Alright, we're here in 1 Corinthians chapter 11, and we are continuing our series on false philosophies. And the false philosophy we're looking at today is feminism. The false philosophy of feminism. And what feminism is, is this movement that's really kind of picked up the last hundred years to try to make women like men. And try to say that men and women are the same, there's no differences, and that people are just holding back women. And you know, they say that they're doing this to free women, but it's not freeing women, okay? And we look at our society today, you see this big LGBT culture, it's attached to this idea of feminism, and these sorts of things they promote. Now as we've talked about false philosophies with most of these series, most of these sermons, I've started with what's the appeal of it? Because if something's very popular, there has to be an appeal. What's the reason why so many people embrace feminism in 2021? Well, I can say this, that men do not embrace this. Men do not like this. Now, they might pretend because they're afraid of their wife, or they're afraid of other women, or they're afraid of getting fired at their jobs or things like that, but I don't care how many men stand up and say, we need to give women more rights. Honestly, they're just doing that because they're afraid. They don't like this movement. So who does like this movement? Women that want to rebel against what God says. That's the reason why. And let me just say this, that whenever I preach the Bible, whenever I preach sermons, I'm showing you what the Bible says, and if you get mad and it's something where I'm showing you what the Bible says, you're not getting mad at me. I'm just the messenger promoting what the Bible says. And I understand in 2021, this sort of sermon, it's like, man, it can get you on the airwaves, it can get protests, like how dare him say that? And it's like this yes we can movement, like that picture on the bulletin and stuff like that. This is not of God, okay? Point number one is quite simply this, there's a difference between men and women. I mean, this is a very simple point, isn't it? There's a difference between men and women, and there's many aspects to those differences. One of those aspects is physically, there's just a difference between men and women. I mean, call me crazy, but the average guy is taller than the average girl. Does anybody want to argue that? Right? Men are generally taller than women. Look, men are stronger than women. How dare you say that? I mean, you're denying reality if you say that's not true. It's obvious. It would be foolish to try to argue that. Right? I mean, obviously, men are stronger, okay? Men are taller. Men generally weigh more. There's just differences. I mean, men are shaped differently than women are shaped. There's just a difference between men and women. And to argue that is insanity, okay? Notice what it says in 1 Corinthians 11, verse 6. For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn. You say, Brother Stuckey, I mean, does this verse promote Islam? I mean, women need to be covered, their entire faces and everything. Well, it says, let her also be shorn, and what is that talking about? Well, think about shearing sheep. Have you heard that term before? When you shear sheep, you basically take and remove their hair. And when it's saying shorn, it basically means, like, bald. You know, like, all your hair is gone. What the Bible's saying is, because the covering is the hair, according to 1 Corinthians 11, and you could preach a whole sermon on that. I don't have time to do that. But the hair is what the covering is. What the Bible's saying is that if a woman is not going to have long hair, and she's going to have short hair that looks exactly like mine, she might as well just shave it off. Right? I mean, the Bible's being basically, you know, symbolic or metaphorical here, saying, you know, if she's just going to have really short hair, then just shave it off. Okay? It says here then, but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. For a man indeed not ought to cover his head for as much as he is the image and glory of God, but the woman is the glory of the man. Now, in 2021, a lot of women might get mad at what the Bible says there, but realize the Bible also says that men should have short hair. The Bible gives a description of men having short hair. Right? When you say, well, Brother Stuckey, you know, you don't understand, it's a hassle having long hair. Yeah, it's also a hassle getting your hair cut. That's the reason why mine gets longer than it probably should, because I'm lazy to get my hair cut. I don't want to take the time. Right? And it's like, you know what, for both men and women, there's a standard of how your hair looks. You say, why? Because God wants there to be a difference between men and women. God wants it to be that from a long distance away, you can tell if somebody's a man or if somebody's a woman. I've said before, talking about hair, I use the analogy of when I wear glasses, because right now I have contacts in. And I am basically legally blind if I'm not wearing contacts or glasses. I cannot recognize more than five feet away. I would not be able to recognize my wife more than, you know, four feet away from me, honestly. But what I can see are colors. And see, what I said before is this. I ought to be able to tell whether you're a man or a woman in this room, even without wearing my contacts, just because I can see the hair color and I can see how long your hair is. And I can just judge based on the hair, is it a man or a woman, right? And if I can't do that, well, there's a problem there, meaning there's no gray area. Men have short hair. Women have long hair. You say, well, how long is long? How short is short? The point is there ought to be a difference between men and women. The point is not to get close to what that line is. It says in verse 8, For the man is not of the woman, but the woman of the man. Neither was the man created for the woman, but the woman for the man. Now drop down to verse 13. And the Bible says here, judge in yourselves. Whenever sermons are being preached, we tell people to judge what's being said. We say, look at what I'm preaching. Look at what I'm saying. Search the Scriptures like the Bereans did and see if whether or what I say is true. But what he's saying is, while he's speaking this, judge in yourselves. You make the determination. He's primarily speaking here to men, I believe. Because he's going to talk about a woman's hair length. And what he says here is, you know, judge in yourselves. You be the determiner of whether what I'm saying is true or not. And he says, is it comely that a woman praying to God uncovered? Now what does comely mean? It means attractive. And he said, you judge yourself. Is it attractive if a woman has short hair? That's what he's saying. You be the judge. You that are a husband in this room, your wife tells you she... And look, I'm not against you getting a haircut if you're a woman. I'm not saying you have to, you know, grow it out and never get a haircut. But let's say your wife tells you, you know what, I got a haircut, honey. You're like, all right, I'm excited to see it. She comes home and it's just like shaved. Is that attractive to you? That's what the Bible's saying. Would you find that attractive? Would you be happy if your wife came home and she shaved off all her head? Is that comely? Is it attractive to you? Anyway, what Paul's stating is this. It's not attractive to any guy. It's not. It's not attractive to a guy for his wife to have really short hair that looks like mine. It's just not an attractive look. That is what the Bible's saying. I mean, he says, judging yourselves. You decide here today, I'm saying the same thing. You that are men in this room, do you find ladies attractive if they have really short hair? And the answer to that would be, no, you don't. You say, Brother Stuckey, that's just because culturally you're taught that. No, it's not because he says, judging yourselves. He's saying that by nature you know this. You might not have a Bible verse, but you just know because when you see it you're like, you know what, that's just not right. It says in verse 14, Doth not even nature itself teach you that if a man have long hair it is a shame unto him? Now people try to take verse 14 and they say, well see, Mother Nature is teaching you something. Look at the lionesses, the female lions with, you know, or the male lions with the long hair and the female lions with the short hair. It's not referring to Mother Nature. All you have to do is look up the word nature in the Bible and it's referring to nature versus nurture. Genetically, biologically versus how you're raised. Nature versus nurture. What it's saying is just inside of yourself from birth you know that men are supposed to have short hair and women long hair. By nature. You said, prove it to me. Paul said by nature you know that. And people can try to argue it, but on the inside of themselves they know this is true. The Bible says by nature you know this. That men are supposed to have short