You You Morning we're in job chapter number 14 Job chapter 14 Bible reads Man that is born of a woman is a few days and full of trouble He come with forth like a flower in his cut down He fleeth also as a shadow and continue if not Does thou open nine eyes upon such in one and bring us me into judgment with thee? Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean not one? Seeing his days are determined number of his months are with thee thou has appointed his bounds that he cannot pass Turn from him that he may rest till he shall accomplish as in hireling his day But there's hope of a tree if it be cut down that will sprout again that the tender branch thereof will not cease Though the root thereof wax old in the earth and the stock thereof die in the ground Yet through the scent of water it will bud and bring forth bows like a plant But man dieth and wasteth away Yea, man giveth up the ghost and where is he as the waters fail from the sea and the flood decayeth and drieth up So man lieth down and riseth not so the heavens be no more they shall not awake nor be erased out of their sleep. Oh That thou wouldst hide me in the grave that thou wouldst keep me secret until thy wrath be past that thou wouldst appoint me a set Time and remember me if a man die shall he live again? All the days of my appointed time will I wait till my change come thou shalt call and I will answer thee Thou wilt have a desire to work up thine hands for now thou number'st my steps. Dost thou not watch over my sin? My transgression is sealed up in a bag and now so ist up mine iniquity and surely the mountain falling cometh to naught and the rock Has removed out of his place the waters Where are the stones that washed us away the things which grow out of the dust of the earth and thou destroyest the hope of man Thou prevailest forever against him and he passeth Thou changest his countenance and sendest him away His sons come to honor and he knoweth it not and they are brought low But he perceiveth it not of them, but his flesh upon him shall have pain and his soul within him shall mourn Let's pray dear dear Lord God. Thank you again for everything you bless us with Just ask that you would meet with us here now this morning and please bless pasture me here with your Holy Spirit And the juice name we pray. Amen Amen, okay. We're in Job chapter 14 this morning and look down at verse number 5 It says seen his days are determined the number of his months are with thee Thou hast appointed his bounds that he cannot pass term from him that he may rest so he shall accomplish as in hireling his day and the title my sermon this morning is surpassing the limitations of man Surpassing the limitations of man here in Job chapter 14 and verse number 5 the Bible tells us that God Has appointed his bounds referring to appointing the bounds of man that he cannot pass meaning that man has limitations man has Boundaries that God has set forth and there are certain limitations that we have that are imposed upon us for various reasons Of course, we know that some limitations are there as a punishment right as a consequence as a punishment to mankind other Limitations that we have are there placed by God as a precautionary measure Meaning they are there in order to protect us from harming ourselves or for doing things that are not pleasing unto the Lord Also, some limitations are placed there so as to cause us to depend on someone greater than ourselves To go beyond those limits and this morning I want to talk about how to surpass the limitations that are imposed upon us in This life now go with me if you would to Genesis chapter 3 Genesis chapter 3 if you would go to Genesis chapter number 3 this title the sermon is Surpassing the limitations of man and I got three points this morning and so point number one Regarding surpassing the limitations of man. We're gonna talk about surpassing the limitations or the boundaries of man's life Expectancy how to surpass the limitations the boundaries of man's life Expectancy, did you know that man? Originally was created to live forever, you know, it wasn't God's intent for us to die It wasn't God's intent for us to have a limitation on our life his will His intention from the very start from Genesis chapter 1 was that we were to live forever with him to walk with him To have perfect fellowship with him that was God's will look at Genesis chapter 3 in verse number 1 Of course, we're familiar with the story, especially if you've been reading through your Bibles You've already gone through this chapter here in Genesis 3 verse 1 it says now the serpent Was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made and he said unto the woman gay hath God said Ye shall not eat of the tree of every tree of the garden Of course, we know that the serpent here is actually referring to Satan It doesn't explicitly say that it's the devil or that it's Satan but because we have the entirety of the Bible We know that Satan Lucifer one of his names is that old serpent the Bible talks about him being in the Garden of Eden and it says here that the the serpent or Satan was more cunning subtle than any beast of the field and one of the first things that he does is that he Cast doubt on God's Word and tells the woman Eve Did God really say that ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden and the answer is yes Of course, mine is the tree of knowledge of good and evil, right? It says a verse 2 It says it says verse number 2 the woman said unto the serpent I'm sorry He said ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden which is very which is true in the sense of he told not To you the tree of knowledge of good and evil But if every other tree told him you that may is freely eat you could have of every tree Except for the tree of knowledge of good and evil verse number 2 says the woman sent into the serpent We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden But of the fruit of the tree, which is in the midst of the garden God had said ye shall not eat of it Neither shall you touch it lest he died now here we have an exaggeration of Eve, right? Because God told Adam and Eve don't eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil You can eat of every tree, but it never said anything about touching it And of course, this is something that people do today where they take the commandments of God and they exaggerate them a little bit, right? Ends up being grievous to them and they say oh man. God has all these rules all these commands We can't have any fun. We can't do anything, you know that pleases ourselves or anything. That's fun in this life But really this is an exaggeration She's adding to the commandment that God had given to them And of course we know that the reason God imposed that commandment upon Adam and Eve because he didn't he didn't want them to die Because it says lest ye die So it wasn't something that God was imposing just to be hard on them just because he wanted to Make it grievous unto them He was doing it for their benefit that limitation was placed on them as a precautionary measure to protect them from dying Right says in verse number four in the serpent sentence of the woman ye shall not surely die now Satan of course is a deceiver and He received that all deception has to have a measure of truth with it, right? In order for people to believe it and there is a measure of truth in this statement that Satan is saying Because of the fact that if there were to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil They're not going to immediately just fall over and die, right? They're not just gonna just fall over die no longer physically live However, the process or should we say the fall begins at this point when they eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil Their conscience is awakened now They are slain by the law so to speak and now they can no longer live forever once they do that verse 5 says for God doth know that in the day eat thereof then shall your eyes be open and he shall be as gods knowing good and evil and when the woman saw that the tree was Good for food and that it was pleasant to the eyes and a tree to be desired to make one wise she took of the fruit thereof and did eat and gave also unto her husband with her and He did eat and the eyes of them both were open and they knew that they were naked And they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons So obviously this is referring to the fact that at this point now they are Spiritually dying meaning that now there is a limitation that's placed on their life prior to this There was no limitation they could live forever. They're gonna be in the Garden of Eden forever Fellowshiping with God walking with God in the cool of the day Listening to the Word of God now a cap has been placed on there now They're no longer permitted to live forever. And in fact, they will die Okay And so after the fall the boundaries of man's life expectancy went from eternity to just under a millennia Now for us is like, oh man, that's