What is one that is a scoffer? Being a scoffer kind of, 18:41.100 --> 18:45.660 it sounds like the word itself, just like what are you talking about? Someone that would just 18:45.660 --> 18:51.900 like discount what's being said, make light of, make fun of something that's being said. And so people who deny this, it's not that they're enlightened, they're walking after their intellectual mind and their more educated mind. 20:52.600 --> 20:55.400 No, they're walking after their own lusts, the Bible says. 20:55.400 --> 21:04.100 They are scoffers. And today we're living in those days of scoffing, where we see atheists and agnostics making fun of the Bible. 21:04.100 --> 21:11.800 But you know what? I'm starting to see a growing sentiment among those who claim to be Christians, where even they will deny... 21:11.800 --> 21:13.300 the Second Coming of Christ. 21:14.000 --> 21:17.840 Has anyone seen this? Has anyone seen this attitude? And of course, they're not real Christians, 21:17.840 --> 21:22.080 because anyone who denies the second coming of Christ is just not saved. Period. 21:22.080 --> 21:27.360 You can't just deny clear scripture and be saved. But you know, I've seen guests like on the Tucker 21:27.360 --> 21:33.040 Carlson show, where they try to say like, oh, you know, the idea of the second coming of Christ, 21:33.040 --> 21:39.280 that's dispensationalism. That's the Schofield reference Bible. That's a conspiracy that was 21:39.280 --> 21:41.040 added by the Jews. 21:41.040 --> 21:42.000 No, the Bible doesn't teach. 21:42.000 --> 21:46.320 that. Let me tell you something, the Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is coming again. 21:46.320 --> 21:48.320 Right. Let's keep reading. Look at verse number eight. 21:49.120 --> 21:55.280 But beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years 21:55.280 --> 22:00.960 in a thousand years as one day. So we may look at it and say, man, it's been a long time 22:00.960 --> 22:05.680 since the Lord Jesus Christ has been on this earth, but to God, it has not been a long time. 22:06.100 --> 22:09.300 To God, a thousand years is just like one day. 22:09.300 --> 22:11.460 And one day is like a thousand years. 22:11.460 --> 22:12.740 Well, what's been holding him up? 22:12.740 --> 22:14.980 Why is it that Jesus has not returned? 22:14.980 --> 22:16.420 He says in verse 9, 22:16.800 --> 22:20.720 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, 22:20.720 --> 22:23.340 as some men count slackness. 22:23.340 --> 22:26.180 Notice, but is long suffering to us, word, 22:26.180 --> 22:28.920 not willing that any should perish, 22:28.920 --> 22:32.280 but that all should come to repentance. 22:32.280 --> 22:34.400 Why is it that God has not returned? 22:34.400 --> 22:36.720 Why is Jesus Christ not yet returned? 22:36.720 --> 22:38.620 Is because he's long suffering. 22:38.900 --> 22:44.340 because he's merciful, because he wants to see as many people as possible get saved. 22:44.340 --> 22:49.860 He wants to see the work of the gospel do its thing in this world for as long as possible 22:49.860 --> 22:54.900 so that as many people as possible can get saved. That's why he has not returned yet. 22:54.900 --> 23:00.260 It's his long suffering. It's his mercy. And instead of people recognizing it's God's mercy, 23:00.260 --> 23:02.660 Instead, they use that opportunity to mock. 23:03.000 --> 23:06.520 and scoff. And let me tell you, these people are not going to be laughing for long. They're not 23:06.520 --> 23:12.200 going to be scoffing for long because look at verse number 10. It says, but the day of the Lord 23:12.200 --> 23:14.040 will come as a thief in the night. 23:14.300 --> 23:17.800 in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, 23:17.800 --> 23:21.000 and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, 23:21.000 --> 23:26.100 the earth also, and the works that are therein, shall be burned up." 23:26.100 --> 23:28.900 And yes, let me tell you, it has been 2,000 years, 23:28.900 --> 23:31.400 and yes, God is being long-suffering, 23:31.400 --> 23:35.100 yes, Christ is withholding so that people can get saved, 23:35.100 --> 23:39.200 but make no mistake, Jesus Christ is coming again. 23:39.400 --> 23:43.560 And that's the title of my sermon tonight is Jesus is coming again. 23:43.560 --> 23:48.760 I want to give you tonight four characteristics of the second coming of Jesus Christ. 23:48.760 --> 23:50.520 Go if you would to Acts chapter number one. 23:51.480 --> 23:57.080 Number one, I want to say this. Jesus's return will be bodily and visible. 23:58.040 --> 24:02.920 Bodily and visible. It's not someone coming in Jesus instead. 24:03.400 --> 24:05.700 It's not an angel of the Lord. 24:05.700 --> 24:07.240 It's not an apparition. 24:07.240 --> 24:10.080 It's the same man who was nailed to the cross. 24:10.080 --> 24:11.440 It's the same man who was buried, 24:11.440 --> 24:13.580 and three days later, rose again. 24:13.580 --> 24:16.480 Jesus Christ Himself is coming again. 