What is their fate? And I preached a whole sermon about 07:10.840 --> 07:15.960 God's deadlines this morning and one of the things that you can't do and still be saved is 07:15.960 --> 07:22.600 take the mark of the beast. And so let's start at verse number one. 07:22.800 --> 07:26.800 And my first point is the Lamb and the 144,000. 07:26.800 --> 07:29.600 So the 144,000 are getting mentioned again. 07:29.600 --> 07:32.400 And remember, they were mentioned in chapter number seven. 07:32.400 --> 07:35.400 So again, this also proves once again 07:35.400 --> 07:38.000 that the book of Revelation is not in chronological order 07:38.000 --> 07:41.200 because why would it go chapter seven tells us 07:41.200 --> 07:45.600 about the 144,000 and all of a sudden 07:45.600 --> 07:49.000 they're being talked about again in the same light. 07:49.000 --> 07:50.800 It's just giving us more. 07:50.800 --> 07:56.700 details about the 144,000 in chapter 14. So verse number one says, 07:56.700 --> 08:04.200 And I looked in low, a lamb stood on the Mount Sion, and with him 144,000 having 08:04.200 --> 08:09.040 his father's name written in their foreheads. And I heard a voice from 08:09.040 --> 08:13.580 heaven as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder, and I 08:13.580 --> 08:15.400 heard the voice of harpers. 08:15.500 --> 08:22.120 harping with their harps. And you'll notice a big theme in the New Testament especially 08:22.120 --> 08:27.540 is voices being heard from heaven. And a lot of times you'll hear it's the father's 08:27.540 --> 08:31.460 voices heard. This is my beloved son, whom I'm well pleased. 08:31.900 --> 08:37.040 But also, I mean, you'll hear the voice of God from heaven, but you'll also hear angels 08:37.040 --> 08:44.000 uttering things, and then obviously these thunders that are sounding. 08:44.000 --> 08:46.400 So it says that it's the voice of a great thunder. 08:46.400 --> 08:50.460 But this voice, it's not saying that it's thunder that's speaking, it's just saying 08:50.460 --> 08:51.700 how loud the voice is. 08:51.700 --> 08:54.400 It's the voice from heaven as the voice of many waters. 08:54.400 --> 08:57.100 When you hear many waters, like if you go to Multnomah Falls and you stand next to the 08:57.100 --> 08:59.900 falls you hear that sound of 08:59.900 --> 09:03.020 many waters crashing down on the rocks, right? 09:03.020 --> 09:04.540 Or when you're at the ocean, 09:04.540 --> 09:06.880 and you're maybe at a rocky area. 09:07.100 --> 09:10.300 and you're hearing the waves hit the rocks, 09:10.300 --> 09:14.100 it's a very loud noise, or the sea when it's roaring, 09:14.100 --> 09:16.500 and it's very tempestuous, 09:16.500 --> 09:18.540 it's very loud also when it comes in. 09:18.540 --> 09:21.180 So, and so then it's saying great thunder. 09:21.180 --> 09:23.240 The other day we had a purr, 09:23.240 --> 09:25.380 like some of the loudest thunder I've heard 09:25.380 --> 09:26.980 since I've lived here, really. 09:26.980 --> 09:29.020 I know that I say that, 09:29.020 --> 09:30.260 I've said that a couple times this year 09:30.260 --> 09:31.960 about how bad thunderstorms have been, 09:31.960 --> 09:33.920 but really I don't, 09:35.100 --> 09:38.140 One hit so hard the other day, 09:38.140 --> 09:40.860 I saw the flash of lightning out, 09:40.860 --> 09:43.340 like I just saw it from the corner of my eye 09:43.340 --> 09:46.900 out my front window, but my blinds were closed. 09:46.900 --> 09:49.060 But I saw the flash and then like, 09:49.060 --> 09:50.740 it must have been really close because, 09:50.740 --> 09:53.500 have you ever heard that if you count the seconds. 09:53.500 --> 09:53.500 Yeah. 09:53.800 --> 09:57.100 between a flash of lightning and the sound of thunder, 09:57.100 --> 10:00.000 that's how many miles it is away from you or whatever. 10:00.000 --> 10:03.000 It's like if it's one second, it's one mile away or something. 10:03.000 --> 10:05.400 I don't know if that's necessarily true or not. 10:05.400 --> 10:07.400 I've never actually checked the formula, 10:07.400 --> 10:11.300 but I mean, that's what I've been told my whole life, 10:11.300 --> 10:13.800 and that's what I've just believed because whatever. 