WEBVTT

00:00.000 --> 00:05.800
We'll give it just one.

00:05.800 --> 00:08.640
Yeah, let's go ahead.

00:08.640 --> 00:10.640
We're going to start 165.

00:10.640 --> 00:12.640
Two minutes early.

00:12.640 --> 00:16.840
We're usually a minute late, so we'll just make up for it today.

00:16.840 --> 00:19.840
165 on the first.

00:19.840 --> 00:40.240
Oh, worship the King, all glorious above, And gratefully sing his wonderful love.

00:40.240 --> 00:54.240
Our shield and defender, the ancient of days, Pavilion is splendor and girded with praise.

00:54.240 --> 01:07.240
Oh, tell of his might and sing of his praise, Whose robe is the light, whose gem yet be spazed.

01:07.240 --> 01:21.240
His chariot of radiance deep under clouds form, And dark is his path from the wings of the storm.

01:21.240 --> 01:34.240
Thy bountiful care, what tongue can recite, It breathes in the air, it shines in the light,

01:34.240 --> 01:41.240
It streamed from the hills, it descended from the plain,

01:41.240 --> 01:48.240
To end the reign.

01:48.240 --> 02:01.240
Frail children of dust, and feeble as frail, In thee do we trust, nor find we to fail.

02:01.240 --> 02:16.240
Thy mercies, how tender, how firm to the end, Our maker, defender, redeemer, and friend.

02:16.240 --> 02:20.240
Sorry, I lost my place in that third one. I was like, where are we?

02:20.240 --> 02:23.240
So, all right, well, welcome to Springcrest Baptist Church.

02:23.240 --> 02:27.240
I'll have Gentry, if you can pass out some bulletins, we'll remove it.

02:27.240 --> 02:32.240
If you don't have a bulletin, they're back there in the back, and Gentry will get you one.

02:32.240 --> 02:44.240
And today is May 17th.

02:44.240 --> 02:51.240
We have, sorry, I'm getting a text from Brother Mike, because I asked him, he's from the baby, but his mom already let me know.

02:51.240 --> 03:01.240
So, we have our service time, Sunday morning, 10.30 a.m., Sunday evening, 4.30, Wednesday service, 5.30 p.m., and then our sole winning time is 2 p.m.

03:01.240 --> 03:17.240
I already told Brother Jerry, but Brother Matt, just so you guys know, I have a personal thing with my daughter today between services, I probably won't go sole winning, so if you guys, you know, I mean, you guys handle it anyways, but I just won't be there with you guys today.

03:17.240 --> 03:21.240
Although I did go sole winning earlier in the week, so that kind of makes up for that.

03:21.240 --> 03:31.240
So, the verse of the week is Philippians 1.26, that you're rejoicing, baby, more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by coming to you again.

03:31.240 --> 03:37.240
And then once again, we are a family integrated church. We encourage the families to be together.

03:37.240 --> 03:45.240
The only thing I would say is, of course, if the babies are getting out of hand, then we have a mother-baby room in the back, and that's specifically what it is, a mother-baby room.

03:45.240 --> 03:53.240
We live stream the services there, no men, no older children, just the mamas and the babies, so they can take care of whatever they need to.

03:53.240 --> 04:01.240
And then year to date, we have 545 souls, one for the year, so, you know, praise the Lord, we're kicking it up a notch.

04:01.240 --> 04:06.240
And like I said, the month of May was the only one, God willing, we'll get back on track.

04:06.240 --> 04:13.240
Just I knew we had the anti-Israel conference coming up. I knew I was trying to get there, which is coming up next week.

04:13.240 --> 04:21.240
So after this, we'll get back to like, we do need to put together a church work day and then, of course, some sole winning marathons.

04:21.240 --> 04:30.240
In the summer, we'll just focus locally, and then we'll add those college sole winning marathons in the fall.

04:30.240 --> 04:37.240
And then the birthdays right there, you've got Lily Lavec on the 14th, and then Lily Maludic.

04:37.240 --> 04:42.240
I mean, she just had her birthday, and then the Maludic's, their baby's on the 20th.

04:42.240 --> 04:51.240
And then upcoming activities, the anti-Israel conference is coming up this week. It starts Wednesday, and it's all the way to next Sunday.

04:51.240 --> 04:58.240
I was only going to be there Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, but I was graciously invited to speak in Spanish on Sunday.

04:58.240 --> 05:04.240
So Brother Mike and Brother, I mean, and Pastor Cobb will be preaching next Sunday.

05:04.240 --> 05:11.240
And I'll just get with you, Brother Jerry and Brother Trey, but you know, it doesn't have, the order of service is pretty easy.

05:11.240 --> 05:16.240
So, you know, and Pastor Cobb, I mean, I think you can handle it, right? You've only been doing this for 50 years.

05:16.240 --> 05:22.240
So if you have to make up an order of service, I think it'd come back to you. So I'm not too concerned. You're a good head.

05:23.240 --> 05:29.240
And I just pray for the expecting mothers, Christian Rogers and Marcel Wycliffe.

05:29.240 --> 05:34.240
And then congratulations to the new baby, the Mike Maludic.

05:34.240 --> 05:44.240
And it's MA. Sorry, guys, I should have seen the one. Baby Maludic was born. It's Jonah Lee, nine pounds, 16 ounces.

05:44.240 --> 05:49.240
And it was, she was born, or I mean, sorry, he was born on Mother's Day.

05:49.240 --> 05:53.240
So, you know, if you have a chance, send him a congratulations.

05:53.240 --> 06:06.240
As a matter of fact, we were leaving last Sunday evening and I think I told Capriage and maybe he was the only one that were like we were actually really he sent me the text with the information.

06:06.240 --> 06:12.240
I think they call him Jonah the whale. So when you meet the baby, he said, aka Jonah the whale.

06:12.240 --> 06:22.240
So, and then just a couple of housekeeping items right there for the, you know, all the rules, the biggest thing just to get toddlers or small children.

06:22.240 --> 06:27.240
Then the parents make take the rest of the room or get them their snacks or water, whatever.

06:27.240 --> 06:33.240
And on the back, we have the prayer request. I think we've got everybody that needs to be covered.

06:33.240 --> 06:43.240
I haven't gotten any updates on that. And then, unless anything else, is there any other announcements that we need to cover?

06:43.240 --> 06:46.240
There was something else I was trying to think of.

06:46.240 --> 06:52.240
It'll come to me. All right. If nothing else, turn your hymnals over to page 22.

06:52.240 --> 07:00.240
22.

07:00.240 --> 07:03.240
22.

07:03.240 --> 07:17.240
On the first.

07:17.240 --> 07:23.240
Have you been?

07:23.240 --> 07:28.240
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, guys. I heard it wrong. I'm the one who answered wrong.

07:28.240 --> 07:34.240
I'm the one that just ignored me. This is why we need a song leader, someone who actually knows what they're doing. Go ahead.

07:34.240 --> 07:42.240
Give us a Detroit test. I apologize.

07:42.240 --> 07:51.240
Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power? Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?

07:51.240 --> 08:00.240
Are you fully trusted in his grace, this sour power you watched in the blood of the lamb?

08:00.240 --> 08:09.240
Are you washed in the blood, in the soul cleansing blood of the lamb?

08:09.240 --> 08:18.240
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow? Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?

08:18.240 --> 08:27.240
Are you walking daily by the Savior's side? Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?

08:27.240 --> 08:35.240
Do you rest each moment in the crucified? Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?

08:35.240 --> 08:43.240
Are you washed in the blood, in the soul cleansing blood of the lamb?

08:43.240 --> 08:52.240
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow? Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?

08:52.240 --> 09:01.240
When the bridegroom cometh, will your robe be white? Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?

09:01.240 --> 09:10.240
Will you slowly be ready for the mansion's bride, and be washed in the blood of the lamb?

09:10.240 --> 09:18.240
Are you washed in the blood, in the soul cleansing blood of the lamb?

09:18.240 --> 09:27.240
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow? Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?

09:27.240 --> 09:35.240
Lay aside the garments, dinner's named with sin, and be washed in the blood of the lamb.

09:35.240 --> 09:44.240
There's a fountain flowing for the soul unclean, oh be washed in the blood of the lamb.

09:44.240 --> 09:52.240
Are you washed in the blood, in the soul cleansing blood of the lamb?

09:52.240 --> 10:00.240
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow? Are you washed in the blood of the lamb?

10:22.240 --> 10:40.240
Take my life and let it be, consecrate it Lord to me.

10:40.240 --> 10:56.240
Take my hands and let them move, at the impulse of thy love, at the impulse of thy love.

10:56.240 --> 11:06.240
Take my feet and let them be, swift and beautiful for thee.

11:06.240 --> 11:22.240
Take my voice and let me sing, always holy for my King, always holy for my King.

11:22.240 --> 11:32.240
Take my silver and my gold, not of mine would I win gold.

11:32.240 --> 11:42.240
Take my moments and my days, let them flow in ceaseless praise.

11:42.240 --> 11:52.240
Take my will and bring it thine, it shall be no longer mine.

11:52.240 --> 12:02.240
Take my heart it is thine own, it shall be thy royal throne.

12:02.240 --> 12:12.240
It shall be thy royal throne.

12:32.240 --> 12:48.240
Galatians chapter 1, Galatians chapter 1.

12:48.240 --> 12:59.240
Galatians chapter 1, verse 1, the Bible reads, Paul an apostle, not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead.

12:59.240 --> 13:22.240
And all the brethren which are with me unto the churches of Galatia, grace be to you and peace from God the Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins that he might deliver us from this present evil world according to the will of God and our Father, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

13:22.240 --> 13:36.240
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel, which is not another, but there be some that trouble you and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

13:36.240 --> 13:46.240
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you in that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

13:46.240 --> 13:58.240
As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

13:58.240 --> 14:09.240
For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

14:09.240 --> 14:22.240
But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

14:22.240 --> 14:40.240
For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God and wasted it, and profited in the Jews religion above many, my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

14:40.240 --> 14:55.240
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me by his grace to reveal his son in me that I might preach him among the heathen, immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood.

14:55.240 --> 15:05.240
Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me, but I went into Arabia and returned again into Damascus.

15:05.240 --> 15:17.240
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter and abode with him fifteen days, but other of the apostles saw I none, save James, the Lord's brother.

15:17.240 --> 15:34.240
Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God I lie not. Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia, and was unknown by faith unto the churches of Judea which were in Christ.

15:34.240 --> 15:46.240
But they had heard only that he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed. And they glorify God in me.

15:46.240 --> 15:52.240
As far as I can go, Lord in prayer. Father, thank you for your word, thank you for this church, thank you for gathering us here this morning.

15:52.240 --> 16:05.240
Lord, thank you for adopting us into your family. Lord, we ask that you soften our hearts and give us ears to hear so that we may receive the message and allow it to change us and make us be better servants to you, Lord.

16:05.240 --> 16:14.240
Also, please fill Pastor Reyes with your spirit and allow him to preach boldness and clarity from your culprit. In the name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.

16:14.240 --> 16:22.240
All right. We're there in Galatians, Galatians 1.

16:22.240 --> 16:29.240
I'll just get my timer here.

16:29.240 --> 16:41.240
All right. We're there in Galatians 1, and we're going to continue this probably this lifelong series.

16:41.240 --> 16:47.240
I don't know if it's lifelong, but it definitely be for a while on the Church from Hell.

16:47.240 --> 16:52.240
And last year I did Church from Hell, the Catholics and the Mormons and the Jehovah's Witness.

16:52.240 --> 17:01.240
And then there's one particular religion that I've been holding off for a long time just because every time I think about it, I just get fired up and it's the religion I came out of.

17:01.240 --> 17:09.240
And so today I'll be preaching the Church from Hell, the Seventh-day Adventists.

17:09.240 --> 17:21.240
And, you know, the Seventh-day Adventists is a really deceptive religion because in many ways it's a religion that looks like the Baptists.

17:21.240 --> 17:24.240
Their service, their order of service is very similar.

17:24.240 --> 17:30.240
If you were to walk into a Baptist, I mean, an Adventist church today, as a matter of fact, there's one right here off of Hammerley in the Bellway.

17:30.240 --> 17:32.240
It looks like a Baptist building.

17:32.240 --> 17:36.240
If you were to sit through their services, the only difference would be that it'd be on a Saturday.

17:36.240 --> 17:40.240
It would feel very similar to what we are doing right now, especially in the Old Guard.

17:40.240 --> 17:43.240
It has a very similar cadence.

17:43.240 --> 17:54.240
As a matter of fact, one of the only things that really was helpful when I first got saved was that transitioning to a Baptist church wasn't hard as other than the day because everything was very similar.

17:54.240 --> 17:56.240
The hymns are the same.

17:56.240 --> 18:02.240
And of course, they all, all the churches, whether they're right on the gospel or not, have this dilution, right?

18:02.240 --> 18:07.240
So nowadays, I think Seventh Adventists have moved to the more contemporary and all that stuff.

18:07.240 --> 18:15.240
But those issues, you know, they pale in comparison to just how evil and deceptive of a false religion it is, right?

18:15.240 --> 18:19.240
And let's look right there real quick before we get there to the crux of the matter.

18:19.240 --> 18:23.240
And right there in verse number six of Galatians, the Bible says,

18:32.240 --> 18:34.240
I mean, Paul here says,

18:34.240 --> 19:02.240
I mean, Paul here says it twice.

