chapter one clearly dispels the fact that angels are even possibly called sons of god let's see what verse is it oh thank you all right so for unto which of the angel said he at any time thou art my son this day have i begotten thee and again i will be to him a father and he shall be to me a son doesn't that verse just destroy the nephilim doctrine right there because it says what angel at any time did he call his son he's never called an angel his son that means jesus christ is not an angel that means these sons of god supposedly that have come down and married you know there's just all kinds of holes in this theory right and the fact that they're getting married and having children these demon children that turn into giant 450 foot tall giants look not every person on youtube is out for your better good they're not out to teach you sound and true doctrine and a lot of these people that get into this nephilim doctrine that that's all they care about that's all they want to talk about how nobody believes the nephilim doctrine it's kind of like the flat earth how flat earthers just want to that's all they want to talk about is that the earth is flat you guys are a bunch of ballers or whatever what a stupid you know he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth it's a circle you can look at the moon that's a circle too when you look at the moon somebody i think it was uh adam gessler took a picture of the moon and put it on facebook and like you can just see it's a sphere you can see it's a spear but what we're supposed to believe that the earth is flat but the moon is a is a ball that's weird anyway i'm not preaching about that but i i gotta get moving here so i just wanted to dispel that really quickly so so it says that you know these so the giants in the earth were backed in and they're there now you know the children of israel had to destroy giants and fight giants to get into the promised land to get into canan they were in there and david of course fought goliath who was a giant he killed some of his sons he killed his brothers you know there were still giants in the earth and there still are today they're called mba basketball players have you ever seen them i mean there's some pretty big dudes uh andre the giant you ever heard of andre the giant you know he's over seven feet tall i i was just i i watched a youtube video just really it was like a youtube short or something and like hulk hogan who's my size but filled with muscles when he was like in his prime or whatever he's just like oh no it was arnold schwarzenegger that's who it was it wasn't hulk hogan but arnold schwarzenegger when he was in his prime was a pretty big dude too he said he got in a fight with andre the giant about who was going to pay the the dinner bill and arnold schwarzenegger said well i'm i'm paying i invited you out that's how it works he said andre the giant just took him like he was a little baby and picked him up and put him on like a piece of furniture and set him down on it so that's the difference between a giant and a regular person anyway let's move on here but the the main point i want to say here is that how did how did this all start how did everything start to go downhill obviously there were already sinners but then saved people saved men started marrying unsaved women and then of course what happens in every instance of the bible when that happens is that the whole family gets corrupted because they're gonna they're gonna get them to to love their gods and to serve their gods they're gonna bend them to their will see men we like to think we're really tough and strong but women can wear you down they have a way of doing it but like chinese water torture they just keep bringing it up it's like i'm done talking about this all right but they just keep on don't they they can just keep going but we're just like fine okay i'll build you an altar to bail you know it's just like but that's kind of what's going on here so really ultimately why did the world get destroyed well it's because of interfaith marriages that's what it was so actually that's my first point christians marrying heathens was one of the things that were happening in the days of noah so look at second corinthians chapter 6 verse 14 second corinthians chapter 6 verse number 14 the bible says in second corinthians chapter 6 verse 14 be not be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness and what communion hath white with darkness basically paul's just saying these things are opposite of each other okay so you don't want to be yoked together what does that mean well when you have two ox or you have a team of of horses or oxen they have these uh things called yokes that would go over their backs and you know so the animal's got to be about the same size they got to be the same kind you weren't supposed to pull with an ass and an ox at the same time and and that's just a picture of intermarrying with something of not your own not your own kind and so if a christian is a kind of person then a heathen is another kind of person but they're unequally yoked because they don't have the same faith right so that's what it's talking about but this could be with anything this could be with business partners don't ever go into business with someone that's a heathen why because if you do they're probably gonna rob you blind and steal the company or i mean i can't even count how many times i have heard of stuff like that happening don't go and i'm saying don't like say hey let's be business partners and then you're business partners with someone that isn't a christian or doesn't believe like you then you're you're just asking yourself to get hurt so it says be not be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness saved unsaved right and what communion hath light with darkness they have no communion zero and what concord hath christ with belial belial is the devil okay christ and the devil have nothing to do with each other or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel