I want to give you three distinct roles that individuals play within the salvation of a person 00:14.680 --> 00:21.760 Of course when we're talking about someone's salvation, there's various ways that the Bible describes this being born again being 00:22.160 --> 00:27.940 Justified through Jesus Christ. We're talking about eternal life, right someone who is you know 00:28.000 --> 00:34.520 converted from being an unregenerated, unsafe person to being a saved person who has eternal 00:34.520 --> 00:39.800 life, their sins have been forgiven, they have an eternal home in heaven, and they are 00:39.800 --> 00:41.480 a child of God. 00:41.480 --> 00:46.720 The Bible says, but as many as received him, to them gave you power to become the sons 00:46.720 --> 00:47.720 of God. 00:47.720 --> 00:47.900 you 00:48.100 --> 00:55.200 Excuse me, even unto them that believe on his name, essentially equating believing on his name with becoming a 00:55.380 --> 01:02.580 Son of God a child of God first John chapter 3 says behold what manner of love the father hath bestowed upon us that we should 01:02.580 --> 01:06.660 Be called the sons of God essentially demonstrating that at salvation 01:07.020 --> 01:11.420 God adopts us as his spiritual children and so forth 01:11.420 --> 01:15.980 but this morning I want to go through some of the various roles that 01:16.100 --> 01:19.580 individuals in the Bible play in our salvation. Obviously we know that it 01:19.580 --> 01:23.900 happens in an instant. You know at the moment that someone believes on the Lord 01:23.900 --> 01:29.140 Jesus Christ, they call upon him in faith. At that point they're saved. It's not a 01:29.140 --> 01:34.380 process. It's not a lifelong commitment. It's not something that you have to make 01:34.380 --> 01:38.260 sure that you endure until the end in order to make sure that you're saved. 01:38.260 --> 01:42.860 Those are all workspace salvation Gospels, right? That we as a church need 01:42.860 --> 01:44.100 to reject. And let me just say this 01:44.100 --> 01:48.260 by way of introduction is that we need to make sure we're not lenient when it comes 01:48.260 --> 01:50.260 to the message of salvation. 01:50.700 --> 01:55.960 What do I mean by that? Meaning that, you know, we've got to make sure that we don't make exceptions to the rules of the Bible 01:55.960 --> 02:01.280 A lot of times Christians today, because there's so much doubt, the reason there's so much doubt in churches 02:01.280 --> 02:08.400 The reason there's so much confusion, the reason there's so much people that are just ignorant of the doctrine of justification 02:08.400 --> 02:15.120 Is because the pastors and the Christians within those churches are just kind of flippant regarding doctrine, right? 02:15.120 --> 02:18.580 They don't want to offend people and so they don't want to just 02:18.700 --> 02:20.380 has judgment on someone. 02:20.600 --> 02:24.040 and say, oh, this person's not saved because they believe in a false gospel. 02:24.040 --> 02:26.840 They're like, well, you don't want to say that because you don't want to offend them. 02:26.840 --> 02:31.560 And they believe in God. They believe in Jesus. And that's just good enough for us. 02:31.560 --> 02:35.720 But it's important for us as Christians to prove all things, hold fast that which is good, 02:36.520 --> 02:43.240 to make sure that we judge what a person claims to believe and compare it to the clear teachings of 02:43.240 --> 02:48.520 the Bible. Not just, oh, OK, they say they're a Christian, so I'm just going to go ahead and believe it. 02:48.600 --> 02:53.680 something. Well, they said they're a Baptist, they said they believe in the Bible, that's 02:53.680 --> 02:58.480 not necessarily good enough according to biblical standards. By thy words thou shall be justified 02:58.480 --> 03:02.400 