19:02.240 --> 19:05.240
He's like, hey, let me just reiterate this point.

19:05.240 --> 19:11.240
If anybody comes and just preaches anything outside of the Bible, they're cursed.

19:11.240 --> 19:15.240
And what the challenge here he's having in the Church of Galatians, hey, they got saved.

19:15.240 --> 19:20.240
And then you got these people who are work salvation and they're getting enough off the beaten path.

19:20.240 --> 19:27.240
Right. So obviously, false prophets, devils can lead saved individuals astray.

19:27.240 --> 19:31.240
Right. A Christian can be saved and still be involved in false faith.

19:31.240 --> 19:34.240
And we're all in false heresies.

19:34.240 --> 19:39.240
I mean, or you have false doctrines and maybe not damnable heresies.

19:39.240 --> 19:43.240
Right. And so we need to be very careful with the religions of the world.

19:43.240 --> 19:47.240
And one of the things that separates Baptist is independent Baptist,

19:47.240 --> 19:56.240
heart preaching Baptist from the rest of the evangelical movements is that we're willing to call out any religion that it doesn't align with the word of God.

19:56.240 --> 19:58.240
Right. People will get offended at this.

19:58.240 --> 20:03.240
As a matter of fact, I was talking to a family member and I had told them about, you know, what I was going to preach this this week.

20:03.240 --> 20:06.240
And they're like, I wish you wouldn't preach that stuff because there's why.

20:06.240 --> 20:10.240
Why do you have to be so offensive? I'm not offensive.

20:10.240 --> 20:12.240
This is offensive to the word of God. Right.

20:12.240 --> 20:16.240
This is an attack on people for twenty five years of my life.

20:16.240 --> 20:20.240
And, you know, obviously I grew up a little bit Catholic.

20:20.240 --> 20:23.240
And what I mean by a little bit is because who's ever met a true Catholic?

20:23.240 --> 20:24.240
I've never really met one.

20:24.240 --> 20:25.240
I mean, maybe I have.

20:25.240 --> 20:28.240
Well, actually, I've met like one in my life, like a hardcore Catholic.

20:28.240 --> 20:30.240
Everybody else is like Catholic light. Right.

20:30.240 --> 20:32.240
They just show up. They pay their penance.

20:32.240 --> 20:33.240
Then they move on with their life.

20:33.240 --> 20:42.240
But then when we got to the States, you know, my dad had some doctor friends and they convinced them that this was the religion of the educated.

20:42.240 --> 20:46.240
And so we just plugged into a Seventh-day Adventist Church from like the age of eight.

20:46.240 --> 20:52.200
My eight, you know, my parents were older, of course, but from the age of eight till about twenty five, that's where, you know, I got those were my formidable

20:52.200 --> 21:02.200
years. I spent them in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, going to church on Saturday, you know, being involved in the Maranatha Club, which is like the equivalent of like the Boy Scouts.

21:02.200 --> 21:06.200
Like I went to their camps and I did, you know, I got baptized there, all those things.

21:06.200 --> 21:10.200
And then when I got when I finally figured it out, I was like I was really not happy about it.

21:10.200 --> 21:14.200
Right. Because they make you think that you're saved when you're not.

21:14.200 --> 21:17.200
So right here, I have a little note on verse number six.

21:17.200 --> 21:20.200
It says, I marvel that you are so soon removed from him.

21:20.200 --> 21:23.200
They called you unto the grace of Christ, unto another gospel.

21:23.200 --> 21:25.200
And that's where I'm going to start.

21:25.200 --> 21:27.200
I'm going to give you just a brief history.

21:27.200 --> 21:29.200
This is going to be more of a lesson.

21:29.200 --> 21:32.200
I must start with a man by the name of William Miller.

21:32.200 --> 21:33.200
William Miller.

21:33.200 --> 21:45.200
What's interesting is William Miller was a Baptist before he was anything else, but he was only a Baptist in name because obviously anybody who saved by grace would never do anything so egregious and get off the ground.

21:45.200 --> 21:51.200
You can get off, but you definitely wouldn't lead a movement of stupidity like this guy did.

21:51.200 --> 21:54.200
And just I'm going to give you some bullet points of what I'm going to cover them.

21:54.200 --> 21:56.200
I'm just going to cover them in detail.

21:56.200 --> 22:01.200
I'm going to show you just like the Mormons, just like the Jehovah's Witness, just like the Catholics.

22:01.200 --> 22:04.200
The Seventh-day Adventists are kind of nuts.

22:04.200 --> 22:07.200
The difference is they're not going to tell you upfront.

22:07.200 --> 22:13.200
Whereas the Mormons, you know, I guess they've gotten more bold in their behavior.

22:13.200 --> 22:23.200
I mean, remember when I preached on the Mormons, I had that one guy calling me trying to tell me that, you know, he could teach me the doctrines of the Mormons that I didn't know what I was talking about.

22:23.200 --> 22:27.200
I was like, bro, you're I don't know what you're smoking, but I don't need to talk to you about it.

22:27.200 --> 22:28.200
I have the Bible.

22:28.200 --> 22:31.200
But, you know, they the religion was established.

22:31.200 --> 22:36.200
It came out of the Second Great Awakening, which was somewhere in the mid-1800s.

22:36.200 --> 22:41.200
And the religion eventually got established in 1863.

22:41.200 --> 22:44.200
And they if you go to their website, it's on there.

22:44.200 --> 22:47.200
They have 28 fundamental beliefs.

22:47.200 --> 22:49.200
I'm not going to go through all of those.

22:49.200 --> 22:52.200
Some of those are kind of wild, just to say the least.

22:52.200 --> 22:53.200
But here's the thing.

22:53.200 --> 22:56.200
They have 20 million members worldwide.

22:56.200 --> 22:59.200
You know, and they do a lot of mission.

22:59.200 --> 23:06.200
They, you know, it makes me think of that verse where it says you go you go around the world and you make them twice.

23:06.200 --> 23:08.200
You know, the children of hell, right?

23:08.200 --> 23:11.200
That you go and proselytes is talking about the saddest and the fairest.

23:11.200 --> 23:15.200
They love going to all these foreign countries and just recruiting.

23:15.200 --> 23:22.200
You know, if you run into like the reason I know so much about the Filipino culture and the reason like I talked to some of the Filipinos in our area.

23:22.200 --> 23:28.200
And I know like about chicken adobo and pancet and all that's because for a long time in the early 90s,

23:28.200 --> 23:36.200
there was this big movement where these Filipino guys would charge, you know, 10, 20 thousand dollars to these Filipino nurses.

23:36.200 --> 23:39.200
Usually the females and they would bring them into the states.

23:39.200 --> 23:42.200
I mean, Trey and I knew guys who that's how they made their money.

23:42.200 --> 23:46.200
They were making like 100 K a month because they were bringing in these Filipino nurses

23:46.200 --> 23:49.200
and they infiltrated the entire medical system here in the.

23:49.200 --> 23:53.200
I don't know if it's the whole US, but definitely here in Texas and down in the valley.

23:53.200 --> 23:59.200
There was a bunch of Filipino nurses and they happen also be Seventh Day Adventists and it was just like wild.

23:59.200 --> 24:01.200
So, you know, they'll do that.

24:01.200 --> 24:03.200
And then they love being in like the martial arts.

24:03.200 --> 24:11.200
And, you know, what's that island that Sheila Jackson Lee said that was going to tip over because there's too many people Guam, Guam.

24:11.200 --> 24:14.200
They go so many like all over the place.

24:14.200 --> 24:15.200
Just weird stuff.

24:15.200 --> 24:16.200
Right.

24:16.200 --> 24:23.200
And the biggest differentiating factor, they'll tell you this is why it's so important to learn what the enemy is doing is they just say,

24:23.200 --> 24:24.200
hey, we're like you.

24:24.200 --> 24:30.200
And the reason I know this is because that's how I was trained when I was trying to proselyte the enemy.

24:30.200 --> 24:39.200
I was trained when I was trying to proselyte other Adventists that would say, hey, we're like Baptist, except we go to church on Saturday, which is not true.

24:39.200 --> 24:41.200
They're not anything like Baptist at all.

24:41.200 --> 24:42.200
Right.

24:42.200 --> 24:43.200
They're they're actually devil.

24:43.200 --> 24:52.200
So as a way of introduction, you know, just Seventh Day Adventists Seventh Day Adventists will present themselves as Christians.

24:52.200 --> 24:53.200
Right.

24:53.200 --> 24:55.200
But the challenge is what were they built on?

24:55.200 --> 24:57.200
Well, there's a couple of things that we really need to pay attention to.

24:57.200 --> 24:59.200
And that's why I'm starting with William Miller.

24:59.200 --> 25:02.200
They're built on a failed prophecy.

25:02.200 --> 25:04.200
And that was really my biggest fight.

25:04.200 --> 25:09.200
I remember having these conversations with like the youth pastors of the day.

25:09.200 --> 25:16.200
And I didn't think I was being too loud and obnoxious, but it was until later that I found out I was because people called me about it.

25:16.200 --> 25:25.200
But I would get in these these arguments with these guys because I'm like, hey, how can you guys how can we say we're the true religion if we only came about in the 1800s?

25:25.200 --> 25:27.200
Like what happened to like all the evidence before that?

25:27.200 --> 25:28.200
Right.

25:28.200 --> 25:30.200
Like those were my kind of questions back in the day.

25:30.200 --> 25:36.200
Then they rely on a lot of extra biblical authority, which we do not as Baptist.

25:36.200 --> 25:38.200
Our authority comes from the word of God.

25:38.200 --> 25:40.200
That's why we're King James only.

25:40.200 --> 25:53.200
They rely on about something like fifty thousand, you know, something like over one hundred thousand words that were written by some just nutty female by the name of Ellen White.

25:53.200 --> 25:57.200
And if you don't know about Ellen White, don't worry about it.

25:57.200 --> 25:58.200
She's nuts, right?

25:58.200 --> 26:04.200
They also do a lot of workspace confusion because they actually preach the right gospel on the surface.

26:04.200 --> 26:06.200
If you go to their website, you read the salvation plan.

26:06.200 --> 26:09.200
It's kind of hard to see any works.

26:09.200 --> 26:14.200
It's not until you read the other beliefs that you realize, oh, this is workspace salvation.

26:14.200 --> 26:15.200
Right.

26:15.200 --> 26:22.200
Obviously, the big one for them, the one they'll fight you the most, the one that actually most of your novice or you're just layman.

26:22.200 --> 26:31.200
Seventh day of Venice will fight you on is the Sabbath, which, you know, just in case you ever run into one that wants to fight about the Sabbath, just take them to Leviticus 23.

26:31.200 --> 26:37.200
And also just remind them that even though the fourth commandment is important, you know, there's three before that.

26:37.200 --> 26:41.200
So if we're going to fight about the fourth one, let's clear up one, two and three.

26:41.200 --> 26:46.200
Right. Because I just always think it's weird that they focus on number four and they forgot the other three.

26:46.200 --> 26:51.200
And then they also believe in annihilation ism and socially.

26:51.200 --> 26:54.200
So they think that when you die, you just lay there.

26:54.200 --> 26:57.200
And then one day when Jesus comes, he's going to raise everybody up.

26:57.200 --> 26:58.200
He's gonna wake them up.

26:58.200 --> 27:00.200
He's like, hey, did you have a good rest?

27:00.200 --> 27:04.200
Some of you are going to just disappear because you don't deserve to go to heaven.

27:04.200 --> 27:08.200
And some of you are going to go to heaven and everybody's going to just have a gay old time.

27:08.200 --> 27:10.200
Right.

27:10.200 --> 27:15.200
And during that time, when you're so sleepy, what's going on is that Jesus is in heaven right now.

27:15.200 --> 27:21.200
According to them, this is not us is and he's doing what's called investigative judgment.

27:21.200 --> 27:30.200
If you don't know what investigative judgment is, it's a really fancy way of saying that Jesus is like a glorified paper pusher and administrator.

27:30.200 --> 27:32.200
He's going through all your files.

27:32.200 --> 27:36.200
Remember those old cartoons where someone would go through all the files in heaven and make sure you could get in heaven?

27:36.200 --> 27:38.200
And that's basically what Jesus is doing.

27:38.200 --> 27:44.200
He's going through and he's like, oh, you know, brother, so and so believed on Christ, but his actions don't match up.

27:44.200 --> 27:46.200
He really didn't live righteous.

27:46.200 --> 27:48.200
So out. Oh, brother, so and so.

27:48.200 --> 27:50.200
He did a good job.

27:50.200 --> 27:54.200
Like it's basically he's just that's literally what they believe that happened in 1844.

27:54.200 --> 28:01.200
And that in that failed prophecy is that the failed prophecy was that they believed Jesus was coming back and I'll get there in a second.

28:01.200 --> 28:04.200
But what they they fixed it, they tweaked it.

28:04.200 --> 28:07.200
They're like, oh, no, he moved into the holies of holies.

28:07.200 --> 28:09.200
And he started this investigative judgment.

28:09.200 --> 28:14.200
And when he's done going through all the billions of people, this is God we're talking about.

28:14.200 --> 28:20.200
Right. Like what a condescending jerk whoever came up with this to think that God's going to take that.

28:20.200 --> 28:24.200
God could go through anything, you know, just by snapping his finger.

