WEBVTT

10:00.100 --> 10:04.260
Good morning everyone and welcome to Steadfast Baptist Church.

10:04.260 --> 10:06.060
It's so great to see everybody here.

10:06.060 --> 10:11.500
If we could find our seats and find a hymnal, we will get started with this morning's singing.

10:14.800 --> 10:19.800
Wonderful to see everybody. If you can find your hymnal and find song number 413.

10:26.400 --> 10:30.160
Song number 413.

10:33.600 --> 10:38.100
You don't have to to sing it, but it's stand up, stand up for Jesus.

10:38.100 --> 10:40.880
Song number 413.

10:40.880 --> 10:43.440
Let's all sing that out together this morning.

10:43.440 --> 10:45.120
Song number 413.

10:45.120 --> 10:48.120
Stand up, stand up for Jesus.

10:48.120 --> 10:51.600
Stand up, stand up for Jesus.

12:38.000 --> 12:42.360
singing everybody let's open up the service now with a word of prayer. Lord

12:42.360 --> 12:44.880
we love you so much and we're just so grateful to have a great church to

12:44.880 --> 12:48.360

12:48.360 --> 12:51.440
God's people we just ask that you fill us all with your spirit and help us to

12:51.440 --> 12:56.920
sing out unto you this morning it's in Jesus name we pray amen. Alright for our

12:56.920 --> 12:59.700
next song let's go to song number 315

13:04.100 --> 13:09.100
Song number 315,

13:10.100 --> 13:13.100
Take My Life and Let It Be.

13:17.100 --> 13:19.100
Song number 315.

13:19.100 --> 13:22.100
Let's all sing that out together.

13:22.100 --> 13:25.100
Take my life and

15:30.700 --> 15:32.860
Good morning, thank you so much for coming to Steadfast Baptist Church.

15:32.860 --> 15:35.900
If you did not get a bulletin already and you'd like one, just let your hand nice and

15:35.900 --> 15:36.900
high.

15:36.900 --> 15:39.660
One of our ushers can come by and get you guys a bulletin.

15:39.660 --> 15:43.140
On the inside we have our service times and soul winning times.

15:43.140 --> 15:44.780
Below is our church stats.

15:44.780 --> 15:47.060
On the right is a list of several expecting ladies.

15:47.060 --> 15:48.500
Please be in prayer for them.

15:48.500 --> 15:53.660
We're getting close to our August service Sundays, so this is just a special offering.

15:53.660 --> 15:58.220
So if you come to all the services in the month of August, you can receive a $10 ice

15:58.700 --> 16:04.340
card per person. And so the only exception to missing is going to be if you're traveling

16:04.340 --> 16:08.300
for a church sponsored event or missions trip. And so if you are planning on doing that,

16:08.300 --> 16:13.300
just let us know. But we'll basically have a printout of everybody over here. And so

16:13.300 --> 16:19.300
you just sign the name for you. And that way we can make sure to tally. But if you come

16:19.300 --> 16:25.740
to all the services on Sunday, Sunday morning, Sunday evenings, and Wednesday night, you

16:25.740 --> 16:26.700
you can get.

16:26.700 --> 16:32.380
that special offering. Upcoming events we have a soul winning marathon on August 1st.

16:32.380 --> 16:37.100
Corsican and Texas Soul Winning Marathon. It's coming around the corner at the Massa Conference 2.0

16:37.100 --> 16:42.340
in Plainfield, Connecticut. Excited about this. So if you at least could just tune in.

16:42.340 --> 16:48.060
Also, even if you can't make it out there, teen summer events. We have one more.

16:48.060 --> 16:51.900
We had one last night. Thanks to all who participated. It was a lot of fun.

16:52.300 --> 16:57.300
And then also we had a Mexico City missions trip.

16:57.300 --> 16:59.300
Brother Diego is helping lead.

16:59.300 --> 17:02.100
And so if you have questions, you can ask him about that.

17:02.100 --> 17:06.740
Mesquite, Texas, soul hunting marathon, August 22nd, Barbados missions trip, September 7th

17:06.740 --> 17:08.140
through the 12th.

17:08.140 --> 17:11.980
September 20th, Pastor Matthew Stuckey is going to be preaching for us.

17:11.980 --> 17:15.940
Both services are going to be catering lunch that day, so I highly encourage you to come.

17:15.940 --> 17:18.420
It should be a great Sunday.

17:18.420 --> 17:22.980
Heritage Lord Conference, October 9th through 11th, Chili Cook Off, October 31st.

17:22.980 --> 17:27.220
There is a preaching boot camp in Arizona, if you'd like to attend November 12th through

17:27.220 --> 17:28.220
the 14th.

17:28.220 --> 17:30.100
Philippines missions trip.

17:30.100 --> 17:36.180
February of next year. On the back is a list of prayer requests if you'd please keep our church

17:36.180 --> 17:40.260
family in prayer. And that's pretty much all I have as far as announcements. Go ahead and sing

17:40.820 --> 17:45.860
our Psalm of the Week, Psalm 149. It's in our Psalm book, Psalm 149.

17:53.500 --> 17:54.200
Thank you.

18:00.900 --> 18:09.220
Alright that was Psalm 149. You can find it on page number 19 in your song books. Psalm 149.

18:10.340 --> 18:14.420
Those that know well, sing it out real loud this morning. Psalm 149.

18:17.300 --> 18:18.900
Raise me the...

20:32.300 --> 20:38.500
passed around, go and open your Bibles to the book of Ecclesiastes chapter number five.

20:38.500 --> 20:41.220
That's the book of Ecclesiastes chapter number five.

21:46.900 --> 21:48.580
Ecclesiastes 5 the Bible reads,

21:48.580 --> 21:51.140
Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God,

21:51.140 --> 21:55.020
And be more ready to hear than to give the sacrifice of fools,

21:55.020 --> 21:57.300
For they consider not that they do evil.

21:57.300 --> 21:58.980
Be not rash with thy mouth,

21:58.980 --> 22:02.980
And let not thine heart be hasty to utter anything before God.

22:02.980 --> 22:05.300
For God is in heaven and thou upon earth.

22:05.300 --> 22:07.700
Therefore let thy words be few.

22:07.700 --> 22:10.180
For a dream cometh through the multitude of business,

22:10.180 --> 22:13.420
And a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.

22:13.420 --> 22:14.860
when thou vowest of vales.

22:14.900 --> 22:19.260
unto God, defer not to pay it, for he hath no pleasure in fools.

22:19.260 --> 22:21.260
Pay that which thou hast vowed.

22:21.260 --> 22:26.100
Better is it that thou shouldest not vow than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.

22:26.100 --> 22:28.380
Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin.

22:28.380 --> 22:31.420
Neither say thou before the angel that it was an error.

22:31.420 --> 22:35.840
Wherefore should God be angry at thy voice and destroy the work of thine hands?

22:35.840 --> 22:40.440
For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also diverse vanities.

22:40.440 --> 22:41.820
But fear thou God.

22:42.300 --> 22:47.860
If thou seest the oppression of the poor and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province,

22:47.860 --> 22:53.820
marvel not at the matter, for he that is higher than the highest regardeth, and there be higher than they.

22:53.820 --> 23:00.060
Moreover, the profit of the earth is for all. The king himself is served by the field.

23:00.060 --> 23:07.020
He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver, nor he that loveth abundance with increase.

23:07.020 --> 23:08.540
This is also vanity.

23:08.800 --> 23:16.800
When goods increase, they are increased that eat them, and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes.

23:16.800 --> 23:23.800
The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much, but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.

23:24.100 --> 23:30.100
There was a sore evil which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt.

23:30.100 --> 23:38.100
But those riches perish by evil travail, and he begetteth a son, and there is nothing in his hand.

23:38.100 --> 23:42.100
As he came forth of his mother's womb, naked shall he return to go as he came,

23:42.100 --> 23:46.900
and shall take nothing of his labor which he may carry away in his hand.

23:47.100 --> 23:52.140
And this also was a sore evil, that in all points as he came, so shall he go, and what

23:52.140 --> 23:55.740
profit hath he that hath laboured for the win?

23:55.740 --> 24:00.780
All his days also he eateth in darkness, and he hath much sorrow and wrath with his sickness.

24:00.780 --> 24:02.660
Behold that which I have seen.

24:02.660 --> 24:07.100
It is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour,

24:07.100 --> 24:11.780
that he taketh unto the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth them, for it is

24:11.780 --> 24:12.580
his portion.

24:12.900 --> 24:19.220
Every man also to whom God hath given riches and wealth and hath given him power to eat thereof and to take his portion

24:19.380 --> 24:21.080
And to rejoice in his labor

24:21.080 --> 24:26.460
This is the gift of God for he shall not much remember the days of his life because God

24:26.900 --> 24:29.360
Answer with him in the joy of his heart

24:29.940 --> 24:31.940
Let's bow our heads for a word of prayer

24:32.900 --> 24:36.780
Father God, we ask, Lord, that you bless the sermon this morning and fill Pastor Shelly

24:36.780 --> 24:37.860
with your spirit.

24:37.860 --> 24:41.720
Help him to preach the message you've laid on his heart with clarity of mind and give

24:41.720 --> 24:46.940
us ears to hear and help us to make changes accordingly so that we can serve you better.

24:46.940 --> 24:49.460
I ask for these things in the name of Jesus Christ.

24:49.460 --> 24:50.460
Amen.

24:50.460 --> 24:51.460
Amen.

24:51.460 --> 24:53.020
I want to look here again at verse 2.

24:53.020 --> 24:56.460
The Bible says, be not rash with thy mouth.

24:56.600 --> 25:01.400
and let not thine heart be hasty to utter anything before God.

25:01.400 --> 25:06.680
For God is in heaven and thou upon earth therefore let thy words be few."

25:06.680 --> 25:12.280
And this is really the one application I'm going to make this morning is just that we should be

25:12.280 --> 25:17.720
careful what we say and we should really think about the words that we're going to say because

25:17.720 --> 25:23.480
there's many sins of the mouth. And that's the title of my sermon this morning is Sins of the Mouth.

25:24.000 --> 25:26.600
Now, what's crazy about the sermon is...

25:27.100 --> 25:31.900
Every time I've thought about this sermon, just more thoughts come into my mind or more verses,

25:31.900 --> 25:37.660
because I think that this subject is so broad and there's so many sins that it would be impossible

25:37.660 --> 25:44.860
or difficult to in one sermon truly cover every possible scenario. But I'm going to do my best to

25:44.860 --> 25:50.300
just give some big categories that I feel like, you know, we can kind of find the essence of

25:50.300 --> 25:54.940
the sins of the mouth. And I'm going to, for the most part, just list lots of sins of the mouth.

25:55.100 --> 25:56.500
We're not going to really talk about them.

25:56.500 --> 25:58.100
We're not going to go deep diving.

25:58.100 --> 26:01.700
There's only a handful that I really want to talk about this morning in detail, but

26:01.700 --> 26:05.380
we're going to spend the rest of our time this morning talking about how bad the mouth

26:05.380 --> 26:09.540
is just so you're reminded of, hey, we should be careful of the words that we choose to

26:09.540 --> 26:13.500
use and that we shouldn't just say everything that comes to mind.

26:13.500 --> 26:16.460
You know, some people are more shy or timid.

26:16.900 --> 26:24.400
And it's not really about a personality thing, but that can sometimes lend itself to this idea of being more careful with your words, and that's a good thing.

26:24.600 --> 26:30.080
Whereas some of us that are a little bit more sociable or we like to talk a little bit more

26:30.200 --> 26:32.480
We should take this you know very seriously

26:33.160 --> 26:39.500
Because it's very easy to sin with the mouth is what the Bible teaches now go if you would to Proverbs chapter 10 Proverbs

26:39.500 --> 26:42.800
Chapter 10 go backwards, and we're gonna look at a few Proverbs as well

26:43.040 --> 26:48.600
But notice that the Bible says therefore let thy words be few there's nothing wrong with not talking

26:49.600 --> 26:51.600
There's nothing wrong with not

26:52.200 --> 26:56.600
being someone that's constantly uttering all of their mind.

26:56.600 --> 26:59.000
And the Bible just brings up so many verses on this,

26:59.000 --> 27:02.000
but look at Proverbs 10 verse 19.

27:02.000 --> 27:04.100
In the multitude of words,

27:04.100 --> 27:06.700
there wanteth not sin,

27:06.700 --> 27:09.700
but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

27:09.700 --> 27:13.900
Now the word wanteth in this context is just meaning like,

27:13.900 --> 27:16.500
hey, there's not a shortage.

27:16.500 --> 27:17.600
You're not going to be,

27:17.600 --> 27:20.100
and want means that there's a lack of something.

27:20.300 --> 27:25.500
So by saying, wanteth not, meaning that there's no lack of.

27:25.500 --> 27:29.500
Because you know what, the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

27:29.500 --> 27:34.500
When we think of that word want, we're saying like, hey, I'm not lacking of anything.

27:34.500 --> 27:41.300
So here it's saying, if you have enough text, if you have enough dialogue, if you have enough words,

27:41.300 --> 27:43.800
you're not going to be lacking what?

27:44.200 --> 27:45.200
It says sin.

27:45.200 --> 27:50.280
And so it's just basically saying like, hey, if someone just talked a lot or said a lot

27:50.280 --> 27:53.580
of things, there's a lot of stuff to look at or analyze.

27:53.580 --> 27:57.360
You could probably start pointing out a lot of sin is what the point is.

27:57.360 --> 28:02.640
Just saying in the multitude of words, there wanteth not sin.

28:02.640 --> 28:05.720
Notice this, but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

28:05.720 --> 28:07.280
So we should be very careful.

28:07.600 --> 28:12.720
just uttering all our mind and just saying lots of different things because the chance is

28:12.720 --> 28:18.480
we're going to be sinning often. Go if you would to chapter 11 verse 12 just right on the same page

28:18.480 --> 28:24.320
probably. He that is void of wisdom despises his neighbor but a man of understanding, notice this,

28:25.040 --> 28:32.560
holdeth his peace. Now this is a really interesting proverb. Think, think, let's think about it for a

28:32.560 --> 28:35.600
moment. He that is void of wisdom.

28:35.800 --> 28:37.800
So this is a smart person.

28:37.800 --> 28:39.800
No, this is a foolish person.

28:39.800 --> 28:41.800
This is a dumb person.

28:41.800 --> 28:43.800
This is a person that lacks understanding,

28:43.800 --> 28:45.800
lacks wisdom.

28:45.800 --> 28:47.800
He just despises his neighbor.

28:47.800 --> 28:49.800
Meaning that if you want

28:49.800 --> 28:51.800
to criticize people,

28:51.800 --> 28:53.800
you have more than you

28:53.800 --> 28:55.800
could ever wish to criticize them.

28:56.600 --> 29:00.840
He's saying, hey, you're just despising, you're just being mad at people.

29:00.840 --> 29:04.680
If you want to be mad at people, you could do it all day long.

29:04.680 --> 29:07.480
But then the Bible's saying you're stupid for doing that.

29:08.280 --> 29:10.920
The right thing to do is what? To just hold your peace.

29:11.960 --> 29:15.720
It's just so silly to sit here and just criticize people all the time.

29:15.720 --> 29:18.840
And look, criticizing people could be legitimate.

29:19.500 --> 29:25.820
But the problem is you just don't realize how sinful you are, how many mistakes you make.

29:25.820 --> 29:31.420
If we just all went around and just criticized everybody for every little thing that they do all

29:31.420 --> 29:36.460
day long, well, we would just be insufferable to live with. We'd be insufferable to be around

29:36.460 --> 29:43.580
if we're just nagging and complaining and just criticizing people for every little thing and

29:43.580 --> 29:47.420
every little imperfection and every problem that they have. The Bible says

29:47.500 --> 29:53.180
says that you're a fool to sit here and just criticize people and bring up every problem

29:53.180 --> 29:59.420
and every issue and every mistake. It's just so annoying. He's just saying, hey, why don't

29:59.420 --> 30:04.380
you just hold your peace? Why don't you just not worry about it? And look, that's if it

30:04.380 --> 30:10.280
was legitimate criticism, let alone all the illegitimate criticisms because people are

30:10.280 --> 30:14.120
constantly criticizing people, not even understanding.

30:14.400 --> 30:21.320
What they're saying they don't understand the context they don't understand the motivations. They don't understand the complexities

30:21.360 --> 30:24.020
They don't understand what's going on in the situation

30:24.020 --> 30:30.000
But they just want to sit here and criticize and complain and make just all kinds of just annoying

30:30.960 --> 30:33.040
statements and just like just stop

30:33.920 --> 30:37.560
Why don't you just watch you spend all your effort energy criticizing yourself?

30:38.940 --> 30:39.800
Okay

30:40.300 --> 30:44.300
He that is void of wisdom, notice this, despises his neighbor.

30:44.300 --> 30:48.800
He's constantly mad at other people and picking everybody else apart

30:48.800 --> 30:51.300
and mad at everything everybody else is doing.

30:51.300 --> 30:54.300
But what does the Bible say, but a man of understanding, notice this,

30:54.300 --> 30:55.800
hold it to his piece. Isn't it funny?

30:55.800 --> 30:59.800
The guy that knows a ton doesn't criticize you.

30:59.800 --> 31:03.300
The person that doesn't know anything, constantly criticizing you.

31:04.200 --> 31:07.400
constantly making accusations against you,

31:07.400 --> 31:08.400
bringing up stuff.

31:08.400 --> 31:11.000
This is again, this is just a huge sin

31:11.000 --> 31:13.700
where people will just constantly just be

31:13.700 --> 31:16.600
attacking other people, criticizing other people,

31:16.600 --> 31:19.600
hating other people, mad at everything everybody else is doing

31:19.600 --> 31:22.600
rather than just simply holding their peace and just moving on.

31:22.600 --> 31:26.800
Look, you don't think that God has enough to work with against us.

31:26.800 --> 31:31.100
But isn't it nice that God is holding his peace about us on a regular basis?

31:31.500 --> 31:37.500
I think that God could have a pretty big laundry list of criticisms for us if he really wanted it.

31:37.500 --> 31:41.980
But praise God, he's not just badgering us with criticisms.

31:41.980 --> 31:47.660
He's not just constantly browbeating us and annoying us and just over the top

31:47.660 --> 31:53.580
and just crushing our spirit, crushing our ideas, crushing our...

31:54.200 --> 31:56.000
or validity as a person.

31:56.000 --> 31:58.000
I mean, look, if you just went to the workplace

31:58.000 --> 31:59.720
and your boss, just every other sentence is,

31:59.720 --> 32:02.600
you're an idiot, you're a fool, you're stupid, you're dumb.

32:02.600 --> 32:03.560
How did you do that?

32:03.560 --> 32:04.960
I can't believe you did that right.

32:04.960 --> 32:05.920
Hey, get over here.

32:05.920 --> 32:08.200
And there's micromanaging every little thing

32:08.200 --> 32:10.300
you're doing at the job.

32:10.300 --> 32:13.000
Just micromanaging every little task.

32:13.000 --> 32:14.480
Just like, hey, why didn't you go over here?

32:14.480 --> 32:15.720
Why didn't you run over here?

32:15.720 --> 32:17.700
It would just drive you insane.

32:17.700 --> 32:19.400
It would drive you insane.