some again it's saying someone who's saved with someone who's not saved and then it says in what agreement hath the temple of god with idols for a year the temple of the living god as god has said i will dwell in them and walk in them and i will be their god and they shall be my people wherefore come out from among them and be separate saith the lord and touch not the unclean thing and i will receive you so what's god saying here he's saying hey come out from among these relationships and look if you haven't gotten married yet don't marry someone that's not saved don't marry someone that doesn't have the same faith as you it's just really that simple but see people will just well i think i can change them i think i can make them better i think i can make them spiritual you're if they're not already spiritual before you marry them they don't get married right so they'll let this be a lesson to you young people don't seek after people that aren't of the same faith they might be pretty but you know what you know that pretty comes with the price and beauty is vain anyway so you know what you should be looking at is their spiritual side how are they spiritually are they a soul winner are they a church a regular church attender or are they only going to church with you now because they just want to you know be your spouse someday because i'll tell you what if they weren't already doing that before they're not going to continue doing it once you sign the paperwork and put the rings on the fingers so you think that they're going to stay spiritual they're not going to stay spiritual because if they're not already spiritual now and obviously people can change i'm not saying it's just like absolute but look if someone's just not saved and you are don't pursue that person unless they're saved don't pursue them period isn't that what god's saying it's not just about marriage it's about all different types of things but what's going to make god happy about it that you come out from among them and be separate do you have friends that are unsaved that you still hang around with come out from among them and be separate or you're like well i've been friends with them some since high school it doesn't matter you can still be friends with them you just don't i mean if you used to drink with your buddies at the bar every friday night and you still continue to hang out with that person they're still drinking with their buddies at the bar they're going to corrupt you their influence is going to influence you and if that was something you already had a proclivity to do is be a drinker or be a drunkard or whatever it is that you were into that you have come out from then the more you hang around people like that the worse it's going to be for you and they're going to drag you down you're not going to fix them they're going to fix you for the worse turn to uh genesis oh let's look at did i read the last verse 18 so verse 18 says and i will be a father unto you and he shall be what my sons and daughters say at the lord almighty so again this goes back to genesis chapter 6 who are the sons of god well it says here that we will be his sons and daughters right so there's another proof text for you it would turn to genesis chapter 26 verse 34 genesis 26 verse 34 the bible says and esau was 40 years old when he took to wife judith the daughter of beri the hitite and bashamath the daughter of elon the hitite which were a grief of mind unto isaac and to rebecca you want to grieve your parents marry a heathen that's what i mean isaac and rebecca it was a grief of mind to them why because they knew that that's not going to help esau get any more spiritual and esau was already the not spiritual one so here here you have i mean an example of someone that goes to marry somebody that he's that's out of outside of the faith that he's grown up in and there it's a grief of mind to them why because they what what gods do they worship well they're kenanites so what do you think that they worship they worship other gods and so he goes into that marriage already knowing that and it's all and it's it's upsetting to isaac and rebecca and later on he tries to make up for it by marrying someone that's within you know they're the the the semites or whatever he goes and marries somebody that they do approve of and because they want to make their dad happy but let me just tell you something you can't marry multiple wives in the united states of america you got one chance you got one chance to make it the right person and obviously there's all different situations that go on with marriage and sometimes people get saved while they're already married and the other person doesn't get saved you know that those situations are very tough but there's obviously provisions for if that person would still leave you but you're supposed to still stay with the unsaved spouse if they're okay to stay with you because you know what you made a covenant tell death do us part right so don't just look for an excuse to divorce your spouse i don't think divorce from marriage is taught in the bible as something that's a positive thing obviously jesus says that if you get divorced and you get remarried you're committing adultery so and he says it twice so he doesn't stutter matthew chapter five matthew chapter number 19 if you want to look at this the scripture references so so what why is it grief of mind for a christian to see their child marry a non-christian because they know what's going to come next they know that this there's nothing good coming about in this marriage it's going to be a train wreck so look at judges chapter 14 here's another example of a christian a saved person that went and he liked girls that were not in his faith samson obviously samson was you know was commissioned by the lord to destroy the philistines and some of this has to do with what he did but like i think that samson just like took took uh things and that he wasn't supposed to do necessarily but somehow god worked it out to destroy