(Disclaimer: This transcript is auto-generated and may contain mistakes.) We are in first kings chapter number 10. Let me just clear this up here Look down at your bibles at verse number six It says there and she said to the king it was a true report that I heard in mine own land Of thy acts and of thy wisdom how be it? I believe not the words until I came and mine eyes have seen it and behold the half was not told me thy wisdom and prosperity exceeded the fame which I Heard and the title of the sermon this evening is the half has not been told the half has not been told now Let me just give you an abridged version of solomon's life and how it parallels. Jesus Christ first and foremost Who is solomon? Well, solomon is the son of david. He is the king of israel. This is before Israel had that division between the northern and the southern kingdom and what we see in solomon's life Is the fact that really he was very humble In fact, we see that when he became king, he felt like he couldn't lead god's people with the wisdom that he had already What did he need? He needed god's wisdom And when he was asked by god to for he could basically ask for anything He didn't ask for the life of his enemies. He didn't ask for riches. He didn't ask for honor What did he ask for he asked for wisdom and discernment to be able to rule the people of god to be able to judge? Righteously and the bible tells us that god basically tells him well, hey because you know, you've asked of this thing This is a very pleasing thing, uh in the eyes of god. I'm gonna give you wisdom I'm gonna give you discernment, but i'm also gonna give you riches. I'm gonna give you honor I'm gonna give you peace in your days. And so we know solomon as being one of the wisest men that ever lived He's the one who wrote the book of proverbs He's the one who wrote the book of ecclesiastes and we see him doing great exploits Through those things in fact, you know as a brand new christian That's what I started off reading was the book of proverbs, you know book of proverbs and the book of john And it's a great book to glean a lot of wisdom that solomon gained and obtained from the lord when he asked When he asked him of it now, what are some parallels between solomon and jesus christ? This is just by way of introduction Well, i'm gonna give you some obvious ones then i'm gonna give you some pretty interesting ones as well First and foremost, obviously solomon was a king just as jesus christ is the king of kings lord of lords Solomon was literally the son of david just as they call jesus christ the son of david Solomon was the wisest man that ever lived and jesus christ is the source of all wisdom. Amen solomon Spoke in dark sayings and proverbs just as jesus christ spoke in dark sayings and parables And then go to first kings chapter two if you would first king chapter number two. Here's the interesting one The wicked were removed from uh before solomon in order to establish his kingdom Just as in revelation chapter 19 when jesus christ comes for the third time to establish his millennial reign In order for him to do that the wicked are removed before him. Who are the wicked the jews? You know who are the wicked anybody who's opposing him at that time? He removes them. And in fact, that's why the bible tells us that all israel shall be saved Why is that because the wicked are removed from before the king I won't get into jeremiah chapter 6 and how the bible tells us that at that time the nation of israel became a reprobate nation Why because the wicked were not plucked away and in fact, what does solomon tell us in the book of proverbs? He says he says take away the dross from the silver and there shall come forth the vessel for the finer Take away the wicked from before the king and his kingdom shall be established and righteous as the bible says now This that proverb was literally carried out in the life of solomon, okay now When solomon became king his dad basically gave him a hit list You guys remember reading that? He's like, what do you want? What do you want dad? And he's just like I want these dudes dead I'm, not going to do it. I want you to take care of it. Okay And here's the thing if you've read the book for the bible for any length of time and especially the historical books You should wonder why are these people allowed to live? Why is joab? Allowed to just continue to go forward and slay innocent people and just live unrighteously. Well, he wasn't, you know He he ended up understanding his own end at the very end when benaiah came and killed him But look at first king chapter 2 verse 24 says now therefore is the lord liveth Which has established me and set me on the throne of david my father who hath made me in house as he promised adonai Shall be put to death this day now, who is adonijah adonijah is basically solomon's step brother Okay, and when king david was about to die adonijah basically took the initiative And he basically tried to take the throne by force Okay, not because he was chosen not because he was anointed but because he was self-willed And so what he did was he stole the hearts of the people and just put himself out there as being The next king in line. Well, he wasn't the one who's supposed to be chosen for that was solomon And we see that solomon comes he takes over Adonijah steps back and then he's kind of fearful But you know solomon's being merciful to him solomon basically looks for a reason to kill him He says well because you've asked this thing you're gonna get slain Okay And that's why he puts him to death look at verse 25 It says in king solomon sent by the hand of benaiah the son of joita and he fell upon him that he died And to and unto abiathar the priest said the king get thee to anathoth unto thine own fields for thou are worthy of death But I will not at this time put thee to death because thou barest the ark of the lord god before david my father And because thou hast been afflicted and all wherein my father was afflicted now who is abiathar? Well, he was basically helping the hand of adonijah. He was basically supporting him And so solomon goes to him he goes like i'm not going to put you to death But you need to obey what I would tell you to do if not, you're going to get it verse 27 So solomon thrust abiathar from being priests unto the lord that he might fulfill the word of the lord Which he spake and turned in the house of eli and shiloh then tidings came to joab For joab had turned after adonijah. In other words, he was supporting him. Okay Though he turned not after absalom and joab fled into the tabernacle of the lord and caught hold of the horns of the altar And it was told king solomon that joab was fled into the tabernacle of the lord and behold. He is by the altar Then solomon sent benaiah the son of joita saying go fall upon him Now when the bible says fall upon him, in other words go kill him. That's what he's saying Okay, allow your sword to fall upon him and remember this is a commission that david gave to him David knew how wicked joab was he knew of all his conspiracies and all these things that he was involved in He wanted his blood to be upon him as well. That's why he sent benaiah to go kill him verse 30 He says and benaiah came to the tabernacle of the lord and sentenced him. Thus saith the king come forth And he said nay, but I will die here But I brought the king word again saying thus said joab and thus he answered me I like I like the answer that solomon says right here and the king said to him do as he yet said Fall upon him and bury him that thou may take away the innocent blood which joab shed from me And from the house of my father. He's like, well if that's what he wants The location doesn't matter Just get it done is what he's saying First look at verse 34 So benaiah the son of joita went up and