08:07.880 --> 08:14.800
364. Song 364, Standing on the Promises of God. Song 364, on the 1st.

08:16.400 --> 08:26.880
Standing on the promises of Christ my King, through eternal ages let his praises ring.

08:26.880 --> 08:37.600
Glory in the highest I will shout and sing. Standing on the promises of God.

08:37.600 --> 08:38.720
Stand.

08:43.700 --> 08:52.300
on the promises of God my Savior standing.

08:54.800 --> 09:00.800
I'm standing on the promises of God.

09:00.800 --> 09:06.300
Standing on the promises they cannot fail.

09:06.300 --> 09:11.800
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail.

09:11.900 --> 09:22.540
By the living word of God I shall prevail, standing on the promises of God.

09:22.540 --> 09:33.500
Standing on the promises, standing on the promises, standing on the promises of God, my Savior.

09:33.500 --> 09:39.820
Standing on the promises, standing on the promises.

09:39.900 --> 09:45.900
I'm standing on the promises of God.

09:45.900 --> 09:51.400
Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord.

09:51.400 --> 09:56.900
Bound to Him eternally by love's strong cord.

09:56.900 --> 10:01.900
Overcoming daily with the Spirit's sword.

10:01.900 --> 10:06.900
Standing on the promises of God.

10:07.400 --> 10:18.160
Standing, standing, standing on the promises of God my Savior.

10:18.160 --> 10:23.560
Standing, standing.

10:24.500 --> 10:30.580
I'm standing on the promises of God.

10:30.580 --> 10:35.860
Standing on the promises I cannot fall.

10:35.860 --> 10:41.620
Listening every moment to the Spirit's call.

10:41.620 --> 10:46.740
As my Savior, as my all and all.

10:46.740 --> 10:51.940
Standing on the promises of God.

10:52.200 --> 11:03.000
Standing on the promises, standing on the promises, standing on the promises of God, my Savior.

11:03.000 --> 11:14.440
Standing on the promises, standing on the promises, I'm standing on the promises of God.

11:14.440 --> 11:18.040
All right, good singing. Brother Jericho, please open us up with a word of prayer.

11:28.200 --> 11:32.380
Amen. Alright, next song is going to be song number 379.

11:32.380 --> 11:37.700
Song 379, Bringing in the Sheev. Song 379 of your hymn books.

11:37.700 --> 11:39.700
On the first.

11:40.600 --> 11:51.140
Sewing in the morning, sewing seeds of kindness, sewing in the noontide and the dewy eve.

11:51.140 --> 12:07.240
Waiting for the harvest and the time of reaping, we shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves.

12:07.240 --> 12:08.540
We shall come...

12:08.600 --> 12:12.600
Come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

12:12.600 --> 12:15.600
Bringing in the sheaves.

12:15.600 --> 12:17.600
Bringing in the sheaves.

12:17.600 --> 12:23.500
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

12:23.500 --> 12:34.000
Sewing in the sunshine, sewing in the shadows, fearing neither clouds nor winter's chilling breeze.

12:34.000 --> 12:50.000
By and by the harvest and the labor ended, we shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves.

12:50.000 --> 12:51.500
We shall come-

12:51.500 --> 12:59.920
Rejoicing bringing in the sheaves bringing in the sheaves bringing in the sheaves

13:00.700 --> 13:02.700
We shall come rejoicing

13:03.860 --> 13:05.860
bringing in the sheaves

13:06.620 --> 13:13.620
Going forth with weeping sewing for the master though the law sustained

13:14.860 --> 13:18.880
Spirit often grieves when our weeping's over

13:19.500 --> 13:27.500
He will bid us welcome. We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the she's.

13:27.500 --> 13:32.500
Bringing in the she's. Bringing in the she's.

13:32.500 --> 13:38.500
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the she's.

13:38.600 --> 13:43.600
Bringing in the sheaves, bringing in the sheaves.

13:43.600 --> 13:48.600
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

13:48.600 --> 13:51.600
All right, great singing. Now we're going to have some announcements.

13:53.600 --> 13:56.600
I mean, a funny story about the song, bringing the sheaves.

13:56.600 --> 14:01.600
My daughter was singing it at home and she's singing, bringing the sheets as in the laundry, you know.

14:02.800 --> 14:05.600
or bring the sheep, so it's kind of interesting.

14:05.600 --> 14:08.380
Anyway, welcome back to foundation Baptist Church

14:08.380 --> 14:09.840
Sunday afternoon service.

14:09.840 --> 14:11.400
Oh, there's one more funny story.

14:11.400 --> 14:13.600
She was practicing sewing at home,

14:13.600 --> 14:16.000
and then she's like, if you want to go to hell.

14:16.000 --> 14:16.840
Take the...

14:16.840 --> 14:19.100
Anyway.

14:21.100 --> 14:23.400
I can tell more, but the verse of the week,

14:23.400 --> 14:26.360
if you need a bulletin, please raise your hand,

14:26.360 --> 14:28.060
and Asher will bring one to you.

14:28.300 --> 14:31.500
By the way, I didn't say that when I go slowly, okay?

14:31.500 --> 14:34.200
Romans 13 verse seven says, that's the verse of the week,

14:34.200 --> 14:35.820
rendered therefore to all their dues,

14:35.820 --> 14:38.500
tribute to whom tribute is due, custom to whom custom,

14:38.500 --> 14:41.300
fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.

14:41.300 --> 14:42.660
That's a very practical verse.

14:42.660 --> 14:43.740
Let's look at the inside page.

14:43.740 --> 14:46.340

15:49.000 --> 15:52.380
And please stay faithful in your tithe and offerings.

15:52.380 --> 15:54.300

15:54.300 --> 15:58.300
we have Brother Matt and Miss Rachel's wedding anniversary

15:58.300 --> 15:59.500
on the 24th.

15:59.500 --> 16:00.980
How many years is it?

16:00.980 --> 16:02.620
15 years.

16:02.620 --> 16:06.380
Awesome, let's sing happy anniversary to them.

16:06.380 --> 16:07.500

16:07.500 --> 16:11.500

16:12.000 --> 16:16.840
Happy anniversary to you.

16:16.840 --> 16:22.660
God bless you and keep you.

16:22.660 --> 16:27.040
Happy anniversary to you.

16:27.040 --> 16:27.640
Congratulations.

16:27.640 --> 16:28.700
Thanks for watching!

16:32.300 --> 16:34.700
All right, let's sing our third song.

16:37.700 --> 16:40.780
Alright, the next song is gonna be song 389.

16:40.780 --> 16:42.940
Song 389, hear him books.

16:42.940 --> 16:44.300
Bring them in.

16:44.300 --> 16:46.940
Song 389.

16:46.940 --> 16:48.660
Bring them in, on the first.

16:49.500 --> 17:10.820
Harked is the shepherd voice I hear, out in the desert dark and drear, calling the sheep who've gone astray, far from the shepherd's fold away.

17:10.820 --> 17:17.420
Bring them in, bring them in, bring them in.

17:17.500 --> 17:29.380
in from the fields of sin bring them in bring them in bring the wandering ones

17:29.380 --> 17:39.980
to Jesus who'll go and help this shepherd kind help him the wandering

17:39.980 --> 17:45.500
ones to find who'll bring the lost one

17:45.500 --> 17:53.340
to the fold where they'll be sheltered from the cold.

17:53.340 --> 17:58.380
Bring them in, bring them in.

17:58.600 --> 18:03.060
Bring them in from the fields of sin

18:03.840 --> 18:05.840
Bring them in

18:06.520 --> 18:08.520
Bring them in

18:09.080 --> 18:12.120
Bring the wandering ones to Jesus

18:14.360 --> 18:16.360
Out in the desert

18:17.080 --> 18:19.080
Hear their cry

18:19.480 --> 18:21.480
out on the mountains

18:22.240 --> 18:24.240
wild and high

18:24.640 --> 18:26.600
Heart is the man

18:26.600 --> 18:35.240
Master speaks to thee, go find my sheep, where'er they be.

18:35.240 --> 18:45.160
Bring them in, bring them in, bring them in from the fields of sin.

18:45.600 --> 18:56.100
Bring them in, bring them in, bring the wandering ones to Jesus.

19:53.700 --> 19:59.700
Alright, we'll be in Acts chapter 2 this evening. Acts chapter 2. If anyone needs a Bible, raise your hand.

19:59.700 --> 20:01.700
Now she'll give one to you.

20:02.700 --> 20:04.700
Acts chapter 2.

20:04.700 --> 20:09.700
Follow on in your Bibles. The whole chapter is going to be read. Acts chapter 2.

20:10.700 --> 20:12.700
Acts chapter 2 of the Bible reads...

20:13.100 --> 20:18.900
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place,

20:18.900 --> 20:26.580
and suddenly there came a sound from heaven of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

20:26.580 --> 20:31.460
And there appeared unto them clove and tons like as fire, and it sat upon each of them.

20:31.460 --> 20:37.100
And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tons, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

20:37.400 --> 20:42.440
And they were dwelling at Jerusalem, Jews devout men out of every nation under heaven.

20:42.440 --> 20:47.080
Now when this was noise abroad, the multitude came together and were confounded, because

20:47.080 --> 20:52.200
that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marveled,

20:52.200 --> 20:58.200
saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galileans? And how here we every man

20:58.200 --> 21:03.640
in our own time wherein we were born, Parthians and Medes and Elamites in the Dwarves of Mesopotamia,

21:03.640 --> 21:05.400
and Judea and Cavadocia and Pond.

21:05.400 --> 21:11.820
Pontius in Asia, for again, Pamphylia in Egypt, and the parts of Libya about Cyrene and strangers

21:11.820 --> 21:17.500
of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak, and are tons, the wonderful

21:17.500 --> 21:19.020
works of God.

21:19.020 --> 21:24.380
And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, what meaneth this?

21:24.380 --> 21:26.980
Others mocking said, these men are full of new wine.

21:26.980 --> 21:31.980
But Peter standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of

21:31.980 --> 21:33.400
Judea and all you

21:33.400 --> 21:38.100
That dwell at Jerusalem be this known unto you and hearken to my words

21:38.560 --> 21:42.840
For these are not drunken as he supposed seen his but the third hour of the day

21:43.400 --> 21:50.600
But this is what that which was spoken by the prophet Joel and it shall come to pass in the last day save God

21:50.600 --> 21:56.940
I'll pour out my spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy your young men shall see

21:57.400 --> 22:00.100
Visions and your old man shall dream dreams

22:00.900 --> 22:06.900
And on my servants and on all my handmaidens I will pour out in those days on my spirit,

22:06.900 --> 22:08.580
and they shall prophesy.

