In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Amen. Tonight I'm preaching on the subject of the coronavirus. The coronavirus. Now, if you would turn in your Bible to Deuteronomy chapter number 28. Deuteronomy chapter number 28. Let me just tell you a little bit about the coronavirus if you haven't heard about it. It's a sickness that's been going around starting in China, and there are starting to be cases of it now in the United States, and so it's something that's kind of just been dominating the news lately. People are talking about it, people are thinking about it, they're worrying about it. Now, I'm not an expert on this. I'm not claiming to be an expert on the disease itself or on sickness in general, but I'm just here to give a biblical perspective. You know, I'm here to preach the Bible. We're going to look at some biblical principles tonight about this, but let me just tell you what I know from the research that I've done. What I looked at is that it looks like so far there have been a total of 88,000 cases of coronavirus so far, and over 3,000 people have died. So about half of those 88,000 people have already recovered and are fine, and then the other half are still sick, so you don't know if they're going to die, are they going to live, are they going to recover, whatever. So it seems like the death rate on this is somewhere around the neighborhood of like 3 or 4% of people who are getting it die, which is pretty high for a highly infectious disease. But also a thing to keep in mind is that no one under the age of 10 has died, and the numbers of deaths in the teens, 20s, 30s were very extremely low, so you're extremely unlikely to die if you're really young. The people who were having the most fatalities were the elderly, and also people with no preexisting conditions were very unlikely to die. It was mainly people who had heart disease, cancer, diabetes, other things that have weakened their body that have made them more susceptible to dying from something like this. So it's not something to panic over, I don't believe, or anything like that, but it is something that people are thinking about, it's on people's minds, and it may become a big epidemic in the United States. We don't really know yet that it's starting to pop up here and there, little isolated cases. Somebody at ASU had it. Obviously we have a lot of Chinese people at ASU and people that would travel from China, and I saw there was a case in Seattle, California, you know, just all over the place. So we don't really know at this point, is this just going to kind of peter out, or is this going to turn into a big epidemic in the United States? But obviously over in China it was a big epidemic where they quarantined the whole province with like 10 million people in it, and what have you. So let's get into some biblical principles about this. The first point that I want to make is that pestilence, sickness, disease, is sent as a punishment from God. Now this is not a popular opinion, but it's true. This is something that comes up as a theme over and over again in the Bible. And the Bible says in Amos chapter 3 verse 6, it says, Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? Shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it? You know, the Bible is telling us that when there's an evil in the city, the Lord hath done it. God sends bad things to punish the wicked, whether that be sickness or natural disasters, and there's a lot of scripture on this. Look down at Deuteronomy chapter 28 verse 20. The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou setth thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly, because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me. The Lord shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee. So he's saying, look, because of the wickedness of your doings, because you've forsaken me, the Lord shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until you have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it. The Lord shall smite thee with the consumption, and with the fever, with the inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew, and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. Now, of course, this sickness originated in China, and let me just be frank with you tonight. China is a wicked country, is a communist country, and is a country that by and large rejects the Lord Jesus Christ. You know, 73.5% of the people in China are either non-religious or pagan, 16% Buddhist, and only 2.5% of people in China claim to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and many of them are Catholic and other false pagan imitations of Christians. So, broad is the way that's leading to destruction over there in China. It is an ungodly, wicked country in the sight of God. So, it's not far-fetched to believe that a sickness over there is a punishment unto them, and I'm sure that they have many more punishments coming unto them in the future. They need to get right with God, just like everyone in the world needs to get right with God. Now, here's the thing. I'm not saying that every sickness that happens is a punishment from God. I'm not saying that every bad thing that happens is a punishment from God, because the Bible also teaches that sometimes the righteous will have bad things happen to them as a test or a trial or something just to refine them and make them a better person. And, of course, the whole book of Job deals with this. We have Job dealing with sickness. I mean, Job is covered with boils from head to foot. So, I'm not up here to be like a prosperity preacher telling you, hey, no virus shall affect you, you know, as long as you're covered in the blood. You know, I'm not up here preaching this kind of prosperity health and wealth gospel that if you're right with God, everything's going to go well for you, because the book of Job completely destroys that ideology and many other scriptures. You know, the apostle Paul had a thorn in his flesh. He besought the Lord three times that it would be taken away from