28:24.200 --> 28:26.200
He wouldn't even have to snap his fingers.

28:26.200 --> 28:27.200
But anyways, that's a whole other thing.

28:27.200 --> 28:31.200
And once he's done, then, you know, he's coming back.

28:31.200 --> 28:34.200
They also they're big on dietary legalism.

28:34.200 --> 28:37.200
You know, they're huge on vegetarianism.

28:38.200 --> 28:40.200
You know, eating right healthy eating.

28:40.200 --> 28:44.200
There's like some social influencers that are known later on.

28:44.200 --> 28:47.200
If you look, there's this one lady that's really famous.

28:47.200 --> 28:52.200
She's an older lady on social media about, you know, eating healthy and living healthy life.

28:52.200 --> 28:55.200
If you do a deep search on her, she's the seventh day of Venice.

28:55.200 --> 28:58.200
I don't remember her name.

28:58.200 --> 29:01.200
And then, of course, they have a cult like dependence on Ellen G.

29:02.200 --> 29:06.200
And I'll explain that here in a second.

29:06.200 --> 29:15.200
And so the issue is that it's not whether they use Christian words or their doctor matches.

29:15.200 --> 29:18.200
The issue is they don't believe in Christ.

29:18.200 --> 29:20.200
They hate Jesus Christ.

29:20.200 --> 29:21.200
And how do you know that?

29:21.200 --> 29:23.200
Because they don't believe the words of the Bible.

29:23.200 --> 29:24.200
They don't believe the words of God.

29:24.200 --> 29:28.200
They think that there's other people that are leading them to this conclusion.

29:28.200 --> 29:34.200
You know, if you don't have to turn there, why don't you go ahead and turn over to Deuteronomy 18.

29:34.200 --> 29:36.200
But I'll read for you really quick in 2 Corinthians.

29:36.200 --> 29:39.200
Deuteronomy 18 and 2 Corinthians 11.

29:39.200 --> 29:40.200
Right there in verse 13, the Bible says,

29:58.200 --> 30:08.200
Hey, we shouldn't be shocked when we find these false religions

30:08.200 --> 30:12.200
because the Bible warns us that even Satan himself could turn into an angel of light.

30:12.200 --> 30:13.200
Right?

30:13.200 --> 30:17.200
And if you meet, there's a, there's a, the big thing with Seventh-day Adventist is

30:17.200 --> 30:24.200
most of you have probably run into some Seventh-day Adventist online videos or reading

30:24.200 --> 30:25.200
because you know what they don't do?

30:25.200 --> 30:27.200
They never promote the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

30:27.200 --> 30:34.200
If you click into their stuff, it usually takes you to some other website that has something to do with like just general ministries.

30:34.200 --> 30:37.200
It's like when you do a deep dive, you find out, oh, this guy's a Seventh-day Adventist.

30:37.200 --> 30:39.200
I know because I can recognize them a mile away.

30:39.200 --> 30:40.200
Right?

30:40.200 --> 30:42.200
So then I'm like, this guy, something doesn't smell right.

30:42.200 --> 30:44.200
And you know, you got to do your research.

30:44.200 --> 30:47.200
But point number one, and I only have like three points for you today.

30:47.200 --> 30:52.200
And it's based on the fact that it's so interesting to me in this day and age.

30:52.200 --> 30:57.200
And just know this is a good study because moving forward, it's just going to get worse.

30:57.200 --> 30:58.200
Right?

30:58.200 --> 31:00.200
It's going to get worse how easily people are deceived.

31:00.200 --> 31:08.200
When I tell you this, any sane human would be like, no way that this actually became a 20 million person religion.

31:08.200 --> 31:09.200
Right?

31:09.200 --> 31:10.200
But it did.

31:10.200 --> 31:15.200
So the first thing is I'm just going to give you the history of the Seventh-day Adventist.

31:15.200 --> 31:20.200
And the big thing is that they're built on a failed prophecy.

31:20.200 --> 31:25.200
So unlike other religions who just kind of, you know, maybe they were delivered golden tablets or whatever,

31:25.200 --> 31:34.200
this one was based on supposedly the Bible, especially end times prophecy in the book of Revelation and the book of Daniel.

31:34.200 --> 31:43.200
More so the book of Daniel and the 2300 days, which turned, you know, the guy a day is like a thousand years to the Lord.

31:43.200 --> 31:45.200
A thousand years is like a day to the Lord.

31:45.200 --> 31:50.200
So he took that and ran with it and calculated 2300 days.

31:50.200 --> 31:57.200
And he came with a conclusion that Jesus was coming back between 1843 and 1844.

31:57.200 --> 31:59.200
So let me just establish that real quick.

31:59.200 --> 32:01.200
Who is this guy?

32:01.200 --> 32:12.200
This guy is William Miller, who was an American clergyman who was credited with beginning the mid 19th century North American religious movement known as Millerism.

32:12.200 --> 32:13.200
Right?

32:13.200 --> 32:15.200
And they were called Millerites.

32:15.200 --> 32:20.200
And the biggest thing is after his proclamation of the second coming did not occur.

32:20.200 --> 32:22.200
This is what's known as the great disappointment.

32:22.200 --> 32:25.200
I'm going to give you just bullet points because I don't want to bore you with all the other stuff.

32:25.200 --> 32:28.200
It didn't occur as expected in the 1840s.

32:28.200 --> 32:34.200
The new heirs of his message emerged, including two major ones.

32:34.200 --> 32:38.200
There was others, but the major ones was the Advent Christians, although they're not that big.

32:38.200 --> 32:42.200
But then the Seventh-day Adventists who were formed in 1863.

32:42.200 --> 32:48.200
But during that time, you got to remember this is the mid 1800s in the Northeast.

32:48.200 --> 32:50.200
It is claimed that he had somewhere between 50,000.

32:50.200 --> 32:53.200
Of course, it was harder to track people back then.

32:53.200 --> 32:56.200
But between 50,000 to 500,000 followers.

32:56.200 --> 33:00.200
I would probably say that 50 to 100,000 were like the hardcore.

33:00.200 --> 33:04.200
And then everybody else was just kind of like, is this guy onto something or not?

33:04.200 --> 33:11.200
I mean, this, you know, the New York, the equivalent of whatever would be the New York Times wrote about this.

33:11.200 --> 33:16.200
I mean, people upended their entire lives on this prophecy.

33:16.200 --> 33:21.200
It happened two or three times where people were like, oh, Jesus is coming back today.

33:21.200 --> 33:27.200
And so they went and they sold all their belongings and they made like they got their affairs in order.

33:27.200 --> 33:30.200
And they either waited in home or the side of a hill.

33:30.200 --> 33:37.200
And they just sat there like idiots waiting for Jesus Christ to come and take him home based on the words of this guy.

33:37.200 --> 33:44.200
I mean, literally, you know, it was on the newspaper pamphlets were passed out like this was a big deal during that time.

33:44.200 --> 33:46.200
That's why it's called the great disappointment.

33:46.200 --> 33:51.200
It's a term that actually is used in journalism now to refer to anything major.

33:51.200 --> 33:58.200
And then they'll reference back to this time, this period in history in the United States called the great disappointment.

33:58.200 --> 34:02.200
And what's interesting here, I just took a couple of snippets from the history.

34:02.200 --> 34:13.200
It says about William Miller says shortly after his move to Pulteney, Miller rejected his Baptist heritage, which of course, because he grew up Baptist doesn't mean he's Baptist.

34:13.200 --> 34:16.200
Right. And became and this guy was all over the place.

34:16.200 --> 34:24.200
He became a deist. And just real quick, if you don't know what a deist is, is a lot of our founding fathers were proclaimed deists.

34:24.200 --> 34:26.200
They believed in God.

34:26.200 --> 34:32.200
They liked the morality, but they excluded all the supernatural prophecies, the miracles and all that.

34:32.200 --> 34:38.200
I mean, Thomas Jefferson is infamous for rejecting the Virgin birth and the miracles and turning wine into wine.

34:38.200 --> 34:40.200
That's what a deist is. Right.

34:40.200 --> 34:51.200
So just just to kind of give you a breakdown and in his biography, Miller records his conversations that I became acquainted with the principal men in that village in Pulteney,

34:51.200 --> 34:59.200
who were from the city of Vermont, who were professedly deists, but they were good citizens and have a moral and serious deportment.

34:59.200 --> 35:08.200
They put into my hands the works of Voltaire and David Hume and Thomas Paine and Ethan Allen and other deistical writers.

35:08.200 --> 35:12.200
And then later on, he tried to kind of weasel his way back into the Baptist.

35:12.200 --> 35:13.200
Didn't work.

35:13.200 --> 35:22.200
And that was a big, you know, fiasco because the other thing that happened with Miller is that he wasn't so sure about his prophetic days,

35:22.200 --> 35:30.200
but it got so much wind and people got so excited that they started to pressure him for a specific date.

35:30.200 --> 35:37.200
And then when he didn't give a specific date, some guy by the name of Snow actually gave the date and he wasn't really comfortable with it either.

35:37.200 --> 35:43.200
But because by then, you know, the mob had taken over and they were all so excited, he just went with it.

35:43.200 --> 35:45.200
So he didn't even himself agree with it.

35:45.200 --> 35:48.200
Later on, he's actually redacting where he's like, hey, I made an error.

35:48.200 --> 35:53.200
I do believe Jesus is coming back at our time, but I was just wrong about the date.

35:53.200 --> 35:57.200
So the guy wasn't even convicted about his own stuff, like what he was doing.

35:57.200 --> 35:58.200
Right.

35:58.200 --> 36:00.200
But here's a couple of things to stand out.

36:00.200 --> 36:05.200
He predicted that Jesus would return between 1843 and 1844.

36:05.200 --> 36:08.200
Now, this guy, Samuel Snow, was the one that ran with it.

36:08.200 --> 36:12.200
And he set the date October 22nd, 1844.

36:12.200 --> 36:16.200
Now, Miller, he didn't sign off on this, but the pressure got to him.

36:16.200 --> 36:17.200
Right.

36:17.200 --> 36:19.200
And like I said later, he apologized.

36:19.200 --> 36:21.200
But here's what's interesting.

36:21.200 --> 36:29.200
Thousands of people sold their homes, quit their jobs, set up their affairs and then just waited.

36:29.200 --> 36:32.200
And Jesus never, never came.

36:32.200 --> 36:33.200
Right.

36:33.200 --> 36:36.200
Of course, this is what's known as the disappointment.

36:36.200 --> 36:43.200
This was printed about at the time in 1844 in the New York Tribune, which if you think about it,

36:43.200 --> 36:46.200
in the 1800s, there's not a lot of major publications.

36:46.200 --> 36:50.200
It's not like you have Fox News and CNN and ABC and CBS.

36:50.200 --> 36:57.200
You just have a, and New York was already a hustling bustling center of dissemination of information.

36:57.200 --> 37:00.200
So if it got to the New York Tribune, this is a big deal.

37:00.200 --> 37:01.200
Right.

37:01.200 --> 37:05.200
And so what happened after October 22, 1844?

37:05.200 --> 37:11.200
Well, a couple of people just abandoned their faith altogether.

37:11.200 --> 37:14.200
So here's the danger of following something that's not biblical.

37:14.200 --> 37:17.200
A bunch of people just ended up in hell because they just gave up.

37:17.200 --> 37:19.200
They're just like, I, this is stupid.

37:19.200 --> 37:21.200
This is like in the tens of thousands.

37:21.200 --> 37:22.200
Right.

37:22.200 --> 37:26.200
And then other people just believed that he was coming later.

37:26.200 --> 37:27.200
They actually agreed with Miller.

37:27.200 --> 37:29.200
They were just like, well, maybe.

37:29.200 --> 37:33.200
And out of that, you get groups like the Advent Christians,

37:33.200 --> 37:38.200
the Jehovah's Witnesses are technically a spinoff of the Seventh-day Adventists.

37:38.200 --> 37:42.200
And they're really a spinoff of William Miller.

37:42.200 --> 37:45.200
That's a much deeper study for another day.

37:45.200 --> 37:52.200
Then you got like a smaller group in the hundreds who ended up joining the Shakers.

37:52.200 --> 37:54.200
If you don't know, don't worry about it right now.

37:54.200 --> 38:00.200
And then you have dozens of people who ended up now with 20 million who created

38:00.200 --> 38:03.200
what's called the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

38:03.200 --> 38:04.200
Right.

38:04.200 --> 38:06.200
And why is it Seventh-day Adventist?

38:06.200 --> 38:10.200
Because they went and studied the Bible and they figured out there was a lot of stuff

38:10.200 --> 38:15.200
that had been hidden from the rest of the world, which is really dumb.

38:15.200 --> 38:17.200
But of course, this is always the claim, right?

38:17.200 --> 38:20.200
They figured something out that nobody else could figure out in the Bible.

38:20.200 --> 38:22.200
Nobody else can read English like them.

38:22.200 --> 38:24.200
Nobody else can decipher words like them.

38:24.200 --> 38:29.200
And they're like the Sabbath and the second coming of Christ are the most important things.

38:29.200 --> 38:32.200
So that's why we're called the Seventh-day Adventists.

38:32.200 --> 38:34.200
We'll go to Deuteronomy 18 right there in verse 20.

38:34.200 --> 38:35.200
What does the Bible say?

