00:00.000 --> 00:08.400
verse 19 it says for that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth the beasts even one thing befalleth them as the one

00:08.400 --> 00:15.920
dyeth so dyeth the other yea they have all one breath so that a man that hath no preeminence above a beast for all is

00:15.920 --> 00:24.000
vanity all go into one place all are of the dust and all turn to dust again who know what the spirit of man that goes

00:24.000 --> 00:27.920
upward and the spirit of the beast that goes downward to

00:28.000 --> 00:34.400
the earth and the title of my sermon this morning is man's relation to animals man's relation to

00:34.400 --> 00:40.320
animals animals play a very significant role in the bible and this morning i want to preach a

00:40.320 --> 00:46.000
topical sermon on the subject of animals and how we as mankind are to relate to them now hold your

00:46.000 --> 00:50.880
place there in ecclesiastes chapter 3 and go to genesis chapter 1 if you would genesis chapter 1

00:50.880 --> 00:55.200
what does the bible say about animals you know we're going to go through a lot of scripture today

00:55.200 --> 00:56.000
So make sure you have your

00:56.000 --> 00:59.920
The Bible is open, go to every reference that we talk about today.

00:59.920 --> 01:04.920
And we're going to demonstrate the purpose of animals, their end, the role that they

01:04.920 --> 01:09.580
play in reprobation, and God's judgment as well.

01:09.580 --> 01:12.260
Man's relation to animals.

01:12.260 --> 01:17.440
The first point I want to make this morning is that animals are not an afterthought in

01:17.440 --> 01:19.960
the mind of God, believe it or not.

01:19.960 --> 01:21.820
Animals are not an afterthought.

01:21.820 --> 01:24.000
In other words, animals are actually very important.

01:24.000 --> 01:27.520
to God. They're very important to God and this is an important point because of the

01:27.520 --> 01:28.020
fact that

01:28.400 --> 01:33.400
You know society today really exalts animals even above human life sometimes, right?

01:33.400 --> 01:41.400
And sometimes people can have this attitude that animals are way more important than children, than people, than human life

01:41.400 --> 01:47.400
And this can really cause Christians to despise animals and despise animal protection

01:47.400 --> 01:52.400
and despise talking about or having animals or even the life of an animal

01:52.400 --> 01:56.400
But that's not a right attitude either because the Bible actually teaches us

01:56.400 --> 01:58.720
that animals are important to God.

01:58.720 --> 02:00.600
Look at Genesis chapter one, if you wouldn't.

02:01.000 --> 02:06.680
And verse 20 it says, and God said, let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature

02:06.680 --> 02:11.560
that hath life and the fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

02:11.560 --> 02:15.080
And God created the great whales and every living creature that moveth,

02:15.080 --> 02:20.040
which the waters brought forth abundantly after their kind and every winged fowl.

02:20.040 --> 02:26.360
Fowl of course is referring to a bird after his kind. And God saw that it was good and God blessed him.

02:26.700 --> 02:34.040
Said be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas and let foul multiply in the earth and the evening in the morning

02:34.040 --> 02:39.900
Were the fifth day and God said let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind

02:40.460 --> 02:48.100
Cattle and creeping thing and beasts of the earth after his kind and it was so so we see here that God

02:48.700 --> 02:54.480
Made animals on the fifth and sixth day prior to creating man showing us the

02:54.700 --> 02:57.860
Animals are not an afterthought in the mind of God.

02:57.860 --> 03:01.860
They actually had a priority even in the creation period.

03:01.860 --> 03:02.300
Now.

03:02.900 --> 03:05.540
This doesn't mean that they're superior to man, right?

03:05.540 --> 03:10.900
Because of the fact that we see subsequently they're placed under man's dominion thereafter.

03:10.900 --> 03:17.700
But it does show that they do play an essential part in God's original sinless creation.

03:18.740 --> 03:21.940
Animals are not a created being that are insignificant to God.

03:21.940 --> 03:23.940
They're actually very much important to him.

03:23.940 --> 03:30.580
They were deliberately created in a sinless fashion in order to beautify the world, to beautify creation.

03:30.900 --> 03:35.160
So that we would honor and glorify God based upon what we're looking at.

03:35.160 --> 03:41.440
You look at the octopus, you look at the platypus, you look at the lion, you look at all of creation

03:41.440 --> 03:45.160
and it should cause us to be in awe of the creator.

03:45.160 --> 03:48.800
The fact that he made all of these creatures.

03:48.800 --> 03:54.320
They were included in this world that God pronounced to be very good.

03:54.320 --> 03:56.320
Demonstrating that God esteems the animal kingdom.

03:56.320 --> 03:57.980
Go to Psalms 104.

03:57.980 --> 03:58.820
Psalm 104.

03:58.900 --> 03:59.800
Or if you wouldn't.

04:00.400 --> 04:06.440
Animals are not an afterthought in the mind of God. They're very much important to God not just in the creation period

04:06.520 --> 04:12.740
But even today they're very much important to God. Okay now as you turn it to Psalm 104

04:12.740 --> 04:15.120
I'm gonna read to you from Psalm 50 verse 10

04:15.120 --> 04:18.320
It says for every beast of the forest is mine

04:18.320 --> 04:25.080
Of course, this is God speaking the psalmist is writing on God's behalf and he's saying and the cattle upon a thousand hills

04:25.420 --> 04:28.400
Listen to this. I know all the fowls of the mountain

04:28.400 --> 04:35.740
And the wild beasts of the field are mine. So this is showing us that there's not a single creature on this planet

04:36.080 --> 04:41.680
There's not a single animal a single insect not a single ant think about that

04:42.400 --> 04:43.840
that God doesn't know about.

04:43.840 --> 04:46.240
He keeps track of every single creature

04:46.240 --> 04:48.400
that exists in this world.

04:48.400 --> 04:50.840
Let me read to you from Matthew chapter 10, verse 29.

04:50.840 --> 04:51.400
Listen to this.

04:51.400 --> 04:55.320
It says, are not two sparrows sold for a farthing,

04:55.320 --> 04:58.040
and one of them shall not fall to the ground

04:58.040 --> 04:59.200
without your father?

04:59.700 --> 05:08.200
This is showing us that even when birds fall to the ground and die, when an animal dies, it doesn't matter how small and insignificant they may mean to us.

05:08.200 --> 05:15.700
God knows of that death. God knows of that animal falling to the ground. He keeps track of all the creatures of the world.

05:15.700 --> 05:23.200
He knows every single bird that hatches, every single reptile, every single ant, every single insect that exists. God knows about it.

05:23.200 --> 05:24.100
In other words...

05:24.300 --> 05:32.600
He essentially keeps a catalog of all of these creatures, showing us that animals are very much important to God, right?

05:32.600 --> 05:36.100
Not only that, but we also see that he takes care of all these creatures as well.

05:36.100 --> 05:39.400
Look at Psalm 104 in verse number 10, if you would.

05:40.000 --> 05:41.840
Verse 10 of Psalm 104 says,

05:41.840 --> 05:44.640
He sendeth the springs into the valleys,

05:44.640 --> 05:46.320
which run among the hills.

05:46.320 --> 05:49.840
They give drink to every beast of the field.

05:49.840 --> 05:52.240
The wild asses quench their thirst.

05:52.880 --> 05:54.880
By them shall the fowls of the heaven

05:54.880 --> 05:56.320
have their habitation,

05:56.320 --> 05:58.560
which sing among the branches.

05:58.560 --> 06:00.880
He water at the hills from his chambers.

06:00.880 --> 06:03.680
The earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.

06:03.680 --> 06:06.080
He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle.

06:06.600 --> 06:13.340
Herb for the service of man that he may bring forth food out of the earth and wine that make the glad the heart of man oil

06:13.340 --> 06:18.560
To make his face to shine and bread which strengthens man's heart the trees of the Lord are full of sap

06:18.600 --> 06:26.760
The cedars of Lebanon which he hath planted where the birds make their nests as for the storks the fir trees are her house

06:26.880 --> 06:34.380
The high hills are a refuge for wild goats and the rocks for the conies showing us that God not only esteems

06:34.600 --> 06:40.920
animals he takes it upon himself to take care of them every single day all of the ecosystems of

06:40.920 --> 06:48.040
this world are set forth by God in order to take care of these creatures go to Deuteronomy 22 if

06:48.040 --> 06:52.120
you would Deuteronomy 22 we're going to be all over the place in the Bible today so make sure

06:52.120 --> 06:55.800
you have a piece of paper or pen handy to mark some areas

06:57.100 --> 07:04.560
Deuteronomy 22 I'm gonna keep reading in Psalm 147 verse 9 says he giveth the beast his food and to the young ravens

07:04.700 --> 07:10.000
Which cry so when the ravens and the birds are crying out for food who feeds them?

07:10.100 --> 07:12.380
God is the one who's feeding them

07:12.380 --> 07:17.680
God is the one who sets forth the systems in place in order to take care of all of these creatures

07:18.280 --> 07:22.080
Matthew chapter 6 and verse 26 you're in Deuteronomy 22

07:22.600 --> 07:25.100
Matthew 6 26 says behold the

07:25.100 --> 07:32.860
Fouls of the air for they so not neither do they reap nor gathering to barns get your heavenly father listen to this

07:33.140 --> 07:40.980
Feed at them are you not much not much better than they now this almost this also demonstrates it in my opinion

07:41.540 --> 07:49.020
Mankind should not should avoid involving themselves in the preservation of animals making sure they don't go extinct or something like that

07:49.700 --> 07:52.660
It's just like, oh, save the whales or whatever.

07:52.660 --> 07:54.660
Save this particular bird or whatever.

07:54.660 --> 07:55.460
But you know what?

07:55.460 --> 07:57.420
If it's God's will for that bird to go extinct,

07:57.420 --> 07:58.820
then so be it.

07:58.820 --> 08:00.820
We shouldn't worry that a certain animal is going to go

08:00.820 --> 08:04.100
extinct or we're going to miss out on having these types of

08:04.100 --> 08:05.340
creatures or whatever.

08:05.340 --> 08:07.820
If God wanted to preserve that animal, he would.

08:07.820 --> 08:11.420
The only time we should really concern ourselves whether an

08:11.420 --> 08:14.460
animal goes extinct or not is if it affects our well-being.

08:15.200 --> 08:23.200
If it affects our food source, our well-being, because of the fact that God prioritizes humanity over the animal kingdom.

08:23.200 --> 08:31.200
Yeah, they're important to him. Yes, he feeds them, but we are superior to these animals and God takes care of them in order to take care of us.

08:31.200 --> 08:34.200
Now look at Deuteronomy 22 verse 6. It says here,

08:34.200 --> 08:38.520
here if a bird's nest chanced to be before thee in the way in any tree.

08:39.000 --> 08:45.240
or on the ground, whether they be young ones or eggs, and the dam sitting upon the young

08:45.240 --> 08:48.840
or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the dam with the young.

08:49.000 --> 08:53.900
But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee, that it may be

08:53.900 --> 08:57.780
well with thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days."

08:57.780 --> 09:01.620
In other words, don't mess with the birds, don't mess with the ecosystem, so that it

09:01.620 --> 09:06.480
can continue to produce more eggs, more birds for us.