and by thy words thou shall be condemned. And look folks, you know, the Lord didn't 03:02.400 --> 03:09.680 spend just centuries of just placing content within the Word of God, right? Just systematic 03:09.680 --> 03:15.840 doctrine, systematic doctrine on the doctrine of salvation for us to just write it all off 03:15.840 --> 03:16.600 and say well you 03:16.600 --> 03:18.940 know if they say they believe in God that's good enough for me not good 03:18.940 --> 03:23.680 enough because Muslims can't claim to believe in God Mormons claim to believe 03:23.680 --> 03:26.760 in God Jehovah's Witnesses claim to believe in God it's all types of people 03:26.760 --> 03:29.880 out there who claim to believe in God they don't really believe in the matter 03:29.880 --> 03:33.960 of salvation and when I say we need to be strict we need to be narrow in this 03:33.960 --> 03:38.480 regard I mean that we need to place the same standard on others as the Bible 03:38.480 --> 03:42.000 places on us right you say what do you mean by that 03:42.600 --> 03:46.640 Well, you know, let me just say this, you know, sometimes people think, well, if a person 03:46.640 --> 03:49.760 claims to believe in Jesus, that's automatic that they're saved. 03:49.760 --> 03:54.640 And I do agree that if a person claims to believe in Jesus, that puts them in a good 03:54.640 --> 03:56.360 ballpark, right? 03:56.360 --> 03:58.240 Like it puts them in the right sport. 03:58.240 --> 04:03.040 Like, okay, you know, you're definitely not a Hindu, right? 04:03.700 --> 04:08.260 Or maybe you are, I don't know, but you know, at least you're kind of narrowing it down there, right? 04:08.260 --> 04:15.300 So if they say they believe in Jesus Christ, if they start, you know, talking about or using biblical terminologies, 04:15.300 --> 04:19.620 Christianese, as we would say it, in regards to salvation, 04:19.620 --> 04:24.740 we could kind of say, alright, maybe this person is saved, maybe not, but it seems as though maybe they leaned more towards, 04:24.740 --> 04:27.460 they're not far from the Kingdom of God, at least, okay? 04:27.700 --> 04:32.300 But let me also say this, sometimes people say these words, they're just simply repeating 04:32.300 --> 04:35.720 what others say to them or what they've heard. 04:35.720 --> 04:39.380 And so it's important for us to, for lack of a better way of saying it, it's kind of 04:39.380 --> 04:42.020 corner people, right? 04:42.020 --> 04:43.540 To kind of see what they actually believe. 04:43.900 --> 04:48.460 Because look folks, you have people out there that say, well I know that Jesus died on the cross to pay for my sins 04:48.460 --> 04:50.460 And that he resurrected on the third day 04:50.460 --> 04:55.740 You know, and you know that is good, but we also need to ask them, but can you lose your salvation though? 04:55.740 --> 04:58.220 Because you know a lot of times people are like, oh yeah for sure 04:58.220 --> 05:01.420 And it's an oxymoron, right? 05:01.420 --> 05:07.180 It's a contradictory statement to claim to believe that Jesus died for all sins 05:07.400 --> 05:09.640 that he resurrected on the third day, 05:09.640 --> 05:11.960 but then still hold to this ideology 05:11.960 --> 05:13.960 that you can lose your salvation. 05:13.960 --> 05:15.680 These are contrasting ideas 05:15.680 --> 05:17.920 that are not compatible one with another. 05:17.920 --> 05:19.360 Because if he died for all sins, 05:19.360 --> 05:21.280 that means he died for all of your sins, 05:21.280 --> 05:23.800 the sins that you claim you can commit in the future 05:23.800 --> 05:25.160 that will take away your salvation. 05:25.160 --> 05:26.280 It doesn't make sense. 