hair and women are supposed to have long hair. And it doesn't matter how many people in this world want to rebel against God. And how many, I mean, here we've got so many guys that are dressed up like women and just trying to look like women. That's never going to make it normal. And by nature those people knew that that was wrong. That's what the Bible teaches. I mean, he talked about is it attractive for a woman to pray, you know, with short hair. I mean, is Joyce Meyer attractive? Joyce Meyer. I mean, is that the one where you're like, man, Brother Stuckey, I've got to make sure I don't look at her because, you know, my mind starts to want. It's like, that is not an attractive lady. Right? And it's just like, you know, a large part of that is because of her hair. It's like, that's not the way a woman is supposed to look. Women are supposed to, I mean, this is crazy preaching, Brother Stuckey. This is the Word of God. It's what the Bible says. And look, when I look around the room, it looks like people already know this, so there's no reason to be upset because I see women that have long hair and men that have short hair. You say, well, how do you know that, Brother Stuckey? Is it just culturally you were taught that? By nature you knew that. You knew that. That's what the Bible teaches. It says in verse 15, but if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her, for her hair is given her for covering. Now go to Deuteronomy 22. Deuteronomy 22. What are some other physical differences between men and women? Well, one thing that's very obvious is, in general, men tend to be taller than women. Of course, it's not 100% always like that, but there's about a 4 to 5 inch gap between the height of men and women. Okay? And I was taught in college that they have various theories for why men and women are different, and they were trying to teach us it was like a psychological thing. That men tend to be taller than women because they're taught at a young age they're supposed to be taller. That's that new theory by these geniuses, these Greek philosophers and these Sigmund Freud types. It's like, men are taller because they're taught to be taller, and women end up being shorter because they're taught they're not supposed to be as tall as men. It's like, that's what passes for a college textbook in 2011. I don't even know about 2021. It's like, what kind of garbage and stupidity is that? Who buys that? I suppose that women give birth because they're taught at a young age they're able to give birth, and we can't give birth as men because we're just taught that we can. Isn't that stupid? It's retarded. Right? There's just a difference between men and women, and you know what? It's not that there's anything close between men and women. There's a huge difference. A huge difference between men and women. Right? When you think of sports like basketball, football, baseball. Look, I hate to break it to you, no woman is ever going to be a professional athlete in those sports and be successful. It's not going to happen. There's no comparison. You have guys like Lebron James dunk a basketball from the foul line, and in ladies basketball it's extremely rare for a woman to dunk. You say, why? Because God made men and women different. That's not an insult to women. It's just stating there's a difference, and to deny that is denying reality. It's just a fact. There's a major difference between men and women. And look, you say, Brother Stuckey, you sound like you're preaching against women. No. I am a feminist. You say, why? Because I'm promoting women being feminine. Be like women. Men be like men, and women be like, look, there's no bigger feminist in 2021 here in Metro Manila in the Philippines than me. Right? I promote men being like men and being masculine and women being like women and being feminine. And look, when women get upset at this and this sort of preaching, what you're basically saying is you're upset at the way that God created you. God gave women the ability to have kids, and it's something designed for women. It's not something for men. And quite honestly, I'm not envious that I don't get to give kids. I'm not one of these weird people that's trying to do some sort of science magic thing. It's like, I'm perfectly happy. It's like, that's a rule that God gave to women. And you know what? There's roles to men and roles to women. All I'm saying is there's a difference between men and women. One thing is just physically. One thing is hair length and physically. Another thing is dressing differently. And look, this is a very controversial thing in 2021, but let's just look at what the Bible says here. Because whenever we state anything, we use the Bible to prove what we believe. It says in Deuteronomy 22, verse 5. And by the way, let me just say this for women. Because this is the sort of sermon where women might have inside of themselves get upset at some of the things I'm saying. But I don't believe I'm being insulting to women at all. I'm trying to uplift the role that God has for women versus the role that God has for men. It's different. Let me give you some other statistic, though. Even though men are physically stronger, which is undeniable, the average lifespan for a woman in the Philippines as of 2019 was 75.51 years. The average lifespan for a man is 67.26 years. Eight year gap. Now part of that is probably lifestyle choices because men are more likely to drink and smoke and do stupid things, I would say. There I am insulting men. But it's not just because of the choices they make. It's also by nature. And I don't necessarily understand why, but I will say this. I work with mortality tables every single time at my old job. And at every single stage of life, men are more likely to die at the age of one day old, two days old. I mean, male babies are like three or four times as likely to die than female babies. And that has nothing to do with their lifestyle choices. It's just that God made a difference between men and women. And look, I don't get upset at that statistic. I believe in math. I know how to crunch the numbers. I mean, it's just a fact. There's no reason to get upset. I mean, men die at an earlier age than women on average. It's just a fact. There's no reason to get upset with something that's just a fact, okay? There's a difference between men. It's the reason why there's more women in the world than men. There are more women because they, on average, live longer, okay? Deuteronomy 22, verse 5. Another thing is there's a way that men should dress and a way that women should dress. It says in Deuteronomy 22, verse 5, The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all that do so are abomination unto the Lord thy God. Now, let me just say this. Number one, this is in the Old Testament, but it still applies today. There's nothing that said Jesus Christ rose again, so now I don't care about anything that I said in the Old Testament. That's ridiculous. He gave clothing standards, and those things would still apply. Now, I don't have time to preach a whole sermon on this. I've preached a lot on this before, but there's some very obvious differences between the way men dress and women dress. Let me give something that I think is just undisputable. Women wear bras, and men should not wear bras, okay? You say, why, Brother Stuckey? Because men and women are physically different. We're designed differently. We're built differently, right? So an article of clothing was created for women, but it's not something that a man should wear. It's not helpful for a guy to wear it, right? It's like there'd be no point, but it is designed for women because men and women are different. I mean, would anybody argue that? I mean, it's obvious, right? Another thing that women can wear but men shouldn't wear are high heels. Does anyone want to argue that? Right? What about for men? Well, there's certain things that would look weird if a woman wore this. If a woman was dressed like me with a suit and tie, it would look strange, wouldn't it? You say, Brother Stuckey will prove that to me. By nature, you know it. That's what Paul said, right? By nature, you know that's true. Inside of yourself, you know it would just look weird for a woman to wear a suit and a tie. You'd say, no, he's dressed like a guy. It's not just cultural. By nature, you know that, right? There are even certain shirts that, you know what, certain shirts my wife. I mean, look, we have kids, two kids, and yes, you know, Zeph is bigger than Christabel, but a lot of clothes they could both fit in. But you know what? There's just a difference between Zeph's clothing and Christabel's clothing, right? You say, why? Because there's just a difference between a boy and a girl, right? And there's just a difference in 2021. There's always been a difference. Another thing we state at our church is we believe there's a difference between, you know, the article men wear of pants and women wear dresses. Women wear skirts or dresses and men wear pants. Now, you make your own decision about this, but let me say this, that the world actually agrees with what I'm saying. Even though they would argue