(Disclaimer: This transcript is auto-generated and may contain mistakes.) Amen. All right. Well, it's great to be back here tonight. I've had a great day here, a great fellowship and soul winning man, receptive seeing 13 people saved with a group we have as an awesome number. So keep up the great work here, guys. You're doing a great job. And tonight we're in Psalm Chapter 12, which is the theme chapter of this church, Pure Words Baptist Church. And one of the things that Pure Words Baptist Church believes and one of the things that Steadfast Baptist Church believes is that the King James Bible is the perfect, inspired, inerrant word of God in the English language. It's the only Bible that we use. It is the only one that we believe is acceptable to use in the English language. And the title of my sermon tonight is The NIV is Garbage. The NIV is garbage. And, you know, there's so many ways that we can defend our position as King James only as you hear a lot of sermons about the inspiration of scripture, the preservation of scripture. A lot of times it's it's attacking it from the historical or logical perspective. But really tonight, I just want to focus on one version, one false version. Of the Bible called the NIV and go to Second Corinthians Chapter two. And I want to explain why this type of sermon needs to be preached. Second Corinthians Chapter two, verse 17. The Bible says, For we are not as many which corrupt the word of God, but as of sincerity, but as of God in the sight of God, speak we in Christ. So Paul, he's saying we are not as many which corrupt the word of God. So Paul straight up tells us there are many people that corrupt the word of God. And isn't it funny? You know, I looked up the 2020 Bible sales in the US. What were the most popular Bibles? What was the most sold Bible in the US? And in 2020, the number one selling Bible in the United States was the NIV, the new international version. It's what's being sold on the shelves all over America. It's probably what your extended family is reading. It's probably when you go out soul winning, what a lot of people, you know, out soul winning or reading when you talk to them. And it's the number one selling Bible. And so it needs to be preached against because it's full of absolute garbage. And in fact, this version is garbage. But I just want to give you the list. Here's the top 10 top selling versions of the Bible in the United States in 2020. Number one, the NIV. Number two, the King James Version. Timeless. Number three, the NLT. Number four, the ESV. Number five, the New King James. Number six, the CSB. Number seven, the reign of Valera, the Spanish Bible. That's pretty interesting. The reign of Larry, the Spanish Bible beat out the English new international readers version and it beat out the message. Thank God for that. That's a horrible version of the Bible. It's like a paraphrase. And number 10, the NASB. So of all those number one selling the most popular Bible in the United States, as far as what is selling is the NIV. And that is a shame because I want to give you four reasons tonight why the NIV is garbage and why we should reject this Bible version. So number one, the NIV has many factual errors, has many factual errors. Go to John, chapter number one, John, chapter number one. First reason we should reject this false Bible version is because it has many factual errors. John, chapter one, verse one, the Bible says, In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him. And without him was not anything made that was made. So in John, chapter one, we realize that this is talking about the Lord Jesus Christ and the Lord Jesus Christ is described as the word of God. Later on in the in this chapter in verse 14, it says in the word was made flesh and dwelt among us. There's no doubt what this is talking about. It's talking about the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the word. You know what that tells me? The word of God must be perfect, because if Jesus Christ is the word of God and Jesus Christ is perfect, then the word of God must be perfect. It must be absolutely perfect. Must have no blemishes, no errors in it of any kind. And go to Psalm 119. I'll reread for you what we read in Psalm 12, verse six. The Bible says the words of the Lord are pure words as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O Lord. Thou shalt preserve them from this generation forever. So the Bible tells us that the words of the Lord, it's like silver purified in a furnace of earth. You know, just boiling it up to an extremely hot temperature to draw out all the dross and all the scum and all the impurities out of that silver and just to do that process over and over and over and over again. That's what the Bible is described as. But not only that, the Bible says that the person who is in charge of preserving the words of God is God himself. So God's not going to allow his perfect word of God to just be full of errors and to be full of mistakes in it. No, Jesus is the word. Jesus is perfect. God's job is to preserve the word of God, and he's going to preserve it perfectly. I had you go to Psalm 119, Psalm 119, look at verse 89. Psalm one, 1989, the Bible says forever, O Lord. Thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations. Thou hast established the earth and it abideth. So the Bible says that God's word is established in heaven. So God's word is already preordained before the world began. The Bible was already in heaven. And he says that he's faithful to all generations. So there's not going to be a generation that just doesn't have the words of God. We didn't just dig up the words of God in a Catholic monastery a couple hundred years ago and just now got the Bible. No, the Bible says that he's faithful to all generations. And God has been faithful to us in preserving his word. Look at verse 138 of the same chapter. Verse 138. Thy testimonies that thou hast commanded are righteous and very faithful. My zeal hath consumed me because mine enemies have forgotten thy words. Thy word is very pure. Therefore, thy servant loveth it. I think the Bible is starting to make a point here that the words of the Lord are pure words. Bible's repeating this. Jesus is the word. God's faithful with his word and that the words of God are very pure. Look at one verse 160 of the same chapter, verse 160. Thy word is true from the beginning, and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth forever. Every single one of God's judgments endureth forever. So that tells me that if we have a Bible that's just full of all these errors, that it's not the same Bible that Psalm 119 is talking about. It's not the same Bible that that Psalm Chapter 12 is talking about. It's not the perfect and inerrant word of God that's described in John Chapter number one. The Bible over and over again is just saying that the Bible is pure, pure, faithful, faithful, and it's going to endure. It's perfect. It's perfect. Go to Psalm Chapter 19. Let's look at how the Bible just continues in this theme. Psalm Chapter 19. Look at verse seven. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul. The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean during forever. The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. I don't know how many times the Bible has to tell us that the word of God is pure. But hey, I don't want there to be any room for doubt that it's not OK to have a Bible that's full of errors. It's not OK to have a Bible that's not pure. It's not OK to have a Bible that is not faithful. Go to first Peter Chapter one and I'll read for you Hebrews Chapter five, verse nine. This is speaking of our Lord Jesus Christ, it says. And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him. Jesus Christ is perfect. And guess what? He's the author of eternal salvation. He's the author of the words of life. He is the author of this book, the Lord Jesus Christ. And he was perfect. He's going to give us a perfect book. First Peter Chapter one, you're there in verse 23. The Bible says, being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever. So it's very important what Bible version you have, because there's only one way you can get saved, and it's with the incorruptible seed, not with the corruptible seed. You're not going to be bringing forth fruit. You're not going to be getting anyone saved with a false Bible version. So now I want to show you in point number one, how many factual errors that we find in the NIV. Go to Ecclesiastes Chapter number eight. Ecclesiastes Chapter number eight. We're going to be flipping around a lot tonight. Ecclesiastes Chapter number eight. And look at verse 10. Might help if I get there myself. Ecclesiastes 8 10. The Bible says, And so I saw the wicked buried who had come and gone from the place of the holy, and they were remember this forgotten in the city where they had so done. This also is vanity. You know what the NIV says? It says then to I saw the wicked buried. Those who used to go come and go from the holy place and received praise in the city where they did this. This, too, is meaningless. So which one is it? Were they forgotten in the city or they receiving praise in the city? Because that's not the same thing. That's not even close to the same thing. So one of these is wrong. And obviously, I believe it's the NIV, because this is taken from a completely different text. It's a garbage translation because it's not even using the same underlying text as the King James Bible is using, because how do you get forgotten and receiving praise mixed together? You don't. It has to be a different source. And so here's a factual error that we find in the NIV. Go to Second Samuel, Chapter 15, Second Samuel, Chapter number 15. Second Samuel 15 and look at verse number seven. And it came to pass after 40 years that Absalom said unto the king, I pray thee, let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed unto the Lord in Hebron in the NIV, it says at the end of four years. Absalom said to the king, let me go to Hebron and fulfill a vow I made to the Lord. So the King James Bible is telling us it's four years and NIV 40 years and NIV is telling us it's four years. This is the type of stuff that gives atheists ammunition, because this is where they start saying, oh, I could find you so many contradictions in that Bible, because look at the timeline here and look, Saul's one years old and he's king in this Bible version. And it's like they can never show you that kind of stuff, though, in the King James Bible. But I could show you that stuff all day long. And then I mean, that's what we're going to do. That's the point of the sermon is to expose the NIV. Go to second Samuel. Flip over to Chapter 21. Second Samuel, Chapter 21. And look at verse 19. Second Samuel, 21, verse 19. And there was again a battle in Gab with the Philistines, where Elhanan, the son of Jair, Origim, a Bethlehemite, slew the brother of Goliath, the Gitite. The staff of whose spear was like a weavers beam. So we have Elhanan slaying the brother of Goliath in the 1984 NIV. It says in another place with the Philistines at Gab Elhanan, the son of Jair, Origim, the Bethlehemite, killed Goliath, the Gitite, who had a spear with a shaft like a weavers rod. What's funny is every single child, every single six year old in every single Sunday school across this nation knows who killed Goliath, that it was David. Yet the NIV from whenever it was first translated all the way until 2011 said that this random guy slew Goliath. It's like, how do you take a Bible like this seriously? How is this the number one selling Bible in America? That's quite a big factual error that they made there. And they didn't even fix it until 2011. For decades and decades, they just let that garbage sit in the Bible. It's ridiculous. It's a horrible translation. Go to Matthew, chapter number 18, Matthew, chapter number 18. Let's look at some more here. Matthew, chapter 18, and look at verse number 21. Matthew 18, 21. Then came Peter to him and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me and I forgive him till seven times. Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee until seven times, but until 70 times seven. Peter asked him, how many times should I forgive my brother? And Jesus says 70 times, seven times. He's just giving him this huge number because he's just pointing out that you're never actually going to reach that number in one single day. He's just saying you should have never any forgiveness for your brothers in Christ. But the NIV says Jesus answered. I say unto you or sorry, Jesus answered. I tell you not seven times, but 77 times. Well, here's a news flash for you. 490 does not equal 77. OK, there's a factual error in the NIV. And it's just like, where is this stuff coming from? You say, oh, that's no big deal. No, it is a big deal because the Bible says every word of God is pure. And so if you don't think that's a big deal, you have a heart problem because it's God's job to preserve his word. And when something is wrong in the Bible and something's not correct and it's claiming to be the pure word of God, it's a fraud. It's a phony. And you know what? Every single jot and every single tittle in the Bible matters a lot. And we're going to see it. It gets way worse than just a numbers difference in this Bible. Go to Mark Chapter number one. Mark Chapter number one, verse 41. And Jesus moved with compassion, put forth his hand and touched him and say unto him, I will be thou clean. So here's a beautiful story of the Lord Jesus Christ, who's touched with compassion and he heals this man in the NIV. It says Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. I am willing. He said, be clean. So here we have the compassionate Lord Jesus Christ healing this man in the in the King James Bible. But in the NIV, we have the angry, indignant Lord Jesus Christ healing this man is to be like, be clean, you know, like like he's bothered to heal this man. Hey, that's that's a big difference. That's a huge error. That's not what the Lord Jesus Christ was doing in this verse. He was not indignant in this verse. Now, there are other times in the Bible where Jesus is getting mad. There's times in the Bible where Jesus is flipping tables, where Jesus is literally whipping people. OK. But this was not one of those times. And so when Jesus is compassionate, I want to know when Jesus was being compassionate and when Jesus was angry. I want to know when Jesus was being angry. But I want my Bible to be factually correct. And the NIV is not factually correct. Luke, Chapter four, Luke, Chapter four. Let's go over there. Luke, Chapter number four. And let's read verse forty four. Luke four, forty four. And he says, and he preached in the synagogues of Galilee in the NIV, it says, and he kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea. Now that's when we're reading that. We don't know much about geography. That's just two different words. But when you understand you look at a map, that's way off Galilee's way, way north and Judea's way, way south. It's like getting the difference between Oklahoma and Texas messed up. It's like, which one was Jesus in? OK, tell us the truth here. NIV is obviously wrong here. Luke, Chapter number 10, flip over to Luke, Chapter number 10. You know, excusing these type of small mistakes is one thing when it comes out of the mouth of a man. But when something's proclaiming to be the word of God, it needs to be perfect. We misspeak. We get details wrong. We make factual errors all the time. But guess what? I'm not proclaiming to be the word of God. But yet the people that translated the NIV says, here's the word of God with all these errors on it, all these factual errors, and it's absolute garbage. Luke, Chapter 10, verse one. After these things, the Lord appointed other 70 also, and he sent them two and two before his face into every city and place whither himself would come. The NIV says after this, the Lord appointed 72 others. So the King James says 70. The NIV says 72. What's the big deal? The big deal is that the Bible says every word of God is pure. That's the big deal. The big deal is that God said that his word is going to be faithful to all generations. That's the big deal. And what this really exposes is the fact that the NIV was translated from a completely different source. It just is. It's not even close to the King James Bible. The