And so if you're 08:16.620 --> 08:18.100 if you're written in the Lamb's Book of Life. 08:18.400 --> 08:23.360 You are in but anything else that defileth or any abomination any 08:23.960 --> 08:28.380 These weirdo homos, they're not coming in no liars and 08:29.180 --> 08:33.660 God is the one that makes the rules and so he decides who gets to be in or not verse 08:34.280 --> 08:39.980 1 in chapter 22 says and he showed me a pure river of water of life 08:40.800 --> 08:44.600 Clear as crystal proceeded out of the throne of God 08:45.200 --> 08:46.780 and of the Lamb. 08:46.780 --> 08:50.980 And I believe that this obviously is a real river, 08:50.980 --> 08:53.680 and I also do believe that it represents 08:53.680 --> 08:55.980 the Holy Spirit and everlasting life. 08:55.980 --> 08:59.680 So it's a real thing, but it also represents something 08:59.680 --> 09:02.280 that's already been talked about in Scripture before. 09:02.280 --> 09:06.160 And notice that it says that it's a pure river 09:06.160 --> 09:09.820 of water of life, and it's clear as crystal. 09:10.100 --> 09:13.100 And salvation is clear as crystal too. 09:13.100 --> 09:14.300 It shouldn't be muddy. 09:14.300 --> 09:17.460 There shouldn't be any repenting of sins, 09:17.460 --> 09:20.700 any of this, any mud that people like to put 09:20.700 --> 09:23.380 to make salvation unclear at all. 09:23.900 --> 09:28.640 And that's what people like to do when they muddy up the gospel, when they try to add 09:28.640 --> 09:33.660 works into salvation, or say that you have to have the works or you're not really saved, 09:33.660 --> 09:35.060 all this kind of stuff. 09:35.060 --> 09:37.120 That is not crystal clear. 09:37.120 --> 09:38.940 Crystal clear is salvation by faith alone. 09:38.940 --> 09:43.820 It's a free gift and you don't have to do anything to earn it or to keep it and it lasts 09:43.820 --> 09:44.820 forever. 09:44.820 --> 09:47.420 That is crystal clear and that is what the Bible teaches. 09:47.420 --> 09:51.900 And I think that this is summoning us back to John chapter four and probably 09:51.900 --> 09:56.380 other passages in the Bible that I can't think of right now. But definitely John chapter 4 09:57.180 --> 10:03.500 was jogged in my memory when I went to study about this passage. Why does it jog me back to 10:03.500 --> 10:07.100 the Holy Spirit and everlasting life? Well let's keep your finger here. Let's turn back to John 10:07.100 --> 10:13.180 chapter 4 and I'll show you why. Jesus is speaking to the woman at the well and he's speaking to her 10:13.180 --> 10:17.900 about salvation and he reveals to himself that he's the Messiah. This is a woman of 10:17.900 --> 10:19.900 of Samaria. She's had five husbands. 10:19.900 --> 10:22.700 and the one that she's living with right now is not her husband. 10:23.100 --> 10:25.340 He's told her about, you know, she says, 10:25.340 --> 10:27.300 you've told me everything I've ever done or whatever. 10:27.300 --> 10:28.740 That's not really exactly accurate, 10:28.740 --> 10:31.540 but you know, she understands that he's a prophet. 10:31.540 --> 10:34.460 She says, sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. 10:34.460 --> 10:36.700 Like, yeah, if somebody told me some things 10:36.700 --> 10:37.700 that there's no way they could know, 10:37.700 --> 10:39.400 I'd probably perceive that also. 10:39.400 --> 10:41.240 So she's a pretty perceptive person. 10:41.240 --> 10:44.540 She has the spirit of a perception there. 10:44.540 --> 10:46.460 But verse number 10, let's look at verse number 10. 10:46.460 --> 10:48.480 It says, Jesus answered her and said, 10:48.480 --> 10:51.100 if thou knewest the gift of God, see, it's a gift. 10:51.100 --> 10:56.380 and who it is that saith to thee, give me to drink, thou wouldest have asked of 10:56.380 --> 11:00.100 him and he would have given thee living water. 11:00.200 --> 11:08.960 So, see how it's jogging us back to this living water, a pure river of water of life. 11:08.960 --> 11:14.800 And it says in verse 11, the woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, 11:14.800 --> 11:16.200 and the well is deep. 11:16.200 --> 11:19.320 From whence then hast thou that living water? 11:19.320 --> 11:24.720 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, 11:24.720 --> 11:26.240 and his children, and his cattle? 11:26.600 --> 11:32.980 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again. 11:32.980 --> 11:38.020 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst. 11:38.020 --> 11:44.580 But the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into 11:44.580 --> 11:46.740 everlasting life. 11:46.740 --> 11:51.700 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water that I thirst not, neither come hither 11:51.700 --> 11:53.500 to draw." 11:53.500 --> 11:54.100 So. 11:54.400 --> 11:59.440 I believe that this is direct and look John is the writer of John chapter 4 11:59.440 --> 12:05.780 I mean it's John chapter 4 and he's also the one that is receiving this message in Revelation chapter 22 12:06.000 --> 12:08.000 So I don't think there's any mistaken 12:08.600 --> 12:16.160 There's no mistaking the fact that this is drawing us back to this specific story. 