and complain, the world agrees. Because you know that you go to a funeral, you go to a wedding, and guess what? Men are going to dress, you know, very old-fashioned, something like this. Women are going to wear dresses, something that's very becoming of a woman, something that looks very beautiful. You say, why? Because inside of yourself, you know it's true, right? And look, I've talked to plenty of people through the years, or I've heard stories of people that wanted to fight on this doctrine about women's clothing standards, and then they basically agreed, you know what, honestly, I was just, it was like that last thing, I was trying to rebel against God, but it's just like, it's what the Bible teaches. And it doesn't matter how much we're brainwashed. Even the world understands this, because you know what? You go to a restaurant, you got two bathrooms, you got a picture, one picture's for men, one picture's for women. Oh, I can't figure out which one to go into. You can tell because of the way they're dressed in the picture. Because languages aren't necessarily 100% universal where people would know. I mean, someone from America would come, they'd say, comfort room? What's that? Right? They could be confused. Right? Because that's not a term you use in the U.S. But you know what? What they do know is a picture. It's like, oh wow, okay, must be the men's restroom. Right? Based on what the picture is, okay? The world understands this, even if they want to try to fight against this. Look, it's not normal for men to wear dresses. Who else thinks that's bizarre? Who else thinks that's weird? It's pretty strange. Right? Men wearing dresses. Look, yesterday we came home from church, and there was this guy, and I use this term very loosely, because he was wearing high heels and a dress, and he kept, like, pulling his shirt up. And I just have my kids in the stroller, and he's, like, walking toward me, and I'm trying to avoid him. And then he starts, like, stalking us back to where we live. I was like, if he keeps coming, you know, I'll drop off my kids and my family and come out and deal with whatever I have to, this weird freak. But you see somebody looking like that, it's not normal. It doesn't matter if it's common. And I get that in 2021 it's so common that, you know what, it's on the TV all the time. Vice Pungy, it's so funny. Ha, ha, ha. Look at him dressed like a woman. It's not funny. The guy's a pervert. It's like, oh, Mimi Yuck. Mimi Yuck. Mimi Yuck. Right? It's so funny in all these commercials for what, Lazada or Shopee or whatever, that he always pops up on your computer. Not funny. It's disgusting. It's not normal, and it's never going to be normal. But here's the thing. There's still some semblance of the way that men dress, and people know that's wrong. But see, what happened is women changed the way they dressed, like, 80 years ago, because that's the way people reacted. And it actually used to be illegal in the U.S. for women to wear pants. The society said, you know what, it's not right, it's not normal. And look, here's the thing. I'm not preaching a whole sermon on this topic. I'm giving you my opinion on this. But one thing you cannot argue is there's definitely some clothing that is for men and some clothing for women. You've got to make your own decision. Look at what the Bible says. Don't be stubborn about what's right. Look inside your heart. Look at what the Bible says, and you make that decision. But one thing you cannot argue is there is a difference between the way men should dress and women should dress. That's what the Bible says in Deuteronomy 22. Go to 1 Peter 3. 1 Peter 3. And let me just say this. You know, if women get mad at what I'm saying, it's like, well, I also just preached that men are not allowed to wear dresses. Right? Now, I hope there's no guy in this room that's upset at that. I'm really offended by Brother Stuckey, right? But there's just a difference between men and women. Obviously, everybody's got to make their own dividing lines on the differences between men and women. I mean, some people might be more extreme than other people are, and that's fine. I mean, some people have different opinions. But you've got to make your own decision. But not only is there physically a difference, and men and women are meant to dress differently, there's also emotionally a difference between men and women. Women are far more emotional than men in general than men. Women are just much more emotional. Anyway, here's the thing. There's nothing wrong with that. Obviously, God created women to be more emotional. And there's many benefits to it. There's many benefits when it comes to raising kids and things like that. I mean, there's just a difference between men and women. I mean, when your baby starts crying, they always go to Mom to be comforted. Right? They come to Dad when they want to jump on your back and attack you in pillow fight and things like that. I mean, there's just a difference between men and women. 1 Peter 3, verse 7. It says, Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life that your prayers be not hindered. Now, generally, when you see this verse applied in priests, people apply it to, like, physical strength. And, you know, I think that's definitely true. That's not a bad application. But I'll be honest. I think the primary context of 1 Peter 3, 7 is with emotions, not with physical strength. Because it talks about dwelling with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor unto her. That has nothing to do with physical strength. I think it's dealing with emotionally, because realize if your wife is more emotional, you have to be very gentle, dwell with them according to knowledge, so you can be heirs together of the grace of life. I don't really see that having much to do with physical strength. I mean, no doubt, men are physically stronger in terms of being able to bench more weight or whatever. But I think primarily this is dealing with emotionally. And I have other passages we'll look at here in a second. But what the Bible shows us is that men are emotionally a stronger vessel than women. Now, go to 2 Samuel 12. 2 Samuel 12. 2 Samuel 12. Now, this is not to say that it's wrong for a guy to cry or be emotional. I mean, obviously all of us get emotional sometimes. Jesus wept in the Bible. Emotions are not bad. I've had times that I've cried before, but at the same time, it's something you would more expect from a woman than a man, right, to be very emotional in situations. You say, Brother Stuckey, I don't know about this. Well, what about Job versus Job's wife? Right? I mean, I think Job's wife was probably a very godly lady, but you know what? Job was able to handle that situation better than his wife. Now, Job wasn't happy about it. I mean, he was depressed, he was miserable, but he was able to handle it better than his wife was. 2 Samuel 12, verse 19. But when David saw that his servants whispered, David perceived that the child was dead. Therefore David said unto his servants, Is the child dead? And they said, He is dead. Then David arose from the earth, and washed and anointed himself, and changed his apparel, and came into the house of the Lord, and worshipped. Then he came to his own house, and when he required, they set bread before him, and he did eat. So David is crying, he's fasting, you know, he's pleading with God to spare his child, spare his son. Then he finds out his son dies. He immediately just gets up, washes himself, changes his apparel, and he's just kind of like there's no point of grieving anymore. I mean, it's done, and I'm going to see my child again. My child's in heaven. But he realizes, you know what, I need to go about my day now. I can't just be miserable all the time. And the servants see that, and they're saying, you know, how was he able to do this? Because they were afraid to tell him, because he's so emotional, and then David finds out his child dies. Instead of weeping, he just gets up and goes about his day, because he understood that he had to be the stronger vessel. He gets control of his emotions in a difficult situation. Right? Look at verse 24. And David comforted Bathsheba, his wife. Why is it that David didn't just stand there and cry and sulk and be depressed? Because he knew he had to comfort his wife. That's the reason why. Look, everybody likes throwing a pity party when you're depressed. It's fun to say woe is me, my life's miserable, whatever, but, you know what, David's like, you know what, there's no point, there's no benefit, and I need to actually help out my wife. And it says he comforts Bathsheba, and he went in under her and lay with her, and she bare a son, and he called his name Solomon, and the Lord loved him. Now, verse 24 is one verse that covers one year of time, approximately, probably, right? I mean, at least nine months, at least 40 weeks, and there takes a little bit of time. If you lose a child, it will generally take three months. That's what we were told. We dealt with this before losing a child, and inside the womb we were told that, you know what, actually you'll probably be able to get pregnant shortly