him, and God did not take it away from him. God said, no, my grace is sufficient for you. And he told him that his strength was made perfect in weakness. And he wanted Paul to deal with that physical infirmity. So, a lot of times bad things happen to us for other reasons. Okay, but here's the key. How do we know whether something bad that happens is a punishment from God or whether it's testing and trials on the righteous? Folks, don't miss this. We know based on whether the person who is suffering is righteous. Okay, so don't sit there and say, oh, well, you know, these communist Buddhists, you know, God's not punishing them, read the book of Job. Are they Job? Are they Job? Is God working? Now, look, there could be some righteous, godly Christians over there, because, like, you know, every nation has godly people in it. Every nation has a righteous remnant, including China. Even in North Korea and even in places like Iran, there's a remnant. There are godly Christians there. So, look, if a godly Christian over there were to get it, then I would say, hey, God's allowing him to go through some testing. God's allowing him to go through affliction for his glory, for his name's sake. But when bad things happen to bad people, it's a judgment from God. So people try to make this more complicated than it is. Now, you say, well, isn't that convenient? You know, if the person's a good person, we're going to label it testing, and if the person's a bad person, we're going to label it a judgment from God. You got it right. It is quite convenient. But the reason why the Bible reads that way and the reason why reality is that way is because God doesn't want us to look at circumstances to figure out what's right and wrong. He wants us to look at the Bible to figure out what's right and wrong. He doesn't want us every time somebody gets sick. Oh, they did something bad. Or, you know, I lose some money. Oh, I'm being punished. Or, oh, look, I'm doing well. I just got a raise. Keep doing that. Folks, we don't go through our life looking at circumstances to figure out the will of God or to figure out what's right and wrong. We don't figure out what to do as a church based on circumstances. We go to the Bible, okay? So the only test for what is sinful and what is right is what the Bible says. That's the only test. That's the only test. Okay? So, look, if I'm serving God, following God, living for God, and I become ill, then I'm going to take comfort in the Book of Job. But if I'm out worshipping idols, committing sin, you know, doing all these really bad things, and then something bad happens, what am I going to say? I'm going to say, hey, God's punishing me. God's chastening me. This is the way the world works. And so make no mistake that pestilence is a judgment from God. It's crystal clear, right? You just write it there in Deuteronomy 28. Hey, you forsake me. I'm going to send these punishments, including disease, burning, inflammation, and so forth. And God has sent many diseases throughout history to punish many wicked nations and sinful nations that have gotten away from the Lord. So, number one, we just want to get this biblical principle that pestilence is a judgment from God. Number two, this is not the opening of the fourth seal of Revelation, okay? I've already had multiple people ask me, this is not in our church, but just people have messaged me or emailed me about this. Go to Revelation chapter 6. Anytime these things happen, people will try to start connecting it to the Book of Revelation. I remember when that volcano erupted in Iceland, and it created a big cloud, and planes couldn't fly for a couple of weeks. And, you know, everybody's like, this is when the, you know, the trumpet is blown, and the bottomless pit is opened, and the sun was darkened. Folks, you must think God's really exaggerating in the Book of Revelation a lot. If you think that these minor things are trumpets and vials and seals. Folks, you're not, when those things happen, people aren't going to be wondering. Hmm, I wonder if this could be. I mean, look what the Bible says in Revelation chapter 6, verse 8. And I looked, and behold, a pale horse, and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. So, when the Bible says here that power is given unto him over the fourth part of the earth, you know, one fourth of the earth. Now, this could be one fourth of the earth's geographical area, or it could be one fourth of the earth's population. The Bible's not super clear in this verse. But killing with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth, that's not coronavirus, okay? Because, first of all, what about the fact that it says sword, hunger, okay? The beasts of the earth. Those are things that aren't related to this disease, number one. But number two, once you get to this point here with the fourth seal, what about the first three seals? Those things haven't happened yet. You know, we don't see the Antichrist coming on the scene. We don't see with the second seal, the whole world being at war. Because the Bible says with the second seal, that power was given to him that sat on that horse to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another. And there was given unto him a great sword. And then the third seal involves famines. So, we're not seeing a world at war leading to widespread famine. So, obviously, no, this isn't the opening of the fourth seal. So, keep in mind that when the events of the end times begin to roll out, one of the first things that happens at the very beginning is that the whole world is at war. So, if we're not experiencing World War III, no, we're not in the tribulation because that's a major part of the tribulation is World War III or maybe World War IV, you know? Because we don't know if this is even going to happen in our lifetime. The events of the Book of Revelation might be a hundred years away. They could happen in our lifetime. They could happen 20 years from now. They could happen 200 years from now, okay? We can look at the signs of the times. We can speculate, but