22:08.580 --> 22:13.100
And I will show wonders in heaven above, and then signs in earth beneath, blood and fire

22:13.100 --> 22:14.460
and vapor of smoke.

22:14.460 --> 22:18.540
The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and noble

22:18.540 --> 22:19.540
day of the Lord come."

22:19.540 --> 22:19.900
Come on.

22:20.740 --> 22:19.900
Thanks for watching.

22:22.120 --> 22:19.900
See you next time.

22:20.100 --> 22:23.940
Then it shall come to pass that whoso shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

22:23.940 --> 22:28.420
Ye men of Israel, hear these words, Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God,

22:28.420 --> 22:33.780
among by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you,

22:33.780 --> 22:39.540
as ye yourselves also know, him being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God,

22:39.540 --> 22:42.900
ye have taken by wicked hands, have crucified and slain.

22:44.100 --> 22:50.500
whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that he should

22:50.500 --> 22:58.100
beholden of it. For David's speech concerning him, I foresaw the Lord's always before my face,

22:58.100 --> 23:02.100
for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved. Therefore did my heart rejoice,

23:02.100 --> 23:05.620
and my tongue was glad. Moreover, also my flesh shall rest in hope.

23:06.000 --> 23:10.240
Because thou will not leave my soul in hell, neither will thy suffer the Holinessy corruption,

23:10.240 --> 23:14.880
thou hast made known to me the ways of life, thou shalt make me full of joy, wife, and

23:14.880 --> 23:15.880
countenance.

23:15.880 --> 23:20.160
Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both

23:20.160 --> 23:22.960
dead and buried, and his supplicer is with us unto this day.

23:22.960 --> 23:26.880
Therefore, being a prophet and knowing that God has sworn with an oath to him,

23:27.100 --> 23:31.900
that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne.

23:31.900 --> 23:36.380
He, seeing this before, spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul is now left in hell,

23:36.380 --> 23:43.500
neither his flesh did see corruption. This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we are all witnesses.

23:43.500 --> 23:47.740
Therefore, being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father

23:47.740 --> 23:50.380
the promise of the Holy Ghost, he has shed forth

23:51.200 --> 23:56.140
This which he now see in here for David is not ascended into the heavens

23:56.200 --> 24:02.060
But he saith himself the Lord said into my word said thou my right hand until I make thy foes thy footstool

24:02.600 --> 24:09.880
Therefore what all the house of Israel know assuredly that God hath made that that same Jesus whom ye have crucified both

24:09.880 --> 24:11.300
Lord and Christ

24:11.600 --> 24:15.200
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart and said unto Peter, and to

24:15.200 --> 24:18.540
the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

24:18.540 --> 24:23.440
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of

24:23.440 --> 24:25.600
Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins.

24:25.600 --> 24:30.680
You shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, for the promises is unto you, and to your

24:30.680 --> 24:36.600
children, and to all that are far off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

24:36.600 --> 24:39.600
And with many other words, did he testify and exhort Sane Sane?

24:39.600 --> 24:43.600
yourselves from this untoward generation.

24:43.600 --> 24:46.800
Then they that gladly received His word were baptized, and it seemed that they were added

24:46.800 --> 24:50.720
unto Him about three thousand souls, and they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine

24:50.720 --> 24:55.600
and fellowship, and in breaking of bread and in prayers. And fear came upon every soul,

24:55.600 --> 24:59.840
and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. And all that believed were together

24:59.840 --> 25:04.720
and had all things common, and sold their possessions and goods, and parted to them all men,

25:04.720 --> 25:09.680
and every man had need. And they continued, and they continuing daily with one accord,

25:09.680 --> 25:11.520
in the temple and breaking bread.

25:11.600 --> 25:17.200
from the house to house did eat their meat with gladness and sing on the heart, praising God and

25:17.200 --> 25:23.600
having favor with all people and the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

25:23.600 --> 25:25.600
Brother Eliud, could you pray us to the service?

25:38.800 --> 25:40.720
Amen

25:40.720 --> 25:46.800
So the title of my sermon is just lessons from Barbados. So kind of just a brief overview of

25:47.680 --> 25:52.640
How the trip went before we get started, but I think there's around 72 people

25:53.480 --> 25:59.180
That ended up going and there was over a thousand salvations like cameras like close to a thousand fifty

25:59.180 --> 26:05.160
But some people stayed like a week later, so I'm sure they got people saved. I don't know exactly how many so

26:05.700 --> 26:11.760
Over a thousand people and my opinion out of other places I went like I thought so winning is pretty hard there

26:11.760 --> 26:15.420
So I was pretty surprised like I went in like thinking it was gonna be just like Jamaica

26:15.420 --> 26:19.400
And I was like this is what I'm gonna do and then like from day one. I was like okay

26:20.260 --> 26:22.100
expectation reset

26:22.100 --> 26:24.100
because it wasn't

26:24.460 --> 26:26.460
Like Jamaica at all

26:27.340 --> 26:30.320
Even though it's you know still both in the Caribbean so

26:31.000 --> 26:36.660
Kind of a reason for that is I don't think there was a lot of opportunities for like how many people went like whereas Jamaica

26:37.000 --> 26:39.000
You could kind of go anywhere

26:39.360 --> 26:45.040
In Montego Bay, and there would just be people walking around especially like lunchtime or after school

26:45.700 --> 26:48.700
Downtown Montego Bay, like me and my wife went there,

26:48.700 --> 26:51.700
and it was just like students everywhere.

26:51.700 --> 26:55.700
Everywhere you looked, it was just like groups of five, six students walking together,

26:55.700 --> 26:59.700
so you could just stop a group, and you know, five people would probably get saved,

26:59.700 --> 27:01.700
four people would get saved, and they would stay together.

27:01.700 --> 27:07.700
Whereas like in Barbados, it was more like there was just like one person, one or two people,

27:07.700 --> 27:11.400
and it was never like a large group, and it would just kind of like trickle.

27:11.600 --> 27:15.840
around, so you never really had the opportunity to get like a large group.

27:15.840 --> 27:20.480
And then if you did talk to like four people, like two of them would leave as you were talking.

27:20.480 --> 27:22.800
So it was like, Jamaica was different.

27:22.800 --> 27:27.080
You could start with two and end up with five or six, whereas here like a couple people

27:27.080 --> 27:28.080
would leave.

27:28.080 --> 27:31.800
So the people weren't as receptive as Jamaica.

27:31.800 --> 27:33.400
I kind of thought Jamaica, in my opinion.

27:33.900 --> 27:38.380
was on par with the Philippines. I know I've heard other people say they didn't like Jamaica as much,

27:38.380 --> 27:42.460
so I guess it could just be, you know, the luck that you have. But for me personally,

27:42.460 --> 27:47.180
I thought Jamaica was on par with the Philippines, especially with the students and just how much

27:47.180 --> 27:52.540
students there were. It was amazing. But there another reason is they have a lot of money. So

27:52.540 --> 27:56.780
like even if you go to the school early in the morning, whereas in Jamaica, they walk to school,

27:56.780 --> 28:01.020
here a lot of the parents drop them right off at the gate. Their parents have vehicles.

28:01.900 --> 28:05.900
And they also have buses, which I didn't see a bus in Jamaica, so the bus would just drop them off.

28:05.900 --> 28:08.900
Whereas, like, I'd never really seen a lot of people walk in.

28:08.900 --> 28:14.900
I got a few people say that were walking to school, but it would be very, like, you could go for 40 minutes before school started,

28:14.900 --> 28:18.900
and you might catch, like, five students walking to school. It wasn't like...

28:19.700 --> 28:22.100
Jamaica in that regard at all.

28:22.100 --> 28:27.900
So one person, we went to a mall and that was very difficult.

28:27.900 --> 28:30.300
Whereas here, like, you might not get as many people say,

28:30.300 --> 28:33.700
but people at least, like, be kind of nice and respectful to you

28:33.700 --> 28:36.800
and, you know, say they're not, even if they're not interested,

28:36.800 --> 28:39.500
they'll kind of say, like, hey, I'm not interested or I'm busy or whatever.

28:39.500 --> 28:40.300
Here, like...

28:40.300 --> 28:42.060
You could talk to me at the mall and be like,

28:42.060 --> 28:44.860
hey, we're handing out cards, got some YouTube videos on it,

28:44.860 --> 28:46.260
some Bible documentaries.

28:46.260 --> 28:47.540
Do you mind if I give you one?

28:47.540 --> 28:49.780
And they'll just act like you don't even exist

28:49.780 --> 28:51.220
and just walk by you.

28:51.220 --> 28:53.660
So it was very weird of how many people wouldn't even

28:53.660 --> 28:56.060
look at you and acknowledge you in the older crowd.

28:57.800 --> 28:59.000
They wouldn't even take an invite.

28:59.000 --> 29:04.080
So somebody that was at the mall, so they talked around 100 people they thought, and

29:04.080 --> 29:06.120
got three people to talk to them and got saved.

29:06.120 --> 29:09.980
So it was very low of trying to talk to people.

29:09.980 --> 29:12.320
But there's also large groups of people soul winning.

29:12.320 --> 29:18.160
So since there wasn't a lot of people around, it was a lot of downtime.

29:18.160 --> 29:22.200
Whereas Jamaica, there was just like, you can ask brother Brad, it was just like, go,

29:22.200 --> 29:24.800
go, go, and you were just done by the end.

29:24.800 --> 29:25.800
there was

29:25.800 --> 29:28.480
large amounts of time, you know, five, six minutes

29:28.480 --> 29:30.620
between talking to people because there just wasn't

29:30.620 --> 29:32.480
enough people to talk to.

29:32.480 --> 29:33.400
So it's kind of...

29:33.600 --> 29:36.600
an overview of kind of what I thought.

29:36.600 --> 29:40.600
And it has nothing in my notes, but since we already read the chapter and it's in here,

29:40.600 --> 29:43.600
there's a lot of people I never had it really in the U.S. much.

29:43.600 --> 29:47.600
I know some Baptists don't believe it, so I'm sure it is out there,

29:47.600 --> 29:51.600
but just soul winning with people I've never had too much opposition.

29:51.600 --> 29:54.600
But when I say, hey, Jesus went to hell, paid for our sins,

29:54.600 --> 29:58.300
in Barbados for some reason a lot of the students like...