24:16.480 --> 24:19.320 And it will not be a secret rapture, okay? 24:19.320 --> 24:21.780 For some reason, one of the most prevalent beliefs, 24:21.780 --> 24:24.320 and this is not found anywhere in Scripture, 24:24.320 --> 24:27.120 but for some reason, this is one of the most prevalent beliefs 24:27.120 --> 24:28.800 about the second coming of Christ, 24:28.800 --> 24:31.200 is that it will be a secret rapture. 24:31.500 --> 24:37.660 And there have been really famous movies called Left Behind that depict this fiction 24:37.660 --> 24:42.020 version of the second coming of Christ where people are just going around their day-to-day 24:42.020 --> 24:44.220 life and they're just like, where did mom go? 24:44.600 --> 24:49.320 Where did dad go? Where did all these people go? Why are airplanes crashing into the ground? 24:49.320 --> 24:54.280 Why are cars crashing and everything like that? Because in this person's mind who made the film, 24:54.280 --> 24:58.840 it's just the secret rapture where everyone just disappears. Okay, that is not how the Bible 24:58.840 --> 25:04.440 describes the second coming of Jesus Christ. The Bible teaches it will be bodily and visible. That's 25:57.740 --> 26:00.180 why he's withholding a second coming anyways 26:00.180 --> 26:02.900 is that people can get saved. And so he's like, hey, just... 26:02.900 --> 26:07.300 focus on preaching the gospel. But notice it says in verse 9, 26:07.300 --> 26:10.740 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, 26:10.740 --> 26:14.500 here's the ascension of Jesus Christ, he was taken up, and a 26:14.500 --> 26:18.200 cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked 26:18.200 --> 26:22.500 steadfastly towards heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood 26:22.500 --> 26:23.620 by them in white apparel. 26:23.900 --> 26:30.700 which also said, you men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? Notice as he have seen him go into heaven. 27:16.060 --> 27:22.540 Go to Matthew 24. As you're turning there, let me read for you Revelation 1 7, which Revelation 1 7 27:22.540 --> 27:30.940 is the theme verse of the book of Revelation. Behold, he cometh with clouds and every eye shall see him. 27:31.800 --> 27:38.180 And they also which pierced him, and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him, even 27:38.180 --> 27:39.180 so. 27:39.180 --> 27:40.180 Amen. 27:40.180 --> 27:42.620 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending. 27:42.620 --> 27:47.660 Say it the Lord, which is and which was and which is to come, the Almighty. 27:47.660 --> 27:51.940 You know, I like that when Jesus Christ returns, it's not going to be a secret. 27:51.940 --> 27:53.240 People aren't going to be wondering. 27:53.240 --> 27:55.460 The Bible says every eye will see him. 27:55.900 --> 28:00.300 And you know what that is? It's going to be a big finger in the chest of all the scoffers 28:00.300 --> 28:05.900 and all the mockers. And they're going to go from scoffing and mocking to hiding themselves, 28:05.900 --> 28:11.260 to wailing, to weeping out of fear of the Lamb of God. You know, I like that Jesus Christ is 28:11.260 --> 28:15.340 coming to put on a show. I'm excited for the show that He's going to come put on. 28:15.340 --> 28:17.900 Notice what the Bible says in Matthew 24 verse 21. 28:18.400 --> 28:25.280 for then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, 28:25.280 --> 28:31.440 no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved. 28:31.440 --> 28:36.080 But for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, 28:36.080 --> 28:38.080 Here is Christ or there. 28:38.080 --> 28:39.080 Believe it or not. 28:39.600 --> 28:44.560 So if there's like rumors, hey I think Jesus just came back, he's like in Nevada or something. 28:44.560 --> 28:49.120 Hey I think Jesus just dropped down in Zion, Missouri with the Mormons or you know something 28:49.120 --> 28:54.400 like that. Say hey don't believe it, don't listen to the rumors. If it's a rumor that Jesus has come 28:54.400 --> 29:00.080 back, he hasn't come back. You'll know, you'll know when he comes back. Notice, for there shall rise 29:00.080 --> 29:03.280 false Christs and false Apostles. 29:03.900 --> 29:09.880 I'm sorry, false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders in so much that if 29:09.880 --> 29:14.020 it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. 29:14.020 --> 29:18.700 So there are going to be false Christs claiming to be the Messiah, claiming to be the Christ, 29:18.700 --> 29:20.900 and you know, they're going to be very convincing. 29:20.900 --> 29:25.940 They're going to have lying power and signs and lying wonders and be able to do all these 29:25.940 --> 29:30.060 miracles that if it were possible, it would even deceive us. 29:30.400 --> 29:34.720 Now that goes to show that it's not possible because we have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. 