fell upon him and slew him and he was buried in his own house In the wilderness, so I mean there goes, you know the his step brother There goes joab. Well, there's still one more guy that needs to be taken care of and that's shimmy I of course shimmy. I was the guy who cursed david threw rocks at him, you know, just railed on him and David was humble and he was just like leave this guy alone Maybe the lord bade him to do those things But then later on at the end of his life, he's like you guys remember you remember what he did to me, you know Make sure you slay him too. Look at verse 44 The king said moreover to shimmy I thou knowest all the wickedness which thine heart is privy to do privy to that thou didst to my To my dave and my father therefore the lord shall return thy wickedness upon thine own head And king solomon shall be blessed and the throne of david shall be established before the lord forever So the king commanded benaiah the son of joita Which went out and fell upon him that he died and look what it says and the kingdom was established in the hand of solomon So it wasn't until all these wicked people were removed from the kingdom that they could finally say All right, now the kingdom can be established and this is picturesque of jesus christ and his millennial reign This is what he's going to do when he comes back Why is it that the bible says that you know when the times of the gentiles are fulfilled? So all israel shall be saved. What is it referring to? It's referring to the fact that at the end of 42 months the jews shall be taken away Unsaved unbelieving israel shall be removed and now now the millennial ring can start Okay, because blindness in part has to happen unto israel until the fullness of the gentiles be come in Okay That's a sermon for another day. So We see that he shares that similarity in that parallel with jesus christ. Okay But another thing is this is that people came from far and wide To hear the wisdom of solomon Okay, go to mark chapter number one if you would mark chapter number one Mark chapter number one So we see him taking away his brother because his brother asked for abishag we see him take away Uh joab because joab was a wicked person same thing with shimei We see him with that or that relation that he has there with jesus christ that he's establishing the kingdom And he's doing it by removing the wicked And then we also see that people came from far and wide to hear the wisdom of solomon just as people came far and wide To hear jesus christ look at mark one thirty forty three It says and he straightly charged him and forward sent him away and saith unto him see thou say nothing to any man But go thy way show thyself to the priests and offer for the cleansing those things which moses commanded for a testimony unto them But he went out and began to publish it much and to blaze abroad the matter Insomuch that jesus could no more openly enter into the city but was without in desert places and they came to him from every quarter So one thing we see with jesus christ is that he came into his own his own received him not but you know Who was really open to jesus christ and hearing him were the common people and the gentiles? The people who were not of the nation of israel were willing to come far and wide to come hear him You know of the roman centurion who jesus christ said of him. I have not found so great faith. No, not in israel I mean this roman centurion has more faith than the people from which salvation should come from right? Yeah People from every quarter came to hear jesus christ Just as people from the ends of the ends of the world came to hear the wisdom of solomon Now one of those people who came to solomon was queen shiba the queen of shiba Excuse me, the queen of the south go to matthew chapter 12 And this is where we got that passage of scripture from in first kings chapter number 10 And we're going to make some application to that look at matthew chapter 12 And the reason the queen of the south is so significant is because of the fact that jesus christ actually mentions her In matthew 12 and luke chapter number 11 look at matthew 12 verse 39 But he answered and said unto them an evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign And there shall no sign be given to it But the sign of the prophet jonas for as jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly So shall the son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth The men of ninova shall rise in judgment with this generation And shall condemn him because they repented at the preaching of jonas and behold a greater than jonas is here The queen of the south this is referring to the queen of shiba Shall rise up in the judgment with this generation And shall condemn it for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of solomon and behold A greater than solomon is here. What is he saying? He's saying look this woman had enough faith To travel the ends of the world To come here solomon and you know what i'm better than solomon You know, that's why when in the resurrection man, she's going to be judging she's going to be condemning these countries You know, she's going to be condemning israel She's going to be condemning the jews Why because she came from the uttermost parts of the world with the little information that she had about solomon to hear his wisdom And here is a greater than solomon and the people who are there Weren't even willing to listen to him go to matthew chapter 13 if you would this is significant She was willing to step out in faith with the little information that she had about solomon to meet him and the parallel there Is that you know? These non-israelites esteem jesus christ more so than even the jews. Yeah Okay Look at matthew 13 in verse 55 Is not this the carpenter's son? It's not his mother called mary and his brother brethren james and joseph and simon and judas and his sisters Are they not all with us? Once then hath this man all these things? Verse 57 and they were offended in him But jesus said unto him a prophet is not without honor save in his own country and in his own house Hey, don't feel bad when your family rejects you for being a christian Don't feel reject. Don't feel bad Don't don't get offended when the closest to you don't even esteem you as being a man of god Don't even esteem you as being a person who loves the lord. They don't take you serious. They kind of just mock you Hey, they did it to jesus Why because the bible tells us that a prophet is not without honor, you know People will honor you in other places people who are your brethren and sisters in christ They'll often honor you but those of your own household will often mock you and ridicule you and won't even take you serious Well, jesus christ went through the same thing Okay, so we see there that her faith the little faith that she had or what faith she had She was willing to cross a a vast portion of land just to hear the wisdom of solomon and he's making that parallel Go to roman chapter number four if you would roman chapter number four And what did she say when she got there wow the half was not told The little information she had she used that to get to solomon and when she got there and she saw the wisdom the riches And everything of the house of god. She says the half was not even told But you know what? She wouldn't have seen that if she wouldn't have stepped out with the little information that she had Okay Faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen and what's the sermon this evening? It's simply this hey in the christian life The half has not been told yet You know you hear about the blessings that you get when you obey god and you're like man, that sounds great Well, you know what the half is not yet told The half has not been told, you know, once you hear