the philistines anyway because obviously god's will wasn't for samson to have both of his eyes put out and that he was grinding where you know people are mocking him and laughing at him because you know samson went to harlots samson uh he just always liked girls that he shouldn't have liked he always went after women that he shouldn't have went after he always tried to marry women you know the the wife he married got given to his friend that he used for a friend right judges 14 one it says and samson went down to timnath and saw a woman in timnath of the daughters of the philistines and he came up and told his father and his mother and said i have seen a woman in timnath of the daughters of the philistines now therefore get me or get her for me to wife now therefore get her for me to wife so he's demanding that his parents reach out you know there was probably a dowry that had to be paid and obviously we do know that there was a dowry and uh it it was an expensive one so but uh verse three then his father and mother said unto him is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren or among my people that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised philistines fair question because you know what god already told the children of israel not to do that and it says and samson said unto his father get her for me for she pleaseth me well i don't care whether she's not saved i don't care whether she's a heathen i don't care whether she's going to sell me out the first chance she gets i don't care you know she's pretty she pleases me well this is what is going to destroy your life if you go and try to make a marriage with an unsaved heathen that has different belief systems than you even if it's atheism whether it's atheism or just some other strange religion or maybe they're tongue-talking fire walking pentecostals or something or you know they're just some weird cult whatever it is if you make a marriage with that person you're going to pay for that for the rest of your life one way or the other now obviously the best case scenario is that you get them saved but a lot of cases that's not what happens and got first of all god just says don't do that it destroyed the whole world that's what started the snowball of destroying the whole world in the days of noah so he so you know samson's like well you know get her get her for me for she pleases me well as if that's all that matters that's not all that matters it's the rest of your life when you get married you're making a vow for the rest of your life now a lot of people don't take that vow seriously now that we have you know no fault divorces since 1970 which has completely changed the dynamic of the family in america ever since then because you can just divorce someone for any reason i just don't like him he's ugly divorced that's not you know that was not the law until 1970 that's way deep into history isn't it and look at the fruit of all that but people not get not staying together so you know and notice that these men these two men that i make the examples of are not exactly spiritual giants are they samson's not a super spiritual guy even though the bible says the spirit of the lord came upon him multiple times but he was saved though because he was chapter 11 says that he was he's part of the hall of faith in hebrews 11 but what i'm saying to you don't just settle for anyone don't just settle for the pretty girl or the handsome man look at everything that you're going to have to deal with for the rest of your life with that person i mean what's their family like if you grew up in church and you know the bible then you know you should make some some wise decisions when it comes to the rest of your life turn to first kings chapter 11 and first kings chapter 11 i preached about this not too long ago about how solomon does picture the anti-christ in some ways but let's just read it again because this should just and if your brains already shut off you're like i just like this girl i just like this boy and your brains shut off to what the bible says then you know what don't come crying to me when you marry some heathen and then it doesn't work out don't come crying to me about it you know you just deal with it especially if i know you were here at this sermon i'm looking at everyone i'm going to memorize every single person in here they're like hey i told you you you were in that sermon sorry if you were playing pokemon go or something while i was going on but look at first kings 11 verse 3 it says and he and he had 700 wives let's talk about solomon princesses 300 concubines and his wives what do they do they turned away his heart for it came to pass when solomon was old that his wives turned away his heart after other gods and his heart was not perfect with the lord his god as was the heart of david his father for solomon went after ashtoreth the goddess of the zydonians and after milkham the abomination of the ammonites and solomon did evil in the sight of the lord and went not fully after the lord as david as did david his father so is that how you want to end up oh so-and-so married this person and you know they turned their heart away from the lord is that what you want your testimony to be at the end of your life oh yeah i married her because she was pretty she pleases me well or oh he's so handsome he pleases me well does he have a job if he's playing video games now he's gonna be playing video games then if he doesn't want to go to work now he's not going to work later i mean obviously people can change i gotta give that a little bit but look if you're whatever you're seeing now is going to be a problem later too and if they don't believe like you now then you're taking a humongous risk of marrying a person that doesn't believe like you now they're not going to believe like you later and then you're trapped you're trapped so let this be a lesson to you you know even solomon as great of a man as he was fell because what he married the wrong women why did the earth get