King James Bible, you know, translated from the Texas Receptus, the TR. You know, it's not even the same source. It's not even the same source, because these are not just small details. Some of these some of these are just way off. And you don't get that unless you're translating from a different source. So number one, the reason we should reject NIV is because that's factual errors. That should be enough right there. But it actually gets a lot worse. Number two, the reason we should reject NIV is because it removes from God's word. Go to Deuteronomy chapter number eight, Deuteronomy chapter eight. And I'm going to read for you Matthew chapter four, verse four. The Bible says, But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Now, this is a very ironic verse, because Jesus is telling us we don't live just by bread alone, just by our physical carnal bread. But we live by every word of God, every word of God. But you know that that phrase, every word of God is taken out in this verse and NIV. It's not even there. So in NIV, it's just like, you know, but he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone. Thanks, Jesus. Thanks for letting us know that. No, he just completely removes that one part. You're there in Deuteronomy chapter eight. Look at verse number three. And he humbled thee and suffered the hunger and fed thee with manna, which thou knew is not. Neither did thy fathers know that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live. Now you see, that's powerful. That's powerful to know that this story in the Old Testament about the manna from heaven is a picture of the word of God and is a picture of Jesus Christ himself. And here's the Lord Jesus Christ in the flesh. And what is he quoting? He's quoting this verse. And that's powerful. And that's that's full of a lot of meaning that we need, hey, to know that we need every single word of God. How convenient is it that this Bible version takes that phrase out? That's not a coincidence. That is absolutely not a coincidence. Second, Timothy, I'll read for you. Second, Timothy, you can go to Matthew Chapter 17. Second, Timothy, Chapter three, verse 16. The Bible says all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine. That's truth for a proof that's telling you that you're wrong for correction. That's telling you what's right for instruction and righteousness. That's telling you how to get it right. The Bible says that all scripture is profitable for all of those. All of those things, all scripture. I mean, think about this morning, you know, first Kings Chapter 20. We're talking about a story of two wicked kings, two unsaved kings. Yet there's so much of that that we can apply to ourselves as saved Christians. That's because all scripture is profitable, every single line. And that's why Jesus said that we live by every word of God. So any deletion of God's word is is an offense to God, because it's not the preserved and perfect word of God. I told you go to Matthew Chapter 17. Now, I just want to show you where verses are just completely gone out of the NIV. So I'm going to read this verse in the King James and just realize that if you're reading your NIV, that this verse just does not exist. We're going to run through all of these in the New Testament. Matthew Chapter 17, verse 21. Well, let's go back into verse 20. And Jesus said said unto them, because of your unbelief, for verily, I said unto you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove and nothing shall be impossible unto you. What I'm about to read is not in the NIV, how be it this kind goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting gone, not even in the NIV. So he's explaining, you know, this man who is possessed with just this extreme demon possession case. He's saying this kind goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting. That might be some helpful, you know, information to know if you have a family member that's possessed with devils or, you know, to be praying and fasting for them. Well, you don't have that information. If you read the NIV, you're stuck. Matthew Chapter 18. Let's flip the page. Matthew Chapter 18, verse 11. Here's a verse that just doesn't exist. The NIV for the son of man is come to save that which was lost. Wow. The whole reason that our Lord Jesus Christ came to this earth, his entire earthly mission. Well, guess what? Just not even mentioned in the NIV. That's wicked as hell. That's what it is. This is a false Bible version. This version is garbage. It needs to be completely discarded. It is trash. Matthew Chapter number 23. Look at verse 14. Matthew 23. Verse 14. This does not exist in your NIV. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, for you devour widows houses and for a pretense make long prayer. Therefore, you shall receive the greater damnation. You know, this is a great verse to rebuke the Roman Catholic Church. You know who they get like to get up and just repeat these long prayers and just repeating the same thing over and over and over and over and over again, doing exactly what the scribes and the Pharisees were doing. And Jesus Christ rebukes them. And he says, guess what? You're going to receive the greater damnation. You know what else this verse is great for? Is this stupid doctrine that says all sin is equal? Well, no, it's not because Jesus told these people that their damnation is greater. Why is their damnation not the same as someone who just told a couple of lies in their life? Well, because not all sin is equal. That's why. And because when you're devouring widows houses and for a pretense, making long prayer and being a fraud in the ministry and damning people's souls to hell, you're going to receive the greater damnation. But you'd never know that if you're reading NIV. You don't get that verse in the NIV Mark Chapter seven. Flip over to Mark Chapter number seven. How does this not bother people? How do people who read the NIV learn about this stuff and it just not bother them? I tell you what, it should bother them. It should bother them or it tells you something about their heart. Mark Chapter number seven, verse 16. Mark Chapter seven, verse 16. If any man have ears to hear, let him hear. I guess Jesus just didn't say that, according to the NIV, because that's just not there. Mark Chapter nine, verse 44. Mark Chapter nine. Flip the page. Mark Chapter nine, verse 44. Where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched. Mark Chapter nine, verse 46. This is gone in your NIV where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched. Wow. You know that the doctrine of hell. That's a doctrine that the devil wants to attack because the devil wants as many people going to hell as humanly possible. And guess what? If he can just get people to not be afraid of hell, if he could just, you know, reduce the the emphasis that the Bible is putting on just the horrible nature of hell, you know, maybe people wouldn't care that much. But when you're reading the King James Version and three times in the matter of a couple of verses, Jesus is telling you, hey, where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched, where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched, where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched. Hey, he's emphasizing something there. He's emphasizing the fact that hell is eternal, that you are going to be there alive forever and ever and ever. Your worm will never die, meaning you will exist in hell forever. And the fire is not quenched. You will never experience relief. The pains and torments of hell. The fire will never, ever be quenched. And the NIV takes two of those verses out. That should bother people right there. Mark, Chapter 11, verse 26. Mark, Chapter 11, verse 26. This verse is gone in NIV. But if you do not forgive, neither will your father, which is in heaven. Forgive your trespasses. Well, that sounds like an important verse. Hey, I want to make sure that I'm in good fellowship with the Lord. But the Bible says that if I don't forgive men, their trespasses, that God's not going to forgive me. So I'm not going to be able to walk in fellowship with God if I have all this bitterness and if I'm not being