we don't know. But when we look at these minor things, and I'm not downplaying this, but it's relatively minor compared to the stuff we see in the Bible. I mean, the Bible is not kidding when it talks about, you know, one-third of the animals in the sea dying with the second trumpet being blown, or, you know, the third part of the fountains and rivers of the waters of the earth, you know, being made bitter and poisonous and people dying from contaminated water. You know, that stuff is really going to happen. I take a literal interpretation of those things. I think the Bible is clear that it's going to be a time of tribulation unlike anything the world's ever seen. And I think when God begins to pour out His wrath after the rapture, it's going to be unparalleled of anything that has been up to that point. So don't let these kind of prophecy mountebanks just come in and get you to click on their clickbait video. That's really what they're trying to do, like, oh, the fourth seal's already opened. You know, click here to find out who the Antichrist is and all this stuff. You know, people are always coming out with that kind of stuff. You know, they're liars. They have no integrity. They're not interested in actually studying the Bible and figuring out what it says. They want something sensational. They want to just come at you with some wild-eyed prediction about the year 2021 or 2023 or September 21st every single year or whatever. So don't get sucked into that and thinking this is the end or something. This isn't even close to being what it's going to be like in the end times. The end times are going to be a lot more intense. Okay, go to Leviticus chapter 13. So number one, yes, pestilence is always a judgment from God in my opinion. Any time a disease sweeps through an area, I believe that that's a judgment from God. Every time. Natural disasters, I believe, are a judgment sent from God. There's plenty of scripture to back that up. I've preached other sermons on that. But number two, no, I don't believe that this is the end of the world, end times. I don't believe this is even the beginning of... This isn't the birth pangs, you know, or the beginning of sorrows. No, these type of things happen all the time. I mean, haven't we heard about these before with the bird flu and SARS and, you know... And look, like I said, I don't know if this is going to be bigger or smaller. Who knows? But the principle still stands that number one, pestilence is a judgment from God. Number two, it's not the opening of the fourth seal. This is not the end of the world. We're not in the tribulation right now. Absolutely not. But number three, the next principle I want to give you on this subject is that the concept of quarantine is a biblical concept. You know, you hear a lot of people freaking out about quarantine or, like, thinking that quarantine is bad. But whatever you feel about this, quarantine is biblical. Now, look down, if you would, at Leviticus, chapter number 13. The Bible says in verse 4, If the bright spot... And this is the law regarding leprosy. If the bright spot be white in the skin of his flesh, and in sight be not deeper than the skin, and the hair thereof be not turned white, here's the key, then the priest shall shut up him that hath the plague seven days. What does that mean, to shut him up seven days? That means to quarantine him, to forcibly, basically, isolate him, and say, hey, you need to not go anywhere for seven days. You must be shut up. You must be quarantined, okay? Verse 5, the priest shall look upon him the seventh day, and behold, if the plague in his sight be it a stay, and the plague spread not in the skin, then the priest shall shut him up seven days more. I mean, this guy's getting quarantined for 14 days. So, like it or lump it, this is a biblical concept. So we don't want to just, you know, just rebel against this, or think that this is some horrible thing, or that the government is just trying to kill us all, or something, if they start talking about a quarantine, because a quarantine could be appropriate in certain situations. And by the way, here's just a general public service announcement in general in the spirit of God's word. You know, if your kids are sick, keep them home from church. I mean, don't bring your kids to church when they're sick, and then they spread disease to other kids, okay? Because we as adults, we typically don't really spread disease as much as children do. You know, children tend to get closer to each other, and get in each other's face, and just handle everything. Maybe they don't wash their hands as much. And so children spread a lot of germs. So if your kids are sick, don't bring them to church, in the spirit of quarantine, right? Keep them home, and bring them when they're well. And you know, thank God for the technology where you can livestream. Now look, I don't think it's right to just stay home and livestream the service, and skip church. But if you're sick, that's what it's for, amen? So that you can stay home, and get spiritually fed. Obviously there's nothing like actually coming to church, and fellowshipping, and singing, and being here. But if you're sick, don't come to church, and spread your germs to everyone else, okay? So I'm not going to go through all this, but literally quarantine is mentioned in Leviticus 20-13, in verses 4, 5, 11, 21, 26, 31, 30, 50, and 54. So it's mentioned like almost 10 times in this passage, the concept of someone being shut up, which is the Bible's way of saying that they are isolated, or that they are quarantined, because they have a highly infectious disease. In this case, leprosy, okay? Number 4, and if you would turn to 1 Corinthians chapter 6. Point number 4 is that vaccines are not biblical. Don't take the vaccine. Don't take the vaccine, all right? Now, there are people, when they hear about a human tragedy, like 3,000 people dead from coronavirus, because that's the death toll right now. It's over 3,000. That's a lot of people that died. There are some people, when they hear about 3,000 people dying, when they hear about tens of thousands of people that are severely sick, because about 20% of people who get this virus get very sick. They get severely sick. So it's not just death you have to worry. Obviously, you don't want to get severely sick either, right? 