10:13.800 --> 10:14.700 I don't know. 10:14.700 --> 10:16.900 I'm sure it's somewhat accurate, but... 10:17.200 --> 10:23.140 But when I saw the flash of lightning, it was maybe a second and it was just this big 10:23.140 --> 10:28.100 boom, crash of thunder hit and it was super loud. 10:28.100 --> 10:32.000 My wife came running out of the bedroom, she was like, that sounded like it was right outside 10:32.000 --> 10:33.660 her bedroom window, but it wasn't. 10:33.660 --> 10:35.860 It was off in the distance somewhere. 10:35.860 --> 10:37.660 But it was just, that's how loud it was. 10:38.200 --> 10:45.540 And so that's just basically when the Bible says these types of things, it's not saying 10:45.540 --> 10:49.640 that it's thunder or it's not saying that it's water. 10:49.640 --> 10:54.360 It's helping us to understand how loud the voice is from heaven. 10:54.360 --> 10:59.100 And notice it says in the last part of that verse, it says, I heard the voice of harpers 10:59.100 --> 11:02.040 harping with their harps. 11:02.040 --> 11:03.680 Now who knows what a harp is? 11:04.000 --> 11:05.000 Right? Okay. 11:05.000 --> 11:09.500 And usually, the harps I've seen, like in real life, are really big. 11:09.500 --> 11:12.000 And you have to sit down to play them. 11:12.000 --> 11:16.000 And I mean, I don't know if they have smaller ones like on Sylvester and Tweety. 11:16.000 --> 11:18.500 They had the smaller ones that you could hold in your hand or whatever. 11:18.500 --> 11:20.000 But those are probably not real. 11:20.000 --> 11:22.500 So as a matter of fact, I know they're not real. 11:22.500 --> 11:26.000 But Sylvester is always pictured in heaven, you know, if he dies or whatever. 11:26.000 --> 11:29.000 He's on a cloud playing a harp or whatever. 11:30.500 --> 11:34.980 But that's kind of where they get that imagery is from, you know, books like the book Revelation. 11:34.980 --> 11:41.780 But notice that it doesn't say that they were drunk. What verse? 33:47.100 --> 33:52.100 Yeah, so he's saying, so somebody asks him a question and he's like, yeah, you already know. 33:52.100 --> 33:57.100 And then he tells them, these are they which came out of great tribulation, 33:57.100 --> 34:00.100 have washed their robes and have made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 34:00.100 --> 34:05.100 Therefore, are they before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple, 34:05.100 --> 34:08.100 and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 34:08.100 --> 34:10.600 So these are. 34:11.000 --> 34:16.520 So the great tribulation has already happened and the rapture has already happened because there's 34:16.520 --> 34:22.200 this great multitude that appears in heaven that no man can number of every tribe, nation, tongue, 34:22.200 --> 34:28.520 so on and so forth. This is the rapture. It has already happened. Look at verse 6, 35:41.000 --> 35:44.480 and I saw another angel, chapter 14 verse 6, 35:44.480 --> 35:49.520 I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven having the everlasting gospel 35:49.520 --> 35:52.600 to preach unto them that dwell on the earth 35:52.600 --> 35:56.120 and to every nation and kindred and tongue 35:56.120 --> 36:00.040 and people. So isn't that interesting that that matches with what 36:00.040 --> 36:03.280 chapter 7 is also talking about? Every nation, every... 36:03.280 --> 36:05.200 So, God cares. 36:05.200 --> 36:12.240 about everybody. He doesn't just, he cares about the Sub-Saharan Africans, he cares about Mexico, 36:12.240 --> 36:18.480 he cares about South America, he cares about the people near the North Pole, he cares about the 36:18.480 --> 36:24.880 Russians, he cares about every country that's represented on the face of the planet and every 36:24.880 --> 36:28.960 skin color, okay? That's what we see in chapter 8, chapter 9, 01:16:33.200 --> 01:16:39.760 chapter 10, and then chapter 11 is the showdown with the beast and the two witnesses.