32:19.400 --> 32:20.980
And you know who would pass that test?

32:20.980 --> 32:21.980
No one.

32:22.100 --> 32:28.340
Because no one can survive constant scrutiny, constant complaining, constant ridicule,

32:28.340 --> 32:31.300
constant just bringing this stuff up. And so you should just stop.

32:32.900 --> 32:38.980
The person that's smart will just not be constantly criticizing and constantly attacking

32:38.980 --> 32:45.540
and constantly despising and constantly mad. You know, the Bible says that anger rests in the

32:45.540 --> 32:46.500
bosom of fools.

32:48.100 --> 32:51.860
There's some people that are just mad all day, every day,

32:51.860 --> 32:53.260
and they're just mad at everyone,

32:53.260 --> 32:55.100
and mad at every life situation,

32:55.100 --> 32:57.020
and they're just so frustrated,

32:57.020 --> 32:58.740
yet they don't want to work on themselves,

32:58.740 --> 33:00.740
they just want to criticize everybody else.

33:00.740 --> 33:04.620
And their world is bad because everybody else is bad.

33:04.620 --> 33:08.860
It's just, it's just, it's a wasted life,

33:08.860 --> 33:10.180
just being mad at everybody all the time.

33:10.180 --> 33:11.420
Go to Proverbs chapter 17,

33:11.420 --> 33:13.380
go to Proverbs chapter 17 verse 28.

33:15.800 --> 33:18.800
Look at verse 28.

33:18.800 --> 33:19.640
What does the Bible say?

33:19.640 --> 33:25.320
Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise.

33:25.320 --> 33:30.000
And he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.

33:30.000 --> 33:34.880
I mean, how many bioverses do I have to show you before we just say, all right,

33:34.880 --> 33:35.680
case in point?

33:36.100 --> 33:39.200
But we're going to we're going to like talk about some sins in the mouth here.

33:39.200 --> 33:42.540
OK, I'm just trying to show you this is we already learned the great truth.

33:42.540 --> 33:44.280
What's the great truth of the Bible?

33:44.280 --> 33:47.880
Sometimes you need to just shut up.

33:47.880 --> 33:50.920
Shut your stupid mouth.

33:50.920 --> 33:55.080
And man, just we need so many people to just shut up.

33:55.660 --> 34:01.420
Quit talking, quit criticizing, quit bringing up whatever you think.

34:01.800 --> 34:03.560
Well, I think I don't care.

34:04.400 --> 34:06.400
It's probably stupid.

34:06.400 --> 34:08.400
It's probably wrong.

34:08.400 --> 34:10.400
You know, everybody just wants to

34:10.400 --> 34:12.400
commentate on everything

34:12.400 --> 34:14.400
and share their opinion on everything.

34:14.400 --> 34:16.400
And look, there are

34:16.400 --> 34:18.400
some people in this world that we should be

34:18.400 --> 34:20.400
listening to on a regular basis.

34:20.400 --> 34:22.100
The wise people of this world.

34:22.200 --> 34:27.200
But you know, unfortunately, we just have just a lot of fools commentating on everything,

34:27.200 --> 34:33.700
and we have a lot of idiots and grifters and just bad people commentating on everything,

34:33.700 --> 34:35.700
and it's frustrating.

34:35.700 --> 34:39.200
We need people like Job to get up and be commentating on everything.

34:39.200 --> 34:42.200
You know, it used to be that people would care what Job had to say,

34:42.200 --> 34:43.700
and they would listen to what Job had to say.

34:43.700 --> 34:47.200
You know, wise people will hear. A wise man will hear is what the Bible says.

34:47.600 --> 34:49.800
And, you know, going to church is a good thing.

34:49.800 --> 34:52.200
Oh, we should all be preaching.

34:52.200 --> 34:53.500
We should all teach.

34:53.500 --> 34:58.000
It's like, no, maybe we should just get like one guy to, you know, get up and teach the Bible, right?

34:58.000 --> 35:01.100
And we should just listen to him and pay attention to him.

35:01.100 --> 35:04.500
And even then, it's not always great. It's not always right.

35:05.200 --> 35:07.920
But let alone if we just let everybody talk.

35:07.920 --> 35:09.240
And look, I've been in this situation.

35:09.240 --> 35:10.760
It's called life groups.

35:10.760 --> 35:13.000
It's called cell groups at the non-denominational church

35:13.000 --> 35:14.600
where everybody gets to talk

35:14.600 --> 35:16.520
and everybody gets to exert their opinion.

35:16.520 --> 35:18.740
And you know what I found in those meetings?

35:18.740 --> 35:21.640
I just had less respect for everybody after I walked away.

35:21.640 --> 35:22.480
I just like, wow,

35:22.480 --> 35:24.400
I actually kind of thought you were smart.

35:24.500 --> 35:26.900
And then I realized you're an idiot.

35:26.900 --> 35:29.300
I realized you're a really big fool.

35:29.300 --> 35:30.300
But what does the Bible say?

35:30.300 --> 35:33.500
Even a fool, when he holdeth his pieces count of wise,

35:33.500 --> 35:34.500
there's some people in this world

35:34.500 --> 35:36.700
you kind of just think are smart.

35:36.700 --> 35:37.700
And then they open their mouth

35:37.700 --> 35:39.500
and they just prove beyond a shadow of a doubt

35:39.500 --> 35:42.100
that they're not, okay?

35:42.100 --> 35:44.800
You know, probably the biggest example of this

35:44.800 --> 35:46.400
I've ever seen in my entire life

35:46.400 --> 35:48.900
is a guy named Salvador Alvarez, okay?

35:50.600 --> 35:54.600
The guy is just, I mean, he's like a vault when you're around him.

35:54.600 --> 35:58.200
I mean, just never talking, very quiet.

35:58.200 --> 36:00.000
And you just kind of like, what does the Bible say?

36:00.000 --> 36:02.200
Even a fool, when he holds his piece, is kind of like,

36:02.200 --> 36:04.800
like, everybody's just kind of like, man, this guy must be smart.

36:04.800 --> 36:06.000
You know, this guy must be why.

36:06.000 --> 36:08.600
Everybody's just like, yeah, I mean, look, I mean, he's just...

36:08.600 --> 36:10.000
And isn't it funny?

36:10.000 --> 36:13.500
It's like people are considered smart for not talking.

36:13.500 --> 36:15.600
That doesn't even prove anything, honestly.

36:15.900 --> 36:17.500
But it's just how we perceive things.

36:17.500 --> 36:21.400
It's just we kind of like assume this guy must be actually pretty smart.

36:21.400 --> 36:23.100
This guy's pretty wise.

36:23.100 --> 36:28.900
But then every time this guy opens his mouth, he just proves beyond a shadow of a doubt he's a retard.

36:28.900 --> 36:32.900
He's, I mean, he has the worst takes every single time.

36:34.600 --> 36:36.600
And he proves he's incapable of learning.

36:36.600 --> 36:39.240
He's incapable of actually taking correction.

36:39.240 --> 36:43.120
It's one of the most prideful, arrogant punks I've ever seen.

36:43.120 --> 36:47.920
And it just, it baffles me how I would even get, you know, confused by somebody like this,

36:47.920 --> 36:49.280
or tricked by someone like this.

36:49.280 --> 36:53.720
But the Bible's saying, fools can trick us if they would just shut up.

36:53.720 --> 36:57.360
And it's funny, because usually an infiltrator, they always kind of have the same marks.

36:57.360 --> 36:58.840
They were like really quiet.

36:59.500 --> 37:03.020
And then it's like once they start opening their mouth they can't control themselves.

37:03.020 --> 37:07.820
You're just like wow I just I kind of thought you were different when you were when you were quiet.

37:07.820 --> 37:12.540
Okay now that you're talking like and this is the thing when you hear someone talk a lot

37:12.540 --> 37:18.140
they can't really hide who they are. You know what someone's like when you have a lot to work with.

37:18.140 --> 37:19.340
Okay.

37:20.000 --> 37:22.200
I, it's pretty hard for me to hide who I am.

37:22.200 --> 37:24.480
You kind of know who I am at this point, all right?

37:24.480 --> 37:26.360
You kind of, you kind of get what you see.

37:26.360 --> 37:28.000
But at the end of the day,

37:28.000 --> 37:29.960
you know, someone that you haven't heard speak a lot

37:29.960 --> 37:31.520
or you haven't heard talk a lot,

37:31.520 --> 37:34.280
sometimes you can, you know, be misled.

37:34.280 --> 37:35.600
You know, maybe that's a good idea

37:35.600 --> 37:37.000
if you're dating someone.

37:37.400 --> 37:39.400
to have a lot of conversations.

37:39.400 --> 37:41.720
Because the more conversations you have with someone

37:41.720 --> 37:43.520
when you're dating, it's just probably gonna give you

37:43.520 --> 37:47.840
a better idea of what they're like or who they are,

37:47.840 --> 37:49.800
what they think about things.

37:49.800 --> 37:53.240
I know me and my wife, we had lots of conversations dating.

37:53.240 --> 37:55.120
We talked about pretty much everything.

37:55.120 --> 37:59.560
We talked about kids and church and religion and salvation

37:59.560 --> 38:01.560
and just all kinds of different subjects.

38:01.560 --> 38:03.080
So, you know, when we get married,

38:03.080 --> 38:05.400
we're not like really surprised.

38:05.400 --> 38:07.160
by our personal opinions.

38:07.160 --> 38:10.120
We're not really surprised about our life decisions

38:10.120 --> 38:12.000
because we've already had those conversations.

38:12.000 --> 38:13.840
We've already talked about them.

38:13.840 --> 38:15.720
We've already kind of figured out

38:15.720 --> 38:17.280
where we settle on those issues.

38:17.280 --> 38:19.400
And so my advice would be heavily

38:19.400 --> 38:22.360
that in the dating phase, you talk to each other a lot.

38:22.360 --> 38:25.800
And not just like vain stuff, like you're so cute.

38:26.600 --> 38:29.200
You know, hey, you can put that in there if you want,

38:29.200 --> 38:32.080
but you know, maybe have some like real conversations.

38:32.080 --> 38:34.760
Now I'm not saying on the first date,

38:34.760 --> 38:36.520
in the first moments, you're like,

38:36.520 --> 38:38.520
what do you think about Jews and reprobates?

38:38.520 --> 38:39.640
Okay?

38:39.640 --> 38:41.640
Maybe that's a little over the top.

38:41.640 --> 38:42.960
But look, if she's just like,

38:42.960 --> 38:44.240
wow, this is my favorite subject,

38:44.240 --> 38:45.400
just get married, okay?

38:45.400 --> 38:48.360
You don't even have to worry at that point.

38:48.360 --> 38:50.480
I mean, you've already locked it in, okay?

38:52.120 --> 38:52.700
But.

38:52.900 --> 38:56.100
At the end of the day, you know, conversation tells us who you are.

38:57.220 --> 38:59.540
And, you know, if you want to be a wise person,

38:59.980 --> 39:03.780
you need to talk less and you need to insert your opinion less.

39:04.060 --> 39:06.540
OK, you know, give your opinion when it's asked for.

39:07.380 --> 39:10.140
Unsolicited advice is just irritating to everyone.

39:10.700 --> 39:15.140
And you know, pastor Jack Hiles, he would often say,

39:15.140 --> 39:16.740
and a lot of these pastors would often say,

39:16.740 --> 39:18.980
you should never give unsolicited advice.

39:18.980 --> 39:23.020
And he would say this to pastors for their congregation.

39:23.020 --> 39:24.020
So think about this.

39:24.020 --> 39:26.100
Like a pastor has some level of authority

39:26.100 --> 39:27.660
over the congregation, and he's saying,

39:27.660 --> 39:29.540
I don't think you should be giving unsolicited advice

39:29.540 --> 39:31.500
to people in their personal lives and stuff.

39:31.500 --> 39:32.340
We're not talking about preaching.

39:32.340 --> 39:34.420
We're just talking about unsolicited advice

39:34.420 --> 39:36.460
to people in their lives that you should just

39:36.460 --> 39:37.620
refrain from that.

39:37.900 --> 39:42.540
then how much more all of us in other contexts, right?

39:42.540 --> 39:47.660
How much more should children not give unsolicited advice to their parents?

39:47.660 --> 39:53.580
How much should single guys not give advice on marriage and child rearing?

39:53.580 --> 39:57.340
How much should people that don't have kids to parents?

39:57.700 --> 40:02.100
I mean, there's a lot of people that would love to commentate on your parenting when they don't have it.

40:02.100 --> 40:06.860
Or employers to their boss when they don't own a company.

40:06.860 --> 40:08.960
I mean, it's just like infinite scenarios.

40:08.960 --> 40:13.100
Or, you know, maybe a wife to her husband, he didn't ask, honey.

40:13.100 --> 40:15.900
So don't worry about it.

40:15.900 --> 40:21.900
It's just so frustrating how people just want to offer all this unsolicited advice and just all this information,

40:21.900 --> 40:24.800
instead of just shutting up. Just shut up.

40:26.000 --> 40:28.240
So the Bible teaches.

40:28.240 --> 40:29.240
Shut your lips.

40:29.240 --> 40:32.460
I mean, I could just go to verses after verses.

40:32.460 --> 40:33.720
I proved the point.

40:33.720 --> 40:35.280
So let's talk about sins of the mouth now.

40:35.280 --> 40:37.960
Now again, I'm just going to give you just high level.

40:37.960 --> 40:40.600
We're not even going to go to verses right this second.

40:40.600 --> 40:43.280
If you would, why don't you just go to Acts chapter 20.

40:43.280 --> 40:44.680
We're going to go to Acts 20 here in a minute.

40:44.680 --> 40:46.860
But I'm just going to list some sins.

40:46.860 --> 40:50.200
Now the first category of sins we're not going to deal with.

40:50.300 --> 40:53.900
this morning because I don't think it's even that needful.

40:53.900 --> 41:00.620
We pretty much just all agree anyways, but it would be a category of sinful or perverted things

41:00.620 --> 41:08.220
that you say. So just saying outright sinful things or perverted things is obviously sin.

41:08.220 --> 41:13.340
Okay, what is one of the biggest examples of this? Pride. Just saying prideful things is a sin.

41:13.800 --> 41:15.140
being proud.

41:15.140 --> 41:17.640
And the Bible just constantly condemns this.

41:17.640 --> 41:18.640
You know, the Bible says,

41:18.640 --> 41:21.480
let another man praise thee and not thine own lips.

41:21.480 --> 41:23.900
You should just never be complimenting yourself,

41:23.900 --> 41:27.100
praising yourself, lifting yourself up.

41:27.100 --> 41:29.700
Like, this is just not something that we should be doing.

41:29.700 --> 41:31.600
And this is what prideful people do.

41:31.600 --> 41:33.500
I'm the greatest.

41:33.500 --> 41:35.000
I'm the best.

41:35.000 --> 41:36.340
I'm terrific.

41:36.340 --> 41:38.600
Every time he says that, it's a sin.

41:39.300 --> 41:41.060
But he's just prideful.

41:41.060 --> 41:46.140
I mean, Donald Trump can almost not go without sinning by speaking.

41:46.140 --> 41:50.620
I don't even know if the guy has made any speech where he's not sinning, because every

41:50.620 --> 41:54.020
single speech is filled with pride.

41:54.020 --> 41:56.420
And the Bible says this is an abomination to God.

41:57.200 --> 42:03.200
Just the look itself is an abomination to God, let alone the statements themselves.

42:03.200 --> 42:07.700
And the constant boasting and the constant praise of himself.

42:07.700 --> 42:10.700
And he's just the greatest, repeatedly.

42:10.700 --> 42:15.700
And look, I get that some of it's hyperbole, and I'm not fully against hyperbole.

42:15.700 --> 42:20.200
But let's just be honest, Donald Trump is a bad example of how to communicate.

42:21.100 --> 42:23.260
People will say, oh, he's such a gifted communicator.

42:23.260 --> 42:25.500
Well, he's a very sinful communicator.

42:25.500 --> 42:27.660
And let me tell you something, he is not a good communicator,

42:27.660 --> 42:29.980
because almost everything that comes out of that man's mouth

42:29.980 --> 42:35.100
is a prideful, boastful statement that should never be said by anyone.

42:36.200 --> 42:40.520
And you know, it's a bad attitude, and we should have a humble attitude, and we shouldn't

42:40.520 --> 42:43.720
be praising ourselves and lifting ourselves up.

42:43.720 --> 42:48.400
And we used to have leaders and men in this country that would not praise themselves,

42:48.400 --> 42:51.960
that would not boast of their accomplishments, and actually had a humble view of themselves.

42:51.960 --> 42:57.280
And you know, it's a shame and embarrassment that we live in a country that idolizes and

42:57.280 --> 43:01.000
worships men that boast and pride themselves of everything they do.

43:02.100 --> 43:06.100
It's disgusting. It's a disgusting attitude. It's an unchristian attitude.

43:06.100 --> 43:10.100
Here's another one. Envy. You saying anything to envy people.

43:10.500 --> 43:16.000
perverseness of any kind, lewdness of any kind, just abominations.

43:16.000 --> 43:20.000
There's all kinds of abominable things that people say repeatedly.

43:20.000 --> 43:27.000
I mean, just rap music in general, everything the sodomite community is saying is despicable and wicked,

43:27.000 --> 43:34.500
things which ought not be spoken or said or described or talked about, you know, just horrific, awful.

43:34.600 --> 43:37.000
undescribable, unimaginable things.

43:37.000 --> 43:39.400
Here's another one, murmuring and complaining.

43:40.500 --> 43:42.100
Often I think you forget,

43:42.100 --> 43:46.400
God got so mad at people murmuring and complaining,

43:46.400 --> 43:48.900
that He punished them grievously.

43:49.800 --> 43:52.100
And the Bible says that God hated it.

43:52.100 --> 43:53.800
God hates the murmuring.

43:53.800 --> 43:57.700
God sent snakes to kill you for murmuring.

43:59.100 --> 44:02.300
I mean like, I thought that women hated snakes.

44:02.900 --> 44:06.180
It's not snakes on a plane, it's snakes wherever you're at.

44:06.180 --> 44:08.220
It's like, hey, you want some snakes in your life?

44:08.220 --> 44:11.540
Complain and murmur, and God could send fiery serpents

44:11.540 --> 44:16.460
to come in and kill you for just complaining and murmuring.

44:16.460 --> 44:18.300
And look, they were murmuring, complaining,

44:18.300 --> 44:21.340
walking through a wilderness.

44:21.340 --> 44:23.460
How much AC do you think they had?

44:25.800 --> 44:28.360
How do you think the accommodations were?

44:29.400 --> 44:31.400
Oh, well, we didn't have the nicest car.

44:31.400 --> 44:33.400
How nice a car do you think they had?

44:34.000 --> 44:36.800
I mean, at best, what, a Camel or something?

44:36.800 --> 44:38.400
I mean, like, I...

44:39.000 --> 44:45.920
Look, God hates complaining, God hates murmuring, and it's just so frustrating when you're around

44:45.920 --> 44:51.240
someone that's just constantly murmuring and constantly complaining, constantly talking

44:51.240 --> 44:54.440
under their breath and just mad about everything.

44:54.440 --> 44:57.960
The Bible says this is an ungodly attitude.