05:26.600 --> 05:30.680 So it's important for us to help people to understand that eternal security is the gospel, 05:30.680 --> 05:36.440 that is salvation. These are not separate issues. We may in our gospel presentation 05:36.440 --> 05:41.480 often treat it as separate as one step after the other, but at the end of the day, 05:41.480 --> 05:46.920 eternal security, one saved always saved, you know, you can't lose your salvation, 05:46.920 --> 05:52.040 is in conjunction with the gospel. You say, why do you say that? Well, it's called eternal life. 05:53.400 --> 05:55.400 Eternal life means that you're always saved 05:55.800 --> 05:57.800 It's eternal 05:57.840 --> 06:01.260 Meaning is not temporal. Okay, so that's important 06:01.260 --> 06:06.080 But also let me say this, you know, we need to make sure that we prove all things whole fast that which is good and not 06:06.080 --> 06:12.200 Be like the simple that believeth every word because of the fact that you'll have people out there such as Muslims for example 06:12.400 --> 06:18.280 That will assert well, you know, we believe that Jesus is the Christ and it is like oh, oh dang 06:19.400 --> 06:23.760 I didn't know that. Okay, they must be saved. They believe that Jesus is the Christ. Yeah, but here's the problem though 06:23.760 --> 06:25.760 They don't believe that Jesus is God 06:25.760 --> 06:28.440 and so there there is a collection of 06:29.120 --> 06:32.120 fundamental doctrines that a person must believe in order to be saved and 06:32.880 --> 06:34.400 We're talking about 06:34.400 --> 06:36.400 doctrines and beliefs about Jesus 06:36.760 --> 06:40.900 Okay, like if you believe Jesus is the brother of Satan, it's not the same Jesus of the Bible 06:41.560 --> 06:46.380 And make no mistake about it. The Bible talks about people preaching listen to this another Jesus 06:47.200 --> 06:52.320 Another gospel there's another spirit keep in mind that Satan is a major liar 06:52.440 --> 06:57.380 He counterfeits religion he counterfeits Christianity. He counterfeits Jesus Christ 06:57.380 --> 07:04.560 He's always offering an alternative to what the Bible actually says, okay, so it's important that the way we can 07:05.400 --> 07:11.420 Overcome that the way we can determine and decipher whether someone believes in the right doctrine is by number one 07:11.560 --> 07:13.560 Knowing what the right doctrine is 07:13.800 --> 07:17.800 But number two, asking the right questions. 07:17.800 --> 07:20.820 And so when we talk about salvation, we're talking about the fact that you have to believe 07:20.820 --> 07:24.560 on the Lord Jesus Christ exclusively to be saved. 07:24.560 --> 07:25.760 That's another important thing, right? 07:25.760 --> 07:29.480 When we say exclusively, that means at the exclusion of everyone else and everything 07:29.480 --> 07:29.920 else. 07:30.300 --> 07:32.300 Meaning you can't add anything to that. 07:32.300 --> 07:36.800 A lot of times people say, well I believe in Jesus, but you also have to, and then fill in the blank or whatever. 07:36.800 --> 07:39.800 Okay? That's not salvation, you can't get saved that way. 07:39.800 --> 07:47.800 You can't add another God, another work, baptism, doing good works, another saint, you know, Catholicism, more. 07:47.800 --> 07:51.800 You can't add anything to Jesus Christ. If you do, salvation is no longer available to you. 07:51.800 --> 07:55.300 And if by grace, then it is no more of works, otherwise grace is no more grace. 07:56.100 --> 08:01.200 And so what we're talking about here when it comes to salvation is no adding to Jesus Christ 08:01.900 --> 08:05.960 He's the one that provides salvation, he's the one that paid it in full, and he does 08:05.960 --> 08:08.520 not require anybody else's payment. 08:08.520 --> 08:13.340 He doesn't need you to give him a loan on salvation. 08:13.340 --> 08:17.720 He doesn't need layaway plans from you saying, you know what, I'll pay you off little by 08:17.720 --> 08:22.880 little by my obedience, by my ability to keep God's commands, by my church attendance. 