forgiving to my brethren. And that's why Jesus tells us. But if you do not forgive, neither will your father, which is in heaven, forgive your trespasses. Jesus is giving you an incentive right here to forgive your brethren. But guess what? You don't have that incentive in the NIV. That verse doesn't exist in the NIV. It is unbelievable. Mark, Chapter 15, flip the page to Mark, Chapter 15. Verse 28. Mark, Chapter 15, verse 28. And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, and he was numbered with the transgressors. Now you may just read over that verse. Hey, but this gives you some good confidence in the word of God. This gives you some good confidence in the fact that our Lord Jesus Christ came to fulfill the law. He fulfilled every single aspect of the law. Every single prophecy, Jesus Christ fulfilled perfectly. And the Bible tells us that one of those prophecies is fulfilled right here. But you don't get that in the NIV. It's gone. Mark, Chapter 16. Mark, Chapter 16. Now, when you're reading Mark, Chapter 16 in the NIV, you read verse number eight and immediately under verse eight, there's this big line and it says that the earliest and most reliable manuscripts do not have the rest of this chapter. So you're reading Mark 16, verse eight. Now, the rest of this, the NIV has just told you shouldn't even be in the Bible. Let's read it now. When Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with him as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that he was alive and had been seen of her, believe not. After that, he appeared in another form unto two of them as they walked and went into the country. And they went and told it unto the residue. Neither believed they them. Afterward, he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat and abraded them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. And he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe in my name. Shall they cast out devils? They shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents. And if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them. They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. Everything that just came out of my mouth, the NIV says should not be in Bible. You know, just those minor things like the resurrection of Jesus Christ, just those minor things, you know, just the minor thing like the Great Commission going into all the world and preach every creature. I guess that just shouldn't have been in the book of Mark. You see, are you starting to see why this is such a garbage translation? Yet the number one selling Bible in America is this trash version of the Bible. Trash version of the Bible. Let's look at. So I already told you, Luke four, four, it takes off. But every word of God, it takes off that part. Luke Chapter 17. Go back to Luke Chapter 17, verse 36. Luke 17. Luke Chapter 17, verse 36. And two men shall be in the field, the one shall be taken and the other left, that verse is also just completely gone. Luke Chapter 23, verse 17. I'll just read for you. These are just all the verses that are gone. Luke, twenty three, seventeen, John, five, four, acts, eight, thirty seven, acts, fifteen, thirty four, acts, twenty four, seven, acts, twenty eight, twenty nine and Romans, sixteen, twenty four. That's just a list of all the verses that are just completely gone, just completely gone. Just you turn to those verses and they just do not exist in your Bible. And let me tell you, when the Bible says that all scripture is profitable for doctrine, for correction, for instruction, for all those things. It is every single verse. And a lot of the verses that we looked at. Hey, we can learn some great doctrine from those verses. How about the Great Commission? How about the resurrection? How about all the things we talked about? Those are doctrines that can teach us a lot of good things and that can exhort us to do a lot of good things. Yet all of those are gone in the NIV. And all those verses that I just listed to you, those are only verses that are completely removed. There's also a large list of verses where just part of the verses are removed or words or phrases of those verses are removed. Like Matthew twelve forty seven. Matthew twenty one forty four. Luke twenty two forty four. Luke twenty two forty three. The story of the woman taken in adultery. Like half of that chapter is just gone. It's just like it's unbelievable. It makes you frustrated when you actually do read the Bible, which most of these people who buy NIVs obviously don't. But for people who actually do read the Bible and for people who actually do love the word of God, when all of a sudden all these stories are just gone, all these verses are gone. That upsets you. And that should upset you because, hey, this is pure words Baptist Church. We believe every word of God is pure. And we believe that God preserved it to every single generation. On top of this, the NIV removes over sixty four thousand words. Just sixty four thousand words. You know, words like Jehovah, words like hell is taken out of bunch. Hell still exists in a few places in the NIV. But a lot of times the use of hell is just gone. A lot of times the word damnation is just taken out. Over sixty four thousand words just taken and deleted from the Bible. My question is, how can I live by every word of God like Jesus Christ told me to if I own NIV? You cannot do it. You cannot live by every word of God with the NIV. Therefore, the version's trash and it should be discarded. Revelation 22. I want to finish this point with the warning that God gave people for removing from his word, because we just saw concrete proof that people are removing from God's word with the NIV. People absolutely are are tampering with and removing from God's word. Revelation 22, verse 18. Jesus says, For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book. If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book. And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city and from the things which are written in this book. So God gives a very strong, a very scary warning to those that would add to God's word by saying he will add to them all the plagues of the book of Revelation. Have you read that book? That's a lot of plagues. It's a lot of scary plagues. He says, if you take anything out of my word, he's going to take your name out of the book of life and out of the holy city. So you know what? All these people that translated and that brought us the NIV, not a single one of them will you see in heaven, not not a single one, not a single person that corrupts God's word, that takes away from God's word. Will you ever see saved? Because the Bible says here that they're going to receive this curse from God. That's a promise. That's just as much of a promise from God as John three. Sixteen is a promise from God. He will damn these people that that damn his word like this. It's extremely wicked. Number three, why the NIV should be rejected. Number three, the NIV weakens the doctrine of the deity of Christ. Go to John Chapter number three, John Chapter number three. It sounds like an important doctrine, the doctrine that the Lord Jesus Christ is not only the son of God, but that he is God, that he is God in the flesh. That's what we read in John Chapter one. The beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God. And the word was made flesh and dwelt among us. We know that the Lord Jesus Christ is God. But yet this is a doctrinal battle that we fight all the time. We fight it with the Mormons. We fight it with the Muslims. We fight it with Jehovah's Witnesses. And hey, we need that sword of the spirit that we were talking about this morning to be able to fight this battle. And I don't want a sword that is weakened on this doctrine in any way. John Chapter number three, look at verse 13. Jesus to Nicodemus says, And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the son of man, which is in heaven. So here we have the Lord Jesus Christ in the flesh speaking to Nicodemus on this earth, and he says that he is also in heaven at the same time. Now, explain to me how someone can be in heaven and on earth at the same time. They're God. That's how Jesus Christ, the