Good morning, everybody. Welcome to Verity Baptist Church and take out your bulletin here today. And we'll go through some announcements. And our verse of the week is 2 Timothy 3, verse 6. The Bible reads, For of this sort are they which creep into houses and lead captives, silly women laden with sins, led away with diverse lusts. And that's a great verse that will tie into our first sermon here today. We are a family integrated church, meaning children and infants are welcome during the services. We do have a mother baby room back there for your convenience. And then the men's restroom and then the lady's restroom. We have the basic rules on the mother baby room down there below. On the next page, we have our service times listed. First service is at 10 a.m. Usually the second service starts around 1115, just a 10-minute break. This first sermon is going to be one of the longest sermons I've ever preached, though. And I will shorten the second sermon, but the first sermon is specifically kind of like the missions trip sermon. And so we will still get done at a normal time, but the first sermon is going to be like three times as long as the second one. Our Wednesday evening Bible study is listed there in the bulletin. Our official soul winning times are listed there as well. And of course, we do have soul winning this afternoon starting around 145. The soul winning anthem and tip starts around 130 and then soul winning at 145. Our salvation and baptisms are listed there. And this will really help us out to get our totals. We've got all the totals from the school ministry. What we do not have are the totals from the parks and the extra soul winning. We have a sheet over there on the round table. So if in between the services, if you could just write down your total number of salvations, not counting yesterday in our Saturday marathon soul winning, we got that total. And not counting the school ministry, but any other unreported salvations. It'll just make it a lot easier to get the final results for us. So it's right there on the table. But we're going to have a Friday service. Instead of the Sunday service, it's going to be changed to Friday. So we do have a church service there on Friday night. And of course, a lot of people at our church have decided to come back early to be here when Pastor Menes is preaching. And of course, we'd love to have you here if you're able to do that. If not, though, Pastor Menes will also be preaching on Tuesday in Pampanga. That would be another opportunity to see him and to meet him. it should also please pleasure pastor and the preaching of your word look for this day we love you in decent we pray amen all right we are in Genesis chapter 1 as I mentioned in the introduction now there's gonna be a longer spirit in the in the announcements I mentioned it's gonna be a longer sermon and we're gonna have a long introduction because they have the impact on the scripture we're looking at I want to kind of just give a background on this and I'll give you the name of the sermon here in a little bit but first thing I want you to understand is if you look up the word creep in the Bible it appears in 39 different verses of either the form creep creeping or creepeth and the first reference to the word creep in the Bible is actually found in Genesis chapter 1 notice what the Bible says here in Genesis 1 verse 24 Genesis 1 verse 24 and God said let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth after his kind and it was so and God made the beast of the earth after his kind and cattle after their kind and everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind and God saw that it was good verse 26 and God said let us make man in our image after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth now in Genesis chapter 1 we have very broad categories of animals and as you go in the Bible the Bible gets a little bit more specific here in Genesis 1 that gives you very broad categories and it mentions the creeping thing in verse 26 it tells you why it calls it the creeping thing the creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth so it's describing what it actually does and why it calls it the creeping thing now of course the first thing that pops in your head is probably an insect right and certainly an insect fits underneath this of a creeping thing but that's not the only animal that fits under this idea of a creeping thing verse 30 it says into every beast of the earth and every fowl of the air into everything that creepeth upon the earth where in there is life I've given every herb for meat and it was so and God saw everything that he had made and behold it was very good and the evening in the morning were the sixth day and according to the Bible even the creeping thing was a good thing that God made now of course we look at the creeping thing and the spiders and you know various insects and they're just kind of gross it's like why did God make them or whatever but God said that when he made everything it was very good okay go to Leviticus chapter 11 Leviticus chapter 11 in your Bible Leviticus chapter 11 now the Bible mentioned the beasts of the earth and there's a difference in the size of the creeping thing and the beast of the earth so for example a lion would not be a creeping thing right a Jaguar would not be a creeping thing a zebra would not be a creeping thing and of course the word lion is in the Bible but you know some words and some modern-day animals that we have the Bible doesn't