All right, we're here in Genesis chapter 3 and the name of the sermon is how the birth of Jesus Christ disproves modern-day Judaism how the birth of Jesus Christ disproves modern-day Judaism and we have here in Genesis 3 verse 15 this verse where it says and I'll put enmity between thee and the woman and Between thy seed and her seed it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel And this is really the first hint of the birth of Jesus Christ found And in fact in one of our common Christmas hymns hark the herald angels sing on the fourth line It says come desire of nations come fixing us thy humble home rise the woman's conquering seed Bruise in us the serpent's head and that's clearly a reference to Genesis chapter 3 verse 15 Which we just read and the idea here is as he's talking to the devil He says thy seed and her seed and her seed is a reference to Jesus Christ And it says at the end here it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise his heel so according to that the devil will bruise the heel of Jesus and Jesus will bruise the head of the serpent you say well, what does that mean? Why does it say head and heel? Well when it says he's gonna bruise the heel of Jesus when you think about sports injuries What is the worst one that you can have pretty much? tearing your Achilles Right it's far worse than tearing your ACL I had surgery for a torn ACL and torn meniscus, and I was running less than six months after the surgery But if you turn your Achilles you're gonna be lucky to be walking six months after the surgery It's pretty much you retire as a pro athlete at least in the past tearing your Achilles That's why even in Greek mythology They call the character Achilles where he gets shot with the arrow and dies because that's like the worst injury you can have Here's the difference though if you get a good bruise to the head. You don't just get injured and retire you die So basically the idea is you know Jesus is gonna bruise your head. It's like BAM. You know you're done, right? Whereas you know bruising your heel is very painful and obviously the death of Jesus Christ was very painful But then of course he rose again three days later. Go to Isaiah 7 Isaiah 7 Isaiah chapter 7 When it comes to the birth of Jesus which is what we celebrate at Christmas disproving modern-day Judaism and I say modern-day Judaism because what Moses believed is the same as what we believe What Ezra and Isaiah and Jeremiah and Elijah and Elisha and all those characters in the Old Testament? What they believed is the same thing that we believe we're just on the other side of history from this moment of Jesus Christ living But they believe the same thing same religion as us modern-day Judaism is not what the Old Testament teaches It is not what the Old Testament is about and the birth of Jesus. I'm going to give you three points of how it disproves Modern-day Judaism and it starts with number one the virgin birth the fact that Jesus was born of a virgin it disproves modern-day Judaism Isaiah 7 verse 14 Therefore the Lord Himself shall give you a sign behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Emmanuel and the Bible says that God is going to give us a sign He's going to give us an event a miracle that takes place that is going to prove. You know who the Messiah is Something that's beyond just an easy to explain situation But he gives a sign he gives a proof and of course, what is it? It's the fact that a virgin would conceive you say why is that a sign or a proof because that's impossible It's not medically scientifically or logically possible for a virgin to conceive Right, but that is exactly what took place with the birth of Jesus Christ Go to Matthew 1 where this is quoted Matthew 1 Matthew chapter 1 Verse 23, it says behold a virgin shall be with child and shall bring for the son and they shall call his name Emmanuel which being interpreted is God with us and so this is referencing isaiah 7 verse 14 It's quoting from it and his name is you know shall be called Emmanuel and interpreted God with us now Here's the thing if you lived before the time of Jesus Christ You know you come across isaiah 714 and it was a very famous scripture It was a scripture that was known but it was probably a scripture that caused a lot of confusion for those before the time of Jesus Christ There's probably believe in Christians Matthew one quotes from isaiah 7 and it's very easy to say well There's the fulfillment right there a virgin shall conceive. Give me another example of that and there's a very easy way to do that There's the fulfillment right there a virgin shall conceive. Give me another example of that and there is none. I mean, it's a very clear proof of Jesus Christ and disproving Judaism you say well Why does this disprove modern-day Judaism because modern-day Judaism does not believe in isaiah 714? They don't believe that the Messiah is going to be born of a virgin They just say it's a mistranslation They don't believe in isaiah 714 They can't explain it away. So well, it's just a mistranslation Right, and then what modern-day Judaism teaches is that Mary was not a virgin but that she committed adultery with a man by the name Of Pantera and Jesus is the son of Pantera That's why that famous rock band called themselves Pantera because they blaspheme and hate God Right, but that's what modern-day Judaism teaches that Jesus was not born of a virgin and above that the Messiah is not gonna be born Of a virgin that's impossible and that never will take place and it's just a mistranslation of isaiah 714. In fact, here's an article From a Jewish website and here's what they say many Christians and professional missionaries like to quote the following verse as a proof text Behold the Lord himself will give you a sign a virgin shall conceive and bear a son and she shall call his name Immanuel So far, they're correct a lot of Christians and professional missionaries. We quote that verse Are there differences between Christianity and Judaism? Let's find out they claim referring to Christians that this passage Prophesized the miraculous virgin birth of the Messiah and that Jesus is the only one who could