destroyed people married the wrong women but this can go both ways so i mean obviously it's given us examples of men but women can marry the wrong man and then it's going to be the destruction of your life and while you're dragging all the kids to church because they don't want to go so it is a big deal you should marry somebody of your own kind and what i mean by that is if you're saved you should marry someone that's saved and if you've already been married and they're pleased to stay with you then stay with them all right so number two there was great wickedness and only evil imaginations in the days of noah there why you know why why was it what was it like in the days of noah well there was great wickedness and only evil imaginations this sin of inner marriage of interfaith marriage led to other things verse five in genesis 6 verse 5 in genesis 6 it says and god saw the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually so that's pretty bad isn't it so i don't think we're quite there in this world yet but look our world is getting worse there's more people that are antagonistic to us at the doors people will yell things at us from their car windows people will you know come and and and and go against our church like we had a protest a couple years ago i mean it's gotten a lot worse and no and people are not on the side of christianity like they were before because even though you know this wasn't made a christian nation a lot of people will say it was most people went to church though so they had like a semblance of some sort of morals some sort of moral compass that was given to them maybe by you know because if people believe in a workspace salvation they're going to try to to do the works and so that means that they're at least you know making an effort to try to not be so wicked but you know if they're if they're not saved they're they're ultimately going to end up in hell anyway but god saw the wickedness of man was great in the earth and every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually so everybody's wicked here everybody's imagination is is wicked and so look all sin is not equal because when the bible talks about wicked or wickedness it is talking about really wicked things really and when it says that it was great in the earth that means that the wickedness was above just like the average sin okay it's not just you know someone stole a pencil at work or whatever from the from the office closet or you know we're talking about great wickedness here let's look at let's look at a few verses genesis 13 verse 13 genesis 13 13 that's an interesting couple numbers next to each other genesis 13 13 i don't know if the original people that put the verses in uh and i wasn't the geneva bible or something one of these bibles but anyway they probably did this one on purpose genesis 13 13 but the men of sodom were wicked and sinners before the lord exceedingly so it's not just talking about just run-of-the-mill sin because everybody's a sinner but not everybody's a sodomite okay and back then it you know it was very looked down upon of obviously in the world it's been looked down upon the whole world for long periods of time even countries that don't even have god's law or or weren't even you know there might just be a different religion they still think that this is sick so all cultures around the world thought it was sick until like 30 years ago when the united states just started banging the drum of let's just make everybody sodomites but anyway i'm not preaching about that you got to move on but you see how when it says they're wicked sinners before the lord exceedingly it's it's it's not just run-of-the-mill sin it's not just like i lied about cleaning my room and again not all sin is equal people say well all sin is equal are you telling me that sodomy is equal to someone to you stealing a pencil from the from the drawer at the office are you saying that that's equal if someone shoots somebody in the face and kills them and takes away their life at an early age or someone you know lies about cleaning their room i mean are those equal sins they're not equal you know the bible says jesus said you know whoever delivered him to pilot had the greater damnation so that means that there are greater sins there is a greater damnation some you know the little old lady that just wouldn't get saved you know and just just you know but she was pretty decent as far as human standards go she's still going to go to hell for not believing but she's not going to go to the lowest hell like the antichrist or like the devil or like you know adolf hitler or whatever these you know these realists joseph stalin paul pot all these really evil people that just or or all these false prophets that just you know they're taking people to hell with them doing the devil's will so there is a difference between being great having great wickedness having exceeding wickedness and then uh you know being just run-of-the-mill sinners or whatever so joseph also here's another one so adultery would be a really wicked sin the genesis 39.9 says there's none greater this is joseph this his pot of his wife keeps coming at joseph and trying to get him to commit adultery and then joseph says some really great words here some of the greatest words in the bible here there is none greater in the house this house than i neither hath he kept back anything from me but thee because thou art his wife how then can i do this great wickedness and sin against god so joseph understood that it was a great wickedness you see the different there is a difference between great wickedness and and just like i said run-of-the-mill sin and all sin is bad okay i'm not saying it's not but i'm just saying there is degrees of sinfulness you know the bible says do not prostitute thy daughter to cause her to be a whore lest the land fall into whoredoms and the land become full of wickedness see there's things that can just break loose in a culture that can totally condemn that culture you know