38:35.200 --> 38:40.200
The Bible warns strongly, both in the Old and the New Testament, about this type of mentality.

38:40.200 --> 38:43.200
It says, but the prophet in verse 20 says,

38:43.200 --> 38:49.200
which shall presume to speak a word in my name which I have not commanded him to speak,

38:49.200 --> 38:53.200
or they shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

38:53.200 --> 38:58.200
And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken,

38:58.200 --> 39:03.200
when a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass,

39:03.200 --> 39:09.200
that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously,

39:09.200 --> 39:13.200
thou shall not be afraid of him.

39:13.200 --> 39:18.200
You know, when you follow someone, in a way that's a healthy fear, right?

39:18.200 --> 39:21.200
You accept that leadership, you're submitting to that.

39:21.200 --> 39:24.200
The Bible says, hey, you need to blow this person off.

39:24.200 --> 39:30.200
That's why when someone says, oh, the pope said something, you know, on the news the pope said whatever.

39:30.200 --> 39:33.200
You know, every few months the pope decides to change something.

39:33.200 --> 39:35.200
I'm like, well, whatever, I don't care.

39:35.200 --> 39:39.200
Because the pope's nothing to me because none of the stuff he says is biblical.

39:39.200 --> 39:46.200
Deuteronomy 13, go back to Deuteronomy 13, just a couple of chapters back, right there in verse 1,

39:46.200 --> 39:51.200
the Bible says, if there arise among you a prophet in verse 1,

39:51.200 --> 39:55.200
or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

39:55.200 --> 39:59.200
and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee,

39:59.200 --> 40:04.200
saying, let us go after other gods which thou hast not known, and let us serve them,

40:04.200 --> 40:09.200
thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or of the dreamer of dreams,

40:09.200 --> 40:14.200
for the Lord your God proveth you to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart,

40:14.200 --> 40:18.200
and with all your soul, ye shall walk after the Lord your God,

40:18.200 --> 40:22.200
and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice,

40:22.200 --> 40:25.200
and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him,

40:25.200 --> 40:30.200
and that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death,

40:30.200 --> 40:33.200
because he hath spoken to turn you away from the Lord your God,

40:33.200 --> 40:37.200
which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage,

40:37.200 --> 40:43.200
to thrust thee out of the way which the Lord thy God commandeth thee to walk in,

40:43.200 --> 40:47.200
so shalt thou put that evil away from the midst of this.

40:47.200 --> 40:52.200
Hey, this is a serious thing. God says, hey, you need to put that evil away from you.

40:52.200 --> 40:55.200
One of the accusations we get, I know I brought this up,

40:55.200 --> 40:58.200
but we need to be more firm on calling this stuff out,

40:58.200 --> 41:01.200
even if we get accused for calling people out.

41:01.200 --> 41:04.200
We are not respecter of persons. This is a serious thing.

41:04.200 --> 41:07.200
People are going to hell in the seventh event.

41:07.200 --> 41:10.200
I have literally, I can name names.

41:10.200 --> 41:15.200
You won't know these people, but Evelyn, and Danny, and Hassad,

41:15.200 --> 41:18.200
and all these people that I grew up with are going to hell

41:18.200 --> 41:21.200
because they are convinced their second, third generation advances,

41:21.200 --> 41:25.200
the Picheros, and the Megos, all these guys are going to hell.

41:25.200 --> 41:29.200
I don't even think they are watching. I'm just saying, I can just rattle, I grew up,

41:29.200 --> 41:32.200
this is a culture, these are people's lives at stake,

41:32.200 --> 41:35.200
and a lot of them are passing away, and they are dying,

41:35.200 --> 41:38.200
and the minute they pass away, you know where they are at? They are in hell.

41:38.200 --> 41:41.200
Because they thought that they were just going to soul sleep,

41:41.200 --> 41:46.200
and they are coming to the harsh reality that there is no more, there is no exit.

41:46.200 --> 41:50.200
Go to Acts 1, in Matthew 24, I will read for you,

41:50.200 --> 41:53.200
in Matthew 24, but in Acts 1, the Bible says, I mean in Acts 1,

41:53.200 --> 41:56.200
I will read for you really quick in Matthew 24, in verse 35,

41:56.200 --> 42:01.200
the Bible says, Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my word shall not pass away,

42:01.200 --> 42:07.200
but of that day and hour knoweth no man, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

42:07.200 --> 42:11.200
And if you go to the Seventh-day Adventist website, and you read their history,

42:11.200 --> 42:14.200
they are like, oh, you know, William Miller was wrong.

42:14.200 --> 42:17.200
So they admit it, they don't even hide it, and then they will quote this verse,

42:17.200 --> 42:20.200
and they are like, oh, well, it's because he didn't, I guess he forgot this verse,

42:20.200 --> 42:24.200
you know, he didn't read this verse, so, but we know better.

42:24.200 --> 42:30.200
If you go to Acts 1, verse 6, Jesus is with all the witnesses,

42:30.200 --> 42:35.200
he is about to ascend to heaven, and it says there, in verse number 6, it says,

42:35.200 --> 42:39.200
When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord,

42:39.200 --> 42:41.200
will thou at this time restore again the kingdom of Israel?

42:41.200 --> 42:46.200
And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons,

42:46.200 --> 42:48.200
which the Father hath put in his own power.

42:48.200 --> 42:52.200
But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you,

42:52.200 --> 42:58.200
and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria,

42:58.200 --> 43:00.200
and unto the uttermost parts of the earth.

43:00.200 --> 43:04.200
And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up,

43:04.200 --> 43:06.200
and the cloud received him out of their sight.

43:06.200 --> 43:09.200
And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven, as he went up,

43:09.200 --> 43:14.200
behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, which also said, ye men of Galilee,

43:14.200 --> 43:17.200
why stand ye gazing up into heaven?

43:17.200 --> 43:21.200
This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven,

43:21.200 --> 43:25.200
shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

43:25.200 --> 43:30.200
Man, these verses are powerful for just a bunch of false religions, right?

43:30.200 --> 43:32.200
Because, you know, we don't believe in the pre-trip rapture,

43:32.200 --> 43:35.200
because it says, hey, everybody's going to see him, right?

43:35.200 --> 43:37.200
We don't believe what these guys are saying,

43:37.200 --> 43:41.200
because Jesus was clear that nobody's going to know when he's coming.

43:41.200 --> 43:44.200
What did he say? He said, you will receive the Holy Ghost,

43:44.200 --> 43:47.200
and you need to go out and preach the Word of God.

43:47.200 --> 43:51.200
See, the problem is people read this, and what they want to do is what they want to do.

43:51.200 --> 43:52.200
That's the problem, right?

43:52.200 --> 43:56.200
Instead of saying, oh, you know what, you're right, God, this looks really interesting.

43:56.200 --> 43:59.200
I love the book of Daniel, and I love the book of Revelation,

43:59.200 --> 44:01.200
but you know what, it's not the most important thing.

44:01.200 --> 44:04.200
The most important thing is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

44:04.200 --> 44:06.200
And you know what Seventh-day Adventists don't do?

44:06.200 --> 44:10.200
They don't preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, right?

44:10.200 --> 44:16.200
So just a really quick recap here of the movement.

44:16.200 --> 44:20.200
What they ended up doing is they then rebranded, right?

44:20.200 --> 44:22.200
And isn't that the common thing?

44:22.200 --> 44:24.200
Jehovah's Witnesses are known for this stuff.

44:24.200 --> 44:27.200
The Mormons have the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,

44:27.200 --> 44:31.200
which is just like the little baby church before you get to the temple,

44:31.200 --> 44:34.200
before you get to the secret handshakes, you know,

44:34.200 --> 44:38.200
before you can do the gang signs, you got to start at the baby church.

44:38.200 --> 44:42.200
The Seventh-day Adventists don't have that, but they also have some weird stuff.

44:42.200 --> 44:47.200
And so what ended up happening is they changed that prophecy, the end times prophecy,

44:47.200 --> 44:54.200
and they invented, really the prophecy became the shut door or the investigative judgment.

44:54.200 --> 44:59.200
And they claimed that Jesus entered into the heavenly phase in 1844.

44:59.200 --> 45:03.200
And so what they'll do is they'll just go to these doctors,

45:03.200 --> 45:07.200
but go over to Colossians 2, go over to Colossians 2 really quick.

45:07.200 --> 45:09.200
And I'll read for you in Proverbs 30 verse 5.

45:09.200 --> 45:10.200
The Bible says,

45:10.200 --> 45:13.200
Every word of God is pure.

45:13.200 --> 45:15.200
He is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

45:15.200 --> 45:20.200
And thou not, add thou not unto his words,

45:20.200 --> 45:24.200
lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

45:24.200 --> 45:26.200
And by the way, you know, I have no problem.

45:26.200 --> 45:27.200
We have to read, right?

45:27.200 --> 45:28.200
We have to be educated.

45:28.200 --> 45:30.200
We have to educate ourselves.

45:30.200 --> 45:36.200
There's a difference between reading and learning stuff and treating it as doctrine, right?

45:36.200 --> 45:41.200
I mean, isn't that the argument of like the Orthodox or Catholic Church

45:41.200 --> 45:43.200
is that you have to read the Church Fathers, right?

45:43.200 --> 45:45.200
And the Church Fathers knew stuff.

45:45.200 --> 45:47.200
Well, the Bible knows everything.

45:47.200 --> 45:49.200
So that's really what I'm concerned about.

45:49.200 --> 45:52.200
Go to Colossians right there in Colossians 2 and verse 5.

45:52.200 --> 45:53.200
The Bible says,

45:53.200 --> 45:59.200
For though I be absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in the Spirit,

45:59.200 --> 46:04.200
joining and beholding your order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ,

46:04.200 --> 46:07.200
as ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord,

46:07.200 --> 46:11.200
so walk ye in him, rooted and built up in him,

46:11.200 --> 46:14.200
established in the phase as ye have been taught,

46:14.200 --> 46:17.200
abounding therein with thanksgiving.

46:17.200 --> 46:23.200
Beware, lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit

46:23.200 --> 46:27.200
after the tradition of man, after the rudiments of the world,

46:27.200 --> 46:29.200
and not after Christ.

46:29.200 --> 46:34.200
For in him dwelleth the fullness of the Godhead bodily.

46:34.200 --> 46:35.200
You don't have to turn there.

46:35.200 --> 46:37.200
I'll read for you real quick in Titus 1.

46:37.200 --> 46:38.200
In verse 13, the Bible says,

46:38.200 --> 46:43.200
This witness is true, wherefore rebuke them sharply, right?

46:43.200 --> 46:45.200
For they may be sound in the faith,

46:45.200 --> 46:49.200
not given heed to Jewish fables and commandments of men,

46:49.200 --> 46:52.200
that turn from the truth unto the pure.

46:52.200 --> 46:56.200
All things are pure, but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure.

46:56.200 --> 46:59.200
But even their minds and conscience is defiled.

46:59.200 --> 47:01.200
They profess that they know God,

47:01.200 --> 47:04.200
but in their works they deny him being abominable and disobedient,

47:04.200 --> 47:07.200
and unto every good work reprobate.

47:07.200 --> 47:12.200
And you say, why is it, you know, this really stands out to me even more now, right?

47:12.200 --> 47:13.200
Not given heed to Jewish fables.

47:13.200 --> 47:16.200
We're about to go to the anti-Israel conference, right?

47:16.200 --> 47:18.200
Which is the false religion of Judaism.

47:18.200 --> 47:22.200
But you know what's also interesting is all these little spin-offs,

47:22.200 --> 47:24.200
like the Seventh-day Adventists, they have what?

47:24.200 --> 47:26.200
Jewish fables, right?

47:26.200 --> 47:28.200
They're like, you need to keep the Sabbath.

47:28.200 --> 47:30.200
I thought Jesus was our Sabbath.

47:30.200 --> 47:32.200
I thought he was our rest.

47:32.200 --> 47:35.200
Oh, you need to eat only the foods in the Levitical law.

47:35.200 --> 47:39.200
I thought we shouldn't be judged by what we eat or by what we consume.

47:39.200 --> 47:43.200
The Lord said, hey, whatever I bless, it's blessed, right?

47:43.200 --> 47:45.200
Let no man call it unclean.

47:45.200 --> 47:47.200
So which one is it?

47:47.200 --> 47:50.200
It's really confusing to me.

47:50.200 --> 47:53.200
Point number two, like I said, I only have three points,

47:53.200 --> 47:57.200
and it's really just a, I could have done like a series on this one,

47:57.200 --> 47:59.200
because you know, I just know so much,

47:59.200 --> 48:01.200
but I was like, how do I keep this simple?

48:01.200 --> 48:03.200
It was way too much, right?

48:03.200 --> 48:05.200
Let's talk about L.A.G. White,

48:05.200 --> 48:09.200
because that's really what the Seventh-day Adventists are known for.

48:09.200 --> 48:11.200
They'll deny this in certain circles,

48:11.200 --> 48:13.200
but if you just press them enough,

48:13.200 --> 48:17.200
and you, you know, L.A.G. White is the equivalent of the Pope

48:17.200 --> 48:19.200
for the Seventh-day Adventists, right?

48:19.200 --> 48:22.200
Nobody really claims the Pope, but if you talk bad about the Pope,

48:22.200 --> 48:25.200
you know, it's kind of like I was watching this comedian talk about,

48:25.200 --> 48:27.200
you know, siblings, right?