have fulfilled it Once again guilty as charged. That's exactly what we're saying, right? They also point out that the name Immanuel literally means God is with us and use this as a proof of the divine nature of this Individual once again, yes, that's exactly what we're saying But then it says this the New Testament book of Matthew recounts the genealogy of Jesus starting from Abraham and ending with Joseph the husband of Mary it claims Parentheses Matthew 1 verses 18 through 25, which we'll look at in a second Though when they were betrothed and had not yet consummated their marriage Joseph discovered that Mary's was with child and still a virgin Okay, I mean I agree with that they were married already they had legally gotten married but you know marriage customs are different in different parts of the world Obviously what's taking place is they officially get married, but he's probably saving up money, you know as his wife's gonna stay home So he's working extra hours or whatever and so in parts of the world It can be like that where you legally get married But you're not yet living together at that time and it might be a time period later That seems to be what's taking place with Joseph and Mary, but they're officially married But they have not yet come together as husband and wife yet. Okay? then it says He discovers that as his wife Mary is with child and still a virgin, okay? Not wanting to disgrace her he planned to put her away secretly put her away is a term for divorce It is a biblical term to put somebody away And it says only Afterwards as the gospel claim that an angel comes and informs Joseph that this event is the fulfillment of the prophecy in Isaiah now they're a bit misleading with this because you have to understand that in Matthew you get the perspective of Joseph and Luke you get the perspective of Mary the angel comes to Mary Before the events are taking place when Joseph finds out about it. They're not living near each other. So what's taking place is Mary cannot call up Joseph and say hey, I just talked to an angel I'm a child of the Holy Ghost and so basically Joseph finds out from other people and What's the first thought you're gonna have if you know, you're not the father and your wife is with child You're gonna assume that she was with some other guy That's what anybody would think Right, you cannot blame Joseph and say wow, you know, he should have known I mean, how would he have known of course? That's what he's going going to assume right and then says this The it says The this entire story is extremely puzzling and a major question begs to be answered if the prophecy in Isaiah 714 is so clear and fundamental to the coming of the Messiah Why was Joseph a descendant of King David totally oblivious to it? Once again, he's not oblivious to it I'm sure that he knew the scripture, but no, that's not the first thought that came to his mind No guy, would that be their first thought? Okay, then it says this Upon discovering that his virgin wife was with child. He should have jumped for joy That this may be the precursor to the arrival of the Messiah instead. He expects and suspects her of infidelity of Committing adultery. I mean look as a guy put yourself in this situation You get married legally and you're waiting to be with your wife and all of a sudden you hear out from a lot of different people She's pregnant and you live during this time period and you know, Isaiah 7 verse 14 Is your first reaction gonna be like yes, that's awesome. I mean, come on. That's ridiculous The first thought you're gonna think is that she cheated on you And of course Joseph is puzzled because he knew Mary to be a very godly woman, which she was And he's he's thinking about these things. He's wondering about these things and look I'm sure he knew the scripture Isaiah 7 14 It doesn't mean he fully knew when that was gonna take place or how that was gonna take place I mean, obviously it makes sense to us today But pre Jesus Christ, it's a verse. I mean, there's a lot of things in Isaiah I read and I'm kind of like Not very sure how to interpret it Looking back. It's very easy But to suggest that Matthew one doesn't make sense actually it makes perfect sense That's the exact reaction you'd expect of a godly man if he found out his wife was with child and he wasn't the father Right, nothing, you know confusing about that. That's exactly what I would expect where he's like basically I've been waiting You know for a godly woman I thought she was godly and now all of a sudden she's with child from somebody else and he's very upset and he even does Respectful thing because he's gonna put it away privately or quietly right? Let's look at Matthew one. Let's look at the story verse 18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise which means in this manner When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph before they came together She was found with child of the Holy Ghost. It does not say that they're engaged It says they're a spouse think of the word spouse Cut off the first letter E and cut off the last letter D and you've got spouse they were married They were husband and wife But legally they had not yet come together as husband and wife. Okay verse 19 And here's the thing when it comes to the grounds for a biblical divorce The only grounds given is this sort of specific situation where you legally get married and you're not yet together Obviously a very unique situation This is a legal grounds for getting a divorce Okay Verse 19 then Joseph her husband being a just man and not willing to make her a public example was minded to put her away Privately, so basically he's just gonna divorce her and say you know what? I don't want to be married to her because I thought she was godly and then all of a sudden she was with some other Guy and she's gonna have a child and look obviously That's not what he's gonna be wanting right verse 20 But while he thought on these things because whenever you make big decisions, you ought to think about it behold the angel of the Lord appeared unto him a dream saying Joseph thou son of David fear not to take unto thee marry thy wife for that which is