08:22.880 --> 08:26.000 Lord, you know, when he actually paid for all sins, guess what? 08:26.000 --> 08:28.700 He paid for them completely, totally. 08:28.700 --> 08:29.700 Past, present, future. 08:29.700 --> 08:29.900 Great. 08:29.900 --> 08:31.900 His obedience is what saves us, amen. 08:33.300 --> 08:37.300 It's not our obedience to His commands, therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith 08:37.300 --> 08:41.460 without the deeds of the law. And so it's important for us to realize what salvation is, 08:41.460 --> 08:46.660 but you know as we grow in our faith let us move on into perfection, right? Let's learn a little 08:46.660 --> 08:54.100 deeper regarding the doctrine of salvation, who plays a vital role in getting someone saved, 08:54.100 --> 08:58.340 okay? So once someone is born again, meaning they have believed on Jesus Christ, 08:58.340 --> 09:01.140 they place their faith in Him, you know at that point they're saved. 09:01.300 --> 09:08.280 They have eternal life, but if we're to get down to the nitty and gritty details of what has taken place at that moment 09:08.280 --> 09:12.420 There's a lot that has happened and there's a lot of effort on various parts 09:12.620 --> 09:17.740 You know the various people and individuals to you know, make that happen for that person 09:17.940 --> 09:25.540 So let's talk about that 1st Peter chapter 1 and verse number 1 says this Peter and Apostle of Jesus Christ to the stranger scattered 09:25.540 --> 09:28.580 throughout Pontius Galatia Cappadocia Asia, Bithynia 09:29.300 --> 09:42.500 He says, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ, grace unto you and peace be multiplied. 09:42.500 --> 09:46.300 Here we see what we commonly refer to as the Trinity. 09:46.300 --> 09:46.900 Okay? 09:46.900 --> 09:50.400 You have God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. 09:50.400 --> 09:55.000 Let me just say this real quick, is that this sermon is not going to be an encouraging sermon for you. 09:55.000 --> 09:56.100 I'm not trying to exhort you. 09:56.100 --> 09:57.300 This is a doctrinal. 09:57.300 --> 09:59.500 sermon to teach you information, okay? 09:59.500 --> 10:00.840 But it's important for you to know, 10:00.840 --> 10:03.340 because we don't need doctrinally illiterate Christians 10:03.340 --> 10:04.820 in this world that are just ignorant 10:04.820 --> 10:06.380 of what the Bible actually says. 10:06.380 --> 10:08.900 So here in verse number two, we find 10:08.900 --> 10:11.500 the three most important factors in salvation, 10:11.500 --> 10:14.280 which is God the Father, God the Son, 10:14.280 --> 10:15.340 and God the Holy Spirit. 10:15.340 --> 10:18.660 I said that there's six people, six individuals involved. 10:18.660 --> 10:21.040 The first part of the sermon is the first three, 10:21.040 --> 10:24.100 which is the Trinity's part in salvation. 10:24.100 --> 10:25.300 Go to John chapter six. 10:25.300 --> 10:30.900 would. John chapter 6. John chapter 6 if you would. 10:31.100 --> 10:38.080 Point number one when it comes to the roles in salvation, let's talk about God the Father's role in salvation 10:38.080 --> 10:44.780 What role does he play in the justification of an individual at the moment of salvation? 10:44.780 --> 10:48.940 Point number one is that the Father draws the sinner, okay? 10:48.940 --> 10:53.120 The Father drew you, he drew me, right? 10:53.120 --> 10:59.040 At the moment of salvation and in fact prior to us getting saved, the Lord was draw- 10:59.100 --> 11:04.860 us unto him. Now let me explain to you first what that doesn't mean. Okay, because a lot of times 11:04.860 --> 11:11.420 people, you know, namely the Calvinists, they have this doctrinal position, this false doctrine, 11:11.420 --> 11:17.460 that asserts that when the Father is drawing you, it's like this supernatural pool or something. 