the word of god Yeah, it's a blessing to hear good preaching, but it's even better to obey good preaching. Amen You know to read the word of god is delicious, but you know, it's even better to put it into practice Why because the half is not yet been told You don't even know the blessings you can get when you actually obey god's word You do the will of god you serve god the half has not been told look at romans 4 verse 18 says Who against hope speaking of abraham believed in hope that he might become the father of many nations according to that which was spoken So shall thy seed be hey abraham God, god promised him a son But you know the half was not yet told He wasn't even going to see the millions and millions of people that are going to be saved Because of him right to become his spiritual children so to speak It says and being not weak in faith He considered not his own body now dead When he was about 100 years old neither yet the deadness of sarah's womb He staggered not at the promises of god through unbelief but was strong in faith giving glory to god And being fully persuaded that what he had promised he was able also to perform you see When it comes to the things of god god only gives us sometimes just a little bit of information Why because we need faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of god? And often, you know when we start living for god we start serving god We don't necessarily know what the outcome is going to be, right? Why because of the fact that you know, we need to step out in faith We need to take risks We just need to obey god and trust him with the outcome But you know, we can know for sure the half has not been told Why is that because god short changes no man The blessing of the lord and maketh rich and he addeth no sorrow to it the bible says The half is not yet told go to ephesians chapter number three if you would Ephesians chapter number three and look just like with the queen of sheba You know what? She's basically saying about solomon you exceeded my expectations She came with a train and with all these riches and she came to hear the wisdom of solomon The half was not told there was no more spirit in her the bible says she was just speechless in other words You know, he exceeded the expectations how much more jesus christ And the things of god he exceeds our expectations And in fact look at ephesians 3 verse 17 that christ may dwell in your hearts by faith That ye being rooted and grounded in love may be able to comprehend with all saints What is that breath and length and depth and height and to know the love of christ, which what passeth knowledge? That you might be filled with all the fullness of god Now unto him that is able to do Exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us. What is he saying? The half is not yet been told You know, you think you experienced the love of god when you first got saved Hey The half has not been told I hath not seen nor ear of hurt Neither have entered into the heart of men the things that god has prepared to them that love him You know, but we have seen it why because we have the spirit of god You know when you first get saved it's just like man this is exciting this is great man it gets better It gets better You say how much better can this get? This is salvation. Yeah now you get the word for god Now you not only get everlasting life you actually get to get paid for the things you do here for the lord And he's a generous boss. Amen. He's a generous lord He's willing to recompense you that which you're laboring for here in this world Would you say what in the world is that true? Yeah, because the half is not yet been told yet You don't even know the half of it of how good god is Okay You know the bible says be careful for nothing but in all things by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving Let your requests be made known unto god and the peace of god that passeth understanding Shall keep your hearts and minds through jesus christ our lord He said man, I hear that we have to pray when we're when we're going through a hard time You know, I I get that and I just don't see how it's gonna work the half is not yet been told The fact that you would pray and ask god for his blessing ask god for his protection his provision You'd be you'd be surprised what god can do Because the half is not told, you know, and it's good that the half is not told because then it wouldn't require faith If he told you well, you know, this is what you're gonna get Then it doesn't require any faith. It requires faith when we only have a little bit of information to go off of You know But hey, we can rest assured that he does exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or think But it requires faith for us to believe that obviously go to john chapter number, uh, two if you would John chapter number two the half has not been told You know, she comes there and she sees Uh the ascent that they have when they go into the house of god they see she sees that the servants are happy She sees all like the people just godly and they're just worshiping god and she's just like whoa Man, I heard I heard it was good, but I didn't know it was this good You ever go you ever go to a restaurant? You know fogo de chao, okay You know mark was just telling me like hey, you're right about that place He went there this afternoon. He was inspired And the half is not yet told Yeah You know you hear about a good restaurant. You're like people are like, yeah, it's really good and then you go there like wow That was better than I look at bro police. He's bitter right now. Hey Lest any bitterness spring enough trouble your brother may be defiled, right? You ever I mean have you ever been to a restaurant like that it's just like man this is actually better than I thought You said no i've only been to restaurants where it was worse than people were saying, right? The worst has not been told okay Look at john chapter number two if you would let me turn to myself actually Look at john chapter number two and verse number one It says the third and the third day there was a marriage in cana of galilee The mother of jesus was there and both jesus was called and his disciples to the marriage And when they wanted wine the mother of jesus saith unto him they have no wine jesus saith unto her woman What am I to do with thee mine hour has not yet come His mother saith unto his servants whatsoever he saith unto you do it and there were set there six water pots of stone after the manner Of the purifying of the jews containing two or three firkins apiece Jesus saith unto him fill the water pots with water and they filled them up to the brim And he saith unto them draw out now and bear into the governor of the feast and they bear it When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine and knew not whence it was But the servants which drew the water knew the governor nor of the feast called the bridegroom Excuse me The governor of the feast called the bridegroom and saith unto him every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine And when men have well drunk then that which is worse, but that was kept a good wine until now What is he telling them the best is yet to come? You think you're having some good wine now? Well wait till jesus comes and he gives you better wine Okay, what he's saying is like when you're at a party, you know, they they have the sparkling cider Right and then once their sparkling cider starts running now, then they bring the coke out And then they start bringing in the squirt And then it's and then it's shasta And then it's some lame off-brand, dr. Pepper or whatever Dr. What dr. K some cheap soda because it's like You know the the more you go into the night the worse that the the drinks get the quality gets right? Well, he saved the