09:06.480 --> 09:11.100
He said, for thee to prolong thy days, for your protein.

09:11.700 --> 09:14.020
for your food, right?

09:14.020 --> 09:17.740
For your well-being, this is why the creation and the animals

09:17.740 --> 09:18.660
are set in place.

09:18.660 --> 09:20.460
Go to Romans chapter 8, if you would.

09:20.460 --> 09:22.100
Romans chapter number 8.

09:22.100 --> 09:24.660
And so don't waste your time worrying

09:24.660 --> 09:26.860
about the extinction of this animal.

09:26.860 --> 09:28.700
Who cares about the dodo bird?

09:28.700 --> 09:29.540
Who cares?

09:29.540 --> 09:31.580
Obviously, I care a little bit about the saber tooth tiger

09:31.580 --> 09:33.020
that went extinct a while back, because I

09:33.020 --> 09:34.020
wanted to see in real life.

09:34.020 --> 09:34.340
But you know what?

09:34.340 --> 09:34.940
Who cares?

09:34.940 --> 09:38.980
Who cares if the T-Rex went extinct, the velociraptor?

09:38.980 --> 09:39.700
Who cares?

09:39.700 --> 09:41.460
if there's an animal going extinct now,

09:41.460 --> 09:45.220
if God wanted to preserve that animal, he would.

09:45.220 --> 09:47.180
What about the condor?

09:47.180 --> 09:48.540
We should save the condor.

09:48.540 --> 09:50.140
I don't eat condor so it can go extinct.

09:50.140 --> 09:52.200
I don't really bother me.

09:52.600 --> 09:55.880
If God wants to do away with the condor, then so be it.

09:55.880 --> 09:58.960
That's His agenda.

09:58.960 --> 09:59.840
That's what He wants.

09:59.840 --> 10:03.360
If He wanted to preserve that animal, He would.

10:03.360 --> 10:04.560
You're in Romans chapter 8.

10:04.560 --> 10:06.900
The fact is that God esteems animals to the point

10:06.900 --> 10:11.480
that we see here that they get provided for by God.

10:11.480 --> 10:12.440
God takes care of them.

10:12.440 --> 10:15.800
He creates an ecosystem that's conducive to their health,

10:15.800 --> 10:16.880
to their food.

10:16.880 --> 10:19.680
But at the end of the day, it's for our well-being.

10:19.680 --> 10:20.600
Let me also say this.

10:20.600 --> 10:26.160
You know, God does esteem animals not only to the point that he feeds them, but he also

10:26.160 --> 10:30.520
allows them, listen to this, to participate in the regeneration.

10:30.520 --> 10:35.080
Referring to the resurrection, referring to the millennial reign of Jesus Christ, referring

10:35.080 --> 10:38.320
to the new heaven and the new earth, believe it or not.

10:38.320 --> 10:39.320
Okay?

10:39.320 --> 10:40.560
Now look at Romans chapter 8 if you would.

10:40.560 --> 10:41.560
You're like, what?

10:41.560 --> 10:42.560
You know, is that true?

10:42.560 --> 10:43.400
Is that true?

10:43.500 --> 10:45.800
You know, do all dogs go to heaven?

10:45.800 --> 10:46.800
Is that really true?

10:46.800 --> 10:50.900
You know, because everyone wants to believe that their little dog or little cat that passed

10:50.900 --> 10:52.340
away is going to be in heaven.

10:52.340 --> 10:55.620
Well, I hate to break it to you, but no, that's not going to happen.

10:55.620 --> 10:58.200
Your animal, I just, just silence now.

10:58.200 --> 11:01.220
Your animal does not go to heaven when it dies.

11:01.220 --> 11:05.680
It does not have a spirit that can be redeemed, okay?

11:05.680 --> 11:10.920
Just as we have spirits that are, that can be redeemed by salvation.

11:10.920 --> 11:11.500
Here's the thing.

11:11.500 --> 11:14.860
though, is that there are animals in heaven.

11:14.860 --> 11:17.500
It's not because they got there through salvation.

11:17.500 --> 11:19.840
It's because of the fact that in heaven,

11:19.840 --> 11:23.500
you have these creatures known as cherry bin.

11:23.700 --> 11:26.820
which we would classify as being what? An angel.

11:26.820 --> 11:30.660
Okay? And these angels, which are called terubim,

11:30.660 --> 11:33.740
they're basically these anthropomorphic creatures

11:33.740 --> 11:37.140
that have four faces of an animal. Okay?

11:37.140 --> 11:41.740
It has one face of a lion, another face of an eagle,

11:41.740 --> 11:45.740
another face of an ox, and then it does have the face of a man, but it doesn't

11:45.740 --> 11:48.100
mean that that is an actual man,

11:48.100 --> 11:51.220
because there's a lot of creatures that God creates

11:51.220 --> 11:51.700
that has

11:51.700 --> 11:54.660
have humanly features, right?

11:54.660 --> 11:58.820
Think of monkeys and chimpanzees and apes.

11:58.820 --> 12:01.660
There's even fish out there that have human features.

12:01.660 --> 12:03.900
There's a blobfish, OK?

12:03.900 --> 12:05.620
If you look a blobfish, you're like,

12:05.620 --> 12:08.660
this looks like a miserable person.

12:08.660 --> 12:09.420
I'm not kidding you.

12:09.420 --> 12:11.100
It looks like an actual miserable person.

12:11.600 --> 12:13.880
And it has these features.

12:13.880 --> 12:15.480
Doesn't mean it's a human, it's a fish.

12:15.480 --> 12:18.480
But it's just created by the same person.

12:18.480 --> 12:20.960
So in heaven, you have these creatures.

12:20.960 --> 12:22.120
They're called beasts.

12:22.120 --> 12:24.800
And so they can be classified as animals.

12:24.800 --> 12:28.360
They're just simply a celestial beast known as cherry

12:28.360 --> 12:31.320
bim that we would classify as angels.

12:31.320 --> 12:32.320
Now look at verse 19.

12:32.320 --> 12:35.040
So let's talk about the fact that animals

12:35.040 --> 12:37.560
will be in the millennial reign.

12:37.560 --> 12:39.560
they will benefit from.

12:39.600 --> 12:44.080
the resurrection. Look at verse 19. It says, for the earnest expectation

12:44.080 --> 12:48.280
of the creature, waited for the manifestation

12:48.280 --> 12:51.360
of the sons of God. What does that mean?

12:51.360 --> 12:53.400
It means that all of creation...

12:53.600 --> 12:55.600
dogs lions

12:55.820 --> 12:59.320
monkeys all all types of creatures they're all

13:00.200 --> 13:06.720
Anticipating the resurrection when it says the manifestation of the sons of God that's referring to the resurrection

13:06.840 --> 13:13.880
That's when the sons of God which are those who believe on Jesus Christ are fully redeemed right and they are

13:14.360 --> 13:20.000
Anticipating that moment why look what it says in verse 20 for the creature was made subject to vanity

13:20.700 --> 13:24.700
Not willingly, but by reason of him who have subjected the same in hope

13:25.580 --> 13:29.000
So in other words creatures live and die they eat each other

13:29.780 --> 13:36.880
Super violent right and it says here that there are subject to vanity meaning that like you know animals

13:36.880 --> 13:40.200
They don't really have any significant eternal purpose

13:41.200 --> 13:45.200
They did in the Garden of Eden, right?

13:45.200 --> 13:48.200
But they don't really serve any eternal significance right now.

13:48.200 --> 13:50.200
So they just have a vain life.

13:50.200 --> 13:52.200
You and I, we have purpose, right?

13:52.200 --> 13:54.200
We have a purpose, the Bible tells us,

13:54.200 --> 13:58.200
for we are as workmanship created in Christ Jesus unto good works,

13:58.200 --> 14:01.000
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

14:01.100 --> 14:07.780
God has a purpose for us to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ animals do not they are subject to vanity

14:08.380 --> 14:13.660
After the fall, okay. He says they're subject to vanity not willingly in other words. They didn't choose that

14:14.100 --> 14:19.300
They're subject to that because of Adam's transgression verse 21 says because the creature itself

14:19.980 --> 14:21.020
also

14:21.020 --> 14:27.040
Shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God

14:27.900 --> 14:35.900
So that's showing us that in the millennial reign, in the new heaven and new earth, there will be everlasting animals as well.

14:35.900 --> 14:38.900
Creatures will not die in the new heaven and the new earth.

14:38.900 --> 14:42.900
And so, you know, that's one part that the Jehovah's Witness got right on their little pictures.

14:42.900 --> 14:49.900
You know, they always have these pictures where people are like walking in a forest with all types of animals and they're hugging, you know, the bears or whatever.

14:49.900 --> 14:53.900
That's true. They're not going to see that, but it is a real thing though.

14:55.300 --> 15:00.300
And so, good job on the illustration there.

15:00.300 --> 15:05.200
But it says here that they will be delivered from the bondage of corruption, meaning that they're not going to die anymore.

15:05.400 --> 15:10.600
They will live, they will benefit from the liberty of the children of God.

15:10.600 --> 15:11.100
Okay?

15:11.100 --> 15:16.400
The residual blessings of the resurrection even affects all of creation and animals as well.

15:16.400 --> 15:17.200
Look at verse 22.

15:17.200 --> 15:24.800
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

15:25.100 --> 15:31.820
It's basically stating that all of creation, the animal kingdom, they are groaning, they're

15:31.820 --> 15:37.180
almost just awaiting, they're anticipating, they're in pain, they're complaining.

15:37.180 --> 15:38.180
Why?

15:38.180 --> 15:42.820
Because they just live and die, live and die with absolutely no purpose behind it.

15:42.820 --> 15:43.820
Okay?

15:43.820 --> 15:45.320
And not only they...

15:45.900 --> 15:52.340
But we ourselves, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the spirit, even we ourselves grown within ourselves

15:53.020 --> 15:55.260
waiting for the adoption to with the redemption of our body.

15:55.260 --> 16:01.700
So obviously the purpose of the text here is to demonstrate that we grown within ourselves as well, meaning that you know,

16:01.700 --> 16:05.180
Oh wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from this body of death?

16:05.180 --> 16:13.220
You know, we struggle with sin. We are tempted to sin. We have this corruptible flesh that is constantly just fighting against us.

16:13.220 --> 16:13.900
We got to walk in

16:13.900 --> 16:18.820
the spirit intentionally live for God and so I was just like man I hate my flesh I hate

16:18.820 --> 16:23.980
the fact that I'm tempted we grow within ourselves and God is trying to communicate here that

16:23.980 --> 16:26.620
to a lesser extent the animal kingdom does the same thing.

16:27.100 --> 16:32.460
because they're subject to vanity not willingly but because of Adam right just as we kind of

16:32.460 --> 16:38.540
complain over the fact that we live and die we're tempted in like manner the animal kingdom does

16:38.540 --> 16:43.100
the same so you know your dog does not go to heaven he will not meet you there in heaven i'm

16:43.100 --> 16:49.100
sorry to break that to you but you know there are creatures in heaven and animals in general

16:49.100 --> 16:55.020
will inherit the kingdom of god okay there will be animals in the millennial reign now go go back

16:55.100 --> 16:57.820
Back to Genesis chapter 1 again, Genesis chapter 1.