11:18.000 --> 11:23.840 You know, because you are elect, meaning God has chosen you for salvation. 11:23.840 --> 11:28.160 You don't choose yourself. It's predestined for you. 11:28.160 --> 11:32.160 And the doctrine of the Calvinist essentially asserts that 11:32.160 --> 11:36.160 God basically chooses who gets saved and chooses who doesn't get saved. 11:36.160 --> 11:38.560 Okay? At a whim. 11:38.560 --> 11:42.720 Meaning that if we were to just take this crowd right here, this is the way God did it. 11:42.720 --> 11:44.800 Not saved for sure. Okay? 11:45.400 --> 11:50.400 Save, save, not save, save, not saved, not saved. 11:51.560 --> 11:53.640 Save, save, that's how you do it, just on a whim. 11:53.640 --> 11:57.600 Not based upon your decision, not based upon your belief, 11:57.600 --> 12:00.620 just based upon his whim that he desires 12:00.620 --> 12:01.840 for some people to go to heaven 12:01.840 --> 12:02.960 and some people to go to hell. 12:02.960 --> 12:04.640 And that is a false doctrine. 12:06.020 --> 12:08.000 And look, not only is it a false doctrine, 12:08.000 --> 12:11.200 it's just a godless doctrine, period. 12:11.300 --> 12:15.380 Because, you know, when you get down to the nitty and gritty of that heresy, 12:15.380 --> 12:19.460 you realize that what they're asserting is that, for example, if a child were to die 12:20.180 --> 12:25.380 and they were not chosen, they would go to hell. So according to their doctrine, hell is filled 12:25.380 --> 12:29.620 with children who died in the womb, died thereafter, and if they were not, you know, 12:29.620 --> 12:34.420 because they were not chosen, they were not elect, they were reprobate, they were depraved, 12:34.420 --> 12:38.500 and for that reason, they are in hell, and that's a Godless doctrine. The Bible does not teach that 12:38.500 --> 12:39.300 at all. 12:40.000 --> 12:46.320 Now look folks, at the moment of salvation, yes, we are called the chosen, but that essentially 12:46.320 --> 12:51.520 is based upon, the condition of being chosen is based upon being in Christ. 12:51.520 --> 12:55.280 And we choose, whosoever will may come, the Bible says, right? 12:55.280 --> 13:01.240 There's all types of verses in the Bible, a myriad of scriptures that calls people to 13:01.240 --> 13:03.640 come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. 13:03.640 --> 13:06.440 Why would they be there if we couldn't choose? 13:06.440 --> 13:06.800 Okay. 13:07.100 --> 13:11.140 And so this doctrine asserts, well, he's drawing the elect. 13:11.140 --> 13:12.980 He's drawing the chosen. 13:12.980 --> 13:14.300 There's just something in this that says, 13:14.300 --> 13:15.820 I just know that I'm chosen. 13:15.820 --> 13:17.380 I just wanna be saved. 13:17.380 --> 13:18.940 I just love God. 13:18.940 --> 13:21.060 And let me tell you where this ends up heading to, 13:21.060 --> 13:22.780 is that when they claim to get saved, 13:22.780 --> 13:25.620 these people who are Calvinists, hardcore Calvinists, 13:25.620 --> 13:27.580 they believe, well, because I'm the elect, 13:27.580 --> 13:29.700 I just naturally wanna do right all the time. 13:30.200 --> 13:32.640 I just naturally want to obey the commandments. 13:32.640 --> 13:34.440 I just naturally love God. 13:34.440 --> 13:40.160 I just will do right all the time and I will not sin, but that's also heresy. 13:40.160 --> 13:44.720 You know, if anyone says they have no sin, they make God a liar, the Bible says. 13:44.720 --> 13:46.700 They're deceiving themselves. 13:46.700 --> 13:52.120 No one naturally wants to do what the Bible says because number one, everyone starts off 13:52.120 --> 13:54.120 ignoring what the Bible actually requires of them. 13:55.400 --> 13:58.680 So until you read it, until it's preached to you, 13:58.680 --> 14:02.400 you're not really going to know what is required of you, right? 