Lord, is omnipresent. He is God. And so this is a very important versus very powerful verse to defend the deity of Jesus Christ. Well, here's what the NIV says. No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven, the son of man. It completely just leaves off the part about how the son of man is also in heaven right now. And so you want to use that verse to show how Jesus Christ is omnipresent, how he's on the earth, yet he's in heaven at the same time. You can't use that verse in the NIV because it doesn't support that anymore. And so it is weakening the doctrine of the deity of Christ. First Corinthians Chapter number 10. Let's go over there. First Corinthians Chapter number 10. And let's look at another one here. First Corinthians Chapter number 10. Look at verse number nine. Neither let us tempt Christ as some of them also tempted and were destroyed of serpents. So this is referring to a story in the Old Testament. Let's go to Numbers real quick and keep your finger there and go to Numbers. Numbers, Chapter 21. Notice how that verse said, Neither let us tempt who? Christ. Numbers, Chapter number 21, verse five. The Bible says, And the people spake against God and against Moses. Wherefore have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no bread, neither is there any water in our soul. Loatheth this light bread. And who? The Lord said the capital L, capital O, capital R, capital D, Jehovah God, the Lord sent fiery serpents among the people and they bit the people and much people of Israel died. With that verse in mind, let's read that again in First Corinthians, Chapter number 10, verse nine. It says, Neither let us tempt Christ as some of them also tempted and were destroyed of serpents. So who was the Lord? Who was one? The one that they were actually tempting in that story when it said that they tempted God, they murmured against God. They tempted the Lord, capital L, O, R, D. The Bible says that they were tempting Christ. Why is that? Because Jesus Christ is God. That's why. Because Jesus Christ was in that story in Numbers, Chapter 21. And he's here in the New Testament as well. But in the NIV. It says we should not in First Corinthians 10, nine. It says we should not test the Lord as some of them did and were killed by snakes. Now, here's the thing. Is this verse true? Yes. In the Old Testament, who was it that they were tempting? The Lord. Can you say that in the New Testament that it was the Lord that they were tempting? Absolutely. But the problem is it weakens the doctrine of the deity of Christ. I like that the King James Version says that they tempted Christ because there's no escaping. Who was the Lord in Numbers, Chapter 21? It was Christ. If you just say they're attempting the Lord and then the New Testament all says they were tempting the Lord. Well, guess what? Then you could say, oh, that's just talking about the father only. That's only talking about God, the father. That doesn't prove that Jesus Christ is God. But when you realize that who they were tempting in Numbers, Chapter 21 is Christ, and the Bible just definitively says neither let us tempt Christ. You can't wiggle out of that one. It's a strong verse to support the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ is God. You don't have that in the NIV. It weakens that doctrine. First Timothy, Chapter number three, let's flip over there. Here's another great verse, arguably the greatest verse in the Bible to defend the doctrine of the deity of Christ. First, Timothy, Chapter number three. Verse 16, and without controversy, great is the mystery of godliness. God was manifest in the flesh. Who was that? The Lord Jesus Christ, justified in the spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. Who is the only person that fits all of these descriptions in this verse? The Lord Jesus Christ. And this verse says that God was manifest in the flesh. But in the NIV, it says beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great. He appeared in a body. He it doesn't say God anymore. It just says he. What is this? This is called weakening the doctrine of the deity of Christ. That's what this is doing. And people get upset and say, oh, you know, the NIV doesn't attack the deity of Christ. It still teaches the doctrine of deity of Christ. And guess what? There are verses in the NIV that you can find that teach that Jesus is God. But the point is, it is weakening the doctrine of the deity of Christ. Why would you want that Bible? Why would you be a Christian that says, hey, I believe Jesus is God. Yeah, I'll go ahead and buy that Bible that has way less verses talking about Jesus being God. Why? It's stupid. Why don't you just stick with the King James Bible that says that they tempted Christ, the Lord, not just they tempted God, they tempted God. Why don't you stick with the King James Bible that says that God was manifest in the flesh and that he was preached under the gentiles, that he fit all those things, not just he. It's God. It's the Lord Jesus Christ that fits all of those descriptions. Second Corinthians, chapter number 11. Let's flip over there. Second Corinthians, chapter number 11. And look at verse number three. The Bible says, But I fear lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his notice, subtlety. So your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. Notice how the Bible says that the devil corrupted Eve through his subtlety. That is how the devil operates. The devil is not going to write a Bible version that says this is the corrupt word of God. I have been attacking the deity of Jesus Christ. Please buy this Bible. No, that's not how the devil works. The devil is subtle. So if the devil just took out every single salvation verse in NIV, if the devil just took out every single place in the NIV where the Bible says that Jesus is God, that would not be a subtle translation, would it? That'd be like the message Bible. OK, the message Bible is not subtle. It's just like the worst piece of trash you've ever read. Besides maybe the Quran. OK, but that's not subtle. The NIV is subtle because the NIV just changes one little word, just changes one little phrase that can have an impact on so much doctrine and so much meaning. And guess what? That is the mark of the devil. That is the marks of subtlety of Satan. That is how he operates. You know what's a lot worse than the Book of Mormon? The NIV. The NIV, because the NIV, you know, your average Christian is not going to be deceived by the Book of Mormon, OK? Saying that, you know, if you're black, it's because you're more sinful or something like that. That's ridiculous. It's wicked. Only only idiots become Mormons. All right. But you know what? Sometimes your average Joe can be confused by the NIV and can be deceived by the NIV. It's a much more subtle version of the Bible. And that is why it's satanic. That is why it is evil. Number four, the NIV tampers with or waters down other important doctrines. Let's go to Acts, chapter number eight. So now let's just go through some doctrines that are affected, that are tampered with because of the NIV's rendering of these verses. Acts, chapter number eight. The first doctrine that gets messed up with the NIV is the doctrine of believers baptism. What is believers baptism? It's what we believe that a person should only be baptized after they are saved, not just baptized because you were raised in church and your mom wanted you to get baptized, not just baptized when you were a baby and sprinkled by the Catholic priest, because that's what your parents wanted to do. No, we believe that you need to be baptized after you completely understand the gospel and have completely accepted the gospel once you are saved. That is what we believe. Well, in Acts, chapter number eight, let's read verse number 35. Then Philip opened his mouth. He's preaching the gospel to someone who is reading the Bible, who didn't understand it and began at the same scripture and preached on him, Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came under a certain water and the eunuch said, see, here is water. What doth hinder me to be baptized? So this person is not saved. He's reading the Bible. He doesn't understand