48:27.200 --> 48:29.200
You can be mean to your sibling,

48:29.200 --> 48:32.200
and you can call them an idiot, and you can call them stupid,

48:32.200 --> 48:34.200
and they can do the same thing to you,

48:34.200 --> 48:36.200
but the minute somebody else calls your brother an idiot,

48:36.200 --> 48:38.200
you know, you got to defend them.

48:38.200 --> 48:40.200
That's kind of L.A.G. White.

48:40.200 --> 48:42.200
She's like the redheaded stepchild.

48:42.200 --> 48:44.200
Nobody really claims her, but the minute you attack her,

48:44.200 --> 48:46.200
everybody's there to defend her.

48:46.200 --> 48:48.200
It's kind of weird, right?

48:48.200 --> 48:50.200
And so she, the way that this happened is,

48:50.200 --> 48:54.200
so she becomes like the pivotal point of the Seventh-day Adventists.

48:54.200 --> 48:59.200
She is the prophetess that gave them the authority to build the church.

48:59.200 --> 49:01.200
She's their Pope.

49:01.200 --> 49:03.200
She's their Joseph Smith.

49:03.200 --> 49:07.200
That's who it is, which is weird because I thought I preached last week

49:07.200 --> 49:10.200
about women preachers and how they just don't exist,

49:10.200 --> 49:13.200
and how the Bible says that a woman should not usurp the authority,

49:13.200 --> 49:16.200
the usurp, sorry, the authority of the man,

49:16.200 --> 49:19.200
but the Seventh-day Adventist religion is so effeminate,

49:19.200 --> 49:22.200
it's literally built on a woman,

49:22.200 --> 49:25.200
which is even like just on that alone, it's gay, right?

49:25.200 --> 49:27.200
Like it's just, come on.

49:27.200 --> 49:30.200
And really it was always uncomfortable to be growing up

49:30.200 --> 49:33.200
that we had to listen to the teachings of a woman,

49:33.200 --> 49:37.200
because my dad, he's always been old school, man's man.

49:37.200 --> 49:40.200
If you ask my mom, she's a macho,

49:40.200 --> 49:43.200
and she said, you're just like your dad, you're such a macho,

49:43.200 --> 49:45.200
which that's a whole other servant,

49:45.200 --> 49:47.200
but my dad's a man's man, right?

49:47.200 --> 49:49.200
And it was always difficult for me to do that.

49:49.200 --> 49:51.200
But one of the things that happened,

49:51.200 --> 49:55.200
so following the Great Disappointment in October 22 of 1844,

49:55.200 --> 49:59.200
they anticipated the Second Coming of Christ and it failed.

49:59.200 --> 50:04.200
So Hiram Etzen, a Millerite lay preacher from Port Gibson, New York,

50:04.200 --> 50:10.200
experienced profound anguish alongside fellow believers gathered at his farm.

50:10.200 --> 50:16.200
And so the next morning, he goes out to resolve this disappointment, right?

50:16.200 --> 50:22.200
And he's walking his property with this guy by the name of Franklin B. Hahn,

50:22.200 --> 50:26.200
a physician and a fellow seeker, and as they, this is funny,

50:26.200 --> 50:29.200
as they traversed a cornfield en route to neighboring believers,

50:29.200 --> 50:34.200
Etzen later recounted feeling a divine impression,

50:34.200 --> 50:37.200
as if the hand of the Lord was upon him,

50:37.200 --> 50:42.200
leading him to an abrupt halt, amid a sense of overwhelming glory.

50:42.200 --> 50:46.200
I guess he just got possessed by the devil, is what it sounds like, right?

50:46.200 --> 50:50.200
And so in this experience, Etzen described a visionary revelation

50:50.200 --> 50:52.200
rather than an ecstatic trance,

50:52.200 --> 50:57.200
and he perceived Christ not descending to earth as previously expected,

50:57.200 --> 51:02.200
but instead entering the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary

51:02.200 --> 51:06.200
to commence a phase of priestly ministry.

51:06.200 --> 51:08.200
So he's like, so weird, right?

51:08.200 --> 51:12.200
He's just walking and he's like, that's what happened.

51:12.200 --> 51:16.200
And he's like, now he's like, now it's all good, right?

51:16.200 --> 51:19.200
And so what ends up happening is when he tells others about this,

51:19.200 --> 51:25.200
they recruit this guy by the name of ORL Crozier,

51:25.200 --> 51:29.200
a schoolteacher versed in Hebrew, and they articulate the concept,

51:29.200 --> 51:33.200
they're like, hey, this happened, can you help us?

51:33.200 --> 51:37.200
And what it says is that they're like, oh yeah,

51:37.200 --> 51:42.200
they're linking it to the 2300-day prophecy in that book of Daniel,

51:42.200 --> 51:46.200
and they're like, oh yeah, it doesn't in 1844, and you're right,

51:46.200 --> 51:51.200
it's that he was entering into the holies of holies and he wasn't coming back.

51:51.200 --> 51:56.200
And the reason I say this is this is called the cornfield epiphany.

51:56.200 --> 52:00.200
Hey, they don't deny this, the Seventh-day Adventist,

52:00.200 --> 52:03.200
and this is what influenced Ellen G. White.

52:03.200 --> 52:08.200
She took that as a 17-year-old girl and ran with it,

52:08.200 --> 52:10.200
which by the way, there's so much I could say about Ellen G. White,

52:10.200 --> 52:13.200
but as a young girl, like before she was 17, she was in school,

52:13.200 --> 52:18.200
she got hit by a rock, she was actually severely damaged in the head,

52:18.200 --> 52:23.200
she actually went into a coma, and this ought to probably explain

52:23.200 --> 52:26.200
what I'm about to say here about Ellen G. White.

52:26.200 --> 52:30.200
So it influenced Ellen G. White's subsequent visions,

52:30.200 --> 52:33.200
and it's believed that she had over 2000 visions,

52:33.200 --> 52:38.200
confirming the sanctuary theme and shaped Seventh-day Adventist eschatology,

52:38.200 --> 52:41.200
including emphasis on character preparation,

52:41.200 --> 52:44.200
amid probations, closure.

52:44.200 --> 52:48.200
So White's prolific output, she wrote over 50 books,

52:48.200 --> 52:54.200
over 5000 periodical articles, compiled into 100-volume corpus

52:54.200 --> 52:58.200
that remains authoritative for the Seventh-day Adventists.

52:58.200 --> 53:02.200
And I've literally been in Seventh-day Adventist pastors' offices,

53:02.200 --> 53:06.200
and they have like one Bible and then all of her writings.

53:06.200 --> 53:08.200
And they're like there's just book after book.

53:08.200 --> 53:10.200
And you know they haven't read it because if they would read it,

53:10.200 --> 53:12.200
they'd run the other way quickly.

53:12.200 --> 53:14.200
Because I've actually read some of the stuff in those books,

53:14.200 --> 53:16.200
and it's just like insane.

53:16.200 --> 53:19.200
I'm going to give you just two examples, because it's a hundred,

53:19.200 --> 53:21.200
you know, this is way too much, right?

53:21.200 --> 53:24.200
There's a website called whiteestate.org,

53:24.200 --> 53:27.200
which is literally dedicated to all her writings.

53:27.200 --> 53:29.200
And in there they explain everything,

53:29.200 --> 53:32.200
and there's literally an article on the website.

53:32.200 --> 53:35.200
This is from their website, so just I want to be clear.

53:35.200 --> 53:36.200
It says,

53:36.200 --> 53:42.200
comments regarding unusual statements found in Ellen G. White's writings.

53:42.200 --> 53:45.200
So what ended up happening is people are like reading this stuff,

53:45.200 --> 53:48.200
they're like, yo, this doesn't line up, this is kind of weird.

53:48.200 --> 53:50.200
So they're like, well, let us explain it.

53:50.200 --> 53:53.200
It's kind of like the people that are like, hey, there's errors in the Bible,

53:53.200 --> 53:56.200
and so we as Baptists will look into it and we'll explain it,

53:56.200 --> 53:58.200
but the Bible explains itself, right?

53:58.200 --> 54:00.200
We don't have to make up stuff, like I can explain to you

54:00.200 --> 54:03.200
why something might seem contradictory.

54:03.200 --> 54:05.200
And if you go to a good Baptist church where they're preaching the Bible,

54:05.200 --> 54:08.200
it's going to make sense, but this lady was just nuts.

54:08.200 --> 54:09.200
Right?

54:09.200 --> 54:12.200
And here she writes in one of them, she said, this is quote,

54:12.200 --> 54:20.200
but if there was one sin above another which called for the destruction of the race by the flood,

54:20.200 --> 54:24.200
it was the base crime of amalgamation of man and beast,

54:24.200 --> 54:27.200
which defaced the image of God and caused confusion everywhere.

54:27.200 --> 54:31.200
God purposed to destroy by a flood that powerful long-lived race

54:31.200 --> 54:34.200
that had corrupted their ways before him.

54:34.200 --> 54:39.200
And this is written in the Spiritual Gifts, volume three, page 64.

54:39.200 --> 54:44.200
She says, every species of animal which God had created were preserved in the ark.

54:44.200 --> 54:48.200
The confused species which God did not create,

54:48.200 --> 54:51.200
which were the result of amalgamation, were destroyed by the flood.

54:51.200 --> 54:55.200
Since the flood, there had been amalgamation of man and beast

54:55.200 --> 55:00.200
as may have been seen in the almost endless varieties of species of animals

55:00.200 --> 55:02.200
and in certain races of men.

55:02.200 --> 55:05.200
Now if you don't know what she's talking about, it's because she doesn't know how to write.

55:05.200 --> 55:08.200
And the word amalgamation is talking about mixing metals.

55:08.200 --> 55:12.200
It says she didn't know what the real definition was of amalgamation

55:12.200 --> 55:14.200
because this is what they explained.

55:14.200 --> 55:20.200
You know, she was ignorant, she just used it to explain the mixing of humans with animals.

55:20.200 --> 55:25.200
She's saying that there was other animals that just came out because of this weird thing.

55:25.200 --> 55:27.200
What?

55:27.200 --> 55:28.200
It's weird.

55:28.200 --> 55:30.200
You know what the Bible says about bestiality?

55:30.200 --> 55:32.200
That you put them to death.

55:32.200 --> 55:36.200
Everything springs forth after its own seed.

55:36.200 --> 55:38.200
That's why we have people, how do you lead someone to Christ?

55:38.200 --> 55:42.200
Somebody has to be saved from faith to faith.

55:42.200 --> 55:44.200
That's the only way to do so.

55:44.200 --> 55:45.200
And then here's another one.

55:45.200 --> 55:47.200
Like I said, I'm just going to make these quick.

55:47.200 --> 55:49.200
This is from another writer.

55:49.200 --> 55:54.200
It says, less than three months after she and James were married in 1846,

55:54.200 --> 55:59.200
she had a vision at the Curtis home in Top Shamain in the presence of Joseph Bates.

55:59.200 --> 56:04.200
Although Bates had seen Ellen White in visions on several occasions,

56:04.200 --> 56:06.200
he still had doubts about her prophetic gift.

56:06.200 --> 56:11.200
But through the Top Sham vision, he was convinced that the work is of God.

56:11.200 --> 56:20.200
James White reported that in the vision, Mrs. White was guided to the planet Jupiter, Saturn, and I think one more.

56:20.200 --> 56:24.200
After she came out of the vision, she could give a clear description of the moons.

56:24.200 --> 56:27.200
It is well known that she knew nothing of astronomy

56:27.200 --> 56:32.200
and could not answer one question in relation to the planets before she had the vision.

56:32.200 --> 56:37.200
So of course, if she now can explain astronomy not knowing astronomy, then it must be of God, right?

56:37.200 --> 56:43.200
Or she could just be a charlatan, which is actually very common in that time where people knew stuff.

56:43.200 --> 56:46.200
You know, as a matter of fact, to this day, that's a very common thing, right?

56:46.200 --> 56:51.200
Now with technology, they do that where, you know, if I asked somebody to come up here in a wheelchair,

56:51.200 --> 56:54.200
you know, they tell me that they just got hurt.

56:54.200 --> 56:56.200
They twisted their ankle, but they're much better.

56:56.200 --> 56:59.200
And then I'm like, did you get hurt? You know, did you trip?

56:59.200 --> 57:01.200
And then, of course, I'd be like, get up and walk.

57:01.200 --> 57:04.200
And then everybody danced, right? It's all just a show.

57:04.200 --> 57:06.200
It's charlatan. That's what she was doing.

57:06.200 --> 57:10.200
And this guy then was like convinced about it.

57:10.200 --> 57:14.200
In it, she writes in this book, she writes, I was wrapped in a vision of God's glory.

57:14.200 --> 57:18.200
And for the first time had a view of the planets.

57:18.200 --> 57:28.200
And she also has weird, you know, beliefs about aliens and about who Jesus really is and just other weird stuff.

57:28.200 --> 57:30.200
Now, let me just give you the highlights.

57:30.200 --> 57:32.200
Like I said, this is important.

57:32.200 --> 57:37.200
And like I just waited so long. I mean, I hate the Seventh-day Adventist religion.

57:37.200 --> 57:41.200
If you don't get that by the end of this preaching, I don't know. I did a horrible job.