14:02.400 --> 14:05.840 We have to be able to be exposed to the doctrines 14:05.840 --> 14:08.640 and the standard of the Bible to obey the Bible. 14:08.640 --> 14:12.880 You know, the Apostle Paul said, I had not known lust except the scripture has said, 14:12.880 --> 14:14.600 thou shalt not covet. 14:14.600 --> 14:17.320 So it's like, I didn't know about lust until the Bible literally said 14:17.320 --> 14:19.960 that I shouldn't covet, and then I realized that it was a sin. 14:19.960 --> 14:20.460 OK? 14:21.000 --> 14:25.840 So it's important for us to realize that when the Bible talks about God drawing people 14:25.880 --> 14:31.140 He's not referring to this supernatural pool where he's just wooing you, you know 14:31.440 --> 14:34.400 He's like the the cartoon with the pie and you know how 14:34.680 --> 14:40.220 The scent of the pie just goes through the window and it gets on the cat and then he just like floats or something 14:40.320 --> 14:43.280 That's not the way the Lord does it. Okay. I 14:43.980 --> 14:45.980 want pie 14:47.100 --> 14:51.500 What does he mean by he says that the father draws or the father is the one who draws the sinner? 14:51.500 --> 14:53.740 Look at John chapter 6 verse 44 if you would 14:54.220 --> 14:56.460 John chapter 6 and verse 44 says, 14:56.460 --> 15:04.460 No man can come to me except the father which had sent me draw him and I will raise him up at the last day 15:04.900 --> 15:10.660 So the Bible is telling us here that anybody who comes to Christ came because they responded 15:10.660 --> 15:17.540 to the drawing of the Lord, right? Of God the Father. Now luckily, the next verse explains 15:17.540 --> 15:22.500 to us what it means when he says he draws them. Verse 45 says, it is written in the prophets, 15:22.500 --> 15:28.020 and they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore, listen to this, 15:28.020 --> 15:32.180 they have heard and have learned of the Father, cometh unto me. 15:32.700 --> 15:34.860 So how does God draw people through the Bible? 15:34.860 --> 15:35.860 Amen. 15:35.860 --> 15:36.860 That's how he does it. 15:36.860 --> 15:37.860 Right. 15:37.860 --> 15:38.860 Okay. 15:38.860 --> 15:44.540 When the Bible talks about God bringing people, drawing people, He does it through the scriptures. 15:44.540 --> 15:49.180 Whether it's a saturated amount of scriptures that you hear in church as a child, whether 15:49.180 --> 15:55.180 it's a verse you see on TV, on social media, He's working through the scriptures to draw 15:55.180 --> 15:56.600 you unto Him. 15:56.900 --> 16:01.300 But folks, let me just say this, at the end of the day, you have to choose to go! 16:01.300 --> 16:09.540 Right? If God is calling, He's drawing you to the scriptures, you know, He's using social 16:09.540 --> 16:15.480 media, pastors in churches to kind of put the bait out there, He's using the Bible, 16:15.480 --> 16:16.580 you have to take the bait! 16:17.100 --> 16:20.100 You have to allow yourself to be drawn unto Him. 16:20.100 --> 16:23.100 You have a choice, you're not a robot. 16:23.100 --> 16:27.100 And look folks, the Bible tells us that there's various forms the way God does this. 16:27.100 --> 16:30.100 He does it through the scriptures. He does it through the Word of God. 16:30.100 --> 16:33.100 This of course comes through preaching. It can come through a soul winner. 16:33.100 --> 16:39.100 It can come through, you know, it can even come through to a certain degree, unsaved people. 16:39.100 --> 16:42.100 You know, unsaved people, they give scriptures all the time. 16:42.200 --> 16:47.800 They can't get anybody saved, but the word of God still has power and it can be planted in the heart of a person. 