29:34.720 --> 29:38.960 We're not going to be deceived by the Antichrist or by Antichrist, 29:38.960 --> 29:43.520 but it's going to be very convincing to the world, right? Because it could almost deceive us if it 29:43.520 --> 29:51.280 were possible. Notice verse 25, behold, I have told you before, wherefore if they shall say unto you, 29:51.280 --> 29:54.720 behold, he is in the desert, go not forth. 29:55.200 --> 30:01.820 Behold he is in the secret chambers right a secret rapture believe it not then notice the physical illustration 30:01.820 --> 30:07.660 He gives for as the lightning cometh out of the east and shineth even unto the west 30:08.160 --> 30:16.220 So shall also the coming of the Son of Man be for where soever the carcass is there will the Eagles be gathered together 30:17.000 --> 30:20.240 Right, so in relating his physical return, 30:20.240 --> 30:22.040 the second coming of Jesus Christ, 30:22.040 --> 30:24.540 he relates it to two physical things 30:24.540 --> 30:25.600 that we see in this world. 30:25.600 --> 30:26.940 One is lightning. 30:26.940 --> 30:28.580 Now here's the thing, if you're outside 30:28.580 --> 30:31.040 and you're in a thunderstorm and there's lightning, 30:31.040 --> 30:33.580 you don't have to be like, was that lightning? 30:33.580 --> 30:35.280 Is there lightning in the desert right now? 30:35.280 --> 30:37.720 Hey, I heard there's lightning in the secret chambers. 30:37.720 --> 30:39.300 When there's lightning, you know. 30:39.500 --> 30:43.420 You see it. You see it light up once one part of the heaven all the way to the other 30:43.780 --> 30:49.580 Everyone knows when there's lightning and you know what if you've grown up in the country or you spent some times hunting in the woods 30:49.580 --> 30:56.080 When you see a bunch of birds of prey circling around you know what that tells you there's a carcass there 30:56.340 --> 31:01.860 It's not like huh. I wonder if there's a carcass there. It's like no all these birds of prey are circling 31:01.860 --> 31:03.860 I know there's a body of some sort there 31:04.300 --> 31:06.200 just like the coming of Jesus Christ, 31:06.200 --> 31:08.380 you're gonna know when He comes. 31:08.380 --> 31:10.140 Every eye shall see Him. 31:10.140 --> 31:13.440 It's gonna be as obvious as birds circling a carcass. 31:13.440 --> 31:15.580 It's gonna be as obvious as lightning 31:15.580 --> 31:18.320 shining from one end of heaven to the other. 31:18.320 --> 31:20.420 It's not a secret rapture. 31:20.420 --> 31:24.260 It's a visible bodily return that He's going to have. 31:24.260 --> 31:26.560 And notice the show that He puts on, verse 29. 31:27.200 --> 31:29.560 immediately after the tribulation of those days, 31:29.560 --> 31:32.680 shall the sun be darkened. 31:32.680 --> 31:34.080 That's putting on a show. 31:34.080 --> 31:35.160 That's not a secret. 31:35.160 --> 31:38.440 I mean, we all in this world get really excited 31:38.440 --> 31:40.960 when there's an eclipse of some sort. 31:40.960 --> 31:43.680 And when there's an eclipse, I mean, we set our calendars, 31:43.680 --> 31:45.680 we go outside, we watch it. 31:45.680 --> 31:48.520 Okay, imagine the great tribulation just happened. 31:48.520 --> 31:49.840 There's World War III, 31:49.840 --> 31:51.720 there's all this death and destruction, 31:51.720 --> 31:54.080 and all of a sudden the sun is just darkened. 31:54.400 --> 31:57.000 And you know what? This is God supernaturally doing this. 31:57.000 --> 32:01.500 Who knows if this is even on the calendar of astronomers or anything like this? 32:01.500 --> 32:03.600 It could be just God decides to do it one day. 32:03.600 --> 32:07.800 All I know is it's going to get people's attention because the sun is going to be darkening. 32:07.800 --> 32:11.000 And notice, the moon shall not give her light. 32:11.000 --> 32:15.000 Both of the light sources in our world just going dark, that's going to wake people up. 32:15.000 --> 32:16.500 That's going to get people's attention. 32:16.500 --> 32:19.500 And notice, the stars shall fall from heaven. 32:20.000 --> 32:25.000 and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. 32:25.000 --> 32:26.460 What is this going to show? 32:26.460 --> 32:28.960 That God is putting on a show here. 32:28.960 --> 32:31.680 You know, this is always how God operates, right? 32:31.680 --> 32:33.480 You think about the great deliverance 32:33.480 --> 32:35.720 out of the wilderness of the children of Israel, 32:35.720 --> 32:38.280 which it's a picture of the rapture, right? 32:38.280 --> 32:39.680 Being delivered out of hardship, 32:39.680 --> 32:41.400 being delivered out of tribulation. 32:41.400 --> 32:43.360 You know, they're right up to the great sea, 32:43.360 --> 32:46.400 the Red Sea there, and God puts on a big show. 32:46.500 --> 32:51.300 He splits the Red Sea. He allows the Israelites to walk through on dry land. 32:51.300 --> 32:55.140 He brings the Egyptians in there and he pours out his wrath upon them. 32:55.140 --> 33:00.180 Right? God's people are spared and then all of a sudden the wicked, God's wrath is poured on them. 33:00.180 --> 33:04.100 Well, that's exactly like what happens at the rapture. Right? We go through the tribulation, 33:04.100 --> 33:08.740 but we're spared from God's wrath and God puts on this big show. Notice verse 30. 