best for last Okay is what he's saying And this is a principle for us to remember that hey in the christian life These don't get worse they get better It's always getting pretty bad for me now. Well, you know, maybe you're being disobedient to god's work You ever thought you ever think about that or how about maybe you're just going through a season? You know, maybe god is just trying to mature you Maybe he's trying to add to your faith virtue Maybe he's trying to mold you into something and you're not learning and that's why you're staying in that season Because the bible tells us it shows us throughout the word of god that the best is yet to come sweeter as the years go by amen I just keep falling in love with him over and over and over and over again I keep falling in love with them over and over and over and over again He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by Oh what a love between my lord and I I just keep falling in love with him over and over and over and over again Again, I don't feel that way. Well, you know what you need to grow You need to grow, you know, we need to make sure that we keep that first love a man It should get sweeter as the days go by You know even in marriage, you know, obviously the love between your your wife you and your wife. It changes it evolves You don't have that same puppy love but you know what it matures is what it is And that's exactly how it ought to be with us in the Lord because the best is always yet to come Why because we learn more we step out in faith more we obey more and we See the blessings that come because of that. Okay The best is yet to come and the half has not yet been told now Go back to first Kings chapter number 10. If you would first Kings chapter number 10 And look she came the Queen came look what it says in verse number 1 it says when the Queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the Lord She came to prove him with hard questions You know what this shows us is that Solomon had the answers and what does this tell us about Jesus? Jesus has all the answers The Word of God has all the answers and we obviously we don't come to God proving him with hard questions But we have hard questions for ourselves and he's the source of the answers. Okay, we see that there We see that she doesn't hold anything back She brings an entire train of all these goods and resources to bring to him She steps out in faith based upon the words that she heard and verse 7 will read it again It says how be it I believe not the words until I came And mine eyes have seen it and behold the half was not told me thy wisdom and prosperity exceeded the fame which I heard Happy are thy men Happy are these thy servants which stand continually before thee and that hear thy wisdom by the way This is how people should feel when they come to our church Amen Where they hear about us and they hear about us and like wow they get here and like the half was not yet told You know or the half that I did hear they're lying about The people say those people are so wicked and hateful their heretics out there, you know that brother me Yeah, he's he's he's a church splitter and all these things and they come here and they're like man. That's not true, you know This is a great church How can we make sure it's a great church happy are thy men it says put a smile on your face Grin or something Twitch your lip or something I'm just kidding. What I'm saying is look. Hey that makes an impression on people You know, don't be so stoic and so just mature and just you know, you just I'm here for the Word of God, you know You know and it's just everything is just sober I'm all for being sober the Bible tells us to be sober But you know, I'm Mary Hart. That's good. Like a medicine You know and we come to church to hear God's Word we come for the fellowship and we come to laugh Amen come to have a merry heart There's nothing wrong with that because why when people come they see that hey you can be happy without drinking alcohol You can be happy without fornicating you can be happy without Kanye West with the stupid little cult meetings on Sunday where they're just You don't have to do that here You don't need a one-hour sumba class here to be happy You could be happy because of the fact that you're here here in God's Word. Your spirit is resonating with the Word of God You're being fed the Bible. You're getting good fellowship in Be happy. Amen Happy are thy men Happy are these thy servants. Hey when you're serving the Lord do it with gladness You're sweeping if you're if you're cleaning something for throwing out the trash if you're sowing do it with some joy No, we're gonna go so any bless God and we've got to do what we got to do, man You know, we're not here to have fun. Go do your own little soul winning somewhere else then I don't we don't want that kind of testimony Okay, we want because look there's so owners they are up and coming and you know what you're the examples and If they see that you're some grouch miser Who just like is miserable going out sowing. They're like, I don't want to be I'm already happy I don't want to become miserable like this person You know I'm saying so you got to make sure hey happy are thy men happy are thy servants which stand Continually before thee and that here thy wisdom verse number eight. Where are we out here? I want to keep reading Says blessed be the Lord thy God which delighteth in need to set thee on the throne of Israel because the Lord loved Israel forever therefore made he the king to do judgment and justice Look what it says in verse number five It says in our verse four Excuse me And when the Queen of Sheba had seen all of Solomon's wisdom and the house that he had built and the meat at his table Yeah, we got that covered I was gonna preach in that but here we have that amen The meat at his table and the sitting of his servants no slouching Sitting over servant. I'm kidding about that that went over like a screen door in a submarine. Okay, and the attendance of his ministers What does that mean paying attention? Amen? Be swift to hear slow to speak ready to hear the Word of God, you know, not like Like You look like a heroin addict You look like you're recovering from heroin or opium or something Go take a nap go drink a cup go do something give attendance amen to reading to exhortation to doctrine Okay, he says the attendance of his ministers and their apparel Wow You know what that means dressing like a Christian amen and look, here's the thing You don't have a suit shirt and tie doesn't mean you're not right with God, but you should wear your Sunday's best to church If that means you're if your Sunday's best is your Dickie's with a button-up shirt and your brand-new Cortez then bring it on down That's what you got to do. Well, you know if you have something better than that, that's what you should bring to church This is God's house. Amen. Why not? and The attendance of his ministers in their apparel and his cup bearers and His ascent by which he went on to the house of the Lord. There was no more spirit What's the ascent is just like the singing is powerful The the the hymns are powerful. They they come in here and they're like man these people actually believe what they're singing It's powerful, you know, we want to make sure that we have this testimony So that when people come in like wow the half is not even so this is a great place Okay, and we're not a perfect church, but we need to constantly work on this amen So we want people to feel like that when they come, you know Whether they hear the bad and look if they say well, I heard your you preach on hate and stuff Yeah, the half is not you've been told buddy. I Heard you don't like gay people. Yeah the half 75% has not been told I Heard you use the word faggot when you preach a hundred