And oftentimes, 14:57.000 --> 15:00.040 you know, we see these pictures in the Old Testament and we're like, 15:00.040 --> 15:02.040 how do we apply it to the New Testament? 15:02.440 --> 15:07.000 And in this instance, you know, God just wants us to be doers of the word, 15:07.000 --> 15:08.540 not just hearers of the word. 15:08.540 --> 15:14.000 And he gives them all this stuff for the first, you know, we see here for the first eight chapters, 15:14.000 --> 15:15.000 he's got all this. 15:15.400 --> 15:22.520 detail and he's getting the army ready and he's consecrating and he's cleaning the the children of Israel and now he tells them 15:22.520 --> 15:23.520 Hey, this is how we're gonna move 15:23.520 --> 15:25.520 but a couple things that really stand out to me is that 15:26.120 --> 15:31.600 God only wants us to do things according to his timing and his will and 15:32.240 --> 15:36.880 Oftentimes when we're going through some of this it feels like it's very just as a matter of fact 15:37.400 --> 15:43.400 But really, it's the, as a matter of fact, movement, it's a matter of fact word that we need in our lives. 15:43.400 --> 15:48.400 Right? We're not couch potatoes 18:35.420 --> 18:39.580 If the Christian is a couch potato, then they're just basically not 18:40.260 --> 18:45.260 Obedient they're not obedient to the Word of God and this is the thing we're gonna see but here's something really interesting 18:45.260 --> 18:45.980 I'm gonna get ahead myself 18:45.980 --> 18:50.580 But but I really want to set this up as we close this as to why was important to go through all of this 18:50.820 --> 18:52.500 God dedicates 18:52.900 --> 18:57.700 Obviously, this is a time set right they've been here for about 11 months, but God really dedicates 18:58.100 --> 19:01.860 10 chapters of the book of numbers to all this detail 19:03.020 --> 19:07.960 And the reason is even with all this detail you just go to numbers 11 go to numbers 11 19:07.960 --> 19:12.300 We'll touch on that but I'll just start and you go there numbers 11. Here's what's happening 19:12.900 --> 19:18.180 They go out, you know, God's cleaned them up. He set the armies the way they did. He's like, hey, 19:18.180 --> 19:23.460 the this family is going to do this. The Levi's are going to do this. You have Aaron and his sons. 19:23.460 --> 19:28.740 They're the high priest. All this has to be done in a specific order and a specific time and a 19:28.740 --> 19:33.780 specific way. Or I mean, even the sons of Aaron were struck down for burning strength, firing the 19:33.780 --> 19:38.740 Lord. And then you get to chapter 11 it says, And when the people complained... 19:39.100 --> 19:51.100 It displeased the Lord and the Lord heard it, and his anger was kindled and the fire of the Lord burned among them and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp." 19:51.100 --> 19:58.100 Immediately after, I mean they've seen this, God's given them instructions, he says this is the way it's supposed to be. 19:58.100 --> 20:00.100 What do the people do? They complain. 20:00.400 --> 20:06.760 So it's important to just drive this point home over and over and over again. 20:06.760 --> 20:08.760 That's why we are with our children. 20:08.760 --> 20:11.160 That's why God's so repetitive in the Bible. 20:11.160 --> 20:14.240 And that's why we sometimes have to be so repetitive even from our preaching 20:14.240 --> 20:16.840 because even with all of that, you know what we're going to do? 20:16.840 --> 20:18.880 We're going to murmur and we're going to complain. 20:18.880 --> 20:20.760 And we're just going to get fed up. 20:20.760 --> 20:23.320 And we're just going to have tough times. 20:23.320 --> 20:26.920 And we're just going to find an excuse to not want to do stuff for the Lord. 20:26.920 --> 20:28.320 And so just as a way of... 20:28.400 --> 20:35.400 recap here, right? And God tells you to move 45:19.100 --> 45:23.420 in a certain way based on the Bible, and God tells you not to move. And here's examples, 45:23.420 --> 45:27.740 because we don't have it so clear in this direction. I think the clarity comes from 45:27.740 --> 45:32.380 how the way that God answers prayers. And so for example, I'll give you answered prayers 45:32.380 --> 45:33.900 that tell me that we need to move. 45:34.100 --> 45:38.340 Right? We go to verse 5 it says, when ye blow an alarm then the camps that lie on the east part 56:22.120 --> 56:26.600 shall go forward.