44:57.960 --> 44:59.220
It's a sin.

44:59.220 --> 45:01.640
Every time you're murmuring, it's a sinning.

45:01.640 --> 45:03.440
Every time you're complaining, it's sinning.

45:04.500 --> 45:07.260
But people don't care, they just do it all day long, don't they?

45:07.260 --> 45:08.260
No.

45:08.260 --> 45:11.580
Flattery. Flattery is another sin.

45:11.580 --> 45:15.100
Where you say something insincere to compliment someone.

45:15.100 --> 45:16.780
Foolish talking.

45:16.780 --> 45:19.900
I would categorize this as saying something stupid.

45:19.900 --> 45:22.580
So every documentary on the flat earth is a sin.

45:22.580 --> 45:28.500
Just talking about it in any way other than contempt and ridicule is a sin.

45:29.400 --> 45:38.160
jesting. So this would be, you know, just some kind of a making a joke, but it's not

45:38.160 --> 45:42.780
saying like making jokes that are sinful, but it's just basically like an inappropriate

45:42.780 --> 45:51.860
joke or some kind of like making something serious like a joke, just not taking it seriously

45:51.860 --> 45:54.820
enough, just kind of like...

45:55.700 --> 45:58.820
taking something and profaning it by jesting about it.

45:58.820 --> 46:00.900
You know, the fools make a mock at sin.

46:00.900 --> 46:02.500
It's kind of like what the Bible says.

46:02.500 --> 46:04.460
So I would put this in the category of jesting,

46:04.460 --> 46:07.020
where people are basically just making fun of things

46:07.020 --> 46:08.700
that shouldn't be made fun of,

46:08.700 --> 46:11.720
that are inappropriate, don't really fit.

46:11.720 --> 46:14.000
You know, making fun of your boss at work

46:14.000 --> 46:16.060
just to make fun of him isn't cool.

46:16.300 --> 46:20.140
You know, making fun of people when there's nothing they can do about it.

46:20.140 --> 46:22.300
You know, just making fun of someone because they're blind.

46:22.300 --> 46:23.500
Not cool.

46:23.500 --> 46:26.140
Making fun of someone because they're deaf, because they're deaf.

46:26.140 --> 46:27.340
Not cool.

46:27.340 --> 46:32.140
OK, just constantly making like what if someone were making fun of church

46:32.140 --> 46:37.580
or or their pastor or whatever, you know, the Bible or the things of God?

46:37.580 --> 46:39.980
Like, that's not cool. Like, I don't want jokes.

46:40.400 --> 46:43.200
that are making light of the God of the Bible,

46:43.200 --> 46:46.000
or putting down the Bible, or putting down Christians.

46:46.000 --> 46:48.200
You know, that crosses the line,

46:48.200 --> 46:50.200
and we shouldn't be jesting about those kind of things.

46:50.200 --> 46:54.000
We shouldn't be a jester, okay?

46:54.000 --> 46:59.400
Whispering, backbiting, making an oath and breaking it.

46:59.400 --> 47:02.200
So if you make a promise, if you make a vow and you don't do it,

47:02.200 --> 47:03.200
it's a sin.

47:03.200 --> 47:05.600
Idle words, sin.

47:05.600 --> 47:06.500
I mean, just...

47:07.100 --> 47:10.940
I already feel convicted just on this list alone.

47:10.940 --> 47:12.220
But it's going to get, there's a lot more.

47:12.220 --> 47:14.860
I mean, there's so much that you could do

47:14.860 --> 47:16.780
with your mouth that's a sin.

47:16.780 --> 47:19.260
And the Bible, I mean, describes the tongue

47:19.260 --> 47:21.180
as like an unruly member.

47:21.820 --> 47:23.980
It's just something that can't even be tamed

47:23.980 --> 47:25.340
because it's just so difficult.

47:25.340 --> 47:27.100
That's why it's like, you should probably just shut up

47:28.220 --> 47:31.340
because using it is just so difficult.

47:31.900 --> 47:35.300
in the sense of like not sinning because there's just so many opportunities for sin

47:35.300 --> 47:38.460
and the world is sinning through their tongue so much

47:38.460 --> 47:41.940
so often it's just a regular basis

47:41.940 --> 47:46.900
alright now I want to move to a different category okay so we talked about just things

47:46.900 --> 47:47.580
if you're

47:47.580 --> 47:51.500
obviously talking about sin or just outright sinning through your mouth or talking about

47:51.500 --> 47:52.420
perverted things like

47:52.420 --> 47:57.100
that's obviously an issue but here's another way that you can send it to a big category

47:57.100 --> 47:58.900
in the Bible is just saying things that are not true

47:59.900 --> 48:02.900
Okay, so one of those would be just lying.

48:02.900 --> 48:05.400
Lying is a sin, obviously.

48:05.400 --> 48:08.400
Okay, I don't know if that's controversial or not.

48:09.900 --> 48:16.400
And I would say, you know, and I'm trying to be very technical in this sermon, but...

48:16.500 --> 48:21.500
The only way I could say that, like, there's a couple of ways that we could look at lying,

48:21.500 --> 48:24.500
in a sense, where it would not necessarily be a sin.

48:24.500 --> 48:29.500
So if you're quoting someone's lie, then I do not believe that's a sin.

48:29.500 --> 48:34.500
And so the Bible records people making false statements.

48:34.900 --> 48:41.300
And so sometimes, you know, we have to be careful how we word these things and we want to approach the context, you know, diligently.

48:41.300 --> 48:45.600
But, you know, we could say that the Bible contains people lying.

48:45.600 --> 48:46.200
Yeah.

48:46.200 --> 48:55.200
You know, if someone, I've even said this before, it's probably not the best wording, but it's like the Bible contains lies only in the context of people being recorded as lying.

48:55.200 --> 48:57.900
Obviously, the Bible itself, though, is 100% true.

48:58.200 --> 49:01.480
So it'd be like a transcript in a courtroom

49:01.480 --> 49:06.920
that's just recording everything that's spoken by the people that are testifying.

49:06.920 --> 49:09.320
Someone gets on the witness stand and they said X, Y, and Z.

49:09.320 --> 49:11.560
They're just recording a transcript of that.

49:11.560 --> 49:14.280
Everything they said is true. The transcript is true.

49:15.000 --> 49:18.840
Even though the transcript's recording someone that lied on the witness stand.

49:19.400 --> 49:22.280
Okay, so we have to understand that the Bible is true.

49:23.000 --> 49:30.100
Everything the Bible says is 100% true, but it records people lying.

49:30.100 --> 49:34.200
So it truthfully and 100% accurately records people lying.

49:34.200 --> 49:40.100
So there's nothing wrong with recording or representing or quoting someone lying.

49:40.100 --> 49:41.300
Okay.

49:41.300 --> 49:48.100
That's different than me repeating someone's lie as if it were true.

49:48.100 --> 49:49.800
Okay, so we have to be careful with that.

49:50.100 --> 49:56.800
If I hear gossip and then I'm repeating what other people are saying,

49:56.800 --> 50:00.300
as if it's true, that's a sin.

50:00.300 --> 50:02.900
That would be railing if it's not true.

50:02.900 --> 50:04.800
Okay, and we'll get to that in a minute.

50:04.800 --> 50:07.800
This is why newspapers, you have to understand how our society even works.

50:07.800 --> 50:09.100
Our society understands this.

50:09.100 --> 50:10.200
America understands this.

50:10.200 --> 50:11.900
The legal system understands this.

50:11.900 --> 50:14.500
That's why anybody that's accused of a crime...

50:14.900 --> 50:20.500
the newspaper will say so-and-so is allegedly guilty of X, Y, and Z.

50:21.220 --> 50:22.980
Why do they say allegedly?

50:22.980 --> 50:26.740
Because they're saying someone is making this accusation.

50:26.740 --> 50:31.540
But they're not saying it's true because if a newspaper just got up and said so-and-so guilty of murder.

50:31.700 --> 50:34.200
And it turns out that that was not true.

50:34.200 --> 50:37.400
They can sue that newspaper for libel and for slander,

50:37.400 --> 50:39.100
and they can get lots of money from them.

50:39.100 --> 50:43.000
So they have to say, so-and-so is allegedly guilty of murder,

50:43.000 --> 50:46.200
or so-and-so has been accused of murder

50:46.200 --> 50:50.800
because they don't want to be guilty of railing and lying and slander

50:50.800 --> 50:54.800
because it's an actionable offense by our criminal system,

50:54.800 --> 50:56.500
by our civil system at least,

50:56.500 --> 50:59.700
by the sense that you can be taken to task and you can be s-

50:59.700 --> 51:03.780
sued and you could lose a lot of money for damaging someone's reputation for

51:03.780 --> 51:11.820
repeating lies about them. Now again, them accurately recording someone making a

51:11.820 --> 51:18.740
statement, not a sin. Them alleging the statement as true when it finds out that

51:18.740 --> 51:24.020
it's false is a sin. So if the paper says so and so accused so and so of this,

51:24.500 --> 51:28.500
That's not a sin. That's just a fact. That's just recording the information.

51:28.500 --> 51:32.500
Them just getting rid of that context and just asserting that statement.

51:32.500 --> 51:38.500
This person is guilty of X, Y, and Z. Well now they changed from being a record reporter,

51:38.500 --> 51:43.500
from a transcriber to making a statement, and if that statement turns out to be false,

51:43.500 --> 51:45.500
they're lying and that would be wrong.

51:45.500 --> 51:48.500
Okay, so we have to understand, I know I'm really spelling it out and I'm being slow here

51:48.500 --> 51:50.500
because I want people to understand this point.

51:50.500 --> 51:52.500
I want us to walk away and understand

51:52.500 --> 51:55.380
how the world works and how the Bible works, okay?

51:56.380 --> 51:58.460
Here's the only other caveat

51:58.460 --> 52:01.020
that I've recently reconsidered

52:01.020 --> 52:04.220
because I've always said like lying is this end period

52:04.220 --> 52:06.340
and I've genuinely believed that,

52:06.340 --> 52:09.860
but I could see how someone could make this argument

52:09.860 --> 52:12.180
and I think it's somewhat legitimate

52:12.180 --> 52:15.980
that if you were in a pressured situation

52:15.980 --> 52:18.060
like war type situation.

52:18.200 --> 52:22.360
a law enforcement situation, or you're under the threat of death,

52:22.360 --> 52:25.560
I could see how lying could be justified in that context.

52:25.560 --> 52:30.200
Only because it's like, it's not right for me to kill someone, right?

52:30.200 --> 52:32.760
It's not right for me to murder someone, that's illegal.

52:32.760 --> 52:35.000
But if someone were threatening my life,

52:35.000 --> 52:39.400
I can defend myself properly up to including...

52:39.600 --> 52:42.760
you know, killing them, okay,

52:42.760 --> 52:45.440
that I could stand my ground and I could use a gun.

52:45.440 --> 52:47.900
So it would be weird to think

52:47.900 --> 52:50.040
that someone could break into my house

52:50.040 --> 52:52.360
and I could put a bullet in their head,

52:52.360 --> 52:54.680
but I couldn't tell them a lie, right?

52:54.680 --> 52:57.080
Isn't that kind of weird to think about the fact like,

52:57.080 --> 52:59.000
if someone broke into my house with a gun

52:59.000 --> 53:01.080
and was trying to kill me and my family,

53:01.080 --> 53:02.880
that I couldn't be like, look over there,

53:02.880 --> 53:04.680
and then I shoot them in the head or something.

53:05.200 --> 53:07.200
Like, what's that over there, you know?

53:07.200 --> 53:10.200
And they just distract them that that would have been a sin,

53:10.200 --> 53:13.200
but shooting them in the head was cool.

53:13.200 --> 53:17.200
It's like, I think God's okay with that type of misdirection,

53:17.200 --> 53:21.200
considering the fact that God literally tells the children of Israel

53:21.200 --> 53:23.200
to send spies into the land.

53:23.800 --> 53:31.160
Isn't that somewhat misleading? Isn't that something like a little bit not being completely upfront with who they are since they're actual

53:31.160 --> 53:38.520
spies in the land? But again, this is a war type situation where they're basically using these tactics for

53:39.400 --> 53:46.400
military perspective. Look, when you're not in the military under threat of death, you're not law enforcement

53:46.900 --> 53:49.200
We're putting your life on the line.

53:49.200 --> 53:50.600
And again, I'm not saying cops should lie.

53:50.600 --> 53:51.800
Don't get me wrong, okay?

53:51.800 --> 53:55.300
I'm just saying, like, if a cop were an undercover cop,

53:55.300 --> 53:57.800
isn't that lying?

53:57.800 --> 53:59.300
But is that really a sin?

53:59.600 --> 54:01.600
I don't think it's necessarily a sin.

54:01.600 --> 54:03.600
And hey, I'm not even mad at the undercover cops.

54:03.600 --> 54:07.600
I'm not mad that police officers are going online

54:07.600 --> 54:10.600
and pretending to be some horrible person

54:10.600 --> 54:13.600
to catch literal pedophiles and criminals.

54:13.600 --> 54:16.600
I mean, I'm not going to say, let's shut down the pedophile catching

54:16.600 --> 54:18.600
because those cops are lying.

54:18.600 --> 54:20.600
Okay? I'm kind of okay with it.

54:20.600 --> 54:22.600
Who's okay with that?

54:22.600 --> 54:24.600
Yeah. I'm just mad that they didn't execute him.

54:24.600 --> 54:26.100
You know what I mean?

54:26.200 --> 54:30.200
Like, I'm not mad that they caught them, I'm just mad that they didn't execute them afterwards,

54:30.200 --> 54:34.840
because I'm thinking like, not only should you catch these freaks, we should execute them too.

54:34.840 --> 54:37.800
Hey, I'm not mad at Chris Hansen's to catch a Predator show.

54:38.840 --> 54:41.640
You know, I'm not mad at that particular context, okay?

54:42.760 --> 54:44.920
So obviously someone that's worthy of death,

54:45.800 --> 54:50.760
in the situation where you're engaging with them in their criminal act,

54:51.300 --> 54:55.860
I can see how there is a justification to be dishonest towards that person,

54:55.860 --> 55:01.380
so as to prevent further injury or further victimization or whatever.

55:01.700 --> 55:07.060
Now again, I'm not saying that in the situation of the courtroom that we should lie about

55:07.060 --> 55:08.060
them.

55:08.060 --> 55:09.380
I don't think we should plant evidence on them.

55:09.380 --> 55:13.860
I don't think that we should do something criminal or weird or over the top.

55:13.860 --> 55:19.340
But I'm just saying in a situation where you're in the moment, it's under pressure, there's

55:19.340 --> 55:23.940
a real threat of death or whatever, or we're trying to catch literal pedophiles and predators

55:23.940 --> 55:26.460
and murderers, I think that there could be an exception.

55:26.460 --> 55:29.220
I think the Bible shows that exception repeatedly.

55:29.220 --> 55:29.660
Okay?

55:29.700 --> 55:34.700
So, I've kind of changed my mind in that particular context.

55:34.700 --> 55:36.700
And I'm just trying to be honest with the text.

55:36.700 --> 55:43.700
But everything else, I think lying is just wrong, it's a sin, we shouldn't be doing it whatsoever.

55:44.800 --> 55:50.240
Bearing false witness is a variation of lying, and it's also a sin.

55:50.240 --> 55:55.040
Okay? So, you could just be lying to someone about yourself, right?

55:55.040 --> 55:56.320
You could just say anything.

55:56.320 --> 55:59.200
Bearing false witness is a little bit different in some ways,

55:59.200 --> 56:05.200
that you're testifying about someone else doing something, and you're lying about it.

56:05.200 --> 56:10.400
You know, this would be like going on the witness stand and lying about someone.

56:10.400 --> 56:12.720
Making public videos, lying.

56:12.800 --> 56:18.680
about someone so as to try and get them in trouble, you have the two sodomites who lie

56:18.680 --> 56:24.280
about Naboth and they bear false witness to try and get him executed and of course they're

56:24.280 --> 56:26.400
successful in doing so.

56:26.400 --> 56:28.280
Oh, I thought two witnesses are always true.

56:28.280 --> 56:30.040
No, that's not what the Bible teaches ever.

56:30.600 --> 56:35.400
Never said that. It said that you have to have that at a minimum for it to even possibly be true.

56:35.400 --> 56:38.200
It doesn't say two witnesses automatically true.

56:38.200 --> 56:44.000
It says if you don't have two witnesses, never count it for anything worthy of actually executing.

56:44.000 --> 56:45.800
You can't ever execute...

56:46.300 --> 56:49.500
some serious offense based on one witness.

56:49.500 --> 56:52.500
If you have two witnesses, you still have to make sure they agree

56:52.500 --> 56:54.800
and fit reality and there's due diligence.

56:54.800 --> 56:57.400
It doesn't say two witnesses, automatically true.

56:57.400 --> 56:59.100
Never says that in the Bible.

56:59.100 --> 57:05.100
It's not, it's not necessarily proven unless we can verify with other information.

57:05.100 --> 57:09.000
Now, if you have two reliable witnesses and you can't,

57:09.000 --> 57:10.900
you can't go against their testimony,

57:10.900 --> 57:14.200
then the Bible says it's sufficient to them be considered true.

57:14.600 --> 57:20.940
But if you have two witnesses and then it's contradicted by a multitude of other witnesses and facts and reality

57:20.940 --> 57:25.340
and they're not actually agreeing, well then we just throw that out and say they're both lying.

57:26.500 --> 57:28.180
Did you realize that two people can lie?

57:28.180 --> 57:28.680
Yeah.

57:29.180 --> 57:33.580
There's more than one person in this world that can lie and you could have two people lying about you.

57:36.700 --> 57:39.500
In fact, they sought out many false witnesses against Jesus.

57:39.500 --> 57:42.000
Isn't it funny that they tried to get many false witnesses

57:42.000 --> 57:45.200
and they still couldn't even get in their stories right?

57:45.200 --> 57:46.700
You know what's funny about false witnesses?

57:46.700 --> 57:51.000
It's usually a false witness doesn't even agree with themselves

57:51.000 --> 57:52.300
because they're lying.

57:52.300 --> 57:55.300
So obviously in the court, in a court situation, a legal situation,

57:55.300 --> 57:57.800
what they do is they try to get a deposition from someone.

57:57.800 --> 58:01.000
And what a deposition is, they try to record what you think

58:01.000 --> 58:04.100
and what happened in the situation months before the trial.

58:04.300 --> 58:08.300
So then that way when they actually get in the courtroom, you can't change your story.

58:08.300 --> 58:12.300
And if you do change your story, then they'll point it out and they'll say,

58:12.300 --> 58:18.300
we need to strike this witness from the record because they've shown that they've impeached themselves

58:18.300 --> 58:20.300
and they're not actually saying the same thing.

58:20.300 --> 58:25.300
And when they impeach themselves, their testimony is struck from the record.

58:25.300 --> 58:28.300
They can't even testify anymore because they changed their story.

58:29.200 --> 58:31.000
So that's why it's important to get an early testimony.

58:31.000 --> 58:33.800
It's funny, it's like, hey, this person said this one year ago,

58:33.800 --> 58:36.000
and now they're saying something completely different.

58:36.000 --> 58:38.500
That's impeaching themselves.