percent has not yet been told Okay Want to confirm that? You know But at the same time, you know to say I heard the Sony is great, but you know, I heard your people are jerks You know, we don't want people to think that of us. Okay Preaching is hard. But you know, it's just it's not what I'm looking for You know, I just feel like I'm not getting along with the brothers and sisters in Christ They're not very kind and friendly and look if they get offended at the preaching let them get offended at the preaching But don't let them get offended at you just because you're not kind to them Okay Now go to Romans chapter number seven if you would Romans chapter number seven The half has not been told so let me give you a couple points here in regards to this principle of Of The half not being told okay, you know when it comes to sin the half has not been told yet Okay, and sometimes people play with sin they get involved in sin and it's just like they only know half of it But they don't even know the other half of what sin can do to your life You know and we need to always make sure that we confirm that that we proclaim that that we declare that that we make sin look Exceeding sinful look at Romans 7 verse 13 was then that which is good made death unto me God forbid but sin that it might appear sin working death in me by that which is good that sin by the commandment might become Exceeding sinful look the commandments make sin look exceeding sinful and we ought to do the same We live in a society that Desensitizes sin we live in a society that accepts it that propagates it and you know It doesn't help to have these watered-down limp-wristed churches Sissified churches that also glaze over it Where it's just like oh, you know they when they talk about preaching on sin. They're they're just kind of like glazing over it They don't they circumvent it and they're preaching they don't like talking about it And this is the reason why people get involved in sin Okay, but we need to tell people hey sin is exceeding sinful and let me be specific of what sins I'm talking about Let me tell you not only the specific sin, but what is the repercussion of that sin? Okay, the Bible tells us in James 1 14 But every man is tempted when he's drawn away of his own lust and enticed Then when lust hath conceived it bringeth forth sin and sin when it is finished bringeth forth death Hey fornication is bad, but you know what the half is now you've been told What it does the guilt that comes to you because of it. Okay. How about the STDs? What is that sexually transmitted disease? That's the other half you don't hear about The half is not told when it comes to fornication when it comes to living in a moral wicked lifestyle. How about getting AIDS? From some tramp or some dude who didn't tell you he has full-blown AIDS And your life is destroyed after that. Okay. How about having bastard children? right Having bastard children when you fornicate. Yeah, the half has not been told now, huh? Well, I knew fornication was bad Well, you know what the half has not been told Okay, you could potentially have a bastard children you can you know, if you fornicate with someone who's not a Christian I mean, it's just over complicates things in the line in your Christian life. The half is not yet told. Okay You know you think alcohol is bad. Yeah, that's simple, but the half is not even told. How about cirrhosis of the liver? How about alcohol poison? Hey, how about this? How about rape? Right the half is not yet told and look we need not only to talk about how wicked These acts are and these sinful things are we need to talk about the repercussions of it. So people know the other half right Scare the fire out of the young people in our church Scare the fire out of anybody who would even think about committing such a thing Hey kids, if you grow up and you fornicate you might have a sexually transmitted disease that'll ruin your life for the rest of your life You might get AIDS you die young ruin your life That'll be you if you want to fornicate That'll be you if you want to commit adultery Why cuz that's that that's the other half that no one ever tells you about Okay, you know you want to drink alcohol and smoke weed. I want to smoke a little bit of weed Well, you know what be stupid for the rest of your life because that's the other half Be an idiot your entire life if that's what you're gonna do. Okay, how about molestation? Right when people drink alcohol people get raped they get molested all but they don't show you that on the billboards They show you this dude with an eight-pack You know, by the way, it's photoshopped He's got an eight-pack Smiling having a good time drinking a Bud Light, but they don't show you the aftermath They don't show you the vomiting they don't show you the rape and the molestation that takes place people get sodomized It happens. That's the other half The half is not yet told like oh man. This is uncomfortable. Yeah. Well, you know what? This is what we got to do This is what we got to talk about to give you the other half of the repercussions of sin You know, you want to keep drinking beer then guess what guys you'll become a woman Exactly Raise up that estrogen make you look like a woman What do you mean by that? You will have the physical features of a woman You will have the chest of a woman You know and look I know people who are alcoholics I know people who drink alcohol and you know their life is just destroyed just eyes are just constantly bloodshot They're getting yellow They got this this thing called a beer belly Where they can't even tie their own shoes It's true Destroying their liver Say something funny pastor you made it so awkward. Hey the half is not yet been told that's why Okay, you know when we talk about sin We need to be specific and we need to talk about the repercussions of that sin and what it'll do to you Okay, you know hey, you know there's sins that you commit in this church and you're getting the boot You know, hey look that this is the first half I just gave you the first half the second half is that you get the nine and a half shoe Up your rear end and outside the church And you're giving over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh That's what happens Okay, if you get involved in certain things, you know The Bible talks about in 1st Corinthians chapter number 5 go to 1st Peter chapter 2 1st Peter chapter 2 That half is not yet been told but you know what what the first half that you do have step out in faith and don't do it right Take the little information that you do have Like the Queen of Sheba did and just have faith that yeah, the Bible's right about that You know and look I don't believe everyone who fornicates who's a Christian will just be destroyed on the spot Like God is just gonna strike them down. They're just gonna die, but you know what? Don't take that risk. I Don't know what I don't know what the ratio is If God kills like one in every hundred or one in every thousand or something, but you might be that one Okay All right, that's we got the negative side out of the way. All right, let's get into some Exhortation here. All right, I was exhortation though 1st Peter chapter 2 so the half has not been told Hey the you know when we talk about the delight the lighting in God's Word The delight that God's Word brings to our lives, you know, the half has not been told I'll get up here and I'll talk about this and you might just glaze over it and be like, yeah I know you know, the Bible's good and stuff like that. Yeah, but the half has not been told It's not actually until you get into the Word of God You're reading from cover to cover you spend time in the Bible on a daily basis You will see what we're talking about. Okay. Look at the Bible says in 1st Peter chapter 2 Verse number one