afterwards. Now, when you're going through a tough time, it doesn't necessarily help you, but that's reality. It's like three months later, and then nine months, it's like a year to the day, pretty much, and that's generally the way it works. So verse 24 is dealing with about one year of time. Now, look, David's not happy about this, but he realizes, you know what, I need to be the stronger vessel. And look, if you're a husband in this room, and you go through a difficult time in your life with your family, a tragedy or something terrible, as the husband you are called upon to get control of your emotions and comfort your spouse, because she is going to be more emotional during the situation, probably. Go to 2 Samuel 10, 2 Samuel 10. And so I believe what that's teaching is that David, over the course of a year, had to continually comfort his wife. I don't think it's just like, well, let me just give you a hug, honey, all right, let's just move on. I think what the Bible's showing us is over that time, there's going to be times when the thoughts spring up and she might get depressed or whatever. He's got to comfort her over that time period because this is a very difficult time to go through, right? Look, this is not an insult to women to say that women are more emotional. It's just a fact. I would think people wouldn't argue that in 2021, but people want to argue pretty much everything now, right? But men are emotionally stronger usually than women. Now, I'm not saying there can't be a situation where men get more emotional than women, but in general, God just made men and women different. It says, let me show you another verse, 2 Samuel 10, verse 12. 2 Samuel 10, verse 12. This is dealing with their going into war, and you've got Joab and Abishah who are the leaders, and what Joab says to Abishah is this, be of good courage, 2 Samuel 10, verse 12, be of good courage and let us play the men for our people. You say, what is he saying there? Well, what he's saying to Abishah is this, you are the leader. As the leader, you can't show fear. You can't show weakness. You have to be confident, right? You have to go with confidence whether things are going good or whether they're going bad. Look, if I was the leader up here and I'm going through the announcements and I'm just like, oh, man, I don't know if we're going to make it as a church, things are miserable, you know, it's just like, the whole church is like, what in the world? Because you expect the leader to have confidence and to be bold even if they're going through a tough time. But what Joab said to Abishah is play the men, meaning that sometimes as a guy, you don't feel like being strong, you feel like getting upset, you know, you lose control of your emotions, but you've got to play the man and just basically pretend. Just play. Just pretend when you're going through a tough time. Put on a good face and just suck it up and go about your day. That's the way it works. Go to 1 Timothy 5. 1 Timothy 5. 1 Timothy 5. Not only that, but, you know, God created men and women with different skills, different strengths, and different weaknesses. Outside of just physically how they look, outside of women primarily being more emotional, and as the Bible says, the weaker vessel than the man, and just the way people are dressed, just inside between men and women, there is a difference, okay? And here's from an article where it says, there are many biological differences between males and females that are born in the world, males and females that are beyond the obvious differences at a gross macro level, height and weight. Specifically, there are several important physiological differences that have critical implications, including the susceptibility to different diseases and the ability to metabolize different medications. So what they've determined is that there are certain diseases that men are more likely to get than women, just genetically by nature, and there are certain things that women would be more likely to struggle with just with diseases. You say, why is that? God created us differently? That's just the way it works. It also says, in addition to biological differences, men and women differ in many psychological and behavioral aspects. For instance, men perform better on special visual spatial aspects, parentheses, mental rotation compared to women, and women perform better on specific verbal tasks, verbal fluency compared to men. And so one thing it said is women perform better on specific verbal tasks, and I would say, in my opinion, in general, women tend to be a little bit better with grammar and English than men. That's my opinion. What I would also say is men tend to be better with math. Now, are there exceptions to this? Yes, there are, but I'm just saying this is also what he just stated, which is from an article from a non-Christian source. I can state that my sister is smarter than me at every single subject, except math. She's a lot smarter than me. Now, look, there's nothing wrong if a lady's great at math or a guy's great at grammar. I mean, there's nothing wrong with that, obviously. Men and women, I mean, obviously, there's a lot of people in this world, but I'm just saying, in general, there's a difference. And when I was in college, they really tried to push women into majoring in math. They're like, we really got to get more women to major in math. We really need to get more women in engineering, right? And I'm assuming it's probably the same in the Philippines. Probably not a whole lot of women that major in engineering, right? There's nothing wrong with majoring in it. I'm not saying there's anything wrong, but what I'm saying is, in general, it's just not what women tend to prefer. Generally, there's a lot more men that are in math and engineering, and I remember being in college, they were really trying to push, we got to get an equal amount of men and women in engineering. Why? Why not just let people do what they want to do? Why do you have to have an equal amount? Look, there's nothing wrong. If a guy's great at grammar and a woman's great at math, there's nothing wrong with that, but if someone says, hey, I don't have an interest in it, it's not my best subject, why don't you try to force them to be something they're not? Right? There's a difference. There are certain professions where there's more men and certain professions where there's more women, because men and women are different. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm not standing up here saying men are smarter than women. I did not say that. I'm never saying that. I said my sister is more intelligent than me. Okay? Obviously, there's lots of men, lots of women, some men are smarter than other men, some women are smarter than other women. But what I'm saying, I'm not saying who's smarter, I'm just saying there are certain things men are better at and certain things that women are better at, and there's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with there being a difference. I mean, people are created differently, and genders are created very differently, not just physically, not just emotionally, but even in their skills and their weaknesses, there are certain things women tend to be better at than men and men tend to be better at than women. In addition to that, there's also different roles for men versus different roles for women. It says in 1 Timothy 5 verse 8, But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. And in verse 8, the Bible is very specific by using the masculine pronoun. It says, his own, his own house, he hath denied the faith. Now, in most Bible versions, they change that. They change it to gender neutral. They'll say their own, and in some of them, they don't just say his own house. They'll say their own family, including cousins and relatives, and I'm sure that's popular in the Philippines in 2021, because people have this idea, I've got to provide for my 20th cousin 15 times removed or something like that. It's like, there's that sort of mentality. Well, let me just show you what the biblical mentality is. Your individual home. That's what the Bible teaches. Not your seventh cousin. And look, if you want to help out relatives, there's nothing wrong with that, but you're not required biblically speaking. The Bible has individual families. Husband, wife, and whatever kids they have. That's what the Bible teaches. But what it says is, his own, his own house, he hath denied the faith. Now, go to verse 14. Verse 14. I will, therefore, that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. And so the Bible says that for men, their job and what their function is is to provide for the family, and women are to guide the house. Now, look, that doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with a woman working. I mean, Ruth is working in the Bible. I was homeschooled growing up, but my mom worked about 20 hours a week. She transcribed letters, you know, at home. And honestly, in 2021, there's a lot of opportunities to actually work at home and do things like that. You can work online. I mean, for the last year and a half, like, you had to work online