All right, well, this morning we're having Pastor Jared Pazarski from Hold Fast Baptist Church in Fresno, California. He's going to be preaching for us this morning. We're going to have the reading of the text at this time. And then, young people, don't forget, your first opportunity to earn some raffle tickets to be able to win the electric scooter is going to be right after the sermon. We're going to have some questions for you about the preaching. So make sure you pay attention and you are ready to answer those questions. We're going to have the reading of the text at this time. Please open up to Deuteronomy 32. Deuteronomy chapter number 32. If you need a Bible, just put your hand up and I'm not sure you can come by and read your Bible. Deuteronomy 32. Just keep your hand up if you need a Bible. I'm not sure you'll come by. Deuteronomy 32. We'll read the entire chapter as our custom. Just keep your hand up and I'm not sure you'll come by. Deuteronomy 32 beginning in verse number 1. Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak. And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. My doctrine shall drop as the rain. My speech shall distill as the dew. As the small rain upon the tender herb. And as the showers upon the grass. Because I will publish the name of the Lord. A scribey greatness unto our God. He is the rock. His work is perfect. For all his ways are judgment. A God of truth and without iniquity. Just and right is he. They have corrupted themselves. Their spot is not the spot of his children. They are perverse and crooked generation. Do ye thus requite the Lord, O foolish people and unwise? Is not he thy father that hath bought thee? Hath he not made thee and established thee? Remember the days of old. Consider the years of many generations. Ask thy father and he will show thee. Thy elders and they will tell thee. When the Most High divided to the nations their inheritance. When he separated the sons of Adam. He set the balance of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. For the Lord's portion is his people. Jacob is the lot of his inheritance. He found him in a desert land. And in the waste howling wilderness. He led him about. He instructed him. He kept him as the apple of his eye. As an eagle stirreth up her nest. Floodereth over her young. Spreadeth abroad her wings. Taketh them. Beareth them on her wings. So the Lord alone did lead him. And there was no stranger, no strange God with him. He made him ride on the high places of the earth. That he might eat the increase of the fields. And he made him to suck honey out of the rock. And oil out of the flinty rock. Butter of kind and milk of sheep. With fat of lambs and rams of the breed of bation. And goats with the fat of kidneys of wheat. And thou didst drink the pure blood of the grape. But ye sure in waxed fat and kicked. Thou art waxing fat. Thou art grown thick. Thou art covered with fatness. Then he forsook God which made him. And lightly esteemed the rock of his salvation. They provoked him to jealousy with strange gods. Where the abominations provoked they him to anger. They sacrificed unto devils. Not to God. To gods whom they knew not. To new gods that came newly up. Whom your fathers feared not. Of the rock that begat thee thou art unmindful. And has forgotten God that formed thee. And when the Lord saw it. He abhorred them. Because of the provoking of his sons and of his daughters. And he said. I will hide my face from them. I will see what their ends shall be. For they are a very froward generation. Children in whom is no faith. They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God. They have provoked me to anger with their vanities. And I will move them to jealousy with those which are not a people. I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation. For a fire is kindled in mine anger. And shall burn unto the lowest hell. And shall consume the earth with her increase. And set on fire the foundations of the mountains. I will heap mischiefs upon them. I will spend mine arrows upon them. They shall be burnt with hunger. And devoured with burning heat. And with bitter destruction. I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them. With the poison of serpents of the dust. The sword without and terror within. Shall destroy both the young man and the virgin. The suckling also with the man of gray hairs. I said. I would scatter them into corners. I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men. Were it not that I feared the wrath of the enemy. Lesser adversaries should behave themselves strangely. And less they should say. Our hand is high and the Lord hath not done all this. For they are a nation void of counsel. Neither is there any understanding in them. Oh that they were wise. That they understood this. That they would consider their latter end. How should one chase a thousand and two put ten thousand to flight. Except their rock had sold them and the Lord had shut them up. For their rock is not as our rock. Even our enemies themselves being judges. For the vine is of the vine of Sodom. And of the fields of Gomorrah. Their grapes are grapes of gall. Their clusters are bitter. Their wine is the poison of dragons. And the cruel venom of asps. Is not this laid up in store with me. And sealed up among my treasures. To me belongeth