specifically mention them mention them they could have derived from another animal that is mentioned in the Bible or the Bible just does not mention them but a creeping thing is referring to a much smaller animal insects are the most obvious thing the thing that we think of they creep upon the earth that's what it's saying but that's not actually the only animal that's being referred to Leviticus chapter 11 verse 29 Leviticus chapter 11 verse 29 these also shall be unclean on you among the creeping things that creep upon the earth so once again it is called a creeping thing why it describes the action that it does it creeps upon the earth and then it mentions the weasel and the mouse and the tortoise after his kind and the ferret and the chameleon and the lizard and the snail and the mole these are unclean you among all that creep whosoever doth touch them when they be dead shall be unclean and so the even so the Bible mentions various animals and one of the ones it mentions is the mouse right and when you're looking at these creatures that are being mentioned aren't the creeping things a bit gross aren't the insects and the mice and the rats I mean aren't they a bit gross right obviously I would be afraid of a large beast because it could possibly kill you but there's just something gross about the way the bugs look and the way they move and the way they creep it's just kind of weird it's kind of gross and the Bible mentions specifically the creeping thing and it says they're unclean now it should be obvious to you but hey don't eat the insects it's gross it's not good for you right they're creeping they're unclean they're disgusting this is what the Bible is trying to put inside your head go to verse 41 verse 41 and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination it shall not be eaten now of course in our modern day we can eat whatever food that we want but at the same time the animals that are on the restricted list they're actually very unclean and unhealthy for you and so obviously you know we eat pig and pig tastes good it's not the healthiest meat though and of course you look at some of these other creatures that are on the restriction list they would not be healthy for you they would not be good for you now yeah there are a lot of cultures that eat these sorts of things but you know I'm not saying it's a sin but if you're wise this is not your normal meat that you're eating you say why it's gonna be bad for you it's unclean it's it's not healthy it says here in verse 42 whatsoever goeth upon the belly and whatsoever goeth upon all four or whatsoever hath more feet among all creeping things that creep upon the earth then he shall not eat for they are an abomination you shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creepeth neither shall you make yourselves unclean with them that you should be defiled thereby for I am the Lord your God you shall therefore sanctify yourselves and you shall be holy for I am holy neither shall you defy yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth for I am the Lord that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt to be your God you shall therefore be holy for I am holy this is the law of the beast and of the fowl and of every living creature that moveth in the waters and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth to make a difference between the unclean and the clean and between the beasts that may be eaten and the beasts that may not be eaten now go to 2 Timothy chapter 3 2 Timothy chapter 3 the Bible is not painting insects in a positive light or the mole or the mouse it's not it's saying it's unclean it's it's abominable it's saying it's gross what's interesting is I said there's 39 verses that use the word either creep creep it or creeping some of those verses use it more than once but 39 different verses and the first 38 are referring to insects mice and these gross little creatures let me show you the last reference to this word because the Bible is trying to teach you something 2 Timothy chapter 3 verse 6 for of this sort are they which creep into houses and lead captive silly women laden with sins led away with diverse lusts the last reference to the word creep or creeping or creepeth in our King James Bible is referring to false prophets false religious leaders you say what is the Bible trying to say the Bible is trying to say the false prophets are like cockroaches false prophets are like mice now there's a lot of different creeping animals for the purpose of this sermon I think the two most common at least in this part of the world the word a piece which is cockroach in English and the mouse and so I want to put inside your head the cockroach and the mouse here today because probably most of us in this room have probably had both of those creatures inside of our houses at some point and look if you're a normal person you don't want cockroaches in your house if you're a normal person you don't want mice inside your house look we're not over in India where we worship and bow down to these animals they're gross they're unclean they're disgusting and a normal person would not want these inside of their house and the first 38 references the Bible saying the false prophet is like a cockroach a mouse a spider a gross little creature the last reference to creep is referring to a false prophet that is the analogy that the Bible is trying to put inside your head say pastor why would God make these gross little creatures maybe because God is