Well how about we just go ahead and stick to the Bible first 09:56.080 --> 09:59.640 and then demonstrate from the Word of God that the earth is not flat. 09:59.640 --> 09:59.920 Okay. 10:00.500 --> 10:03.220 Now, why is it important to preach on this subject? 10:03.220 --> 10:08.180 Well, because of the fact that flat earthers will assert that the Bible teaches that the 10:08.180 --> 10:12.220 earth is flat, at which point it's no longer just a stupid idea. 10:12.220 --> 10:17.620 It actually becomes heretical, okay, because it seeks to use the Bible to substantiate 10:17.620 --> 10:20.700 its absurd claims, all right? 10:20.700 --> 10:22.940 So this is why it merits a sermon. 10:22.940 --> 10:26.940 In general, in my experience, flat earthers do not have a bias for truth. 10:27.800 --> 10:33.160 You know, Flat Earth is leaned towards having an allegiance towards a certain conspiracy, 10:33.160 --> 10:35.520 despite the evidence that points to the contrary. 10:35.520 --> 10:36.520 And you know what? 10:36.520 --> 10:38.960 That is not a virtue of honor. 10:38.960 --> 10:42.000 That is not something that is honorable in the eyes of God. 10:42.000 --> 10:46.080 We should seek to only accept things, prove all things, hold fast that which is good, 10:46.080 --> 10:51.440 and completely reject fables and profane conspiracies that don't have any substance in truth. 10:52.000 --> 10:56.960 Now look folks, undeniably there are conspiracies out there that are legitimate, okay? 10:56.960 --> 11:02.400 So don't think, oh man, he believes that the earth is round, that must mean that he believes 11:02.400 --> 11:04.320 that the Jews are God's chosen people. 11:04.320 --> 11:09.460 Well, you know, if you've known me long enough, you know that I don't believe that. 11:09.460 --> 11:13.920 And I do believe that the Jews are largely responsible for a lot of evils in this world. 11:13.920 --> 11:15.720 But let me explain to you why I believe that. 11:15.720 --> 11:17.040 Because it can be proven! 11:18.100 --> 11:20.940 It's not something I just believe just because a bunch of people believe it. 11:20.940 --> 11:23.900 I don't believe it just because it's really popular right now on the internet. 11:23.900 --> 11:27.660 In fact, I believed this before it was popular on the internet. 11:27.660 --> 11:33.380 You know, I'll give you some other conspiracies that are not necessarily foundational in the Word of God, 11:33.380 --> 11:34.700 but I believe to be true. 11:34.700 --> 11:36.420 How about 9-11, right? 11:36.700 --> 11:41.780 Now look folks, there's people even in our church that don't believe in, you know, or 11:41.780 --> 11:44.780 that believe the official story of 9-11, believe it or not. 11:44.780 --> 11:46.940 You know, and you're like, oh man, how can people believe? 11:46.940 --> 11:51.140 Yeah, but at the end of the day, because it's not a biblical concept, it's not a biblical 11:51.140 --> 11:53.340 subject, who cares if they do, right? 11:53.340 --> 11:56.740 If people believe the official story and you don't, it doesn't really matter because at 11:56.740 --> 12:01.940 the end of the day, in the house of God, we are to believe what the Bible actually states. 12:01.940 --> 12:04.700 So outside of that, people are welcome to have whatever. 12:04.700 --> 12:08.700 they have or want about whatever is going on in the world. 12:08.700 --> 12:09.700 You know, here's another thing. 12:09.700 --> 12:10.700 How about vaccines? 12:10.700 --> 12:12.700 You know, I'm against vaccines wholeheartedly. 12:12.700 --> 12:13.700 Okay. 12:14.500 --> 12:20.100 And I've preached about vaccines. I've given, you know, I've extrapolated principles from the Bible 12:20.100 --> 12:23.620 of why it's important not to take vaccines. But there's no verse in the Bible that says, 12:23.620 --> 12:27.860 thou shall not take vaccines. Okay. We can extrapolate principles from the Bible to 12:27.860 --> 12:32.420 substantiate that. I don't get vaccinated. I don't vaccinate my kids and I don't promote 12:32.420 --> 12:35.860 vaccination for anybody. But you know, if someone does that in our church, I'm not going to say 12:35.860 --> 12:38.820 they're just Godless people who don't know the Bible because at the end of the day, 12:38.820 --> 12:40.580 it's not an explicit scripture in the Bible. 12:42.300 --> 12:44.900 Oh, you need to watch this one guy though. 12:44.900 --> 12:47.900 No, I need to keep my eyes on the Bible is what I need to do. 12:47.900 --> 12:50.400 Because then people start becoming Pharisees 12:50.400 --> 12:53.700 and start teaching for doctrine the commandments of men. 12:54.200 --> 12:57.600 Which is exactly what we want to avoid doing this morning. 12:57.600 --> 13:01.400 So obviously there's, you know, conspiracies out there that are legitimate. 13:01.400 --> 13:04.500 And there's certain conspiracies that aren't, but who cares if they believe it, 13:04.500 --> 13:07.100 if it's not something explicitly mentioned in the Bible. 13:07.100 --> 13:09.500 Here's one, the moon landing, right?