conceived in hers of the Holy Ghost and She shall bring forth a son and thou shalt call his name. Jesus pre shall save his people from their sins now all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophets saying Behold a virgin shall be with child and shall bring for the son and they shall call his name Emmanuel which being interpreted as God with us and look I'm sure that when the angels telling this to Joseph He's thinking all from the book of Isaiah. I Get it now now the the chapters and verses are a more modern thing, but I'm sure he's saying man the book of Isaiah This is the prophecy. You know, my wife was not, you know with some other guy It's like she's with child of the Holy Ghost now that makes sense Right as a bible-believing Christian. This is not confusing. It is a miraculous event And no matter how godly you are as a guy Best case scenario is you handle it like Joseph where you assume she must have cheated on you But you know you you think about these things you don't want to embarrass her Then the angel comes you and says actually she's with child of the Holy Ghost Now here's the thing Judaism though they say isaiah 7 verse 14 is a mistranslation as a bible-believing Christian it says a sign is going to be given on a Miraculous event a sign as a proof and a virgin births a pretty good proof, isn't it? Well Judaism says that virgins should should say young woman Let me ask you a question. Is it a proof or a sign if a young woman gives birth to a child? I Mean young women give birth to children all the time Look and obviously this varies depending on the woman, but I'm sure there's women that have given birth before they're teenagers It's not a sign that a young woman gives birth and I would assume I don't know how old Mary is I guess 16 would be I guess I really don't know but it's just like as I do believe that she's young Maybe she's older, but here's the thing. That's not a miraculous event That a young woman gives birth to a child Young women give birth to children all the time. I Had statistics from going way back here in the Philippines I mean, there's a lot of birth to take place in the Philippines where women are young children or young Young women and it doesn't say young child According to Judaism they say young woman. Well young woman is not a six-year-old Because yeah, maybe that's an event that couldn't take place. They say young woman's the proper translation So how is a 15 year old a young woman giving birth? How is that a sign? It's not And so by them trying to change the Word of God, they come up with an error because that's not a sign You know, that's interesting Modern versions of the Bible. They also change Isaiah 7 14. It also says young woman in a lot of modern Bibles How is that a sign that a young woman gives birth to a child that is not a sign That is not a proof of the Messiah because plenty of young women give birth to children But what you do see is the virgin birth. It disproves modern-day Judaism Why because they say well Isaiah 7 14 is just a mistranslation They can't explain it away. So we'll just say it's an error in the Word of God It should have said this because here's the thing Jews claim they believe in the Old Testament They claim to believe in the Torah the first five books of the Bible and the Old Testament Here's what I'm saying Jesus said if he had believed Moses, he would have believed in me because he spake of me Jews do not believe in the Old Testament and the virgin birth disproves their stupid religion Whatever one the virgin birth disproves the religion of modern-day Judaism point to the deity of Christ disproves modern-day Judaism It says in this verse in Matthew 1 verse 23 behold a virgin shall be a child and Shall bring forth a son and they shall call his name Immanuel which being interpreted is God with us Jesus Christ is God. It's not disputable in the Word of God You say but that's New Testament The Jews claim to believe in the Old Testament Not the new let's go back to the Old Testament then let's go to Isaiah chapter 9 Isaiah 9 Isaiah 9 Now let me explain to you the significance of the virgin birth especially to young kids as we're celebrating Christmas It's not just the virgin birth was this miraculous sign let me explain to you how this works because we understand that Jesus Christ was 100% God and 100% man not fifty fifty not seventy five twenty five but a hundred percent a hundred percent now We cannot fully comprehend this but let me explain this to you The mother of Jesus was married Right. He's 100% man. The father of Jesus was not Joseph. The father was God the Father According to the Word of God your sin nature is passed down From your father from father to child Whether it's a boy or girl father to son father to daughter My three kids have a sin nature that I have seen I've experienced in my life You see it at a young age and that's passed down from father to child not mother to child So here's the thing every single one of us. There is none righteous. No, no one you know why because your father's a sinner And he had a sin nature that was passed down from his father Here's the thing though. Who was the father of Jesus God the Father. He did not have a sin nature that was passed down You understand? 