29:58.400 --> 30:03.560
kind of rebutted that and tried to like go against it and say like I never heard that can you show me and you'd show

30:03.560 --> 30:05.560
Me they would have really believe it

30:05.800 --> 30:11.320
But you know in Acts 2 it says it twice right it says because thou would not leave my soul in hell and then in verse 31

30:11.320 --> 30:15.840
It says that his soul was not left in hell so obviously you know wouldn't make any sense

30:15.840 --> 30:21.320
I was like hey, I'm not gonna leave you in Indiana if you never went to Indiana right so you know

30:21.800 --> 30:26.800
That has nothing to do with my serum, but since it happened there a few times where people didn't believe it,

30:26.800 --> 30:31.800
I showed them and they still wouldn't really get it for some reason.

30:32.100 --> 30:39.100
Point number one for my sermon, the one thing I did like about Barbados is kind of just seeing how we need teamwork.

30:39.100 --> 30:43.600
So point number one is just we need teamwork, right? We can't do it alone and we need a team.

30:43.600 --> 30:47.600
Because obviously, like I said, it wasn't the greatest receptivity.

30:47.600 --> 30:52.600
Like I think overall for the trip between me and my wife, we had 35 people that got saved.

30:52.600 --> 30:59.100
Obviously we weren't there crazy long. The sole winning was pretty much like Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and then a half day Friday.

30:59.100 --> 31:00.100
The other half was...

31:00.100 --> 31:05.760
jet skis beach and then like a dinner with everybody and then Monday everybody

31:05.760 --> 31:10.480
pretty much got there like later in the evening. We ended up having to drive to

31:10.480 --> 31:15.560
Toronto to get like super cheap tickets like I paid like three hundred and some

31:15.560 --> 31:20.260
dollars for our tickets by driving to Toronto and it was direct whereas like

31:20.260 --> 31:23.000
from Cincinnati it would have been

31:23.100 --> 31:26.740
you know, like way more money and then also layovers.

31:26.740 --> 31:29.620
And then if you like Louisville, like Columbus,

31:29.620 --> 31:31.940
Indianapolis, like everywhere in the Midwest,

31:31.940 --> 31:34.340
like Detroit, the best is going to Toronto.

31:34.340 --> 31:35.500
So we kind of made two trips.

31:35.500 --> 31:38.220
We visited Niagara Falls and then Toronto

31:38.220 --> 31:40.180
and then flew out of there.

31:40.180 --> 31:42.020
So kind of if you're thinking about going on a mission trip,

31:42.020 --> 31:44.860
just kind of look around and you might be able to find

31:44.860 --> 31:47.740
like a flight that's way cheaper, half the price.

31:47.740 --> 31:50.420
And you know, it's a better option.

31:50.420 --> 31:51.100
So it's kind of something to think.

31:51.100 --> 31:56.320
about. But teamwork, the reason I think that is because obviously I said the

31:56.320 --> 32:01.700
soul winning was only really four days or three and a half days and there was a

32:01.700 --> 32:09.340
thousand salvations so if you took 72 talkers it would be 14 salvations per

32:09.340 --> 32:12.780
person which would be like three and a half people saved a day which obviously

32:12.780 --> 32:17.100
is very doable, very easy. If you divide it in half which obviously

32:17.200 --> 32:21.380
It wasn't really like a normal like you're partnered up and one person talking

32:21.380 --> 32:24.500
It's kind of like everybody's kind of talking everybody's going around talking with people

32:24.520 --> 32:28.820
so it was more so way more talkers, but even if you took the normal of

32:29.500 --> 32:35.040
One silent partner it would still be 28 salvations, which would be like seven people a day

32:35.040 --> 32:38.560
So obviously is very doable to reach a thousand salvations

32:38.560 --> 32:45.100
And you know for us as a church right like last year this year obviously we hover close to a thousand a little over but

32:45.200 --> 32:49.100
That's just four days, but because so many people went,

32:49.100 --> 32:50.420
it's like you really don't even have to hit

32:50.420 --> 32:51.860
like a crazy number.

32:51.860 --> 32:54.380
Whereas like in Jamaica, I think overall,

32:54.380 --> 32:55.820
it might have been the same or less,

32:55.820 --> 32:59.660
but like for my whole week trip in Barbados,

32:59.660 --> 33:01.900
it was like one day almost in Jamaica.

33:01.900 --> 33:05.080
So it was kind of like the difference for me personally,

33:05.080 --> 33:06.620
but just because so many people went,

33:06.620 --> 33:08.700
there was a large number that got saved.

33:08.700 --> 33:10.980
So if you look at verse number 14,

33:11.700 --> 33:15.540
In Acts chapter 2 we'll kind of see this in the Bible, the same thing, as these large

33:15.540 --> 33:20.900
groups can accomplish a great thing for God even if it's less receptive.

33:22.500 --> 33:26.660
I'm going to read beyond the turn there, but in Acts 1.15 it says,

33:26.660 --> 33:31.060
In those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples and said,

33:31.060 --> 33:35.500
The number of the names together were about 120.

33:35.500 --> 33:39.700
So kind of in the early church, you know, you have about 120 people.

33:39.700 --> 33:44.460
So it's kind of a background into where we'll be here in verse 14.

33:44.460 --> 33:45.300
In Acts 2 it says,

33:45.300 --> 33:49.700
But Peter standing up with the eleven lifted up his voice and said unto them,

33:50.500 --> 33:55.460
and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem be this known unto you, and hearken to my words.

33:58.900 --> 34:07.300
So here Peter standing up with 11, so you have 120 in Acts 1 here, he's standing up with the 11.

34:07.300 --> 34:14.100
And then if you skip down to verse 37, it says, now when they heard this, they were pricked

34:14.100 --> 34:19.060
in their heart and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, men and brethren,

34:19.700 --> 34:26.740
What shall we do? So here we see that it's Peter and also the rest of the Apostles and skip down to verse 41

34:26.740 --> 34:34.060
It says then they that gladly received his word were baptized and the same day were added unto them about

34:34.740 --> 34:39.740
3,000 souls so we see here. Hey 3,000 people got saved and

34:40.020 --> 34:47.380
It wasn't just because Peter preached a great sermon Peters with the rest of the Apostles in Acts 1 you see about 120 so

34:47.700 --> 34:48.980
If you kind of do the math...

34:49.600 --> 34:54.240
And obviously, you know, a lot of people in the new IFB do soul-winning in larger groups

34:54.240 --> 34:55.640
and schools.

34:55.640 --> 35:02.120
But obviously, 3,000 salvations by one person, I don't think has been done that I know of,

35:02.120 --> 35:03.120
at least.

35:03.120 --> 35:09.880
But if you took 3,000 people getting saved by 120, would be about 25 salvations each

35:09.880 --> 35:12.520
in that day, which obviously is very doable.

35:12.520 --> 35:17.360
I mean, I've heard people in Bahamas, Philippines, Jamaica.

35:17.600 --> 35:24.560
Do that and even if you divide it in half with the 60 talkers, it'd be about 50 salvations, you know each for that day

35:24.560 --> 35:27.100
So obviously when you start to think hey, it could be 120 people

35:28.760 --> 35:33.680
Doing some soul winning, you know 50 or 25 salvations is very doable in a day

35:33.680 --> 35:39.460
And then obviously here it doesn't even say just saved it says baptized too. So like here it says

35:40.860 --> 35:42.700
With AI it says that

35:42.900 --> 35:48.740
If Peter had attempted to baptize 3,000 people by himself working non-stop for 10 hours

35:48.800 --> 35:52.040
He would have had to baptize five people every minute

35:52.660 --> 35:55.440
12 seconds per person without a single break

35:55.900 --> 36:00.800
So, you know, I'd be very difficult especially with this, you know 12 seconds person like

36:01.300 --> 36:03.660
You know, you'd have to really be going fast.

36:03.660 --> 36:04.860
Like, did you believe in Jesus?

36:04.860 --> 36:05.360
Yes.

36:05.360 --> 36:05.860
Boom.

36:05.860 --> 36:06.780
Get our next.

36:06.780 --> 36:08.340
You know, just one after another.

36:08.340 --> 36:10.660
But if you split the work with a team,

36:10.660 --> 36:14.500
it says, if only the 12 apostles baptized.

36:14.800 --> 36:21.400
Each apostle would baptize 250 people at a steady pace of one minute per person.

36:21.400 --> 36:26.400
That's roughly four hours of continuous baptizing per apostle.

36:26.400 --> 36:30.500
So, obviously, like A.I. said, it's doable in an afternoon, right?

36:30.500 --> 36:35.300
Even just the 12, but obviously there could have been even a couple other people out of the 120 that baptized.

36:35.300 --> 36:41.200
So, the more people you add, obviously the easier it is, but even just with the 12, you know, four hours.

36:41.200 --> 36:42.800
I mean, that's a lot more than 10 hours.

36:42.800 --> 36:47.520
non-stop 12 seconds per person right so obviously when you have a team of people

36:47.520 --> 36:51.800
this becomes doable whereas when you're by yourself

36:52.200 --> 36:57.240
you can't. And that's kind of what I've seen, right, in Barbados. If you would have went there by yourself,

36:57.240 --> 37:01.720
which some people have on cruise mission trips and things, like people said, hey, it was more receptive,

37:01.720 --> 37:02.980
I got more people saved.

37:02.980 --> 37:04.980
But, you know, like say in the

37:05.280 --> 37:11.180
university you went to, there might have been like 200 people that came in, like in the shift that we were there, because they kind of

37:11.180 --> 37:15.660
assigned you, since there's so many people, different areas every day. Like some day you're at the mall,

37:15.660 --> 37:20.160
some day you're in the school in the morning, like you were assigned where to go. But say you had like

37:20.200 --> 37:26.080
200 students walk by and there's like one and then two but there'd be like 20 25

37:26.080 --> 37:29.900
sole winners or so like there so like

37:30.000 --> 37:32.500
there's really not that many people to talk to, right?

37:32.500 --> 37:33.920
I mean, there's 20 people walking around,

37:33.920 --> 37:35.960
there's only a few people here and there.

37:35.960 --> 37:37.760
You're gonna have a lot of downtime,

37:37.760 --> 37:39.840
but obviously if it was just you and a partner,

37:39.840 --> 37:42.120
like you could probably have way more salvations

37:42.120 --> 37:45.320
because those 200 people would just be you talking to, right?

37:45.320 --> 37:47.280
But obviously a lot of people are gonna walk by

37:47.280 --> 37:48.360
as you're talking to somebody,

37:48.360 --> 37:49.960
you're not gonna reach everybody.

37:49.960 --> 37:53.360
So as a group, you're gonna get way more people saved,

37:53.360 --> 37:56.040
whereas individually, you could have got more saved

37:56.040 --> 37:58.000
by yourself, but less overall.