57:41.200 --> 57:43.200
I wish that God would destroy all those false prophets.

57:43.200 --> 57:45.200
I wish they would all die today.

57:45.200 --> 57:51.200
Like honestly, they should just be put to death and they should just stop living because a lot of people think they're living a good life.

57:51.200 --> 57:54.200
Seventh-day Adventists, you know, are moral for the most part.

57:54.200 --> 57:56.200
But morality doesn't get you to heaven.

57:56.200 --> 57:59.200
You know, they try to live right. They try to not defraud people.

57:59.200 --> 58:01.200
They try to do right by others.

58:01.200 --> 58:04.200
They try to be healthy, but they don't have Christ.

58:04.200 --> 58:07.200
And they're all going to hell, right?

58:07.200 --> 58:09.200
Right here, this is from their website. It says,

58:09.200 --> 58:14.200
Over the 15 years after the Millerite movement, they basically had Bible conferences.

58:14.200 --> 58:15.200
They established the church.

58:15.200 --> 58:17.200
And these are the main tenets that they were focused on.

58:17.200 --> 58:19.200
Christ's second coming is eminent.

58:19.200 --> 58:21.200
It will be seen by the world.

58:21.200 --> 58:23.200
It will be literal, not metaphorical.

58:23.200 --> 58:25.200
The Seventh-day Adventist Saturday has got Sabbath,

58:25.200 --> 58:28.200
the fourth commandment, instruction to celebrate and keep it.

58:28.200 --> 58:32.200
It remains literal to this day along with the rest of the Ten of Commandments.

58:32.200 --> 58:34.200
Thanks for clearing stuff up for us.

58:34.200 --> 58:36.200
We all know it's literal.

58:36.200 --> 58:39.200
But we also know that Hebrews tells us what's the literal Sabbath.

58:39.200 --> 58:41.200
Jesus Christ!

58:41.200 --> 58:44.200
Right? I don't have to take a day off.

58:44.200 --> 58:47.200
I already have spiritual rest.

58:47.200 --> 58:49.200
Now, you should take some time off.

58:49.200 --> 58:51.200
That's a whole other thing.

58:51.200 --> 58:55.200
It says here, God does not eternally torment sinners,

58:55.200 --> 58:59.200
but rather the dead sleep until the second coming and last judgment.

58:59.200 --> 59:01.200
I guess they forgot to read all the parts,

59:01.200 --> 59:03.200
where there will be gnashing and wailing of teeth,

59:03.200 --> 59:05.200
where the rich man is looking up,

59:05.200 --> 59:07.200
and he's like, hey, just dip your finger in water.

59:07.200 --> 59:10.200
By the way, the Seventh-day Adventists teach that as a parable,

59:10.200 --> 59:12.200
not as a reality.

59:12.200 --> 59:14.200
Right?

59:14.200 --> 59:18.200
God now ministers in his heavenly sanctuary,

59:18.200 --> 59:21.200
Christ, sorry, now ministers in his heavenly sanctuary,

59:21.200 --> 59:26.200
thereby mediating to us the benefits of his death on the cross,

59:26.200 --> 59:29.200
saving us by his righteousness and not our own deeds.

59:29.200 --> 59:31.200
In the last days of this earth,

59:31.200 --> 59:33.200
Christians will be tempted by the apostasy,

59:33.200 --> 59:35.200
but be called back to divine truth.

59:35.200 --> 59:37.200
And what they mean by this,

59:37.200 --> 59:39.200
because they didn't explain it there,

59:39.200 --> 59:41.200
but I know what they mean,

59:41.200 --> 59:43.200
is that they think that what's going to happen is

59:43.200 --> 59:45.200
we're going to implement a Sunday law,

59:45.200 --> 59:47.200
and only those people that go to church on Saturday

59:47.200 --> 59:49.200
are the true believers in Christ.

59:49.200 --> 59:52.200
And what they'll do is they'll reference the blue,

59:52.200 --> 59:54.200
what are they called, the blue laws?

59:54.200 --> 59:56.200
What are they called?

59:56.200 --> 59:58.200
The blue laws, you know, in the 70s,

59:58.200 --> 01:00:00.200
where everything had to close down Sunday.

01:00:00.200 --> 01:00:02.200
They're like, those guys were evil,

01:00:02.200 --> 01:00:04.200
and that evil is coming back again,

01:00:04.200 --> 01:00:07.200
just so you know what they're dealing with here.

01:00:07.200 --> 01:00:09.200
And then it says,

01:00:09.200 --> 01:00:11.200
this remnant will be marked by the recurrence of prophetic ministry,

01:00:11.200 --> 01:00:14.200
and many people will display prophetic gift

01:00:14.200 --> 01:00:16.200
and proclaim the good news.

01:00:16.200 --> 01:00:18.200
Right, so the Seventh Adventist Church,

01:00:18.200 --> 01:00:21.200
they elevate her writings,

01:00:21.200 --> 01:00:23.200
even sometimes above the Bible.

01:00:23.200 --> 01:00:26.200
And she's an authority from God.

01:00:26.200 --> 01:00:28.200
They really believe that she's a prophetess,

01:00:28.200 --> 01:00:30.200
that she had all these visions,

01:00:30.200 --> 01:00:32.200
and that to this day her prophecies are coming true,

01:00:32.200 --> 01:00:35.200
especially the one about Sunday worship.

01:00:35.200 --> 01:00:39.200
For the sake of time, just go to Revelation 22.

01:00:39.200 --> 01:00:42.200
Go to Revelation 22.

01:00:42.200 --> 01:00:44.200
And in Isaiah 8, verse 20,

01:00:44.200 --> 01:00:46.200
the Bible says,

01:00:46.200 --> 01:00:49.200
If they speak not according to this word,

01:00:49.200 --> 01:00:54.200
it is because there is no light in them.

01:00:54.200 --> 01:00:59.200
But remember, Satan can manifest himself as an angel of light,

01:00:59.200 --> 01:01:01.200
but we need to recognize the light.

01:01:01.200 --> 01:01:04.200
It's kind of like these lights that are shining in my face right now.

01:01:04.200 --> 01:01:06.200
This is artificial light, right?

01:01:06.200 --> 01:01:08.200
The best light to get is what?

01:01:08.200 --> 01:01:09.200
The light that's outside.

01:01:09.200 --> 01:01:10.200
And what does the world tell you?

01:01:10.200 --> 01:01:12.200
Hey, don't spend too much time in the sun,

01:01:12.200 --> 01:01:14.200
because you might get cancer.

01:01:14.200 --> 01:01:17.200
Well, I think I might get cancer just because of all the chemicals

01:01:17.200 --> 01:01:18.200
that are out of the world,

01:01:18.200 --> 01:01:20.200
not necessarily because of the sun, right?

01:01:20.200 --> 01:01:22.200
I mean, I know people, because I grew up,

01:01:22.200 --> 01:01:25.200
you know, my mom was from Tampico, which is on the Gulf Coast.

01:01:25.200 --> 01:01:27.200
Who's ever seen those leather-skinned people

01:01:27.200 --> 01:01:29.200
that just grew up on the beach?

01:01:29.200 --> 01:01:30.200
You ever met those people?

01:01:30.200 --> 01:01:33.200
I mean, it looks like, and they're like really old,

01:01:33.200 --> 01:01:34.200
and they're still living healthy lives,

01:01:34.200 --> 01:01:36.200
and they're like diving in for stuff,

01:01:36.200 --> 01:01:38.200
because the sun is, God created the sun.

01:01:38.200 --> 01:01:40.200
It's not there to destroy you.

01:01:40.200 --> 01:01:42.200
I think, personally, I'm not a doctor,

01:01:42.200 --> 01:01:44.200
so this is just my personal opinion.

01:01:44.200 --> 01:01:46.200
We put so much crap on our bodies,

01:01:46.200 --> 01:01:48.200
and then we bake it in with the sun

01:01:48.200 --> 01:01:49.200
and cause a chemical reaction.

01:01:49.200 --> 01:01:51.200
Of course we're going to get sick, right?

01:01:51.200 --> 01:01:52.200
Like, it's just, you know, whatever.

01:01:52.200 --> 01:01:54.200
But you're there in Revelation 22, where it says,

01:01:54.200 --> 01:01:55.200
in verse 18,

01:02:15.200 --> 01:02:17.200
What's the purpose of preaching against these religions?

01:02:17.200 --> 01:02:19.200
Well, number one, God said to do it.

01:02:19.200 --> 01:02:20.200
He said to mark them.

01:02:20.200 --> 01:02:23.200
So the purpose is that I'm just doing what God told me to do.

01:02:23.200 --> 01:02:26.200
But number two is that there's a deception out there,

01:02:26.200 --> 01:02:27.200
and we need to fight it,

01:02:27.200 --> 01:02:29.200
because people are being recruited

01:02:29.200 --> 01:02:31.200
to all these false religions all the time.

01:02:31.200 --> 01:02:33.200
You know, anytime there's a resurgence

01:02:33.200 --> 01:02:36.200
in like a spiritual movement,

01:02:36.200 --> 01:02:40.200
you know, we are in the recruiting business, right, in a way,

01:02:40.200 --> 01:02:42.200
if you wanted to dumb it down,

01:02:42.200 --> 01:02:44.200
but we're in the eternal recruitment business.

01:02:44.200 --> 01:02:46.200
We're going to preach faith by alone,

01:02:46.200 --> 01:02:48.200
you know, the word of God alone.

01:02:48.200 --> 01:02:49.200
But anytime that we start having success,

01:02:49.200 --> 01:02:51.200
you know what the devil's going to do?

01:02:51.200 --> 01:02:53.200
He's going to bring in other stuff

01:02:53.200 --> 01:02:55.200
so he can recruit them away from you, right?

01:02:55.200 --> 01:02:56.200
That's the goal.

01:02:56.200 --> 01:03:00.200
And all these religions have their ebbs and flows,

01:03:00.200 --> 01:03:02.200
but it just depends on, and right now,

01:03:02.200 --> 01:03:05.200
there's this like movement to find like the conservative churches,

01:03:05.200 --> 01:03:07.200
you know, the Catholics are on the rise,

01:03:07.200 --> 01:03:09.200
and all these weird religions are on the rise,

01:03:09.200 --> 01:03:11.200
because people are looking for the truth.

01:03:11.200 --> 01:03:13.200
They're tired of the fun centers.

01:03:13.200 --> 01:03:16.200
You know, Seventh-day Adventists are known for being more conservative.

01:03:16.200 --> 01:03:19.200
You know, who's ever heard of Ben Carson?

01:03:19.200 --> 01:03:20.200
I don't know if you know that,

01:03:20.200 --> 01:03:22.200
but he's the Seventh-day Adventist devil.

01:03:22.200 --> 01:03:24.200
I can't stand Ben Carson as far as I can throw him, right?

01:03:24.200 --> 01:03:27.200
I just, you know, just so you guys know, he was a bad,

01:03:27.200 --> 01:03:28.200
I'm glad he didn't become president.

01:03:28.200 --> 01:03:30.200
I'm glad Mitt Romney didn't become president,

01:03:30.200 --> 01:03:32.200
because, I mean, I don't know.

01:03:32.200 --> 01:03:35.200
It's just, that's a whole other thing.

01:03:35.200 --> 01:03:38.200
So I already touched on her, on her visions.

01:03:38.200 --> 01:03:43.200
I just wanted to give you just an idea of like what her visions were like, right?

01:03:43.200 --> 01:03:45.200
And so here it is.

01:03:45.200 --> 01:03:46.200
It says,

01:03:46.200 --> 01:03:50.200
White's visions were typically accompanied by dramatic physical phenomenon.

01:03:50.200 --> 01:03:54.200
She would fall into a trance-like state, cease breathing,

01:03:54.200 --> 01:03:56.200
which I don't know how you would do that,

01:03:56.200 --> 01:03:58.200
because if you stop breathing, you die.

01:03:58.200 --> 01:04:05.200
Just maintaining rapid heartbeat, exhibit supernaturally strong muscles.

01:04:05.200 --> 01:04:09.200
Apparently, she could hold 20-pound Bibles in her hand for hours at a time.

01:04:09.200 --> 01:04:12.200
This is just what's been said here.

01:04:12.200 --> 01:04:18.200
And speak coherently with eyes open, but unblinking and unseen.

01:04:18.200 --> 01:04:20.200
Man, I wouldn't like to play the blinking game with her.

01:04:20.200 --> 01:04:22.200
Remember that? Who's ever played the blinking game with you?

01:04:22.200 --> 01:04:24.200
You know, you don't blink?

01:04:24.200 --> 01:04:25.200
She was nuts.

01:04:25.200 --> 01:04:28.200
You know what this reminds me of when I read this?

01:04:28.200 --> 01:04:31.200
This reminds me of satanic possession.

01:04:31.200 --> 01:04:33.200
She was demonically possessed.

01:04:33.200 --> 01:04:37.200
This is who's leading a church of 20 million people.

01:04:37.200 --> 01:04:40.200
Like, guys, this is insane that we live in a world where people,

01:04:40.200 --> 01:04:42.200
and I've exposed this truth.

01:04:42.200 --> 01:04:44.200
You can expose this to Seventh-day Adventists,

01:04:44.200 --> 01:04:49.200
and they'll be like, yeah, but, and they're just going to keep going.