100% God 100% man, but the thing is your sin nature is passed down from the Father not the mother. So Jesus was fully God fully man without having a sin nature It's why it's ludicrous the Catholic Church tries to make Mary perfect because they'll be like if Mary wasn't perfect How could Jesus be perfect? It's like she doesn't have to be perfect because he didn't get a sin nature from his father Just keep reading your Bibles Catholics And here's the thing if Mary had to be perfect for Jesus to be perfect. Don't Mary's parents have to be perfect, too Right. I mean that doesn't even make sense the Immaculate Conception which is about the conception of Mary being perfect. I mean, that's ridiculous According to the Bible your sin nature is passed down from the father to the child The father of Jesus was God so he did not have a sin nature And of course the Bible says there's none good but one that is God the only one that's good is God Well, then how was Jesus good because he's God That's what I'd like to ask Jehovah's Witnesses. Do you believe Jesus is good? Of course, he's good. He had no sin There's none good but one that is God if he's good. He must be God and that of course is what the Bible teaches But let's see this in the Old Testament because this is not just a New Testament thing talking about this is a nine verse six For unto us a child is born Onto us a son is given and everybody agrees. This is Jesus. I've never heard anybody dispute this they'll say this is Jesus and The government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor the Mighty God the Everlasting Father the Prince of Peace Now I'm preaching about Judaism, but you ask well, how do religions like Jehovah's Witnesses explain this away? Well, what Jehovah's Witnesses say is that Jesus is the Mighty God, but God the Father, you know, he's the Almighty God Because they don't believe in the Trinity. So yeah, Jesus is the Mighty God, but he's not the Almighty God Those words are synonyms you idiot They mean the same thing almighty and mighty and it's in and just remove the word mighty It just says the God do you believe he's got now? Forget about the word mighty and almighty. Let's just say it said the God does that make him God? Yeah, of course I mean, it's it's ridiculous. But this is referring to who it's referring to Jesus Christ Everyone who would claim any sort of Christianity would say this is referring to Jesus Christ And What does the Old Testament say about Jesus? It says that he's God That's what it says. So it's not just Matthew 1 we see this in Isaiah 9 I mean literally Judaism should start saying they believe in 38 books out of the Old Testament Because we're going to be going back to Isaiah later on in the sermon I mean because the prophecies in Isaiah are often fulfilled by who in the Lord Jesus Christ at his birth Even just at his birth before we get to his death and his resurrection Even at his birth. He fulfilled a lot of the things that it says in the book of Isaiah Go to Micah 5 Micah 5 But here's what I'm saying Judaism is looking for Messiah But they don't believe is born of a virgin. Yeah, cuz you don't believe the Bible. You don't believe the Old Testament Judaism is looking for a Messiah, but they don't think that he's gonna be God Yeah, because you don't believe the Word of God. You don't believe the Old Testament Don't claim that you do When you deny what's found in the Old Testament? Old Testament Micah 5 verse 2 But thou Bethlehem Ephrata Though thou be little among the thousands of Judah This is why we sing a little town of Bethlehem because Bethlehem is a small town. It's a little town It's got a small population go to Wikipedia. It's got a small population today. Look it up It's not a big town and that's what the Bible saying in Micah 5 verse 2 though. They'll be little I Mean, there's a lot of bigger towns in Judah than Bethlehem Yet out of these shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel whose goings forth have been from of old From Everlasting goings forth is well, where did he come from from everlasting? Meaning you can go back as far as you want in the past and Jesus was already existing You say why because Jesus was not created by God In the beginning was the word God has always been a Trinity that is his very nature the three in one three persons one God made up of three persons He has always been three persons. He always will be three people and God the Son Jesus Christ has always existed He was not created by God. He is God and It says whose goings forth have been from of old from everlasting. Once again, this is a verse that modern Bible translations change They'll change it from from everlasting to from ancient times you know what ancient times means a long long time ago and Here comes the rest of the fairy tale right it's a long time ago, but not Everlasting, it's very different And I don't care how far back in history you put, you know, Jesus being created It's a heresy regardless how far back you go You say well, I mean Jesus was the the first creation of God. That's what a lot of people say Yeah, it's just as much a heresy as if you say he was created 2,000 years ago No in the beginning was the word he is from everlasting. And if he is from everlasting, who does that make him makes him God? He didn't need a creator why because all things were made by him He wasn't made or created by somebody else all things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made Jesus Christ the creator of all things and what does that show? Well, it shows that in the Old Testament it shows God because he's from everlasting Hey, here's the thing This is not a vague verse that nobody knows about Because there's a famous guy by the name of King Herod that we see in Matthew 2 and then all of a sudden he kind of Gets wind of this and this verse is a bit confusing because in this verse it says he's gonna be the ruler And yet when Jesus came he didn't come to rule and they did not understand that King Herod is upset because it's like wait a minute If this ruler is born That means that I'm no longer the king and my son's not going to become the king so he wanted to kill Jesus But here's the thing you can tell here He kind of knows the Bible kind of not because he's like where was he supposed to be born and they say it's written in Bethlehem and they quote from Micah 5 verse 2 Here's the thing King Herod is a famous person in history You can verify the King Herod existed The events in the Bible you can verify these things these were famous and known people during that time period it's not like they just made up a name of someone that didn't actually exist and Here it knew about the prophecy and then he's like, where is that? They said in Bethlehem Right, and of course Jesus was born in Bethlehem Michael 5 2 proves his deity go to 2nd thessalonians 2 2nd thessalonians chapter 2 Let me read you from an article on Judaism Says traditional Judaism parentheses Orthodox and conservative because by the way, just like with any religion There are a lot of denominations of Judaism, okay There are a lot of denominations