I mean that sounds great to live almost a thousand years Yeah, I mean that sounds great to live almost for a thousand years for hundreds of years is great But here's the thing. What about in comparison to just living forever though, right? And so obviously these limitations these boundaries closed up a cap was placed on Eternal life once they took of the tree of knowledge of good and evil now, they're only allowed to live Approximately a thousand years and of course the oldest man in the Bible lived up to be nine hundred and sixty Nine years of age, which is Methuselah just shy of you know, a thousand years Adam lived to be nine hundred and thirty years So we can say that man's life was capped at a thousand years approximately people falling short just of that But in comparison to eternal life, that's still nothing at all to us It is because we don't we definitely don't live for hundreds of years But for those who were in this time period it is cut short compared to eternity This boundary was imposed as a punishment for eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil The limits of man's life expectancy actually even after this was even cut shorter go to Genesis chapter 6 Genesis chapter 6 if you would Genesis chapter number 6 so after the fall you have man living to approximately 900 years Adam living 930 years Methuselah living 969 years others living 700 years 800 years I mean that's great for us But for them not so great because eternity was taken from them But even after this there's another segment of history where the boundaries the limitations of the life Expectancy was shortened to even more Genesis chapter 6 and verse number 1 This is the famous story of knowing the flood it says and it came to pass when men Began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born unto them That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair and they took them wives of all which they chose Now the sons of God here are not referring to angels by the way It's referring to believers the Bible tells us in John 1 12 But as many as received them to them give you power to become the sons of God even unto them to believe on his name Celestial beings known as angels are not called the sons of God. So what are they called angels? Okay? It's very simple You know sons of God are those who have been begotten of the gospel Right and are saved have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ So what we see here in verse number two is that believers of course in Genesis chapter 4 We see that men began to call upon the name of the Lord meaning the men are getting saved in the earth The earth is multiplying with believers There's a lot of saved people during this time and in verse number two We see that the believers begin to mix in with unbelievers This is what it's referring to when it says the daughters of men and of course They are now unequally yoked together with unbelievers It says in verse 3 and the Lord said my spirit shall not always strive with man for that He also is flesh yet his days shall be a hundred and twenty years Now this has a double meaning because 120 years is actually referring to When the flood is going to come upon the earth in order to destroy the world because of their wickedness But it also means that the life expectancy of man also begins to shorten up and a limitation The boundary is closed up even more from 900 years 969 years to approximately a hundred a hundred and twenty years now. Why is that? Well look at verse 5 It says in God's all the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every Imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil Continually and it repented the Lord that he had made man on earth and it grieved him at his heart So what we see here is that man when giving given access and obviously now they're unregenerated Now they're gonna physically die, but when they're given centuries to live. What is the result of that well evil men? And seducers shall wax worse and worse you see if you give in a wicked Psycho just years on end to live there is no reformation of that person. They're only gonna get worse that's why the prison systems doesn't work when it comes to people who are murderers and pedophiles and Serial killers thinking that that somehow will reform them well if you put them in this program It'll help them to get better No The longer you allow them to live the more evil and wicked their imaginations will become They will wax worse and worse and worse because time only permits them to get worse the Bible says that they become ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth and This is why later on the death penalty is instituted on certain individuals because someone who's a serial killer Guess what you know you can give them 30 years in prison But you let that person out and give them unfettered access to murder. You know what's gonna happen. They're gonna commit murder again You Know 30 years is nothing But you know you got Yolanda out here who you know killed Selena, and she's about to get out soon I don't know. I don't know what they were thinking. They're just like oh, you know she learned her life No, she's she committed murder. She's capable of taking another man's life and So sometimes people think well We just need to give this person more time and more time equals them repenting getting right Possibly getting saved wrong it doesn't work like that and You know there's a philosophy out there that says well. You know if we just give this person more time Maybe they'll get saved in the long run But here's the thing is that and I don't want to get ahead of myself because it's part of my last point But you don't reprobate you can give them decades on end. They're never gonna get right with God You can give psychopaths and reprobates and sodomites Decades yea centuries, and I promise you they're not gonna get saved. They're not gonna get right with God They're not gonna stop committing abominable things Why because evil men and producers will wax worse and worse and the more years you give them the more decades you give them the worst They'll actually become and in fact let me say this the more dangerous They become because they have more time on the earth to conjure up more wickedness, right? So you got to think about it from the time of the fall up until Genesis chapter 6 You have men living to 900 years of age I mean what can wicked people conjure up in 900 years? How much can they perfect iniquity within 900 years, right? Their imaginations will only become evil continually And this is why Romans 1 tells us that they are inventors of evil things how much more when they have centuries to do so so you have a Population of people, of course, we know that they're saved people but there's also a population of unsaved people unregenerated people and these unregenerated people have been given centuries to live and therefore wax worse and worse and It grieves the Lord it repents him that he had made man on earth. So what is the solution? Just wipe out the whole earth Amen you know, he's just like I'm just gonna destroy the entire world and So go to turn to Psalm 90 if you would talk Psalm chapter 90 so we see that in Genesis chapter 3 the limitations of man's life expectancy goes from eternity to Approximately a millennia a little bit just under a millennia then after that in Genesis chapter 6 the result of allowing man to live for centuries Is that man begins to wax worse and worse and the earth becomes violent filled with wickedness The thoughts of their heart only evil continually because their mind is unfettered It is just allowed to continue to do evil and keep in mind that in Genesis chapter 6 the death penalty isn't instituted Right and we went over this a couple weeks ago But people aren't being put to death for crime. So they're just getting worse and worse and worse So go to Psalm 90 ultimately After this the boundaries of man's life Expectancy tapers off around 80 years of age now you think to yourself Well, you know it says a hundred and twenty But I think that's just referring to when the flood comes because isn't there people in the Bible that live beyond 120 I mean aren't there people in history in recent history that lived up to maybe a little more than 120 But the hundred and twenty is just kind of like the cap though It's like the general number that's being put out there and the reason we know that that's true is because of the fact that in Psalm 90 it talks about man living up to only about 80 years old now Let me ask you do you know anybody who's lived beyond 80 years of age? Of course, there's people who are in their 90s Hundreds, does that mean that the Bible is not telling the truth here? No This is just giving us a general number of the general population how long they're gonna live for you understand look at Psalm 90 And verse number nine it says for all our days are passed away in thy wrath We spend our years as a tale that is told The days of our years are three score years and ten and if by reason of strength they be four score years Yet is their strength and labor and sorrow for it is soon cut off and we fly away So the Bible tells us that if you're really strong you can make it to about 80 years of age okay, and that is the general number that the Bible is giving us here and But obviously we know people we've heard of people living beyond this this is just kind of giving us a gauge a general number of what people can actually live up to and Here it says that by reason of strength meaning that your physical body is just strong enough to make it pass You know 70 years of age 75 years of age and so forth So we can say that in the age in which we're living at this moment. That's pretty much the cap, right? I mean now young people think that like 40 years old. They think 50 years old. They think 60 years old, right? They think 70 is okay. Well, maybe that's a long You know 70 is okay. Maybe that that is a little older But what about in the world where? 