37:58.000 --> 38:02.520
So I think it's really important to you know like last time I preach it was about being selfish

38:02.520 --> 38:05.460
I was perfect going down there because it's like a lot of times like man

38:05.460 --> 38:09.860
I want to talk to that person, but you're like well. Maybe you know that person can talk to them

38:09.860 --> 38:12.900
I just talked to somebody and I kind of be selfless and let other people

38:13.080 --> 38:16.920
You know talk to people as well and not like I got to see everybody saved

38:17.000 --> 38:22.500
It's kind of perfect that I preached that before going down there because you know you got to be selfless sometimes when you're with other people

38:23.400 --> 38:27.820
So if you flip over to 1 Corinthians chapter number three

38:32.200 --> 38:34.200
So Proverbs 27.

38:34.600 --> 38:35.880
Verse 17 says,

38:35.880 --> 38:37.720
Iron sharpeneth iron,

38:37.720 --> 38:40.760
so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

38:40.760 --> 38:42.640
So obviously, hey, when you're down there

38:42.640 --> 38:44.840
with a bunch of people, a bunch of good soul winners,

38:44.840 --> 38:47.280
people that wanna see people saved,

38:47.280 --> 38:49.760
even if you're not talking to people all the time

38:49.760 --> 38:51.680
and seeing tons of people saved,

38:51.680 --> 38:53.200
that iron's gonna sharpen you,

38:53.200 --> 38:54.200
and then when you come back here,

38:54.200 --> 38:55.480
you're gonna be a better soul winner,

38:55.480 --> 38:57.200
you're gonna wanna do more,

38:57.200 --> 38:58.960
because you're around people

38:58.960 --> 39:00.640
that are doing great works for God too

39:00.640 --> 39:01.800
and that have a zeal.

39:02.600 --> 39:05.880
you know, it gives you motivation to keep going

39:05.880 --> 39:07.500
because you hear their stories when, you know,

39:07.500 --> 39:10.360
no one's there to talk to, you know, you can talk to them

39:10.360 --> 39:11.720
and they'll tell you about different mission trips

39:11.720 --> 39:13.700
they've been on or crews that they've been on

39:13.700 --> 39:17.020
and things that they do and then it gives you motivation.

39:17.020 --> 39:19.320
You know, everybody's like, we're going to the Philippines.

39:19.320 --> 39:21.640
You know, like, man, like I want to go even more

39:21.640 --> 39:24.600
because so many people are going to the Steadfast trip

39:24.600 --> 39:27.480
in February, so, you know, not saying you guys have to go

39:27.480 --> 39:29.320
but that's a good thing to put on your calendar, right?

39:29.320 --> 39:30.280
February.

39:30.600 --> 39:35.600
I think it's February 12th through the 20th, so you guys buy your tickets.

39:35.600 --> 39:38.600
Because the sooner you buy the tickets, the cheaper they are as well.

39:38.600 --> 39:42.600
So in 1 Corinthians chapter 3 verse number 6, it says,

39:42.600 --> 39:46.600
I have planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.

39:46.600 --> 39:48.600
So here we see, hey, a team, right?

39:48.600 --> 39:51.600
There's one person planting, one person watering,

39:51.600 --> 39:56.600
and then you also have God in the equation getting the people saved, right?

39:56.600 --> 39:57.400
So.

39:57.600 --> 40:02.560
You know it takes a team to do it it says in verse number seven so then neither is he that planteth

40:02.760 --> 40:06.340
Anything neither he that watereth but God that giveth the increase

40:06.560 --> 40:11.680
Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one and every man shall receive

40:11.880 --> 40:18.240
His own lay or reward according to his own labor for we are laborers together with God

40:18.560 --> 40:25.560
You are God's husbandry you are God's building so obviously hey we work together as a team we work together with God it takes

40:25.600 --> 40:28.600
a lot of people to do a great work for God.

40:28.600 --> 40:34.600
In Barbados, there was a time where that came to light,

40:34.600 --> 40:36.600
where, hey, somebody waters, somebody plants.

40:36.600 --> 40:41.600
And it was really quick, because I was doing some soul

40:41.600 --> 40:42.600
when I got some people to stay.

40:42.600 --> 40:45.600
It was like the best day we actually got in.

40:45.600 --> 40:47.600
The only day we got into a nice school,

40:47.600 --> 40:48.600
I don't know if it was a high school or what,

40:48.600 --> 40:52.600
we got into the school, and they just let you talk

40:52.600 --> 40:53.600
you talk to the kids or...

40:53.600 --> 40:58.280
or lunch for like an hour in the yard so it's just like the best soul winning

40:58.280 --> 41:02.560
because it's like groups and you know there's 70 soul winners there and

41:02.560 --> 41:06.480
there's you know a couple hundred students or whatever so you just get to

41:06.480 --> 41:10.400
go up and it's just like for an hour it's like unlimited salvations it's like

41:10.500 --> 41:13.000
the best hour of the trip.

41:13.000 --> 41:14.900
But I got some people saved,

41:14.900 --> 41:17.600
then I was like, well, I'll take care of the baby,

41:17.600 --> 41:19.200
let my wife talk to some people,

41:19.200 --> 41:21.600
because there's some younger high school kids too,

41:21.600 --> 41:22.700
or maybe it's middle school,

41:22.700 --> 41:24.500
but I was like, go talk to some of the girls

41:24.500 --> 41:26.100
that are younger and try to get them saved,

41:26.100 --> 41:27.400
I'll take care of the baby.

41:27.400 --> 41:28.400
And I was just holding the baby,

41:28.400 --> 41:29.400
and then somebody comes up to me,

41:29.400 --> 41:31.300
and they're like, just standing there,

41:31.300 --> 41:34.500
and I was like, hey, did anybody talk to you?

41:34.500 --> 41:35.800
I wasn't really planning on talking to anybody,

41:35.800 --> 41:38.400
I was just taking care of the baby, letting her soul in.

41:38.500 --> 41:40.860
And she's like, yeah, somebody talked to me.

41:40.860 --> 41:42.660
And I said, well, what happened?

41:42.660 --> 41:44.660
Did you believe what they said?

41:44.660 --> 41:46.780
Or what kind of happened?

41:46.780 --> 41:48.700
She's like, well, they told me everything,

41:48.700 --> 41:51.460
but I'm not really sure if it's really a gift

41:51.460 --> 41:52.860
or if you have to do something for it.

41:52.860 --> 41:55.340
So then I just talked to her and gave her verses

41:55.340 --> 41:59.300
off the top of my head and gave her different illustrations.

41:59.300 --> 42:03.700
And then I was like, well, do you believe now it's a gift?

42:03.700 --> 42:04.620
Or do you still think?

42:04.900 --> 42:07.100
you have to do stuff for it.

42:07.100 --> 42:09.300
And she's like, well now I think it's a gift

42:09.300 --> 42:10.900
and I believe you don't have to do anything for it.

42:10.900 --> 42:12.900
So then she got saved, but it's like somebody else

42:12.900 --> 42:15.100
just talked to her and then she just needed

42:15.100 --> 42:17.140
a couple more verses, some more illustrations,

42:17.140 --> 42:18.940
and then hey, she got saved.

42:18.940 --> 42:21.020
I wasn't even planning on going to her,

42:21.020 --> 42:23.220
but hey, it just shows that sometimes,

42:23.220 --> 42:24.340
and I've had it other times,

42:24.340 --> 42:27.420
there's one with brother Jared where I try to get

42:27.420 --> 42:30.780
the slave to listen, her dad or grandpa or whatever

42:30.780 --> 42:32.900
comes out and he's like yelling and all mad.

42:32.900 --> 42:34.500
and she's like, I can't talk.

42:34.500 --> 42:36.400
And then I see Brother Jared come,

42:36.400 --> 42:37.740
and Grandpa goes back in,

42:37.740 --> 42:39.300
and then he talks to her and gets her saved.

42:39.300 --> 42:41.840
So it's like perfect where, you know,

42:41.840 --> 42:44.640
if he wasn't there, she wouldn't have got saved, right?

42:44.640 --> 42:46.000
So sometimes it takes that.

42:46.000 --> 42:47.540
Like one person's doing something,

42:47.540 --> 42:49.640
then somebody else actually gets them saved.

42:49.640 --> 42:51.940
So it's awesome when that stuff happens.

42:51.940 --> 42:54.940
If you flip over to Exodus chapter 17.

42:58.700 --> 43:02.020
We're going to see an Old Testament example of people needing to work together to get

43:02.020 --> 43:02.860
something done.

43:05.700 --> 43:10.500
In Exodus 17 it says in verse number 8,

43:10.500 --> 43:15.300
then came Amalek and fought with Israel and Rephidim,

43:15.300 --> 43:19.380
and Moses said unto Joshua, Choose us out men,

43:19.380 --> 43:22.460
and go out, fight with Amalek.

43:22.460 --> 43:23.620
Tomorrow I will stand.

43:24.500 --> 43:28.000
on the top of the hill with the rod of God in mine hand.

43:28.000 --> 43:30.840
So Joshua did as Moses had said to him,

43:30.840 --> 43:31.940
and fought with Amalek.

43:31.940 --> 43:36.440
And Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.

43:36.440 --> 43:39.280
And it came to pass when Moses held up his hand,

43:39.280 --> 43:40.420
that Israel prevailed.

43:40.420 --> 43:43.920
And when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

43:43.920 --> 43:47.960
But Moses' hands were heavy, and they took a stone

43:47.960 --> 43:49.460
and put it under him.

43:49.460 --> 43:52.500
And he sat there on, and Moses and Hur stayed up his hand.

43:52.500 --> 43:57.760
hands, the one on the one side and the other on the other side, and his hands were steady

43:57.760 --> 44:03.640
until the going down of the sun, and Joshua discomforted Amalek and his people with the

44:03.640 --> 44:04.640
edge of the sword.

44:04.640 --> 44:06.120
So here's a great example of teamwork, right?

44:06.120 --> 44:11.240
Because we always think of Moses doing these great things, but obviously Moses needed Joshua

44:11.240 --> 44:13.940
to lead these people so he could do what he needed to do.

44:13.940 --> 44:15.760
Then Joshua needed to choose out men.

44:15.760 --> 44:20.180
If those men weren't willing to fight or weren't there, Joshua couldn't lead anybody.

44:20.180 --> 44:20.500
you need a

44:20.500 --> 44:26.020
Moses, you needed Joshua, you needed the man, and then not only that but Moses needed Aaron and her

44:26.020 --> 44:30.020
to be there to help him because he got tired, right? I mean he didn't work out enough to

44:30.020 --> 44:35.140
to lift that up all night, right? So obviously without any of those people it wouldn't have

44:35.140 --> 44:36.980
worked, right? I mean if Moses wasn't...