trying to explain to you how disgusting and weak and sick and abominable the false prophet actually is because you read it it's hard to understand it's hard to fathom how people can be that bad and that evil and then you think of a cockroach it's like I get it God that's pretty nasty that's pretty disgusting now I understand you know I read the Bible but when I actually saw the cockroach in action I get it now false prophets are gross they're disgusting they're abominable turning Bible Leviticus chapter 11 Leviticus 11 now I mentioned on Wednesday to not waste your time on various things like paying attention to news so maybe you haven't heard at all but you know the biggest spiritual rat in this world the biggest spiritual cockroach could very likely die today referring to obviously Pope Francis he's pretty much on his deathbed he's in critical condition just a day or two ago the Vatican said no no he's perfectly fine now they're like critical condition they're worried that he's gonna die you say pastor how many tears are you gonna shed if Pope Francis kicks the bucket and dies and goes to hell well you know I love math let's start adding some math to the missions trip okay out of this I zero tears out of this I zero tears zero plus zero equals zero tears coming from me if Pope Francis dies you say why he is the biggest spiritual rat on the planet he's the biggest spiritual cockroach in the world today why would I be upset if a false prophet dies look if I see a dead mouse I don't shed any tears if I see a dead cockroach I don't shed any tears in fact if I see them in my house I do my best to kill them because they're disgusting they're gross and Pope Francis is the biggest spiritual cockroach in the world and I will shed zero tears if that creeping little spiritual false prophet dies today zero tears are gonna come for me when it comes to the false prophets being like a mouse or cockroach I was trying to get God's number of perfection seven different points and then I realized cuz I was stuck at six actually six is probably more fitting for the spiritual false prophet isn't it so we got six points here today now I do want to mention this that I don't believe when the Bible is comparing the false prophet to a creeping you know cockroach or spider or mouse I don't think that God is trying to bring every creature inside of your head that creeps although most would be fitting and the reason why I say not everyone is you think of the ants and the end is mentioned very positively in the Bible but what's interesting about the ants is when we go through these points these points don't really fit with ants that much there's actually a big difference between a cockroach and an ant look I don't like to have a bunch of ants in my house but they don't gross me out I mean the ants in okay animal it doesn't really bug me but there's something about a cockroach when you look at it where it's just like this is gross you say well pastor I don't feel that way well no offense I think that's strange because cockroaches are disgusting cockroaches are gross mice are disgusting mice are gross and those are the two creatures I want to drive inside of your head here today as I talk about the creeping six characteristics of creeping false prophets point number one they are dirty a mouse is a dirty animal a cockroach is a dirty animal what's amazing to me is you can look up any animal online and they will say well it's not really dirty it's just misunderstood right like I preach this sermon on pigs it's like well a false understanding I preach that like a year ago a false understanding about pigs is they're dirty just because they wallow in the mire it's like that means they're dirty you idiots and you go online or my sturdy mice dirty creatures and there are a lot of people defending mice they're not really dirty and you have the common sense inside your head is like no I'm pretty sure mice are right you see them climbing out of a sewer they're pretty dirty creatures here's what says in Leviticus 11 verse 29 these also shall be unclean unto you among the creeping things that creep upon creep upon the earth the weasel and the mouse and the tortoise after his kind what's another word for unclean dirty and I said point number one they are dirty creatures they are unclean they are not clean the cockroach and the mouse according to the Bible is dirty it's unclean verse 30 and the ferret and the chameleon and the lizard and the snail and the mole these are unclean to you among all that creep whosoever doth touch them when they be dead shall be unclean until they even why would you be unclean if you touched a cockroach or a mouse because it's dirty and you touch it and you're gonna be dirty now look you know we have cockroaches sometimes at our house usually the small ones and I prefer to either smash it with my shoe or get like a tissue or napkin to just pinch it you know sometimes because those little critters are very fast sometimes you see it and you don't want to let it get away and it's like BAM if you're like me and then what do I do right after that I wash my hands you say why cuz they're dirty they're gross I don't want to do that but it's like I don't want that dirty creature inside my house I'm gonna kill it and I can't risk letting it get away you say why don't you want them in the house they're dirty they're unclean and if you have them in the house and you're around an environment that is very unclean then you're gonna be unclean you're gonna be dirty