80% of people, they get through it like a cold, or a flu, or whatever, and they're okay. No big deal. 20% get seriously sick, and then, like I said, around 3, 4% are going to die from it, okay? And I explained the risk factors earlier. But there are people, when they hear about a human tragedy like this, instead of having compassion, instead of praying for people, instead of wanting to take biblical measures to try to improve things, you know what they're thinking is just money. Money. I was over at somebody's house a few days ago, and there was like a financial channel playing on their TV. It was like a Wall Street channel or something. Channel 200 and whatever. You know, there's so many channels now. There's like a whole Wall Street channel or something, and it had all these tickers everywhere in the stock market, in real time and everything. And this guy was on there. He was some kind of an expert of finances, and he's like, this is literally what he said. He said, well, you know, I mean, this is a tragedy, but, you know, man, I've been able to get some great deals on stocks. I'm buying this. I'm buying that. He's just like talking about how he's, you know, it is a humanitarian crisis, but I'm profiting. People need to jump on this opportunity to get in and make some money. You can buy this. You can buy that. You know, and, of course, everybody's running the ads, trying to sell you those face masks, even though that's not even necessarily, you know, the thing that's really just going to make or break you, that surgical mask. But, you know, somebody just wants to make money off this. And let me tell you who really wants to make money off this. The vaccines, big pharma, right? I mean, when they make a vaccine like this, and then here's what they do. They're in bed with the politicians. Then they get the politicians to pay for it. You know, they're already talking, oh, we need billions of dollars so that we can give it all out for free. Nothing's free. It's at the tax dollars expense. Big pharma laughs all the way to the bank, okay? That's why there are states where it's mandatory to get the HPV vaccine when you're an 11-year-old or whatever, you know, so you can be vaccinated against something that is a result of STDs when you're 11 years old and every single student in the state has to get it. Why? Because some pharmaceutical company is wining and dining some politician to make it mandatory and then they charge a fortune for it and they make billions. Folks, the love of money is the root of all evil. The love of money is the root of all evil. And so you're going to have people that all they're thinking about right now, they're not thinking about people's souls. They're not thinking about winning people to Christ. They're not thinking about praying that God's wrath would be held back. You know, if pestilence is a judgment from God, then wouldn't it make more sense to pray like an intercessory prayer, like, oh, God, be merciful to China, right? You say, well, you don't love China. You preach hard against China. I preach hard against China because I do love. Okay, the people who love you tell you the truth and they warn you about sin and wickedness that's going to destroy you, okay? You know, rebuking is often done in love, all right? And so instead of praying intercessory prayer for the people of our nation or the people of China, you know, what are they doing? They're basically saying, how can I make money off of this? And vaccines are not effective and they're not safe and they're not biblical, okay? And there's plenty of information out there. I'm not up here to give you a big seminar on vaccines. There's plenty of resource material out there, documentaries, information. You can do the research. You can read the package inserts. But I'll just give you, and there have even been some biblical sermons preached on vaccines. You know, Pastor Mejia has preached some sermons. Pastor Jimenez has preached some sermons. And, you know, I agree with these men and what they've preached. And just to give you a few thoughts, you know, the Bible says who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one. And, you know, when you look at how these vaccines are made and the junk that they have in them, they've got all kinds of mercury, thimerosal, preservatives. They're made on animal feces. They're splicing, you know, human and animal tissue and DNA. And, frankly, they are cultured on the backs of aborted fetuses. You know, fetuses are aborted in the process of developing these vaccines. And, again, I'm not up here to give you a science lecture. I'm neither qualified to do that, nor is it my place here in this sermon. I'm here to preach the Bible. But there's plenty of information out there, and that's what I believe. And I believe that Scripture teaches us to touch not the unclean thing, not to inject poison into our bodies and inject live viruses and inject fecal matter and aborted fetuses into ourselves so that we can somehow, you know, boost our immunity. Folks, this is a scam that makes people billions of dollars. And you know what? I personally, personally have known several people who are vaccine damaged. Okay. Okay. And I'm thinking of four, five, six instances just off the top of my head. And I'm sure if I thought on it, I might even think of more. And I'll bet some of you know someone who's had some kind of a reaction. Put it in your head if you've known someone who's had a severe reaction, illness, or death as a direct result of vaccines. Look, a good friend of mine, his son, takes him in to get a vaccine. Within hours, he's having a horrible asthma attack and almost dies. Then he takes him back a couple weeks later for the next round of vaccines. Same thing happens a couple hours after he gets the next round of vaccines and almost dies. I've known other people who have permanent damage, you know, autism. I mean, you name it. It's out there. And so don't take the vaccine. It's not a biblical concept. You know, the Bible says they that behold need not a physician but they that are sick. You know, the Bible talks about staying clean, knowing the difference between clean and unclean. Bathe your flesh in water and so forth. He teaches sanitation. He doesn't teach, like, indulge in sickness to build your immunity. That's not how you build your immunity. Now, the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6, 19, what? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own, for you are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. So number one, pestilence is a judgment from God. Number two, this is not the opening of the fourth seal or the end of the world or the end times or anything like that. Number three, quarantine is a biblical concept. Number four, vaccines are not biblical and there are already 20 vaccines in development right now. Twenty different people are competing to make the vaccine. I'm not taking any of it. I will not take it. And I don't vaccinate my children either, by the way. My only child that is vaccinated at all is my firstborn. You make all the mistakes on your first kid. That's why they get the double portion of the inheritance, to make up for the fact that you did all the wrong things with them. So, you know, because you get smarter as you're raising the kids. So he's the only one that got any vaccines and he only got a little bit and then we learned about it and put a stop to it. Now, look, if you're for vaccines, that's okay. You know, this is not a cult where we dictate how you live your life. Look, just vaccinate the fire out of your kid, you know, if that's what you believe. But I'm just up here telling you what I believe and what the Bible teaches in my view. And if you walk away saying, well, no, I think you're wrong, Pastor. I'm going to vaccinate my kids, that's fine. So when I get up and preach something, I don't want you to think that I'm dictating that to you as how to live your life. I'm just up here, you know, speaking the truth and the word of God and you can take and do what you want with it. And if what I'm saying is not biblical, then disregard it and do what you believe is right, okay? Because at the end of the day, you're not accountable to me, you're really accountable to the Lord Jesus Christ. And really, it's your life, it's your body, it's your children. And so it would behoove you to do your own research and do your own due diligence on these things and not just blindly believe whatever I say anyway. But number five, I would say this, you know, when something like this is on the horizon, I'll tell you what I would do to prepare. I would just work on building my immunity in general and my general health. You know, if I'm looking at a sickness that spreads like wildfire and, you know, 96, 97% of people are going to survive, 3, 4% of people are going to die from it, you know, then I would do everything I could in my power to just not be one of those 3 or 4% by making sure I'm as healthy as possible. You know, if this is a disease that's going to hit you in the lungs, well, then probably having healthy lungs is a good idea right now. Eating nutritious foods, you know, getting your vitamins and minerals and eating healthy food is going to be something that's going to make you one of the people that survives versus the people who die because their body is so compromised from an unhealthy lifestyle. The Bible says that our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. We should treat it with respect. We should glorify God in our body and in our spirit, which are gods. They both belong to God. And the way I look at it is this, you know, if I rent a car, I don't have the right to just trash that rental car, okay? That car belongs to someone else. I'm supposed to turn it in in a reasonable condition of how I received it, right? Well, guess what? This body that I'm in right now is a rental car. It doesn't belong to me. My body is not my own. I'm bought with a price. And by the way, I wouldn't just take a rental car and just take it and add some pinstriping to it. You know, add like kind of a sporty stripe to the side. I don't think the rental car company is going to think that's cool. And you know what? That's what you're doing when you tattoo your body, by the way. You know, it doesn't belong to you to just decorate it and make yourself look like a pagan or a cannibal, right? So don't modify your body like that. Don't mistreat your body. It's a biblical principle to take care of your body. So the Bible says in Proverbs 21, 31, and if you would, turn back to Genesis chapter 1. In Proverbs 21, 31, the Bible says, the horse is prepared against the day of battle, but safety is of the Lord. Ultimately, we're relying on the Lord to keep us safe, right? At the end of the day, praying and trusting the Lord is what we're ultimately relying on in any situation to keep us safe, whether we're driving on the road or whether it's just everyday illnesses and diseases. Whatever the case may be, we're trusting the Lord for our safety and health. But the Bible says the horse is prepared against the day of battle, but safety is of the Lord. So just because safety is of the Lord doesn't mean that we shouldn't prepare ourselves and take care of ourselves. It doesn't mean that we can just say, well, we don't need a wall around the city. We've got the Lord to protect us. Well, they still built that wall in the book of Nehemiah, didn't they? And you don't just say, well, the Lord's going to protect me, so I don't need to have any soldiers. I don't need to have horses. I don't need to have chariots. Look, the great kings in the Old Testament who were doing right in the sight of the Lord, they built up an army to defend, and they had horses and chariots. And obviously they were supposed to do it a certain way according to God's commandments, but