16:57.820 --> 17:02.780
Let me read you from Isaiah chapter 11 and verse number 6.

17:02.780 --> 17:05.620
This is a picture of the millennial reign.

17:05.620 --> 17:08.900
Some can say it's also possibly talking about the new heaven

17:08.900 --> 17:10.060
and the new earth.

17:10.060 --> 17:14.100
But it says in Isaiah chapter 11 and verse 6,

17:14.100 --> 17:17.060
the wolf also shall dwell with the lamb.

17:17.700 --> 17:24.320
the leopard shall lie down with the kid and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together and a little child

17:24.740 --> 17:28.820
Shall lead them so this is showing us that there's going to come a time

17:29.620 --> 17:31.500
where the

17:32.000 --> 17:40.000
Spiritual atmosphere is completely transfigured to the point where a wolf that would typically consume a lamb will actually dwell together

17:40.000 --> 17:43.960
They'll be friends again. Okay, you know the fox and the hound, right?

17:44.120 --> 17:49.360
You know the leopard it shall lie down with the kid the calf with the young lion and to just add to

17:50.080 --> 17:52.440
the extreme, you know

17:53.600 --> 17:56.320
Transformation here. It says that a little child will lead them

17:56.320 --> 18:00.000
You'll play follow the leader with the wolf and the lamb the

18:00.000 --> 18:01.960
the leopard and so forth, the lion.

18:01.960 --> 18:02.800
It goes on the same verse seven,

18:02.800 --> 18:05.100
and the cow and the bear shall feed.

18:05.300 --> 18:12.180
their young ones shall lie down together and the lion shall eat straw like the ox." So obviously

18:12.180 --> 18:16.260
the biology is also changed within that millennial reign and the new heaven and new earth

18:16.260 --> 18:20.900
among the animal kingdom to the point where the bible says that the lion who once previously ate

18:21.860 --> 18:28.340
meat and killed and drank blood and all that is now eating straw like an ox. It says the sucking

18:28.340 --> 18:33.220
child shall play on the whole of the asp and the wean child shall put in

18:33.300 --> 18:39.220
hand in the cockatrice's den. In other words, you know, this is going to be such an extraordinary

18:39.220 --> 18:44.020
transformation that babies can stick their hands inside of a hole of a rattlesnake,

18:44.580 --> 18:51.860
of a cobra, a den of some sort of venomous viper, and it's not going to bite them. It poses no

18:51.860 --> 18:57.860
threat, no harm. This is the transfiguration that's going to take place. They shall not hurt nor

18:57.860 --> 19:01.300
nor destroy in all my holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of

19:01.300 --> 19:03.800
of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea."

19:03.800 --> 19:04.600
What does it say?

19:04.600 --> 19:06.460
It's showing us that though we get

19:06.460 --> 19:09.100
to benefit from the millennial reign, the new heaven

19:09.100 --> 19:10.100
and the earth, guess what?

19:10.100 --> 19:12.660
The animal kingdom does as well.

19:12.660 --> 19:14.180
Now, a lot of times people ask me,

19:14.180 --> 19:16.700
so do you think a T-Rex will be there?

19:16.700 --> 19:19.020
Are we going to be able to see the pterodactyl?

19:19.020 --> 19:19.820
Are we going to see?

19:19.820 --> 19:20.340
I don't know.

19:20.340 --> 19:21.340
I hope so.

19:21.340 --> 19:23.780
But the text doesn't really explicitly say it.

19:23.780 --> 19:26.260
And so maybe animals who have already gone extinct

19:26.260 --> 19:27.340
are just extinct forever.

19:27.340 --> 19:28.540
We don't know.

19:28.540 --> 19:29.040
OK.

19:29.040 --> 19:29.200
you

19:29.500 --> 19:32.500
But, something can change, I don't know.

19:32.500 --> 19:37.500
So, the point that I'm making here is that animals are not an afterthought in the mind of God.

19:37.500 --> 19:40.500
They actually have some importance in the eyes of God.

19:40.500 --> 19:45.000
Point number two is that animals, and I mentioned this a little bit in the first point,

19:45.000 --> 19:49.500
animals are inferior to mankind and should be dominated by man.

19:49.500 --> 19:50.500
Amen.

19:50.500 --> 19:52.500
They are inferior.

19:52.500 --> 19:55.900
It doesn't mean they're not important, but they're not as important as us.

19:56.400 --> 20:00.280
So stop calling your animal, your little pet, more important.

20:00.280 --> 20:02.880
Stop calling them a child.

20:02.880 --> 20:03.640
OK?

20:03.640 --> 20:04.520
It's not right.

20:04.520 --> 20:05.960
It's not biblical.

20:05.960 --> 20:07.440
It's nonsense.

20:07.440 --> 20:09.920
It's foolish because animals are animals.

20:09.920 --> 20:12.800
And in God's eyes, they are inferior to man.

20:12.800 --> 20:13.360
OK?

20:13.360 --> 20:16.880
Never put an animal on the same pedestal as a human being,

20:16.880 --> 20:17.640
especially a child.

20:18.500 --> 20:24.700
So the Bible tells us it teaches us that animals are inferior to mankind and should be dominated by mankind as well

20:24.800 --> 20:31.740
Look at Genesis 1 again in verse 26. It says in God said let us make man in our image after our likeness

20:32.400 --> 20:35.760
Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea

20:36.400 --> 20:43.620
Over the foul of the air over the cattle and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth

20:43.760 --> 20:47.280
So God created man in his own image in the image of God created

20:47.280 --> 20:53.480
He him male and female created he them verse 28 and God blessed them and sent into them be fruitful and multiply and

20:54.040 --> 20:56.640
Replenish the earth listen to this and subdue it

20:57.300 --> 21:03.100
Okay, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the foul of the air and over every living thing that move

21:03.100 --> 21:06.780
It upon the earth go to Genesis chapter 9 Genesis chapter 9

21:06.920 --> 21:11.600
So we see explicitly in the very first chapter of the Bible God says he creates man

21:11.600 --> 21:17.140
He says you are the ruler of this world. Okay over the creation

21:17.220 --> 21:20.380
You're supposed to dominate the birds the fish

21:21.000 --> 21:27.000
The beast of the field, everything that creepeth, you are at the top of the food chain.

21:27.000 --> 21:33.000
You are essentially the one who dominates the entire world and that's how it should operate.

21:33.000 --> 21:39.000
Now obviously this doesn't mean that creatures are, you know, some creatures in this world are, you know,

21:39.000 --> 21:45.000
we're stronger than them or something like that, but obviously we have the Spirit of God and we have a mind

21:45.000 --> 21:49.000
that is able to subdue animals. We have a mind that is able to hunt

21:49.000 --> 21:55.800
Animals and subdue them and use them for our benefit and so forth look at Genesis chapter 9 and verse number 2

21:55.800 --> 22:00.520
It says the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth

22:01.100 --> 22:08.860
And upon every foul of the air, upon all that moveeth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea, into your hand are they delivered."

22:08.860 --> 22:13.100
So when it says that the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth,

22:13.100 --> 22:18.700
this doesn't mean that all creatures will fear you to the point where they will flee from you.

22:18.700 --> 22:19.580
Okay?

22:19.580 --> 22:22.860
This basically means that creatures will view you as a threat.

22:24.300 --> 22:27.540
Because they're afraid of you they will view you as a threat okay?

22:27.660 --> 22:31.380
You know this is why for example sometimes people will go hiking especially now

22:31.380 --> 22:38.500
This is a lot a lot of this is going on and they will accidentally step on a rattlesnake and a rattlesnake will strike them right?

22:39.100 --> 22:43.740
Or they'll just, you know, walk near a bush and a rattlesnake will come out and strike them

22:43.740 --> 22:47.340
because they either view them as a threat or they view them as food.

22:47.340 --> 22:50.460
So this should not be used as a text to say,

22:50.460 --> 22:53.260
oh man, animals are just afraid of us, period.

22:53.260 --> 22:58.540
And therefore we can play these psychological games with them or whatnot.

22:58.540 --> 23:01.900
Obviously this is simply referring to the fact that there's a major distinction between us

23:01.900 --> 23:05.500
and we can't necessarily abide together in harmony, okay?

23:05.500 --> 23:07.020
They view us as a threat.

23:07.100 --> 23:10.340
They are afraid of us and they will strike of course and

23:11.140 --> 23:15.260
Attack if need be go to Exodus chapter 21 Exodus chapter 21

23:15.700 --> 23:19.480
Psalm chapter 8 and verse 6 says this as you're turning to Exodus 21

23:19.920 --> 23:25.540
Thou made us Tim referring to mankind to have dominion over the works of thy hands

23:26.200 --> 23:31.880
Thou hast put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen, yea the beasts of the field,

23:31.880 --> 23:37.320
the fowl of the air, the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

23:37.320 --> 23:40.840
Okay, and we started off in Ecclesiastes chapter 3.

23:41.600 --> 23:46.400
Talking about the fact that you know the Bible tells us that the spirit of man go with upward and the spirit of the beast

23:46.400 --> 23:47.880
Go with downward to the earth

23:47.880 --> 23:53.180
What does that mean it's referring to the fact that the breath the spirit man is made with the spirit

23:53.180 --> 23:59.680
But it's a living spirit that can be redeemed and it can go to heaven whereas animals once they die to just stay in the earth

24:00.040 --> 24:03.760
They go back to the dirt there. That's their end

24:03.760 --> 24:09.560
They don't have a spirit or a soul that we the way we would communicate to be an actual

24:09.600 --> 24:13.600
spirit of soul that is able to worship God and desire salvation and so forth.

24:13.600 --> 24:18.720
So animals are inferior to us and we're to dominate them according to the Bible.

24:18.720 --> 24:23.040
Now this means a few things. Number one is that the life of an animal

24:23.040 --> 24:29.560
should never be prioritized over the life of a human. So that means if some

24:29.560 --> 24:36.700
dumb idiot climbs over the fence into some lion's den and you know

24:36.700 --> 24:42.940
His life is in danger and people kill the lion. No one should mourn over the death of the lion

24:43.720 --> 24:48.780
Now I'll be it the guy's an idiot for climbing over, but it's still he's still more important than the lion

24:49.820 --> 24:52.760
But they're endangered. Yeah, we're about to make them more endangered

24:53.340 --> 24:59.640
Okay, because the life of a human is far more important than the life of a lion now obviously you know people have done this throughout

25:00.400 --> 25:03.820
the years where a child falls over or something like that.

25:03.820 --> 25:04.960
You know, people are still mourning.

25:04.960 --> 25:07.840
What's that stupid ape's name?

25:07.840 --> 25:09.400
Morambe, right?

25:09.400 --> 25:11.360
Oh, Harambe, whatever.

25:11.360 --> 25:12.200
It's an ape.

25:12.300 --> 25:14.820
I'll call him Morambe, okay, just to spite him.

25:14.820 --> 25:16.700
You know, oh man, I can't believe that.

25:16.700 --> 25:17.940
And you know what, you'd be surprised,

25:17.940 --> 25:20.340
you go in the comments section of these videos,

25:20.340 --> 25:22.900
and how much people are like condemning the fact

25:22.900 --> 25:25.580
that he died, and they wish the person who shot them

25:25.580 --> 25:27.860
would have died instead, and they prefer the life

25:27.860 --> 25:30.940
of the beast over the life of the animal,

25:30.940 --> 25:32.940
or excuse me, over the life of the human being,

25:32.940 --> 25:34.660
and that's godless, okay.