33:09.400 --> 33:13.040 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. 33:13.040 --> 33:14.840 So you see it, it's visible. 33:14.840 --> 33:17.800 And then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn. 33:17.800 --> 33:23.000 And they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven 33:23.000 --> 33:25.160 with power and great glory. 33:25.160 --> 33:28.120 Didn't we see at his ascension in Acts chapter 1, 33:28.120 --> 33:30.360 the angel said, hey, as he went into heaven, 33:30.360 --> 33:32.360 the same exact way he's going to come back. 33:32.360 --> 33:34.040 What? With clouds. 33:34.040 --> 33:35.560 What? Visibly. 33:35.560 --> 33:37.320 I mean, this idea of a secret rapture... 33:37.400 --> 33:41.400 is in direct opposition to what the Bible clearly says. 33:41.400 --> 33:44.000 The Bible's saying, hey, you will see the Son of Man 33:44.000 --> 33:47.400 coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 33:47.400 --> 33:50.500 And he shall send his angels with a great sound 33:50.500 --> 33:51.700 of a trumpet. 33:51.700 --> 33:54.100 All right, so maybe you're blind, well you'll still know. 33:54.100 --> 33:56.800 Because you'll hear this great sound of a trumpet. 33:57.000 --> 34:02.760 and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to the other. 34:02.760 --> 34:08.920 That is the rapture right there. Go if you would to 1st Thessalonians chapter number four. This idea, 34:08.920 --> 34:14.200 oh you know the rapture, the second coming of Christ, this is a conspiracy, this is 34:14.200 --> 34:19.560 Schofield reference, but no this is what the Bible teaches that Jesus is coming again 34:20.120 --> 34:23.880 and it's him coming bodily and it's a visible return. 34:24.800 --> 34:28.980 Verse number 13 of 1st Thessalonians 4, it says this, 34:28.980 --> 34:32.240 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, 34:32.240 --> 34:34.640 concerning them which are asleep. 34:34.800 --> 34:38.960 that ye sorrow not even as others which have no hope." 34:38.960 --> 34:42.440 So he's talking about people who have already died, 34:42.440 --> 34:45.140 who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. 34:45.140 --> 34:47.640 So these individuals are saved. 34:47.640 --> 34:49.580 Their souls are in heaven. 34:49.580 --> 34:53.540 And the Bible describes the saved as being asleep, right? 34:53.540 --> 34:54.780 It doesn't call them dead, 34:54.780 --> 34:55.820 because you know who the dead are? 34:55.820 --> 34:56.820 The ones in hell. 34:56.820 --> 34:58.020 Those are dead. 34:58.100 --> 35:03.620 Right? Death and hell is resurrected and stand at the great white throne or cast into lake of fire. 35:03.620 --> 35:08.100 That's the second death. The saved when we die, we're just sleeping because of the fact that we're 35:08.100 --> 35:12.180 going to get back up someday. Verse 14 says, for if we believe. 35:12.700 --> 35:20.700 that Jesus died and rose again. Even so, them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 35:20.700 --> 35:25.740 So Jesus is the first begotten of the dead. He rose again from the dead, 35:25.740 --> 35:31.100 but His resurrection is a pattern of what's going to happen to all believers someday. 35:31.300 --> 35:36.820 that like as Christ died was buried in rose again every single person who believes in Jesus 35:36.820 --> 35:42.500 who believes that he died in rose again will also rise again like him someday and this is why we 35:42.500 --> 35:47.300 don't have to sorrow like others which have no hope right when our loved ones die who have put 35:47.300 --> 35:52.420 their faith in Jesus Christ of course it's not that you have no sorrow whatsoever it still hurts 35:52.420 --> 35:56.500 it's still sad but we have the great solace of knowing we will see them again someday 35:56.900 --> 36:00.900 We have a great solace of knowing, hey, we're putting grandma in the ground right now, 36:00.900 --> 36:06.400 but grandma's gonna come up out of this grave someday, just as Jesus Christ rose again from the dead. 36:06.400 --> 36:07.400 Verse 15. 36:08.100 --> 36:13.380 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto 36:13.380 --> 36:18.180 the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep." 36:18.180 --> 36:23.740 So he's saying, hey, whatever generation is alive at the time that Jesus Christ comes 36:23.740 --> 36:30.420 back, we are not going to prevent or come before those who are already asleep in Jesus. 36:30.420 --> 36:31.780 He goes on further. 36:31.780 --> 36:33.540 16 for the Lord Himself. 36:33.900 --> 36:36.140 shall descend from heaven with a shout, 36:36.140 --> 36:38.180 with the voice of the archangel, 36:38.180 --> 36:40.540 and with the trump of God, notice, 36:40.540 --> 36:44.420 and the dead in Christ shall rise first. 