It says wherefore laying aside all malice and all guile and hypocrisies and envies and all evil speakings as newborn Babes desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow there by if so be you have tasted that the Lord is gracious You know what you come to find out when you know your taste buds your spiritual taste buds come to find out when you read The Bible and the Lord is gracious This is great He said well, I gotta get all my doctrine from YouTube If I if I needed to help on some doctrine, I just type it in on YouTube No, why don't you type it in your Bible? Why don't you learn it from God's Word first Did you know you can learn the Bible on your own? I know that's a profound statement, but you have someone in you that's known as the Holy Ghost Who leads you into all truths? You can learn the Bible on your own and thank God for YouTube. I'm not downplaying YouTube I'm this term is gonna be on YouTube a man But what I'm saying is this is that hey your number one go-to should always be the Bible Your number one go-to should be opened down my eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law Right for the Holy Ghost to teach you things out of the Word of God because the half is not yet been told Well, I just don't think I could just understand it just by myself Well, you know what? You'll never know until you actually try it. Okay, read the Bible Well, you know I get inspired in the New Testament. I just have a hard time in Leviticus I have a hard time in the historical books. Yeah, but you know, the half is not even told. How do you know that? If you haven't actually jumped into and actually read it through, you know, you've got to do it the Bible says in Psalm 1 but his delight is in the law of the Lord and in his law doth he meditate day and night he shall be Like the tree planted by the rivers of water that bringing forth his fruit in his season. That is the other half You know a lot of times people think well, I just got to read the Bible because that's just what we're supposed to do Yeah, but the half is not yet been told You don't know the richness of his goodness and the knowledge that he can impart it to you when you actually start reading the Word Of God making you fruitful and in the Christian Christian life. Look at Psalm 19 if you would go to Psalm 19 and look That's the first half is reading it to benefit yourself. You know, what the other half is reading it to benefit someone else You Know become so knowledgeable in the Bible that you're actually able to be a blessing To someone else. Well, I just sent him a Charles Spurgeon quote You better not be doing that. I Just sent him the the devotion of the day or something, you know Why don't you send them your devotion of the day? You know you read the Word of God to the point where you could actually benefit someone else and Look this needs to be the goal for every Christian in our church Then we read the Word of God to eat to sustain ourselves to grow but we're also eating to benefit someone else Well, I'm not the pastor. I'm not preaching, you know, I'm not behind the pulpit. So I don't have to do that have wrong wrong bad attitude Because everyone in our church has influence over one per at least one person in our church If you're a father you have influence over your family Or at least you are at least I hope you do Okay, you should have influence over your wife You should have influence over your children, but look even in that even in that case if you're not married Well, you know, you still have influence over someone someone looks up to you here Okay, and if you're gonna be a godly influence on that person, you better be reading the Word of God Why because what goes in Always comes out Well, you're putting into your body spiritually speaking is gonna come out of your mouth You know who people want to talk to you? They want to talk to people who are actually growing in their faith who have something to say they're learning they're gaining knowledge Like no one talks to me in this church well You know, is there a reason for that do you have something to say, you know Or you could just go out of your way and go talk to someone as well But what I'm saying is this is that we need to make sure that we're taking in the Word of God so we can give It out as well. Okay. Look at Psalm 19 verse 7 The law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul The testimony of the Lord is sure making wise the simple the statutes of the Lord are right Rejoicing the heart the commandment of the Lord is pure and lining the eyes The fear of the Lord is clean and during forever The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether more to be desired today than gold yet and much fine gold sweeter also than the honey in the honeycomb Moreover by them is thy servant worn and in keeping of them There is great reward who can understand his errors cleansed down me from secret faults, you know We got to get to a point where we're actually able to lead people not just to Christ but lead them in the way of righteousness We want to help be people be righteous to clean up their lives right and look Things listen to this things are often caught than taught Just remember that Things are rather cop than top. What am I saying, you know? people will often Look at what you're doing Before they actually obey what you tell them to do understand so People will look at your example. They'll look at your life They'll look at your level of godliness and that's what they will try to imitate Understand things are rather caught than taught and look this is in its truest form when it comes to a family Your children are a reflection of who you are So that either you're like cool right on or you're like, oh man That's not good. You know, I got to change my ways But at the end of the day, that's what we got to realize And if you want to be the right type of father the right type of mother the right type of church member You need to make sure you get it into the Bible You got to make sure that you're growing in your knowledge of the Word of God. Oh You know, I hear about all that but I just don't know look the half has not been told of how God can use you Okay Go to 1st Thessalonians chapter 2 if you would hey, how about the joy of saving the lost? Amen, the half is not told it's not just about seeing people save, you know, Jacob. Hey the half was not told. I Just woke him up This guy we went soul winning that someone saved Ford was it a year a year afterwards. He married her. Amen The half was not told You know, he didn't he didn't maybe he did plan down But I'm what I'm saying is this is that you just never know what comes about from winning some of the Christ Don't take it lightly You know Every soul obviously is important to your winning But you just never know what God might do in that person's life when they get it planted into church They start growing in their faith and you know, they just God begins to use them I think of Damian for example, you know Damian I remember he came What was it like when we first started the church, you know, got him saved never saw him after that Just like see ya But you know, God was working on his heart and man. How long has he been here now? Does anyone do you know how one? Six five months five to six months, you know faithful growing and not just growing as a Christian growing as a man What do you mean by that, you know getting a job? Right, you know making a priority to come to church Taking responsibility You know not behaving like a child Maybe I should switch my sermon here You know just growing up You know the half was not told what God was gonna do in that young man's life Okay, and that's how we got to see it Sometimes when we leave people to Christ is like man the half is not told what God can do in this person's life Okay, don't