25:35.200 --> 25:41.580
Humans have a priority over the animals and they should never be prioritized as being you know

25:41.580 --> 25:49.500
Oh, they're far more important. You know you're the one who caged them a free willy or whatever and you know sea world and look folks

25:49.740 --> 25:56.060
Sea world is a godless organization that wants to make money and and look if you've seen blackfish

25:56.060 --> 25:58.060
You know what I'm talking about okay?

25:58.440 --> 26:02.740
You know they they capture these these killer whales okay?

26:03.400 --> 26:06.760
Which I think is the right thing to do. It's okay to do that according to the Bible

26:07.200 --> 26:11.100
You can capture animals and use them for your entertainment and amusement. Yes

26:11.340 --> 26:15.700
We're gonna get into that just a bit and I could see people getting all mad and stuff

26:15.700 --> 26:17.320
I don't think that's right, you know

26:17.320 --> 26:24.780
That's because you don't really have the biblical perspective here that humans are more important and God's God literally made a zoo for Adam

26:25.860 --> 26:28.460
Okay, you're just like name them what you want

26:29.500 --> 26:31.900
You know, it's just like marambe.

26:31.900 --> 26:34.500
It sounds good.

26:34.500 --> 26:36.980
Who cares, right?

26:36.980 --> 26:40.820
But you have blackfish that capture these animals for

26:40.820 --> 26:41.500
entertainment.

26:41.500 --> 26:43.900
But here's where they went wrong, is they allowed people

26:43.900 --> 26:47.020
to get in the water with these killer whales.

26:47.020 --> 26:48.260
They're called killer whales.

26:50.300 --> 26:56.800
And so they're getting in the water with these killer whales and these animals are literally killing a ton of people. I mean as far as I know

26:58.240 --> 27:04.640
What's the tillicum was the name of the major culprit? He killed like five people including one of the trainers

27:05.080 --> 27:07.080
He mutilated

27:07.360 --> 27:08.600
its trainer

27:08.900 --> 27:14.820
I'm talking about like mutilated and paraded a homeless man like prior to that had climbed into

27:15.380 --> 27:21.660
Sea world at night and went into the water and till it come like mutilated him and paraded him on his back

27:22.260 --> 27:27.880
Okay, I mean talk about a killer a murder murder as well, right? But what do you expect? Okay?

27:27.880 --> 27:33.160
It's a massive creature and you know, just just enjoy it through the other side of the glass

27:33.540 --> 27:35.820
You don't got to get in there with them. Okay

27:36.600 --> 27:40.240
You know, I'm all for enjoying animals and such,

27:40.240 --> 27:43.480
but I'm not for sticking my hand inside an alligator's mouth

27:43.480 --> 27:45.920
to show you how fast it can snap down before I can take away

27:45.920 --> 27:47.680
my hand or something like that.

27:47.680 --> 27:53.240
No, I'll gladly enjoy people who make those videos, though.

27:53.240 --> 27:57.920
The Yoink guy on Instagram, I love watching his stuff.

27:57.920 --> 27:59.560
I'm in the Florida Everglades, and he's

27:59.560 --> 28:03.160
like yoinking alligators and yoinking, you know.

28:03.500 --> 28:05.840
rattlesnakes or whatever, cotton mouths,

28:05.840 --> 28:08.080
and he's just grabbing poison, venomous things.

28:08.080 --> 28:09.400
I mean, I'm all for watching,

28:09.400 --> 28:11.080
but everyone says in the comments section,

28:11.080 --> 28:12.640
like one day we're gonna stop seeing videos

28:12.640 --> 28:13.840
and we're gonna know why.

28:13.840 --> 28:16.960
It's true, because it's just, you know,

28:16.960 --> 28:18.960
it's not safe to do, right?

28:18.960 --> 28:23.200
But you know, when Tilikum, this great whale,

28:23.200 --> 28:27.920
this killer whale, he killed its trainer,

28:27.920 --> 28:29.480
you know, this is what should have happened.

28:29.480 --> 28:30.700
It should have been put down.

28:31.100 --> 28:36.220
It should have been put down long ago when it killed the first person.

28:36.220 --> 28:40.540
But this is what the people said, they're like, that whale is worth a lot of money,

28:40.540 --> 28:42.960
that trainer had to go.

28:42.960 --> 28:44.860
And obviously now, you know...

28:45.300 --> 28:50.760
They had some new things or whatever where they're not allowing people to get in the water or whatever. That's smart move

28:51.140 --> 28:55.740
But here's the thing is according to the biblical standard any animal that

28:56.580 --> 29:03.860
Injures a person bites a person gores a person causes any bodily injury to a person needs to be killed

29:04.900 --> 29:09.900
Look at Exodus 21 verse 28 if an ox gore a man or a woman that they die

29:10.500 --> 29:12.500
Then the ox shall be surely stoned

29:13.600 --> 29:18.800
and his flesh shall not be eaten, but the owner of the ox shall be quiet, the Bible says.

29:18.800 --> 29:24.560
But if the ox were wont to push with his horns in times past, then hath been testified to his owner,

29:25.200 --> 29:31.040
and he hath not kept a man, but that he hath killed a man or a woman, the ox shall be stone,

29:31.040 --> 29:37.280
and his owner also shall be put to death." So the Bible's saying here, if your pit bull

29:37.280 --> 29:39.600
has attacked someone.

29:39.900 --> 29:44.300
has bitten the child, that dog should be put down.

29:44.300 --> 29:46.860
Now, if the pit bull has attacked someone,

29:46.860 --> 29:49.700
and then you find out its history that it's accustomed

29:49.700 --> 29:52.820
to attacking people, it's bitten other people in times past,

29:52.820 --> 29:54.780
the biblical standard is not only that the animal

29:54.780 --> 29:57.500
should be put to death, the owner is also put to death.

29:57.500 --> 30:00.580
That's what the Bible teaches.

30:00.580 --> 30:02.460
You say, well it says ox, well you can apply this

30:02.460 --> 30:05.460
all across the board, you can apply this to a cat

30:05.460 --> 30:06.620
if you want, okay.

30:07.300 --> 30:09.380
It applies to any animal, any animal that

30:09.380 --> 30:10.620
causes any type of injury.

30:10.620 --> 30:11.500
What is it showing us?

30:11.500 --> 30:13.900
It's showing us that God prioritizes

30:13.900 --> 30:17.660
the life of a human over the animal.

30:17.660 --> 30:19.220
Put down the pit bull.

30:19.220 --> 30:21.100
Put down the rottweiler.

30:21.100 --> 30:22.540
Put down the chihuahua.

30:22.540 --> 30:23.420
Now, I'm just kidding.

30:23.420 --> 30:25.780
I don't know how much bodily harm a chihuahua can cause.

30:25.780 --> 30:27.000
Little ankle biters.

30:27.200 --> 30:32.400
But, you know, put down the animal that actually harms another human being.

30:32.400 --> 30:35.840
Well, it grew up with us, it's like our family.

30:35.840 --> 30:40.300
Yeah, but according to biblical standards, the Bible teaches that that thing should be put to death.

30:40.300 --> 30:45.300
And if you don't, in God's eyes, you should be put to death if that thing attacks another person again.

30:45.300 --> 30:48.000
And look, this is why I can't understand when owners of dogs...

30:48.000 --> 30:50.200
Let me just vent real quick.

30:50.800 --> 30:54.160
Okay, you want to have a dog, you know, more power to you.

30:54.160 --> 30:56.000
Keep that thing on a leash!

30:56.000 --> 31:00.080
When you're out in public, keep that thing on a leash.

31:00.080 --> 31:03.120
One of the things that just boils my blood is when we're at a park,

31:03.120 --> 31:06.800
you know, that's made for children, okay, there's like a playground,

31:07.520 --> 31:13.600
and then they just let their dog run without a leash, and it's just like, you know,

31:13.600 --> 31:14.720
oh no, it's friendly!

31:15.800 --> 31:18.040
Don't worry, it's never bitten the soul.

31:18.040 --> 31:20.520
Yeah, but it might see the color purple on my kid's shirt

31:20.520 --> 31:23.640
and just flip and then just go bite him or something.

31:23.640 --> 31:25.160
You know, a couple months ago,

31:25.160 --> 31:28.000
I don't know, maybe it was like a year ago or something,

31:28.000 --> 31:30.440
my wife had taken my kids to a particular park.

31:30.440 --> 31:32.480
I think it was in Corona, is that right?

31:32.480 --> 31:35.640
It was in Corona and my wife was in the van

31:35.640 --> 31:37.160
and I don't know who else was in the van,

31:37.160 --> 31:41.120
but like four of my kids were out playing in the playground

31:41.120 --> 31:42.800
and this person comes.

31:43.000 --> 31:49.160
with pit bulls off the leash, just running in the playground.

31:49.160 --> 31:52.600
And so it spots my kids, and it just

31:52.600 --> 31:56.040
starts charging after my kids.

31:56.040 --> 32:01.280
And Quicksilver over here, as I is, everyone just books it.

32:01.280 --> 32:03.520
They all start, obviously, they say you shouldn't run.

32:03.520 --> 32:06.640
But what do you expect the kids to do, though?

32:06.640 --> 32:08.080
I say that you shouldn't run.

32:08.080 --> 32:09.840
I'll probably run if a pit bull came at me.

32:09.840 --> 32:10.800
It's just the natural.

32:11.200 --> 32:16.880
But, you know, they start running, and Helen was the only one who literally just stood

32:16.880 --> 32:19.720
her ground and just stood there and just like looked at it.

32:19.720 --> 32:26.400
But once, uh, Isaiah's ran, like it ran after them, and Isaiah's ran so fast towards the

32:26.400 --> 32:29.080
van that he like dove through the window.

32:29.080 --> 32:34.680
He was like, he just dove through the window, you know.

32:34.680 --> 32:36.640
And he was screaming, he was like, ahhhhhh.

32:37.200 --> 32:40.800
You know?

32:40.800 --> 32:41.960
And the dog didn't end up doing it.

32:41.960 --> 32:45.040
He's probably tripping out like, damn, that kid can jump.

32:45.040 --> 32:47.360
I've never seen that.

32:47.360 --> 32:50.320
But you know, the owner comes or whatever and grabs the dogs or whatnot and is just

32:50.320 --> 32:54.040
like, have some common sense.

32:54.040 --> 32:58.320
If you're going to have an animal, be responsible, keep that thing on a leash.

32:58.320 --> 32:59.320
It's never bitten anybody.

32:59.320 --> 33:01.320
So do you want to change that?

33:02.500 --> 33:06.400
Because it could potentially change now that you have them off of a leash and it sees someone

33:06.400 --> 33:07.400
and it bites them.

33:07.400 --> 33:08.460
That happens all the time.

33:08.460 --> 33:10.620
Just look up stories about pit bulls killing children.

33:10.620 --> 33:13.060
It happens a lot.