36:44.900 --> 36:48.580 So this is what he means. He says we won't prevent them. We won't come before them. 36:48.580 --> 36:53.300 The generation that's alive at the rapture, we're going to see Jesus Christ coming in the clouds 36:53.300 --> 36:58.500 with power and great glory, but we're not going to ascend to be with the Lord yet. 36:58.500 --> 37:02.340 What's first going to happen is that the dead in Christ shall rise first. 37:03.140 --> 37:08.660 This is the moment where we receive our glorified bodies is at the rapture. 37:09.000 --> 37:14.040 right, because you literally have dead bodies that are going to be resurrected from the grave, 37:14.040 --> 37:19.480 but they're not going to stay in that state. They're going to be changed into a glorified body, 37:19.480 --> 37:24.200 into a perfect body. And these saints who have died before us are going to literally rise again 37:24.200 --> 37:28.200 from the dead, meet the Lord in the air. Then it says in verse 17. 37:28.500 --> 37:32.940 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together 37:33.360 --> 37:41.120 With them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so shall we ever be with the Lord 37:41.600 --> 37:50.780 Wherefore comfort one another with these words so whatever generation gets to live to this glorious day is not going to experience physical death 37:51.300 --> 37:55.460 just crazy to think about, right? Those who are dead, those who are asleep in Jesus, 37:55.460 --> 37:59.300 they've already experienced physical death, but they're going to rise again. They're going to 37:59.300 --> 38:05.300 get a glorified body for those that alive or alive and remain to that time after that resurrection. 38:05.300 --> 38:09.220 Then we go up and meet the Lord in the air and we don't even experience physical death. 38:09.220 --> 38:14.020 You know, whatever generation gets to experience this is going to be a blessed generation indeed 38:14.020 --> 38:18.740 to see the coming of the Lord. Pretty amazing. Go to first Corinthians chapter 15. 38:19.400 --> 38:25.640 Now I said this, I want to prove it, that at the moment of the rapture is when we get our glorified 38:25.640 --> 38:30.200 bodies. And again, this just makes sense because if dead people are being raised again from the dead, 38:30.200 --> 38:33.880 it doesn't make sense that their bodies are just going to stay in that ugly, decayed, 38:33.880 --> 38:37.800 skeleton state, right? They're going to get that glorified body. Verse 50. 38:38.600 --> 38:43.240 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, 38:43.240 --> 38:46.200 Neither doth corruption inherit 38:46.300 --> 38:51.420 in corruption. So in our human flesh, our human flesh is never going to enter heaven, 38:51.420 --> 38:57.020 right? Flesh and blood cannot enter the kingdom of God. Behold, I show you a mystery. We shall not 38:57.020 --> 39:03.980 all sleep, but we shall all be changed, right? So those who are dead in Christ, they're sleeping, 39:03.980 --> 39:07.500 they're going to get risen first, they're going to be changed in their glorified body. 39:07.500 --> 39:10.700 We are not going to sleep if we make it to that time. We're not going to die. 39:10.700 --> 39:13.980 But one thing we have in common with them is that both of our bodies are going to be changed. 39:14.300 --> 39:21.300 Right? We'll drop this robe of flesh as we like to sing that song and we're going to get a new glorified body in verse number 52. 39:21.300 --> 39:25.300 It says in a moment in the twinkling of an eye. 39:25.300 --> 39:36.200 So it just happens instantaneously at the last Trump for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed. 39:36.700 --> 39:43.020 for this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 39:43.020 --> 39:48.060 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put 39:48.060 --> 39:55.340 on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, death is swallowed up in 39:55.340 --> 39:58.340 Again, God likes to put on a show. 39:59.400 --> 40:05.200 And what a show this is gonna be when the dead are being resurrected out of their graves, 40:05.200 --> 40:10.160 go up into the sky, and were changed in the twinkling of an eye in a moment. 40:10.160 --> 40:11.760 There's gonna be no more scoffing! 40:12.100 --> 40:15.460 There's going to be no more scoffing, oh where's the promise of His coming? 40:15.460 --> 40:19.780 You're going to see all the saints resurrected and their bodies changed to a glorified body. 40:19.780 --> 40:23.620 Those of us that are saved, that are alive and remain, we're going to be caught up together with 40:23.620 --> 40:28.020 the Lord in the air and we too are going to be changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. 