58:38.500 --> 58:41.200
And here's the thing, if you were guilty, if you were,

58:41.200 --> 58:43.900
like, not guilty, I'm saying, but if you were on trial

58:43.900 --> 58:45.500
and you're considered the defendant, you're considered

58:45.500 --> 58:48.200
the one with the accusation against you, they have to

58:48.200 --> 58:52.000
actually prove it before the burden of proof shifts to you.

58:52.000 --> 58:52.500
OK?

58:52.500 --> 58:54.400
And in many cases, you can plead the fifth, meaning you

58:54.400 --> 58:56.000
don't even have to testify for yourself.

58:56.700 --> 59:04.200
So if there's four witnesses against you, there's four witnesses, and they're going to testify against you in a court of law,

59:04.200 --> 59:12.700
and we impeach all four witnesses, meaning they've proven themselves to not be honest with their own record, they've all been struck with record,

59:12.700 --> 59:18.200
there's no reason for you to even go to the defense because there's no prosecution. The trial's over.

59:18.200 --> 59:22.700
Oh, we've already struck all four witnesses. Okay, we just, we move to dismiss.

59:23.400 --> 59:25.000
and they would just dismiss the case.

59:25.000 --> 59:26.700
You would never even have to go on the stand.

59:26.700 --> 59:28.500
You would never have to defend yourself from anything

59:28.500 --> 59:30.800
because they've already proven themselves to be false.

59:32.800 --> 59:34.900
And look, it's obviously a sin to bear false witness.

59:34.900 --> 59:37.300
You know what the Bible says the punishment is for a false witness?

59:37.300 --> 59:40.300
That they receive the punishment that you would have gotten.

59:40.300 --> 59:41.100
Yep.

59:42.100 --> 59:43.300
That's serious.

59:43.300 --> 59:47.300
If we actually did that to people, I think there'd be a lot less false accusations.

59:48.300 --> 59:50.400
At least they wouldn't be able to be repeat offenders.

59:50.600 --> 59:52.100
Here's another one, heresy.

59:52.100 --> 59:56.100
Heresy, saying things that are not true about the Bible would be heresy.

59:56.100 --> 01:00:03.100
Now, the word heresy, I don't know that it actually has an agreed upon definition, okay?

01:00:03.100 --> 01:00:09.100
Some people would say heresy is just like anything false.

01:00:09.900 --> 01:00:14.780
from a doctrinal perspective, just like any false doctrine, at any layer, at any level.

01:00:14.780 --> 01:00:17.180
I kind of lean into this camp.

01:00:17.180 --> 01:00:22.380
So when you hear me using this word, I tend to mean it in that sense, okay?

01:00:23.500 --> 01:00:30.100
Some people reserve heresy for just like very big doctrinal issues.

01:00:30.100 --> 01:00:33.700
Just like very, very off doctrinal issues.

01:00:33.700 --> 01:00:39.700
And somehow, like minor issues or minor things that are wrong, they wouldn't call it, quote, heresy.

01:00:39.700 --> 01:00:43.900
And they'll even reserve the word heretic for someone that has major issues.

01:00:44.800 --> 01:00:51.500
Now, I would probably agree that we should probably not throw out the word heretic for someone that's even off-doctrinally.

01:00:51.500 --> 01:00:53.500
So, like, case in point.

01:00:53.500 --> 01:00:56.500
I think that the preacher of rapture, personally, is heresy.

01:00:56.500 --> 01:00:57.500
Okay?

01:00:57.500 --> 01:01:05.500
But I wouldn't call every preacher, rapture believer, or like every pastor that hears that, as a heretic.

01:01:05.500 --> 01:01:06.500
Okay?

01:01:06.500 --> 01:01:09.400
So, I kind of make that distinction as well.

01:01:10.000 --> 01:01:14.160
But some people would just be like so careful that they they really only reserve

01:01:14.720 --> 01:01:18.560
Heresy for like what the Bible describes as damnable heresy

01:01:18.640 --> 01:01:22.960
But to me that distinction is made in the text because there is a distinction in the text

01:01:23.120 --> 01:01:27.200
So I think that there's Daniel heresy which I would for sure call you a heretic

01:01:27.200 --> 01:01:33.400
And then I think they're just heresy is just anything is false. Okay, that's just kind of my personal understanding this but

01:01:34.000 --> 01:01:37.500
Regardless of how you define these words or how you classify these things. It's all sin

01:01:38.500 --> 01:01:40.700
It's all sin. It's all wrong.

01:01:40.700 --> 01:01:44.400
And the Bible even says in Acts 20, look at verse number 30,

01:01:44.400 --> 01:01:46.600
also of your own selves, so men arise,

01:01:46.600 --> 01:01:52.800
speaking perverse things to draw away disciples after them.

01:01:52.800 --> 01:01:55.400
So these are people that are saying perverse things.

01:01:55.400 --> 01:02:00.000
Now, I want to go to 1 Timothy 6 as well, 1 Timothy 6.

01:02:01.000 --> 01:02:04.500
A lot of times the Bible does mean this when it says perverse or perverted

01:02:04.500 --> 01:02:09.000
to mean kind of like of a bedroom nature or abominable nature.

01:02:09.000 --> 01:02:14.800
But also the Bible uses the word pervert just to mean twist, corrupt, or do anything wrong.

01:02:14.800 --> 01:02:17.000
So it doesn't even have to be of that nature.

01:02:17.000 --> 01:02:20.000
So again, it's just saying things that are wrong.

01:02:20.000 --> 01:02:24.000
So I don't want you to get this idea like, oh, well this preacher...

01:02:24.200 --> 01:02:28.040
didn't say something that's wrong of a bedroom nature, so therefore it's not perverted.

01:02:28.040 --> 01:02:32.040
No, it can be perverted even though it's not of a bedroom nature.

01:02:32.040 --> 01:02:36.880
And he's saying there are preachers perverting the scripture, perverting doctrine,

01:02:36.880 --> 01:02:39.400
to draw away disciples after themselves,

01:02:39.400 --> 01:02:44.440
and that's why it's important to be careful what you're hearing, what you're listening to.

01:02:44.440 --> 01:02:46.920
And we don't want to listen to things that are not true.

01:02:46.920 --> 01:02:50.560
Perverted doctrine. 1 Timothy chapter 6, look at verse 3.

01:02:51.500 --> 01:02:56.140
If any man teach otherwise and consent not to notice this wholesome words,

01:02:56.140 --> 01:02:58.700
even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ in the doctrine,

01:02:58.700 --> 01:03:01.900
which is according to godliness, he is proud.

01:03:02.200 --> 01:03:06.900
knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words,

01:03:06.900 --> 01:03:10.100
whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmising,

01:03:10.100 --> 01:03:13.300
perverse disputings of men of corrupted minds,

01:03:13.300 --> 01:03:15.800
and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness,

01:03:15.800 --> 01:03:17.300
from such withdraw thyself."

01:03:17.300 --> 01:03:20.100
Now, this is why I make that statement.

01:03:20.100 --> 01:03:24.300
Notice that it gives an example.

01:03:24.300 --> 01:03:27.600
In verse 5, an example of a bad teaching is what?

01:03:27.600 --> 01:03:29.000
Supposing...

01:03:29.200 --> 01:03:31.200
that gain is godliness.

01:03:31.200 --> 01:03:34.960
But notice it says in verse 5 that this is perverse

01:03:34.960 --> 01:03:37.080
disputings of men of corrupt minds

01:03:37.080 --> 01:03:39.240
and death to the truth, supposing.

01:03:39.240 --> 01:03:44.440
So it's tying this doctrine to the word perverse,

01:03:44.440 --> 01:03:47.560
proving that you can have a perverse doctrine

01:03:47.560 --> 01:03:49.240
that's not about the bedroom.

01:03:49.500 --> 01:03:51.700
Because this is not about a bedroom topic.

01:03:51.700 --> 01:03:54.000
This is not about an abominable topic.

01:03:54.000 --> 01:03:55.900
This is simply a false doctrine.

01:03:55.900 --> 01:03:58.900
And notice the Bible is calling it perverse.

01:03:58.900 --> 01:04:01.600
So then in Acts chapter number 20,

01:04:01.600 --> 01:04:04.900
when it's warning about men speaking perverse things

01:04:04.900 --> 01:04:06.300
to draw away disciples out of them,

01:04:06.300 --> 01:04:09.300
it's not limited to those things of a bedroom nature.

01:04:09.300 --> 01:04:14.100
Now of course, if preachers are getting up saying perverted things of a bedroom nature,

01:04:14.100 --> 01:04:15.900
they're gross too.

01:04:16.200 --> 01:04:21.200
And that's a sin too, and you should be careful of those people, and you should want to stay away from those people.

01:04:21.200 --> 01:04:28.200
But also, the Bible is warning people for reading any kind of perverse doctrine, any kind of perversion,

01:04:28.200 --> 01:04:32.200
perverting the words of God, hey, this is a serious issue.

01:04:32.200 --> 01:04:36.200
And we want to be careful to stay away from those type of individuals.

01:04:36.200 --> 01:04:39.200
And it says, if any man teach otherwise.

01:04:39.500 --> 01:04:44.500
Okay, if anybody teaches anything that's not in the Bible, the Bible says they're prideful,

01:04:44.500 --> 01:04:47.500
they're proud, and they don't know anything.

01:04:47.500 --> 01:04:51.500
And notice that they love to dote about questions, and notice this in stripes of words.

01:04:51.500 --> 01:05:00.500
It's so funny, the people that are bad, they're always trying to quibble over definitions of words.

01:05:01.100 --> 01:05:06.780
and they're just always striving about exactly what this word means or does it not

01:05:06.780 --> 01:05:12.860
or can you use this word or can you not use that word and just it just always is this this pedantic

01:05:13.420 --> 01:05:18.620
stuff and they don't realize that they just butchered the doctrine of the bible by

01:05:19.980 --> 01:05:21.260
having these stripes of words

01:05:21.800 --> 01:05:30.600
They create a strife of words and then they miss the force for the trees and don't realize all the weird doctrine they're actually teaching by changing definitions of words.

01:05:30.600 --> 01:05:33.400
By striving about what a word actually means.

01:05:33.400 --> 01:05:37.000
And it's corrupt, it's wicked, is what the Bible is saying.

01:05:37.000 --> 01:05:38.640
It's saying here specifically,

01:05:38.640 --> 01:05:40.440
"...worth cometh envy."

01:05:40.440 --> 01:05:43.040
So notice, why would someone change the definition of a word?

01:05:43.040 --> 01:05:45.000
Because they're envious of people.

01:05:45.000 --> 01:05:46.440
Because they're prideful.

01:05:46.440 --> 01:05:48.040
Because they want to cause strife.

01:05:48.200 --> 01:05:50.200
And because they want to rail.

01:05:50.200 --> 01:05:54.200
People change the definition of words so they can rail.

01:05:54.200 --> 01:05:58.200
And then it's funny because they change the definition of rail so then they can rail.

01:06:01.500 --> 01:06:08.300
Evil surmising. They changed the definition of rail so then they can evil surmise all day long.

01:06:08.300 --> 01:06:14.100
What's evil surmising? It's just presuming evil on someone that you don't even know about.

01:06:14.100 --> 01:06:17.800
Why just, I just think you're bad because of nothing.

01:06:17.800 --> 01:06:24.300
Based on nothing. I just, I believe something bad about you even though I have no proof or no evidence necessarily.

01:06:24.300 --> 01:06:28.500
You know, again, it's not saying they're making reasonable deductions here.

01:06:28.700 --> 01:06:31.900
Evil surmising is not reasonable deductions.

01:06:31.900 --> 01:06:36.620
It's like, hey, we saw this guy go to the store alone by himself,

01:06:36.620 --> 01:06:40.660
he's on the camera, he has the gun in his possession,

01:06:40.660 --> 01:06:42.540
reasonable deduction, he's the guilty party.

01:06:42.540 --> 01:06:44.820
That's not evil surmising.

01:06:44.820 --> 01:06:48.860
But it's just like, hey, there was a robbery from the store,

01:06:48.860 --> 01:06:51.100
why does it think it was Ben?

01:06:51.100 --> 01:06:53.460
It's just like, whoa, like why?

01:06:53.800 --> 01:06:55.800
It's like, oh, a plane went down and crashed.

01:06:55.800 --> 01:06:57.480
It was Ben.

01:06:57.480 --> 01:06:58.800
It's like, why?

01:06:58.800 --> 01:06:59.960
Well, he's from Lebanon.

01:06:59.960 --> 01:07:00.720
You know what I mean?

01:07:00.720 --> 01:07:04.240
Case in point, that's evil surmising.

01:07:04.240 --> 01:07:04.840
OK?

01:07:04.840 --> 01:07:07.120
So we have to understand there's a huge difference

01:07:07.120 --> 01:07:11.680
between making a reasonable deduction and evil surmising,

01:07:11.680 --> 01:07:14.400
OK, where you just project evil and you just

01:07:14.400 --> 01:07:18.880
say horrible things about people that have no basis in reality.

01:07:18.880 --> 01:07:20.280
You're not even pointing to a fact.

01:07:20.500 --> 01:07:24.500
You're just making stuff up, just calling people bad based on nothing.

01:07:24.500 --> 01:07:28.500
No evidence. This would be a serious issue.

01:07:28.500 --> 01:07:32.500
So anytime you're saying anything that's not true, let me say this, it's a sin.

01:07:32.500 --> 01:07:36.500
Except for the few caveats I gave, right?

01:07:36.500 --> 01:07:40.500
We're recording someone lying, or it's like a threat of death.

01:07:40.500 --> 01:07:44.500
Okay? Putting those two caveats aside,

01:07:44.500 --> 01:07:48.100
when you're speaking false things, it's wrong. Okay? It's a sin.

01:07:48.800 --> 01:07:50.800
Couple other examples, blasphemy.

01:07:50.800 --> 01:07:54.800
Again, I don't know why this is controversial, but let me explain something to you.

01:07:54.800 --> 01:07:57.800
Blasphemy is not true.

01:07:57.800 --> 01:07:58.800
Okay?

01:07:58.800 --> 01:07:59.800
This is a radical statement.

01:07:59.800 --> 01:08:02.800
But when you're blaspheming, you're not saying things that are true.

01:08:02.800 --> 01:08:05.800
It's either twisted or profane.

01:08:05.800 --> 01:08:07.800
You're making fun of something.

01:08:07.800 --> 01:08:13.800
And of course, blasphemy typically is in relation to just directly against God himself.

01:08:13.800 --> 01:08:16.400
It could be about God or it could be about the things of God.

01:08:16.500 --> 01:08:22.420
But in general, you're just disparaging God, putting God down, taking the Lord's name in

01:08:22.420 --> 01:08:26.100
vain, just any of these things. And the Bible says the Lord will not hold him guiltless that

01:08:26.100 --> 01:08:32.500
take it as name in vain. It's a serious, serious thing. Now you have to understand that blasphemy

01:08:33.540 --> 01:08:42.020
is not about only tone or something. Okay. Now again, could tone be included in that aspect? Yes.

01:08:42.700 --> 01:08:46.200
but it's not really about the tone because think about it.

01:08:46.200 --> 01:08:49.400
You can say in the Bible,

01:08:49.400 --> 01:08:52.000
you can say all kinds of things about God.

01:08:52.000 --> 01:08:54.200
You can use His name repeatedly.

01:08:54.200 --> 01:08:57.100
That's not what makes it blasphemous, is using His name.

01:08:57.100 --> 01:08:59.300
It's not even really the tone entirely.

01:08:59.300 --> 01:09:03.100
It's about the context upon which you're using the name that matters.

01:09:03.100 --> 01:09:07.900
If you're talking about God or to God, it seems justified.

01:09:07.900 --> 01:09:09.900
But if you're using God's name,

01:09:10.100 --> 01:09:12.100
when it has nothing to do with the context

01:09:12.100 --> 01:09:14.100
or in a disparaging manner,

01:09:14.100 --> 01:09:16.100
well, now it seems like it's in vain.

01:09:16.100 --> 01:09:19.600
You know, it's like, hey, you hit your thumb with a nail

01:09:19.600 --> 01:09:21.600
and then you just use the Lord's name.

01:09:21.600 --> 01:09:25.600
What did Jesus have to do with you hitting your thumb with a nail?

01:09:25.600 --> 01:09:27.100
Or with a hammer or whatever?

01:09:27.300 --> 01:09:31.620
It's like that was taking his name in vain because he's not involved in that transaction.

01:09:31.620 --> 01:09:35.380
He's not the reason that you are dumb. He's not the reason that you hate yourself.

01:09:35.380 --> 01:09:42.500
You know, that's not fair to use the Lord's name as an expletive because what are you saying?

01:09:43.380 --> 01:09:47.060
What is the expression? Like, what is the idea you're communicating? You're mad.

01:09:48.020 --> 01:09:53.780
You're angry. You know, you're exerting anger. You're exerting frustration. You're exerting pain.

01:09:54.300 --> 01:09:56.860
Well, did Jesus cause you pain?

01:09:56.860 --> 01:09:58.940
Did Jesus cause you this discomfort?

01:09:58.940 --> 01:10:00.740
Or did you just self-injure?

01:10:00.740 --> 01:10:04.100
It's like, it's not fair to use the Lord's name in vain

01:10:04.100 --> 01:10:06.260
when he's not involved.

01:10:06.260 --> 01:10:10.460
But there's nothing wrong with saying Jesus' name.

01:10:10.460 --> 01:10:12.660
It's the name above all names.

01:10:12.660 --> 01:10:15.940
So again, it's about the context upon which it's used.

01:10:15.940 --> 01:10:17.420
Because think about it.

01:10:17.420 --> 01:10:20.860
You know, you could be very expressive about saying that.

01:10:21.700 --> 01:10:24.700
Jesus! I mean you could yell it!

01:10:24.700 --> 01:10:31.700
That's fine. But it's just like, if I did that exact same thing after I smashed my thumb with a hammer, isn't it bad?

01:10:31.700 --> 01:10:38.700
So was it the tone? Was it how I expressed it? Or was it the context upon which I expressed it?

01:10:38.700 --> 01:10:40.700
And we would all be pretty offended, right?

01:10:40.700 --> 01:10:44.700
What if I just tripped right now and I just screamed Jesus' name?

01:10:44.700 --> 01:10:46.200
Wouldn't you be kind of mad at me?

01:10:46.700 --> 01:10:48.900
But if I said, hey, there's a name above every name,

01:10:48.900 --> 01:10:51.660
and I said, Jesus, no one's offended.

01:10:51.660 --> 01:10:54.220
I could have said it with the exact same inflection,

01:10:54.220 --> 01:10:57.620
the exact same tone, the exact same everything,

01:10:57.620 --> 01:10:59.140
and you're not offended.

01:10:59.140 --> 01:11:02.020
I do it in a different context, totally offended.

01:11:02.020 --> 01:11:02.300
Why?

01:11:02.300 --> 01:11:04.700
Because the context is driving that.

01:11:04.700 --> 01:11:08.220
And again, it would be false or untrue for me

01:11:08.220 --> 01:11:12.100
to blame Jesus for me tripping.

01:11:12.100 --> 01:11:13.700
That's why it's blasphemy.