01:04:49.200 --> 01:04:52.200
You know, but we need to keep doing it because people will come out of there.

01:04:52.200 --> 01:04:55.200
I mean, I was in Seventh-day Adventists, and I got saved,

01:04:55.200 --> 01:04:58.200
so if I can get saved, a lot of people can get saved.

01:04:58.200 --> 01:05:01.200
I remember getting a call, and I'll start to wrap this thing up,

01:05:01.200 --> 01:05:02.200
but I remember getting a call.

01:05:02.200 --> 01:05:04.200
My wife and I had just recently gotten married,

01:05:04.200 --> 01:05:07.200
and I got a call from a young lady by the name of Hope.

01:05:07.200 --> 01:05:09.200
Well, a young lady, she's a little bit older than me.

01:05:09.200 --> 01:05:11.200
And we called her Hopey.

01:05:11.200 --> 01:05:13.200
We would do all the camps and everything.

01:05:13.200 --> 01:05:16.200
She was kind of older with her husband.

01:05:16.200 --> 01:05:17.200
They were dating at the time.

01:05:17.200 --> 01:05:18.200
They would lead all these camps.

01:05:18.200 --> 01:05:20.200
You know, we're all friends.

01:05:20.200 --> 01:05:24.200
This is like, so my wife and I got married in 2011.

01:05:24.200 --> 01:05:29.200
This is about 2012, so I'd been saved for like almost 10 years now.

01:05:29.200 --> 01:05:33.200
So this is a long time, and I'd already left the Adventists

01:05:33.200 --> 01:05:37.200
because I moved here in 2005, but I stopped really going like in 2003.

01:05:37.200 --> 01:05:40.200
So I'll just give you an idea of how long it's been since I really talked to this person.

01:05:40.200 --> 01:05:45.200
Randomly text me, I think, on Facebook.

01:05:45.200 --> 01:05:50.200
And you know, by the way, any time a lady or a woman texts me, I let my wife know.

01:05:50.200 --> 01:05:53.200
And she has, by the way, this is a side note.

01:05:53.200 --> 01:05:57.200
Men, be transparent with your wives.

01:05:57.200 --> 01:05:59.200
Like if you're hiding something, you're going to get yourself in trouble.

01:05:59.200 --> 01:06:00.200
This is stupid, right?

01:06:00.200 --> 01:06:01.200
My wife knows.

01:06:01.200 --> 01:06:04.200
And I actually was like, hey, honey, I know this lady from back in the day.

01:06:04.200 --> 01:06:06.200
She wants to talk.

01:06:06.200 --> 01:06:08.200
Just be here on speaker.

01:06:08.200 --> 01:06:10.200
It's nothing weird.

01:06:10.200 --> 01:06:14.200
And the first thing she does is like, hey, what's going on, hope, whatever, all the formalities.

01:06:14.200 --> 01:06:17.200
And she's like, hey, are you still a Seventh-day Adventist?

01:06:17.200 --> 01:06:20.200
And I was like, no, I'm not.

01:06:20.200 --> 01:06:24.200
And she's like, yeah, because I remember you shouting off the top of your lungs

01:06:24.200 --> 01:06:30.200
and fighting with all the pastors many years ago about all the weird stuff in the religion.

01:06:30.200 --> 01:06:31.200
I was like, oh, you do?

01:06:31.200 --> 01:06:32.200
I was like, I don't remember.

01:06:32.200 --> 01:06:33.200
That's why I'm saying I don't remember.

01:06:33.200 --> 01:06:36.200
I didn't think I was being that egregious with these guys.

01:06:36.200 --> 01:06:39.200
But apparently I was pretty loud because she remembered.

01:06:39.200 --> 01:06:42.200
And then, you know, God works in great and mysterious ways sometimes.

01:06:42.200 --> 01:06:48.200
And she's like, well, me and my husband, we're starting to question the Seventh-day Adventists.

01:06:48.200 --> 01:06:50.200
What can you tell me?

01:06:50.200 --> 01:06:52.200
And I gave her the gospel and they got saved.

01:06:52.200 --> 01:06:54.200
And to this day, they don't go to the Seventh-day Adventists anymore.

01:06:54.200 --> 01:06:56.200
You know, so people will pay attention.

01:06:56.200 --> 01:06:57.200
People come out.

01:06:57.200 --> 01:07:00.200
And you know, what's interesting is people say, oh, you shouldn't talk bad about this stuff.

01:07:00.200 --> 01:07:01.200
You shouldn't make a big deal.

01:07:01.200 --> 01:07:06.200
Apparently the big deal was what got the phone call because I didn't even remember making a big deal.

01:07:06.200 --> 01:07:10.200
But she remembered that I was so loud and obnoxious that she's like,

01:07:10.200 --> 01:07:12.200
this guy must know something that nobody else knows.

01:07:12.200 --> 01:07:13.200
Right?

01:07:13.200 --> 01:07:18.200
Like, I just remember fighting with it because it was so annoying because these guys were so arrogant and pompous.

01:07:18.200 --> 01:07:20.200
It was just like, it really got on my nerves.

01:07:20.200 --> 01:07:22.200
Go to Jeremiah 14 really quick.

01:07:22.200 --> 01:07:23.200
Go to Jeremiah 14.

01:07:23.200 --> 01:07:25.200
I only have one more point and we're done.

01:07:25.200 --> 01:07:26.200
Right?

01:07:26.200 --> 01:07:31.200
But she's known for making all these failed predictions.

01:07:31.200 --> 01:07:37.200
And historically, it's proven that she borrowed from other authors and material.

01:07:37.200 --> 01:07:40.200
She was basically plagiarizing because she was uneducated.

01:07:40.200 --> 01:07:41.200
Think about it.

01:07:41.200 --> 01:07:46.200
She got hurt when she was eight and then she got pulled out of the school system and never really finished her education.

01:07:46.200 --> 01:07:51.200
She got married at 18 and then they just let her run with the stupid visions.

01:07:51.200 --> 01:07:54.200
So she never even got fully educated.

01:07:54.200 --> 01:07:57.200
And she's constantly contradicting scripture.

01:07:57.200 --> 01:07:59.200
I mean, it's insane the amount of contradictions.

01:07:59.200 --> 01:08:00.200
Right?

01:08:00.200 --> 01:08:02.200
But Jeremiah 14, right there in verse 14, the Bible says,

01:08:02.200 --> 01:08:08.200
Then the Lord said unto me, the prophets prophesy lies in my name.

01:08:08.200 --> 01:08:13.200
I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them.

01:08:13.200 --> 01:08:22.200
They prophesy unto you a false vision and divination and a thing of not and the deceit of their heart.

01:08:22.200 --> 01:08:24.200
Go to Ezekiel 13.

01:08:24.200 --> 01:08:25.200
Go to Ezekiel 13.

01:08:25.200 --> 01:08:27.200
I'll read for you really quick in 2 Peter 2.

01:08:27.200 --> 01:08:28.200
Right there in verse 1, the Bible says,

01:08:28.200 --> 01:08:33.200
But there were false prophets among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you,

01:08:33.200 --> 01:08:40.200
who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them.

01:08:40.200 --> 01:08:45.200
You know, and today religions are, you know, a dime a dozen.

01:08:45.200 --> 01:08:48.200
And Ezekiel 13 right there in verse 1, the Bible says,

01:08:48.200 --> 01:08:50.200
And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

01:08:50.200 --> 01:08:54.200
Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy.

01:08:54.200 --> 01:08:56.200
Hey, why am I preaching against this today?

01:08:56.200 --> 01:08:58.200
Because that's what the Bible says.

01:08:58.200 --> 01:09:02.200
And say unto them that prophesy out of their hearts, hear you the word of the Lord.

01:09:02.200 --> 01:09:09.200
Thus saith the Lord God, Woe unto the foolish prophets that follow their own spirit and have seen nothing.

01:09:09.200 --> 01:09:13.200
O Israel, thy prophets are like the foxes in the deserts.

01:09:13.200 --> 01:09:20.200
You have not gone up into the gaps, neither made up the hedge for the house of Israel to stand in the battle in the day of the Lord.

01:09:20.200 --> 01:09:23.200
And they have seen vanity and lying divination, saying,

01:09:23.200 --> 01:09:26.200
The Lord saith, and the Lord hath not sent them,

01:09:26.200 --> 01:09:31.200
and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.

01:09:31.200 --> 01:09:32.200
And isn't that what I just explained?

01:09:32.200 --> 01:09:36.200
People had hope. They wanted to go home.

01:09:36.200 --> 01:09:38.200
And I think it's a great thing to want to go to heaven.

01:09:38.200 --> 01:09:40.200
I mean, that's why we lead people to Christ.

01:09:40.200 --> 01:09:43.200
But hey, it's not for you to make that call.

01:09:43.200 --> 01:09:47.200
The Lord has a timing for you, and you need to do the job while you're here.

01:09:47.200 --> 01:09:52.200
You can't just hope that somebody's got a better answer than the Bible.

01:09:52.200 --> 01:09:57.200
Point number three, they have the 28 fundamental beliefs.

01:09:57.200 --> 01:10:01.200
I'll have you turn your Bibles over to Romans 14.

01:10:01.200 --> 01:10:03.200
But in Matthew 7, the Bible warns us.

01:10:03.200 --> 01:10:06.200
It says, Beware of false prophets which come to you in sheep's clothing.

01:10:06.200 --> 01:10:09.200
But inwardly, they are ravening wolves.

01:10:09.200 --> 01:10:14.200
Hey, we need to pay attention to this stuff because people are charismatic.

01:10:14.200 --> 01:10:17.200
People have the ability to talk well and sound well,

01:10:17.200 --> 01:10:19.200
and we can get caught up with these things.

01:10:19.200 --> 01:10:23.200
People get caught up in all kinds of stuff because somebody came in,

01:10:23.200 --> 01:10:26.200
and they sound good, and they sound right,

01:10:26.200 --> 01:10:28.200
but they're just not making any biblical sense.

01:10:28.200 --> 01:10:29.200
I mean, there's an idiot.

01:10:29.200 --> 01:10:33.200
He's not a Seventh-day Adventist, but Russell Brand, I think, is his name,

01:10:33.200 --> 01:10:38.200
the British guy, and he's making news right now because apparently he got saved.

01:10:38.200 --> 01:10:41.200
You know, he was going to kill himself, and then he found Jesus.

01:10:41.200 --> 01:10:45.200
And in there, there's no saved by grace, no belief, but he speaks well.

01:10:45.200 --> 01:10:49.200
He speaks with a British accent, which Americans love a British accent,

01:10:49.200 --> 01:10:52.200
and he's making headway, and it's stupid, right?

01:10:52.200 --> 01:10:54.200
The guy's not preaching any truth.

01:10:54.200 --> 01:10:58.200
The guy's going to hell if he doesn't believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,

01:10:58.200 --> 01:11:00.200
which he hasn't.

01:11:00.200 --> 01:11:03.200
So right now, if Russell Brand dies, you know where he's going?

01:11:03.200 --> 01:11:05.200
To hell.

01:11:08.200 --> 01:11:09.200
Let's close this thing out.

01:11:09.200 --> 01:11:12.200
This is just funny because you can just go see this thing, right?

01:11:12.200 --> 01:11:14.200
So we see the history.

01:11:14.200 --> 01:11:17.200
We see L and G, Y, and then we see their fundamental beliefs.

01:11:17.200 --> 01:11:19.200
Hey, by the way, you can just go to the website and get this.

01:11:19.200 --> 01:11:23.200
I don't have to do this, but what are the big things?

01:11:23.200 --> 01:11:25.200
The Sabbath.

01:11:25.200 --> 01:11:28.200
And on their website, there is belief number 20.

01:11:28.200 --> 01:11:31.200
Even though it's a really important belief, even though it's the Fourth Commandment,

01:11:31.200 --> 01:11:33.200
they're like, let's put it down in verse 20.

01:11:33.200 --> 01:11:36.200
You know, they're like, way down here is the Sabbath.

01:11:36.200 --> 01:11:37.200
It says,

01:11:37.200 --> 01:11:38.200
It says,

01:11:45.200 --> 01:11:46.200
It says,

01:11:56.200 --> 01:11:57.200
Work salvation, right?

01:11:57.200 --> 01:12:01.200
The Sabbath is a day of delightful communion with God in one another.

01:12:01.200 --> 01:12:05.200
It is a symbol of our redemption in Christ, a sign of our sanctification,

01:12:05.200 --> 01:12:09.200
a token of our allegiance, and a foretaste of our eternal future in God's kingdom.

01:12:09.200 --> 01:12:13.200
The Sabbath is God's perpetual sign of the eternal covenant between him and his people.

01:12:13.200 --> 01:12:18.200
Joyful observance of this holy time from evening to evening, sunset to sunset,

01:12:18.200 --> 01:12:20.200
is a celebration of God's creative redemptive acts.

01:12:20.200 --> 01:12:24.200
I was going to do a whole thing here, but I'm just going to give you the one minute synopsis.

01:12:24.200 --> 01:12:28.200
Obviously, they don't know that there's two calendars, right?

01:12:28.200 --> 01:12:32.200
The Hebrew calendar starts in the month of Nisan,

01:12:32.200 --> 01:12:37.200
which actually is between our calendar, between the months of March and April.

01:12:37.200 --> 01:12:38.200
You say, why do you say that?