16:47.800 --> 16:50.600 This is often when we talk about a seed being planted. 16:50.600 --> 16:54.000 You know, an unsaved person can give you a verse or something like that. 16:54.000 --> 16:56.200 They quote a verse and it's in there in your mind. 16:56.200 --> 16:58.000 You're just like, oh, I never really thought about that. 16:58.000 --> 17:07.000 And then as you respond to the truth of that verse, it can in like manner position you to hear the gospel and so forth. 17:07.000 --> 17:07.500 Okay. 17:08.000 --> 17:12.640 So God draws the sinner at salvation. Of course, he's working on these people. 17:12.640 --> 17:16.880 He's working on us. He was working on us prior to salvation. He does it through the Bible. 17:16.880 --> 17:22.800 But let me also say this. He also does it through our conscience and creation. 17:23.360 --> 17:26.200 Go to Romans chapter one, if you would. Romans chapter one. 17:28.400 --> 17:34.400 This is the system that God has set forth to make salvation available to people. 17:34.400 --> 17:35.400 Okay? 17:35.400 --> 17:39.400 And let me just say this is that, you know, dreams can't save you. 17:39.400 --> 17:40.400 Okay? 17:40.400 --> 17:43.400 Looking at a jungle can't save you. 17:43.400 --> 17:48.400 Admiring the stars and the celestial bodies cannot save you. 17:48.400 --> 17:51.400 And, you know, just being given a verse can't save you either. 17:52.500 --> 17:58.420 Okay, and I'll explain later on why that is these are all conducive though. We are tainted with this corruptible flesh for sinners. Okay, and that's the problem 36:55.260 --> 36:57.260 That's why we can't that's what we can't save ourselves 36:58.060 --> 37:03.820 So in order to be saved, it's not like why I need to work on righteousness. They're just like, I'm not saved. 44:17.300 --> 44:22.300 You know, like, I don't believe this. I need to believe this. I need to be saved. 44:22.300 --> 44:25.300 And you know, you say, what is that? This is not me, you know, gossiping with other people about you. 45:17.200 --> 45:20.360 This is not me like, hey, if you guys got anything for me, 45:20.360 --> 45:22.560 I need some content or something. 45:22.560 --> 45:23.760 I'm just preaching the word of God, 45:23.760 --> 45:26.080 and the Holy Spirit comes, and he kind of translates that. 45:26.080 --> 45:27.620 He brings it unto you. 45:27.620 --> 45:29.640 Well, prior to salvation, he does the same thing. 45:29.640 --> 45:32.460 He's using the word of God, okay, 45:32.460 --> 45:35.500 to bring compunction to the heart, 45:35.500 --> 45:37.440 to bring those thoughts to your heart, 45:37.440 --> 45:41.200 to help you to realize like, man, I don't think I'm saved. 45:41.500 --> 45:42.500 I need to be saved. 45:42.500 --> 45:45.460 And he kind of brings that type of compunction to say like, 45:45.460 --> 45:47.860 hey, I think I need to get saved right now. 45:47.860 --> 45:50.180 Like that urgency. 45:50.180 --> 45:52.820 And I remember being an unsafe person, 45:52.820 --> 45:54.380 thinking to myself like, you know, 45:54.380 --> 45:56.740 when I almost drowned that one the night before I got saved, 45:56.740 --> 45:58.540 I thought to myself like, I should 45:58.540 --> 46:00.020 have gone to church tonight. 46:00.020 --> 46:02.020 Not because I thought like the church can save me, 46:02.020 --> 46:04.460 but I just knew that salvation was there, though. 46:04.460 --> 46:05.740 Like the truth was over there. 46:06.500 --> 46:11.740 So like there's this there's this sense of urgency that the Holy Spirit brings to you 46:11.740 --> 46:16.820 And this is what the Bible says, you know to to make sure that you don't harden your heart 46:17.820 --> 46:19.820 Right to the Holy Spirit 46:20.500 --> 46:24.900 Because the Holy Spirit is constantly working. He's using the Word of God.