01:11:14.000 --> 01:11:19.000
But it's not blasphemy to yell his name being the name above every name because that's what the Bible says.

01:11:19.000 --> 01:11:24.000
So you have to understand blasphemy is taking the Lord's name in vain.

01:11:24.000 --> 01:11:28.000
It's something the Bible says in the Ten Commandments.

01:11:28.000 --> 01:11:31.000
It's something God will not hold you guiltless for.

01:11:31.000 --> 01:11:37.900
Of course, talking about the things of God, you know, disparaging God, talking negatively about God, teaching false doctrine could be considered blasphemy.

01:11:39.800 --> 01:11:43.800
And another point would be in a similar vein would be railing.

01:11:43.800 --> 01:11:49.800
Now railing, I want to spend some time on this particular point.

01:11:49.800 --> 01:11:56.800
We're going to spend a little bit of time on this, but railing I believe biblically is saying something that is false.

01:11:56.800 --> 01:12:00.800
In a negative, harsh, scolding, mocking, whatever way.

01:12:01.400 --> 01:12:06.040
But I would argue that even if someone said it in the most gentle way,

01:12:06.040 --> 01:12:08.200
if it's not true, I would still consider railing.

01:12:08.200 --> 01:12:08.700
Yeah.

01:12:09.560 --> 01:12:12.520
And I would say someone that's saying the most harsh, scolding,

01:12:13.480 --> 01:12:17.640
you know, ridiculing, mocking, mean-spirited thing,

01:12:18.360 --> 01:12:24.120
but it's true, I won't take the task for the Bible's definition of railing.

01:12:24.400 --> 01:12:29.140
Now again, in a modern dictionary, and this is a big point because there's a lot of people

01:12:29.140 --> 01:12:34.260
that would get mad about me saying this, in a modern dictionary today, if you look up

01:12:34.260 --> 01:12:38.700
railing as a broader definition, and this is the only point they have on their side,

01:12:38.700 --> 01:12:42.000
is that the people that disagree with me on what I just said, is that a modern dictionary

01:12:42.000 --> 01:12:43.000
will say this.

01:12:43.000 --> 01:12:46.520
in dictionary will say, hey, railing is just harsh scolding.

01:12:47.100 --> 01:12:53.100
or abusive language, or just basically just saying something negative about someone.

01:12:53.100 --> 01:12:57.100
And it says it doesn't matter if it's true or not, okay?

01:12:57.100 --> 01:13:02.100
But I have a problem with that from a Bible perspective, and you can go, I've preached many sermons on this.

01:13:02.100 --> 01:13:08.100
Because there's been many bozo preachers in the past that have tried to redefine railing, and I've taken them to task repeatedly.

01:13:08.100 --> 01:13:12.100
The word rail is only used a handful of times in the Bible, it's like seven or eight times or something like this.

01:13:12.300 --> 01:13:16.300
or its variations, and it's always a twisted statement, it's always a false statement.

01:13:17.580 --> 01:13:21.500
But look, I don't let the modern world dictate how I use biblical language.

01:13:22.140 --> 01:13:27.260
Because in our modern idea, the word wine almost always just only means an alcoholic beverage.

01:13:27.900 --> 01:13:31.020
But the word wine in the Bible is not always alcohol.

01:13:31.020 --> 01:13:34.540
So I'm not going to sit here and redefine the word wine

01:13:34.540 --> 01:13:37.100
in my King James Bible as always being alcoholic.

01:13:37.900 --> 01:13:41.500
when the Bible uses it in non-alcoholic ways.

01:13:41.500 --> 01:13:43.900
Same way, if the modern world will say,

01:13:43.900 --> 01:13:47.300
well, railing can mean true statements that are mean,

01:13:47.300 --> 01:13:49.300
I'm not going to take that and insert it into the Bible

01:13:49.300 --> 01:13:52.900
and twist what the word railing is meaning in the Bible.

01:13:52.900 --> 01:13:55.900
Because the context determines what is right and wrong,

01:13:55.900 --> 01:13:59.100
not a modern understanding or a modern dictionary.

01:13:59.100 --> 01:14:03.500
I'm not going to take the modern idea of nephew and insert it.

01:14:03.600 --> 01:14:06.600
into 1st Timothy chapter number 5,

01:14:06.600 --> 01:14:09.600
where the word nephew is used and it kind of means grandson.

01:14:09.600 --> 01:14:13.600
Okay? So there can be all kinds of different things where

01:14:13.600 --> 01:14:16.600
we have a different idea. You know there's a guy named Noah Webster,

01:14:16.600 --> 01:14:19.600
and it's funny because

01:14:19.600 --> 01:14:22.600
all of these people who disagree with me, they love to go to his dictionary,

01:14:22.600 --> 01:14:25.100
the 1828 Noah Webster's Dictionary.

01:14:25.300 --> 01:14:27.700
and they use his definition of railing.

01:14:27.700 --> 01:14:29.500
But Noah Webster has his own Bible.

01:14:29.500 --> 01:14:32.300
He made his own Bible translation.

01:14:32.300 --> 01:14:32.820
Okay?

01:14:32.820 --> 01:14:35.500
What's funny is like if you love Noah Webster so much in 1828,

01:14:35.500 --> 01:14:37.100
why don't you just use the Noah Webster's dictionary?

01:14:37.100 --> 01:14:39.420
Or Noah Webster's Bible, okay?

01:14:39.420 --> 01:14:42.740
But Noah Webster would update words

01:14:42.740 --> 01:14:44.900
that he considered, quote, false friends.

01:14:44.900 --> 01:14:46.060
And one of them was usury,

01:14:46.060 --> 01:14:50.100
because he said the modern idea of usury is excessive interest.

01:14:50.300 --> 01:14:52.300
And that's not what the Bible means by usury.

01:14:52.300 --> 01:14:54.300
The Bible means just interest.

01:14:54.300 --> 01:15:00.300
And so he literally changed usury to interest in every place in his Bible

01:15:00.300 --> 01:15:03.300
so that you would have a better understanding of what that word particular means.

01:15:04.000 --> 01:15:07.040
But again, that's not the problem with the modern versions today.

01:15:07.040 --> 01:15:10.960
They're not taking the quote, few false friends that we have,

01:15:10.960 --> 01:15:15.040
the few modern words and trying to update them and get them a little bit better understanding.

01:15:15.040 --> 01:15:18.880
They're using a completely different underlying text,

01:15:18.880 --> 01:15:22.400
and they're taking whole verses out and saying perverse things, okay?

01:15:22.400 --> 01:15:24.240
That's why we don't like the modern versions.

01:15:24.700 --> 01:15:29.780
But there's nothing wrong with clarifying the definition of words from the counterpart

01:15:29.780 --> 01:15:36.540
and the modern usage today and saying, hey, yeah, modern day railing is a broad definition.

01:15:36.540 --> 01:15:39.660
But let me tell you something, biblical definition of railing, not that.

01:15:40.200 --> 01:15:43.060
Hey, modern day usury, excessive interest.

01:15:43.060 --> 01:15:46.500
Bible? No, no, no, no. Strictly any interest whatsoever.

01:15:46.500 --> 01:15:49.300
Hey, modern idea of wine, alcoholic beverage.

01:15:49.300 --> 01:15:53.800
Biblically, it could be intoxicated or intoxicating beverage.

01:15:53.800 --> 01:15:56.500
Okay, I think we should always be making those distinctions.

01:15:56.800 --> 01:16:01.600
And it would be unfair to say that we can't when it's so many examples.

01:16:01.600 --> 01:16:06.800
There's so many examples where I could take a modern or limited understanding of a word

01:16:06.800 --> 01:16:10.000
and retroactively apply to the Bible and teach false doctrine.

01:16:10.000 --> 01:16:14.720
So we want to make sure that we're always considering the context of the Bible

01:16:14.720 --> 01:16:15.760
when we get our definitions.

01:16:15.760 --> 01:16:16.720
And let me tell you something.

01:16:16.720 --> 01:16:22.960
Every example of railing in the Bible that you can derive meaning is a false or a twisted statement.

01:16:23.400 --> 01:16:26.000
So therefore, that is the standard for our church,

01:16:26.000 --> 01:16:28.140
and that's how we apply biblical railing

01:16:28.140 --> 01:16:29.880
in 1 Corinthians chapter number five.

01:16:29.880 --> 01:16:31.880
We don't believe in quote, good railing.

01:16:33.880 --> 01:16:36.880
Okay, and these other people that disagree with me

01:16:36.880 --> 01:16:40.660
on this issue, they can't figure out what they believe.

01:16:40.660 --> 01:16:41.820
So they'll sometimes be like,

01:16:41.820 --> 01:16:43.920
well, that's biblical railing, but it's not,

01:16:43.920 --> 01:16:45.800
but it is, but it isn't, but it could be,

01:16:45.800 --> 01:16:47.660
but I don't know, you define it.

01:16:47.660 --> 01:16:49.500
And you're just like, okay.

01:16:49.500 --> 01:16:51.140
So is Jesus a good railer?

01:16:51.400 --> 01:16:54.400
And it's like they don't want to answer the question.

01:16:54.400 --> 01:16:57.520
But again, since I define railing as lying,

01:16:57.520 --> 01:17:00.640
I can say Jesus is not a railer.

01:17:00.640 --> 01:17:02.920
The people that disagree with me have to figure out

01:17:02.920 --> 01:17:05.000
how they reconcile Jesus.

01:17:05.000 --> 01:17:05.680
Is he a railer?

01:17:05.680 --> 01:17:06.440
Is he not a railer?

01:17:06.440 --> 01:17:08.160
I don't know.

01:17:08.160 --> 01:17:09.760
And this is a big, big issue.

01:17:09.760 --> 01:17:12.560
So I would say that, hey, if you're

01:17:12.560 --> 01:17:16.880
saying something that's true, it's not railing.

01:17:16.880 --> 01:17:18.520
But I also want to make another clear.

01:17:19.100 --> 01:17:21.100
distinction because we've been talking about sins of the mouth.

01:17:21.100 --> 01:17:24.100
Just because you're saying something that's true

01:17:24.100 --> 01:17:27.100
doesn't mean it's still not a sin.

01:17:27.100 --> 01:17:30.100
Okay? And this is a big category mismatch.

01:17:30.100 --> 01:17:33.100
People will take sinful speech

01:17:33.100 --> 01:17:35.100
and call it railing,

01:17:35.100 --> 01:17:37.100
even though it's true.

01:17:37.100 --> 01:17:41.100
And you think that's, we don't want to make a mistake on this category, okay?

01:17:41.100 --> 01:17:43.100
You can say something that's true

01:17:43.100 --> 01:17:45.100
and still be sinning,

01:17:45.100 --> 01:17:46.100
but it's not railing.

01:17:46.600 --> 01:17:52.200
Okay, but I don't believe biblically can be railing and saying something that's true.

01:17:52.200 --> 01:17:56.600
Okay, these are two different categories and we want to unwind these for a moment, okay?

01:17:56.600 --> 01:17:58.600
What's saying something that's true that's a sin?

01:17:58.600 --> 01:18:01.100
It's called tail-bearing.

01:18:01.100 --> 01:18:04.000
Revealing private information that you shouldn't.

01:18:04.000 --> 01:18:05.100
Okay?

01:18:05.100 --> 01:18:07.900
It's not that it's not true that's the sin.

01:18:07.900 --> 01:18:10.100
The fact that it's true is why it's tail-bearing.

01:18:10.600 --> 01:18:13.640
The problem is that you shouldn't have been sharing that information

01:18:13.640 --> 01:18:16.120
because you should have been exercising discretion.

01:18:16.120 --> 01:18:16.840
Okay?

01:18:16.840 --> 01:18:20.520
So sometimes people will be guilty of tail-bearing

01:18:20.520 --> 01:18:23.320
and then they'll be categorized as a railer.

01:18:23.320 --> 01:18:26.120
This would be a false categorization, okay?

01:18:26.120 --> 01:18:28.120
You can be tail-bearing and it's wrong,

01:18:28.120 --> 01:18:29.240
they should be called out,

01:18:29.240 --> 01:18:30.840
you should tell people to not do it,

01:18:30.840 --> 01:18:31.720
but it's not railing.

01:18:31.720 --> 01:18:35.400
And look, you won't be thrown out of our church for railing

01:18:35.400 --> 01:18:36.920
because you are a tail-bearer.

01:18:38.200 --> 01:18:39.700
that's not going to happen.

01:18:39.700 --> 01:18:41.600
If you're repeating things that are true,

01:18:41.600 --> 01:18:44.360
you will not be kicked out of our church for railing.

01:18:44.360 --> 01:18:45.560
Now here's the thing.

01:18:45.560 --> 01:18:47.800
If I reveal a bunch of secrets about someone

01:18:47.800 --> 01:18:50.760
and offend them greatly and hurt their feelings

01:18:50.760 --> 01:18:53.240
and cause them all kinds of problems,

01:18:53.240 --> 01:18:54.840
and they come to me and they say,

01:18:54.840 --> 01:18:56.160
hey, you need to like apologize,

01:18:56.160 --> 01:18:57.320
you shouldn't have revealed that information.

01:18:57.320 --> 01:18:58.160
I'm like, no, I don't care.

01:18:58.160 --> 01:19:00.000
I'm going to do it anyways.

01:19:00.000 --> 01:19:02.360
Well, then they could say like,

01:19:02.360 --> 01:19:03.680
well, I'm going to get two more witnesses

01:19:03.680 --> 01:19:05.300
and we're going to confront you on this issue.

01:19:05.500 --> 01:19:07.840
Then you go through Matthew 18.

01:19:07.840 --> 01:19:09.500
Hey, here's four of us.

01:19:09.500 --> 01:19:12.220
We don't think you should have revealed this information.

01:19:12.220 --> 01:19:13.840
It was inappropriate.

01:19:13.840 --> 01:19:15.100
You should have had discretion here.

01:19:15.100 --> 01:19:17.380
Why don't I'm not sorry for it?

01:19:17.380 --> 01:19:18.580
Then we take it for the church.

01:19:18.580 --> 01:19:20.740
Then you could be technically kicked out of church

01:19:20.740 --> 01:19:24.100
for offending a brother based on the tail bearing.

01:19:24.100 --> 01:19:27.380
But you could not be unilaterally church disciplined

01:19:27.380 --> 01:19:28.780
for railing for doing that.

01:19:29.000 --> 01:19:32.840
Because it's a different category, it's a different situation, it's a different scenario.

01:19:32.840 --> 01:19:35.200
And so we don't want to mix these categories up.

01:19:35.200 --> 01:19:37.040
We don't want to confuse these categories.

01:19:37.040 --> 01:19:41.800
And if someone was saying something that's true, I don't want to call them a railer.

01:19:41.800 --> 01:19:45.520
Because it's not fair to call them a railer if they're not railing, okay?

01:19:45.520 --> 01:19:49.040
They could be a tail-bearer, but not a railer.

01:19:49.040 --> 01:19:52.920
Here's another one. How about memes? Okay, let's talk about memes for a moment, alright?

01:19:52.920 --> 01:19:55.080
Go to Job chapter 29.

01:19:55.080 --> 01:19:56.080
Memes.

01:19:56.300 --> 01:20:02.300
And I'm trying to unwind and be very careful and precise in how we're defining these things so we understand them.

01:20:03.300 --> 01:20:05.300
Memes are obviously like jokes.

01:20:05.300 --> 01:20:08.300
And look, before the internet memes existed.

01:20:08.300 --> 01:20:13.300
It was just crude. You just kind of had to make, you know, you had to verbalize it, what you were saying.

01:20:13.300 --> 01:20:18.300
But I guarantee someone drew a picture in the past sometimes and made a meme out of it, okay?

01:20:18.800 --> 01:20:20.720
We didn't invent it because of the internet.

01:20:20.720 --> 01:20:24.000
It's just the internet makes it so much more accessible than ever before.

01:20:24.000 --> 01:20:27.920
It'd be like saying that letters didn't exist because of email.

01:20:27.920 --> 01:20:31.280
It's like, no, email has replaced letters in a lot of ways.

01:20:31.280 --> 01:20:33.600
But look, there's no new thing under the sun.

01:20:33.600 --> 01:20:37.360
There's always been jokes and ridicule and making fun of people

01:20:37.360 --> 01:20:42.240
and putting together clever ways to basically make a joke about something.

01:20:42.240 --> 01:20:43.840
Okay?

01:20:43.840 --> 01:20:44.600
Now...

01:20:45.300 --> 01:20:47.300
Are memes sinful?

01:20:47.300 --> 01:20:49.300
And here's the answer.

01:20:49.300 --> 01:20:51.300
No.

01:20:51.300 --> 01:20:54.300
But does that mean that every meme is okay?

01:20:54.300 --> 01:20:56.300
No.

01:20:56.300 --> 01:20:58.300
So just because you're saying something that's true

01:20:58.300 --> 01:21:01.300
doesn't mean it's not a sin.

01:21:01.300 --> 01:21:03.300
You could be doing a meme

01:21:03.300 --> 01:21:05.300
that's revealing private information

01:21:05.300 --> 01:21:07.200
and it crossed the boundary of tail-bearing again.

01:21:07.600 --> 01:21:12.160
Shouldn't do that. You shouldn't be making memes or jokes or talking about situations

01:21:12.160 --> 01:21:14.580
You shouldn't be talking about that crosses that line

01:21:15.780 --> 01:21:22.320
But a lot of memes in our world today if we really think about it, what is it doing? It's addressing public information

01:21:23.440 --> 01:21:29.580
It's addressing public doctrine. It's addressing public actions and public situations

01:21:30.300 --> 01:21:35.500
I think we should be allowed the freedom to talk about things that are in the public domain.

01:21:35.500 --> 01:21:36.900
Okay?

01:21:36.900 --> 01:21:37.900
Things that are...

01:21:37.900 --> 01:21:40.700
When someone's putting a sermon on the internet for everyone to hear,

01:21:40.700 --> 01:21:45.500
I think you should be allowed to talk about the sermon that people have been putting on the internet for everyone to hear.

01:21:45.500 --> 01:21:49.500
I think that our politicians passing legislation...

01:21:49.700 --> 01:21:54.100
that is public record should be open for us to talk about.

01:21:54.100 --> 01:22:00.100
I think the decisions and the speeches of our politicians are open for public discourse.

01:22:00.100 --> 01:22:05.140
Okay, so if you are talking about what the politicians have said publicly

01:22:05.140 --> 01:22:08.580
about what our legislation is legislating publicly,

01:22:08.580 --> 01:22:12.260
and what we're doing publicly, and what our president does publicly,

01:22:12.900 --> 01:22:14.100
there's nothing wrong with that.

01:22:15.620 --> 01:22:16.820
Now, historically,

01:22:17.400 --> 01:22:24.380
Many countries and many tyrants have not liked this because they realize that when you make fun of what the king said

01:22:24.800 --> 01:22:26.800
It makes the king look bad

01:22:27.240 --> 01:22:31.240
So then they outlawed it and they said you can't criticize the king

01:22:31.280 --> 01:22:35.920
You can't make jokes about the king you can't talk negatively about the king

01:22:36.280 --> 01:22:39.320
You can't say anything that the Emperor is wearing no clothes

01:22:40.400 --> 01:22:46.400
Okay, so they would ban this. Americans, your forefathers, at least some of us,

01:22:46.400 --> 01:22:52.400
I don't know if you freshly got off the boat or not, but I'm just saying a lot of us, okay, our forefathers,

01:22:52.400 --> 01:22:58.400
hey, they realize this is bad. We should be able to say whatever we want.