turn your Bible to Jude 1 Jude 1 and in fact this is what it says from AI overview which is kind of like the Google default kind of like chat GBT I guess it says no mice are not dirty animals and in fact they groom themselves often now look I do appreciate chat GPT and AI overview because they're very good at giving you some information right there is proof that you can't necessarily trust everything that they say number one the Bible said they're dirty but common sense tells you they're dirty they're not clean you know over in India they've got that famous rat temple which is like the greatest spiritual experience ever where people just are in there and there's like thousands upon thousands of rats and you know there's no restrictions the rats are just using the bathroom just eating whatever people have the rats you know crawling over them and I remember just like reading online you know like what is it trip advisor the reviews and people and a lot of people said it was like the greatest experience ever they're like my feet were in the milk while the the rats were drinking the milk out of the same dish of milk and I'm like there are some strange people in this world but one of the things I read it made me start to laugh where the person said like I really expected a great experience but it was a lot dirtier than I expected I'm just thinking what did you expect at a rat temple it's not just images of rats it's called the rat temple because they're rats and if you accidentally step in one and kill it you got to buy like a golden or silver rat outside the temple as an offering because you accidentally killed one of their gods right but rats and mice and cockroaches they're dirty creatures they're disgusting creatures they're very dirty in fact one proof of this is that both mice and cockroaches are on the list of animals that practice copra fagae and I might be mispronouncing that but that means that you eat dung you eat poop both mice and cockroaches eat poop you say pastor I mean this is not the most pleasant sermon yeah I'm preaching about mice and cockroaches it's not going to be the most pleasant sermon because I'm trying to drive in your head how wicked and disgusting and dirty the false prophets are and I can't think of something more dirty than just that it's gross you say why did why do mice gross you out why do cockroaches gross you out maybe because they do that it's pretty disgusting and of course you know what is one of the secrets to getting rid of mice and cockroaches in your house clean the house why is that because they like dirty environments right you say what does this have to do with the false prophets look there's a wrong assumption that people have most people in this world will look at someone of another religion that's a spiritual leader and they will think I don't really agree with what they teach but they're a nice person I mean yeah it's kind of weird these Buddhist monks that shave their head and put on like this orange giant scarf or whatever it's kind of weird I wouldn't do that but you know I think they're very spiritual in a nice person and sincere or they'll look at you know a Hindu Swami yeah it's kind of weird that they got the red dot or the three white lines in their head he's kind of strange what they believe is a bit weird they got all these gods and stuff but they're a nice person or they might even look at the Catholic priest and say hey because look aren't don't most kids growing up here the Philippines think that the Catholic priest first thing you to Catholic Church and they do what mono to the Catholic priest to give reverence to get respect why because they think the Catholic priest is a nice person even if they don't believe in Catholicism they would still say the Catholic priest is nice Pope Francis is nice all these other I mean I don't believe in Joel Osteen but he's a nice person that is what people think if I was saying no they're like cockroaches they're like mice it's not just saying well they've got false beliefs no no no they are dirty because look the Bible mentioned clean and unclean and holy and unholy and it's giving the physical example to understand the spiritual and these creatures are unclean and when you compare that to the false prophet they are dirty unclean sinful creatures and they act just like animals you say what are some examples getting drunk all the time Catholic Church that the Catholic priest is pretty much you know wasted at the end of the service just drinking all the wine how about doing drugs that's pretty unclean how about just going out and fornicating with a bunch of people you say no no no the spiritual leaders don't do that have you not seen all the scandals with the Catholic priest have you not seen the scandals with other religious leaders it happens all the time how's that possible because they're false prophets they're unclean they're dirty they're like a spiritual mouse they're like a spiritual cockroach they're very sinful they're very dirty they're very disgusting creatures to chapter 1 Jude chapter 1 Jude 1 verse 3 beloved and so you know I told you that the word creep appears in 39 verses creep creeping or creep it and that's true but there's actually the past tense of creep because the 39th reference is in 2nd Timothy 3 which we looked at the last reference the 40th and final is also referring to false prophets I think God's trying to teach you something when the first 38 are referring to the mouse and then the last two the false prophets verse 