900 people live to be 900 years of age. I mean you'll be 300 you're still like a young buck 400 years of age is like you haven't been around the block long enough You know 400 that's like 40 or something, you know Now why is this well obviously the more the longer man lives in this world the more wicked it becomes the more man is given over to Vices and sin and they actually end up Shortening their own life expectancy to the point where man only lives approximately seven years 80 with strength So these are the limitations That are placed on man from the garden. You have eternal life now It's dropped down to just under a millennia after just under a millennia. It's dropped to a hundred and twenty years After Noah's flood in the years thereafter now you have people living up to 80 years if by reason of strength Now the question is how do we surpass those limitations? Well go with you're in song go to Psalm 55 if you wouldn't Psalm 55 Psalm 55 And then we start off by saying the most obvious way to surpass the limitations of our life expectancy is to get saved. Amen That's the best way The best way to surpass and break the boundaries a man's life expectancy Man's boundaries to die is to what get say believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and live forever And in fact, let me reach you from John chapter 11 and verse 25 It says Jesus said unto her I am the resurrection and the life he that believeth in me though. He were dead Yet shall he live and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die Believest thou this now I love this passage because it's saying that if someone is dead, but they are saved They're gonna live again And he says who server liveth and believeth in me shall never die So it's covering both bases It's saying people who have died but were saved they're gonna live again And by the way, if you're living and you believe you will live again, right? What is this telling us it tells us it's showing us it's giving us the formula by which we can surpass the limitations of our life expectancy and that is Getting saved getting eternal life or by grace. Are you safe through faith and that not of yourselves? It is the gift of God not of works as any man should boast the Bible tells us that we can live forever Not through our own works not through keeping God's commandments not by repenting of your sin Not by doing anything in and of ourselves, but only believing on the Lord Jesus Christ Acts chapter 16 most famous verse when it comes to soul winning says In Acts chapter 16 verse number 30 says he brought them out and said sirs. What must I do to be saved? They said believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved in that house Doesn't say be baptized. It doesn't say go to church It doesn't say read your Bible from cover to cover to be saved. It doesn't say keep all of God's commandments It definitely doesn't say keep the Sabbath It doesn't say be circumcised according to the law of Moses. It just says believe on the Lord Jesus Christ Because we in and of ourselves cannot save ourselves We cannot keep God's commandments the Bible tells us in Romans chapter 3 verse 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law So if you're depending on keeping the law to be saved you're spinning your wheels Okay It's a fool's errand to try to keep God's commandments in order to merit eternal life because listen to this the Bible tells us in James chapter 2 verse number 10 whosoever keepeth the whole law Meaning a person who's like I'm gonna keep God's commandments to be saved Well whosoever keepeth the whole law yet offend in one point Meaning if you were to keep 99% of the commandments, but there's one they just kind of slipped And you forgot to you forgot to keep it says whosoever keepeth the whole law yet offend in one point. He's guilty of all So you can get a 99% score on keeping God's commandments, but if you miss one you get an F F on eternal life you don't get it why because God's Standard listen to this is perfection So if you're gonna get to heaven based upon keeping God's commandments you better have kept them perfectly since the time you were born to Day you die. Well, that's impossible exactly Exactly because the laws are schoolmaster the Bible says to bring us unto Christ when we look when we see the law we see how Insufficient we are in saving ourselves We panic We're like oh, man I already broken these what do I do and it's supposed to lead us to the foot of the cross To the man who was tempted in all points Yeah, as we are yet without sin who kept all of God's commandments perfectly We believe on him and then his righteousness his perfection is imputed upon us That gift of eternal life is given to us and what happens at that point we break through the boundary of all the limitations of life Expectancy now we can live forever doesn't mean that we won't physically die one day Obviously, we're all gonna physically die and quite frankly. I'm not trying to speed that process up Right. I'm not sure I was like, oh, I'm saved. So I'm just gonna live everyone I'm just gonna you know drink and do drugs and just live a Sinful life and just put myself in precarious situations where my life expectancy can be cut short No, you know obviously I want to live long on this earth to serve the Lord But hold on a second, you know as much as I want to go to heaven. I don't want to go today I'm not trying to go tomorrow. I got work to do Got a family to raise a man got the Word of God to preach. We all got a purpose in life We are as workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which got it before day that we should walk in them We have God has a plan for our lives as cliche as that may sound and so we don't want to speed up that process But let's say some freak accident happens to you and you die today. Guess what if you're saved, it's okay You've already surpassed the boundaries of that life expectancy that limitation and now you're living forever. And here's the thing folks Is that when you die? physically die You know to be absent from the bodies to be present with the Lord You go to heaven to be with the Lord your body goes underground six feet But even that at that point the body doesn't stay there forever You're like I know worms eat it, you know, or the cemetery place just does something with that and you know, no No, what I mean is there's something called the resurrection and the Bible says that he will raise you up in the last day The Bible says that he will give you a glorified body completely absent of sin So though you are physically dead in your flesh ye shall see God So even your physical body surpasses the limitations of man's life expectancy physically once you believe on Jesus Christ Salvation is not just for the soul my friends salvation is also for the body Now you're not looking at a safe body here because I have corruptible flesh. This is a carnal body My spirit is saved My flesh is not and this is why the flesh lusteth against the spirit the spirit against the flesh These are contrary the ones of the other see you cannot do the things that you would So we have to subject the flesh to do the things of God all the days of our life But at the end of the day once we die and the resurrection takes place. This body is raised Incorruptible this body is raised glorified completely absent of sin Perfect, right? Six-pack and all amen. I don't know if that's true or not. A Man can dream You know, you'll have long luxurious hair and no blemishes and all that So we're talking about surpassing the limitations of man Obviously the best way to do that is by getting saved and and this message of getting saved to surpass Man's boundaries is especially important for those who may be near death. Maybe someone who is sick who is near death You know, they're afraid to die But you know if you're saved you shouldn't be afraid to die you'll be Present with the Lord and you shall live again. And in fact in God's eyes You're just a living person no matter what even if you physically die God is not the God of the dead but of the living the Bible