idolatry is another thing worshiping false gods look at india look at india look at china look at north korea look at some of these even the scandinavian countries how they've turned their face away from god and now they're trying to get back into their nordic religions and you know paganism and all this other stuff so and look at first john 5 19. first john 5 19. first john 5 19. the bible says in first john 5 19 and we know that we are of god and the whole world lieth in wickedness so that whole world is wicked but there are things that are exceeding wicked and god saw because of chain react this chain reaction happens in the bible and then it just starts with interfaith marriage and then becomes the whole world is lying to wickedness and the imagination of their hearts is on the evil continually so and we gotta we gotta be on guard for this guys and and ladies and everybody in this room because you know on our on our cover of the of our bible verse of the week is jeremiah 17 night says the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked we were out soloing last sunday i think and there was a the first door we walked to they just before we could even knock on the door they're harassing us and talking smack and it did make me mad i just said wow you're really nice because they said get out of here we're sick or whatever but like then we went to another door and they were kind of similar such nope you know just as we walked up no no and on their porch it had like follow your heart and and you know something you know some kind of really sweet sane but they were following their heart what did their heart say they hate christians get out of here you know but it said follow your heart and like something like all your dreams will come true or something like that that's what the world teaches though that if you listen to your heart you follow your heart there's all kinds of songs about it you know there's a song called listen to your heart no don't listen to your heart don't don't don't believe what your heart is telling you when it's telling you to do something wrong you need to go the opposite direction of what your heart is trying to tell you and there's a lot of verses about that but i don't have time to get into all that but the bible says trust in the lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding in all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths those are some great verses you know if we trust with the lord with all our heart and then we don't lean on our own understanding why is this happening don't lean on your own understanding why does god say that this is going to happen don't lean on your own understanding acknowledge him in your ways and it says he shall direct thy paths you want your paths directed you want to walk in a way where god's going to be watching out for you and looking out for you and making sure you're not getting in trouble why don't you start acknowledging him why don't you start acknowledging him and leaning on his understanding instead of your own understanding and then your life is going to turn out a lot better genesis 6 6 says if you can go ahead and go back there genesis 6 6 says and it repented the lord that he had made man on the earth and grieved him at his heart see god's got a good heart but the man's heart had become desperately wicked and full of evil imaginations and it says and the lord said i'll destroy man whom i have created off the face of the earth both man and beast and the creeping thing and the fowls of the air for it repenteth me that i have made them god said you know what i was happy to make them but you know what i've changed my mind see you notice it says that god repents right here see people will say that repentance means that you're turning away from your sins did god have sins that he had to repent of right there so why why don't you just quit thinking like some stupid theologian that doesn't know what he's talking about even if it's a dictionary definition and it says it means to turn from sin what does the bible say does god have sin well then god when he repents that's not what it means doesn't mean he's turning from sin he's changed his mind that's what it actually means it means to change your mind it can mean to turn from something so but god's not turning from something he's changing his mind about what he you know he's like i i've changed my mind i want to destroy these guys instead of creating them i want them to be destroyed and but it says but noah found grace in the eyes of the lord isn't it great that god still has grace for the people that that want it even in a wicked world that noah lived in noah found grace in the eyes of the lord god was going to destroy everybody but god saw that one man and he was like i'm saving them i'm going to make sure that they they get they get rescued and so he tells him to build the ark he builds the ark saves his family and they repopulate the earth later on but all the wicked people what happened to them they got judged they got destroyed but so let's apply this to modern day obviously we're not to the point where every thought of every person is only evil continually and um and also we're not to the point where um where everybody is just sending all these great wicked sins but we're getting there so we're on the way to this happening already we're on the way to having a world that's like the days of noah where people only do evil continually and have wicked imaginations in their heart look at second peter chapter two second peter chapter two but again just like last week i kind of made the point that you know why didn't say in the days of abraham because abraham you know it wasn't a picture of something that was bad going on it wanted us to focus on lot but here it does want us to focus on noah and the bible has some great things to say about noah even though he did make some mistakes but it says in verse five and spared not the old world talking about the world before the flood but saved noah the eighth person a