vengeance and recompense. Their foot shall slide in due time. For the day of their calamity is at hand. And the things that shall come upon them make haste. For the Lord shall judge his people. And repent himself for his servants. When he seeth that their power is gone. And there is none shut up or left. And he shall say. Where are their gods? Their rock in whom they trusted. Wish to eat the fat of their sacrifices and drink the wine of their drink offerings. Let them rise up and help you and be your protection. See now that I, even I am he and there is no God with me. I kill and I make alive. I wound and I heal. Neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand. For I lift up my hand to heaven and say I live forever. If I wet my glittering sword and mine hand take hold on judgment. I will render vengeance to mine enemies. And will reward them that hate me. I will make mine heirs drunk with blood and my sword shall devour flesh. And that with the blood of the slain and of the captives. From the beginning of revenges upon the enemy. Rejoice O ye nations with his people. For he will avenge the blood of his servants. And will render vengeance to his adversaries. And will be merciful unto his land and to his people. And Moses came and spake all the words of this song in the ears of the people. He and Hoshea the son of Nun. And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel. And he said unto them. Set your hearts into all the words which I testify among you this day. Which he shall command your children to observe to do all the words of this law. For it is not a vain thing for you because it is your life. And through this thing you shall prolong your days in the land. With the ego over Jordan to possess it. And the Lord spake unto Moses the selfsame day saying. Get thee up unto this Mount Eberim unto Mount Nebo. Which is in the land of Moab that is over against Jericho. And behold the land of Canaan which I give unto the children of Israel for possession. And die in the mount whither thou goest up. And be gathered unto thy people as Aaron thy brother died in Mount Hore. And was gathered unto his people. Because he trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Mary about Kadesh. In the wilderness of Zin. Because he sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel. Yet thou shalt see the land before thee. But thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give to the children of Israel. Let's pray. Heavenly Father thank you for this morning God. I thank you for this conference Lord. And I pray that you please meet with all of us. Especially the teens this morning God. And I ask that you give the pastor this morning to strengthen him. And for the rest of the spirit we love you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen. Good morning. Good to see you also pastor. Good to see you also pastor. Jimenez told me that he wanted me to give a message to a group of teenagers. And my first thought was, teenagers? What in the world? I'm not going to say to a bunch of teenagers, are they even going to listen? But you know that's not actually what I thought. But you know isn't that kind of reputation that teenagers get? Teenagers kind of get this reputation. I can still remember you know many many decades ago when I was a teenager. And people kind of you know were kind of hard on teenagers. You know teenagers are foolish. You're just a teenager they say. Teenagers are expected to do things incorrectly. They're expected to not think things through. It's almost like they're you know you're a subclass. Some people teach you know or kind of come down on teenagers like that. But let's look at what the Bible says this morning. You're going to keep your place in Deuteronomy chapter 32. So Deuteronomy chapter 32, just do me a favor this morning. Look at the very first words of Deuteronomy chapter 32 where it says give ear and listen. So I want you to listen to me this morning. Let's look at what the Bible says about teenagers. You know teenagers the Bible is actually different from what you know people kind of look at teenagers about. The Bible is actually pretty says teenagers are pretty important. All right so let's look at the Bible this morning. You're going to keep your place in Deuteronomy chapter 32. So if we go to other places you're going to bookmark that because we're going to come back to that in a few minutes. In Numbers chapter 1 you turn to Exodus chapter 30. Numbers chapter 1 says this. You see there's something interesting in the Bible about ages. There's a certain age in the Bible that just is pointed out over and over again. And that's the age of 20. The age of 20 in Numbers chapter 1 verse 3. You're going to Exodus 30 chapter verse number 14. Numbers chapter 1 and verse number 30. The Bible says from 20 years old and upward all that are able to go forth to war in Israel thou and Aaron shall number them by their armies. So here the Bible is pointing out that at the age of 20 you're responsible to go and fight for your nation. You're going to be numbered amongst the people that would be able to go and fight. Amongst the men that would be able to go and fight. Anybody under 20 wouldn't be counted in that army. Look at Exodus chapter 30 verse number 14. We just see this number 20 come up over and over and over again in the