tells us, okay But let's talk about surpassing the limitations of man the physical Boundaries limitations placed on us. How can we live longer? Okay. Well, first of all righteous living will Assure us that we can live longer Look at Psalm 55 verse 22, but thou O God shall bring them down into the pit of destruction bloody and deceitful men Shall not live out half their days But I would trust indeed. So what is the Bible talking about? It's saying that people who are violent people who are deceptive people who shed blood innocent blood They don't live out half their days. What does that mean means they die young? This is why gang members in general die young the laws like I know an og though Okay, you know I know an og he's still around Yeah, but the exception proves the rule though Okay, because if we're to take a statistic a poll of how many of them actually live who are actually living the gang life By the way, you know and putting in work and doing all that stuff. Guess what a lot of them die young. I Mean I think of a cousin that I had who was involved in gangs and this is in the 90s You know, he died in 1991 1992 and he was just I think it was about 20 years of age You know and you say why did he die? Well, he was involved in drive-by shootings. He was involved in killings He was involved. He unfortunately was a bloody and a deceitful man Taking lives of innocent people and you know what? What goes around comes around you reap what you sow bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days and So living a violent bloody wicked sinful life will guarantee your life expectancy to be cut short Well, obviously the opposite of that is don't be a bloody and deceitful person live a wholesome Righteous life the Bible tells us go to Psalm 91 if you would Psalm 91 I'm gonna reach you from Psalm 25 verse 21. It says let integrity and a brightness Preserve me for I will wait on them. Did you know just in general if you just live a Christian life and You abide by Christian principles. We're not even talking about doctrine necessarily just living like a Christian You're gonna increase your life expectancy exponentially Why because you know Christians don't drink they're not supposed to drink at least when I supposed to drink Why because they believe alcohol sinful because it is Look not thou upon the wine when it is red I want to give it this color in the cup with the movements itself All right wine is a mock a strong drink is raging whosoever is deceived. Thereby is not wise Though I know Christians that drink. Yeah, they're cutting their life expectancy short there, okay But just being a Christian in general increases your life expectancy why because we're not involved in vice We're not involved in drunkenness and drugs and things that are destroying our body and things that are harmful to us In general we go to bed on time We wake up in a decent hour. We're working people and think about this. You know one of the virtues of Christianity is joy You know sadness depression anger and malice just kills people Just just makes them miserable people whereas Christians because we have the joy of the Lord We have the tendency to live longer, and it's proven that if you laugh you live longer and If that's true, man, I do have eternal life. Amen Cuz I laugh a lot. I love to laugh why cuz I love life. I love living the Christian life. You know I'm not miserable. I'm not Depressed I'm not discouraged. I have the Lord as my God. I have the Bible as my guide I have a wonderful church. I have a family have brothers and sisters in Christ There's so much to be thankful for it swells up joy in your life And it causes you to just live that much longer which by the way just a public service announcement smile more amen You're a Christian Okay, you're not a Mormon There's some Christians out there that have accountants of a Mormon I actually Mormons not a good because they have that fluoride look right You know You know you're not a Muslim You're not a Buddhist You're not a Jehovah's Witness those people aren't saved. They don't have the hope of eternal life Folks we do so smile every once in a while Look at Psalm 91 verse 15. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble I would deliver him and honor him with long life listen to this will I satisfy him and Show him my salvation one of the blessings of being a Christian is what long life He says I will satisfy you with a long life Why is it satisfactory to have a long life for the Christian because it's just that much longer to enjoy the beauty of God To enjoy the beauty of life to enjoy the service of God to see more people save to hear More sermons preached to sing praises unto the Lord how about just that much longer to walk with the Lord I? Mean people in the in the Old Testament Obviously they didn't have a canonized Bible, but you think of those who live for centuries on end I mean they had centuries to walk with God to know the Lord deeply and That is a blessing and so one of the benefits of just being a Christian is that you just live longer You know you're not out on Friday nights at the bar Right at least you shouldn't be You're not out there smoking marijuana and doing drugs and doing things that are harmful to you And in fact the Christian life teaches you discipline in moderation Right you're not out there mukbanging You're not out there eating in excess drinking the excess everything's in moderation You're out there to enjoy the simple things in life Well how can you have fun if you don't have wine and drink and strong drink well, how about juice How about soda how about you know sparkling cider those are just just as fun well? I don't think that's just as fun Well, that's why you're not gonna live that long That's why you're not gonna live that long okay Let me read to you from Proverbs chapter 3 verse 1 go to 1st John chapter 5 if you would How to surpass the boundaries of our limitations? I'll tell you how when it comes to life expectancy just live a righteous life Live a life in accordance to God's Word live a life That's pleasing unto the Lord stay abstained from sin live a moderate Christian life Have joy in your life enjoy the Christian life the Bible says in Proverbs 3 verse 1 my son forget not my law but let thine heart keep my Commandments for length of days and a long life and Peace shall they add to thee so it's not just enough that God gives us a long life I want you to notice he gives us peace along with that long life. There's people who live long and are not peaceful They're miserable. They're sad. They're angry. They're you know upset all the time, but here. It says that he'll give us length of days Meaning that we're able to do more throughout the day long life and tranquility peace meaning tranquility The fact that we have the peace of God the past with understanding This is optimal This is what we should strive for if you want to surpass the boundaries of limit of your limitations When it comes to your life expectancy live a righteous life and just mark it down living a life of sin will kill you It won't take away your salvation because we can't lose our salvation Because the Bible says I give unto them eternal life, and they shall listen to this never perish Not maybe pairs now sometimes pairs. They shall never perish neither shall any man Yourself included by the way plucked them out of my hand the Bible says so once you have salvation you have it forever But that's not to say you can't cut your physical life short How by sin look at 1st John chapter 5 verse 16 it says if any man see his brother sin a sin Which is not unto death he shall ask and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death I want you to notice this part. There is a sin unto death. I do not say that he shall pray for it What is he saying you know certain sins that people commit? It's just like they kind of seal their fate to sin unto death There's certain people that commit certain sins where there's no going back from that. It'll probably cost you your life someone who goes out and parties and drinks a bunch of alcohol can potentially get alcohol poisoning and Seal their fate and die Or maybe they don't die, but then they get in a car They drive and then they died because they're you know they're inebriated they crash they die. There's a sin unto death and I think of a cousin that I had years ago. He's he's actually he was saved. He went to heaven But you know in his younger years unfortunately and by that I mean from 18 to about 25 or so He lived a very sinful just drug induced life with alcohol experimenting with all types of drugs and that party life and You know it destroyed his body And it got to a point where you know he was in the hospital and the doctors basically said like you're gonna die You need to go say your goodbyes cuz you're gonna die and he ended up getting saved I didn't get him saved, but he got saved at a different church, and I didn't know this so I called him Because I had heard that he was potentially gonna die And I called him because I wanted to