3 beloved when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the cats there are some huge huge rats here I mean I'm amazed how they can really so I remember seeing this rat crawl into the sewer when I was out walking one time I'm amazed how could be so big and find a way to just fit inside a small little space I mean it's kind of scary right but in all seriousness having having cats around the area it's like you just don't see mice and rats in our area because there's just a lot of stray cats that are running around and you know what that's far better than dealing with the mouse but when you think of mice and you think of cockroaches they hate light you turn on the light they'll run easy well why is that well they're they're both nocturnal animals they prefer to be awake at nighttime and asleep in the light what's interesting about this is the vast majority of creeping animals are nocturnal but the vast majority of larger animals are like us they're awake during the day and they sleep at night isn't it interesting the disgusting little creeping things they hate the light they're awake when it's dark and of course as a human that's kind of weird obviously you know you might work a job where you know you work through the night or whatever and City it's like and that's where we stayed our second night on our travel but what I'm saying is that you know as humans you know we're awake during the day we sleep at night but the creeping things are usually nocturnal including both the cockroach and the mouse so you won't you won't really see mice awake as much during the day but if you've ever woken up early in the morning and if you have a light of the world is Jesus you think of the Bible you think of God's Word that's right you say well wait a minute but wait a minute spiritual false prophets they do like God's Word no they don't they hate God's actual word and they hate the actual preaching of God's Word I mean didn't the Pharisees try to kill Jesus over and over and over you say why well the Bible tells us in John chapter 3 verse 19 and this is the condemnation that light is come into the world and men love darkness rather than light why because their deeds were evil now our church is is not a small church but we're not a mega church and we're never going to be a mega church you say why because at our church I just preach the truth and although you're here because you want to hear God's Word isn't it true that most people don't want to hear God's Word isn't sure that most people want to live a sinful life and never have somebody tell them no you're wrong you need to make a change why because their deeds are evil according to the Bible verse 20 for everyone that doeth evil hated the light neither cometh to the light lest his deeds should be reproved but he that doeth truth cometh to the light that his deeds Jesus is addressing a man by the name of Nicodemus and Nicodemus was a Pharisee but in John 3 Nicodemus is not actually a bad guy but he's a Pharisee and he's hanging out with a bunch of Pharisees and what's interesting is that if you go to verse 1 of the chapter it says in John 3 verse 1 there's a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus a ruler of the Jews the same came to Jesus by night you say well why is he coming by night well because he's afraid of getting caught coming during the day and the thing is if you are hanging out with a bunch of spiritual cockroaches you're gonna start acting like a spiritual cockroach too and I think that's kind of one thing Jesus trying to say like why why are you acting like a spiritual cockroach I mean if you're not like them why are you hanging out with them and you know one thing I would love to ask a lot of Baptist preachers if you really believe salvation is graced by grace through faith why are you hanging out with a bunch of false prophets that saying the same reason why we're not going to have high-level politicians come in here and speak you say why because of the fact we believe salvation is by grace through faith and we're going to have nothing to do with spiritual cockroaches turn to Leviticus chapter 11 Leviticus 11 see the first thing that you can think of with mice and cockroaches is they're dirty it's probably one of the first around that atmosphere and you touch them since they are unclean you become unclean you become abominable they can spread it on to you now look Jesus is giving you an actual physical example but he's trying to drive home a spiritual point to you look if you kill a mouse in your house are you going to pick that up with your hands I mean I killed mice at my old house and guess what I didn't pick it spiritual guru God manifests whatever and it's it's not just all the ones before Jesus that also includes a certain man in Davao that claims to be the Son of God today all that came before and all that came after and look at America yet Jim Jones in America you had Charles Manson go back and look at the lives of those people Charles Manson you can go and read on Wikipedia for those that are not aware who he is Charles Manson became famous because he claimed to be the Son of God and then he convinced his little cult to murder a bunch of people including some celebrities back in I think the late 60s and so it became like an internationally famous thing you know he's in prison until he died a few years ago and he claimed to be the Son of God but if you go back to when he was a teenager he was arrested as a teenager for forcing a young little boy sexually