44:37.300 --> 44:43.580
Holding up his hands Joshua would have lost and then if Aaron and her weren't there to help Moses

44:43.580 --> 44:48.020
Same thing if the men weren't there there'd be no one to help fight, right?

44:48.020 --> 44:51.100
so you need a team to be able to do a great work for God and

44:51.500 --> 44:56.400
Not just the leadership is the one that's doing the great things, right?

44:56.400 --> 45:00.320
It takes the men out there doing the work as well. So it's just a big team

45:01.200 --> 45:06.600
in order to get things done. So if you'd flip over to Ecclesiastes chapter 4

45:14.200 --> 45:17.000
Ecclesiastes chapter 4.

45:18.100 --> 45:25.700
Verse number 9, it says, 2 are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.

45:25.700 --> 45:32.260
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow, but woe to him that is alone when he falleth,

45:32.260 --> 45:39.860
for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat. But how can

45:39.860 --> 45:45.940
one be warm alone, and if one prevail against him, two shall withstand.

45:46.100 --> 45:50.300
him and a three-fold cord is not quickly broken.

45:50.300 --> 45:53.180
So hey, two people are better than one, obviously,

45:53.180 --> 45:55.220
and then if you have even more than that,

45:55.220 --> 45:56.500
the more the better, right?

45:56.500 --> 45:59.900
And if one person falls, somebody else can lift you up,

45:59.900 --> 46:01.420
whereas if you're by yourself and you fall,

46:01.420 --> 46:02.780
you're just done, right?

46:02.780 --> 46:05.540
So obviously, in Barbado, especially,

46:05.540 --> 46:08.220
hey, people aren't that receptive,

46:08.220 --> 46:10.740
and people don't look at you, people ignore you.

46:11.860 --> 46:14.100
Some dude is just screaming at me and like.

46:14.100 --> 46:18.340
going nuts and saying that he's gonna like call the cops on me and get me

46:18.340 --> 46:20.700
arrested or whatever and

46:20.800 --> 46:25.000
Going nuts, you know, it's like when there's other people around that are good soul winners that are seeing people get saved

46:25.000 --> 46:31.040
It keeps you motivated and you want to keep going right whereas if you're by yourself and that happens sometimes just like well

46:31.040 --> 46:31.800
You know what?

46:31.800 --> 46:35.000
Whatever I'll call it a day and we'll go back out tomorrow or something

46:35.000 --> 46:39.560
whereas when there's other people there and they're seeing people save it makes you want to try to

46:39.880 --> 46:46.200
Do good as well because you know, you're like, hey, this person's got ten salvations. I only got one like I I gotta go get better

46:46.200 --> 46:48.200
I got to do more. I can't you know

46:48.600 --> 46:52.240
just slack off, right? I gotta do more.

46:52.240 --> 46:53.740
And it's, especially when you go on the trip,

46:53.740 --> 46:55.740
it's always funny because it always ends up

46:55.740 --> 46:58.240
being like your group and then it's like a competition

46:58.240 --> 47:01.740
or it's like some car versus another car

47:01.740 --> 47:02.940
and another car or whatever.

47:02.940 --> 47:05.280
It's like, our car got the most people saved today

47:05.280 --> 47:06.120
or whatever.

47:06.120 --> 47:08.380
So it's like then the next day you have to try to beat them

47:08.380 --> 47:10.180
because they're bragging and like, you know,

47:10.180 --> 47:11.760
we're the best or whatever.

47:11.760 --> 47:13.120
So, but it is kind of funny, you know,

47:13.120 --> 47:16.520
it's usually always like that or whatever group you're-

47:16.600 --> 47:18.280
signed or whatever house you're in.

47:18.280 --> 47:19.980
And I think in Jamaica it was by house.

47:19.980 --> 47:22.800
It was like whatever house had the most people saved.

47:22.800 --> 47:24.500
Here it was like whatever vehicle.

47:25.500 --> 47:30.440
So you do want to try to have a friendly competition.

47:30.440 --> 47:34.440
So point number two is we need people to sole win

47:34.440 --> 47:37.400
everywhere because obviously people are going to hell

47:37.400 --> 47:38.460
all over the place.

47:38.460 --> 47:40.700
So if you guys would flip over to Luke chapter 10.

47:47.500 --> 47:52.800
So, I'm going to read a couple of verses as you get there.

47:52.800 --> 47:55.940
So if you guys are in Luke 10, I'm going to read from Luke 9-6.

47:55.940 --> 48:00.500
It says, and they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing

48:00.500 --> 48:01.500
everywhere.

48:01.500 --> 48:04.340
So, hey, the apostles and...

48:04.340 --> 48:05.000
And I'll see you next time.

48:05.300 --> 48:09.300
especially later on, Paul, like they're going through the towns and they're preaching the gospel

48:09.300 --> 48:12.740
and I like it says like everywhere right because that's where we're supposed to go is just

48:12.740 --> 48:18.500
all over and there's not enough people doing it so we need to do it right I mean it'd be nice if

48:18.500 --> 48:23.460
there was people already there in Barbados or Jamaica or wherever doing the soul winning and

48:23.460 --> 48:27.620
we didn't have to go because they're there taking care of it but since there's not we have to do

48:27.620 --> 48:31.780
it right I mean in Indiana it's not like there's an abundance of people going soul winning so then

48:31.780 --> 48:33.300
then it's just like we have to do it, right?

48:33.300 --> 48:37.300
So, same thing in pretty much every single city, every state.

48:37.300 --> 48:41.300
So in Mark 1, 38, you have to turn there, it says,

48:41.300 --> 48:44.300
And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns,

48:44.300 --> 48:48.300
That I may preach there also, for therefore came I forth.

48:48.300 --> 48:52.300
And he preached in their synagogues throughout all Galilee,

48:52.300 --> 48:54.300
and cast out devils.

48:54.300 --> 48:56.300
So, obviously, hey, the same thing, like Jesus.

48:57.100 --> 49:02.480
the apostles, you know, the Apostle Paul especially is just the same thing over and over, going

49:02.480 --> 49:07.880
to town, town, town, city to city, and just preaching all over the place.

49:07.880 --> 49:10.080
So you guys are in Luke 10, look at verse number 1, it says,

49:10.080 --> 49:11.440
and these things, the law.

49:12.100 --> 49:17.300
After these things the Lord appointed other seventy also and sent them two and two

49:17.660 --> 49:22.380
Before his face into every city and place whether he himself would come

49:23.140 --> 49:26.180
Therefore said he unto them the harvest truly is great

49:26.180 --> 49:33.860
But the laborers are few pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest that he would send forth laborers into his harvest

49:33.860 --> 49:40.100
So obviously hey the fewer the laborers there are the more the few laborers are have to

49:40.100 --> 49:43.900
do right? I mean if you have a big giant field and there's only two workers you

49:43.900 --> 49:47.780
got a lot of work to do but if there's 500 workers then there's less to do

49:47.780 --> 49:52.700
right? I mean it's way easier so the more people that are going the easier it is.

49:52.900 --> 49:57.100
But at the same time, there's nowhere near enough laborers.

49:57.200 --> 49:59.600
So no matter what, we're going to have to work pretty hard

49:59.700 --> 50:01.500
because there's a lot of people in the world

50:01.600 --> 50:03.540
and there's not many people going out so many.

50:03.640 --> 50:06.580
And it's like, you can knock doors every Sunday,

50:06.680 --> 50:09.140
and it's like you never see anybody else knocking doors.

50:09.240 --> 50:10.140
Right?

50:10.240 --> 50:11.680
I mean, sometimes I've seen a track here and there,

50:11.780 --> 50:13.980
but it's not like you're running out and seeing

50:14.080 --> 50:16.520
other Baptist churches everywhere just knocking doors

50:16.620 --> 50:18.080
and you're fighting over the doors.

50:18.180 --> 50:20.320
Like, no, our church is getting this door.

50:20.320 --> 50:20.900
And they're actually

50:20.900 --> 50:26.220
was one church that I went to in Michigan. I was at one Baptist church and then there's

50:26.220 --> 50:31.140
another Baptist church across town and the pastor ended up having to resign for like

50:31.140 --> 50:35.420
some sins and stuff so he probably wasn't the best dude but like I went to visit his

50:35.420 --> 50:39.300
church. I had a friend that was new IB that was going there and the pastor was my sonar

50:39.300 --> 50:40.300
partner and he's like.

50:40.300 --> 50:40.600
Thanks for watching!

50:41.100 --> 50:47.620
Asked he was like I got to ask you a question and he's like how come somebody from your guys church was soul-winning in our

50:47.860 --> 50:53.620
Area because there was a track from your guys church on one of the doors in our neighborhood and like you guys should be soul-winning

50:53.620 --> 50:57.420
On your end of town and I was thinking like this is weird like who who cares?

50:57.420 --> 51:00.460
You know what I mean? Like at least they're soul-winning, right? Maybe they live over here

51:00.460 --> 51:04.820
Like I don't know who it was like but it's just weird. I mean then like a couple months later the guy

51:05.420 --> 51:08.980
gets divorced and like found to be like in the sin or whatever and

51:09.100 --> 51:13.300
resigns, which is a bad attitude. I mean, if somebody still went right across the street

51:13.300 --> 51:16.500
and they're preaching the right gospel, it's like who cares? Like they should get saved.

51:16.500 --> 51:22.140
I mean, most people that get saved aren't coming to church anyway, so like really like what does it matter?

51:22.140 --> 51:24.580
I mean, it's like, you know, I mean maybe luck.

51:25.000 --> 51:28.600
Happen to be that that person is going to be like the most faithful faithful member

51:28.700 --> 51:34.000
But like the chances are they're not coming to church and they're not given tithe so it's like, you know

51:34.000 --> 51:40.300
I mean what what's the deal right? I mean they're going to heaven so you guys have flip over to Acts chapter 8

51:40.480 --> 51:43.080
And I'll read from Romans chapter 10

51:46.200 --> 51:48.680
It says in Romans 10-14, it says,

51:48.680 --> 51:52.600
How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed,

51:52.600 --> 51:56.880
and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard,

51:56.880 --> 51:59.760
and how shall they hear without a preacher,

51:59.760 --> 52:02.400
and how shall they preach except they be sent,

52:02.400 --> 52:04.840
as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them

52:04.840 --> 52:08.520
that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings

52:08.520 --> 52:09.720
of good things.