Bible. Exodus chapter 30. I'll just give you a few examples. Verse 14 says this. It says everyone that passeth among them that are numbered from 20 years old and above shall give an offering unto the Lord. Meaning once you're 20 years old now you're spiritually responsible to bring that offering yourself. Not your parents but you had to bring that offering yourself. At what age? At the age of 20. In Numbers chapter 32 I'll read you another one. Verse number 11 says this. Surely none of the men that come up out of Egypt from 20 years old and upward shall see the land which I swear unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob because they had not wholly followed me. Meaning God was literally holding the nation responsible for the disobedience of everyone 20 years old and upward. You're like yes I'm not 20. I'm not responsible. I don't have to be responsible. What I'm trying to get you to understand this morning is at 20 years old the Bible is pretty much defining here that childhood is over. That now you are responsible for the life that's in front of you. God's going to hold you responsible. The nation responsible for your sins. You're responsible to have your own spiritual life to go and give your own offerings. That is that marker that God puts in the Bible that at 20 is when all that begins. Meaning what? Meaning these teen years are the last years before that wall comes. I would say those are pretty important years if you look at it that way. The last years, it's a critical crossroads when you think about what the Bible is saying here about 20 years old and upward. So these teen years, these last years that you have running up to the age of 20, there's all these on ramps that are in front of you. And it's a critical crossroads. No, you think about it. Think about it. Think about just people that you know, situations that you've seen. You're like well I'm only a teenager but even the adults here think about this. Anybody that went off the rails in their life, most times you can trace that back to what? To those teenage years. It's a critical crossroads even in your life. Many times the habits that are formed as an adult, when did they start? They started in the teenage years. Many times those sins that trouble people throughout their life, those direct sins, started in the teenage years. This is a very critical time. So this is not something that, oh, just a teenager. You know, just throwing off that you're expected to be foolish. No, this is a critical time in your life because it's the last time before this age where the teenage years end and that adulthood begins. But these years, I mean think about this, the decisions that you make, the things that you do, the things that are important to you, they're all defined in those teenage years. That's when it all begins with people. So, you know, hey, you know, no pressure. No pressure this morning. So I'm just going to ask you, I'm going to challenge you this morning, just listen to what I'm saying. You're going to hear me say that word again and again this morning. Listen to what I'm saying. Listen to the Word of God this morning. Listen to the Word of God over the next couple of days. In Colossians chapter 2, go ahead and turn there. This is why, because this is such a critical time in your life, these teenage years, because it is so critical, this is why the world will lie to you especially. You're actually especially important to the messaging that this world is giving. Many of it is geared towards you, teenagers, right here. You say, why? Look at Colossians chapter 2 and verse number 8. Colossians chapter 2 and verse number 8, the Bible says, beware. This is a warning. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. When I think of philosophy, I think of, you know, I think of a university system. Who is that geared towards? It's geared towards the teenagers. I think of the philosophies, you know, I think of the godlessness. I think of the secular humanism. I think of the fake science. I really hate fake science. It's all geared towards teenagers under the guise of education. I think of all the, any twisted perversion that you can think of today is geared towards you, teenagers. It's all marketed specifically through all sorts of media to you, teenagers. Media influence in general, geared towards teenagers. Pop culture, geared towards teenagers. Major industries, major industries. I just read, I've been hearing this for decades, by the way, but there was just an example I just looked up in preparation for this sermon. An e-cigarette company has sued for $440 million. They just lost the lawsuit because they were marketing to teenagers. This is not a surprise. It's been happening for decades and decades and decades. Alcohol companies, drugs, all this marketed to who? Teenagers. Why? There's all these onramps that are being put in front of you as teenagers. I mean, they're all fighting for your attention. They're saying, come this way, come on to this onramp. Come our way, trying to lead you down these roads. You say, why? Because they want customers for life, that's why. That's why, because at that 20, see, it doesn't just happen at 20. All those onramps were entered in those teen years. Look, these people are smart. They know this. They say, who's smart? But look, these onramps are, they're meat