pretty much. Whether you're a guy or a girl, there's really no options. That's not saying there's anything wrong with a woman finding a means to make money or anything like that. What the Bible's showing is, there's a different role between men and women. Okay? Different function, different requirements. Now, here's the thing. Now, go to Genesis chapter 2. Genesis 2. Genesis chapter 2. Now, I mentioned that my sister's more intelligent than me, and my sister, she graduated college at a younger age than I started college. And I didn't start college late, okay? I started at the same time as everybody else, but my sister skipped a lot of grades, okay? And, you know what, people always assumed in our hometown, because, you know, I grew up in Bridgeport, West Virginia. There's less than 10,000 people. Everybody knows everybody sort of mentality, you know. West Virginia's not a very populated area. And everybody just assumed my sister was gonna be, like, you know, a lawyer or a doctor or something like that. And my sister got married at 17 when she was in college. Now, she graduated a month after she turned 18. So, which, here, people sometimes graduate earlier than in the U.S., but in the U.S., you start college at 18. And my sister graduated college a month after she turned 18, but she got married a few months before that, and then she ended up being a stay-at-home mom. My sister has 10 kids. And, of course, you know what, my parents heard a lot of people around town criticizing, like, oh, she's wasting her life. She's throwing it away by being a mom. What an insult. And let me just say this. People have different opinions than me all the time. I don't personally go up to them and tell them you're wrong. Now, I preach sermons, but, you know what, if you could disagree with everything I say and do everything the opposite of what I say, I will not go to you individually and tell you how to run your life. Because that's called being rude, right? You preach sermons, and you preach what the Bible says. You give your counsel. You show what the Bible says, give your opinion. I won't go up to you and tell you how to run your home, right? But people did that and criticized my sister like she's throwing away her life. How is raising children throwing away your life? I mean, God designed women to have a desire to have kids and have a family that's not throwing away their life, right? And here's what's so stupid about that. My brother-in-law got his doctorate in mechanical engineering when he's, like, 22 years old or something like that, right? They had plenty of money. It's not like financially... I mean, they had a lot of money. They were doing perfectly fine, right? My brother-in-law was making a six-figure salary a couple years out of college, okay? And that was back then. He was very successful. It's not like they needed the money financially, but it's just funny how people try to push you into doing something. It's like it's the same thing you see in 2021 with other things. If you don't make the choices that other people make, they try to push you and say, well, you got to do it because everybody else is, right? That's not throwing away your life, especially... And you know what? Here's the thing. I'm uplifting the role of women of raising kids. That's an important role. I'm very thankful that my mom homeschooled me. My dad worked. He provided. My dad worked very long and very hard hours to do that, and my mom was with us and she homeschooled us. I'm very thankful that my mom... She had a college degree. She had a master's, and she said, you know what? We're going to go with less money, and you know what? We're going to homeschool the kids. Genesis 2, verse 18. Genesis 2, verse 18. And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make an help meet for him. What the Bible says is that God provided women to be a help meet for the husband, right? Not to be the leader, but to be a help. If you are a help or a helper, it means you're not the one in charge. Right? Go to Genesis 1, verse 27. Genesis 1, verse 27. And in Genesis 1, verse 27, the Bible reads, So God created man in his own image, and the image of God created him. Male and female created he them. Now, notice this verse carefully. Man in his own image. And the image of God created he him. Male and female created he them. Do you notice the Bible saying that man is made in the image of God? You say, Brother Stuckey, what did Jesus Christ look like? Well, one thing I know, he had short hair. Right? I mean, according to this verse, we can prove that. Men and women were created by God, but men are made in the image of God. There's a reason why it's God the Father, not God the Mother, not God the parent. The Son of God died for us, not the child of God. The Son of God died for us. Right? That's not an insult to women. It's just a fact. If you believe the Bible, you have to admit that's a fact. There's nothing to be insulted about. But what the Bible says is, man is made in the image of God. That's what the Bible teaches. And the wife is made as in help meet. Now, there's a lot of religions, like this Mother Goddess doctrine, or Mother God doctrine, promoting a female deity. One of the big ones that is very, very loosely Christian is the World Mission Society. Who knows the World Mission Society? Right? It's this cult that came out of Korea. And at Kaesong Memorial Circle, we've run into them a couple times. And I remember one time, you know, one time this lady comes up to me. I'm sitting down, waiting for everybody else going soul winning. She walks up to me, and she's like, have you ever heard about Mother God? I'm like, what? Mother God? And one other time I talked to them, I actually walked up to a couple of their, like, missionaries or whatever. And I just asked them, you know, I said, just show me what you tell people. I'm just curious. Just show me what you tell people. The first verse they had me go to was Genesis 1, verse 27. Well, that's interesting, because we just looked at it. This is the verse they used to prove Mother God, where it says, in the image of God created He him. This verse proves there is no Mother God. That's the verse. And what they said is, well, I mean, if there's a father, there's got to be a mother. Nope. That's not what the Bible teaches. Right? They used this. That's the first verse that he went to. It's like, that's your best argument, a verse that disproves, you know, what you believe. It's like when unsaved people go to Matthew 7, verses 22 and 23, and see, they had wonderful works, and they didn't make it to heaven, and you're just like, man, right? Turn your Bible to Ephesians 5, Ephesians 5. I mean, the big religion is Hinduism. That embraces a Mother God doctrine, because in Hinduism, every male god has a female counterpart. So, for example, you know, Shiva is one of the big gods in Hinduism, and I think Parvati was the name of his wife, and in the stories, they're married as husband and wife, but what they'll actually say is that it's like the female counterpart to the male, because they basically say that, you know, everything that we are is everything God is, and we're basically God also, and so they'll talk about a Mother God. They believe in a Mother God doctrine in Hinduism. They have a lot of goddesses that are mothers. Other religions that do this sort of thing is Wicca, which is basically like sorcery and Satan worship. They talk about it. The Baha'i faith, which has about 10 to 12 million people. It's an offshoot cult of Islam. The Latter-day Saints. Latter-day Saints teach a Mother Goddess doctrine. Let me actually pull this up to you from my cell phone of what it says, and there's a lot of articles I could go to. I'm just going to read from Wikipedia, because it's more succinct. It's easier to... but it's right in all their doctrines. In Mormonism, Heavenly Mother, or the Mother in Heaven, is the mother of human spirits and the wife of God the Father. Those who accept the Mother in Heaven doctrine trace its origins to Joseph Smith, the founder of the Latter-day Saint movement. The doctrine became more widely known after Smith's death in 1844. So if there's a God the Father, there's got to be a Heavenly Mother. That's basically the argument. And here's the thing with Mormonism, not to go in too big of a rabbit trail, because they say if there's a father, there's got to be a mother. They also say that if there's a child, then there must be a physical union between a husband and wife. And what Mormonism teaches is that Mary slept with God. And what they'll say is, no, no, no, we believe in the virgin birth because she didn't sleep with any mortal man. What kind of a perverted doctrine is that? Another religion that kind of embraces this Mother-God doctrine is the Catholic Church. You say, really, Brother Stuckey? Well, think about Mother Mary. You're a mediatrix, right? It's just like they embrace Mary as much as they do Jesus. They embrace this sort of doctrine, and they call her the Queen of Heaven. Well, if you've read your Bible, that's kind of interesting, because the book of Jeremiah talks about the Queen of Heaven. And it talks about giving