40:28.020 --> 40:32.740 Then we're not going to have this vile body that can sin, we're going to have an incorruptible body 40:32.740 --> 40:36.980 that could never die, that could never get cancer, that could never experience pain, 40:36.980 --> 40:39.940 that could never do anything wrong. That's going to be a glorious one. 40:40.100 --> 40:43.600 wonderful day. I'm looking forward to the return of Jesus 40:43.600 --> 40:48.500 Christ. Excited for it. Go to 1st Thessalonians 5. I'll read 40:48.500 --> 40:53.000 for you. 1st John 3 says this, beloved, now are we the sons 40:53.000 --> 40:57.800 of God and it does not yet appear what we shall be, but 40:57.800 --> 41:01.100 we know that when he shall appear, notice it's at that 41:01.100 --> 41:04.500 moment, when he shall appear, we shall be like him. 41:04.800 --> 41:07.360 for we shall see him as he is." 41:07.360 --> 41:10.540 So it makes it seem like, you know, when we see Jesus, 41:10.540 --> 41:12.000 that's when we're transformed. 41:12.000 --> 41:15.000 That's when we're changed to be like him. 41:15.000 --> 41:17.480 Not saying that we're all gonna be 30-year-old men, 41:17.480 --> 41:19.480 as, you know, Peter Ruckman once taught. 41:19.600 --> 41:26.520 He taught that at the rapture basically every saved person is going to be transformed into a 30 something year old man and look exactly like Jesus Christ 41:26.600 --> 41:30.880 Sorry ladies, you know, no, that's not what's happening when it says we're gonna be like him 41:30.880 --> 41:34.300 What that means that we're gonna be in a glorified state just like Jesus is 41:35.100 --> 41:38.540 You see the Mount of Transfiguration we talked about in the Gospel of Mark. 41:38.540 --> 41:40.220 You read Revelation chapter 1. 41:40.220 --> 41:42.380 You see Jesus is in a glorified state. 41:42.380 --> 41:44.860 We too are going to be in a glorified state. 41:44.860 --> 41:49.580 We're going to have a glorified body that can't die, that can't experience pain. 41:49.580 --> 41:51.420 And that happens, what does the Bible say? 41:51.420 --> 41:53.500 When He shall appear. 41:53.500 --> 41:57.340 So to deny the second coming of Christ, here's what you also are denying. 41:57.340 --> 41:59.500 You're also denying the new body. 42:00.000 --> 42:03.600 You can't just have one or the other. If you deny that Jesus Christ is coming back, 42:03.600 --> 42:08.720 you also have to deny 1 Corinthians 15. You have to deny 1 John chapter 3. It's just not biblical 42:08.720 --> 42:14.080 to say. He absolutely is coming again. Number two, another attribute of His coming is this. 42:14.080 --> 42:17.760 Jesus' return cannot happen at any moment. 42:18.600 --> 42:26.380 Jesus cannot return at any moment. This is another trope. Why? For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief 43:21.780 --> 43:27.900 in the night. This is also the phrase we saw in 2 Peter chapter number 3, this phrase thief 43:27.900 --> 43:33.580 in the night. But notice verse 3, it says for when who? They. Does that say you? Does 43:33.580 --> 43:38.260 that say the saved? It says for when they. So that's the unsaved. That's the world. 43:38.600 --> 43:42.360 for when they shall say, Peace and safety, 43:42.360 --> 43:46.120 then sudden destruction cometh upon them. 43:46.120 --> 43:49.080 Right? So we're watching, we're looking for the signs of the 44:51.400 --> 44:55.240 coming of Christ, which the Bible has a lot of those. We'll go through some of those. But the 44:55.240 --> 44:59.960 Bible says, hey, the day of Lord is not going to come as a thief in the night to the saved. 44:59.960 --> 45:06.040 It comes as a thief in the night to the unsaved. Why? They're scoffing, they're mocking, they're 45:06.040 --> 45:06.920 living their life. 45:07.000 --> 45:10.000 and all of a sudden the sun and moon are darkened. 45:10.000 --> 45:12.360 All of a sudden Jesus Christ comes in the clouds 45:12.360 --> 45:14.480 and then yeah, they absolutely is a thief 45:14.480 --> 45:15.600 in the night to them. 45:15.600 --> 45:17.760 Now look at 2 Thessalonians 2. 45:17.760 --> 45:19.800 Let's get some more teaching on this. 45:19.800 --> 45:22.020 2 Thessalonians 2, look at verse one. 45:22.900 --> 45:28.260 It says, Now we beseech you, brethren, we're begging you, by, what's the content that we're 45:28.260 --> 45:33.700 talking about, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and by our gathering together unto Him. 45:33.700 --> 45:38.260 What's the context of this chapter? The rapture, the day of the Lord, verse 2, 45:38.260 --> 45:42.660 that ye be not soon shaken in mind or be troubled, neither by spirit, 45:42.660 --> 45:47.780 nor by word, nor by letter as from us, that the day of Christ is at hand. 45:48.300 --> 45:50.300 He says, I don't want you to be worried. 45:50.300 --> 45:51.900 I don't want you to be anxious. 45:51.900 --> 45:54.600 I don't want you to be shaken thinking the day of Christ 45:54.600 --> 45:55.600 is at hand. 45:55.900 --> 46:00.060 Now look, I did not grow up believing in a pre-trib rapture. 46:00.060 --> 46:05.340 I did not grow up believing in the imminent return of Christ, that Christ can return at any moment. 46:05.340 --> 46:11.020 So I have not personally experienced this angst or fear like, oh man, Christ can come at any moment. 