grinders that will chew you up and spit you out, is what they are. So the point I'm trying to say is that these ramps that you choose in these extremely significant years of your life, many times they'll define your entire life, is what you will see. Notice how Colossians chapter 2 says these two words, it says, spoil you. Notice how it doesn't say like, you know, it doesn't say it's going to set you back a little bit. It's saying, no, these things can spoil you, meaning they can ruin you. I know people that decisions they made in their teenage years have literally spoiled them for their entire lives until they die off this earth. Habits, sins, consequences, it all starts, it's all spawned in these teenage years. Look, even Christians, even Christians, maybe they got saved later in life, or maybe Christians that were saved and made wrong decisions when they were teenagers, even Christians, these things haunt them their entire lives because of what? These things in the teenage years, these on-ramps, these things that were put in front of them in their teenage years. You say, but I'm saved, Pastor Jared, I'm saved. But you know, in Colossians chapter 4, you say, why is this? What's the source of all this? In Colossians chapter 4, Satan is called the god of this world. That's what he's called. You know what he's trying to do, saved teenager? He's trying to stop you. He can't take away your salvation. He can't make you unsaved. He's trying to stop you from being that difference in this world. He's trying to stop you from being that prophet for people. He's trying to stop you from being that Christian who could literally change thousands of lives, is what he's trying to do. You're like, man, Pastor, this all sounds really bad. What chance do I have? It's quite a flood, especially today. You can't turn on anything or look anywhere without seeing what I'm talking about today. And it's all geared towards you. You say, what chance do I have with all of these attacks coming in my direction? Well, you're here. It took me 38 years to find this place, and you're here now. That's a pretty big, I'd say you're doing pretty good. I'd say you're doing pretty good at this point, but here's a challenge for you today and tomorrow at this conference, and then hopefully you carry this challenge forward in your life. I know there's going to be dodgeball and jousting and wrestling. I was telling the kids last night, I don't know what you're going to see tomorrow. I wrestled for many, many years, and many times it felt like a life and death struggle. I'm not sure that's what you're going to see tonight. But anyway, you're going to have a lot of fun, and I'm sure there's going to be a lot of excitement and things this evening. But what I challenge you to do, just as Deuteronomy 32 said at the beginning of the chapter, listen, listen, listen to the Word of God today. Listen to the Word of God tomorrow, and listen to the Word of God in your lives, teenager, because you are not just a teenager. Let God speak to you. Listen. Pray. Do you have a prayer life as a teenager? You're about to be 20 in a couple years. Pray. Look, some prayers you just know will be answered. Pray for God to show you the direction that you should go in your life, and you know that prayer will be answered. Some prayers you just know. Ask God to help you define your life. Ask God to help you shut off all the garbage that's marketed and geared towards you. Turn back to Deuteronomy 32. Listen today. Listen this week. Listen to Pastor Anderson tonight. See, another thing that you're told as teenagers in this world is you're being taught all this victimology today. You're being taught that, you know, I am this way because this person did this. I am, you know, I am the product of my environment. That is not the Bible. Look at Deuteronomy chapter 32. Your life, your life, this is the last words that Moses says to his people before he dies. Now, whenever somebody's giving you their last words, you should listen, because they're telling you, I mean, if I had five minutes, if your dad had five minutes left in his life with you, those would be some of the most important words that he would say to you. We just went through Paul's last words to the Ephesians, to the leaders of the church in Ephesus. These are some important words when they're the last words. They're the most important things he can think of in this song of Moses that he needs to relay to the people before he leaves this earth. Look at verse number 46. See, you're not a product of your environment. You're not, you know, you're not just, you know, a victim of whatever has happened to you or hasn't happened to you in your life. That's what the world wants you to think. The Bible says this. Look at verse 46. The Bible says we choose. In verse number 46, the Bible says, And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe and do, all the words of this law. Talking about the words of the Lord, the law of God is what he is talking about. For it is not a vain thing for you, look what he says here, because it is your life, and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over the Jordan to possess it. He's saying, look, look folks, you know what he's saying? He's saying it's your decisions. It's your decisions. Look, there is no aristocracy in the Christian life. Your