false, you know, worshipping this idolatry, this goddess, the Queen of Heaven, and then the Catholic Church thousands of years later, let's just call Mary the Queen of Heaven. No, no, no, it's not the same Queen of Heaven. It's just like it boggles your mind. They do everything the Bible says not to do, right? Look, the feminism movement is an insult to women because what it's basically teaching women is that there's something wrong with being a woman. I don't think there's anything wrong with being a woman. There's a difference between men and women. Point number one, there's a difference between men and women. Point number two, men are the leaders. Men are the leaders, and women are not meant to be the leaders. It says, and one aspect of that is inside the home. The husband is the head of the home, not the wife. It says in Ephesians 5 verse 22, wives submit yourselves unto your own husbands as unto the Lord. Now, the Bible says that wives are to submit to their own husbands. It does not say that wives have to submit to every single man out there. That's not what we're teaching. Look, you in this room, you don't have to submit to me, right? No woman in this room has to submit to me, okay? But if you're married, God blessed you with a husband, then yes, he is the head of that family, okay? And the Bible says submit yourselves. What does it mean to submit? Well, think about how a submarine goes under the water, goes underneath, and it's basically when someone willingly puts themselves underneath somebody else. It's kind of like at work, you have a boss, and you submit yourself to the rules of that company, right? They tell you to do something, you do it. They tell you to clock in at 8 a.m. No, I want to clock in at 8.15. Well, good luck, right? That's not what you do at work, but then people get upset. How dare you say husbands are the head of their homes, right? Verse 23. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church, and he is the savior of the body. Therefore, as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. And the Bible says that wives are to submit to their husbands in everything. You say, Brother Stuckey, what does that mean? It means that as long as your husband does not ask you to commit a sin, then you're supposed to submit to that. If your husband says, you know what, I want to eat chicken tonight at 6 p.m. You know what, according to the Bible, you should actually listen to what he says. If he says, no, I want beef tonight, you know what, you should listen to what he says. Now, look, hopefully you married a guy that's a loving guy that actually cares about you and is a good Christian person, because we see that good characters in the Bible actually treat their spouses with respect. Look at Boaz, for example. Now, if you married someone that's a jerk, well, that's not my problem. That was a choice you made, right? But it doesn't change the fact that that's the authority structure that's given you. So as a wife, you are to submit to what your husband says. That's what the Bible teaches. And look, for people that are mad, you know you're not mad at me. You're just mad at what the Bible says. Go to Genesis chapter 3, Genesis 3. But here's what's funny about it. I mean, let's say a woman works as a waitress at a restaurant. You know what, she's going to have managers and bosses, and she submits herself to all of those bosses. She goes to a table, and they say, I want French fries. She's got to do it. Right? She's submitting to all these people. So why is it so crazy to say that instead of submitting to hundreds of people out there, you just submit to the husband that God gave you? I mean, isn't it just bizarre, the world we live in? Because I'm not sitting here saying you've got to submit to thousands of people out here in this world. I'm saying submit to your husband. Right? But in the world, if you get a secular job, you know, you have people that are above you that you're submitting to and listening to what they say. Genesis 3, verse 16. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception. In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children, and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. Now, this is obviously the curse that comes in Genesis 3 as a result of eating the forbidden fruit. And one thing it says here is that the woman in sorrow is going to bring forth children. So according to the Bible, the reason why there's a lot of pain during pregnancy is because of the sin of eating the fruit. Right? Now, look, everybody would agree with that. Right? There's a lot of pain in pregnancy. It's not a fun thing. It's difficult. In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children. Well, it's funny because people agree with the first half of the verse. But somehow the second half of the verse doesn't count. Because what the Bible says here is, Thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. So the Bible says the husband rules over his wife. The husband is the head of that marriage. And look, you can get mad at me all you want, but that's what the Bible teaches. There's no denying it. Okay? But the Bible says your desire is to your husband. So according to the Bible, if you actually do things God's way, you're actually going to be happier. When you fight against this and rebel against this, you're going to be miserable. But the Bible says, If ye know these things, happy are ye, if ye do them. And inside of yourself, you can fight it all you want, but you have that desire on the inside to submit to your husband. And when you rebel against it, you're going to be miserable. And unfortunately, Christians in 2021, they do both. They kind of submit, they kind of don't. It's like, well, I don't feel like submitting, so I don't. And then they end up being miserable. It's like, well, imagine that. You're miserable because you're not doing things God's way. Go to Isaiah chapter 3. Isaiah 3. Isaiah 3. And let me pull up to you something that I thought was kind of interesting here. And it was from the recent Miss Universe pageant with Miss Philippines, who, of course, everybody knows is a lesbian. He's a tomboy. They asked her about her tattoo at the beauty pageant. If you're upset at calling it a beauty pageant, whatever. It's a beauty pageant. And she said, So this is a cherry blossom. I got it on my 23rd birthday, and I got it to celebrate my womanhood. You're a lesbian. Celebrate your womanhood. You're a tomboy. What are you talking about? It's like you couldn't be more masculine if you tried. You got your tattoo to celebrate your womanhood. You know what she's saying? She's like, you know, this feminism movement, yes we can sort of attitude. That's what she's saying. Like, being a woman is by acting like a guy? Right? I mean, is the world crazy or am I crazy? Is the world crazy or am I insane in 2021? But it's like you get a tattoo. You're a lesbian. And you get a tattoo to celebrate being feminine and being a woman. It's like, what in the world? What kind of world do we live in in 2021? One thing is in the home, men are the leaders. Now, here's the thing. Inside the home, the wife is the head of the children, whether they're a boy or a girl. I'm not saying that your five-year-old boy gets to boss you around. I mean, obviously, you're the head of that. But here's the thing. If you're going to argue and say, well, I don't agree with this, Brother Stuckey. I think wives and husbands are equally in charge. Well, then why aren't children equally in charge too? Sounds like you've got a bit of a double standard there. Right? If you're going to reject what the Bible says about husbands being above the wives and wives being above the children and say, no, husbands and wives are equal, wouldn't that make the children at the same level too if you're so offended by one person being in charge of another? Right? In society, men are supposed to be the leaders. Isaiah 3, verse 12, As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. And it's talking about basically being under a society that's under a curse. And the Bible says, you know what? It's a curse if women rule over you. You said, Brother Stuckey, how could the Bible say that? Well, look, realize this. A Bible-believing Christian, a Bible-believing Christian that's a woman, is not going to be wanting to be ruling over and being a president and the leader of the country. Now, in America, it's like, look, everybody who was Christian or even Christian, when Hillary Clinton was running, it's like, oh, no, not Hillary Clinton. It's like she's the Wicked Witch of the West or something like that. And now it's like you've got Kamala Harris. You've got like the devil as the vice president. And it's just like everybody who's even loosely a Christian is just like, it's just repulsive. See, that's the sort of woman that wants to be in charge, though. The Jezebels, the Athalayas. That's the sort of woman. Now, I'm not going to go to for sake of time to shorten this sermon, but I have the story here in my notes of Ahab and Jezebel. And in that kingdom, you basically have the leader is Jezebel. You say, well, Ahab's the king. Well, but Jezebel's above Ahab in that relationship. He's just listening to the orders of his wife, and then she's like, oh, don't be sad that they won't give you the land. I'll handle it for you, honey. And then she just has this person put to death. That's the sort of person that's going to want to be in power, some bloodthirsty, evil person. Look, with Kamala Harris, the vice president of the U.S., they've shown many cases of her lying to get people, because she worked as an attorney general in San Francisco, because she wanted to get people arrested and charged with crimes of murder because it makes her look good. We caught the criminal, and I was the one in charge, even though she lied about the evidence and was dishonest about that stuff. But why? Well, that's the sort of woman that wants to be in power. That's the reality. Go to 1 Timothy 3. 