46:11.020 --> 46:13.980 But for example, Pastor Shelley, he grew up believing this, 46:13.980 --> 46:18.140 and he talks about how he would pray constantly like, God, please just let me get married. 46:18.140 --> 46:23.020 Like, please just hold your return back until I could get married and have a family. 46:23.020 --> 46:23.900 He kind of had 46:23.900 --> 46:28.840 this mentality because of the false teaching that was out there saying he could come today. 46:28.840 --> 46:30.660 Did anyone grow up believing this that felt that way? 46:30.660 --> 46:32.780 Okay, there were some people that grew up feeling that way. 46:32.780 --> 46:33.780 And here's what he's saying. 46:33.780 --> 46:36.220 He's saying, don't feel that way. 46:36.220 --> 46:37.940 Don't be soon shaken in mind. 46:37.940 --> 46:41.020 Don't be troubled, neither by spirit nor by word. 46:41.020 --> 46:42.780 Notice this, nor by letter as from us. 46:43.400 --> 46:47.960 as that the day of Christ is at hand. There's a lot of people that want to stoke fear. 47:10.700 --> 47:14.440 And manipulate you by saying hey Jesus Christ is coming today 47:14.440 --> 47:18.700 I mean you might as well just rack up the credit card donating to our church because you're not gonna have to pay it 47:18.700 --> 47:23.980 Because he's coming back for the end of this sermon right you say hey, don't let anyone deceive you don't let anyone trick you 47:24.800 --> 47:27.520 Why for that day shall not come? 47:28.220 --> 47:30.940 Except there come a falling away first 47:31.600 --> 47:35.380 What is this? He's in the political shadows. 48:33.660 --> 48:38.700 He's rising to power, but we don't really know who he is. No, no, no. Before the day of Christ comes, 48:38.700 --> 48:45.260 the man of sin has to be revealed, made plain, made known to everyone. 48:45.260 --> 48:49.820 When is the antichrist revealed? It's at the abomination of desolation. 48:50.500 --> 48:57.380 When the Antichrist stands in the house of God, in the temple of God, and declares himself 48:57.380 --> 49:01.780 to be God, that is when you know this is the Antichrist. 49:01.780 --> 49:03.380 And I believe it will be on Mount Moriah. 49:03.900 --> 49:07.900 I believe it'll be where the dome of the rock is right now, that someday that'll probably be 49:07.900 --> 49:12.540 destroyed in World War III, that the Antichrist will put his false religion temple right there 49:12.540 --> 49:16.620 on Mount Moriah, and that someday he'll put that abomination of desolation there. 49:16.620 --> 49:21.500 He'll cause all that don't take a mark in their right hand or in their forehead to be unable to 49:21.500 --> 49:26.860 buy or sell. And in order to take that mark, the Bible says you must worship the beast or worship 49:26.860 --> 49:31.580 his image. You're not going to accidentally take the mark of the beast. The COVID vaccine is not the 49:31.580 --> 49:31.900 the market. 49:31.900 --> 49:37.360 of the beast, okay? To take the mark of the beast, you must worship the antichrist. The 49:37.360 --> 49:42.080 mark of the beast doesn't exist right now. It's literally impossible to take it right 49:42.080 --> 49:48.100 now, but it will at this time. And so can Christ come today? No. Why? Well, because 49:48.100 --> 49:51.700 I don't believe the great falling away has happened yet. That seems to be a little more 49:51.700 --> 49:56.040 cryptic where we could debate, like, when could that be? But one thing is very obvious. 49:56.040 --> 49:57.640 Is Madison being revealed? 49:57.800 --> 50:01.800 There is a zero percent chance that the man of sin has been revealed. 50:01.800 --> 50:03.300 Zero percent chance. 50:03.300 --> 50:06.300 So can Christ come today? 51:00.700 --> 51:02.900 And now ye know what withholdeth. 51:03.100 --> 51:06.000 that he might be revealed in his time. 51:06.000 --> 51:09.000 For the mystery of adiquity doth already work, 51:09.000 --> 51:11.300 only he who now letteth will let, 51:11.300 --> 51:13.540 until he be taken out of the way. 51:13.540 --> 51:17.540 And then shall that wicked be, there it is, revealed, 51:17.540 --> 51:20.820 whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, 51:20.820 --> 51:25.380 and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming. 51:25.380 --> 51:26.860 Of course, the battle of Armageddon 51:26.860 --> 51:29.760 is when Jesus Christ will destroy the wicked one. 51:30.400 --> 51:35.360 even him who's coming is after the working and sorry the working of satan with all power and law 51:35.360 --> 51:40.960 and signs and lying wonders go to revelation chapter number four now we've gone through 51:41.520 --> 51:46.640 a lot of bibles so far this evening and you know what you're going to find among churches that tell 51:46.640 --> 51:49.400 you that christ can come back at any moment 51:49.600 --> 51:52.200 and that tell you that it's a secret rapture, 51:52.200 --> 51:54.700 and that tell you that, oh, it's the imminent return of Christ, 51:54.700 --> 51:57.800 you know what you're going to find is that they're not going to go to Bible verses to prove it. 51:57.800 --> 52:01.400 Because there are no Bible verses that prove it. 52:01.400 --> 52:04.300 And when people want to talk about the pre-trib rapture, 52:04.300 --> 52:08.300 there are no Bible verses that teach the pre-trib rapture. 