01:22:58.400 --> 01:23:03.400
We should be able to criticize the government however we see fit.

01:23:03.400 --> 01:23:07.400
And you know what? Praise God you have this thing called the First Amendment!

01:23:08.000 --> 01:23:12.600
Where you can criticize public discourse at will.

01:23:12.600 --> 01:23:15.400
You can say whatever you want.

01:23:15.400 --> 01:23:17.700
You can believe whatever you want.

01:23:17.700 --> 01:23:18.900
Freedom.

01:23:18.900 --> 01:23:21.000
And you know what? I like it.

01:23:21.000 --> 01:23:23.400
I like it and I think it's biblical.

01:23:23.400 --> 01:23:24.900
You can even sin with your mouth.

01:23:24.900 --> 01:23:26.300
The Bible allows you to do it.

01:23:26.300 --> 01:23:28.000
And you know what? God allows you to do it.

01:23:28.000 --> 01:23:30.400
Should you do it? No.

01:23:30.400 --> 01:23:32.800
Are we going to make it a crime though?

01:23:32.800 --> 01:23:33.600
No.

01:23:33.900 --> 01:23:37.900
We shouldn't be criminalizing people for saying things that are true.

01:23:37.900 --> 01:23:43.900
Okay? It's insane. It's insane and it's communist and it's wicked and it's evil.

01:23:43.900 --> 01:23:49.900
Now this is what people say, well I know that God mocks people

01:23:49.900 --> 01:23:53.900
and I know that Elijah mocked the prophets of Baal.

01:23:54.400 --> 01:24:02.200
And I know that we have countless examples of ridicule and mocking towards unsaved false prophets or done by God,

01:24:02.200 --> 01:24:08.400
but we should never, never mock a brother in Christ.

01:24:08.400 --> 01:24:11.000
We should never mock someone that's not a reprobate.

01:24:11.000 --> 01:24:12.600
Well, is that true biblically?

01:24:12.600 --> 01:24:14.100
Let's answer the question, alright?

01:24:14.600 --> 01:24:19.600
Job talks about himself, what he used to be like before he had his calamity.

01:24:19.600 --> 01:24:21.200
Look at Job 29 verse 8.

01:24:21.200 --> 01:24:26.900
The young men saw me and hid themselves, and the aged arose and stood up.

01:24:26.900 --> 01:24:32.200
The princes refrained talking and laid their hand on their mouth.

01:24:32.200 --> 01:24:37.300
The nobles held their peace and their tongue cleaved to the roof of their mouth.

01:24:38.500 --> 01:24:41.980
Now, again, I'm not going to explain old Job, but let me explain something to you.

01:24:41.980 --> 01:24:49.180
What he's saying is his opinion and his reputation and status in society was so high

01:24:49.180 --> 01:24:53.660
that people were covering their mouth at the things that Job would say or do.

01:24:53.660 --> 01:24:54.980
That's what the Bible is saying.

01:24:54.980 --> 01:24:56.060
The princes would refrain.

01:24:56.060 --> 01:24:59.140
People would stop talking in presence of Job.

01:24:59.140 --> 01:25:04.660
People would cover their mouth in shame for what they said in the presence of Job.

01:25:04.660 --> 01:25:05.340
Okay?

01:25:05.800 --> 01:25:11.880
Look at verse 17, and I break the jaws of the wicked and pluck the spoil out of his teeth.

01:25:11.880 --> 01:25:16.680
He's saying he was shutting up the wicked people, he was shutting people down,

01:25:16.680 --> 01:25:19.080
people are shutting their stupid mouth because of Job.

01:25:19.880 --> 01:25:26.920
Look at verse 21, unto me men gave ear and waited and kept silence at my counsel,

01:25:26.920 --> 01:25:29.720
meaning he walks into a room, everybody shuts up.

01:25:30.440 --> 01:25:32.200
People are embarrassed for whatever they said.

01:25:32.900 --> 01:25:36.300
He's breaking the all the stupid things the wicked people are saying.

01:25:36.300 --> 01:25:40.400
He's breaking their jaws, meaning he's making it where they can't talk anymore.

01:25:40.400 --> 01:25:42.100
And this is metaphorically.

01:25:42.100 --> 01:25:46.000
It's not literally. He's not going around just crushing everybody's skull.

01:25:46.000 --> 01:25:52.700
OK, he's just saying he commands so much wisdom and he would make people look so stupid

01:25:52.700 --> 01:25:57.300
for the things that they would say that they would end up just not talking again

01:25:57.300 --> 01:25:59.500
and they would just be basically ruined.

01:25:59.700 --> 01:26:01.900
They would just be completely destroyed.

01:26:01.900 --> 01:26:02.700
Okay?

01:26:02.700 --> 01:26:04.400
You're destroying them.

01:26:04.400 --> 01:26:06.100
How did he destroy them?

01:26:06.100 --> 01:26:10.500
It says, after my words, they spake not again.

01:26:10.500 --> 01:26:12.400
And my speech dropped upon them.

01:26:12.400 --> 01:26:17.500
He's, he's destroying the mouths of the wicked with what?

01:26:17.500 --> 01:26:18.900
With his words.

01:26:18.900 --> 01:26:19.700
All right?

01:26:19.700 --> 01:26:20.500
And...

01:26:21.000 --> 01:26:22.400
Let's read a little bit more.

01:26:22.400 --> 01:26:25.040
And they waited for me as for the rain,

01:26:25.040 --> 01:26:27.680
and they opened their mouth wide as for the latter rain.

01:26:27.680 --> 01:26:32.000
If I laughed on them, they believed it not.

01:26:32.000 --> 01:26:35.360
And the light of my countenance, they cast not down.

01:26:35.360 --> 01:26:38.960
He's saying if he just made a face at what they said,

01:26:38.960 --> 01:26:40.520
they would change.

01:26:40.520 --> 01:26:44.040
And if he laughed at them, if he's joking,

01:26:44.040 --> 01:26:46.720
if he makes a joke at their expense,

01:26:47.000 --> 01:26:49.440
They would just immediately change their belief.

01:26:49.440 --> 01:26:51.320
It's like, oh, I believe the earth is flat.

01:26:51.320 --> 01:26:53.120
Ha ha, you're an idiot.

01:26:53.120 --> 01:26:56.200
And then they would just be like, I'm never going to talk again.

01:26:56.200 --> 01:26:59.080
They'd be like, oh.

01:26:59.080 --> 01:27:00.400
And he's destroying them.

01:27:00.400 --> 01:27:03.160
And look, I've heard preachers and pastors get up and say,

01:27:03.160 --> 01:27:08.400
oh, there's people out there trying to destroy us with memes.

01:27:08.400 --> 01:27:12.120
And I'm like, OK, well, the only way you can be destroyed by memes

01:27:12.120 --> 01:27:13.600
is if what they're saying is true.

01:27:13.600 --> 01:27:14.100
Yes.

01:27:14.400 --> 01:27:17.200
Hey, you know who that was like that?

01:27:17.200 --> 01:27:20.960
Job, one of the smartest and wisest people on the planet.

01:27:20.960 --> 01:27:22.520
And let me just tell you something,

01:27:22.520 --> 01:27:24.960
there's something to go with the wisdom of a person

01:27:24.960 --> 01:27:26.840
and their meme ability.

01:27:28.840 --> 01:27:30.360
I'm just telling you,

01:27:30.360 --> 01:27:33.040
people that don't like the truth cannot meme at all.

01:27:34.080 --> 01:27:36.280
It's like the more wisdom and the more truth you have,

01:27:36.280 --> 01:27:37.520
the better you are at meming.

01:27:37.520 --> 01:27:39.160
It's not even really a skill,

01:27:39.160 --> 01:27:41.760
it's just about having truth and wisdom.

01:27:42.300 --> 01:27:45.740
And so it's like, who's like one of the most savage memers in the world?

01:27:45.740 --> 01:27:50.620
It'd be someone that's really smart, that really loves the truth, and has a lot of wisdom.

01:27:51.180 --> 01:27:53.100
I don't know, how about like Pastor Stephen Anderson?

01:27:54.220 --> 01:27:59.180
He has some savage memes, man. I'm just telling you, he is great at memeing.

01:28:00.620 --> 01:28:03.820
And it's like, if he is destroying your church with a meme,

01:28:04.780 --> 01:28:08.380
let me tell you something. The reason why you're being destroyed is because you lied.

01:28:09.000 --> 01:28:11.800
The reason you got destroyed is because you did something stupid,

01:28:11.800 --> 01:28:15.000
because you had bad actions or bad heresy.

01:28:15.000 --> 01:28:18.600
Look, if someone gets up and makes lies about you in a meme,

01:28:18.600 --> 01:28:20.200
it doesn't work.

01:28:20.200 --> 01:28:22.900
The left and the Democrats, they make memes.

01:28:22.900 --> 01:28:25.800
They have entire groups called the Onion,

01:28:25.800 --> 01:28:30.800
designed to make up memes and jokes about conservatives.

01:28:30.800 --> 01:28:33.400
But nobody cares because they're not true!

01:28:33.400 --> 01:28:36.500
No one finds them funny because they're not true!

01:28:36.700 --> 01:28:39.500
You know why people like memes? Because they're true!

01:28:40.700 --> 01:28:46.300
And look, there's nothing wrong with making fun of unrepentant heresy

01:28:46.300 --> 01:28:49.300
and unrepentant actions in the public discourse.

01:28:50.900 --> 01:28:53.140
What's the goal? To get them to change.

01:28:53.140 --> 01:28:55.540
To realize they were stupid. For them to cover their mouth.

01:28:55.540 --> 01:28:57.620
For them to get right on that doctrine.

01:28:57.620 --> 01:29:00.580
And look, we should make fun of bad ideas. Why?

01:29:00.580 --> 01:29:04.420
It's healthy for our society. It's healthy for everyone.

01:29:04.420 --> 01:29:06.260
If we can have the good doctrine.

01:29:06.260 --> 01:29:08.260
That's why it's good to make fun of these things.

01:29:08.260 --> 01:29:11.060
Why is it that the Democrats and the government hate memes?

01:29:11.860 --> 01:29:14.660
And then disgruntled ex-NYP pastors hate memes?

01:29:15.000 --> 01:29:17.560
It's because neither side wants to be corrected with the truth.

01:29:17.560 --> 01:29:18.800
It's that simple.

01:29:18.800 --> 01:29:20.880
It's the exact same spirit.

01:29:20.880 --> 01:29:24.360
Why is it that the communists outlaw and make it illegal

01:29:24.360 --> 01:29:27.240
to meme and to make jokes and do these things?

01:29:27.240 --> 01:29:29.480
Is it because communism is right?

01:29:29.480 --> 01:29:31.880
No, it's because communism is with Satan.

01:29:31.880 --> 01:29:32.880
And they hate these things.

01:29:32.880 --> 01:29:34.080
And of course, who does God mock?

01:29:34.080 --> 01:29:35.000
He mocks Satan.

01:29:35.000 --> 01:29:36.280
He mocks his fool.

01:29:36.280 --> 01:29:40.400
He makes fun of all the fools and all the idiots.

01:29:40.800 --> 01:29:48.800
Like, I'm supposed to believe that God is the only person in the universe that gets to laugh at the stupidity of this world.

01:29:48.800 --> 01:29:54.000
Like, he gets to mock, he gets to ridicule, he gets to laugh at all the insanity in this world.

01:29:54.000 --> 01:29:59.000
But all of us, we're supposed to over here just be like, I'm not, that's not funny.

01:29:59.000 --> 01:30:02.000
No, I would never laugh at such a thing.

01:30:02.000 --> 01:30:04.700
You know, you're just so much more pious than God.

01:30:04.700 --> 01:30:06.700
You're so more righteous than God.

01:30:06.700 --> 01:30:08.100
Right? No.

01:30:08.500 --> 01:30:12.680
It's just funny when someone does something stupid or says something stupid. It's funny

01:30:13.260 --> 01:30:19.700
You can't help but laugh. That's the whole point laughter isn't laughter basically and it's like a

01:30:20.580 --> 01:30:22.420
involuntary response

01:30:22.420 --> 01:30:25.720
And when people try to laugh it sounds goofy

01:30:26.420 --> 01:30:29.000
Like a forced laugh is way different

01:30:29.000 --> 01:30:34.180
We all know the difference between a forced laugh and a real laugh and what's a real laugh. You can't even control it

01:30:34.700 --> 01:30:41.700
So now I'm supposed to believe God is mad at you for the involuntary response of laughter to something that's true.

01:30:42.700 --> 01:30:43.700
How dare you?

01:30:43.700 --> 01:30:46.700
You know what's ruining America? Memes that are true.

01:30:47.700 --> 01:30:48.700
Right?

01:30:48.900 --> 01:30:52.900
It's not all the heresy and false doctrine and wickedness is abounding in America.

01:30:52.900 --> 01:30:57.400
It's people making true statements in a clever and funny way.

01:30:57.400 --> 01:30:59.400
That's destroying America.

01:30:59.400 --> 01:31:01.400
You know what's destroying churches in America?

01:31:01.400 --> 01:31:04.700
It's not all the pedophiles and false doctrine and false Bible versions.

01:31:04.700 --> 01:31:06.700
It's memes that are true.

01:31:08.200 --> 01:31:09.700
You can't even make this stuff up, man.

01:31:12.100 --> 01:31:17.940
I have too much stuff to talk about, honestly, but I'm just going to skip to some more application,

01:31:17.940 --> 01:31:22.660
because you already know the point. Just shut up, alright? Shut up and laugh at the meme, okay?

01:31:22.660 --> 01:31:25.700
You didn't have a choice anyways because it was funny, alright?

01:31:27.060 --> 01:31:32.900
But, look, obviously if you're insulting somebody without a cause, that's sinful.

01:31:33.380 --> 01:31:37.380
Okay? So that's why I changed the difference from a meme to a mean.

01:31:37.800 --> 01:31:42.800
If you're just making someone, because they're blind, because they're blind, that's not really nice.

01:31:42.800 --> 01:31:46.300
It's not fair to just make fun of deaf people for just being deaf.

01:31:46.300 --> 01:31:48.300
And the Bible even like forbids it. It says,

01:31:48.300 --> 01:31:51.800
Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumbling block before the blind.

01:31:51.800 --> 01:31:56.800
Okay, so obviously if you're making fun of somebody with something they can't change,

01:31:56.800 --> 01:32:04.300
that's out of their control, or they've repented of, or asked for forgiveness of, or is private, that's not cool.

01:32:04.500 --> 01:32:10.340
Okay? But if you're making fun of somebody for a public, unrepentant heresy,

01:32:10.340 --> 01:32:16.420
a public, unrepentant bad action, then yeah, I say it's on the table.

01:32:16.980 --> 01:32:19.540
Now, should that be the only thing you do in your life?

01:32:19.540 --> 01:32:23.780
No. But can we all just cope with the insanity of our world a little bit

01:32:25.300 --> 01:32:27.620
and realize that the truth isn't going to really hurt you?

01:32:28.740 --> 01:32:31.300
The truth is not what's hurting you in this world. It's lies.

01:32:31.900 --> 01:32:38.200
You know, Jesus called the Pharisees fools, but, you know, this is what they'll say,

01:32:38.200 --> 01:32:39.900
Oh, Jesus called unsaved people fools.

01:32:39.900 --> 01:32:46.000
You know, in Luke 24, He said unto the two saved guys, Oh fools, and slow of heart to believe.

01:32:46.000 --> 01:32:52.100
Not only that, the Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians chapter 5, Thou fool.

01:32:52.100 --> 01:32:56.800
In Galatians chapter 3, 1, the Apostle Paul says, Oh, foolish Galatians.

01:32:57.400 --> 01:33:01.100
I should never call a brother a fool.

01:33:01.100 --> 01:33:03.240
Well, that's just not true.

01:33:03.240 --> 01:33:06.200
Jesus did, Paul did, the Bible does.

01:33:06.200 --> 01:33:08.500
Sometimes a saved person can be an idiot.

01:33:08.500 --> 01:33:09.880
I'm sorry.

01:33:09.880 --> 01:33:11.880
There's like whole churches of them, okay?

01:33:15.200 --> 01:33:18.500
Go to Proverbs 29, go to Proverbs 29.

01:33:18.500 --> 01:33:21.600
There's a whole other list of sins that I haven't even covered.

01:33:21.600 --> 01:33:25.300
This would be what I call an unjustified imprecation.

01:33:25.300 --> 01:33:31.700
The Bible brings up imprecatory prayers, wishing evil or harm upon people.

01:33:31.700 --> 01:33:34.000
But there is an unjustified imprecation.

01:33:34.000 --> 01:33:34.800
Okay.

01:33:34.800 --> 01:33:36.800
What is an unjustified imprecation?

01:33:36.800 --> 01:33:42.600
When the disciples want to smoke the Samaritans for not giving them room and board.

01:33:43.400 --> 01:33:50.280
Okay, that's different than them actively trying to destroy their ministry and attacking God

01:33:50.560 --> 01:33:55.920
there's a difference between somebody not putting you up for the night or not being friendly and

01:33:56.080 --> 01:34:03.400
You wishing for them to die and someone actively trying to assault you and attack you and hurt your family and your church and the things

01:34:03.400 --> 01:34:05.400
Of God, that's a way different group of people

01:34:06.000 --> 01:34:10.240
And it's so funny that you bring up imprecatory wishes on someone and they're like,

01:34:10.240 --> 01:34:13.040
ah, how dare you, you don't know what spirit you are of.

01:34:13.040 --> 01:34:14.800
It's like, I know what spirit you're of.

01:34:14.800 --> 01:34:16.400
It's pretty queer if you ask me.

01:34:18.000 --> 01:34:21.280
But look, the Bible does not forbid imprecatory prayers

01:34:22.320 --> 01:34:24.720
towards just a specific group.

01:34:24.720 --> 01:34:28.960
It doesn't say you can make an imprecation against enemies of God

01:34:28.960 --> 01:34:30.800
only if they meet this criterion.

01:34:31.400 --> 01:34:37.600
Okay, King Saul is attacking David and he's considered an enemy of God and is saved.

01:34:37.600 --> 01:34:41.200
And hey, David is saying, hey, I hope the Lord avenges me of you.

01:34:41.200 --> 01:34:43.200
Okay, that's an imprecation. Sorry.

01:34:43.200 --> 01:34:45.400
Sorry if you don't like that application.

01:34:45.400 --> 01:34:47.400
That's why the Psalms are so generic.

01:34:47.400 --> 01:34:50.000
I mean, don't you think the Psalms would be a little bit more careful

01:34:50.000 --> 01:34:55.800
if you could never pray an imprecation against someone that's lost or of say brother in theory?

01:34:55.800 --> 01:34:56.800
It's like, look, it's just...

01:34:57.200 --> 01:35:00.200
You can ask God to avenge you of your enemies, period.

01:35:00.200 --> 01:35:01.000
Okay?