33:13.060 --> 33:16.220
And we as Christians need to recognize, go to Matthew chapter 10 if you would, Matthew

33:16.220 --> 33:23.500
chapter 10, need to recognize that animals should not be prioritized over humans.

33:23.500 --> 33:28.180
If they injure a child, a human, they should be put to death.

33:30.600 --> 33:33.880
I remember when we were living in Huntington Beach,

33:33.880 --> 33:36.920
one of our neighbors had one of those small dogs,

33:36.920 --> 33:39.840
not a chihuahua, but like a little bigger than a chihuahua.

33:39.840 --> 33:43.120
Just one of those annoying, expensive dogs, okay?

33:43.120 --> 33:45.680
And my wife was walking with my kids

33:45.680 --> 33:47.400
and they see the neighbor and they had this dog.

33:47.400 --> 33:49.720
And if you have a dog like that, just don't tell me.

33:49.720 --> 33:52.440
But the dog was right there

33:52.440 --> 33:54.840
and the dog just bit my wife's ankle.

33:54.840 --> 33:56.700
And my wife was pregnant at the time.

33:57.200 --> 34:00.880
Okay, which actually can cause a lot of problems for the pregnancy if that happens

34:01.680 --> 34:05.040
And then the owner's like did my dog just bite you and my wife was like yeah

34:05.040 --> 34:09.760
He's like, okay. I gotta go now and she just takes the dog. She's just like walks away, you know, no, sorry

34:09.760 --> 34:16.080
No, no, it's just like sometimes dog owners are just loony. Okay, don't be a loony dog owner. Okay

34:17.500 --> 34:22.300
Point being here is that animals should be put to death if they attack people.

34:22.300 --> 34:24.700
Okay, Tilikum should have died a long time ago.

34:24.700 --> 34:32.300
Harambe, you know, if it poses a threat to a person, you know, good that it died, just go get another ape.

34:32.300 --> 34:36.500
It's not hard, bro. There's a ton of them all over the world.

34:36.500 --> 34:38.500
Just go get it, name a Harambe.

34:38.500 --> 34:41.300
It's not hard at all.

34:41.300 --> 34:42.300
Okay.

34:42.300 --> 34:44.700
You know, what's Tilikum's stage name?

34:45.900 --> 34:53.100
Shamu, you know just kill till it come get another whale call it Shamu. No one's gonna know the difference. Okay

34:54.060 --> 34:58.140
It's real simple. You're in Matthew chapter 10. I'm gonna reach you from Matthew chapter 8 and

34:58.740 --> 35:05.000
You say well, is this really like a legitimate position? Well think about this, you know in Matthew chapter 8

35:05.760 --> 35:10.180
God delivers a man from an evil spirit known as Legion

35:11.100 --> 35:16.100
And these demons petition the Lord to go into the swine.

35:16.100 --> 35:17.100
Okay?

35:17.100 --> 35:20.100
And then they are drowned in the sea.

35:20.100 --> 35:26.100
So in order to spare one man's life, an entire legion of demons go into the swine,

35:26.100 --> 35:31.100
the ton of swine, and they just run off the cliff and drown in the sea.

35:31.100 --> 35:34.000
And the Lord wasn't like, man, what a waste.

35:34.100 --> 35:38.720
Oh man, you know, this is sad, you know, let's mourn for the pigs or whatever.

35:38.720 --> 35:43.280
You know, he's just like, see, the man's life is more important than that.

35:43.280 --> 35:44.280
Okay?

35:44.280 --> 35:46.120
So, man is more important than animals.

35:46.120 --> 35:50.960
Look at Matthew chapter 10 verse 30, it says, but the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

35:50.960 --> 35:56.880
Fear ye not therefore, listen to this, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

35:57.200 --> 36:03.200
So even though he feeds the sparrows, he provides for the sparrows, he creates the perfect atmosphere

36:03.200 --> 36:08.880
for the sparrow to replenish, to multiply, to be fed, to live its life cycle. The Bible says here

36:08.880 --> 36:15.040
that we as humans are of more value than many sparrows. Look at chapter 12 if you would. Chapter

36:15.040 --> 36:21.600
12, Matthew chapter 12 verse 11 says this, and he said unto them verse 11, he said unto them,

36:21.600 --> 36:23.920
What man shall there be among you?

36:24.100 --> 36:27.360
That shall have one sheep and if it fall into a pit on the Sabbath day

36:27.400 --> 36:33.700
We not laid hold on it and lift it out. How much then is a man better than sheep?

36:34.260 --> 36:38.440
Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the Sabbath days. What is Jesus doing?

36:38.440 --> 36:43.160
He's prioritizing the life of a human over the life of an animal

36:43.160 --> 36:47.700
Let's go back to the Old Testament Deuteronomy chapter 12 Deuteronomy chapter 12

36:48.400 --> 36:53.000
The point being here is that man is far more important than animals.

36:54.200 --> 36:56.000
Animals are not an afterthought.

36:56.400 --> 36:58.300
They are valuable in the eyes of God.

36:58.400 --> 37:00.000
However, they are inferior.

37:00.300 --> 37:03.600
The life of an animal should never be prioritized over the life of a human.

37:03.900 --> 37:06.100
Number two is that animals are to improve.

37:06.100 --> 37:06.800
Listen to this.

37:07.100 --> 37:15.800
Animals are to improve man's quality of life through food, entertainment, and companionship.

37:16.200 --> 37:21.200
Okay, so this is the purpose of animals in this world.

37:21.200 --> 37:25.080
They are to improve our quality of life through food,

37:25.080 --> 37:27.920
entertainment, and companionship.

37:27.920 --> 37:29.360
Now, think about this, you know,

37:29.360 --> 37:32.200
from the beginning it was so, okay.

37:32.200 --> 37:34.160
In Genesis 3 after the fall,

37:34.160 --> 37:37.920
what does God do to clothe Adam and Eve

37:37.920 --> 37:38.960
and protect them from the elements?

37:38.960 --> 37:41.600
He kills an animal and clothes them with skins, right?

37:42.000 --> 37:46.400
We see in Exodus chapter 12 the Passover lamb being instituted.

37:46.400 --> 37:54.080
We have in Exodus 29 animals that are repeatedly, every single day, being sacrificed.

37:54.080 --> 38:00.800
Every single, like morning and night, animals are continuously sacrificed in Israel.

38:00.800 --> 38:03.760
I mean the smell would have been just delicious.

38:03.760 --> 38:06.960
Burn offerings, barbecue every single day.

38:06.960 --> 38:07.600
Okay.

38:08.500 --> 38:14.500
And this is from God's command. He's like slaughter these animals every single day to atone for the sins and eat thereof.

38:14.500 --> 38:16.500
We're not going to let it all go to waste. Amen.

38:17.500 --> 38:24.500
You know, you have Numbers 28-29 where you have the regular feast day sacrifices and so forth.

38:24.500 --> 38:28.500
And so they're improved the quality of life through food, entertainment, and companionship.

38:28.500 --> 38:31.500
You're in Deuteronomy 12. Let me read to you from Genesis 9 verse 3 says,

38:31.500 --> 38:35.400
Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you.

38:35.600 --> 38:40.160
Even as the green herb have I given you all things look at Deuteronomy 12 verse 15

38:40.320 --> 38:45.180
Notwithstanding thou mayst kill and eat flesh in all thy gates. This is referring to animals

38:45.920 --> 38:47.920
whatsoever thy soul lusteth after

38:48.560 --> 38:54.680
According to the blessing of the Lord thy God which he hath given thee the unclean and the clean may eat thereof as

38:54.800 --> 38:58.360
Of the roebuck and as of the heart so he's saying here

38:59.000 --> 39:05.480
You know eat the food and it's a signal that God is blessing you with flesh to eat look at verse 20

39:06.120 --> 39:10.140
Deuteronomy 12 verse 20 says when the Lord thy God shall enlarge thy border

39:10.900 --> 39:16.420
As he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh.

39:16.420 --> 39:21.220
Thou mayest eat flesh. Whatso'er for thy soul lusteth after the Bible says.

39:21.220 --> 39:24.580
Go to Job chapter 41. Job chapter 41.

39:24.580 --> 39:30.500
So this is showing us that the Bible does not promote a vegan or vegetarian diet.

39:31.860 --> 39:33.620
Okay. Now initially,

39:34.900 --> 39:42.100
During the creation period prior to the fall believe it or not everyone was vegetarian, okay, and when I say everyone

39:42.100 --> 39:44.100
I mean just Adam and Eve

39:44.100 --> 39:46.200
Alright, not even their kids just them

39:47.700 --> 39:51.380
Obviously, the eating of flesh was introduced after the fall,

39:51.380 --> 39:53.300
because after the fall, animals are being killed,

39:53.300 --> 39:55.420
they're being offered in sacrifices, and so forth.

39:55.420 --> 39:57.860
And this is a point that vegans and vegetarians would

39:57.860 --> 39:59.580
try to make from a biblical perspective,

39:59.580 --> 40:03.940
like, well, Adam and Eve, they didn't eat flesh,

40:03.940 --> 40:07.180
and so eating flesh is a sign of the fall.

40:07.180 --> 40:08.460
Yes, of course.

40:08.460 --> 40:10.100
We agree with that 100%.

40:10.100 --> 40:11.940
The problem is this, is that trying to go back

40:11.940 --> 40:15.420
to the Garden of Eden atmosphere,

40:15.700 --> 40:20.700
Without Christ, you cannot become a vegan or a vegetarian and use the Bible to substantiate

40:20.700 --> 40:21.700
that position.

40:21.700 --> 40:25.660
Because according to the Bible, we're not going to be vegetarians until the millennial

40:25.660 --> 40:27.220
reign.

40:27.220 --> 40:32.260
When Christ returns, it begins to transfigure the world once again, and our diets are changed.

40:32.260 --> 40:34.780
Now, even then, in the millennial reign, people are still eating meat.

40:36.200 --> 40:39.200
The new heaven and new earth is where meat is completely removed.

40:39.200 --> 40:43.200
And we're just eating fruits and vegetables or whatever.

40:43.200 --> 40:46.200
And so, you know, eat up now because there's going to come a time

40:46.200 --> 40:47.200
where we're not going to be able to do that anymore.

40:48.200 --> 40:53.640
Point being here is that, you know, just because they were vegetarians in the Garden of Eden

40:53.640 --> 40:56.200
doesn't mean that's what we're supposed to do now.

40:56.200 --> 41:01.080
Because obviously there's a major change that has taken place between the Garden of Eden and the fall.

41:01.080 --> 41:06.760
Look at Job chapter 41. Let me read to you from 1st Timothy chapter 4.

41:07.320 --> 41:09.640
You say, well, you know, okay, I get it, but...

41:11.400 --> 41:13.920
I think there's only certain meats you're supposed to eat.

41:13.920 --> 41:18.160
I think we should hold to Old Testament dietary laws.

41:18.160 --> 41:23.320
No shrimp, no catfish, no pork or whatever.

41:23.320 --> 41:26.280
That sounds like a miserable existence.

41:26.280 --> 41:29.000
No bacon, no sausage.

41:29.000 --> 41:31.320
But the Bible actually teaches us in the New Testament

41:31.320 --> 41:33.440
that these things are permissible.

41:33.440 --> 41:35.440
Now obviously these things were not permissible

41:35.440 --> 41:38.600
in the Old Testament under the Mosaic dietary laws.