preacher of righteousness bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly so noah was saved and he was a preacher of righteousness so just like in the end times there's not going to be a lot there's going to be a great falling away and there's not going to be a lot of you know bona fide saved people preaching what's right and true so how you know so there's just another picture of how the spiritual condition will be in the days when the son of man comes okay look what it says in verse six i think it's really interesting that you know that peter ties these two characters together just like jesus ties the two characters together look what it says in verse six and turning the cities of sodom and gomorrah into ashes condemn them with an overthrow making in them and then sample unto those that should that or those that after should live ungodly so isn't it funny that he's he brings up the two situations that jesus talks about that it's going to be like in the days of the son of man i don't think that's on accident look at verse 7 and delivered just lot vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked so he spared noah he spared lot what did jesus say as it is going to be as it was in the days of lot so shall it be in the days of the son of man as it is in the days of noah so shall it also be the days of the son of man and so it says for that righteous man dwelling among them and seeing and hearing vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds the lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished so they're not people aren't getting away with what they're doing folks they're not getting away with it god's going to make sure that he circles the wagons he's going to make sure that the chickens come home to roost so to speak but they're going to be giant birds of prey not chickens okay so now the last point i'll make this quick okay the last point is the earth was filled with violence and corrupt the earth was filled with violence and corrupt in the days of noah and so what should we expect in the days when the son of man comes that the earth is going to be filled with violence and corrupt i already said that christians are going to be hunted at this time christians are going to be hunted before jesus comes back so that sounds to me like it's filled with violence and also corrupt what else do they have people that want to live in this world are going to have to take the mark of the beast or else they can't buy sell work anything else they cannot be a part of the world system unless they worship the devil unless they take that mark and so what's going to be what is it going to be like when jesus comes back it's going to be corrupt and filled with violence and we already see the trend heading in that direction look crime is up you can't flick on a news article you can't go a day without watching like fox 12 on youtube i just watch little clips on youtube sometimes there people are stealing people's catalytic converters like crazy and and what are the police going to do nothing there's been in our lives the cops will come for stuff like that they won't even they won't even answer the phone now they're you know they've dialed back all the police stuff because of the black the and take their money they're doing the smash and grabs at the jewelry stores and the police are doing nothing to stop them you know so look and and they're being threatened with their jobs i brought this up before but district attorneys have so much power in their cities and like when all those riots were going on in portland they basically told the police to stand down they did not just in portland but all over the all over the place all these other cities and actually the politicians were literally getting up and saying well you guys need to take to the streets and violence needs to happen there's multiple clips about that there's multiple news stories about that they are telling people to go out and riot and that you can do it without getting in trouble for it that is wicked that is you know what it is it's corrupt it's corrupt so when our government's corrupt you know our attorney our district attorneys are corrupt all the politicians are corrupt all the citizens start to be corrupt the teachers become corrupt you know the police become corrupt lawyers are corrupt judges are corrupt hospitals are corrupt health care is corrupt doctors are corrupt nurses are corrupt the military is corrupt the churches are corrupt and the corrupt church members too this whole society is becoming corrupt isn't it you can't even trust a doctor to give you some sound advice anymore army but all services you'll have to i mean so who are you going to turn to then who are the sheep going to turn to at this point nobody you can't trust anybody you can't even trust your own family members your own parents your own children your own relatives your own friends they'll turn against you they'll turn you in and have you killed so trust nobody at this point and obviously this is not going to be the uptick of violence it's going to get like it was in the days of noah that's what i believe romans 831 says what shall we say then to these things if god before us who can be against us were not in the days of noah were they but jesus said it would be like it was in the days of noah so what is what what can we expect well we can expect all the normal things of life to still go on i just don't understand how there's you know these people hunting christians and then people are like oh let's just get married you know i mean it's just people are just acting like it's normal when the false prophets are killed everybody's going to send each other presents like it's christmas the world will be violent and you know they're going to be violent against us and of course other people too the bible says in romans 836 as it is written for thy sake we are killed all the day long we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter and people mock the fact that christians you know they'll say