give him the gospel, and he said actually I just got saved you know I trusted Christ as my Savior so I know that I'm saved and His parents and my family had already told me like it's already too late for him though when it comes to his body though Like he is gonna die at any time this week. He's he's gonna go home to be with the Lord But My cousin told me he said you know I'm saved, but I believe God's gonna deliver me from this too, though I'm confident God's gonna. I'm gonna live through this like I'm not gonna die, and I'm thinking to myself well the data says otherwise you know You've did you you you've committed sin unto death, and I didn't respond to him I didn't tell him that of course. I just said you know I'll see you in heaven one day I'll see you in heaven cuz I'm safe too, you know And so probably a few days thereafter two three days thereafter. He died and It didn't really matter how much he thought he was gonna live there is a sin unto death So you young people you better think twice? Before you go out there to sow your wild oats and get involved in sin and get involved with alcohol and get involved with that Woman with that man with those friends. You know the Bible says that a companion of fools shall be destroyed You get around the wrong crowd Doing the wrong things you know they may not die, but I promise you you will Because you're a child of God being a child of God doesn't necessarily exempt you from being spared the consequences of the unsaved my friends Sometimes in fact God chastises you worse He allows you to perish because there is a sin unto death. Hey don't drink don't smoke and don't run with those that do amen Live a godly Christian life live a virtuous Christian life adhere to the principles of the Bible Hey spend your Sundays in church, amen Spend your evenings at home reading your Bible with your family Spend your extracurricular activities doing things that are not harmful to you that are not against the Word of God live a wholesome Christian life Living a Christian life can increase your life expectancy by merely adhering to its disciplines of abstaining from sin Exercising moderation and just having joy and of course make sure you have a good diet You exercise specifically lift If you want to run, that's fine, whatever. I Just want you to do anything. But eventually may you go back to lifting. Amen Bible says in Proverbs 12 verse 28 release Can you turn that on in the way of righteousness is life and the pathway thereof is no Death go to Ephesians chapter 6 if you would Ephesians chapter number 6 We're talking about surpassing the limitations of man and specifically man's life expectancy was cut down from a Eternal eternity to a millennia from a millennia to 120 years from 120 years to approximately 80 years But we could surpass that how by getting saved We can surpass that by how by living a righteous life And by the way, this also includes just not not just not consuming alcohol. How about just not consuming negative content? You know, some people just kind of cut their life short because they're so stressed out They're so worried They're so full of care because they spend all their time on social media all their time listening to the gloom and doom Podcast all their time and with the elections and politics. Hey, kiss tick-tock. Goodbye. Forget about it. It's okay There's a life outside of tick-tock. It sucked anyways You you didn't you weren't a good dancer. Anyway, so just get over it. It's gone. Kiss it. Goodbye and In my mind, I'm like it would almost do well to just ban all of them Just so we can go back to just reading books and just like not being so stressed all the time because people live so stressed They're so worried. They're so full of care They have so much anxiety I mean I've never I've never heard this phrase so much more so much and as I've heard it in the last like five ten years social anxiety I I Feel like I've heard that more I don't think I've ever heard that when I was a young kid Or a teenager I hear it more now than ever before especially after 2020 I have social anxiety, you know, and let me just let me just be frank with you Christians do not have the luxury of having social anxiety Why because we got to go tell people how to be saved and we got you know, we're a light in this world We're supposed to befriend the people of this world in order to get them saved and and be kind to people But you let me tell you what why people have social anxiety a lot is because of social media social media gives social anxiety I'll get off that for now. Look at Ephesians chapter 6. Here's another way to live longer Says children obey your parents in the Lord for this is right. This is every parent's life verse Honor thy father and mother Which is the first commandment with promise that it may be well with thee and thou mayest live long on the earth so the Bible asserts that if we honor our parents and you could apply this financially or Respectfully just in honoring just in general you will live longer now. How does this work? Well, here's the thing Is that extending your life expectancy due to honoring your parents could have something to do with just the law of sowing and reaping Right you reap what you sow you dishonor your parents you disrespect your parents God will make sure that you your life is cut short because you get you reap what you sow and So we want to raise listen to me. We want to raise a generation of children who do not disrespect our parents dishonor them You know curse them Speak evil of them and you may be sitting there thinking yeah, but you don't know my parents Well, did they give you life though? And you know what? You might have had some rotten parents That's a possible. That's a possibility. But the fact that you're alive though is enough for you to honor your parents and I'm not saying that you know, you have to honor evil and wicked people if that's who they are But I guarantee you the vast majority of parents they who of your parents my parents are not wicked Imperfect, of course, so are you? Did they make mistakes? Of course, we all do Did they fall short in their parenthood? Of course, they do we all do Yeah, but they're not Christians. None of us are born. Not all of us are born with Christian parents The Bible just says honor your parents regardless Okay, and we don't want to raise a generation of Tik-tok Christians and children who think it's okay to mock their parents and speak evil of them and curse them Regardless of what you think they did or what they actually did Amen Does it matter why because you reap what you sow? And let me just remind you that you as a parent you're gonna make mistakes You're Not gonna do everything correctly and you better hope that your children show you the same level of honor that you showed your parents with their imperfections You know, I hope that my kids honor me as I honored my mom and my dad. I Really hope they do. Oh, thanks. I want them to see how much I love my mom and I love my father and even though I'm already a Parent of going on six that you know, I still respect my mother I respect my father and I love them and I do everything I can in my power to help them when they're in need Why because I want them to reciprocate that as well when they grow older number one Because it's a blessing to have children who honor you. But number two, I want them to live long on the earth as well You know what if a child honors their parents, let me just say this It's just a lot easier for them to start honoring God when they get saved who's their Heavenly Father You find me a child who dishonors their parents dishonors their father dishonors their mother I'll point you a child that will dishonor God That's how it is. Why because God gave us parents as a way to prepare us to have a relationship with God our Father because if we honor our parents guess what we're gonna obey and honor God as well and So you want to live long on this earth Call your mom after the service Call your dad after church and say dad. I love you You're like yeah, but that's out of my character. Yeah, that's Christian character though. So it better not be out of your character. Amen You know live long by honoring your parents exemplify honoring your parents to your children So that they would do the same to you now go to Ecclesiastes chapter 8 Ecclesiastes chapter 8 I spent a lot of time on that first point, but it is important the title of the sermon is surpassing the limitations of man Surpassing the limitations of man and the first thing we said is that in order to surpass Man's limitations of his life expectancy. You got to get saved but after salvation righteous living righteous living moderate living, you know And also honoring your parents number two Surpassing the limitations of man's talk about surpassing the limitations of man's labor or work Ecclesiastes chapter 8 and verse 16 says when I applied my heart to know wisdom and To see the business that is done upon the earth for also there is that neither day nor nights Seeth sleep with