52:09.720 --> 52:12.520
So hey, people can't get saved without somebody showing them,

52:12.520 --> 52:13.020
right?

52:13.020 --> 52:14.100
People can't get saved.

52:14.400 --> 52:20.280
Without a preacher going to show them the gospel show them how to get saved and then you need somebody to send people right?

52:20.280 --> 52:22.700
I mean, there's not enough people being sent and

52:24.200 --> 52:26.200
There's definitely not enough

52:26.560 --> 52:34.000
Preachers out there right so in Jamaica and Barbados in the Philippines like probably every like lower

52:35.040 --> 52:39.980
Level country third world country or whatever it seems like they'd know the Bible like you'll be showing them a verse

52:40.600 --> 52:44.520
and you'll be showing them like John 3 16 especially and they'll all like start quoting it

52:45.080 --> 52:48.520
as you're going and it's kind of like in the Philippines especially like when I did the school

52:48.520 --> 52:51.720
preaching the first time was like you'd be giving them a verse and then they would just start saying

52:51.720 --> 52:56.500
the verses as you're saying it but most people aren't saved so

52:56.700 --> 52:59.260
You see this in the Bible in Acts chapter 8, the same thing.

52:59.260 --> 53:02.940
It's like people read the Bible, they know the Bible, and they're not saved because

53:02.940 --> 53:07.420
the Bible says, you know, how shall they hear without a preacher?

53:07.420 --> 53:10.500
Somebody needs to preach it to them even though they know the verses, they've heard it, they've

53:10.500 --> 53:15.860
read it, they don't know what it means because they haven't had somebody show or tell them,

53:15.860 --> 53:17.460
you know, exactly what it means.

53:17.460 --> 53:20.980
And we'll see that in the Bible in Acts 8.25.

53:20.980 --> 53:24.660
It says, and they, when they had testified and preached the word.

53:24.700 --> 53:31.940
of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.

53:31.940 --> 53:36.520
And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise and go toward the south unto

53:36.520 --> 53:41.780
the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Geza, which is desert.

53:41.780 --> 53:46.880
And he arose and went, and behold, the man of Ethiopia, and eunuch of great authority,

53:46.880 --> 53:52.160
Candace, Queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her...

53:52.700 --> 53:53.700
Treasure.

53:54.500 --> 54:00.800
Had come to Jerusalem for to worship was returning and sitting in his chariot read as I asked the prophet

54:00.800 --> 54:05.820
Then the spirit said unto Philip go near and join thyself to his chariot and

54:06.140 --> 54:10.500
Philip ran thither to him and heard him read the prophet as I asked and said

54:11.100 --> 54:15.700
Understandest thou what thou readest and this is the best thing when you're going so winning down there

54:15.700 --> 54:20.740
It's like John 3 16 you're like for God so loved then they just start saying it and you're like hold up because you don't

54:20.740 --> 54:22.500
Even know what it means you have to

54:22.500 --> 54:28.020
Like just let me tell you, you know what it means first because they all tell you you got to live a good life

54:28.020 --> 54:33.680
Be a good person to go to heaven and then you're like for God to love the world and then they just start saying it and it's like

54:33.680 --> 54:38.960
Okay, you just said you have to live a good life. But then now what did you say when you quoted that verse, right?

54:38.960 --> 54:46.180
It's kind of crazy to think that people can know these verses by heart memory and in the Philippines not like just John 3 16

54:46.180 --> 54:48.960
It's like Romans 6 23 like they know these verses

54:49.700 --> 54:50.940
but they don't understand them.

54:50.940 --> 54:52.420
They think you have to repent of your sins,

54:52.420 --> 54:55.280
live a good life, be a good person, yet they know.

54:56.400 --> 55:00.040
these verses by heart. And you'll see that in verse 31, it says,

55:00.040 --> 55:04.240
And he said, How can I except some man should guide me?

55:04.240 --> 55:08.200
And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him.

55:08.200 --> 55:12.440
So hey, you know, tons of people that are younger know these verses,

55:12.440 --> 55:15.880
but how can they know what it means unless somebody's gonna guide them, right?

55:15.880 --> 55:20.800
And in verse 35 it says, Then Philip opened his mouth and began at the same

55:20.800 --> 55:21.760
scripture

55:21.760 --> 55:23.920
and preached unto him Jesus.

55:24.400 --> 55:28.240
So Philip had to explain the gospel to them, right?

55:28.240 --> 55:29.360
Philip had to get them saved.

55:29.360 --> 55:32.360
Philip had to show them all the stuff.

55:32.360 --> 55:34.400
But then not only did he get this guy saved,

55:34.400 --> 55:37.680
in verse 40 we'll continue with this trend.

55:38.200 --> 55:45.140
It says, but Philip was found at Azotus, and passing through he preached in all the cities

55:45.140 --> 55:47.800
till he came to Caesarea.

55:47.800 --> 55:52.380
So obviously, you know, hey, it is a lot of work to go to all the cities, preach everywhere,

55:52.380 --> 55:57.300
go to all the states, and go to all the countries, and do it all, but no one else is doing it,

55:57.300 --> 55:58.300
right?

55:58.300 --> 56:00.660
So that means that we have to do it because...

56:01.300 --> 56:03.300
If other people were doing it, we'd have to do it as much.

56:03.300 --> 56:06.300
But since there isn't, we have to do it.

56:06.300 --> 56:14.300
If you guys would, I'll have you guys flip over to Matthew chapter 7,

56:14.300 --> 56:17.300
and then I'll just read a few verses as you're turning there.

56:17.300 --> 56:21.300
It says in Acts 14, 6, it says...

56:22.200 --> 56:28.200
they were aware of it and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of like Haonia, and unto the region

56:28.200 --> 56:34.760
that lieth round about, and there they preached the gospel." So hey, they're fleeing to all these

56:34.760 --> 56:41.160
different cities and they're preaching the gospel, right? And the historian Mark 1615

56:42.100 --> 56:48.180
It says and he said to them go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature

56:48.500 --> 56:51.640
So hey the Bible is clear and obviously we know these verses right?

56:51.640 --> 56:57.460
But it says to go to all the world and the reason is because even at Jesus time is the same as now

56:57.460 --> 57:01.320
There's not and anybody else really doing it all over right there is some

57:01.720 --> 57:05.380
Baptist churches here and there preaching or some individuals here and there

57:05.720 --> 57:10.060
But not enough so the the few people all over the world that are actually preaching they have

57:10.100 --> 57:13.940
to go to all the world because there are so many pockets all over the world that no one

57:13.940 --> 57:14.940
is doing it.

57:14.940 --> 57:15.940
Right?

57:15.940 --> 57:18.460
I mean, you wouldn't really necessarily have to go to all the world to preach the gospel

57:18.460 --> 57:22.900
if every single city had a good church that was doing soul winning, because then everybody

57:22.900 --> 57:25.140
would just do it in their area and then that's it.

57:25.140 --> 57:30.620
But since there's not, you have to go and preach all over the world because if you don't

57:30.620 --> 57:32.460
go no one is going.

57:32.460 --> 57:33.940
And it's kind of...

57:34.500 --> 57:39.100
sad, but it is the reality and that's why the Apostles they're going to all these different cities because

57:39.380 --> 57:45.320
There's no one in that town doing anything so they have to go and obviously it does cost a lot of money to travel right so

57:46.000 --> 57:50.720
You do have to work hard and it is kind of important to take your career serious,

57:50.720 --> 57:56.720
to try to make some money and to not just take job work and money serious.

57:56.720 --> 57:58.400
I know a big thing is,

57:58.400 --> 58:01.320
it's like the money is the root of all evil or whatever.

58:01.320 --> 58:02.800
But if you don't have any money,

58:02.800 --> 58:05.760
the sad reality is you're not going to be preaching the gospel all over the world,

58:05.760 --> 58:07.440
especially with gas prices now.

58:07.440 --> 58:13.880
So the sad reality is you do have to try to work and do things to-

58:14.000 --> 58:16.760
to make money because even just to come to church,

58:16.760 --> 58:18.640
I mean, just to have a vehicle and gas,

58:18.640 --> 58:21.040
especially when people drive in a lot of new

58:21.040 --> 58:23.640
Ivy type churches, they drive an hour, two hours.

58:23.640 --> 58:25.720
As gas and stuff gets more expensive

58:25.720 --> 58:27.920
and Trump's handing out these $5,000 checks

58:27.920 --> 58:29.680
and inflation goes up, right?

58:29.680 --> 58:31.920
So, you know, it's gonna cost a lot of money

58:31.920 --> 58:34.340
just to get to church, just to get to, you know,

58:34.340 --> 58:36.520
brother Jared knows when he goes to Alabama

58:36.520 --> 58:37.840
to do a soul winning marathon, like,

58:37.840 --> 58:39.800
it does cost money to drive down there.

58:39.800 --> 58:41.240
It's not like, they're not just giving

58:41.240 --> 58:42.000
the soul winners free.

58:42.000 --> 58:44.680
gas at the Love's gas station or whatever, right?

58:44.680 --> 58:46.860
So you do have to take stuff serious

58:46.860 --> 58:51.200
and try to have a good career because you have to,

58:51.200 --> 58:56.200
in most cases, fund these trips in order to be able to go.

58:56.340 --> 58:58.840
So there is an important part of...

58:59.300 --> 59:05.060
of trying to have money to do it. So if you guys are in Matthew chapter 7, this is point number 3, it says

59:05.780 --> 59:09.020
work salvation is sending people to hell all over the world, right?

59:09.020 --> 59:13.500
So a lot of people think different cultures and different things and like how do you know the right religion?

59:13.540 --> 59:18.700
It's kind of like well every single country you go to they believe in work salvation. So it's like pretty easy

59:19.420 --> 59:21.740
to see which one the right one is because the only

59:22.180 --> 59:27.180
thing that isn't work salvation is what the Bible says, right? It doesn't matter if you're in Jamaica, Barbados,

59:27.300 --> 59:32.940
Philippines like Canada, if you go to any other church like the Catholic Church or

59:32.940 --> 59:38.500
whatever it's you know Islam, Judaism, it's just work salvation. So you know it's

59:38.500 --> 59:42.420
pretty simple to figure out what's right it's just not work salvation because

59:42.420 --> 59:47.300
everybody preaches it. So Matthew 7 verse 22

59:47.600 --> 59:53.400
It says, Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy

59:53.400 --> 59:59.320
name and in thy name have cast out devils and in thy name done many wonderful works?

59:59.320 --> 01:00:05.640
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you, depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

01:00:07.400 --> 01:00:10.400
So here we see a group of people that say,

01:00:10.400 --> 01:00:14.400
hey, we prophesied in your name, we did many wonderful works,

01:00:14.400 --> 01:00:17.200
we cast out devils, right? So they did all this stuff.