12:16.160 --> 12:21.600 And Jesus telling the story to this woman, it does equate a little bit here. 12:21.600 --> 12:27.160 So back to Revelation 22 verse 1 it says, and he showed me a pure river of water of 12:27.160 --> 12:32.100 of life, clears crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God. 12:32.300 --> 12:38.380 of the Lamb. And look, God gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in 12:38.380 --> 12:42.060 Him should not perish but have everlasting life. So salvation comes 12:42.060 --> 12:46.620 obviously from God the Father but it comes also through Jesus Christ. 12:46.620 --> 12:51.400 No, there's no salvation outside of Jesus Christ. It comes through Jesus. 12:51.500 --> 12:58.500 But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12:58.500 --> 13:01.500 And so this is that picture. 13:01.500 --> 13:11.300 And of course this Holy Spirit is the one that is picturing that river of life that bubbles up unto... 13:11.400 --> 13:15.040 that springs up that well of water springing up into everlasting life. 13:15.040 --> 13:25.400 And that is the clear crystal water that's living water that is springing up into everlasting life. 13:25.400 --> 13:27.400 So if you're saved... 13:27.700 --> 13:34.700 you will and have and do experience this living water and will experience it for all eternity. 13:34.700 --> 13:37.700 But that's a cool picture there of salvation. 13:37.700 --> 13:42.700 And then verse number two in our text here says, 13:42.700 --> 13:48.700 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, there was the tree of life, 13:48.700 --> 13:53.700 which bear twelve manner of fruits and yielded her fruit every month. 13:54.700 --> 13:59.900 and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 14:00.780 --> 14:06.300 Now why would we need to eat of this tree to heal the nations? Well I mean I think that 14:07.180 --> 14:10.700 that you still will have everlasting life whether you ate of this or not. 14:10.700 --> 14:15.580 But what is this drawing us a picture back to? Because remember in the last chapter it said, 14:15.580 --> 14:18.580 Behold, I make all things new. 14:18.580 --> 14:19.780 What was first placed? 14:20.200 --> 14:26.440 in the Garden of Eden for Adam and Eve. There was a tree of life wasn't there. And there was a tree 14:26.440 --> 14:33.080 of the knowledge of good and evil. That tree won't exist in heaven. That tree is not going to exist. 14:33.080 --> 14:40.360 We're not going to be able to do evil anymore. We're not going to have that temptation there for us ever again. 14:42.000 --> 14:45.200 It is drawing us back to that tree. 14:45.200 --> 14:49.500 It's helping us to understand that this is drawing back to the symbolism of the tree 14:49.500 --> 14:50.500 of life. 14:50.500 --> 14:53.800 And it says that bear 12 manna of fruit. 14:53.800 --> 14:59.000 So of course, you know, there's the 12 apostles, there's the 12 tribes of Israel, and then 14:59.000 --> 15:01.920 of course there's 12 months in a year. 15:01.920 --> 15:05.200 And so that's why it's, you know, it's saying that, you know, every year... 15:05.500 --> 15:07.980 But, you know, time will be no more. 15:07.980 --> 15:16.820 So really, in reality, this is symbolic, but I believe that it also is literal. 15:16.820 --> 15:22.020 though time will be irrelevant to us as far as like 15:22.600 --> 15:25.000 time will be no more as far as like, 15:25.000 --> 15:27.680 we won't have to worry about, 15:27.680 --> 15:29.180 hey, you know, I'm seven years old, 15:29.180 --> 15:31.760 I'm getting old enough to where I have to start 15:31.760 --> 15:33.280 worrying about some things. 15:33.280 --> 15:36.240 That's not gonna mean anything to us anymore. 15:36.240 --> 15:40.120 And night and day isn't gonna mean anything to us anymore. 15:40.120 --> 15:44.400 And the keeping of time is not gonna really mean much to us 15:44.400 --> 15:47.960 as far as what it means to us now. 15:47.960 --> 15:50.600 So I'm not saying that there, I mean, obviously there's 15:50.600 --> 16:00.080 There's still some sort of timekeeping regarding this stuff here, but this could be just, well, 16:00.080 --> 16:05.160 I mean it says it's there, the tree of life which bear 12 manner of fruits and yielded 16:05.160 --> 16:09.720 her fruit every month and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nation. 16:09.720 --> 16:12.640 So I mean that's just what it says. 16:12.640 --> 16:16.280 So verse 3, and there shall be no more curse. 16:16.700 --> 16:19.700 So, there's no more curse. 16:19.700 --> 16:21.700 So, what is the curse though? 16:21.700 --> 16:23.700 The curse is death. 16:23.700 --> 16:25.700 So, death will no longer exist. 16:25.700 --> 16:28.700 And so, even if you don't eat those... 16:29.300 --> 16:34.580 you're still gonna not be cursed. You know what I mean? So I just think I'm hoping that that's 16:34.580 --> 16:39.780 like the ribeye tree, you know, the baked potato with all the works tree and all that kind of 16:39.780 --> 16:44.180 stuff.