take it lightly. You just never know what God might do and that person's like well, you know It's just they got saved and they left Yeah But you just never know Because the half is not yet told what can really happen in that person's life look at first Thessalonians 2 19 for what is our? Hope or joy or crown of rejoicing are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming You know, I think of I think of me for example, okay, I know that sounds weird But I think of me like I think of the person who got me saved you know, I came to church and I wanted to get saved and You know, I think of the person who taught me eternal security and look I remember I was at the church and I was trying to understand this thing of eternal security and I had volunteered to go paint The church and I was painting with this guy and I was like, hey, so you can't it's impossible to like lose your salvation He's like, yeah, it's impossible You know and he was just kind of he would even look at me. He was just kind of like painting I was like, how do you know and he says for by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves? It is the gift of God not of works. He looked at me. He's like that's the image of both And he just kept going right and I was literally like George. I was like I was cuz I never heard that before And it just clicked It's like I immediately understood at that point He just gave closure to that and I ran thinking to myself Wow, but you know what? He the half was not told Then one day one day that guy that he taught eternal security to would be a hate preacher, you know You Just never know how people how God might use people there after you know, and don't undermine the potential that people might have After their salvation, you just never know. Okay Go with me if you would to first Corinthians chapter 7 Hey single people out there. I Just heard someone go Yeah Hey the blessing of getting married God's way The half has not been told and look I wouldn't even do Joe I won't do justice to this in any sermon if I took when I talk about marriage because the half is not told Oh, you know, I just I struggle so much. I just well, you know what get married the right way I'm telling you it's gonna be it's gonna be great and I'm not even giving you the half of it What a blessing it is to be in a godly marriage The half is not told the Bible tells us you're in 1st Corinthians 7. I'm gonna reach you from Proverbs 18 22 Who so findeth the wife? Find it the good thing. Amen And obtain the favor of the Lord It's this thing there by the way God's the one who said it and I'm just kidding, you know who so find it the wife Thank you for that one. Amen back there that bold man over there Marriage Is a blessing okay and Don't let don't ever let anybody Undermine and cut marriage make it seem as though it's just miserable. No, they just stopped working on their marriage is what it is Okay, they're the miserable person, you know, they're the ones who stopped growing They're the ones that are not doing something to to make their marriage better Marriage Is a blessing look at 1st Corinthians 7 verse 1 now concerning the things were you wrote unto me It is good for a man not to touch a woman Amen to that Nevertheless to avoid fornication let every man have his own wife and let every woman have her own husband Let the husband render unto the wife do benevolence and likewise also the wife unto the husband the wife hath not power Of her own body, but the husband and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body But the wife defraud you not one one the other Except to be with consent for a time that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer and come together again That Satan tempt you not for your incontinence So look, I mean it goes without saying the physical relationship is that is a blessing in marriage And the reason this is being spoken about right now is because of the fact that teenagers or people who are single Do have a temptation to fornicate? You're like, oh, yeah, I'm just struggling right now this person this this unsafe person is Giving me attention or whatever and I'm talking to this person. I'm just tempted. No do it God's way Do it God's way have some self-control Have some temperance do it the right way because the half has not been told by the way if you so desire and you end up fornicating out there See the first point the half has not been told about that fornication And the destruction that comes from that but you know what the half is not told even of a godly marriage and how what a blessing It is Okay, I can't do justice to it You have to find out for yourself when you get yourself a wife or you get yourself a husband It is a blessing and look the half has not been told when it comes to getting a bad spouse Cuz that happens too You know what? Like my father-in-law used to say, you know, oh she's not she's not God's will she is now She wasn't God's will he used to be like she is now Okay, you know the Bible says it is better to dwell in the corner of a housetop Then with the brawling woman in a wide house What is a wide house like a mansion and the guys like I read and look I've Personally seen this not in my personal life I Have my wife sleep on the couch. Thank you. No, I'm just kidding. I've seen other people I've seen I'm not gonna say who is not anybody here. Okay. It's someone in the city of Montebello where I live and You know, there's a there's a there's a man that I know and he never spends time in his house Even my son knows this I'm not joking. He literally spends the entire day in his car And you know what at first I was like, why does he do that? But you know what after listening I Understand Proceed Carry on He's got a brawling woman You know boisterous brawling nagging This the decibels are always up You know that guy he hates his marriage. I'll just be honest. I can tell he does He that's his that's his that's his corner That's his corner of a housetop. That's his wilderness He'd rather be there You know and look I'm saying this with tongue-in-cheek, but it's it's it is reality for some people So guys choose wisely Amen Ladies like oh, why are you saying that for you know, that's not fair because it's true choose wisely Why cuz once you're married she's God's will now You know, you know you marry her and it's like wow the half was not told The half was not told, you know, and you know what same goes for the guys Hey ladies, you better make sure that you have a godly authority who's guiding you Obviously your dad should be preferably the person to do it You know to guide you to make sure that you're filtering the people that you're dating The guy that you're dating cuz look girls, let's just be honest, sometimes they're naive Can I get an amen? All right. Come on guys, man. Good night Look sometimes they're naive and you know what guys can pull the wool over a girl's, you know Puts his best foot forward actually brushes his teeth combs his hair looks halfway decent. They're like, wow, he's a godly man And then they get married and she's like, whoa He smells Do you believe in showers? No and you know The half is just not told And look when you're dating the half is never told Why would you tell the half? Right It's just reality You know, obviously you're gonna put your best foot forward when you're dating and stuff like that But what I'm saying is, you know You need to use some wisdom and let me just let me just throw this out here by the way Okay, if anybody in our church is divorced we I completely discourage any divorced person First of all, we don't believe divorce people should remarry amen But I discourage any divorced person whether visiting our church attending our church to talk to any girl in our church Any girl well, they're in the same situation as I am any girl If