God still had them raise an army at times and go out and defend and so forth. So the horse is prepared against the day of battle, but safety is of the Lord. So just because we're trusting in the Lord doesn't mean that we just basically just go to McDonald's and Burger King and Jack in the Box and just eat a bunch of junk food and just soda with every meal, and then we're basically just like, hey, my health is coming from the Lord. I'm trusting the Lord for my health. Pass the Kool-Aid and pass the soda and pass the hydrogenated oils and the trans fats because you know what? Hey, I'm just relying on God for my health. That's ridiculous because you should take steps to be as healthy as you can. Now, when it comes to our diet, I think this is one of the most important things. You are what you eat. And when it comes to your health and your immunity, diet is everything. Now, that's not what the World Health Organization is going to tell you. That's not what the doctors even typically are going to tell you. Typically, you go to the doctor and they just want to fix problems and here's a drug, here's this and that. They don't typically put a lot of stock in nutrition as being the answer. Now, sometimes they do. But I'm telling you, what you eat has a huge determination on how healthy you are. And sometimes I look at the way people eat, I can't believe that they're still alive. They're like a walking miracle because it's supernatural that they're even alive. Because you see, it's like they never eat any fruits and vegetables and they're just constantly eating fast food and junk food and drinking all the diet sodas and everything. And it's just mind-blowing. But our bodies can take a lot of abuse, can't they? But when you're already just giving your body a beating every day with the junk food and then the coronavirus comes in, you know what I mean? You're already down for the count and then the coronavirus is just like, finish him. You're done. It's over. So you want to build up your immunity and your general health so that you're robust enough to handle these kind of shocks to the system like a coronavirus. Now, I'm not into fad diets. There are all kinds of eating trends that are constantly changing and they'll be literally the opposite of one another. They'll be telling you, oh man, what we said 20 years ago, it's actually the opposite of that. And so nutrition is one of those things where if you talk to 10 different people, you're going to get 10 different answers. So me personally, I try to just avoid extremes. I don't do the fad diets. I don't do anything radical with my diet. My principle that I live by is just eat the food that God made, not the food that's artificial. Eat what God made. The Bible says in Genesis 1, verse 29, and God said, Behold, I have given you every herb-bearing seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree in which is the fruit of a tree-yielding seed, to you it shall be for meat. And to every beast of the earth, and every fowl of the air, and to everything that creepeth upon the earth wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat, and it was so. Meat there just simply means food. He's saying, look, I've given you plants for your food. I've given you fruits. I've given you the herbs, the vegetables, and so forth. Now go to Genesis, chapter 9. Genesis, chapter 9, just a few pages to the right in your Bible, Genesis 9, verse 3 says, Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you, even as the green herb have I given you all things. So it's not just the green herb that we eat. It's not just fruits and vegetables that we eat. But we also eat the flesh of every moving thing that liveth. You know, we also eat animals, right? We also eat meat. Verse 4, But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. So we eat meat. We eat fruits. We eat vegetables. We eat the things that God made. You know, we just want to stay away from the artificial ingredients, okay? Because what's better, what God made or what man made? Well, God looked upon everything that he made in Genesis 1 and he said, Behold, it was very good. So am I going to eat butter or am I going to eat margarine? Margarine is some kind of a chemical junk made in a laboratory made by a scientist. It's not real food. You know, butter is the real food, okay? And, you know, whether it's bread or whether it's meat or whether it's fruits and vegetables, we want the food to be as close to the way God made it as possible and not as artificial and tampered with, okay? So look, and I'm for eating all kinds of food. I'm for eating the animal products. I'm for eating the fruits and vegetables and the grains. But we want to stay away from that which is genetically modified, right? Because we want to eat it the way God made it. Who do you think knows better, God or the people who are tampering with the DNA and tampering with the genes of the food? I don't trust that. There's all kind of unintended consequences when you start tampering and modifying genetically. So go for that which is GMO-free and eat stuff that's organic if you can or at least, you know, healthy, local, whatever you can do to eat the cleanest food that you can possibly eat because that's going to help you be healthier. You know, there's nothing wrong with eating an apple a day to keep the doctor away, all right? An apple, I try to every single day. Every single day I try to eat an apple, an orange, and a banana every single day. And then not only that, I'll eat a few other, you know, fruit and vegetable servings throughout the day. But that's just like my baseline. I just grab an apple, an orange, and a banana and just eat those every afternoon just to make sure at least that's a minimal fruit intake coming in. And I eat all the animal products too. You know, I eat with the best of them, all right? I eat a lot of meat and yogurt and stuff like that. So work on your immunity and your general health. You know, and it wouldn't hurt you to get out and get some exercise too if this disease is something that's harmful to your