it. Philip comes, preaches in the gospel, and he says, all right, what's hindering me from being baptized? I heard the gospel. Philip said, if thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. So what happened? He called upon the name of the Lord. This is salvation for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Guess what? He is now a great candidate for baptism, isn't he? Now he can get baptized. Verse 38. And he commanded the chariot to stand still. And they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch. And he baptized him. And when they were come out of the water, the spirit of Lord Conaway, Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more. And he went on his way rejoicing. The King James Bible is so precise and has so much detail. It's telling us exactly what happened. Not only that, he's saying he went all the way into the water. And then came out of the water. You know, that destroys your infant sprinkling baptism. Being sprinkled by water is not baptism. Baptism is actually being completely immersed in water. But when you read the NIV, verse 37 gone. Completely gone. What doth hinder me to be baptized? And they went and baptized him. And so it says in the NIV. So what what is it? It's the doctrine of believer's baptism just being tampered with, altered, weakened by the NIV. This is a trash garbage translation. What's another doctrine that the NIV weakens or tampers with? Go to Hebrews, chapter number four. Here's an important doctrine. Salvation, getting saved. The most important doctrine that there ever was. Hebrews, chapter number four. Let's read what the King James Bible says in verse number one. Let us therefore fear lest a promise being left of us entering into his rest. Any of you should seem to come short of it. For unto us was the gospel preached as well as unto them. But the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. For we would have believed do enter into rest. As he said, I've sworn in my wrath if they shall enter into my rest. Although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. Here's what verse six says in the NIV. Therefore, since it still remains for some to enter into rest, and since those who formally had the good news proclaimed under them did not go in because of their disobedience, disobedience. So the Bible is talking about how the gospel was preached to us, just like to them. But it didn't profit them because they didn't have faith in the gospel. Then in verse six, it says that they entered not in because of unbelief. And then the NIV turns around and says they didn't enter in because of their disobedience. Now, what is the number one false gospel that we hear time and time and time after again? It's a works salvation. It's people getting up and saying, Oh, yeah, I'm going to heaven. Why? Well, because I obey all of God's commandments, because I'm following God, because I'm living a good life, because I'm obeying the Lord. That's what everyone says out soul winning. I wonder why. Maybe they read, hey, Hebrews Chapter four in NIV. Maybe the false prophets that want to teach people this false doctrine are getting up behind their pulpit and using an NIV. Oh, yeah, that is exactly what you see. That's exactly what you see. And that's why most people you talk to who read the NIV are unsaved. Imagine that. Imagine that. Are there verses in the NIV where you can find where it says believe alone for salvation? Yes. The point is, the devil is subtle. That's the whole point. All he has to do is weaken the doctrines. He doesn't have to completely remove them if he completely removes them. You know what? Honestly, it's not as deceiving of a translation. The reason why it's wicked is because it's subtle, because you're changing. They entered in because of unbelief to the entered in because of disobedience. These things are not the same. These things are not the same. My child does not get spanked for their unbelief. They get spanked for their disobedience. OK, these are just not even close to the same thing. And we know this. But this is exactly what we're explaining to people all the time. Faith is way different than works, way different. They are not the same thing. And here's another thing that the NIV corrupts. Go to Psalm 139. Psalm 139. Psalm 139. Look at verse number 24. Well, let's let's start reading in verse 21. Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee and am not aggrieved with those that rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred. I count them mine enemies. Search me, O God, and know my heart. Try me and know my thoughts and see if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting. So, David, he's talking about how he hates those that hate God. He hates them with a perfect hatred. And he is humbly beseeching the Lord, asking him, Lord, see if there be any wicked way in me. Try me. Search my heart. You know, let me know if there's anything wicked in me. But the NIV says in verse 24. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting. I got news for you. Being offensive is not being wicked. Now, this is exactly what the liberals want you to believe. This is exactly the entire agenda of the left is to make you think that being offensive is wicked and we can't have anything in our society that's offensive because that's wicked. And so the NIV Christian is praying, God, see if there's anything offensive in me. It's like, how about Psalm 139? How about the chapter that you're actually praying that from? Do not I hate them, O Lord, that hate thee? What's funny about that is that's not changed in the NIV. Yet, if you told someone who reads NIV that that's in the Bible, they'd be shocked if they came to one of our church services and heard that we were singing Psalm 139. Oh, they'd be offended, wouldn't they? They'd be offended. And you know what? Maybe some of them would even think that that's wicked, because their Bible says, see if there be any offensive way in me. This is this plays right into the devil's hand, because anything that's offensive in the Bible, you know, the false prophet that just wants to tickle people's ears, that just wants to preach what people want to hear. He could just say, well, you know, Psalm 139 tells me, you know, search my heart and see if there be any offensive way in me. So I'm just going to avoid this chapter. I'm not going to preach this topic. I'm not going to say that. I'm not going to ruffle feathers on this area because I don't want there to be found any offensive way in me. I just want to love. I just want to preach about grace. Can you see how you might be able to get that mentality if you're reading an NIV? It is unbelievable. You know what? What's so funny is that the Lord Jesus Christ was offensive and Lord Jesus Christ is offensive to this day. He offends people every single day. Hey, we go out and we preach the gospel and we read them the word of God and they're offended. Oh, how dare you tell me that I can't make it to heaven on my own? Don't you know how good I am? What do you mean? I need Jesus Christ to help me with it. That's what they act like. That's what they're saying when they reject the gospel of Jesus Christ. Go to Matthew Chapter 13, verse 57, Matthew Chapter 15, verse 37. You know what? When I found out that that the NIV said this, that's the whole reason I even preached the sermon, because this one verse alone just pissed me off. And it just makes me mad to think that people are equating being offensive to being wicked today in our our culture. It's absolutely ridiculous. Matthew Chapter 13, verse 57. And they were offended in him, referring to Jesus Christ. But Jesus said unto them, a prophet is not without honor, save in his own country and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works then because of their unbelief. You know what? Jesus was offensive and people were offended by his preaching time after time after time again. And he says, hey, a prophet's not without honor, except in his own house, in his own country. The reason that they're not honoring me is because they're just familiar with me. They knew me when I was growing up or whatever. But you know what? They were offended by Jesus Christ. And that doesn't mean