you've been divorced that's a no-no Amen You know and look young ladies out there You need to make sure that you're that you have a godly authority. Look. I'm not that godly authority My godly authority counsel is coming from the pulpit right now. So I'm not gonna be like your your your spiritual father or whatever You know, you know, can you help me? Can I call you dad? No get away from me I got a daughter. She's over there. Her name is Kyle. I gotta take care of her Okay, I'm not your spiritual daddy. I'm not your spiritual father. I'm your pastor and the council you're gonna guess from the pulpit Okay, what you need to do is go go to mom Go to dad or if you don't even have that type of godly counsel, then just listen to me now There you go, okay Don't come to me after the service and ask me a question of something that I already answered when I was behind the pulpit You just listen a man So I know that was a rabbit that I was chasing skinned it killed it made stew but this is important Because look sometimes people get involved in relationships and then you know It's a disaster afterwards because the half was not told you need to make sure that you're choosing Wisely be smart think about the decisions you're gonna make this is gonna be the person you're gonna stay with for the rest of your life Okay, look you got people who dodged shotgun shells man Dodging bullets and shotgun shells they're busting matrix when they're like They break up with a girl or break up with a guy. It's just like man. You're like neo or something You just dodged a bullet Okay Yeah, anyways go with me if you would to first Corinthians chapter 13 First Corinthians chapter 13 Look, it's not bad to want to be in a relationship. And I'm not saying look We will never be a church where it's just like guys should be afraid to talk to the girls and girls should be afraid to Talk to the guys. That's weird It was like are we Amish or something, you know? You can't talk cuz then people might think you might think what like you're you're talking they might think you're not mute Talk to one another that's nothing wrong with that What I'm saying is if you decide to you know Pursue that you need to make sure that you have the right authority structures Okay, and they need to be set in place and look guys. I'm not gonna make any exception for any guy You know if their parents if that girl's parents comes to me and says hey, I don't approve of this So I don't want you to do the marriage. I'll be like aye aye captain You're the authority You know, if you don't want me to marry your people then you're the dad. You're the mom. You're the authority I'm with you because I'm for authority structure. Amen So here's the last point that I want to make is this is in regards to The half has not been told is the rewards for serving God okay, the rewards for serving God the half has not been told and This requires a large level of faith, you know, because you know, the Bible does tells we do get rewarded here for serving God But there's times when you're not gonna see a reward And look at the Bible says in 1st Corinthians 13 12 for now we see through a glass darkly But then face to face now, I know in part but then shall I know even also as also I am known you know the subject of rewards in the Bible is very intriguing to me and It's something I think about often and I think it's because sometimes it's very obscure in the Bible So you can't really pinpoint Like if you just do this or just do all three of these things or all these four things. This is what you'll get And it kind of causes you to put a fishing pole in every pond of the service of God, right? Like which were the fish biting, you know, where the fish biting, you know, well, here's the thing There's fish in all these ponds. You just got to get five fishing poles and put them in each one and we'll see what happens Okay, right now but here's the thing. There's fish in the pot And here's the thing if you put the fishing pole in the pond, you're gonna catch fish the half has not yet been told and this should be a An admonishment encouragement to be steadfast unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord For as much as you know that your labor is not vain in the Lord, you know, you may not see it now You're seeing through a glass darkly You may be going through persecution you're going through a trial and it seems sometimes as though you're serving the Lord in vain You may feel that way every once in a while But just remember this is that hey the half has not been told and look God will exceedingly reward his servants I Will say this he'll probably give us more than what we deserve Generous Lord Okay, he'll give us obviously according to our work shall be but you know that minimum wage is way up though Okay, you know he's not gonna give you 12 bucks an hour basically, okay It's gonna be a lot more than that The Bible says in first John 3 to beloved now are we the sons of God and it doth not yet appear where we shall Be but we know that when he shall appear we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is I mean think about your resurrected body. We don't know what that's gonna look like You know, you know, I know you have this thing in your mind. You're like, okay, it's a pack It's like, you know beautiful hair and I'll have chiseled features and you know, I won't have a gut anymore or whatever You know, I'm just gonna let loose cuz I got the resurrection coming a man You know, we don't necessarily know We don't necessarily know what that's gonna be like, okay The only comparison that we have is the fact that Paul the Apostle tells us in 1st Corinthians 15 That just as you sow a seed into the ground and something something completely different comes out That's that's how it's gonna be but that's all we get So we just got to have faith that God will reward us You know that the best is yet to come The half is not yet been told and let that be a motivation to you to just stick it out no matter what You know, and so what's the sermon for this evening? Well, let's learn from the Queen of Sheba a man She with the little information that she had she heard the rumors and she was like we're taking the whole train over there taking the whole train all the camels were taking all the food and That little information was enough. She came she's like wow the half was not told you exceeded my expectations Let's take that train. Amen. Let's just step out in faith. Keep serving God and Recognize that You know, whatever half you do know, there's a lot more that comes with that information There's a lot more that comes with that blessing and guess what? There's a lot that comes with that cursing as well Amen fire heads and have a word of prayer father. We thank you so much for your word thank you for the promises founder in and Lord, we need encouragement every single week. We need to be reminded of these things sometimes I feel like we just need to be reminded of the eternal and we talk about the millennial reign we talk about heaven and Those days are coming they're coming in it, but sometimes they seem so far away that we forget and I pray God that you'd help us to remember that the best is still yet to come and that the half is not yet been told you've placed Symbolic things and and details and information even regarding the millennial reign and we read through the book of Isaiah We read through the book of Revelation We read through just different portions of Scripture and we can kind of put the pieces of the puzzle together And just just enough to motivate us to keep serving you but we need to be reminded We know for a fact that the half is not yet been told and I pray God that that would continue to motivate us Thank you so much for being good to our church bless us as we go on our way in Jesus name we pray. Amen