life will be a sum of your choices. That's what Moses is saying here. Listen these next couple of days and let the word of God guide you in your life. Today, tonight, tomorrow, always, in these critical years of your life. Look, after Moses died, Moses was not allowed to go across, Moses was not allowed to go across the Jordan into the Promised Land. After he died, they crossed the river. The priests, they stepped their feet into the Jordan River and the river parted until the priests, you know, so I assume it was a not so deep part of the river. The priests, they put their feet in the river, the river waters stopped, the people passed over, but in Joshua chapter 4, the priests didn't lift their feet out of the river until something Joshua commanded them, God commanded Joshua to command the people to go grab stones out of the midst of the river, out of the middle of the river. So they went and they grabbed these stones, 12 stones, one for each tribe, and they built a memorial, and they built a memorial where the priests' feet were. So they stacked up these stones and they built this memorial, then the priests walked out of the river and then the river flowed again. So there was this memorial, this memorial was so they would look back and they would see what God had done for them. So they'd be able to look back, their children, who didn't cross the river, would be able to look back and see what the Lord had done with them. I imagine this monument in the river, and I don't know how big the monument was, I don't know how big the stones were, but you know what I imagine was the most visible part of the monument? It probably wasn't the rocks themselves, it was as the water hit the rocks, and if you've ever seen like rapids and formed, you know, a disruption in the river around the monument, I'm sure it was quite a scene. You know this little monument in the river and these waters hitting and flowing past this monument. You see kids, to be selfish with my generation right now, when you choose to listen, teenagers, when you choose to listen to the Word of God, when you ignore all the other noise flowing past you, you become our monument. I was talking to some of the kids that I already consider monuments in my life. I was asking some of the kids that I used to know as teenagers in this church, how old are you? How old are you? That's why I was asking everybody this morning. 20, 21 years old. They're out of those teenage years, and now they're a monument that we look back on. And they're a monument as we see they were that monument that had all those things coming at them. They listened to the Word of God, they chose, they made their own choices, they chose to listen and hear and follow the Word of God, and now they're a monument to us. That's why we did this. It's why we brought you here. That's our monument. You say, oh, I'm just a teenager. You're not just a teenager. You're at a critical point in your life, and you are a testimony. And you know what? You're not just a testimony to me looking down on your age, you're a testimony to those who are younger than you looking up at you. You're a monument in both directions. As you listen and as you choose and make those choices, it's why we sacrificed. It's why we brought you here at all costs. It's critical. Don't ever let anybody tell you that you're just a teenager. Have fun this week, but pray this week. Pray this week. Maybe you're like, I'm a teenager and I don't know, I don't know where my life is supposed to go. Pray. God will answer that prayer. Pray and listen. Listen to the Lord in your life. He will work in your life because He knows, He knows the thousands of people that you will touch and bring in to the kingdom of God if you do so. Have fun. Enjoy this conference, but listen to the word of God in your life. I beg you, because you will be a monument for those older than you and those younger than you. Let's bow our heads and have a word of prayer. Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you for this conference. I thank you for all these young people, Lord. I thank you for these teenagers. Lord, I pray that you would answer the prayers that they send up in the next couple of days, Lord, in their lives. Show them the way. Help them to have the ears to listen. Help them to have soft hearts to understand what you want for them in their lives. And no matter where they came from, no matter what their circumstances are, you can work greatly through them and touch thousands of lives for the kingdom of heaven. Lord, we love you. We thank you for these things. In Jesus' name. Amen. All right. Thank you, Pastor Prejones. He has a great sermon. So it's time for a quiz. All right, let's see. Let's see who raised their hands first. Who was paying attention to the sermon this morning? Okay, question. At what age does adulthood start in the Bible? I saw a hand go first up here. I think it might have been. Yeah, one of you. You. What is it? Twenty years old. You got it right. All right. Cheer for him. All right. All right. All right. Let's see. Okay. So, what was the challenge from the beginning of the chapter? Listening here. All right. We got a raffle ticket. All right. All right. Sorry. There's a lot of hands going up. Okay. What is victimology? Yes. Perfect. There you go. Great answer. All right. That's two for