You're it's terrible. You're a slave. All right, I understand But did slaves really get to go to just Starbucks whenever they want? Because I don't know if it's just me every time I go to Starbucks, you know what I see I see a bunch of white middle-class Stay-at-home mothers from suburbia USA. I Don't see a bunch of battered beaten women in chains that are being held down by their husbands No, you know what Starbucks is pretty cool. Coffee is pretty cool It's pretty cool how in America stay-at-home moms can just spend money and go get nice drinks and here's thing the benefits I'm listing this morning. I'm not even against a lot of these things or all of these things really I'm just telling you the facts that this is not slavery Many women in America go to Starbucks every day of their life And hey, if you can afford that god bless you. She is not afraid of the snow for her household for all her household are clothed with scarlet She maketh herself Coverings of tapestry her clothing is silk and purple her husband is known in the gates when he sitteth among the elders of the land She make it fine linen and selleth it and deliver it girdles unto the merchant You know another great blessing a great benefit that housewives have today is nice new clothes That they didn't have to make they didn't have to gather the material and sit there and sewing it and all that stuff No, they could just go buy Inexpensive nice new clothes and if a woman does make new clothes today, it's not of necessity It's out of a hobby which that's another cool blessing if you could do that great But look women today aren't having to make clothing for their children to survive the winter They go to Walmart and buy a jacket They go to Cabela's and buy a nice Carhartt or whatever, you know, that is not slavery That's you living in the lap of luxury if you could do that Here's another you know great advantage That all of us have in this world today, but stay-at-home wives have how about this just desserts and snack foods? She's investing into her home she's investing into her family, you know, the Bible says you reap what you sow and What does this woman sow she's sowing good into her home into her family And what does she reap the love and respect and adoration of her husband and children? But where are a lot of women sowing today? Well, they're sewing in the workplace and you reap what you sow they're going into the workplace and they're sowing into their corporate job They're sewing into their job that they don't like and what are they're reaping. They're reaping a little paycheck That's what they're reaping and that's that's their reward. But guess what that doesn't bring fulfillment Especially in a lot of cases where you have dual income families. They're splitting the bills, right? So women get a little taste of oh cool, I'm gonna go work I'm gonna go make money and then it's like oh, yeah, here's the bill and it's just all gone and she's like Well, that isn't fun. It's like yes Welcome to our life. This is what we do. We go work We go work our butts off at a job That is not often very fun in the heat and the snow and whatever and then we get our paycheck our little piece of paper you know what just Just mortgage just bills rent insurance food diapers clothes Entertainment Starbucks everyday nails hair security systems gone. It's just gone, right? But but here's the thing. I don't care because I'm I'm Sewing into my family. I'm sewing taking care of them I'm sewing raising them and so I'm more than happy to go work and do that But ladies they have a little bit of a shock when they're like cool. I'm gonna go to work It's like you make this little paycheck is just nothing. It's just gone You reap what you sow, you know You'd be a lot happier at home like the rest of the suburban housewives that I just described you in point one That's a lot more of a fun life than going to work for some company. You don't care about doing some job You don't like making very little money oftentimes Go to first Peter chapter number three first Peter chapter number three You know women are gonna be a lot happier When they're sewing in the right places when they're sewing in the places that God told them to sew And where did God tell women to so look at first Peter 3 verse 3? likewise the wives Be in subjection to your own husbands that if any obey not the word They also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives and here's what you have to understand Is that the world values the exact opposite of what God values So God values a woman that is in subjection to her own husband What does that mean that she is placing herself under the authority of her husband that she says in her heart? Unhappiness, you know what our country's reaping from that divorce Homes being shattered and destroyed because our country has gotten so far from what the Bible says to do And when you don't do things God way God's way, you're gonna see serious repercussions from that Look at verse 2 while they behold your chase conversation coupled with fear who's adorning Let it not be that outward adorning of plating the hair and of wearing of gold or putting on of apparel But let it be the hidden man of the heart and that which is not corruptible Even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit which is in the sight of God of great price So again, we're talking about how God values things versus how the world values things What does God value in a woman God values in a woman a woman that is meek a woman that is humble a woman?
