But you know the Bible does teach us in the New Testament that you can become an enemy of God. The Bible says in James chapter 4 verse 4, Ye adulterers and adulteresses, knowing not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God, whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Folks, I wouldn't play with tattoos, piercings, or the like because of the fact that it's associated with the world and I don't want to be an enemy of God. Because I'm associated with the world. The Bible says in Jeremiah 10 to, Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the way of the heathen. Now, tattoos as I mentioned are not just popular amongst the general population, but now you have Christians getting inked up. Okay, and you know sometimes people just do it out of ignorance. And I'll give you an example of this, okay. When I first got saved, before I got saved, I was going to get my entire chest, back, arms tattoo. I was. Because it was just popular, okay. And I already had it planned out, what I was going to get, all these tattoos. And after I got saved, my pastor started preaching on it like right after. As soon as I got saved, he was just kind of hitting on it. He was talking about tattoos and stuff. And I was like, what? Saving up all this money. I got all these plans. But then I had an idea. Ah, Christian tattoos. Scriptures. So you know I'm scouring through the Bible and I found this verse in Psalm 120 verse 7. And I thought to myself, this is the one. I'm going to get this right across my chest. I was literally going to do it. And what did it say? What does Psalm 120 verse 7 say? I am for peace, but when I speak, they are for war. Talk about prophetic. And I was just like, you know, I'm going to get that right here. I'm saved now, so I'm going to get son of God across my stomach. I'm going to get some sort of prophetic image on my back. You know, I'm probably going to put KJV somewhere too. And I literally was going to do that. And so, but after he preached that, I went up to him and I said, hey, I heard you talking about tattoos. You know, you say they're bad. But you know, I was planning to get some tattoos, but they're Christian tattoos. They're King James only tattoos. They're independent fundamental Baptist tattoos though. I was like, is it right to do that? And he's like, he said, let me just be honest with you. I think tattoos are pretty cool. That's what he told me. He's just being honest. He goes, but they're not right. The Bible's against them. No matter if they're Christian or, you know, if you have Bible verses on it, it's wrong to do. It's wrong to do. You should not do it. And I didn't do it.