of Christianity. There are a lot of denominations of Islam. There are a lot of denominations of Hinduism There's a lot of denominations and versions of every religion. Obviously, we would not link up with you know Catholic Church or INC or Jehovah's Witnesses We'd say that they're not actually Christian, right? And so it's no different though in other religions as well where someone would say I'm Jewish They're not really Jewish. We're the ones that are Jewish Well, you know It's the same thing we can understand this and so says both Orthodox and conservative has never viewed the Messiah as a God man But Only a man with unusual power from God who will manifest the qualities of a prophet priest and king in Israel They have described the Messiah in a dual role First there would come the suffering servant Messiah Ben Joseph who would die in battle against the enemies of Israel Preparing the way for the second Messiah. I'll talk about that later on in point three in our sermon Secondly they would come a descendant of King David who would secure the land of Israel for the Jewish people Bring peace and blessing to Israel in the world Rebuild the temple on its historical site and reinstitute the sacrificial system Modern Judaism parentheses Reform Branch has reinterpreted the messianic. Hope instead of a personal Messiah There will come a messianic age So what a saying is Traditionally Judaism taught there would be two Messiah's Messiah been Joseph Messiah been David Messiah been Joseph Joseph Representing the Joseph in the book of Genesis because he he he pictures a lot of the sufferings that Jesus Christ Didn't ended up doing right? He's a picture of Jesus Christ even in Judaism They believe that Joseph was a picture of their Messiah though. They did not believe Jesus was that Messiah Messiah been David because David is the king the ruler, okay Then it says this instead of a personal Messiah There will come a messianic age that is brought about through the humanist progression of world leaders negotiating for peace When universal peace righteousness and justice is established in the world, then Israel will enjoy peace inner land forever What are they describing in that statement the Antichrist? The one is going to bring world peace See the one that Jews are looking for in 2023 is none other than the Antichrist That is what they're describing and that's no different than Islam and Hinduism and other prominent religions who they describe as this one coming is actually the Antichrist and so they're saying this man brings world peace and what they say is When this man comes There's gonna be peace in the land of Israel forever. He's gonna bring Israel to power That's what they teach Let's see if that's what the Word of God says when this Messiah comes this Antichrist second Thessalonians chapter 2 Second Thessalonians 2 verse 1 Now we beseech you brethren by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering together unto him that you be not soon Shaken in mind or be troubled neither by spirit nor by word nor by letters from us is that the day of Christ is at Hand at hand means about to take place And what Paul is saying is don't be troubled and confused thinking that the day of Christ is about to take place What he's saying is don't let anybody teach you that the rapture is about to take place That's what he's saying. Don't think that the return of Jesus could be at any moment before the end of the sermon before the final prayer Before so many time Just give the church all your money now because you're not gonna make it another five years gonna come in us No, I mean he says don't let anybody deceive you that the day of Christ is at hand. Okay He's literally saying the preacher rapture is false and don't let anybody deceive you with that First way let no man deceive you by any means what he's gonna describe is an event that is so powerful and so known That unless that event has taken place You don't have to worry about Jesus coming back For that day shall not come what day the day of Christ the return of Christ Except there come a falling away first and that man of sin be revealed the son of perdition That man of sin is the Antichrist The next verse is going to describe more about the revealing of that man of sin Now here's the thing if I were to ask you Who is the Antichrist? Nobody knows You know why it hasn't been revealed, right? If you don't know who the Antichrist is, that means the day of Christ is not at hand There's there's no way to explain away and I've heard a lot of ways people try to explain this away It doesn't make any sense. The man of sin must be revealed What I've heard some preacher people say is well, I mean it's been revealed but not publicly. I Mean Let's go back to some basic definitions of words, okay, if it's revealed that means it's known, you know It's like, you know, we already did the gender reveal, but nobody knows what the gender is That's ridiculous The gender reveal means we're letting it be known to everybody We did a gender reveal, but you know, we didn't let anybody know. Well, then you didn't do a gender reveal You just found out the birth and didn't tell anybody right first for Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God so he will oppose God or that is worshiped So that he is God sitteth in the temple of God showing himself that he is God the Antichrist in the temple of God Is going to declare himself be God you say pastor. Do you believe that the temple is going to be rebuilt? Of course? Because the Antichrist is going to declare himself be God in the temple of God Has that taken place? No, it hasn't is that an event that could happen and you just don't find out about it No, it's an event that everybody's gonna know The temple will be rebuilt and the Antichrist will declare himself to be God, but here's a problem with modern-day Judaism Because remember I just read they don't believe the Messiah is going to be God But the Antichrist is going to declare himself to be God You say well, how does that work? The way it works is that Judaism is expecting their Messiah to be a normal person that promotes them to power and they have peace forevermore