his eyes Then I beheld all the work of God That a man cannot find out the work that is done under the Sun because though a man labored to seek it out Yet he shall not find it. Yea father though a wise man think to know it yet Shall he not be able to find it? What is he saying here? You know, it doesn't matter how much you work How much you labor at the end of the day? There's only so much you can do You know and if we're to apply this in a spiritual manner You know, you can work for God as much as you possibly can but you and I both know there's always more work to be done and If you're serious about serving the Lord and working for God and getting the most out of this life as possible to serve God You have come to the conclusion as I have that at the end of the day when I died the work is still not accomplished There's still more to be done. Go to John chapter 9 John chapter 9 Though a man labored to seek it out the Bible says yet he shall not Find it. There's always more work to be done. Okay Always more work to be done And by the way on the flip side of that we knew that we needed to apply this as fathers To realize, you know, if you're a workaholic That there's always more work to be done go home Go spend time with your spouse go spend time with your children why because it's always more work to be done You're like, well, I just got more work. It's gonna be there tomorrow You know and so make sure that you are spending adequate time with your family But I want to get back to this particular point regarding passing the limitations of man's work I want you to notice John chapter 9 verse number 1 it says and as Jesus passed by he saw a man which was blind from his birth and His disciples asked him to say master who did sin this man or his parents that he was born blind Now that is one of the dumbest questions I've ever read in the Bible and every time I read it I chuckle I laugh you say why well think about he said You know who did sin? This man or his parents that he was born blind He has understand he was like did this guy sin and that's why he was born blind it's like You know Jesus very patient with his disciples Jesus answer neither has this man sin nor his parents But that the works of God should be made manifest in him Now the verse that I want you to notice here verse number four says I must work the works of him that sent me while it is day the night cometh when no man can work and What is he saying here? He's saying that you know in a work day a physical work day you work during the day and once nighttime comes Work ceases it's time to go home and What he's what he's doing here is he's applying the spiritual truth that serving God is like working throughout that day Right preaching the gospel is like laboring in that day going to church and raising your family for God It's like laboring in that day, but let me just say this the night cometh when no man can work So you better take advantage of working in that day you better take advantage of the sowing opportunities Do you have now you better take advantage of the missions? Opportunities that you have right now you better take advantage of the opportunities you have to serve God in church right now Why because the night cometh when no man can work? There's gonna come a day when you just might die and you go to heaven you're like Like the song says I wish I had given him more Or you like well, you know at that point. I'm already in heaven, but you know there's certain people where the night comes And they're still here You know I I personally think about my father-in-law Who had an ABM he's 100% incapacitated He's no longer able to preach. He can't walk around and go soul winning He can't even pick up a Bible to read it all he could do is pray I mean he just he just essentially lays there on his bed, and he's been like that since 2013 the night came for him in 2013 he's not he hasn't gone home to be with the Lord He's incapacitated and is no longer able to serve God at the capacity that you and I can't even though He's still here on this earth, but let me say this my father-in-law labored in the day though And in those years that he served God he took advantage of every single minute of that quote-unquote day until the night came and I say that to say this to you that the night might come to you But it may not be in heaven it may be in on this earth You may be incapacitated one day, and you know what one thing you'll probably feel is is regret Because you're like man. I wish I would have gone so anymore I Wish I would have gone on and preached the gospel far more times than I did I wish I would have read my Bible. I wish I would have gotten involved in church more I wish I would have served more, but you know what the night is now here and no man can work Now how do we surpass those limitations? Go to 1st Timothy chapter 6 1st Timothy chapter 6 1st Timothy chapter number 6 First and foremost you know the way you can surpass this limitation is by investing into the work of God Now obviously you can invest your talents you can invest your prayer life, but invest your treasures as well But what it says in 1st Timothy 6 6 6 17 Charge them that are rich in this world that they be not high-minded nor trust in uncertain riches But in the living God who giveth us richly all things to enjoy Now I'm looking at this crowd. I don't really think there's rich people here. You know just You know I think everyone's broke here, but you know I think this still applies to us, okay? We can upload we can make application to ourselves even though we're not rich in monetary wealth Okay, verse 18 says that they do good that they be rich in good works Ready to distribute willing to communicate, so he's saying you know people who are of monetary wealth They need to make sure that they're not placing all their faith in that money And in fact what they need to do is designate designate that money to the kingdom of God He says do good with it. Do good works with it distribute it communicate it verse 19 look what it says This is the result laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come That they referring to the monetary wealth may lay hold on eternal life So in other words you could either save your money, or you can save your money What do you mean? You could either save your money by laying it up in store here? Or you can save your money by giving an eternal life by investing in spiritual things This is how the wealth of this world can lay hold on eternal life, and you know as I was working on this point I kept thinking about him the man named Russell Anderson, okay, and If you don't know who Russell Anderson is you will as soon as I say Hiles Anderson College Okay, he's the man who essentially helped brother Hiles start Hiles Anderson College. He's a millionaire okay, he's a very I think he's like a multi he was a multi-millionaire and He was very wealthy had a lot of wealth But you know he I'm almost certain that this was his life verse right here Because he spent a lot of his monetary wealth on the work of God meaning that he paid full-time Soul owners in the Philippines he paid to start churches He paid to start Works and missions and pay full-time Soul owners to go around the world and preach the gospel and that's what he did why he was why he was alive Well recently I heard that that's still in that's still in progress You know and I didn't know this, but he actually passed away. I don't know a couple years ago maybe like four or five years ago and He specifically took his inheritance and put it in the responsibility of a particular pastor that he can trust and he said I want This money to be used for church planning and soul winning he said so when you hear about a person starting a fundamental Baptist Church and Everything's solid on this guy invest in that church, okay? And he's still paying for soul winners. I mean there's a there's a church that just started. You know somewhere in this area It's a fundamental Baptist Church. He's a house Anderson graduate and He helped he paid finances to help start that church So he's still doing that now What's the point of that of that illustration? Well, he is one of those few people who are rich here, and he's also rich up there And you would think like oh, man You know the night came though when he could no longer work Yeah, but he kind of surpassed the limitations though because he's in heaven and guess what it's just like wealth Just keeps popping up for him Just more rewards more rewards. Why because he specifically designated his monetary wealth for the kingdom of God and The man was not only rich here, but he's also rich in faith, so he's up there with the Lord singing praises unto God with money in the bank He's balling up there in heaven right now All kinds of spiritual wealth because he's still investing in the kingdom, and I'm talking about he's paying college students To go soul winning full-time during the summer when they're when they're on break So if they want a job He's like I want you to go soul winning full-time