Atilius and one for Spartacus. Okay. What is our monument? Referring to the adults. It went up again here. One of you two again. Perfect. All right. All right. Good job. That's it. So, at this time, the pastor will come up. All right. Good. Good job. Let me see. Let me see your hands. Who answered a question and got a raffle ticket? Raise your hand. Over here. One over here. Two over here. It doesn't help that he's blind on this side, so maybe next time we'll. No, that's good. All right. Good. So, we need you kids that got the raffle tickets. Write your names down. Stick them in here. There's a little slot. Stick them in here. And then, at the end of the conference, we'll raffle some of those things off. All right. So, it is almost 11. Let's go ahead and take our song books. We're going to sing one song, and then we're going to get you going. Go to page number 364. Page number 364. Standing on the promises. 364. Sing it out on the first. Standing on the promises of Christ my King. Through eternal ages let His praises ring. Glory in the highest I will shout and sing. Standing on the promises of God. Standing, standing, standing on the promises of God my Savior. Standing, I'm standing on the promises of God. 364. Sing it out on the second. Standing on the promises that cannot fail. When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail. By the living Word of God I shall prevail. Standing on the promises of God. Standing, standing, standing on the promises of God my Savior. Standing, standing, I'm standing on the promises of God. Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord. Bound to Him eternally by love's strong cord. Overcoming daily with the Spirit's sword. Standing on the promises of God. Standing, standing, I'm God my Savior. Standing, standing, I'm standing on the promises of God. 364. Sing it out on the last. Standing on the promises I cannot fall. Listening every moment to the Spirit's call. Resting in my Savior as my all in all. Standing on the promises of God. Standing, standing, standing on the promises of God my Savior. Standing, standing, I'm standing on the promises of God. Alright, well thank you very much Pastor Brzezinski. That was a great challenge for the teens. Alright kids and parents, I just have to announce, I know that kids sometimes they take a little bit of time to get warmed up. Alright, so this was your warm up session. This was just to get you here, to get you to understand what we're doing, to get you to be ready to hear from the Word of God, and of course you already have heard from the Word of God this morning, and that's a great challenge this morning, but we're going to feed you at noon at the park. We're going to get some food in your belly. You're going to have to stretch out a little bit, get warmed up, get ready for some competitions. You're going to not only get points for competing, not only get points for winning, you're going to get points for cheering. Alright, so we've got some banners over here. We've got a banner for each one of those teams. Make sure that one of the kids grabs those banners, takes them to the park. Get your team to cheer, alright. I realize that you're cool, but you can be cool and still cheer, alright. So cheer, maybe learn the wave. It kind of goes like this, you know, and I'm just kidding. Learn the wave and have a good time. You'll get points for cheering. You'll get points for participating. We're bribing you with Amazon gift cards. It's going to be a fun time, alright. So it is about just a little bit before 11 a.m., so we want to give you some time. We're going to meet at the park at noon. We need all of the kids to wear their Next Generation Youth Rally t-shirts, alright. If you don't have it on already, make sure you find somewhere to change into your t-shirt. Make sure you have your shirt on at the park so we can know who is on whose team, and we can compete that way. If you have not yet looked around, make sure you go to the fellowship hall. Check out the ring. Check out all the posters that are over there. If you have any questions, please let us know. I'm going to go to pray, and we're going to dismiss you, and we're going to meet at noon at the park. You're obviously welcome to go there a little earlier if you'd like. Let's bow our heads and have a word of prayer. Heavenly Father, Lord, we do thank you for this time. We thank you for these young people, Lord. We know that they're special, and we're glad that they're here. We're glad that they have parents that would bring them, pastors that would encourage them to come to an event like this. And Lord, I pray that you'd help these kids, help them to hear from your word, Lord. Help their hearts to be sensitive to the Word of God. Help them to have a good time, Lord. And I do pray, like Pastor Przarnowski preached this morning, that we would help them to avoid all the regrets that tend to come back into life. And Lord, we pray that you, we would help them to be able to just stay on the right path, and that they would be those monuments that we could look back on later on in life. And say, wow, that was a great product. And Lord, we pray that you would please bless these kids. Help them to learn to love you, to serve you. We love you. In the matchless name of Christ, we pray. Amen. All right, God bless you. You are dismissed.