that there was any wicked way found in our savior. No, it being offensive has nothing to do with being wicked. Matthew Chapter 15, verse number seven. Verse number seven. Ye hypocrites. Well, did his eyes prophesy of you, saying, this people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth and honor with me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. But in vain, they do worship me, teaching for doctrines, the commandments of men. And he called the multitude and said unto them, hear and understand not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man, but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Then came his disciples and said unto him, knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended after they heard this saying? But he answered and said, every plant which my heavenly father hath not planted shall be rooted up. Let them alone. They be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. I love just the rough nature of the Lord Jesus Christ. He's preaching hard. He's rebuking people. And his disciples say, hey, don't you know that they're offended? Now, your average soy milk soaked sissy pastor today who's drinking, you know, soy milk lattes before the service, if he found out that he preached something that was offensive, he would just be, you know, flipping over just to try to to appease the situation and try to explain himself away and fall over himself saying, I didn't mean that. I didn't mean to offend anybody. But Jesus offends someone and he's just like, yep, they're blind leaders of the blind and they're both going to fall into the ditch. He didn't care that he was being offensive. He did not care one little bit that he was offending these people, because what he was saying is the truth. And us as Christians, when we read what the Bible says, every single line what we are reading is truth. And it doesn't matter what part of the Bible people want to get offended at. I'm not afraid of it, of them being offended. I'm not, you know, sad or ashamed if people are offended at the word of God. I'm just like, yep, they're blind leaders of the blind. Let them both fall into the ditch. You think that I care when a bunch of atheists want to pull out, you know, verses of the Old Testament and twist them and trying to attack the word of God. Hey, they're offended at the Bible. Guess what? Great peace have they which love thy law and nothing shall offend them. Maybe if you love the Bible a little more, nothing would offend you to begin with. We shouldn't be getting offended. And guess what? If we do get offended is because we're wicked. Jesus Christ is offending people not because of any problem of his own. It's not because God needed to search Jesus's heart and see if there's anything wicked in him. No, it's that there's wickedness in all of our hearts. And that's why we get offended from time to time. I'll read for you Romans Chapter nine, verse thirty three. The Bible says, as it is written, behold, I lay in Sion a stumbling stone and a rock of offense. And whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. It's like an NIV. You're searching to see if there's any offensive way in you. And the Bible literally calls Jesus Christ the rock of offense. It's like it's just it's a clown show. This Bible, the NIV is a clown show with all the wicked things that it says. Here's another doctrine that the NIV tampers with the doctrine that rapists should be put to death according to the word of God. Deuteronomy Chapter number 22. Flip over there to Deuteronomy Chapter number 22. Here's an offensive doctrine today for some people, the death penalty. The left doesn't like the death penalty today. They're offended by the death penalty. Should we should we ask God to search our hearts and find if there be any offensive way in us? Let's see what Deuteronomy Chapter number 22 says. Deuteronomy 22, let's start reading in verse number 22. If a man be found lying with a woman married to a husband, then they shall both of them die. Both the man that lay with the woman and the woman. So shalt thou put away evil from Israel. If a damsel that is a virgin be betrothed unto a husband and mate and a man find her in the street, I'm sorry, in the city and lie with her. Then you shall bring them both out onto the gate of the city and you shall stone them with stones that they die. The damsel, because she cried not being in the city and the man because he had humbled his neighbor's wife. So shall thou put away evil from among you. But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field and the man forced her and lie with her, then the man only that lie with her shall die. But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing. There is in the damsel no sin worthy of death. For as when a man rises against his neighbor and slayeth him, even so is this matter, for he found her in the field and the dam and the betrothed damsel cried and there was none to save her. So and sorry, let's keep reading. If a man find a damsel that is a virgin, which is not betrothed and lay hold on her and lie with her and they be found, then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father 50 shekels of silver and she shall be his wife because he hath humbled her. He may not put her away all his days. So what do we see in verse 22? We see the case of adultery. And in adultery, the death penalty is laid out on both the man and the woman. Then in verse 23 and 24, we see a man lay with a woman who is engaged, who is a spouse to a husband. And we see the death penalty put on both the man and the woman because it's adultery, according to the Bible. Then in verse in verse 25 to 27, we see rape. And in the King James Bible, the only person that's put to death in that situation is the rapist, the only person. Then in verse 28 and 29, we see the case of fornication. And the Bible says that when you commit fornication with a woman, when you humbled her before you're married, the right thing to do is to marry her. That is the right thing to do. Now, here's what atheists and people that hate God always say. They say, well, the Bible says that you have to marry your rapist. Have you ever heard someone say this before? This is just a very common lie. Just slander against the word of God. They'll say, oh, the Bible says you have to marry your rapist. What a wicked book. Well, that actually is what the NIV says in the NIV. It says if a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to her to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, he shall pay the girl's father 50 shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives. So according to the NIV, if a man, if a disgusting beast decides to just take a woman and rape her and just to do one of the most despicable sins in the Bible to her, he has to pay the father money and marry her for he has violated her. That doesn't even make any sense because you violated a woman. You have to marry her and you can never divorce her. That is wicked as hell. That is absolutely disgusting. That is blasphemy to the word of God, you know, to sit there and say that the Bible is telling you as a woman that if you get raped, if you're a victim, if you're a poor, innocent victim, that you have to marry the man that raped you. It's sick. It's absolutely perverted. But yet, when you're reading the NIV, that's what it says. Man, I can see how that could destroy someone's faith in the word of God. Someone who actually maybe does take the time to read the Bible through cover to cover. And a young lady gets to Deuteronomy chapter number 22. And she's like, wow, God wants me to marry someone that rapes me. Well, that's messed up, man. I don't want to serve this God. I don't have anything to do with this God. How what a horrible thing. Can you see how someone's faith can be destroyed by tampering with the word of God? Maybe that's why Jesus Christ said that every single person that does this is going to hell. Maybe that's why Jesus said when you remove from God's word, he's going to make sure you burn in hell, because guess what? I guarantee you people read this and think negatively of God because of it. People read it and people use it to attack the Lord Jesus Christ when he did