in the summer, and that's what you're that's I'll pay you to do that Praise God for that What's the point the point is is that he surpassed his Limitations by sending his wealth ahead of ahead of himself go to first Corinthians chapter 15 first Corinthians chapter 15 if you would Let me read to you from John chapter 6 verse 26 It says late verse 27 says labor not for the meat which perishes But for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of Man shall given to you for him hath God the Father Sealed You know we also know that we can surpass the limitations of our labor by being diligent by working hard and Ultimately here's the greatest way to surpass your limitations because you may think to yourself. Yeah, I'm not really a gifted Christian though I'm not very talented. I'm not very gifted Well, this is how you can surpass the limitation of your talentless life that you have and that is God Because think about this and I think here's a great example of this Samson You know Samson was the strongest man in the Bible, and it's not because he deadlifted squatted benched Did hypertrophy you know don't listen to the Hollywood movies? Or anytime they want to do a movie about Samson they get the rock or something They get some Samoan dude. Who's just jacked. He's on gear He got baby oil and air he's just massive Hey, like oh, this is what Samson looked like no. He didn't look like that Because if he looked like that why would he need the Spirit of God? See what made him unique is the fact that he was probably Victim way I mean he was probably you know very thin skinny No Muscle, but the power of the Spirit of God came upon him the power of God came upon him And he was able to do great exploits not because of his muscle But because he was strong in the Lord and the power of his might you see Samson Surpassed the limitations of his physical body why because he had the Spirit of the Lord upon him And you know what you may be a five talented Christian praise God the Spirit of God can make him ten You might be a two talented Christian praise God, but the Spirit of God can make you a four You may be a one talented Christian Amen to that But you know what the Spirit of God can make you a two make you a five make you a ten Because it's the power of God upon someone's life that will cause them to break through that boundary That boundary that limitation that man has look at 1st Corinthians 15 verse 9 for I am the least of the Apostles This is the Apostle Paul speaking that I am NOT meet to be called an apostle because I persecuted the Church of God But by the grace of God I am what I am and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain But I labored more abundantly than they all yet not I but the grace of God which was with me Therefore whether it were I or they so he preached so you believe what you say, you know The Apostle Paul had some limitations. He got saved later on in life. He's the least of all the Apostles. He came late He was one born out of due time But yet in spite of that he was still able to labor more abundantly than all the Apostles Why because of the grace of God that was with him go to Romans chapter 1 Romans 1 if you would I Must hasten here because I'm pretty much out of time. I'll let you remind me going for another 30 minutes to an hour. So I Saw some worried faces out there Talk about surpassing the limitations of man number three the last point is Surpassing man's limitations of sin Surpassing man's limitations of sin now before we get into my main point here Let me start off by saying that the Bible says for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God So essentially there's kind of like a limitation there of how much righteousness we can do because at the end of the day We're always gonna sin There's not a just man upon earth that do with good and sin is not there's nothing to do with good No, not one the Bible says right? There's none righteous We're always gonna sin, you know, the Bible tells us if we say we have no sin We deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us But we can't surpass that limitation By being or living more righteously and reduce the amount of sins that we commit right You know, yeah, we're sinners, but we don't have to be involved in all kinds of sin. We're sinners, but we don't have to be adulterers We don't have to be fornicators We don't have to be railers extortioners drunkards Idolaters We don't have to be a wicked person Even though we're sinners we can surpass that limitation and not get involved in those particular sins. You're like, yeah, but still well Actually, those sins are pretty evil in the eyes of God many of which will cause someone to get excommunicated from church Now, how do we surpass those limitations? How do we live like that being in church and hearing hard preaching? reading the Word of God You know walking in the spirit not fulfilling the lust of the flesh things of that nature But here's my last point. I'm gonna spend a couple minutes on this because it's important. This is a Sunday morning crowd So we want to teach the new people What the Bible says about this particular topic because we're talking about surpassing the boundaries of sin now, we're all sinners Meaning we all commit sin, but let me just explain something to you that there are certain abominable sins that any human being cannot commit who's saved Okay, or even just not saved just a normal human being with normal sinful tendencies They will not be able to surpass this boundary this limitation that God has placed upon us as human beings Because we're talking about sins that are common to man Fornication though wicked is common to man Adultery though evil and wicked is common to man. In fact, even murder is common to man Theft common to man believe it or not idolatry is common to man But there are certain sins in the Bible that according to the Word of God is not common to man They're criminal. They're abominable and it requires someone who surpasses The limitations and the boundaries to be able to commit those particular sins, okay Now, what am I referring to? Well, let me just give you a short list here Bestiality Sodomy Incest pedophilia These sins are not common to man Look why I know someone who did it. Yes, because they surpassed the boundary But folks you can talk to a really a Person who's just a fornicator a theft. Yeah, even a murderer and you talk about those particular sins They're like, oh no, I would never do something like that though Because that's just like out there That requires someone who just like breaks through that boundary right because God has innately placed within us a limitation a moral limitation That we cannot surpass unless let me say this and not unless we break through that boundary, but unless God removes it for us So, what do you mean? Well, look at Romans chapter 1 verse 20 This is what's known as the reprobate doctrine Says for the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen Being understood by the things that are made even as eternal power in Godhead so that they are without excuse and it kind of gives us a chronology of how someone becomes this Boundary surpassing person known as a reprobate it says because that when they knew God verse 21 They glorified him not as God neither were thankful but became vain in their imaginations and their foolish heart was darkened Professing themselves to be wise they became fools and Changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man and to birds and four-footed beasts and creeping things so we see here that These people start off by knowing who God is. They know the gospel. They know who Jesus Christ is They know what salvation is. What do they do? They reject it and They end up creating a God in their own image, right? So they reject the Lord they change the glory of the uncorruptible God Into an idol and I want you to notice the result of that in verse 24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lust of their own hearts to dishonor their own bodies between themselves Who changed the truth of God into a lion worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator who's blessed forever. Amen verse 26 for this cause referring to verses 20 to 25 God gave them up to vile affections. We said well that could be anything. Well, it's gonna specify what that is For even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature Now another way of saying this is lesbianism When it says that these women Change the natural use the natural use of a woman is as the natural use of a man That a man is supposed to marry a woman They both come together and That is how God created it But when a woman changes that natural use, what do they do? They end up going with other women which according to the Bible is against nature It's unnatural against nature. Now you've surpassed the boundary because the limitation the boundary is man with a woman woman with a man Beyond the boundary is woman with a woman. This is called lesbianism. Okay? Verse 27 says and likewise also