41:39.300 --> 41:50.500
But not because it posed a moral problem, but because it was proposing just disobedience to God's command to not eat of these animals because it pictured sin.

41:50.500 --> 41:57.020
Okay, it pictured being a participant in other people's, other nations transgressions and cultures and beliefs.

41:57.020 --> 42:01.340
But that was just a short window of time where that was imposed.

42:01.340 --> 42:07.260
In fact, the Bible literally says that mead, drinks and diverse washings, carnal ordinances...

42:07.300 --> 42:12.300
were imposed upon them until the time of Reformation.

42:12.300 --> 42:14.800
Referring to the death of Jesus Christ on the cross,

42:14.800 --> 42:17.800
he's the culmination of all those Old Testament pictures,

42:17.800 --> 42:20.600
and now he says, rise, kill, and eat.

42:20.800 --> 42:22.400
Says that in Acts chapter 10, right?

42:22.400 --> 42:25.480
Rise, kill, and eat, clean and unclean.

42:25.480 --> 42:28.080
And look, folks, if you run into a person that tells you,

42:28.080 --> 42:31.960
oh, the Bible teaches that you can't eat pork,

42:31.960 --> 42:35.000
and so therefore you're sinning, according to the Bible,

42:35.000 --> 42:38.040
they're teaching a doctrine of devils.

42:38.040 --> 42:41.500
If they have that preference for themselves, it's different.

42:42.000 --> 42:47.640
If they say the Bible does not prohibit this, but I just feel like I shouldn't eat pork,

42:47.640 --> 42:52.220
I'm not going to eat shellfish, I'm not going to eat shrimp, I'm not going to eat whatever,

42:52.220 --> 42:53.800
you know, that's okay.

42:53.800 --> 42:58.300
But when they begin to teach it as a commandment of God, now it's a transgression.

42:59.000 --> 43:03.720
Because the Bible says that the spirit speaketh expressly than in the latter times

43:03.960 --> 43:10.300
Some shall depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils speaking lies and hypocrisy

43:10.760 --> 43:17.080
Having their conscience seared with the hot iron listen to this forbidding to marry and commanding to abstain from meats

43:18.760 --> 43:24.840
And then it says this which god hath which god has commanded to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth

43:25.400 --> 43:28.840
And then he says, for every creature of God is good,

43:28.840 --> 43:33.080
and nothing to be refused if it be received with Thanksgiving.

43:33.080 --> 43:36.440
So look, obviously this has given us permission to eat any type of animal.

43:36.440 --> 43:39.160
It doesn't mean you should though.

43:39.160 --> 43:46.840
Like bats, you know, you know, dogs, not interested.

43:46.840 --> 43:49.960
But you know, there's countries out there that do that and stuff, you know.

43:49.960 --> 43:51.400
Southeast Asia is one of them.

43:52.300 --> 43:54.300
Well, they'll eat dogs.

43:54.300 --> 43:57.300
And some of you might have participated in such.

43:57.300 --> 44:01.300
I'm not going to look at anybody right now, but I'm trying not to.

44:01.300 --> 44:08.300
But it is true. Asians often, I know Asians that have eaten dog.

44:08.300 --> 44:14.300
But I can't say they're sinning by doing that because every creature of God is good and nothing to be refused.

44:14.300 --> 44:17.300
And so they are meant for our food.

44:18.100 --> 44:25.100
But as I mentioned, they're also meant to entertain us and provide amusement for us.

44:25.100 --> 44:26.100
Okay?

44:27.100 --> 44:30.100
And this is why zoos are biblical.

44:30.100 --> 44:37.100
The Wild Animal Park, Sea World, the Los Angeles Zoo, all these things are appropriate to have.

44:37.100 --> 44:39.100
There's nothing wrong with having zoos.

44:39.100 --> 44:46.100
And in fact, Solomon was so rich that he imported all types of exotic animals.

44:46.500 --> 44:51.300
The Bible literally says that he imported gold and silver, apes and peacocks.

44:51.300 --> 44:53.300
He's not eating them.

44:53.300 --> 44:55.300
He just wants to look at them.

44:55.300 --> 44:58.300
He just got animals just so he could look at.

44:58.300 --> 44:59.300
Right?

44:59.300 --> 45:03.300
And so, you know, oh man, but it's so wrong to keep these animals in cages.

45:03.300 --> 45:04.300
No, it's not.

45:04.300 --> 45:06.300
No, it's not.

45:06.300 --> 45:07.300
But that's being cruel.

45:07.300 --> 45:10.300
Well, cruelty is forbidden in the Bible for sure.

45:10.300 --> 45:12.800
But cruelty means like not feeding them.

45:13.400 --> 45:20.640
Cruelty means like you are like, you know, physically being abusive to them. You're beating them. You're maiming them, right?

45:20.640 --> 45:26.480
You're mistreating them. Putting them in a cage according to the biblical standard is not mistreatment.

45:26.720 --> 45:33.400
It's not. Because it's for our amusement. If they're getting food, you know, they don't have to go out and kill some sort of animal to get it.

45:33.400 --> 45:38.100
We're just bringing it to them. There's actually nothing wrong with that. The Bible does not condemn it. Okay?

45:38.560 --> 45:40.920
All you animal lovers are out there all mad or whatever.

45:41.500 --> 45:43.000
That's what the Bible says.

45:43.000 --> 45:46.060
James 3, 7 tells us, for every kind of beast, and of birds,

45:46.060 --> 45:48.340
and of serpents, and of things in the sea

45:48.340 --> 45:51.800
is tamed and hath been tamed of mankind.

45:52.400 --> 45:58.920
That means like there is instances throughout history where people have taken a lion and they muzzled it and they have a chain on it

45:58.920 --> 46:05.280
And it's been tamed of an all that's wrong to know it's not God says we have dominion over these things and we should have

46:05.360 --> 46:10.360
The privileges to be able to tame them and use them for amusement. Okay

46:11.640 --> 46:16.640
Solomon did it James chapter 3 talks about taming animals. Look at job 41 and verse number 5

46:18.400 --> 46:21.560
It says, will thou play with him as with the bird,

46:21.560 --> 46:24.840
or will thou bind him for thy maidens?

46:24.840 --> 46:27.580
Now let me explain the context of the chapter here, OK?

46:27.580 --> 46:33.480
In Job 41, we have a description of Leviathan, OK?

46:33.480 --> 46:37.880
Leviathan is this monstrous sea creature

46:37.880 --> 46:40.480
that no longer exists today.

46:40.480 --> 46:42.640
And based upon the description, it's

46:42.640 --> 46:44.760
actually depicting a dragon.

46:45.800 --> 46:52.120
Okay, so dragons were real we have it described here in Job 41 and it actually breathes fire

46:52.720 --> 46:57.280
You know you could look at all of the details it gives is pretty much an actual literal dragon

46:57.680 --> 47:00.980
You know like you believe in dragon. I mean the Bible talks about dragons

47:02.400 --> 47:09.200
You know, here's the thing folks, is like you have all these cultures all around the world that depict like an actual dragon somehow that's like a mythical creature.

47:09.200 --> 47:15.640
You think someone just made amongst all these other, you know, the Chinese calendar has all these real animals and then just this fake animal or something like that.

47:15.640 --> 47:18.080
No, it's probably a real creature that existed at one point.

47:19.200 --> 47:25.880
And the Bible refers to him as Leviathan. Now, why does it exist? Why did God created or why is it being spoken of?

47:25.880 --> 47:28.280
Well, Leviathan is actually a picture of Satan.

47:28.280 --> 47:29.800
Okay, because he's the dragon, right?

47:30.200 --> 47:34.040
You look at all the parallels between what the Bible says in Job 41 and

47:34.480 --> 47:38.540
Satan that kind of match up and in other passages that talk about Leviathan now

47:39.560 --> 47:41.680
Leviathan is actually the

47:42.400 --> 47:45.620
The exception to the rule of taming okay

47:46.560 --> 47:48.840
Because the Bible says we can have dominion over all animals

47:48.880 --> 47:55.720
But Job 41 along with other passages that talk about Leviathan seemed to indicate that no man could tame

47:56.040 --> 47:57.600
Leviathan was too large

47:57.900 --> 48:00.900
They couldn't even pierce its heart with spears.

48:00.900 --> 48:03.900
They couldn't fight against it, they couldn't do anything.

48:03.900 --> 48:06.900
So the way it had to be killed was through God.

48:06.900 --> 48:11.900
God specifically takes credit for breaking the heads of Leviathan

48:11.900 --> 48:16.900
and giving the meat of that creature to the inhabitants of the land.

48:16.900 --> 48:18.900
This is what it says in the book of Psalms.

48:20.200 --> 48:25.480
So you know here in job 41 he's describing this large sea creature

48:25.480 --> 48:30.080
And he's saying are you gonna play with them as with the bird like is this like any other creature that you contain?

48:30.080 --> 48:33.920
And he says are you gonna bind him for your maiden?

48:34.040 --> 48:35.640
What does that mean well?

48:35.640 --> 48:41.160
It's basically saying you know how you take a monkey and you bind the monkey and you're kind of showing it off to the ladies right?

48:41.700 --> 48:43.700
You got a little monkey and you're showing it off.

48:43.700 --> 48:44.700
You got a little alligator.

48:44.700 --> 48:46.980
You're showing it off to the girls.

48:46.980 --> 48:49.100
You're over here trying to ore a farm or whatever.

48:49.100 --> 48:50.620
And you're showing off these animals.

48:50.620 --> 48:51.700
You're like, look what I did.

48:51.700 --> 48:52.940
I tamed this thing.

48:52.940 --> 48:56.540
And the lady's like, argh.

48:56.540 --> 48:58.820
He's saying that you can't do this with Leviathan.

48:58.820 --> 48:59.900
Leviathan cannot be tamed.

48:59.900 --> 49:01.540
So this is the exception to the rule.

49:01.540 --> 49:03.580
And the spiritual application there, obviously,

49:03.580 --> 49:07.100
is that we cannot tame Satan.

49:07.100 --> 49:09.020
We are to flee Satan.

49:09.400 --> 49:11.840
Resist the devil and then he will flee from you.

49:11.840 --> 49:14.840
You know, flee from the temptations of Satan and so forth.

49:14.840 --> 49:18.480
The point that I'm making here is that the Bible obviously tells us

49:18.480 --> 49:21.880
that there are instances where people have bound and tamed animals

49:21.880 --> 49:24.880
for the entertainment even of the maidens.

49:24.880 --> 49:27.680
I'm telling you right now, Solomon probably got the apes and the peacocks

49:27.680 --> 49:30.680
in order to show them off to his 700 concubines or whatever.

49:30.680 --> 49:33.680
You know, give them something to do.

49:33.680 --> 49:34.500
Right?

49:35.200 --> 49:36.480
He's like, you guys bored?

49:36.480 --> 49:37.760
I just brought some peacocks.

49:37.760 --> 49:39.920
You guys want to go look at the apes and the peacocks

49:39.920 --> 49:40.760
or whatever?

49:40.760 --> 49:42.440
So that's what it's for.

49:42.440 --> 49:44.040
Go to Genesis chapter 2.