lungs because from what I read, it's a type of pneumonia that you get hit with. Well then, you know, I'd want to make sure that my cardio is in place so that I have strong lungs and a strong heart. And these are things that are just good to do anyway because our body is the temple of the Holy Ghost and we don't want to abuse our bodies and just become just slobs and lazy and gluttons. And I know this isn't a popular subject to preach on, but it's something that we need to hear, something we need to think about because, man, it's a battle in our society. And look, I'm not up here to just talk about how perfect I am because let me tell you, I committed some real dietary sins this week because I was traveling all week, I was down on the Indian Reservation and then I went straight to the Sacramento, San Francisco events. And you know how it is when you're on these events. I mean, you're just eating whatever, you're just grabbing whatever, you know. And I mean, I ate the donuts and the pizza and, you know, all kinds of stuff. So, and I ate a lot of vegetables dipped in cheese dip, all right. But the point is, you know, I'm not up here saying I'm perfect on this. All of us struggle with this just because our society makes it so easy to eat junk and it also makes it so easy to just sit on our butts all day. You know, it's just so easy. We've got the car and we've got our job sometimes where it's all being done by technology and we're, you know, we just kind of push a button and just kind of sit back all day and let it happen. So we need to make sure that we take care of our bodies. And you know, when I get up here and preach about this stuff, it's not because I'm just trying to, you know, beat you up a little bit or something. It's because I love you. Look, I know that if you hear these sermons and eat healthier food, you're going to have a better quality of life. You're going to feel better. You're going to be happier. You're going to be able to go soul-winning more. You're going to be able to do the works for God. You're going to be able to raise your family and work hard at your job. Okay, you're not going to be going to the hospital all the time, you know, like you would have been if you would have just completely abused your body. I believe that. I don't believe that these things just are random, you know. I think there's a lot we can do to take care of ourselves. And so I'm preaching this because I want it to be on your mind because I love you and I don't want you to suffer needlessly, you know. Look, if I'm going to suffer, if you're going to suffer, let us suffer for Christ. You know, let's suffer for Christ. Let's not suffer for Krispy Kreme. You know what I mean? Or let's not suffer because it was just so good, you know, and we just had to get that biggie size whatever. You know, learn the virtues of drinking water and eating clean food, okay. And you know what? I've got a major sweet tooth. You've got to learn to just when you have that sweet tooth to reach for the apple, the banana, and the orange. Kind of take the edge off a little bit, all right. So number one, we said, yes, this is a judgment from God. Number two, it's not the end of the world. It's not the opening of the fourth seal. You know, no offense to the people who wondered that, but that is a silly question because it's so far from the truth, okay. You need to watch the Revelation series and call me in the morning, all right, because you're not even close, all right. If you think that this is the fourth seal, you're not even at kindergarten in Bible prophecy, okay. Number three, quarantine is biblical. Number four, vaccines are not biblical. Don't take the vaccine. And again, I say that because I don't want to see you get hurt. I don't want to see your kids get hurt. I don't, you know, I don't want to see that suffering. Number five, work on your immunity and your general health. Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost. Eat well. Be healthy. Get exercise. Eat the fruits and vegetables. Get sun. By the way, the sun is good for you, too. The Bible says it's good to behold the sun, right. Get out in the sun. Get the vitamin D. And then lastly, number six, and this is really the most important thing, pray and seek God right now. Now, when things like this are on the horizon, who do we turn to? Where do we turn? Oh, man, we got to follow everything in the news, and we got to follow every twist and turn. And these are the times when we need to reflect and turn to God. That's what we ought to be doing. That's what everybody, that's what people in China ought to be doing. That's what people in the U.S. ought to be doing. Now is the time to seek God. I always like this verse. Turn to Job chapter 41. This is a verse that I have always found to be kind of funny. It's a great verse. Job chapter 41. We should seek God when bad things are on the horizon, when there are terrors taking hold or when there are rumors of wars or, you know, whatever the bad thing that's coming into our life, it should always drive us to seek God. You know, we should seek God in the good times, and we should seek God in the bad times. And this is the time to pray and seek God when this is happening right now. Okay? And encourage other people to do the same thing. I like this verse. It's about the fearsome creature Leviathan. Okay? And I believe that Behemoth and Leviathan are extinct animals. Okay? And these are what we would know today as dinosaurs, where these are gigantic creatures that existed in the past. They're now extinct. And yes, they existed on this earth with mankind. The Bible's clear. The Bible already talked about these thousands of years ago, even though they didn't begin to be dug up until the 1800s. They were already predicted in the Bible thousands of years ago because the Book of Job was written, we don't know exactly when, but approximately 3,000 years ago, the Book of Job was written, and it talks about these great beasts. And I love this verse. It says in verse 25, speaking of this scary creature Leviathan, this