1 Timothy chapter 3. 1 Timothy 3. 1 Timothy chapter 3. What's kind of crazy about this sermon is, if I preached this sermon 100 years ago, people would be like, of course, well, why'd you even preach that? Everybody already knows that, right? I mean, everything you said is just like, of course. I mean, of course, who would argue that husbands are the head of their homes? But in 2021, a lot has changed. I mean, even 21 years ago, 2000, if you preached this, people would be like, yeah, it's not surprising. I mean, obviously there's a difference between men and women. Obviously, Brother Stuckey. But now they're teaching in school, well, maybe there's not really a difference. It's just all in the head. Like, everyone's just a little bit crazy or something, right? Inside of the church, also, men are to be the leaders above the ladies leading the church. It says here in 1st Timothy 3, one aspect is obviously when it comes to running the church, but it says in 1st Timothy 3, verse 1, this is a true saying, if a person, oh, wait, sorry. I misread that. If a man desires the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it says a man. It doesn't say a person. It doesn't say a woman. Well, Brother Stuckey, that just represents mankind. Well, let's keep reading. A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife. Look, it's pretty difficult for a woman to be the husband of one wife. Now, granted, in 2021, that's becoming a lot more common also. But, look, the Bible's saying that there's a man who's the leader. Pastors should be men. You say there's something wrong with someone like Joyce Meyer? Yes. It's not a role that God has given women. Now, look, this is not saying that women cannot be godly. This is not saying that women can't do something great. I mean, we go soul-winning. We have men and women go out soul-winning. Praise the Lord for it. Because, in general, people are more receptive to women at the door than men, I would say. So praise the Lord for the ladies at our church that go out and preach the gospel. Because, honestly, they're probably going to get more saved than we will as men. Because people feel a little bit more comfortable talking to them at the door. Right? But it doesn't change the fact that even though... Look, a woman at a church could be the godliest person at our church. But it doesn't change the fact that she's not going to be the one preaching the sermons. Because that's not a role God has given women. It says, Not given a wine, no striker, not greedy, a filthy lucre, But patient, not a brawler, not covetous, One that ruleth well his own house, Having his children in subjection with all gravity. For if a man know not how to rule his own house, How shall he take care of the church of God? So when it comes to a pastor or bishop or an elder, One person runs the church, They're in charge, And they oversee that church. They're going to be a woman. Right? And it doesn't matter that it's common in 2021. Well, this is one of those great Christian debates from the last 500 years. Can women be pastors? Well, debates aren't all that much fun when you just show what the Bible says and say, Well, debate over. Right? It's not just with being a pastor then. Number one, on our Wednesday night services, You know, I preach in Pompanga on Tuesday. I don't come here on Wednesday. But we have a rotating schedule of men preaching. Not women. And look, even if there was a woman at our church That memorized the entire Bible And knew the Bible better than anybody else, She would never preach a sermon at our church. Even if she was more godly than other people. You say, Brother Stuckey, how could you say that? It's not a matter of saying who's the godliest. I've said before That I'm not saying I'm the godliest person in this church Just because I'm preaching sermons. It's just the fact that I'm the one running the church. You could get more rewards at the judgment seat of Christ than me, But it doesn't change the fact That you still have one person in charge running a church. Okay, that's the way it works. But even outside of that, not just with preaching, When it comes to song leading, Let me just say we will never have a woman Leading the songs at our church. Now, churches could see that differently, And that's fine because we do allow women in our music ministry, And I don't see anything wrong with that, But what I view is this is a very front and center position, And you know what? We're not going to have women doing the song leading. Because we wouldn't want them doing the prayer on behalf of our church. You know, you do the first song. Well, let's have a guy come up here to do the prayer, right? I mean, it's not something we're going to do at our church. You say, why? Because inside of the church, inside of society, Inside of the home, God designed men to be the leaders and not women. That's the way God did it. Now turn in your Bible to Titus 2. Titus 2. Titus 2. And look, you can be upset all you want, But it doesn't change the fact of what the Bible says. I mean, you can try to, you know, Do some mental gymnastics with 1 Timothy 3 verses 1 through 5, And look up every version, Every Bible version online, I'm sure you're going to find something That's going to give you what you want, If that's what you want to do, right? You can just accept what the Bible says, And not just accept what the Bible says, Accept by nature what you already know is true, Instead of fighting against it. Number one, there's a difference between men and women. Number two, men are meant to be the leaders. Number three, instead of freeing women, Feminism actually puts women into bondage. It does the exact opposite of what it claims it's trying to do. Notice what it says in Titus 2 verse 1, But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine, That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, Sound in faith, in charity, in patience. The aged women likewise, That they be in behaviors become with holiness, Not false accusers, not given to much wine, Teachers of good things. And notice this, that they may teach the young women To be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children. Now the Bible shows here that the younger women, Which is referring to people that are newly married, Or newly having kids, You know what? Them adapting to being a wife and a mom, It might actually be a difficult thing. Right? When you get married, You're entering into something brand new. And look, as a guy, you're entering into something new, As being a husband, and then when you have kids, Being a father. And look, as a woman, when you get married, It's a different role you have in life, There's going to take time to adapt to it. Being a mom, there's going to take time to adapt to it. But see, here's the thing about this, If from the age of one year old, Right when you first start talking, First start walking or whatever, You're just being trained, Hey, you know what? As a girl, you want to be as much like a guy as possible. You know what? It's probably going to be a really tough adjustment When you get married and become a mom, Because you've been trained for 25 years With the other sort of mentality. Whereas if at a young age you're being trained to say, You know what? Let's uplift women for the role that God gave them, It's going to be a much easier time adapting to that role Of being a wife and being a mom. Verse 5, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, Good, obedient to their own husbands, That the word of God be not blasphemed. And look, I believe that if you have girls at a young age, Try to get them interested in things that are feminine at a young age. Try to get guys interested in things that are masculine at a young age. Get them prepared for that role, even at a very young age. Right? And look, you can argue with me that there's a difference between men and women, But let me just say this, There's an obvious difference between my daughter and my son. Not just how they look, but how they act at a young age. Our daughter is a lot more emotional than our son is. Right? She can start crying, get very emotional, And our son, not as much. Another example is, you know, My wife got like a doll for my daughter to play with, And it's got like this really small stroller, And she's playing with it and everything. Zeph, you