52:08.300 --> 52:10.500 It is the tradition of men 52:10.500 --> 52:13.600 that the old IFB has stubbornly held onto 52:13.600 --> 52:16.800 in exact opposition to what the Bible teaches. 52:17.100 --> 52:21.100 And look, hey brother, I'm all for the old time religion, 52:21.100 --> 52:22.820 what the Bible says. 52:22.820 --> 52:26.500 Not your man-made false doctrine of the pre-trip rapture. 52:26.500 --> 52:29.060 You want to act like you're so much better than the new IFB. 52:29.060 --> 52:31.500 Oh, we're sticking to the old time religion, the pre-trip. 52:31.500 --> 52:33.100 That's not the old time religion. 52:33.100 --> 52:35.900 Old time religion is what the word of God says. 52:35.900 --> 52:38.100 What the apostle Paul wrote under the inspiration 52:38.100 --> 52:41.580 of the Holy Spirit, which is what we've been looking at tonight. 52:41.580 --> 52:42.860 Now, if they go to a verse, 52:42.860 --> 52:44.860 they'll take you right here to Revelation 4.1. 52:45.100 --> 52:49.540 And they'll try to say that this is the preacher of rapture. 52:49.540 --> 52:54.560 Revelation 4.1, after this I looked and behold a door was opened in heaven and the first 52:54.560 --> 53:01.200 voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me which said, come up hither 53:01.200 --> 53:05.140 and I will show thee things which must be hereafter. 53:05.140 --> 53:08.980 And immediately I was in the spirit and behold a throne was set in heaven and one sat on 53:08.980 --> 53:09.980 the throne. 53:09.980 --> 53:11.600 There's a couple problems with this. 53:11.700 --> 53:15.120 Number one, this is one man, John, 53:15.120 --> 53:18.460 who's receiving revelatory visions. 53:18.460 --> 53:20.360 He's penning scriptures under the inspiration 53:20.360 --> 53:21.280 of the Holy Spirit. 53:21.280 --> 53:23.760 He's receiving these revelatory visions 53:23.760 --> 53:25.760 of the events of the book of Revelation. 53:25.760 --> 53:28.340 One person is told, come up hither. 53:28.340 --> 53:30.280 And notice, it doesn't say that there was a trumpet 53:30.280 --> 53:31.160 that was sounded. 53:31.160 --> 53:35.620 It's an angel speaking and his voice was as it were 53:35.620 --> 53:38.120 the voice of a trumpet, meaning it was a loud voice. 53:38.120 --> 53:39.700 It's not that there was an actual trumpet. 53:39.700 --> 53:43.540 sounded. Whereas when it comes to the rapture over and over the Bible makes 53:43.540 --> 53:47.100 clear there's an actual trump of God that is sounded. So it's like this is 53:47.100 --> 53:48.300 extremely weak. 53:48.400 --> 53:51.600 How is it that you ignore immediately after the tribulation? 53:51.600 --> 53:56.700 How is it that you ignore, hey, you know, these things have to happen first before the coming of Christ? 53:56.700 --> 54:02.200 Then you go to a cryptic, out of context verse and say like, there you go, that's the rapture. 54:02.200 --> 54:07.700 And what you'll find is they're not going to go line by line throughout scripture explaining to you from the Bible, 54:07.700 --> 54:09.800 here's where the Bible teaches the pre-trib. 54:09.800 --> 54:10.900 You know what they're gonna say? 54:10.900 --> 54:16.300 They're gonna say, y'all can go through the tribulation if you want to, I'm on the first ride out of here, hoss. But as soon as the rapture happens, okay, God's people are removed. I believe it's the rise of the Antichrist, right? 01:02:04.900 --> 01:02:10.200 He's taking power here. Okay, nothing supernatural is happening 01:02:15.400 --> 01:02:18.840 This is just the Antichrist rising to power. And when he had opened the second seal, 01:02:22.440 --> 01:02:27.720 I heard the second beast say, come and see. And there went out another horse that was red. 01:02:27.720 --> 01:02:33.400 What's this horse represent? And power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the 01:02:33.400 --> 01:02:39.400 earth, that they should kill one another. And we were the victors, so we have the spoils of war in that sense. 01:04:01.000 --> 01:04:04.000 But Germany wasn't living so hot after World War II. 01:04:04.200 --> 01:04:06.900 Russia was never living hot. They're always messed up over there. 01:04:06.900 --> 01:04:09.900 But you know, a lot of the world was starving, had hyperinflation, 01:04:09.900 --> 01:04:15.900 and notice, during this time, a day's wage is going to get you a measure of wheat. 01:04:16.400 --> 01:04:19.000 It's like, can that even feed a family my size? 01:04:19.000 --> 01:04:23.800 A measure of wheat? He says, hey, verse 10, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 01:27:10.400 --> 01:27:16.400 It's like Jesus Christ died for us. You know what the reasonable response to that is? That we should live for him. 01:27:17.300 --> 01:27:24.280 Jesus died for us. He's coming again for us someday. We should just live for him right now.