not say that. What he said was that when you commit fornication with a woman, the best thing to do, the honorable thing to do is to marry them. And hey, wouldn't it be great in America if instead of having all these families with no dads, having all these kids growing up in foster care because their dad's a moron, because their dad's a loser that wants to go knock up a bunch of women and not put a ring on it? Maybe if the country followed the Bible, we'd have a better society. Maybe we'd have kids that actually are raised by loving fathers. That's what this verse is teaching. This verse would solve so many problems in our society. Yet these evil people want to use this verse to sling mud on the name of Jesus Christ. You know why they're doing it? They're doing it because the NIV. That's why you're not doing it from the King James Version. Show me the King James Version of the Bible where it says a woman has to marry her rapist. I'm so I'll be waiting forever. It's like that meme where you're the skeleton still waiting, still waiting for someone to show me the King James Bible where it says that a victim has to marry their rapist. I'll wait for eternity because it's not in there. This version is absolute garbage. We must reject this version of the Bible. It makes me mad because, like I said, you know what our family's reading? The NIV. You know what people have told when you're reading? The NIV. All these churches, all these mega churches, you know what most of them are using? The NIV. And yet it's full of all this deadly poison. All of this deadly poison. Let's make some practical application to the sermon. Turn to Matthew, chapter number seven, Matthew, chapter number seven. Let's read verse 15. Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. See, the NIV is not coming to you saying this is the book of Satan. No, it's in sheep's clothing. It says Holy Bible on the front, but it's not the Holy Bible. Verse 16, you shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles? Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit. Neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. And so the way we apply this is we need to judge a tree by its fruit today. Look around. Let's judge the fruit of the NIV. Where is the soul winning church that goes out and preaches people the gospel using the NIV? Show it to me. Where is the church that goes and preaches the NIV and preaches hard against sin and actually is changing people's lives with the word of God? Show me the church, you know, where they're reading the NIV, where the pastor meets all of the biblical qualifications. Maybe a few of them are there on that one, but not not very often. Half the time it's a women pastor, not even close to being qualified to being a pastor, just on the basis of her sex alone. That was as if any man desired the office of a bishop. OK, so judge the tree by its fruit. What is the good fruit of the NIV? I don't see it. I don't see the soul winners with the NIV. I don't see anything for God being done with NIV. I see the weakening down of our morals by weak churches that don't want to preach on sin. I see the feminizing of our men in churches that preach the NIV and are drinking soy milk lattes before service. And the pastor has skinny jeans on. That's what I see at the churches that preach the NIV. I don't see women obeying their husbands at churches that preach from the NIV. I don't see women, you know, being meek and quiet and wearing skirts and not going around dressing like a man and getting high and tight like they just enlisted in the Marine Corps. OK, you know what I see the real fruit of righteousness coming from? Churches that preach the King James Bible, churches that believe in the pure words of God. That's where we see the the real fruit coming from. Number two, we need to hate every false way. I'll read for you Psalm 119, verse 104. The Bible says, Through thy precepts I get understanding. Therefore, I hate every false way. You know, if you're a Christian and you're reading the word of God, you're getting understand through God's precepts, you love God's word and you hear a sermon like this showing you this imposter that claims to be the Bible and all the wicked things that are inside of it. If you don't hate that, there's something wrong with you. There's something wrong with a saved Christian that knows all of this stuff about the NIV and then just like, well, I'm just going to keep reading NIV anyways, because it doesn't say these and thou's. There's something wrong with that person. We need to hate every single false way when something is attacking the word of God, when something is going contrary to the doctrines, to the commandments, to the precepts of God, we should hate that false way. It is not an ungodly thing to hate the false way. No, if you love God, you will hate the false way. And number three, we need to believe and teach every word of God. The last place I'll have you turn is Second Timothy, chapter number four, Second Timothy, chapter number four. Verse one, the Bible says, I charge thee, therefore, before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom, preach the word be instant in season, out of season, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but after their own lusts, shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears and they shall turn away the ear, their ears from the truth and shall be turned onto fables. We need to be a church and we need to be families and we need to be men and women that believe and teach every word of God, because here we are in the United States of America, and we've arrived at that day where they're turning away their ears from the truth. We're arrived at that day where the number one selling Bible version in America is the NIV. They've turned away their ears from the law. But what are we supposed to do? We're supposed to still preach the word, preach the word, not the fake imposter NIV. Keep preaching the King James Bible, reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. We need to continuously preach the things that our society finds offensive, whether it's in season or out of season. That is what God has called us to do. And it doesn't matter how popular the NIV gets. There's going to be a new version that comes out next month. That's going to be gender neutral, I'm sure. OK. That hasn't already come out. But we are going to continue to preach the word, the real word of God. And that is the King James Bible. I'll finish with this verse. Hebrews four twelve for the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. The Bible is a very powerful thing. Hey, the Bible says Jesus Christ is the word. It's powerful. It is just completely powerful. And it's the only thing that is going to make a difference in people's lives is the word of God. It's the only thing you're not going to be changing people's lives with NIV. You'll actually you'll be changing people's lives just for the negative. They're going to read Deuteronomy Chapter 22, and they're going to say, you know, I don't want to be a Christian anymore. That's the only way it's going to be changing people's lives. So let's not be ashamed of the King James Bible. Let's hold up and champion the King James Bible. Someone asks us, hey, are you King James only? You better believe I'm King James only. Here's a hundred reasons why the NIV is garbage. Here's all these verses. You know, this would be good stuff to memorize, to do some research on your own and just to have more available to your arsenal. How soul winning to be able to fight this false doctrine. Let's pray. Lord, thank you so much for this day and thank you for the King James Bible. Thank you for being faithful to us and just preserving your word. We love it so much, Lord, and I pray that every single person in here would actually not just say they believe the King James Bible, but that they would read the King James Bible, that they would memorize the King James Bible, and that we would live our lives by the King James Bible. And I pray that you bless this church. I pray that you fill every person here with the Holy Spirit and help us all to be better Christians. And in Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