01:35:01.000 --> 01:35:05.000
Now again, should we still try to love our enemies that do us personal injury

01:35:05.000 --> 01:35:07.700
and are not necessarily like evil reprobates?

01:35:07.700 --> 01:35:08.600
Yeah, I get it.

01:35:08.600 --> 01:35:09.300
Okay?

01:35:09.300 --> 01:35:12.000
And I do do that on a regular basis.

01:35:12.000 --> 01:35:16.300
I've gone to many of the protesters and tried to give them the gospel at our church.

01:35:16.700 --> 01:35:22.460
But then the ones that are like, I'm a former Baptist pastor and I hate Jesus and bleep, bleep, bleep, and blah, blah, blah.

01:35:22.460 --> 01:35:26.860
Yeah, after a while it's like, okay, my prayer for you is for you to die and go to hell.

01:35:26.860 --> 01:35:27.660
Okay.

01:35:27.660 --> 01:35:30.940
It's like there's been people that have left our church and lied and whatever,

01:35:30.940 --> 01:35:35.660
and I've just said, hey, God, just bless that person anyways, or I hope that things go well for them.

01:35:35.660 --> 01:35:36.300
Okay.

01:35:37.100 --> 01:35:43.100
But there's some people that are actively attacking our church on a regular basis and trying to destroy the ministry and whatever.

01:35:43.100 --> 01:35:45.900
And I don't know if they're saved or not. I don't really give a rip.

01:35:45.900 --> 01:35:53.100
I'm going to pray to God and say, hey, God, please avenge me of this person that's constantly assaulting the work of God.

01:35:53.100 --> 01:35:59.500
OK, there's a difference between trying to shut down soul winning and try just not offering me a place to stay.

01:35:59.500 --> 01:36:04.100
OK, I'm not praying implications against Airbnb because I've been banned.

01:36:05.900 --> 01:36:09.100
Yeah, Airbnb, I get the disciples.

01:36:09.100 --> 01:36:14.700
I'm kind of like, smoke them, you know, but I didn't, I'm not praying that and I'm not saying that.

01:36:14.700 --> 01:36:15.200
But you know what?

01:36:15.200 --> 01:36:19.500
The people that are trying to shut down our church and destroy soul winning and destroy people's lives,

01:36:19.500 --> 01:36:23.400
you better believe that I pray that God would avenge us of those people.

01:36:23.400 --> 01:36:26.100
Yes, I would pray that and I do pray that.

01:36:26.100 --> 01:36:29.700
Okay, and I'm not mad about that, but I do think unjustified imprecations.

01:36:29.700 --> 01:36:30.100
Yes.

01:36:30.100 --> 01:36:30.600
Okay.

01:36:31.200 --> 01:36:41.200
But I want to warn about communism, and of course communism is a counter-revolutionary hate speech incorrect tone police.

01:36:41.200 --> 01:36:43.200
I hate this hate speech stuff.

01:36:43.200 --> 01:36:45.200
And why would pastors embrace it?

01:36:45.200 --> 01:36:47.200
Why are pastors embracing this quote hate speech?

01:36:47.200 --> 01:36:51.200
Whatever I determine as hate speech is now railing for them,

01:36:51.200 --> 01:36:56.200
and they just accuse everybody of just railing, so that they can what? Cover up the fact that they're a railer.

01:36:56.800 --> 01:37:01.800
Because here's the thing, they say that we change the definition of railing so that we can rail.

01:37:01.800 --> 01:37:08.800
But it's like, why would I change the definition of railing to lying so that I could lie?

01:37:08.800 --> 01:37:21.800
It's just like, what? But here's the thing, they lied and are railers, so they change the definition of railing so that everyone's a railer to disguise the fact that there's some people not lying and there's some people lying.

01:37:22.600 --> 01:37:23.960
Because we're all mean.

01:37:23.960 --> 01:37:26.000
They're like, oh, you're just disguising it to be mean.

01:37:26.000 --> 01:37:27.720
We're all mean, folks.

01:37:27.720 --> 01:37:29.920
There is someone in this world you don't like.

01:37:29.920 --> 01:37:31.400
There's someone that you're mean about.

01:37:31.400 --> 01:37:33.280
There's someone you say negative things about.

01:37:33.280 --> 01:37:35.520
And if that's the definition, well, who can stand?

01:37:35.520 --> 01:37:36.440
You know?

01:37:36.440 --> 01:37:37.280
But that's stupid.

01:37:37.280 --> 01:37:39.080
It's stupid to just make everybody a railer.

01:37:39.080 --> 01:37:42.080
That's like when I say, hey, murders deserve the death penalty.

01:37:42.080 --> 01:37:43.720
Well, the Bible says for the wages of sin is death.

01:37:43.720 --> 01:37:44.900
We all deserve death.

01:37:45.300 --> 01:37:52.300
No, no, now you're minimizing that sin of murder to try and make it seem like it's not a big deal anymore

01:37:52.300 --> 01:37:54.300
by misapplying the Bible.

01:37:54.300 --> 01:37:59.300
In the same way that people that lie publicly get called out for railing,

01:37:59.300 --> 01:38:04.300
so they change everything into railing to just anything negative so that now everybody's a railer.

01:38:04.300 --> 01:38:07.300
And in fact, according to these people, I'm the king of it. Okay?

01:38:07.800 --> 01:38:12.080
Yes. You know, the people that defect from our movement or our friends or whatever

01:38:12.080 --> 01:38:14.980
always change their definition on railing, okay?

01:38:14.980 --> 01:38:19.760
It started with Tommy McMurtry and Manley Perry changing their definition.

01:38:19.760 --> 01:38:23.760
Then it just slowly... everybody that goes to their circle now all just believes it, okay?

01:38:23.760 --> 01:38:28.440
Jason Robinson believes that, and he said, I take the crown for railing.

01:38:28.440 --> 01:38:31.720
And at first I'm thinking like, man, that's kind of an insult.

01:38:31.720 --> 01:38:34.200
Because who would want to be the person that's known as the biggest liar?

01:38:34.700 --> 01:38:38.140
But then I realized they don't think that railing is lying.

01:38:38.140 --> 01:38:41.040
You know what their definition of railing is?

01:38:41.040 --> 01:38:42.040
Hard preaching.

01:38:42.040 --> 01:38:44.480
And I was like, okay, well, I'll take the crown for hard preaching.

01:38:44.480 --> 01:38:45.480
No problem.

01:38:45.480 --> 01:38:45.980
I like that.

01:38:46.500 --> 01:38:48.900
It's actually not an insult, it's a compliment, okay?

01:38:48.900 --> 01:38:53.500
Hey, here's a guy that'll tell you the harsh truth whether you like it or not.

01:38:53.500 --> 01:38:54.500
Isn't that the whole point?

01:38:54.500 --> 01:38:59.500
I mean, how can you have hard preaching if you can't say things that are true, that are

01:38:59.500 --> 01:39:01.500
negative, that are going to harshly scold?

01:39:01.500 --> 01:39:03.500
What's the difference between rebuke and railing to these people?

01:39:03.500 --> 01:39:04.500
And you know what?

01:39:04.500 --> 01:39:09.500
They create these conflations of definitions to where they teach false doctrine now.

01:39:11.000 --> 01:39:15.400
We want to keep their separate lanes. Rebuke true, railing false.

01:39:15.400 --> 01:39:17.900
Okay? We want to keep these...

01:39:17.900 --> 01:39:20.700
And we don't want to get to the point where we have hate speech laws.

01:39:20.700 --> 01:39:27.700
You know, in the UK, it's in 1979, they made criminal law...

01:39:27.700 --> 01:39:30.000
I'm sorry, I'm misquoting the country.

01:39:30.000 --> 01:39:35.400
In China, okay, China, Communist China, in 1979, they made a law in Article 102...

01:39:35.800 --> 01:39:38.400
that writing, distributing, or speaking material

01:39:38.400 --> 01:39:41.800
that incited the overthrow of the dictatorship

01:39:41.800 --> 01:39:43.600
of the proletariat

01:39:43.600 --> 01:39:48.000
or, quote, defamed the socialist system was illegal.

01:39:48.000 --> 01:39:50.100
So, obviously, the first part, you know,

01:39:50.100 --> 01:39:52.300
you could see a little bit of an argument for,

01:39:52.300 --> 01:39:53.400
but just any defaming.

01:39:53.400 --> 01:39:55.400
So if you just say anything negative about socialism,

01:39:55.400 --> 01:39:56.400
it's a crime.

01:39:56.400 --> 01:39:58.000
Wow.

01:39:58.000 --> 01:39:59.400
And look, if you...

01:39:59.400 --> 01:40:02.200
Even if you talk to people that are from China and America,

01:40:02.200 --> 01:40:03.600
they still won't do it.

01:40:03.700 --> 01:40:07.900
Because if word gets back, their whole families will be persecuted for this.

01:40:07.900 --> 01:40:09.900
They'll be criminalized for this kind of stuff.

01:40:09.900 --> 01:40:14.900
So that's why many Chinese people will never say anything negative about socialism.

01:40:14.900 --> 01:40:18.900
You can't even say it. You can't even say it. It's just like, no talking about it.

01:40:18.900 --> 01:40:23.700
Yeah, because the problem is criticizing socialism, not socialism.

01:40:23.700 --> 01:40:27.900
Socialism is not a problem. Criticizing socialism. It's now a crime.

01:40:29.000 --> 01:40:34.720
Not only this, many countries like Canada, they created a law,

01:40:34.720 --> 01:40:36.920
Criminal Code Section 319,

01:40:36.920 --> 01:40:42.600
willful promoting hatred against an identifiable group, is a crime.

01:40:42.600 --> 01:40:47.640
It says there's also a provision if you're willfully promoting anti-Semitism

01:40:47.640 --> 01:40:51.960
by condoning, denying, or just downplaying the Holocaust.

01:40:52.300 --> 01:40:55.300
So downplaying the Holocaust is a crime in Canada.

01:40:55.300 --> 01:41:00.300
I've heard that quoting Leviticus 20 13 is a crime in Canada.

01:41:00.300 --> 01:41:04.300
You're just so mean to certain identifiable groups.

01:41:04.300 --> 01:41:14.300
John Donne was arrested for preaching the biblical definition of marriage and sexuality in 2020.

01:41:14.900 --> 01:41:16.240
This is in the UK.

01:41:16.240 --> 01:41:21.140
John Craven in Manchester was arrested for quoting the Bible's teaching on homosexuality

01:41:21.140 --> 01:41:23.420
when two teenagers asked him about it.

01:41:23.420 --> 01:41:28.300
He was held for 15 hours without food or water.

01:41:28.300 --> 01:41:35.780
Pastor Steve Mailey was also recently charged for, quote, inciting religious hatred in the

01:41:35.780 --> 01:41:39.980
UK and public order offenses after preaching the gospel.

01:41:39.980 --> 01:41:40.000
you

01:41:40.500 --> 01:41:43.060
and making critical comments about Islam

01:41:43.060 --> 01:41:45.540
and transgender ideology.

01:41:45.540 --> 01:41:48.100
Is that where we're going to head?

01:41:48.100 --> 01:41:50.740
Oh, you were too mean to Islam.

01:41:50.740 --> 01:41:52.660
You were too mean to Muslims.

01:41:52.660 --> 01:41:55.220
So now it's railing. You're a railer.

01:41:55.220 --> 01:41:58.740
So now we're going to criminalize it.

01:41:58.740 --> 01:42:01.780
Look, this is the same satanic agenda

01:42:01.780 --> 01:42:05.860
to shut down what the Bible says and to shut down truth.

01:42:06.200 --> 01:42:09.400
We don't want pastors getting up and teaching this nonsense.

01:42:10.520 --> 01:42:15.760
The Public Order Act of 1986 criminalizes stirring up racial hatred

01:42:16.320 --> 01:42:18.520
and stirring up religious hatred.

01:42:19.320 --> 01:42:22.600
So you can't be a racist and you can't say anything negative about religion,

01:42:23.000 --> 01:42:26.360
which reminds me of a recent case about Shiloh Hendrix.

01:42:26.400 --> 01:42:29.840
OK, some white lady who.

01:42:30.200 --> 01:42:35.460
was at a park, and again, forgive me for my crude summarization, okay?

01:42:35.460 --> 01:42:39.300
Crude summarization, there's a lady at a park, I don't remember if it was a few years ago,

01:42:39.300 --> 01:42:43.020
some kid steals

01:42:43.020 --> 01:42:48.380
something out of her bag, like in her, she sees like a kid taking stuff out of her bag,

01:42:48.380 --> 01:42:53.380
okay? She chases down the kid and uses derogatory language towards it, okay?

01:42:54.500 --> 01:42:59.060
All right. He was a black kid and she used a bad word about him. Okay.

01:42:59.780 --> 01:43:05.060
Now again, I'm not approving of that behavior. I'm not saying that that was the right behavior,

01:43:05.060 --> 01:43:12.020
but is it a crime? Is it, is it really, should it be a crime? And here's the problem is that many

01:43:12.020 --> 01:43:16.660
people believe that's a crime. Now she was actually on trial.

01:43:17.200 --> 01:43:20.000
And she was, it was kind of like a kangaroo court,

01:43:20.000 --> 01:43:22.040
according to a lot of people's testimony,

01:43:22.040 --> 01:43:24.840
that it was ridiculous, the things that were going on in there.

01:43:24.840 --> 01:43:29.200
The jury found that what she did against this kid, not a crime.

01:43:29.200 --> 01:43:31.880
And again, the First Amendment would say that it's not a crime.

01:43:31.880 --> 01:43:33.640
But what's so funny is there's pastors today

01:43:33.640 --> 01:43:36.520
that would throw you out of church for this kind of stuff.

01:43:36.520 --> 01:43:38.600
And they would exercise discipline.

01:43:38.600 --> 01:43:43.520
It's like, how does the world accept or tolerate this kind of stuff?

01:43:44.000 --> 01:43:44.700
And they don't.

01:43:44.700 --> 01:43:47.700
Now she was given a guilty charge though,

01:43:47.700 --> 01:43:50.840
for saying the same thing to an adult man,

01:43:50.840 --> 01:43:52.600
who was there present as well.

01:43:52.600 --> 01:43:55.700
So basically she just said a bunch of obscenities

01:43:55.700 --> 01:43:58.600
and racist stuff towards this guy

01:43:58.600 --> 01:44:00.700
that was confronting her with a camera, okay?

01:44:00.700 --> 01:44:02.700
Confronting her with a phone or something.

01:44:02.700 --> 01:44:04.900
I think he was like a Somalian immigrant

01:44:04.900 --> 01:44:06.200
or something like this.

01:44:06.200 --> 01:44:08.700
And I think he's maybe even been guilty of rape,

01:44:08.700 --> 01:44:09.540
but you know.

01:44:10.000 --> 01:44:14.000
And I think he's gotten like over $300,000 donated to him for this incident.

01:44:14.000 --> 01:44:20.000
But they are found guilty. Now of course they're gonna appeal and hopefully they'll get thrown out because again,

01:44:20.000 --> 01:44:25.000
she didn't hurt him. She didn't like harm him. She just said mean things about him.

01:44:25.000 --> 01:44:29.000
Again, I'm not gonna sit here and say you should say mean things about people.

01:44:29.000 --> 01:44:32.800
You should use derogatory terms about people even when you're mad.

01:44:33.000 --> 01:44:34.600
But think about the context.

01:44:34.600 --> 01:44:37.720
She's involved and someone's stealing something from her,

01:44:37.720 --> 01:44:39.560
and she uses strong language.

01:44:39.560 --> 01:44:42.600
Isn't that kind of the one context that you would think someone might slip

01:44:42.600 --> 01:44:44.680
or say something kind of derogatory

01:44:45.320 --> 01:44:48.120
when they're in the middle of someone stealing something from them

01:44:48.120 --> 01:44:50.680
or attacking them or something like that?

01:44:51.320 --> 01:44:51.800
And you know what?

01:44:52.440 --> 01:44:53.800
Look, you know me.

01:44:54.000 --> 01:44:59.800
I'm not going to get super mad at people for using strong language in intense situations.

01:44:59.800 --> 01:45:00.300
Okay?

01:45:00.300 --> 01:45:03.000
Now again, am I saying you should use derogatory language?

01:45:03.000 --> 01:45:03.500
No.

01:45:03.800 --> 01:45:06.900
Am I justifying her use of this N-word?

01:45:06.900 --> 01:45:07.400
No.

01:45:07.400 --> 01:45:10.400
But am I saying that it should be criminalized?

01:45:10.400 --> 01:45:11.200
No!

01:45:11.600 --> 01:45:14.000
So you can fight, you can say, hey, is it wrong?

01:45:14.000 --> 01:45:14.500
Yes.

01:45:14.500 --> 01:45:15.600
Is it a crime?

01:45:15.600 --> 01:45:16.300
No.

01:45:16.700 --> 01:45:21.580
Okay, is it possible that someone out there has made a joke about a pastor

01:45:21.580 --> 01:45:24.940
or said something mean about a pastor and it was wrong?

01:45:24.940 --> 01:45:31.420
Yes. But if it was true, it wasn't railing.

01:45:31.420 --> 01:45:32.860
And you know what you should do as a pastor?

01:45:32.860 --> 01:45:35.180
If someone's saying something mean about you that's true,

01:45:35.180 --> 01:45:38.300
you should just take the correction and move on.

01:45:38.300 --> 01:45:42.540
I mean, look, it's frustrating when people can't take...

01:45:42.900 --> 01:45:45.300
legitimate criticism or true criticism.

01:45:45.300 --> 01:45:46.900
Look at Proverbs 29 verse 1.

01:45:46.900 --> 01:45:49.900
He that being often reproved hardened at his neck

01:45:49.900 --> 01:45:53.900
shall suddenly be destroyed and that without remedy.

01:45:53.900 --> 01:45:56.400
Look, if everyone's making fun of you

01:45:56.400 --> 01:45:58.700
and if everyone's making memes about you

01:45:58.700 --> 01:46:01.100
and everyone's criticizing what you're doing

01:46:01.100 --> 01:46:03.600
and it's all true, you know what you should do?

01:46:03.600 --> 01:46:04.900
Change!

01:46:04.900 --> 01:46:07.900
Instead of getting so sensitive and saying,

01:46:07.900 --> 01:46:09.200
hate speech.

01:46:09.900 --> 01:46:12.660
You know, that's not the way to handle this.

01:46:12.660 --> 01:46:13.980
It's change.

01:46:13.980 --> 01:46:15.140
It's get right.

01:46:15.140 --> 01:46:16.860
I don't care if they were, like look,

01:46:16.860 --> 01:46:19.340
instead of being so sensitive about what they said,

01:46:19.340 --> 01:46:20.500
why don't you just change?

01:46:20.500 --> 01:46:21.740
You know, that's what's annoying.

01:46:21.740 --> 01:46:22.940
People come visit our church,

01:46:22.940 --> 01:46:24.420
or your family or friends visit our church,

01:46:24.420 --> 01:46:25.860
listen to sermons online, and they're like,

01:46:25.860 --> 01:46:28.380
well, I agree with everything you said.

01:46:28.380 --> 01:46:30.580
I just don't like how he said it.

01:46:30.580 --> 01:46:31.420
You know what?

01:46:31.420 --> 01:46:33.900
I don't really care if you like how I said it.