assaulting him at knifepoint what is the biblical punishment for that according to the Word of God yeah and guess what they could have prevented all those murders and they just put them to death I mean when God's commandments are in the earth the people of the world learn righteousness but that's not what's going on in countries today they don't apply what God says they don't follow the rules of the Bible they don't follow the commandments of the Bible all that ever came before Jesus were a bunch of thieves and robbers and what I believe I'm not ashamed of what I believe I'm not trying to hide what I believe you ask what I think about salvation I'll give you a very clear answer it's not gonna be one where you walk away saying I wonder what Pastor Stuckey does believe about that does he believe in eternal security or not I couldn't tell in case there's confusion I give it to them eternal life and they shall never perish once saved always say look I'm not ashamed or afraid you say why I'm not a spiritual rat I'm not trying to hide who I am to take advantage of people but you know what around this world there are a lot of spiritual cockroaches and spiritual rats that will pretend to be something they're not you say why having men's persons and admiration because of advantage turn to Jeremiah 13 Jeremiah 13 I mean if somebody asks you hey you know I missed the sermon what was the sermon about you can sum it up like this you know you know pastor told us why God created the cockroach just try to show us that's what Pope Francis is like that's kind of the summation of the sermon that Pope Francis is a cockroach a spiritual cockroach as I said he's pretty much on his deathbed I don't know if he's alive or dead but I'm not going to shed a tear either way whatever one cockroaches and mice they're very dirty I guess not according to like AI overview and some of these other experts that are out there but to the common person it's like no I'm pretty sure a mouse is dirty a cockroach is dirty whatever to they hate the light and isn't that true with false prophets they hate the preaching of God's Word whatever three they spread disease I mean mice and cockroaches spread a lot of diseases a lot of the big plagues have come as a result of mice or rats when they trace it back anyway the false prophets they spread their false doctrine onto people but number four they're scavengers the mouse and the cockroach they are stealing from us they come into your house and take the food they didn't go to the grocery store and buy it but then they come and take it off your kitchen table and the false prophet they're scavengers they're just trying to steal what other people have done and they want to destroy the life and take advantage of those that they steal but number five they creep in I mean you know you kind of have to creep in when you're not wanted because look if a mouse wanted to get in my house I'm going to shut the door and say no so what do they have to do they got to find a way in they creep in and guess what the false prophet they do not let people know how bad of a person they are they're creeping in but lastly they're unchanging you see a mouse will always be a mouse a cockroach will always be a cockroach and a false prophet is a bad person they are a child of the devil they are a reprobate and they will always be a reprobate now there are times when false prophets just change religion and they become a false prophet in another religion but there's still a reprobate a mouse will always be a mouse a cockroach will always be a cockroach and a false prophet will always be a bad person Jeremiah 13 verse 23 Jeremiah 13 verse 23 can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard is spots then may he also do good that are accustomed to do evil I mean can a leopard change his spots the Bible saying now now here's thing about false prophets they can pretend to change but they didn't change you know another animal the Bible mentions that talks that is used to reference really bad people as a snake in fact that's probably the first one you think if we are in the year of the snake with Chinese New Year and the first you know the devil in Genesis 3 manifests himself as a serpent right and you know there's a lot of characteristics I preached a sermon a couple months ago and the characteristics of snakes that you can look between you know the devil and snakes and bad people as well but one of the things with snakes is snakes have a tendency to shed their skin right you know and depending on where you live like I don't see snakes as much here but you know growing up in kind of the country sort of atmosphere in the woods it's like you would see snake skin in your backyard sometimes and you know well snakes shed skin they do it about four to twelve times a year now the thing is that when it sheds its skin it almost seems like it's different but the only reason to shed his skin is because it got bigger and its skin can no longer fit so it falls off but then guess what it's still a snake and it's gonna do the same thing and what bad people it's like oh they changed I mean don't you see that with people that get thrown in prison that are like murderers and serial killers and everything it's like oh you know I got right with God I got saved I changed and yet they haven't changed at all they are still the exact same right and you know what the false prophet they can shed their skin a million times they're still a reprobate they're still a bad person go to second