01:12:38.200 --> 01:12:43.200
Well, because you have to do some math and stuff to make them line up, right?

01:12:43.200 --> 01:12:46.200
The Gregorian calendar, which is the modern calendar.

01:12:46.200 --> 01:12:49.200
You have the Hebrew calendar, which is the one established by God.

01:12:49.200 --> 01:12:53.200
And the Hebrews, the modern-day Jews even today,

01:12:53.200 --> 01:12:55.200
they have the same days of the week,

01:12:55.200 --> 01:12:58.200
but they don't call them Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.

01:12:58.200 --> 01:13:02.200
They call them day one, day two, day three, day four, day five, day six,

01:13:02.200 --> 01:13:04.200
and then the Sabbath, right?

01:13:04.200 --> 01:13:07.200
So the Sabbath just means day of rest and worship.

01:13:07.200 --> 01:13:09.200
And so I just think it's interesting.

01:13:09.200 --> 01:13:14.200
And then also here they like reference all the verses that you could go to to justify the Sabbath.

01:13:14.200 --> 01:13:17.200
First of all, Sabbath is not even found to weigh later in the Bible,

01:13:17.200 --> 01:13:21.200
but also in Leviticus, they reference Leviticus 23,

01:13:21.200 --> 01:13:23.200
which if you've been coming to the Sunday evenings,

01:13:23.200 --> 01:13:27.200
you know that we just destroyed that stupid notion of the Sabbath in Venice

01:13:27.200 --> 01:13:32.200
because Leviticus 23 talks about Sabbaths on the eighth day or on the ninth week

01:13:32.200 --> 01:13:34.200
or this month shall be a Sabbath to you.

01:13:34.200 --> 01:13:36.200
So when Jesus is saying the Sabbaths,

01:13:36.200 --> 01:13:40.200
he's talking about the days of worship and of rest that he set in order,

01:13:40.200 --> 01:13:42.200
not just a very specific day.

01:13:42.200 --> 01:13:47.200
And of course it ties it to salvation, which he's our rest, right?

01:13:47.200 --> 01:13:50.200
In Romans 14, I had you turn there in verse one, it says,

01:13:50.200 --> 01:13:52.200
I'm sorry.

01:14:20.200 --> 01:14:25.200
Another day, another above it, one day above another, another seemeth every day alike.

01:14:25.200 --> 01:14:30.200
Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

01:14:30.200 --> 01:14:31.200
In Colossus the Bible says,

01:14:31.200 --> 01:14:36.200
let no man therefore judge you in meat and drink or in respect of it holy day

01:14:36.200 --> 01:14:42.200
or of the new moon or of the Sabbath days, which are a shadow of things to come.

01:14:42.200 --> 01:14:44.200
But the body is of Christ.

01:14:44.200 --> 01:14:45.200
And I mean, I could go on and on and on.

01:14:45.200 --> 01:14:47.200
I'm not going to waste your time.

01:14:47.200 --> 01:14:50.200
I said, I already went into the investigative judgment.

01:14:50.200 --> 01:14:52.200
You can read it.

01:14:52.200 --> 01:14:57.200
But in belief number 24, they call it the ministry in the heavenly sanctuary.

01:14:57.200 --> 01:15:01.200
And the only thing that I want to point out here says there is a sanctuary in heaven,

01:15:01.200 --> 01:15:04.200
the true tabernacle the Lord set up and not humans.

01:15:04.200 --> 01:15:09.200
It is Christ ministers on behalf making available to believers the benefits of his atoning sacrifice

01:15:09.200 --> 01:15:11.200
offered once and for all on the cross.

01:15:11.200 --> 01:15:16.200
At his ascension, he was inaugurated as our great high priest.

01:15:16.200 --> 01:15:22.200
No, the Bible says he was a priest, a high priest always, not he was inaugurated.

01:15:22.200 --> 01:15:24.200
He's always been the high priest.

01:15:24.200 --> 01:15:31.200
That's what the Levitical law, that's what it shows us that they couldn't do what Christ did for us on the cross.

01:15:31.200 --> 01:15:34.200
He's always been the high priest.

01:15:34.200 --> 01:15:40.200
It says he began as an intercessory ministry, which is identified by the work of the high priest in the holy places.

01:15:40.200 --> 01:15:43.200
And then it says here it is the work of investigative judgment,

01:15:43.200 --> 01:15:48.200
which is part of the ultimate disposition of all sin, typified by the cleansing of the ancient Hebrew.

01:15:48.200 --> 01:15:54.200
So basically what it's saying is he's deciding by your works who goes to heaven and who goes to hell.

01:15:54.200 --> 01:15:58.200
And that all just on that alone, it's bad.

01:15:58.200 --> 01:16:04.200
And then the last one, just so you guys could have a good laugh and I'm done, is the dietary bondage.

01:16:04.200 --> 01:16:11.200
Because there's a famous guy, a famous Seventh-day Adventist by the name of Kellogg.

01:16:11.200 --> 01:16:19.200
If you don't know what Kellogg is, that you don't live in America, because who's ever eaten corn flakes?

01:16:19.200 --> 01:16:27.200
As a matter of fact, corn flakes are so famous that Mexicans only know one word for cereal, and it's corn flakes.

01:16:27.200 --> 01:16:31.200
They're like, hey, do you want cereal? Yes, I want corn flakes.

01:16:31.200 --> 01:16:37.200
What kind of corn flakes do you want? Oh, I want, you know, like honey notes or Cheerios.

01:16:37.200 --> 01:16:41.200
Yeah, no, but those are Cheerios. Yeah, I want some corn flakes. Cheerios.

01:16:41.200 --> 01:16:44.200
I want some corn flakes, you know, Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

01:16:44.200 --> 01:16:50.200
That's how Nellie, you're right here. I'm looking at her, she's laughing because that's, we all call them Soviet, isn't that?

01:16:50.200 --> 01:16:54.200
Oh, you've never experienced that? Sorry, you're not a real Mexican. Sorry about that.

01:16:54.200 --> 01:16:58.200
Take her passport away. It's not allowed.

01:16:58.200 --> 01:17:04.200
But here's the problem with Kellogg, right? It says that he co-invented corn flakes with his brother.

01:17:04.200 --> 01:17:06.200
Just give me one more minute because this is great.

01:17:06.200 --> 01:17:15.200
In 1984, it was a bland, easy, digestible food to promote digestive health and reduce the urges of the flesh.

01:17:15.200 --> 01:17:18.200
I'm not going to defy your mind. It goes deeper than that.

01:17:18.200 --> 01:17:27.200
But that's why they did it, aligning with his advocacy for strict vegetarianism and opposition to meat, tobacco, alcohol,

01:17:27.200 --> 01:17:34.200
and of course other, you know, deeds of the flesh that I will not defy your mind with.

01:17:34.200 --> 01:17:36.200
These guys were basically sickos.

01:17:36.200 --> 01:17:42.200
He literally ran a sanitarium of crazy people and then he just force-fed them to stuff to try to make them better.

01:17:42.200 --> 01:17:46.200
He's nuts for doing this. This is the guys that are leading the religion.

01:17:46.200 --> 01:17:50.200
And to this day, think about it, it was just created.

01:17:50.200 --> 01:18:05.200
Kellogg is, they define this religion, redefine an entire generation that went from eating healthy breakfast to just like processed, dried out food.

01:18:05.200 --> 01:18:08.200
It's been proven that corn flakes are really bad for you, right?

01:18:08.200 --> 01:18:13.200
Not just corn flakes, you know, what is it, frosted flakes, which I love. I ate some last night.

01:18:13.200 --> 01:18:21.200
But they're bad. They're basically chock full of preservatives and sugar and all kinds of bad chemicals and all that stuff, right?

01:18:21.200 --> 01:18:27.200
And it gets worse, right, if you eat like, what is it, the leprechaun one, whatever it is, you know,

01:18:27.200 --> 01:18:31.200
Lucky Charms with all the marshmallows and everything, and it's horrible, right?

01:18:31.200 --> 01:18:36.200
But this is what these guys are. Like, he's an old friend, there's another guy, there's a famous movie mate,

01:18:36.200 --> 01:18:46.200
He was like a, like he protested the military and wouldn't lift up a, he got like a purple heart or something in the Vietnam War, but he wouldn't shoot a gun.

01:18:46.200 --> 01:18:51.200
That guy was a 70-minute, there's a movie that Mel Gibson made.

01:18:51.200 --> 01:19:00.200
But in closing, you know, what's the point? The point is that there's 20 million people, or plus or minus or whatever you want to do, that are going to hell.

01:19:00.200 --> 01:19:06.200
Look, the Bible is so clear, it says the laborers are few, but the harvest is white, right?

01:19:06.200 --> 01:19:12.200
We're ready to, like there's so much work to do, and we need to do it on all fronts.

01:19:12.200 --> 01:19:17.200
Soul winning is important, we're not going to stop soul winning, but you know what, we need to preach hard against this stuff,

01:19:17.200 --> 01:19:23.200
Because unfortunately, our other Baptist brethren have dropped the ball. They don't want to step on anybody's toes.

01:19:23.200 --> 01:19:28.200
Look, if you don't want to come here, if you don't want to listen to this, don't.

01:19:28.200 --> 01:19:34.200
But we're not going to stop preaching the Word of God, we're not going to stop telling the truth, and if people don't like it, well, tough cookies,

01:19:34.200 --> 01:19:40.200
because that's exactly what God said. He said you need to mark them, and then you need to call them out, and you need to shut them up,

01:19:40.200 --> 01:19:43.200
and you need to just basically tell them, go to hell.

01:19:43.200 --> 01:19:48.200
People get all offended, well, not you guys, but some people would get offended the way I talk to people on the phone.

01:19:48.200 --> 01:19:51.200
But hey, if you're a false prophet, I'm just going to tell you to go to hell.

01:19:51.200 --> 01:19:56.200
If you're a Seventh-day Adventist and you're a false prophet, and I know you are, you're going to go to hell.

01:19:56.200 --> 01:20:01.200
Now, if you're not saved and you just didn't know better, I'm going to preach you the Gospel, but then if you still anchor in,

01:20:01.200 --> 01:20:03.200
I'm going to tell you you're going to hell.

01:20:03.200 --> 01:20:05.200
So let's close in a word of prayer.

01:20:05.200 --> 01:20:09.200
Heavenly Father, Lord, thank you so much for today. Thank you for the opportunity to preach this.

01:20:09.200 --> 01:20:16.200
Sometimes some of these sermons feel like it's basic or review, but we need them all.

01:20:16.200 --> 01:20:19.200
And Lord, I'm just so grateful.

01:20:19.200 --> 01:20:28.200
I'm so grateful to Pastor Johnny Pope for sitting across the table and egging me on and pushing on me

01:20:28.200 --> 01:20:33.200
and explaining the Gospel and getting me saved when I was 25 years old

01:20:33.200 --> 01:20:41.200
and just destroying this false belief I had just because I was a good Sabbath keeper and I ate well and I read my Bible,

01:20:41.200 --> 01:20:43.200
I was going to heaven.

01:20:43.200 --> 01:20:46.200
It had nothing to do with me but all with the finished work on the cross, Lord.

01:20:46.200 --> 01:20:52.200
And I just pray that those listening to the sound of my voice on the internet, on YouTube or whatever,

01:20:52.200 --> 01:20:56.200
that they would listen to this and it would prick them at their heart

01:20:56.200 --> 01:21:00.200
and then they would just come to the knowledge, the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

01:21:00.200 --> 01:21:03.200
I pray that you would bless the rest of this week.

01:21:03.200 --> 01:21:10.200
Bless the activities this week as some of us are going to the anti-Israel conference, some of us are staying back.

01:21:10.200 --> 01:21:13.200
I just pray for both, the people here that we would run the church well

01:21:13.200 --> 01:21:16.200
and those that are over there that we would be edified.

01:21:16.200 --> 01:21:19.200
Thank you for all that you do, Lord. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

01:21:19.200 --> 01:21:22.200
Let's turn our hymnals over to page 275.

01:21:22.200 --> 01:21:35.200
275.

01:21:35.200 --> 01:21:40.200
I practiced this one a little bit before so I need you guys to help me out.

01:21:40.200 --> 01:21:43.200
Go ahead, Hacama.

01:22:10.200 --> 01:22:13.200
Go, Spirit, go thy way.

01:22:13.200 --> 01:22:22.200
Some more convenient day on the outfall.

01:22:22.200 --> 01:22:31.200
Almost persuaded, come, come to me.

01:22:31.200 --> 01:22:41.200
Almost persuaded, come, come to me.

01:22:41.200 --> 01:22:50.200
Almost persuaded, turn not away.

01:22:50.200 --> 01:23:00.200
Jesus invites you here, angels are mining here.

01:23:00.200 --> 01:23:10.200
Prayers rise from hearts deep, oh wonder come.

01:23:10.200 --> 01:23:19.200
Almost persuaded, harvest its past.

01:23:19.200 --> 01:23:28.200
Almost persuaded, new comes at last.

01:23:28.200 --> 01:23:38.200
Almost cannot avail, almost is but to fail.

01:23:38.200 --> 01:23:47.200
Sad, sad that bitter wail, almost but lost.

01:23:47.200 --> 01:23:49.200
You are dismissed.

01:23:58.200 --> 01:24:00.200
Amen.