and in reality When the Antichrist declares himself beyond God declares himself be God the Jews won't believe that The Antichrist is going to turn on the Jews the Antichrist Uses the Jews to get to power He's gonna declare himself be God and then the Jews are gonna be like wait a minute This is not what we signed up for and is there gonna be peace forevermore in Israel? Not at all But the peace is not coming to the Middle East once the Antichrist reveals himself In fact, there's going to be more chaos than there's ever been Right. So here's the thing the Jews are going to be deceived by the Antichrist the Antichrist will turn on them Because they're not looking for the Messiah to be God But here's the thing the Old Testament shows us that the Messiah is going to be God, right? We didn't just look at the New Testament to show that Jesus is God now in my normal Conversations with people if people don't believe Jesus is God. I show them Matthew 123. I Show them New Testament. I show them 1st Timothy 3 16 But the Old Testament shows us that the Messiah was going to be God, but the Jews don't believe that why Because they don't believe the Old Testament and the virgin birth and the fact that Jesus is God Those disprove modern-day Judaism Turn in your Bible to Isaiah 53 Isaiah 53 Point one, the virgin birth disproves modern-day Judaism Point two the fact that Jesus Christ is God his deity Disproves modern-day Judaism because they claim to believe the Old Testament and obviously you don't Point three and lastly the fact that Jesus did not come as a king But came as a suffering Servant who died for us it disproves modern-day Judaism Remember what I read early earlier? Modern-day Judaism used to teach there would be two messiahs what they did not realize is this is the same person the suffering Messiah Messiah ben joseph, and he must die before israel returns back to the holy land and then Messiah ben David who's going to be the conquering king that is what they taught so here's the thing as the jews got rejected And the temple was destroyed in 70ad. You know what they taught people for basically 1900 years. This is prophesied We're going to be persecuted. We're going to be vagabonds traveling the world we are waiting for Messiah ben joseph to come and when Messiah ben joseph comes and he Suffers and he dies then we will return to power That is what judaism taught But then toward the 19th century and then really at the turn of the 20th century All of a sudden judaism said you know what we've been teaching for 1900 years. We decided to change it and Now guess what there is no Messiah ben joseph. We can go back to the holy land now I mean, they've been teaching people for 1900 years the reason why you're getting kicked out of every country in the world is because this Is prophesied we must go through it. We're waiting for Messiah ben joseph, and when he comes we can return back to the holy land and Then there are some rich jews that started lobbying governments and said hey, just give us our land now Here's what you need to understand about this and you know the two big events that you're looking at in This is the return to the promised land and the rebuilding of the temple according to most modern-day jews They've already returned to the holy land right even though they didn't believe on Christ They didn't turn to God They're a wicked religion, but somehow they got to return to the promised land They got kicked out of the promised land for being wicked But they can remain wicked and enter back in does that make any sense if you're not brainwashed by Modern-day churches Doesn't make any sense at all You got kicked out for being wicked. You're still wicked yet You got to return see modern-day judaism is the remnant of those that rejected Jesus Christ And they rejected Jesus, and they don't think they have to live a godly life. They just get to return back But here's what I'm saying historically if you look at the last 2,000 years until about 75 80 years ago What judaism taught is that we are suffering because we're waiting for the messiah to come messiah number one once he dies Then we return to the promised land and messiah two comes and he's going to rule and there's going to be peace forevermore That's what they taught and in fact if you were to go back before world war two and I'm going to prove this to you. I'm going to read from Wikipedia because it's a very common source although There's plenty of better sources you can find on this before World War two Most Jews were anti-zionist most Jews Let me just read you from this article on Wikipedia Anti-zionism is opposition to Zionism although, and you know in case you're not aware Zionism is this idea that the Jews have right to the land of Israel no matter what they do and Basically, you know 80 years ago. God brought back his people to the promised land because no matter how wicked they are They're God's people even though the Bible says he that believeth not the son shall not see life But the wrath of God abideth on them even though they take credit for killing the Lord Jesus Christ Let his blood be on us and all our children and yet somehow for most of us in churches. What were he taught? These are God's people no matter what they do No matter how much they blaspheme God But anti-zionism would be the stance that we are against the Jews just automatically having the promised land And look as I've said before I I don't have a dog in the fight of Israel and Palestine because I think both religions are Wicked and both groups of people but no they don't have this automatic right to the land no matter what they did It's like a contract you sign where you must do the following to keep this apartment if you don't you're gone Guess what the Jews did not do what they were required in that contract with God They don't have a permanent right to the promised land although anti-zionism is a heterogeneous heterogeneous Genus phenomenon all of its proponents ultimately agree that the creation of the modern state of Israel and the movement to create a Sovereign Jewish state in the biblical land of Israel was flawed or unjust in some way Now let me say this before I go on