So Jonah arose and went somewhere else, but Philip went where he was told to go. It says, and he arose and went, and behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure and had come to Jerusalem for to worship. So this man, and you know the story. This is a very popular chapter in the Bible. You all know what happens. But I just want to point out this guy is religious, but he's not saved. And obviously, you know that. But the man's not saved, but he's got his heart in the right place. He's trying to figure things out, because he's reading the Bible in his chariot. And we'll see that here in just a few minutes. But I just want to say this, that the Lord is looking for opportunities to see people saved. And so what did he do? He said, go and meet this guy. So these guys are going in probably opposite directions, but they meet up. They're out in the desert, out in the middle of nowhere. And this caravan comes by, and he's like, go talk to him. But we have situations that happen like that all the time when we're out soul wanting. But how often are we actually going to that person and talking to them? Are we too interested in the conversation we're having with our soul wanting partner? You got to look for opportunities. God's looking for an opportunity for you to get somebody saved, because he's not going to come down and do it himself. He needs us to do the work for him. And so we need to understand that when it's time for soul winning, it's time to look for those opportunities. It's time to talk to the person that crosses your path. Just because they're not at the next door you're at, if they're crossing your path, there's a good chance that person is going to get saved. And a lot of times, those are the people you do get saved, just the people that cross your path when you're walking. Sometimes they don't get saved. Sometimes they say, the white man stole my land and whatever, weird stuff. But he didn't actually cross our path, brother Matt. Matt went up to it, but that's how you get people saved when you're out soul wanting. And maybe the area is totally unreceptive, but then you notice that that one person that was walking by ends up being saved. Happens all the time. There's a prepared place for a prepared person. There's a prepared place for a prepared person. If you're prepared to give the gospel, God's going to send people across your path that you can get saved.