Timothy chapter 3 we'll close up second Timothy chapter 3 you say wow this is not the most pleasant sermon look some topics are pleasant and some are not how do you preach a sermon on false prophets and make it a pleasant one no actually we see a physical example where the Bible is trying to say and show you how disgusting they are look God made the cockroach for a reason and one of the big reasons is to just show you and teach you how disgusting the false prophet is the next time you see a car and look you'll certainly see it here in the Philippines you'll see cockroaches running around the ground either inside of a house or outside it's like the next time you see a cockroach or a mouse or rat I want you to put inside your head this is what the false prophet is like this is what God is trying to teach me just this disgusting creature I mean I think a lot of the creatures that God has created are amazing and wonderful you look at them I mean I love the zoo I love the aquarium I find it fascinating and you know there's a lot of big creatures that you know obviously I would be afraid of a bear or lion if I was like face-to-face but it's a it's an amazing creature that God has created and then you got the cockroach and then you got the mouse it's not like when I stop and I look at a cockroach I'm like man what an amazing creation that God made what I think when I see the cockroach is that's what I think second Timothy chapter 3 verse 1 this know also then the last days perilous times shall come for men shall be lovers of their own selves covetous boasters proud blasphemers disobedient to parents unthankful unholy without natural affection truce breakers false accusers incontinent fierce despisers of those that are good traders heady high-minded low lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God these people sound like good people to you they sound pretty bad they proud sound pretty disgusting they sound pretty sinful and wicked having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof from such turn away I mean they have a form of godliness and look false prophets they have a form of godliness and look sometimes false prophets certain things they say are true certain things are correct and it's very easy for them to deceive people in fact I would say every single person when you first got saved if you got saved as an adult all of us could have fallen victim to false prophets that were pretending to be like-minded but weren't really all of us could in fact our church is filled full of people that would say that at their old churches like for a while they thought they were saved and then at some point they realized they weren't really saved and you say well how is that possible because a lot of people have you know that their pastors are spiritual cockroaches and they think it's the same thing but but it's not but don't those pastors have a form of godliness I'm not saying every pastor's a bad person but most are I mean sometimes I talk to people out soul-winning that are kind of non-religious they listen but they're not and you know one thing that I will sometimes mention to people like that is you know well you know who do you think Jesus preached against the most religious people are non-religious they always say non-religious is like no preaching against religious people and guess what if Jesus was around the day guess who he preached against the most religious leaders he would not be preaching as much against the non-religious now of course there's the preaching like that as well but a lot of the preaching would be centered against the Pharisees the Sadducees the scribes verse 6 for of this sort are they these false prophets which creep into houses and lead captive silly women laden with sins led away with diverse loss look the next time you see two white guys with a name tag that says elder with white shirts on a bicycle that are an elder that's like 19 years old with you know blondish brown hair and blue eyes and they smile at you realize they're a spiritual cockroach they're not a good person I mean we've seen Jehovah's Witnesses in this subdivision haven't we spiritual rats but notice what it says here in verse 7 ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth I mean Jesus is the truth if I was saying that these false prophets they are not able to get saved Bob says they could not believe and see here's the about this no matter how much a rat dreams about I just want to be another animal I want to be a lion I want to be a rhino nope you're gonna stay a rat no matter how much a cockroach wants to be another creature nope you're gonna be a cockroach and you know what a false prophet is always gonna be a bad person they're ever learning they learn all of this spiritual information and yet they are not able to actually get safe you say why because a spiritual cockroach will always be a cockroach let's close in word of prayer your Heavenly Father thank you for allowing us to be here today and ask you to help us to apply this to our lives God help us just to understand the analogy that you're giving help us to understand how disgusting and wicked and evil these false prophets are God help us to understand and learn and know our doctrine so we can defend what we believe and help us just to rescue normal people that are at these churches and give them the gospel and and help them see the salvation and get saved God so they don't go down that road as well God we pray these things in Jesus name Amen all right for our