the vast majority of Jews in 2023 are pro-zionist no question about it, okay? I Will say this there are plenty of Jews that are around today that are anti-zionist though I've watched a documentary where you had a bunch of Jews, and they are holding up Palestinian flags Saying down with the Israeli people and what they say is those Jews are the imposters and we're the real Jews now both religions Are false because they don't believe on Jesus, but there are Jews today that are safe. We are still waiting For Messiah ben joseph, and they have no right to the promised land And what they would say above that is if we try to enter the promised land Before God gives it to us and before Messiah ben joseph comes We're going to get the wrath of God and what they will say is all this violence happens in the Middle East They have the wrath of God because the fact they weren't supposed to go back to the promised land because Messiah ben joseph did not yet come and It says here from this Wikipedia article prior to World War two Anti-zionism was widespread among Jews for various reasons You say among the Jews yeah the majority of Jews were anti-zionists you say why because they have been taught for 1,900 years that they're traveling across the world without their home because they're waiting for the Messiah to come That's what they were taught and so when you do a 180. It's like well wait a minute I thought that nope nope we changed our mind a lot of people didn't get on board with it immediately Okay Orthodox Jews opposed zionism on religious grounds as preempting them as Messiah Basically if we go to the promised land before the Messiah comes it's going to prevent the Messiah from coming for a longer period of time and Then says while secular Jews felt uncomfortable with the idea that Jewish peoplehood was a national or ethnic identity opposition to zionism in the Jewish diaspora Was only surmounted from the 1930s onwards as conditions for Jews Deteriorated radically in Europe with the Second World War the sheer scale of the Holocaust struck home Let me read you some other things here before I go on There's something known as the Havara agreement. This was something that Adolf Hitler signed on August 25th 1933 Adolf Hitler was a nationalist. I am not saying he was a good person. I don't believe he was a good person I don't believe he's in heaven. I don't believe he's safe. You know whatever But what Adolf Hitler wanted was a purely Aryan race Right he wanted everybody to stick to their own country So he signed an agreement to send all of the Jews to Israel he wanted every single one out This is a very famous agreement. You can look at Wikipedia everything I'm saying you can verify on August 25th 1933 before World War two he wanted all of the Jews to go to Israel He agreed I mean because a lot of the world leaders were against this Adolf Hitler was one of the first ones cuz like yeah, I just want purely Germanic people right. That's what Adolf Hitler wanted so the population in Palestine of Jews in 1931 was one hundred seventy four thousand six hundred ten the Havara agreement a couple years later Caused it in five years in 1936 to rise to three hundred eighty four thousand in 78 And of course there are a lot of rich Jews that were lobbying governments in order for all the Jews to go back Here's the thing though a lot of Jews were against it in fact most Jews were against it So let me ask you a question use some common sense here is if most Jews were against Zionism before World War two and Afterwards most of them were for it You know what that teaches you it teaches you that the Jews that were killed during World War two were Anti-zionist Jews I mean you can just add it up. It's common sense so do I believe a lot of Jews were killed during World War two yeah the anti-zionist Jews and Primarily the ones that remained afterwards were pro-zionism Now there are still anti-zionist Jews today, but yeah World War two killed a lot of anti-zionist Jews. It's a fact How many I have absolutely no idea, but that's the reason why post World War two almost every Jew Was pro-zionism it's kind of like get on with the program or whatever you can either be with us or against us And then the Zionist Jews went a lot were against and yeah a lot of them died during World War two right But you say why does this disprove modern-day Judaism because of the fact modern-day Judaism does not teach what what Jews taught five hundred years ago 500 years ago they taught Messiah ben joseph will come first They taught there will be the suffering Messiah first Why did they teach that because you saw all the pictures of that in the book of Genesis even they realize that with Joseph? They said this is a picture of our Messiah. They saw Abraham and Isaac. They saw those stories I mean by the way that also proves that Jesus would be God because God will provide himself the Bible says But they saw isaiah 53 Which clearly is a reference the Messiah and then they believed in two messiahs because they understood he was going to roll as a king But they also see him suffering so therefore they said there's two messiahs what they did not realize is it's one Messiah Who's coming two different times? That's what they did not figure out But 500 years ago every Jew taught were waiting for Messiah ben joseph And that's why we are getting kicked out of all these countries when in reality they're getting kicked out because they're wicked right Isaiah 53 verse 1 Who hath believed our report and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plan and as a root out of a dry ground He hath no form nor comeliness and when we shall see him. There's no beauty that we should desire him I mean the Jews have known this to be the Messiah. It's been taught in their religion, and it still is today as Referencing their Messiah although now they're trying to explain away the suffering Messiah first verse 3 He is despised and rejected of men a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief And we hit as it were our faces from him. He was despised and we esteemed him not Surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows yet We did esteem him stricken smitten