the men leaving the natural use of the woman Burn in their lusts one toward another men with men Working that which is unseemly and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error, which was me What is this referring to? This is referring to sodomites We would say in modern-day homosexuals okay, and So this is saying and by the way I want you to notice that the Bible tells us here that God is the one who gave him up to that So when a person Has the gospel Rejects the gospel hates the Lord creates a God in their own image is wise in their own conceits They dishonor God what happens? What is the result of that? God removes the moral boundary from that person and Now they're given over to these unclean acts. He said why would God do something like that as a punishment as a punishment And I want you to notice this verse 28 and even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge God gave them over to a reprobate mind to do those things which are not convenient so the specific title that God gives to these people is a reprobate mind meaning a rejected mind a mind that rejected the Lord Jesus Christ which resulted in God rejecting them So look when you see a blue-haired Sodomite Someone who's involved in open homosexuality They're burning in their lusts one toward another it's an indicator. They've been given over to that reprobate mind You ever meet a pedophile reprobate mind Bestiality reprobate mind Lesbianism sodomy bestiality pedophilia Reprobate mind these people have rejected the Lord and God has rejected them Now this is important to preach today Because today they want to normalize pedophilia Want to make fun of it they want to normalize it they want to introduce it to the society But folks that is a society that is breaking through the boundaries of God's Morality and is seeking to hate God and the result of that is that God is going to remove that moral boundary from the from those specific people and look Let me also say this is that we do not accept people who have surpassed this boundary in our church No pedophiles in our church We don't allow any pedophiles in our church. Why because a pedophile can harm children not can will harm children and You know you like what if you you know what if you vet them, and you know just do a background check well I got a better question. What if they're never caught? You really want to risk that Well, I feel like you're closing the doors to people who are in need well I'm actually opening the doors to the children the potential victims of those people Okay, and So what are these people these are people who have surpassed that boundary look you have temptations. I have temptations We all have normal temptations that people struggle with but let me say this not a single soul in this church has the temptation for pedophilia Not a single person in this church has a temptation for sodomy Now are there young people that just get confused because of the influence of Hollywood and their schools pumping you know LGBTQ Agendas down their throat day in and day out, and they're just brainwashed with that stuff obviously But you know what innately they know that it's wrong They know it's disgusting even though they think it's popular and in fact I've run into young people that I've talked to and I'm trying to give the gospel to and this girl's like well You know I'm actually LGBT You know HIQ whatever and elemental P and You know she's like. I'm actually you know. I'm a lesbian and and if she was like 14 15 years old and I said well. Do you burn your lust towards the same gender? She's like. I don't even know what that is I'm like are you in a relationship. She's like no, but that's how I identify. I don't even know what they're talking about It's just like a cool thing for them to do which it just blows my mind maybe because I'm a millennial This world is crazy. We're now. It's cool to be gay It's crazy And look I'm not advocating for this, but when I was in high school those people were bullied It was a shame To even talk about those things which are done to them in secret. That's what the Bible says But now it's just popularized. It's accepted, and you know what if the world wants to do that That's one thing, but churches should not Good why because we have the Bible we know what the Bible says about this and So when a person rejects the Lord Jesus Christ to the point where they begin to have hatred towards God There comes a point where God removes the moral boundary of their mind which ultimately Causes them or gives them unfettered access to desires that a normal human being would never have And along with that they're no longer able to believe Meaning that reprobates can't be saved Like I don't think that's right Well, here's the thing The Bible says that they don't want to retain God in their knowledge So let me ask you this how can a person get saved? If they don't even want to retain God in their knowledge Like what if they're truly seeking the Lord how if it says that they don't even want to retain God in their knowledge What if this person claims they want to retain God in their knowledge? Well, this is what I always tell people Thy testimony is the Lord on my delight of my counselors Let God be true and every man a liar Person can't get saved that they don't want to get saved my friends and the reprobate the sodomite Who does not want to get saved God just aids them in that by giving them that reprobate money This is important because we don't want to have a mixed up Christians in our church thinking like oh, you know A pedophile can get saved we can reform them folks. Even the unsaved world knows that they can't be reformed Even they know that can Christians start coming to grips with that, too, please Stop making excuses for these perverts You Know I have no mercy no love for people that hurt children For pedophiles for people that rape children and harm children. No love in my heart for people like that And you can condemn me for that. But would you hold on a second? I got a bunch of love for the other people. I Got a bunch of love for the victims. I got no love for pedophiles. No love for rapists No love for for sodomites for people who participate in bestiality. I got no love for them Why because they harm individuals and look Romans 1 is not the only chapter that deals with this You can do an entire Bible study of this Genesis 19 Judges 19 portions in Deuteronomy and in the historical books in the Kings and Of course, we have the New Testament right here and you can also read the book of Jude That highlights this very distinctly and explicitly shows us that these people are those who hate the Lord Okay Now thankfully, let me just say this I'll finish with this is that you and I if you're saved can never surpass that boundary We're never gonna it's never gonna happen There's not a single Christian who saved whoever be tempted by sodomy It's not possible Okay, I mean you don't even have to be saved not to be tempted with sodomy and I've read that article multiple times Where they did this study on men and they showed them an image of rotting flesh and it created this enzyme in their mouth that is associated with disgust like wanting to throw up and Then they showed them another image of a homosexual couple and it produced that same enzyme That made them want to throw up You know why because it's just natural that's what God gave us God gave us those enzymes God gave us that reflex What's that called? It's called the boundary So the first two points is me showing you how to surpass that boundary the last point is to show you how people surpass that boundary who are not saved and why they are the way they are and So what's the sermon this morning the sermon is simply this? Surpassing the boundaries of man's limitations. We all have to understand that we have limitations But just understand too that there is it's possible to surpass them to live forever by getting saved To live longer by living righteously and also by doing more for God by investing in the things of God and Sending it ahead so that when we're in heaven Stuff still happening here and we're still being rewarded for the things that are being accomplished and then ultimately Recognizing that there's people out there who've already surpassed the boundary that God has set forth and that's why they're reprobate Inspire heads and have a word of prayer father. We thank you so much for your word Thank you for the Bible. Thank you for the limitations that you have set within us Lord as human beings and as Christians I pray that you'd help us Lord To go beyond the boundaries that you set before us Lord as we depend on you as we live righteously as We seek to live righteously and seek to walk with you and obey your word win souls to Christ Lord Help us Lord to do all that we can To depend on the Lord Jesus Christ and your power because we know that we can do all things to Christ was strengthened with us May you bless us as we go on our way Lord. We love you. We thank you. Pray this things in Jesus name. Amen