know, grabbed it one day and ripped off the legs, And ripped off the arm. You say, Why? There's a difference between boys and girls. Right? There's a difference between boys and girls. And look, it's not something that by, you know, We train them, because I wasn't happy he broke it. I mean, we paid for it. But it's like, there's a difference between boys and girls. Right? There's a difference in the things that they're interested in. It is what it is. Right? Turn to Proverbs 31. Proverbs 31. Proverbs chapter 31. Proverbs 31. Now, ultimately, the movement of feminism was created by none other than the god of this world, Which is obviously the devil. And it, unfortunately, it doesn't really just put women in bondage. It also puts men in bondage, and families, and everybody in bondage. Because if you've got a marriage, and then the wife is just refusing to act like a wife, And wants to be like the husband, Then it's going to affect the entire family. Right? And so, unfortunately, that's what's happening in our society today. And just, you know, one obvious thing to understand is this, That when it comes to men and women, Men are able to have children at a much older age than women can. Right? Women are able to have kids generally up to the age of 40, But even when you get close to 40, sometimes for some women it's very difficult. Right? It's a lot easier, you know, going through pregnancy when you're 30 years old, And 40 can be very difficult and everything. There's a certain amount of limit. Let's say, for example, you have a woman at a young age who says, You know what, my goal in life is to be like Bill Gates. Right? Or be like Donald Trump and be a CEO of a major company. And she makes it. She all of a sudden becomes a CEO by the age of 40. And she just, you know, never wanted to get married, never wanted to have kids. And all of a sudden she did it. And then she realizes, you know what, all this money and all this power, And I'm not even happy. And then all of a sudden she finally realizes, you know what, God designed me to be married and have a family. Well, there's no guarantee you're going to meet the right person immediately. Right? I mean, just because you decide today, well, you know what, I want to get married. It doesn't mean you're getting married tomorrow. Right? It's not like this is like some genie in a lamp. I got three wishes. All right, I want to be married now. Now I want to have kids. It doesn't work that way. Right? And, you know what, honestly, there's only a certain time limit we're going to be able to have kids. And if it's too late, I mean, unless God performs, you know, a miracle like Sarah or something like that, it's not going to happen. Right? So, unfortunately, it puts women into bondage. It says here in Proverbs 31 verse 27, Proverbs 31 verse 27, and it says, Now, when it comes to being a virtuous woman in this chapter, you know, there's only one woman ever listed as virtuous, and that woman was Ruth. And she was not married when she was called virtuous, and she was working, so you can obviously be virtuous, and whether you're married or not, and if you're working and stuff like that. But what you see here in Proverbs 31 is a woman who's successful in the home is someone who's working hard. And, you know what, it's a much easier thing to do if you've been training at a young age for this. Right? Now, look, obviously I have no idea when my kids are going to be married how old they're going to be. And, you know what, I do believe that if a woman's not married, obviously, you know, unless you have a family that's providing your financial needs, then there's nothing wrong with working. There's nothing sinful about it. That's what Ruth is doing, and that might be your situation. And I'm not saying it's wrong. Everybody's got different situations, and that's perfectly fine. But what I'm saying is it doesn't change the fact that the role that God gave for men and God gave for women is very different. Go to Proverbs 22, Proverbs 22. We'll look at one last place, Proverbs 22. Proverbs 22. And, you know what, I've seen extremes on this topic. I've seen the extreme on the other side where, you know, someone was a lady and they didn't have anyone providing their needs and they had like major debts and they're borrowing money, but I'm so godly I'm not going to work. It's like, no, that's not godly at all. Right? It's like you need to work and provide your needs if you owe a lot of money. Right? That's not godly to say, well, I'm so godly and I'm so spiritual that as a woman I'm not going to work. Well, it's like you don't have a husband providing your needs. You've got to work then. Right? The more godly thing would be like Ruth who was actually working in that sort of situation. Okay? So you can go to extremes on either side about this, but, you know, one thing you need to take away from this is just there's a difference between men and women, and the things I showed you are just very clear in the Bible, and you've got to make your decision on the choices you're going to make. Proverbs 22, verse 6. It says this. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Of course, we believe that, you know what, if somebody gets saved, they're saved forever. It's eternal life. You can't lose it. But that doesn't mean that they're going to live a godly life, and one aspect of training up a child is preparing them for what the future is, and you know what? With our son Zephaniah, I want him to be prepared to be a man and be a leader and to run his home. I want our daughter to prepare to one day be married and have kids and prepare for those steps, which means, you know, at the age of... Look, I think it's good if a guy knows how to cook. You know, that's a good thing. But, you know, for certainly I want my daughter to learn how to cook when she's, you know, growing up and do these things. For a guy, you know, it's okay if you don't know how to cook. You can just eat cereal or whatever. Hopefully you know how to make a peanut butter sandwich. That's okay. You know, as a guy, we're perfectly fine, you know, whatever. But especially as a lady, you know, things like that, you know what? Those are things they need to learn at a young age. And if they don't know them, you know what? It's going to be a rude awakening one day because it's going to be a difficult adjustment. You say, what does that mean, Brother Stuckey? Well, let me give you an example. My oldest niece, you know, when she was like 8 or 9 years old, she immediately wanted to, you know, play with baby dolls and stuff like that. But she also, she wanted to change the diapers of the younger kids. Praise the Lord for that. It's a great thing because, you know what, that is... And look, I know how to change a diaper. I do change diapers sometimes, okay? You know, as much as I hate it, sometimes the situation, it's necessary. It is what it is. But it's just like, that's certainly a skill that you want ladies to know how to do because, you know what, Lord willing, if God blesses them with children one day, that's going to be something they're going to do. And guess what? Things like that, they might seem very easy if you know how to do them, but honestly, it can be difficult if you don't have experience. It's better to know those things. Because otherwise, you know, a woman's going to first get married, she doesn't know how to cook, doesn't know how to clean, doesn't know how to change diapers or anything like that, and then she's going to be stressed all the time and upset and frustrated and yelling, saying, I hate life. I hate life. It's like, you know what? We need to prepare our kids at a young age for the role that God has for us. And let me tell you something. Feminism is one of the biggest lies you're going to see. It's nothing about being feminine. Right? You look at that word feminism, what they're claiming is, you know, well, you know, we're helping women be all that they can be. You're teaching women to be like a man. I mean, isn't that an insult to women saying there's something wrong with being a woman? There's something wrong with having kids. There's something wrong with raising a family. They're teaching women that your only value is being like a man. But God, I mean, I would be pretty frustrated if I was being taught that there was something wrong with the way that God created me, that I was born as a woman, and you know what? Oh, that's so frustrating. I mean, it's just like, that would be pretty frustrating. But you know what? There's actually a benefit to being a woman. There's a benefit to being a man. Just embrace the role that God has given you in 2021. Let's close in a word of prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing us to be here today and getting to see your word on this topic. And help everyone just take this sermon to their hearts and to look at what the Bible says. And not to get mad at what the Bible says, but just apply the Bible the way they should and just see that this is straight what you say, God. And help us just to embrace our roles that we have, everybody in this room. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