of God and afflicted, but he was wounded for our transgressions He was bruised for iniquities the chastisement of her peace was upon him and with his stripes We are healed all we like sheep have gone astray We have turned everyone to his own way and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all look Judaism has taught. This is a messianic passage They did not believe Jesus was the Messiah, but they looked at this and said it's a messianic passage now they're trying to just change the religion because modern-day Judaism doesn't believe in the suffering Messiah and Jesus's birth disproves them because obviously came as a suffering Messiah verse 7 He was oppressed and he was afflicted yet. He opened not his mouth He was brought as a lamb to the slaughter and as a sheep before shearers is dumb So he openeth not his mouth He was taken from prison and from judgment and who shall declare his generation for his cutoff out of the land of the living for The transgression of my people was he stricken and he made his grave with the wicked and with the rich in his death because he had Done no violence neither was any deceit in his mouth yet. It pleased the word to bruise him He hath put him to grief when thou shalt make his soul and offering for sin. He shall see his seed He shall prolong his days The pleasure the Lord shall prosper in his hand He shall see of the travail of his soul and shall be satisfied by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many He shall bear their iniquities Therefore I divide him apportioned with the great and he shall divide the spoil with the strong Because he hath poured out his soul into death He was numbered with the transgressors and he bare the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors and we're clearly seeing here in Isaiah 53 a Messianic passage now, it's very easy for us to understand all of this because we live post Jesus Christ But even in Judaism they taught this as a messianic passage But now what is modern-day Judaism trying to do? They're trying to explain away everything they supposedly believe in the Old Testament Why because it just proves them you say why do Jews? Reject Jesus as the Messiah if the Bible clearly talks about that he'd be born in Bethlehem He'd be God He'd be suffering and yet also be a king which Jesus will come the second time as a ruler and King It's like honestly, I don't know how you could reject it It's so clear from the Old Testament, which is what we primarily looked at That that is fulfilled in Jesus Christ But see modern-day Judaism, they do not believe the Old Testament They explain away everything in the Old Testament modern-day Jews. Usually they'll say they're pro evolution How are you pro evolution if you believe the Old Testament? But they don't actually believe the words of God whether it be old or new This is why if you give the gospel to Jew You don't have to use the Old Testament because they don't believe it in any way if you talk to a Muslim, you don't have to stick to the Old Testament because they don't believe that either and Whether it's the old or new they can decide to believe or not. So I would stick to the new primarily Because it's the Word of God that's going to get him saved and it is more clear in the new Now you could go back and say hey, isn't this what Isaiah 53 talked about if you talk to a Jewish person? but what I'm saying is Judaism was disproven at the birth of Jesus Christ and when Jesus was born There are a lot of Jews that were already saved you say why because they were believing on the coming Messiah people like Peter people like the Apostles people like John sons of Thunder right they believed on the coming Messiah so they believe when he came and Then there are some that were not actually saved But they saw all of these prophecies and they got converted along the way like yeah You know what our religion actually does make sense. This is the Messiah Then there are the ones that refuse to believe They said no, we believe in a Messiah that's going to come and suffer but he's not the one and they were so confident They were willing to kill Jesus not realizing you're fulfilling What the Old Testament is talking about you say pastor? Why did you quote from Wikipedia? Well, you can't really call it a conspiracy theory if Wikipedia is saying it's a fact Right you can look at this information for yourself, it's a fact I mean before World War two almost all Jews were anti-zionism afterwards. Most are for it It's like well, I mean just put two and two together Put the puzzle pieces together for yourself Right. I'm trying to say enough where I'm very clear without getting a YouTube strike Which may or may not work But Regardless the birth of Jesus and you know, it's not just Judaism that was disproven with the birth of Jesus Christ It just proves a lot of false religions in this world And what Christmas is about is about the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ God in the flesh born of a virgin Lived the perfect sin free life. He did come to suffer. I'm not saying you have to call Messiah been Joseph I don't call it that but yeah, he came to suffer He came to gave his give his life for ransom for many He came not to be ministered on to but to minister and to give his life for ransom for many He came and did everything for you as we sing in our hymnal. I gave my life for thee Question is what have you done for him? He gave his entire life for you. What about your life is your life about you? Or it is about God. Let's close on the word of prayer. Dear Heavenly Father Thank you for allowing us to be here today and just getting to see these wonderful Scriptures and this topic in the Word of God and help us realize how significant the the the the birth of our Savior was and Help us, you know teach this to our kids help us as families to you know Make Christmas about you and not make it about us or about the things we want God But primarily to focus on you and having your presence in our life God We ask you to bless us this Christmas and also this coming new year help us to serve you and as you Continue to bless our church, but also all the families at our church God.