01:46:33.900 --> 01:46:35.020
You know, sometimes I listen back,

01:46:35.020 --> 01:46:36.900
I don't even like how I said it, okay?

01:46:37.900 --> 01:46:42.700
But you know what? Most of the time, the reason I don't like the way I said it is because it's not as true as it could have possibly been.

01:46:42.700 --> 01:46:50.200
I maybe was a little bit too exaggerated, or maybe I didn't emphasize the point exactly how I wanted.

01:46:50.200 --> 01:46:53.700
But you know what? I'm usually not offended at how harsh I was.

01:46:54.400 --> 01:46:57.700
I just want the truth to be as true as possible.

01:46:58.300 --> 01:47:01.300
And we should just love the truth for the truth's sake.

01:47:01.300 --> 01:47:03.500
Okay, we need more truth in our society.

01:47:03.500 --> 01:47:05.500
And look, there's plenty of sins with the mouth.

01:47:05.500 --> 01:47:07.400
Okay, so I want to make it clear.

01:47:07.400 --> 01:47:09.900
We're not going to throw anybody out of church for railing,

01:47:09.900 --> 01:47:11.900
for telling something that's true.

01:47:11.900 --> 01:47:15.100
But that doesn't mean that everything you say is true is good.

01:47:15.100 --> 01:47:18.100
There's a lot of sins in the mouth and we should be very careful with that.

01:47:18.100 --> 01:47:22.100
And we shouldn't just spend our whole life making fun of people and being mean

01:47:22.100 --> 01:47:23.300
and insulting them.

01:47:23.300 --> 01:47:23.800
Okay?

01:47:24.300 --> 01:47:28.400
Now again, occasionally we should insult some people for really stupid opinions

01:47:28.400 --> 01:47:30.600
because we love them and we care about them and we want them to change.

01:47:30.600 --> 01:47:33.000
And he's like, how can I decide what's right or wrong?

01:47:33.000 --> 01:47:35.000
Well, is it public discourse?

01:47:35.000 --> 01:47:38.400
If by hearing this could they possibly change?

01:47:38.400 --> 01:47:39.700
Then it's probably safe.

01:47:40.000 --> 01:47:44.400
If they can't really change it, they've already repented of it, it's private information,

01:47:44.400 --> 01:47:46.800
you should refrain from that and not do that.

01:47:46.800 --> 01:47:55.400
And look, I've seen people online be mean, over the top, say things they shouldn't,

01:47:55.400 --> 01:47:57.000
and I thought, I don't like that.

01:47:57.000 --> 01:47:58.600
And you know what I just don't do?

01:47:58.600 --> 01:48:00.600
I just don't like it.

01:48:00.600 --> 01:48:03.400
I just don't hit the like button, okay?

01:48:03.400 --> 01:48:04.200
But you know what I don't do?

01:48:04.200 --> 01:48:05.600
I don't call them a railer.

01:48:06.400 --> 01:48:08.900
But if they're lying about people, then I'm like,

01:48:08.900 --> 01:48:10.500
hey, you're lying.

01:48:10.500 --> 01:48:12.000
Hey, that's slander.

01:48:12.000 --> 01:48:13.800
Hey, that's a false accusation.

01:48:13.800 --> 01:48:15.100
Hey, that's railing.

01:48:15.100 --> 01:48:16.100
You shouldn't do that.

01:48:16.100 --> 01:48:17.300
You know what?

01:48:17.300 --> 01:48:20.200
Praise God, our church has done really good on this in the last few years,

01:48:20.200 --> 01:48:24.000
and I have not seen railing from our church online like this.

01:48:24.000 --> 01:48:24.500
And you know what?

01:48:24.500 --> 01:48:27.300
There are other churches where they rail all the time.

01:48:28.200 --> 01:48:32.200
In fact, it was this morning, there was a guy that used to go to our church,

01:48:32.200 --> 01:48:38.200
Connor Gartner, it was Jason Gartner's son, the Gartner family.

01:48:38.200 --> 01:48:41.200
Who remembers this family? Does anybody remember them going to church with us?

01:48:41.200 --> 01:48:46.200
He went online and said, oh, you guys throw out everybody for railing.

01:48:46.200 --> 01:48:51.200
Even if you disagree with Pastor Shelley, throw him out for railing.

01:48:51.200 --> 01:48:54.200
Now, I don't need to get a raise of hands of who in here disagrees with me on something,

01:48:54.200 --> 01:48:56.200
because it's everyone.

01:48:56.500 --> 01:48:57.500
Silly.

01:48:57.500 --> 01:49:01.860
But he's like, you threw out the Gartner family for railing over a minor disagreement.

01:49:01.860 --> 01:49:06.100
Now, who remembers me publicly getting up and saying that they were kicked out of a

01:49:06.100 --> 01:49:07.100
railing?

01:49:07.100 --> 01:49:08.100
Oh yeah, zero people.

01:49:08.100 --> 01:49:09.100
You know why?

01:49:09.100 --> 01:49:10.100
Because it never happened.

01:49:10.100 --> 01:49:12.180
This is what did happen.

01:49:12.180 --> 01:49:15.460
I said, hey, I've been thinking we should move to the church.

01:49:15.460 --> 01:49:19.260
I had a meeting with the men of the church and I said, I'm thinking about moving about

01:49:19.260 --> 01:49:20.980
20 minutes away potentially.

01:49:21.400 --> 01:49:24.680
kind of more central to kind of even out the commute.

01:49:24.680 --> 01:49:26.760
And this is a place that I'm looking into.

01:49:26.760 --> 01:49:28.040
I don't even know if it's going to work out.

01:49:28.040 --> 01:49:30.120
I'm just saying I have an intent to try and move the church

01:49:30.120 --> 01:49:31.880
to a little bit more central location.

01:49:31.880 --> 01:49:35.480
And I'm willing to consider 15, 20, 25 minute drive.

01:49:35.480 --> 01:49:37.000
Who was even there at that meeting?

01:49:37.000 --> 01:49:38.600
Isn't that what I basically said?

01:49:38.600 --> 01:49:40.360
And I pursued it and didn't even pan out.

01:49:40.360 --> 01:49:42.120
It was like a year later that we ended up moving

01:49:42.120 --> 01:49:43.960
a little bit more central.

01:49:43.960 --> 01:49:47.240
The guy was so mad at the idea of me moving the church.

01:49:47.900 --> 01:49:51.900
that he rage quits and moves four hours away to go to Manly Perry's church.

01:49:51.900 --> 01:49:56.100
Now explain to me

01:49:56.100 --> 01:49:59.420
how it makes sense that you're mad at me for moving the church

01:49:59.420 --> 01:50:03.740
20 minutes away when you're willing to move four hours away to go to Manly

01:50:03.740 --> 01:50:04.660
Perry's church.

01:50:04.660 --> 01:50:09.660
And look, I have a detailed spreadsheet.

01:50:09.800 --> 01:50:12.680
that has everybody that's visited our church for a meaningful period of time,

01:50:12.680 --> 01:50:14.040
everybody was a member of our church,

01:50:14.040 --> 01:50:16.440
and I have all the people that are on the kicked out list.

01:50:17.640 --> 01:50:20.840
Brother Fer can witness this, Google history can witness this.

01:50:20.840 --> 01:50:23.880
You know what? Family's name's never been on the kicked out list.

01:50:23.880 --> 01:50:25.880
The Gartner family never even been there.

01:50:26.840 --> 01:50:29.960
But again, this is what the liars and the railers love to do.

01:50:29.960 --> 01:50:34.200
Oh, you just throw people out for railing or disagreeing with you or whatever.

01:50:34.200 --> 01:50:34.920
Never happened.

01:50:35.600 --> 01:50:37.900
Now again, if Cardinal Gartner tried to come to our church,

01:50:37.900 --> 01:50:39.900
he would be thrown out physically,

01:50:39.900 --> 01:50:41.860
because the guy is a false prophet.

01:50:41.860 --> 01:50:44.200
The guy teaches a false gospel,

01:50:44.200 --> 01:50:48.540
a hardcore repent of your sins, Calvinist type gospel.

01:50:48.540 --> 01:50:50.300
He's a false prophet.

01:50:50.300 --> 01:50:52.740
And look, he's a pastor of a church with zero kids.

01:50:53.400 --> 01:50:58.200
He took over some like liberal denomination, changed it into a Calvinist church,

01:50:58.200 --> 01:51:02.200
some kind of reformed church or whatever, and then is it a shocker that the guy that teaches

01:51:02.200 --> 01:51:08.760
a false gospel is then going to rail on me and then call me a railer? Shocking.

01:51:09.500 --> 01:51:15.300
When again, it's just like, I had very limited interactions with this family for the short time they came to our church,

01:51:15.300 --> 01:51:17.900
and I did only nice things or good things to these people.

01:51:17.900 --> 01:51:23.100
The worst thing I did was mention how I might move the church away 20 minutes away.

01:51:23.100 --> 01:51:25.300
That's the worst thing I did to these people.

01:51:25.300 --> 01:51:26.700
Now you're a railer.

01:51:26.700 --> 01:51:31.300
And it's like, oh, I guess going to Manly Perry's church for years did a wonder for this family, right?

01:51:31.300 --> 01:51:35.300
Now their son's a false prophet repenting your sins, you know, pastor.

01:51:35.300 --> 01:51:36.100
Okay.

01:51:37.100 --> 01:51:41.020
The guy that hides all of his sermons. It's just like what are you hiding?

01:51:41.700 --> 01:51:44.960
You know why he's hiding because we call him out for all his heresy and make fun of it

01:51:46.200 --> 01:51:48.100
Now they're railers

01:51:48.100 --> 01:51:49.520
No

01:51:49.520 --> 01:51:53.420
We just like the truth and we hate heresy. We hate lies and we like to call it out

01:51:53.420 --> 01:51:55.220
We like to make fun of false prophets

01:51:55.220 --> 01:51:59.820
That's why false prophets are afraid of you listening to their preaching because you're gonna catch them in their words

01:52:00.160 --> 01:52:03.820
Okay, and look there was a recent sermon by pastor David Burson's

01:52:04.400 --> 01:52:09.400
criticizing the new IFB on our definition of railing and acting like we don't know what railing is and that we're just

01:52:09.800 --> 01:52:12.500
forcing people to believe railing and whatever. It's like

01:52:13.400 --> 01:52:18.400
It's so funny that they change their definition to just saying negative things or making memes

01:52:18.920 --> 01:52:21.920
while they literally have Tommy McMurtry and

01:52:22.400 --> 01:52:26.120
Jason Robinson going to their churches and preaching for them and hanging out with them

01:52:26.120 --> 01:52:30.300
It's like Tommy McMurtry makes a meme almost every day

01:52:31.000 --> 01:52:33.660
making fun of old Ivy preachers.

01:52:33.660 --> 01:52:38.080
Almost every single day, if not every day, some weeks,

01:52:38.080 --> 01:52:41.220
making fun of them, ridiculing them over the top,

01:52:41.220 --> 01:52:43.800
let alone what he says about us.

01:52:43.800 --> 01:52:46.880
And then it's like, oh, I don't want to eat with a railer,

01:52:46.880 --> 01:52:49.920
wink, wink, nod, nod, the hate speech I don't like,

01:52:49.920 --> 01:52:52.220
but I love the hate speech of my friends.

01:52:52.220 --> 01:52:54.380
I love the hate speech of all these people.

01:52:54.380 --> 01:52:55.800
Look, this is where this doctrine goes.

01:52:55.800 --> 01:52:57.320
It's always hypocrisy.

01:52:58.200 --> 01:53:01.000
It's always lies. And look, I don't want you to sit here.

01:53:01.000 --> 01:53:04.600
It's not fair for these people to just take us to task and lie about us

01:53:04.600 --> 01:53:07.600
and just make whatever they want, say whatever they want.

01:53:07.600 --> 01:53:10.600
Because, you know, these guys forbid you from going to our churches.

01:53:10.600 --> 01:53:13.800
I've never forbid anybody from going to these people's churches.

01:53:13.800 --> 01:53:17.400
And I know people in our church will literally go to their church, visit their church.

01:53:17.700 --> 01:53:19.460
and not him, other people's churches,

01:53:19.460 --> 01:53:20.960
and I don't say anything about it,

01:53:20.960 --> 01:53:22.660
I don't make a big deal about it, or whatever.

01:53:22.660 --> 01:53:26.900
But I think it's fair that if you're gonna go listen to him lie about us

01:53:26.900 --> 01:53:28.460
and actually rail on us,

01:53:28.460 --> 01:53:31.540
that I can defend myself from lies and railing.

01:53:31.540 --> 01:53:32.960
Okay?

01:53:32.960 --> 01:53:36.860
And yes, he's lying about us and has a bad definition of railing,

01:53:36.860 --> 01:53:40.360
and I would love to see him apply it to his new best friend, Tommy McMurtry.

01:53:41.900 --> 01:53:46.460
The guy, according to their definition, biggest railer.

01:53:46.460 --> 01:53:49.180
According to our definition, biggest railer.

01:53:49.180 --> 01:53:50.020
Okay?

01:53:50.900 --> 01:53:54.220
Every way you slice it, he's a railer.

01:53:54.220 --> 01:53:55.060
Okay?

01:53:55.060 --> 01:53:57.020
So how in the world could anybody be buddies with?

01:53:57.020 --> 01:53:57.860
Well, isn't it funny?

01:53:57.860 --> 01:54:00.300
He's the one that taught them this new definition too.

01:54:01.700 --> 01:54:03.400
It's not the Bible that taught these people.

01:54:03.400 --> 01:54:05.700
And of course, then Pastor David Bursons got up

01:54:05.700 --> 01:54:09.200
and he repeated what the false witnesses said about Jesus and said it was true.

01:54:09.200 --> 01:54:09.700
Wow.

01:54:09.700 --> 01:54:11.200
In his effort to teach this.

01:54:12.000 --> 01:54:14.700
He went back to the Greek in his sermon

01:54:15.200 --> 01:54:17.200
and then actually went back to Latin.

01:54:17.200 --> 01:54:17.700
Okay.

01:54:19.000 --> 01:54:19.700
Okay.

01:54:20.000 --> 01:54:21.700
And he said that blasphemy is true.

01:54:22.100 --> 01:54:22.600
Wow.

01:54:22.600 --> 01:54:24.000
He said blasphemy is true.

01:54:24.000 --> 01:54:26.700
He said that the railing statements against Jesus was true.

01:54:27.300 --> 01:54:28.580
by the false witnesses.

01:54:28.580 --> 01:54:31.860
And again, it's just sad to see people do this kind of stuff.

01:54:31.860 --> 01:54:33.060
I don't want to see that.

01:54:33.060 --> 01:54:34.660
You know what I want to see these people do?

01:54:34.660 --> 01:54:35.940
Just say, hey, I was wrong.

01:54:36.820 --> 01:54:38.500
Railing is false statements.

01:54:38.500 --> 01:54:39.620
I made false statements.

01:54:39.620 --> 01:54:40.580
I'm not going to do it.

01:54:40.580 --> 01:54:41.300
Let's move on.

01:54:42.100 --> 01:54:44.260
But it's like these people just keep attacking us

01:54:44.260 --> 01:54:46.580
and taking us to task and lying about us.

01:54:46.580 --> 01:54:48.100
And it's like we defend ourselves.

01:54:48.100 --> 01:54:49.780
And then they're like, oh, you're a railer.

01:54:49.780 --> 01:54:51.940
It's like defending yourself from lies, not railing.

01:54:52.500 --> 01:54:53.000
OK.

01:54:53.900 --> 01:54:55.400
Railing is you lying.

01:54:55.400 --> 01:54:59.300
I don't go way over time, so that's what I do, all right?

01:54:59.300 --> 01:55:02.100
Forgive me for the sins of the mouth or whatever, all right?

01:55:02.100 --> 01:55:02.700
What's the point?

01:55:02.700 --> 01:55:05.300
Hey, shut up, Pastor Shelley, OK?

01:55:05.300 --> 01:55:07.100
But you know, I'm speaking a lot, so maybe we

01:55:07.100 --> 01:55:08.900
would talk a little bit less, all right?

01:55:08.900 --> 01:55:10.900
And you know, we should be careful what we say

01:55:10.900 --> 01:55:12.300
and be careful with our motivations,

01:55:12.300 --> 01:55:15.500
because when you get off, when you have these bad spirits,

01:55:15.500 --> 01:55:17.900
this envy, and this evil surmising,

01:55:17.900 --> 01:55:19.300
you're going to say stupid stuff.

01:55:19.700 --> 01:55:21.500
We need to have a pure heart. Let's close in prayer.

01:55:21.500 --> 01:55:23.200
Thank you, Holy Father, so much for your Word.

01:55:23.200 --> 01:55:24.500
Thank you so much for the gospel truth.

01:55:24.500 --> 01:55:26.700
Thank you so much for your mercy.

01:55:26.700 --> 01:55:28.000
Thank you for being long-suffering with us.

01:55:28.000 --> 01:55:29.500
I pray that you would help us.

01:55:29.900 --> 01:55:34.060
as your people to not overly criticize other people,

01:55:34.060 --> 01:55:35.860
that we would shut our mouths,

01:55:35.860 --> 01:55:38.000
that we wouldn't despise our neighbors,

01:55:38.000 --> 01:55:41.800
that we wouldn't have so much hatred and envy and pride,

01:55:41.800 --> 01:55:44.640
that we wouldn't murmur and complain,

01:55:44.640 --> 01:55:46.920
that we wouldn't just constantly criticize,

01:55:46.920 --> 01:55:48.680
that we wouldn't just be mean,

01:55:48.680 --> 01:55:50.440
that we wouldn't just talk negatively,

01:55:50.440 --> 01:55:53.240
that we wouldn't lie, that we wouldn't bear false witness.

01:55:53.240 --> 01:55:55.840
I pray that you would help us to never be guilty of railing.

01:55:55.840 --> 01:55:57.760
I pray that you would help us not to repeat things

01:55:57.900 --> 01:56:02.980
we hear, that we wouldn't be a tail bearer, we wouldn't reveal private information or

01:56:02.980 --> 01:56:05.580
gossip, we wouldn't repeat slander.

01:56:05.580 --> 01:56:10.160
I pray that you would help us to realize just how many sins there are with the tongue and

01:56:10.160 --> 01:56:15.540
that we would be more careful with our words, be careful to speak the truth, and we do it

01:56:15.540 --> 01:56:16.540
in love.

01:56:16.540 --> 01:56:17.540
In Jesus' name we pray.

01:56:17.540 --> 01:56:18.540
Amen.

01:56:18.540 --> 01:56:19.540
Amen.

01:56:19.540 --> 01:56:23.660
All right, for our last song, let's go to song number 41.

01:56:34.800 --> 01:56:37.940
Song number 41.

01:56:37.940 --> 01:56:38.920
Sweet.

01:56:38.920 --> 01:56:40.040
Bye and bye.

01:56:40.040 --> 01:56:42.000
Song number 41.

01:56:47.300 --> 01:56:49.740
Song number 41, let's all sing that out together.

01:56:49.740 --> 01:56:51.540
Sweet by and by.

01:56:51.540 --> 01:56:55.620
There's a land that is

01:59:07.800 --> 01:59:09.800
everybody you are all dismissed.