01:00:17.600 --> 01:00:20.600
for Jesus and Jesus says, hey, like I never knew you.

01:00:20.600 --> 01:00:23.400
Because work salvation, doing good deeds,

01:00:23.400 --> 01:00:25.200
being a good person and doing this stuff

01:00:25.200 --> 01:00:28.400
doesn't make you saved and it doesn't, you know,

01:00:28.400 --> 01:00:29.700
give you everlasting life.

01:00:29.700 --> 01:00:30.900
So you could do all this great stuff

01:00:30.900 --> 01:00:32.400
and you're not gonna go to heaven,

01:00:32.400 --> 01:00:34.200
which, you know, obviously in Barbados,

01:00:34.200 --> 01:00:35.800
that's the big thing is, hey, you ask somebody,

01:00:35.800 --> 01:00:36.600
how do you go to heaven?

01:00:36.600 --> 01:00:38.100
Believe in Jesus, be a good person.

01:00:38.100 --> 01:00:40.300
Believe in Jesus, follow the commandments.

01:00:40.300 --> 01:00:43.200
And, you know, one person I was talking to is two girls

01:00:43.200 --> 01:00:44.900
and that was a big thing is just, hey,

01:00:45.400 --> 01:00:51.560
you shouldn't go around telling people and Barbados that they can just live however they want and still go to heaven because they're gonna do bad things.

01:00:51.560 --> 01:00:56.040
And it's like, yeah, I mean, obviously you shouldn't do bad things. I'm not saying you should.

01:00:56.040 --> 01:01:00.280
And most people that are doing bad things are doing it anyway, so it doesn't matter. But...

01:01:00.600 --> 01:01:07.800
That is what the Bible says. You can do bad things and that's why people like Samson, David, Saul went to heaven

01:01:07.800 --> 01:01:13.600
is because you can do bad things and go to heaven. I mean, obviously you shouldn't, but you know, if I do things against my parents

01:01:13.600 --> 01:01:19.200
doesn't change the fact that I'm their kid, right? I mean, nothing changes that. So, you know, just because you get offended at it

01:01:19.200 --> 01:01:24.400
doesn't mean like I'm going to not preach the Bible because you're offended. It's like, I didn't write the Bible.

01:01:24.400 --> 01:01:26.000
And I told that to a lady. It's like...

01:01:26.400 --> 01:01:29.000
I showed a verse, and I can't remember what one it was,

01:01:29.000 --> 01:01:33.320
maybe it was Romans 10, 9 or 10, 13 or something where it says,

01:01:33.320 --> 01:01:33.820
saved.

01:01:33.820 --> 01:01:36.200
Because it was weird because she believed,

01:01:36.200 --> 01:01:37.320
there was two people.

01:01:37.320 --> 01:01:39.820
One of them said you had to live a good life to go to heaven

01:01:39.820 --> 01:01:40.700
and believe in Jesus.

01:01:40.700 --> 01:01:42.800
The other one said it was everlasting life.

01:01:42.900 --> 01:01:46.400
But somehow you could lose it, and I can't remember.

01:01:46.400 --> 01:01:48.400
I think it was like if you stopped believing or something,

01:01:48.400 --> 01:01:49.900
you could lose your salvation.

01:01:49.900 --> 01:01:52.400
And then the one that believed in work salvation,

01:01:52.400 --> 01:01:55.400
by the end she understood it, she got saved.

01:01:55.400 --> 01:01:57.400
She was on my side versus the other person.

01:01:57.400 --> 01:01:58.900
I was throwing the verse that said, save.

01:01:58.900 --> 01:02:00.900
And I asked, how long is that for?

01:02:00.900 --> 01:02:02.900
It's past tense with an ED.

01:02:02.900 --> 01:02:04.400
You guys are in university.

01:02:04.400 --> 01:02:06.900
When you're saved, past tense means it's done, right?

01:02:06.900 --> 01:02:08.400
And the one's like, yeah, it's over with.

01:02:08.400 --> 01:02:09.900
You have it. It's everlasting.

01:02:09.900 --> 01:02:10.900
And then the other one's like, well,

01:02:10.900 --> 01:02:12.340
if you don't believe.

01:02:12.340 --> 01:02:14.020
And I was like, and then she's like,

01:02:14.020 --> 01:02:16.060
you're telling me that I can stop believing

01:02:16.060 --> 01:02:16.880
and still go to heaven.

01:02:16.880 --> 01:02:17.720
I said, I'm not telling you nothing.

01:02:17.720 --> 01:02:18.920
I didn't write this.

01:02:18.920 --> 01:02:19.860
What does it say here?

01:02:19.860 --> 01:02:21.940
And then her friend's like, yeah, it's everlasting.

01:02:21.940 --> 01:02:24.000
And her friend just like calling her out.

01:02:24.000 --> 01:02:25.460
And I was like, this is funny.

01:02:25.460 --> 01:02:28.060
But the one that said they believed in everlasting

01:02:28.060 --> 01:02:30.060
for some reason, like really didn't believe it

01:02:30.060 --> 01:02:31.780
and didn't even end up getting saved.

01:02:31.780 --> 01:02:33.100
So that was kind of weird.

01:02:33.100 --> 01:02:35.220
Cause I thought at first she was like, wow,

01:02:35.220 --> 01:02:36.100
she gave me the right answer.

01:02:36.100 --> 01:02:37.660
It's believe and it's everlasting.

01:02:37.660 --> 01:02:38.700
But then at the end.

01:02:38.800 --> 01:02:40.800
She was the one arguing with the Bible.

01:02:40.800 --> 01:02:43.800
So I was like, man, this is kind of a weird situation here.

01:02:43.800 --> 01:02:45.800
But obviously the Bible is so clear on this.

01:02:45.800 --> 01:02:49.800
If you guys flip over to Acts chapter 16.

01:02:52.600 --> 01:03:00.520
I'm going to read Romans 11, 6. It says, and if by grace, then is it no more of works,

01:03:00.520 --> 01:03:05.960
otherwise grace is no more grace, but if it be of works, then is it no more grace,

01:03:05.960 --> 01:03:11.480
otherwise work is no more work. So obviously it's either, it can't be both, it's either free

01:03:11.480 --> 01:03:18.040
or it's not free. It's either of work or it's not of work. I mean, it can't be both. In Galatians 2, 16,

01:03:18.800 --> 01:03:23.920
It says, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith

01:03:23.920 --> 01:03:29.560
of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ that we might be justified by

01:03:29.560 --> 01:03:33.560
the faith of Christ and not by the works of the law.

01:03:33.560 --> 01:03:38.920
And then, I love this end, it says, for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

01:03:38.920 --> 01:03:44.240
So not a single person, even the stupid pope, isn't going to be justified by works, even

01:03:44.240 --> 01:03:46.720
everything he does is wicked but even people look at that.

01:03:46.800 --> 01:03:52.060
is like, oh this great man of God and you know look at how like holy he is right

01:03:52.060 --> 01:03:56.140
he's got his dress on and you know whatever but you know like they put

01:03:56.140 --> 01:04:00.800
these people on a pedestal but it says for by the works of the

01:04:00.800 --> 01:04:06.000
law shall no flesh be justified so even these high up ranking people and these

01:04:06.000 --> 01:04:10.320
false religions they're not going to be justified by works and they don't believe

01:04:10.320 --> 01:04:13.880
in faith alone so they're going to hell I mean it's pretty easy people like think

01:04:13.880 --> 01:04:14.720
I think it's like this crazy thing.

01:04:14.800 --> 01:04:17.560
how do you know who's going to go to heaven and how do you know who's going to go to hell

01:04:17.560 --> 01:04:21.680
and you can't know and why would you judge people? It's like, because it's very easy.

01:04:21.680 --> 01:04:26.040
I mean, do you believe in works? Because here the Bible says, nobody's saved by works. So

01:04:26.040 --> 01:04:30.640
if you believe in works, you're not saved. I mean, it's not very complicated. So in verse

01:04:30.640 --> 01:04:35.360
21 in that same chapter, you have to turn there, it says, I do not frustrate the grace

01:04:35.360 --> 01:04:41.200
of God for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain. So hey, if you

01:04:41.200 --> 01:04:42.800
could be righteous by the law than

01:04:42.800 --> 01:04:44.080
Why did Jesus even die?

01:04:44.080 --> 01:04:44.920
Why'd he come for?

01:04:44.920 --> 01:04:46.360
It doesn't make any sense.

01:04:46.360 --> 01:04:49.120
He would've just let you live your good life

01:04:49.120 --> 01:04:50.100
and you could've went to heaven

01:04:50.100 --> 01:04:52.080
and he wouldn't have had to suffer.

01:04:52.080 --> 01:04:55.200
I mean, it's kind of weird to think that Jesus

01:04:55.200 --> 01:04:57.600
would have to come down, die on the cross,

01:04:57.600 --> 01:04:59.940
and go to hell for everybody's sins,

01:04:59.940 --> 01:05:00.920
raise from the dead,

01:05:00.920 --> 01:05:03.680
if you could just live a good life and go to heaven.

01:05:03.680 --> 01:05:05.080
It wouldn't make any sense.

01:05:05.080 --> 01:05:07.160
So in Acts 16, 28,

01:05:07.500 --> 01:05:14.820
It says, But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm, for we are all

01:05:14.820 --> 01:05:15.820
here.

01:05:15.820 --> 01:05:21.080
Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul

01:05:21.080 --> 01:05:26.700
and Silas, and brought them out, and said, Surs, what must I do to be saved?

01:05:27.200 --> 01:05:32.860
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved in thy house.

01:05:32.860 --> 01:05:38.260
So I love the word saved, and that's kind of what I'm going to do here, is kind of go

01:05:38.260 --> 01:05:41.340
through a bunch of examples of the word saved.

01:05:41.340 --> 01:05:43.960
So here it says, hey, what should I do to be saved?

01:05:43.960 --> 01:05:47.020
And then they tell them, believe, and you're going to be saved.

01:05:47.020 --> 01:05:51.700
So here's a definition.

01:05:52.100 --> 01:06:00.220
from Google AI. It says, in biblical and theological terms, saved, meaning to rescue, deliver, or

01:06:00.220 --> 01:06:05.860
make whole, is defined as the complete and permanent deliverance of a person from the

01:06:05.860 --> 01:06:13.820
power, penalty, and ultimate presence of sin through faith in Jesus Christ. So hey, AI

01:06:13.820 --> 01:06:14.820
AI even knows, right?