gigantic beast that's so formidable that men would just be terrified and scared by this thing, it says in verse 25, when he raiseth up himself, the mighty are afraid. I love the second half of the verse. By reason of breakings, they purify themselves. They purify themselves. So in response to them being terrified by this thing, what do they do? They purify themselves. You know, they get right with God. I love that phrase, how they purify themselves. And you know what reminds me of the Book of Job? Excuse me, we're in the Book of Job. Job doesn't remind me of Job. Job reminds me of Jonah because in the Book of Jonah, when they're on the ship and there's a big storm and they're afraid the ship is going to break apart, what do they say? They say, we've got to cry unto God. And then once they're delivered from the storm, they make offerings and sacrifices to God. So notice how in the storm, they're seeking God. They weren't seeking God before that storm. Before that storm, who knows what they're doing. Whatever sailors do, they're just partying and having a good old time. But then when that storm came in, all of a sudden they're seeking God. You know, as they say, there are no atheists and foxholes, right? Because when bad things are happening, when people are at the point of death, man, they purify themselves. They seek God. And so I don't know if this coronavirus is a big thing, if it's a small thing. I don't know if it's going to spread into a big epidemic or if it's going to peter out, but you know what? It never hurts to pray and seek God right now in light of these things. And this should cause us to just pray. And this could just be an impetus to us praying and just getting on our knees, thanking God for the good health that we have and praying to God that we would be spared and praying to God for the people that are sick right now because there are approximately 42,000 people that are currently sick with this. They're currently battling this. You know, why not pray that this would drive them to seek Christ? Because I bet they're thinking about death right now, some of them. Some of them are thinking, I wonder if I'm going to be that statistic. You know, I've had heart disease. I've had cancer. I've had diabetes. I'm in that, you know, 60 to 69 age bracket. You know, hopefully this would be a time when a lot of people would think about their mortality and seek the Lord and be saved. You know, why don't we pray for that? Why don't we pray that the victims of coronavirus seek after Christ and get saved? Why don't we pray that some soul winner would knock their door but not get too close? Or that they'd go online and that they would, you know, seek out the Bible way to heaven or whatever, right? And that they would find Christ before it's eternally too late and just pray that our church and that our family would be spared from this. None of us want to get this. You know, I've been sick too many times. You know, I already got my sickness for this year, thank you very much. And I don't want to get another one. Don't you hate that double dip season? You know, I mean, I've just come to grips with the fact I'm going to get sick every year. Every single year it happens where I get either the cold or the flu and it nails me and I'm sure somebody's going to come up to me after the service and tell me some vitamin or I'll never happen again. But when you have 11 kids, you know, a lot of germs come at you. And so I get sick every year, but man, I don't want to get sick a second time or a third time. So, you know, what do we do? We pray. You know, we should pray to God. And look, praying's not just an exercise. Praying actually affects things. You have not because you ask not. And so now is the time to seek God and pray. In addition to just taking care of your immunity and working on your general health, that's the horse prepared against the day of battle. And then there's praying about it. That's safety is of the Lord. Let's bow our heads and have a word of prayer. Father, we thank you so much for your word, your provision, your protection. Lord, thank you that we don't live in China because, Lord, we're thankful that we don't live in a communist country. We're thankful that we don't live in a country filled with poverty and sickness and human suffering. We thank you that we weren't born in a country where, you know, 75% of people are pagan, 15% are Buddhist, and where Islam or some other religion outnumbers Christianity. Lord, thank you for allowing us to be in the United States of America where we've heard the Gospel so many times and we're saved. We have a good church to go to. We have financial prosperity, cleanliness, sanitation. Lord, thank you for all the blessings that we have, Lord. Help us to appreciate them every day. And, Lord, I just pray for all the victims of the coronavirus, Lord. I know that a lot of people are suffering right now and they're scared, Lord. I pray that you'd be merciful to them and help them to survive, especially if they're not saved, Lord. I pray that they would survive and I pray that this would drive them to be saved and that they would, Lord, that they would hear the Gospel, whether they hear it over the Internet or whether they hear it in person from friends, family, loved ones, Lord. I just pray that every single person who has the coronavirus right now would get saved before it's too late and that this would be instrumental in maybe removing some obstacles to them being saved. Maybe they've thought that they're going to live a long time and they're not worried about these things and maybe this will shake them up a little bit and cause them to think about their mortality, Lord. We just pray that they wouldn't hear some lying false doctrine, Lord, but that they would actually hear the right Gospel when they start talking to people, friends, family, or doing the online search, Lord. Please lead them to a clear presentation of the Gospel that they might be saved. And, Lord, help us to continue to witness to people and spread the Gospel and to do our part.