49:44.040 --> 49:49.280
So it's not wrong to trap animals and have them

49:49.280 --> 49:50.240
for your entertainment.

49:50.240 --> 49:54.000
Obviously, the Bible expects us to be kind to animals

49:54.000 --> 49:55.560
and not to be cruel.

49:55.560 --> 49:56.280
And you know what?

49:56.280 --> 49:58.320
I'm not going to take my definition of cruel

49:58.320 --> 49:59.960
from animal lovers who hate God.

50:01.400 --> 50:04.440
Yeah, you say not cruel, but putting them in a cage is cruel.

50:04.440 --> 50:05.720
You don't know what you're talking about.

50:05.720 --> 50:07.000
You're an unsafe person.

50:07.000 --> 50:11.080
I'm talking about from a biblical perspective, a biblical standard,

50:11.080 --> 50:15.960
and I don't take my philosophies and my ideologies from Christ rejecters.

50:15.960 --> 50:16.460
Okay?

50:17.720 --> 50:18.760
You're in Genesis 2.

50:18.760 --> 50:22.600
So animals are created for our food.

50:22.600 --> 50:23.960
Every creature of God is good.

50:24.520 --> 50:26.360
They're created for our entertainment.

50:26.360 --> 50:27.160
Go to SeaWorld.

50:27.900 --> 50:33.400
Go to Wild Animal Park, go look at the giraffes and the lions and be entertained by it.

50:33.400 --> 50:35.400
Go knock on the glass or whatever.

50:36.700 --> 50:38.900
If you don't like it, you can go somewhere else. Amen.

50:39.500 --> 50:42.400
We have dominion over them. This is what the Bible teaches. Okay?

50:42.900 --> 50:45.900
But they're also made for our companionship as well.

50:46.200 --> 50:46.700
Okay?

50:46.900 --> 50:48.900
Here's for you softies out there.

50:49.100 --> 50:51.900
You're bleeding hearts. Now here's the part that you like. Okay?

50:52.400 --> 50:54.900
It's true. They are made for companionship.

50:55.800 --> 51:01.880
It's a biblical thing. I mean think about this in 2nd Samuel when Nathan is confronting David

51:02.520 --> 51:05.960
he uses the illustration of a man who had one Ulam.

51:06.700 --> 51:11.020
And he says in that story, the Ulam was raised with them

51:11.020 --> 51:13.340
and it became like a daughter unto them.

51:13.340 --> 51:15.140
It was just like a part of their family.

51:15.140 --> 51:17.260
It just kind of grew up with them.

51:17.260 --> 51:20.140
Their hearts were endeared to the Ulam.

51:20.140 --> 51:21.540
And obviously, the illustration was

51:21.540 --> 51:24.980
used to demonstrate that David was an adulterer.

51:24.980 --> 51:27.980
But the point being here is that this is a legitimate thing,

51:27.980 --> 51:30.780
where you have animals for companionship.

51:30.780 --> 51:32.040
Look at Genesis 2.

51:32.040 --> 51:32.860
This is the original.

51:33.700 --> 51:39.980
Purpose of animals Genesis 2 verse 18 says the Lord God said it is not good that man should be alone. I

51:40.580 --> 51:42.700
Will make him and help meet for him

51:43.460 --> 51:48.420
So what does he do and out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field

51:48.780 --> 51:55.380
Every foul of the air and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them and whatsoever Adam called every living creature

51:55.660 --> 52:00.300
That was the name thereof so the solution to Adam being alone

52:01.200 --> 52:03.840
Because God said, let's give him a zoo.

52:03.840 --> 52:06.240
Now keep in mind, the animals had already existed

52:06.240 --> 52:08.720
at this point, okay?

52:08.720 --> 52:11.920
They were created on the fifth and the sixth day, right?

52:11.920 --> 52:13.440
There are the beast of the land and so forth

52:13.440 --> 52:14.280
were already created.

52:14.280 --> 52:16.600
These animals that he's bringing to Adam

52:16.600 --> 52:19.240
were like new animals that got formed

52:19.240 --> 52:22.000
in the Garden of Eden specifically for Adam.

52:22.500 --> 52:27.600
Understand so he's just like well. I want Adam to be alone. I want him to have some companionship

52:27.600 --> 52:32.260
I want him to interact let's give him a bunch of animals and have him name him

52:32.260 --> 52:38.480
So you know he brings this animal out, and he's just like long neck yellow thing. You know long horse

52:39.020 --> 52:45.960
Yellow neck or whatever you know gray fat whatever for the elephant, and he's just naming all these animals, but here's the problem

52:47.100 --> 52:51.100
Verse 20, Adam gave names to all the cattle and to all the fowl the air, to every beast

52:51.100 --> 52:54.420
of the field, but for Adam there was not found and help me for him.

52:54.420 --> 52:55.420
What does that tell us?

52:55.420 --> 53:02.100
It tells us that animals provide great companionship, but it's insufficient.

53:02.100 --> 53:08.260
Meaning that your little doggy, okay, is a great companion to you, but you know what?

53:08.260 --> 53:11.800
You also need to talk to people.

53:11.800 --> 53:13.820
You need to interact with human beings.

53:14.300 --> 53:17.060
I just relate better to animals.

53:17.060 --> 53:18.400
Okay, cat lady.

53:18.400 --> 53:27.640
You know, no, that's not, God created us to be social creatures with other people.

53:27.640 --> 53:33.640
And to supplement that companionship, yeah, you can have a dog, a cat, an iguana, you

53:33.640 --> 53:37.020
know, or whatever, something that can actually, like, interact with you.

53:37.700 --> 53:40.100
Okay, not a scorpion or a spider or something like that.

53:40.100 --> 53:45.220
You know, have some sort of creature that will provide some sort of companionship,

53:45.220 --> 53:49.060
entertainment and so forth. And yeah, you can love that thing for sure.

53:49.060 --> 53:55.060
Okay, there's nothing wrong with loving your dog, loving your cat, your bird or whatever it may be,

53:55.060 --> 53:58.340
but just know that it is subject to vanity, it's going to die. Okay.

53:58.340 --> 54:03.380
And also understand that that is not a substitute for real people.

54:04.700 --> 54:07.500
That's an important point.

54:07.500 --> 54:11.840
And I know I'm offending people right now because you know your little teacup dog means

54:11.840 --> 54:15.820
the world to you and you'd rather be with that dog than anybody else or whatever.

54:15.820 --> 54:20.280
I'm just giving you the biblical perspective on this that God wants you to interact with

54:20.280 --> 54:21.280
people.

54:21.280 --> 54:26.940
He wants you to socialize with actual human beings.

54:26.940 --> 54:27.700
Animals can't talk.

54:29.500 --> 54:32.940
They're just like, oh, what is it, boy?

54:32.940 --> 54:36.060
He's just like, Timmy fell down the well?

54:36.060 --> 54:39.460
No, he just crapped all over your floor,

54:39.460 --> 54:42.420
is what he's saying.

54:42.420 --> 54:45.380
It's just like, oh, man, I know what he meant by that.

54:45.380 --> 54:47.140
This is what he means.

54:47.140 --> 54:49.340
He can't talk.

54:49.340 --> 54:52.620
Oh, dolphins are just so intelligent.

54:52.620 --> 54:53.660
No, they're dolphins.

54:54.400 --> 55:01.500
But their brains are so big yet. They they get eaten up all the time by killer whales not that smart. They're animals I

55:02.080 --> 55:04.700
Just wish I could be on an island with all these animals

55:04.700 --> 55:09.200
You'd be on the top of the food chain or you'd be at the bottom of the food chain people. They would just eat you

55:10.120 --> 55:11.100
Okay

55:12.200 --> 55:17.000
Animals are great, you know. When I was a kid, every kid wants an animal. They want a little dog.

55:17.000 --> 55:25.480
You know, I had a dog. I had a scorpion. I had an iguana. What else? I had a bird at one point.

55:26.040 --> 55:31.000
But you know what? At the end of the day, you know, it gets boring and I want to go talk to actual people.

55:31.600 --> 55:39.040
I want someone to be able to interact with and you know what an animal does not have a soul in the sense that it can

55:39.220 --> 55:46.080
Feel and communicate you know spiritual things right? That's what we need people for okay

55:46.560 --> 55:51.600
And so it's important to know I'm breaking everyone's heart here, but I'm just you got to hear it

55:52.400 --> 55:57.200
Man is superior to animals. God also requires man to treat animals properly.

55:57.200 --> 55:59.600
Look at Proverbs chapter 12 if you would. Proverbs chapter 12.

56:03.000 --> 56:05.000
Proverbs chapter 12

56:05.000 --> 56:10.860
And look we do live in a society that kind of esteems animal to the point animals to the point

56:11.080 --> 56:15.480
Where it's just beyond reason and people can become rude about it, okay?

56:15.480 --> 56:19.460
You're like well you're being rude about well. Why don't you listen to everything else that animal lovers say?

56:20.200 --> 56:22.480
Okay, you know animal lovers

56:23.160 --> 56:25.980
They can get extreme cat lovers can get extreme

56:27.040 --> 56:29.040
Cat lovers can get very extreme

56:29.300 --> 56:34.100
Dog lovers can get very extreme. They just become so obsessed with their animal

56:34.900 --> 56:40.020
that to a point where it's just like, you know, they prefer animals over human beings is not right.

56:40.020 --> 56:44.340
But at the same time, folks, you know, this doesn't mean we should be cruel to animals either.

56:44.340 --> 56:50.180
Okay. Look at Proverbs 12 verse 10. This is a righteous man regarded the life of his beast.

56:50.800 --> 56:54.800
But the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

56:54.800 --> 56:57.800
So what this means is that if you're going to have an animal, make sure you take care of it. Amen?

56:57.800 --> 57:02.800
Take care of it, feed it, give it the proper shelter.

57:02.800 --> 57:07.800
Don't be mean to the animal. If you're being mean to the animal, just give it to someone else.

57:07.800 --> 57:13.800
Because God commands you not to be cruel. He wants you to be a good steward of the creation that he's provided.

57:13.800 --> 57:15.580
You know, I think about my mom.

57:15.580 --> 57:18.100
My mom had like these Maltese dogs.

57:18.500 --> 57:22.500
You know, it was like three or four of them that just yapped all the time.

57:22.500 --> 57:25.200
You know, all they're good for is just yapping, okay?

57:25.200 --> 57:28.000
It's like, brr brr brr brr brr brr brr, it's like, shut up!

57:28.000 --> 57:28.700
You know?

57:28.700 --> 57:30.500
And they just bark all the time.

57:30.500 --> 57:34.000
But she loved those dogs, and she took care of those dogs, like, really well.

57:34.700 --> 57:36.700
Like, I'm talking about like, I'm like,

57:36.700 --> 57:38.380
dang these dogs eat better than I do.

57:38.380 --> 57:39.980
So I'm like, what in the world, you know?

57:39.980 --> 57:41.740
Just giving them good food,

57:41.740 --> 57:43.100
and taking it to the vet or whatever.

57:43.100 --> 57:45.660
One of them lived to like 17 years of age or something,

57:45.660 --> 57:47.760
which is like beyond its life expectancy.

57:48.000 --> 57:50.000
And so, you know, my mom took care of it.

57:50.000 --> 57:52.280
She walked it, she fed it.

57:52.280 --> 57:53.440
I think that's proper to do.

57:53.440 --> 57:55.440
I don't think it's right to be cruel to animals.

57:55.440 --> 57:58.400
I don't think, you know, people should be killing animals

57:58.400 --> 58:01.440
and killing cats and just abusing them

58:01.440 --> 58:02.800
and putting them into a sack

58:02.800 --> 58:04.600
and throw them into a river or whatever.

58:04.600 --> 58:06.880
This is things that people used to do back in the day.

58:06.880 --> 58:07.740
You know, I don't think it's right

58:07.740 --> 58:10.840
to just intentionally run them over or something like that.

58:10.840 --> 58:12.680
10 points, you know.

58:12.680 --> 58:14.600
I do think that, you know, if you run into,

58:14.600 --> 58:15.800
like for example,

58:16.100 --> 58:19.100
If I run into a rattlesnake in my backyard, I am going to kill it.

58:19.100 --> 58:23.100
I'm not going to try to release it carefully, because I've got six kids.

58:23.100 --> 58:27.100
I'm going to grab a shovel and just chop its head off, you know what I mean?

58:27.100 --> 58:30.100
Because that thing can kill someone, it can kill my children.

58:30.100 --> 58:36.100
And so, I don't believe that's cruelty, that's me putting my children above the creature.

58:36.100 --> 58:41.100
But in general, we are not to be cruel to animals, treat them right, feed them correctly, and so forth.

58:42.000 --> 58:44.000
Now, go to Job chapter 12.

58:44.000 --> 58:45.000
Job chapter 12.

58:48.300 --> 58:50.300
Job chapter 12 if you would

58:51.060 --> 58:57.260
I'm gonna give one last point in this regard because I'm gonna this is gonna pour into my Sunday night sermon and

58:58.220 --> 59:04.060
On Sunday night. We're gonna talk about the same subject, but we're gonna get into the uncomfortable subject of bestiality

59:04.500 --> 59:11.100
Okay, and reprobation and so don't miss out on that make sure you're here for that. You'll you'll you'll learn a lot

59:11.600 --> 59:20.100
Point number three regarding man's relation to animals is that animals are meant to illustrate spiritual truths and provide practical applications to man.

59:20.500 --> 59:38.500
Proverbs chapter 12 verse 7 says this, but ask now the beast and they shall teach thee and the fowls of the air and they shall tell thee or speak to the earth and it shall teach thee and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee who knoweth not in all these things that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this.

59:38.500 --> 59:42.500
So what's the purpose of animals? Well according to the Bible we're actually learning from them.

59:43.000 --> 59:48.280
Okay, there's actually a lot of lessons that we can learn from animals go to proper chapter 6

59:49.000 --> 59:54.540
So god says, you know, they're not just there for our entertainment for our food for our companionship

59:54.840 --> 59:56.840
If we observe animals

59:57.160 --> 01:00:00.280
They can actually teach us a lot of spiritual truths

01:00:01.560 --> 01:00:03.560
You say what can we possibly learn?

01:00:04.280 --> 01:00:09.180
From any animal, you know, what is it that we could possibly learn? Well look at proper six verse six

01:00:11.000 --> 01:00:14.720
Says here in Proverbs 6 verse 6, go to the ant thou sluggard

01:00:15.440 --> 01:00:21.220
And what does the sluggard it means it's referring to a lazy person a person who does not want to work

01:00:21.320 --> 01:00:26.080
They don't want to get up in the morning. They just doom scroll all day. They don't have a job

01:00:26.600 --> 01:00:33.280
They don't lift they don't work out. They don't do anything with their lives. Okay, the Bible says here that that is a sluggard

01:00:33.800 --> 01:00:39.000
He says, go to the aunt thou sluggard, consider her ways, and be wise.

01:00:39.000 --> 01:00:44.440
So it's like to the lazy person, he says, I have homework for you.

01:00:44.440 --> 01:00:48.520
Go outside and look how the ant operates.

01:00:48.520 --> 01:00:52.440
Verse 7, which having no guide, overseer or ruler.

01:00:53.000 --> 01:00:59.200
Provided her meat in the summer and gathereth her food in the harvest. What is he saying?

01:00:59.200 --> 01:01:03.740
He's saying you know if you go to the ant you'll realize that the ant is a very diligent insect

01:01:04.720 --> 01:01:08.520
Meaning that right now in the summer. It's working

01:01:09.040 --> 01:01:14.880
It's saving up food. It's providing food because he knows that the harvest is coming

01:01:14.880 --> 01:01:18.280
He says the first time how long will thou sleep? Oh sluggard?

01:01:19.400 --> 01:01:25.600
When thou will arise out of thy sleep, yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep,

01:01:25.600 --> 01:01:30.800
so shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man."

01:01:30.800 --> 01:01:35.900
So you know, animals can provide a lot of wisdom. It can teach you how not to be a lazy bum.

01:01:37.400 --> 01:01:44.040
You know, it can teach a person who lacks character and doesn't want to get a job and just sleeps around

01:01:44.040 --> 01:01:48.840
and eats chips off his stomach and just plays video games and doom scrolls all day.

01:01:49.480 --> 01:01:52.280
God says, man, the ant is more diligent than you are.

01:01:53.000 --> 01:01:58.040
The ant will accomplish more in its tiny life cycle than most people today.

01:01:58.200 --> 01:02:04.820
So he says, hey, you need to go to the end and actually observe and realize, hey, I'm a lazy bum. I'm a sluggard

01:02:04.820 --> 01:02:09.500
I'm a sloth a person then I need to be diligent. I need to work

01:02:09.500 --> 01:02:14.380
I need a plan and not sleep in all the time. It says a little my way sleep is good

01:02:14.940 --> 01:02:18.140
the Bible tells us that he giveth his beloved sleep, right and

01:02:18.940 --> 01:02:22.200
God provides sleep for us. He wants us to get the rest that we need

01:02:22.900 --> 01:02:25.740
What this is talking about is someone who's a slugger

01:02:25.740 --> 01:02:28.900
and who just constantly sleeps in.

01:02:28.900 --> 01:02:33.300
It's sleeping until afternoon, even though he

01:02:33.300 --> 01:02:35.700
doesn't have a job.

01:02:35.700 --> 01:02:38.420
And then he struggles to get to church on Sunday.

01:02:38.420 --> 01:02:39.940
Or he's just playing video games.

01:02:39.940 --> 01:02:40.740
He's just living off.

01:02:40.740 --> 01:02:42.700
He's 30 years old, living with his parents.

01:02:43.500 --> 01:02:47.120
not having a job or whatever, this is a sluggardly person

01:02:47.120 --> 01:02:51.620
and God says, it sounds like you need to take lessons from the creatures of this world

01:02:51.620 --> 01:02:54.880
in order to teach you some character and diligence

01:02:54.880 --> 01:02:59.260
okay, so animals are meant to illustrate spiritual truths, go to 1 Corinthians chapter 9

01:02:59.260 --> 01:03:01.900
1 Corinthians chapter 9

01:03:02.400 --> 01:03:07.840
I'm gonna stop right there actually I'm gonna stop right there. So what's the lesson from this morning sermon?

01:03:07.840 --> 01:03:12.160
Here's the lesson is that take care of animals appreciate animals

01:03:12.760 --> 01:03:19.580
But never hold them as being far more important in value than humanity, okay?

01:03:20.020 --> 01:03:21.460
You know

01:03:21.460 --> 01:03:24.000
I'm not saying be cold-hearted if your dog dies

01:03:24.840 --> 01:03:25.700
Okay

01:03:26.000 --> 01:03:33.000
But I'm also not saying that you should be shedding a tear if that animal died instead of a person though.

01:03:34.000 --> 01:03:42.000
Okay. It's just like, well, you know, I just think that, you know, I remember years ago, I think it was like 2020 during the whole COVID thing.

01:03:42.000 --> 01:03:47.000
There's so much chaos that a person in New York had stolen.

01:03:47.900 --> 01:03:50.820
a police horse, right?

01:03:50.820 --> 01:03:52.060
Because they have horses out there.

01:03:52.060 --> 01:03:53.300
I guess they don't have cars.

01:03:53.300 --> 01:03:53.980
I don't know.

01:03:53.980 --> 01:03:55.300
They have horses.

01:03:55.300 --> 01:03:57.340
And he had stolen the police horse,

01:03:57.340 --> 01:03:58.740
and he was filming himself.

01:03:58.740 --> 01:04:01.100
And then someone had made a comment to me, like, oh, man,

01:04:01.100 --> 01:04:03.700
that guy should be put to death.

01:04:03.700 --> 01:04:05.660
And I was like, why?

01:04:05.660 --> 01:04:08.980
And they're like, because that police horse is basically

01:04:08.980 --> 01:04:11.100
like a police officer.

01:04:11.100 --> 01:04:12.860
And I'm like, no, that's a horse.

01:04:16.000 --> 01:04:18.000
That's glue okay

01:04:19.200 --> 01:04:20.540
Okay

01:04:20.540 --> 01:04:26.520
That's a horse and it's just like yeah, but it's not right to do. Yeah, I agree. You know being a thief is not right

01:04:27.740 --> 01:04:32.420
Okay, but the Bible never prescribed the death penalty for stealing unless you're stealing a man

01:04:33.580 --> 01:04:40.360
Unless you're kidnapping someone you know that doesn't prescribe the death penalty. It just it just prescribes. You know restitution

01:04:41.500 --> 01:04:44.500
But this is the mentality of being, and this came from a Christian.

01:04:44.500 --> 01:04:46.500
They're just like, oh, that person should be put to death.

01:04:46.500 --> 01:04:50.500
It's just like, are you worshipping the creature more than the creator or something like that?

01:04:50.500 --> 01:04:55.500
How are you going to say that this person's life is less valuable than a horse?

01:04:55.500 --> 01:04:57.500
It's absolutely nonsensical.

01:04:57.500 --> 01:05:03.500
And at the end of the day, we have to understand that we can't allow ourselves to become so enamored with the creation

01:05:03.500 --> 01:05:08.500
that we begin to violate biblical principles of human life.

01:05:09.300 --> 01:05:12.180
And so very important, let's pray. Father, we thank you so much for your word.

01:05:12.180 --> 01:05:17.700
And thank you for the creation, Lord. Thank you for animals. We're thankful for their existence

01:05:17.700 --> 01:05:21.860
because it provides not just educational knowledge that we can learn, but just

01:05:22.740 --> 01:05:27.620
we can be entertained by them. We can glorify you on their behalf, on their behalf. And also

01:05:27.620 --> 01:05:29.000
they are food for us.

01:05:29.100 --> 01:05:34.300
Lord we're thankful that you've provided for us whether it's meat, it's chicken, it's the eggs,

01:05:34.300 --> 01:05:39.180
it's all types of sustenance that animals can provide today and I pray that you give us a proper

01:05:39.180 --> 01:05:44.460
biblical perspective of how animals should operate in our personal lives. Help us never

01:05:44.460 --> 01:05:50.220
to esteem an animal above the life of a human being and I pray that you bless us as we go on

01:05:50.220 --> 01:05:52.860
our way. We love you, we thank you, pray these things in Jesus name, amen.