01:06:14.820 --> 01:06:16.100
I mean, AI's on fire.

01:06:16.100 --> 01:06:18.740
Like if AI, like...

01:06:19.400 --> 01:06:20.840
AI would know how to be saved.

01:06:20.840 --> 01:06:25.520
Like, AI could go to heaven if it had a soul, right?

01:06:25.520 --> 01:06:28.520
So I love Google AI.

01:06:28.520 --> 01:06:31.160
The sermon's sponsored by Gemini.

01:06:31.200 --> 01:06:35.880
You guys don't have to turn to these so you know them by heart, but hey, it says if you're

01:06:35.880 --> 01:06:37.760
saved, it's over, right?

01:06:37.760 --> 01:06:42.760
You're rescued, you're delivered, you're made whole, it's permanent deliverance.

01:06:42.760 --> 01:06:46.640
So these verses are so clear, it says in Romans 10, 9, it says that,

01:06:46.640 --> 01:06:50.640
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine

01:06:50.640 --> 01:06:54.600
heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

01:06:54.600 --> 01:06:56.360
And verse 13 says,

01:06:56.360 --> 01:06:58.560
for whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord

01:06:58.560 --> 01:06:59.200
shall be saved.

01:06:59.200 --> 01:07:07.200
You guys can flip over to John 4 and it says in Acts 11, 14 it says,

01:07:07.200 --> 01:07:11.140
as, Who shall tell thee words whereby thou...

01:07:12.200 --> 01:07:17.240
all thy house shall be saved." Titus 3.5 it says, not by works of

01:07:17.240 --> 01:07:22.100
righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us by

01:07:22.100 --> 01:07:28.340
the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Ephesians 2.8 it says,

01:07:28.340 --> 01:07:33.960
for by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves it is the gift

01:07:33.960 --> 01:07:35.900
of God. So

01:07:36.800 --> 01:07:45.120
Here it says regular verbs, you add ed to show an action happened in the past.

01:07:45.120 --> 01:07:50.440
For example, walk becomes walked and save becomes saved.

01:07:50.440 --> 01:07:55.080
So hey, AI says it again, hey, when you add an ed at the end of a word, it means it's

01:07:55.080 --> 01:07:56.240
already happened in the past.

01:07:56.240 --> 01:07:59.120
If something happened in the past, it can't change.

01:07:59.120 --> 01:08:00.680
So when God says you're saved.

01:08:00.900 --> 01:08:05.580
Just like you walk, you walked, you already walked, you can't like not walk.

01:08:05.580 --> 01:08:10.180
If I said, hey I walked from here to the door, like there's nothing I can do to change that.

01:08:10.180 --> 01:08:11.380
I already walked there, right?

01:08:11.380 --> 01:08:12.860
I can't time travel.

01:08:12.860 --> 01:08:16.580
So if I become saved, it means I'm already saved, it can't change.

01:08:16.580 --> 01:08:18.340
So all these verses are just so clear.

01:08:18.340 --> 01:08:21.700
You're saved, saved, and then you can do the same thing with everlasting life, you can

01:08:21.700 --> 01:08:23.540
do the same thing with eternal life.

01:08:23.540 --> 01:08:28.100
There's just tons of different ways you can use it, but when it's saved, it's already

01:08:28.100 --> 01:08:28.900
done.

01:08:28.900 --> 01:08:30.300
I mean, it's just so clear.

01:08:30.300 --> 01:08:33.460
And then in John 4.13, it says,

01:08:33.460 --> 01:08:35.940
Jesus answered and said unto her,

01:08:35.940 --> 01:08:40.300
whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again,

01:08:40.300 --> 01:08:44.260
but whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him

01:08:44.260 --> 01:08:48.220
shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him

01:08:48.220 --> 01:08:51.500
shall be in him a well of water

01:08:51.500 --> 01:08:54.180
springing up into everlasting life.

01:08:54.180 --> 01:08:55.140
So hey.

01:08:55.600 --> 01:09:00.000
The Bible is clear, hey, once you drink of that water that Jesus gives, it's everlasting life,

01:09:00.000 --> 01:09:04.240
because you're saved, it's everlasting, it's eternal, and it never ends.

01:09:05.360 --> 01:09:11.200
You guys can flip over to Matthew chapter 19.

01:09:20.300 --> 01:09:24.900
So, the next point, I'm going to skip some verses I had for sake of time, but the next

01:09:24.900 --> 01:09:27.300
point is just money makes people less receptive.

01:09:27.300 --> 01:09:31.460
So, obviously money, like I said, it's good when you're a soul winner and you're using

01:09:31.460 --> 01:09:37.100
it for the good things and you're using it to go on mission trips, preach the gospel,

01:09:37.100 --> 01:09:41.140
but if you're not saved or you're using it for bad things, money can make you not go

01:09:41.140 --> 01:09:48.300
to heaven because when you have a lot of money, you're less interested in the things of God.

01:09:48.300 --> 01:09:54.200
And the Bible makes it clear in Revelation chapter 3 verse 17 it says, Because thou sayest

01:09:54.200 --> 01:09:59.780
I am rich and increased with goods, and I have need of nothing, and knowest not that

01:09:59.780 --> 01:10:04.680
thou art wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked.

01:10:04.680 --> 01:10:08.140
So hey, when you're rich, you have lots of goods, you might not know.

01:10:08.800 --> 01:10:12.280
things that you should write that I mean it'd be important to know that you're

01:10:12.280 --> 01:10:15.800
naked you're miserable right like all the stuff but when you have lots of

01:10:15.800 --> 01:10:21.980
money you don't even realize that so Barbados and some of the reasons some

01:10:21.980 --> 01:10:25.120
people thought it was less receptive was they thought they said it was one of the

01:10:25.120 --> 01:10:29.120
wealthiest in the Caribbean so I looked it up and it says Barbados is widely

01:10:29.120 --> 01:10:31.100
recognized as the wealthiest

01:10:31.300 --> 01:10:35.900
most developed and most stable nation in the East Caribbean.

01:10:35.900 --> 01:10:40.300
So Barbados consistently ranks among the highest in the Caribbean

01:10:40.300 --> 01:10:43.100
on the UN's Human Development Index,

01:10:43.100 --> 01:10:49.100
which measures overall wealth, literacy, life expectancy, and living standards.

01:10:49.100 --> 01:10:50.300
And, uh...

01:10:50.600 --> 01:10:54.320
their dollar is actually really good. Like for the US to Philippine money it's

01:10:54.320 --> 01:10:57.340
one dollar US is sixty dollars in the Philippines

01:10:57.340 --> 01:11:00.800
whereas in Barbados one dollar US is only two dollars.

01:11:01.200 --> 01:11:07.000
in Barbados is actually very close and it's actually been the same since 1975.

01:11:07.000 --> 01:11:12.400
Whereas the Canadian dollar fluctuates. Right now, $1.00 USD is like...

01:11:12.400 --> 01:11:17.200
or would be more. But I guess $1.00 Canadian is 70 cents USD.

01:11:17.200 --> 01:11:20.100
So I guess $1.00 USD is like $1.30 Canadian.

01:11:20.100 --> 01:11:22.600
So, you know, Barbados is actually really...

01:11:23.300 --> 01:11:26.000
Close to that, I mean, obviously a little bit less,

01:11:26.000 --> 01:11:27.600
but for a small little island,

01:11:27.600 --> 01:11:29.300
that's actually really, really good.

01:11:29.300 --> 01:11:32.100
So they're actually pretty smart, too.

01:11:32.100 --> 01:11:34.300
In Barbados, it says...

01:11:34.500 --> 01:11:44.500
In Barbados has historically supported robust public systems, including a 99% adult literacy rate,

01:11:44.500 --> 01:11:49.500
strong healthcare coverage, and well-maintained public infrastructure.

01:11:49.500 --> 01:11:55.500
So you know, 99% literacy rate is good, because I don't even know if you went down south like Mississippi or Alabama or something,

01:11:55.500 --> 01:11:57.500
like it probably wouldn't be that good.

01:11:57.500 --> 01:12:02.460
But for a small, little, tiny island, all it did up was only like 166 miles.

01:12:02.500 --> 01:12:03.940
he drove around the whole island.

01:12:03.940 --> 01:12:06.220
So like three hour drive with no traffic

01:12:06.220 --> 01:12:07.580
to get all the way around.

01:12:08.700 --> 01:12:12.060
So, you know, their economy's really good.

01:12:12.060 --> 01:12:14.180
And there was actually some people I got saved

01:12:14.180 --> 01:12:17.480
that were there and they were from Jamaica

01:12:17.480 --> 01:12:19.100
and they went there just for work.

01:12:19.100 --> 01:12:22.300
So, you know, there's a guy at the mall that got saved

01:12:22.300 --> 01:12:24.580
and he told me he's from Jamaica

01:12:24.580 --> 01:12:25.660
and was there just to work,

01:12:25.660 --> 01:12:27.200
because it's a better economy.

01:12:27.200 --> 01:12:29.220
And, you know, he got saved.

01:12:29.220 --> 01:12:30.500
Whereas like Jamaica...

01:12:30.500 --> 01:12:32.840
The kids didn't take school nearly as serious,

01:12:32.840 --> 01:12:34.460
and maybe it's just that people in Barrios

01:12:34.460 --> 01:12:35.780
weren't interested, but you talk to people

01:12:35.780 --> 01:12:37.260
and they say, I'm late for class,

01:12:37.260 --> 01:12:39.180
or I gotta get to class, I'm not trying to talk.

01:12:39.180 --> 01:12:42.400
Whereas like Jamaica, you could hear the school starting

01:12:42.400 --> 01:12:44.420
and they'd be like, everybody to class or whatever,

01:12:44.420 --> 01:12:46.840
and they would just talk to you on the street.

01:12:46.840 --> 01:12:50.480
They don't care, all day there's kids walking around.

01:12:50.480 --> 01:12:53.100
It's just like, you always have soul-wanting opportunities

01:12:53.100 --> 01:12:56.600
if people aren't taking the school nearly that serious.

01:12:56.600 --> 01:12:58.500
Whereas here it seemed like they actually do.

01:12:58.500 --> 01:13:09.060
take it pretty serious. So, you guys are in Matthew 19, I believe, right? So, Matthew

01:13:09.060 --> 01:13:12.660
19, verse number 16, it says,

01:13:12.660 --> 01:13:20.260
And behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I

01:13:20.260 --> 01:13:22.960
may have eternal life?

01:13:22.960 --> 01:13:25.120
So here we see somebody.

01:13:25.500 --> 01:13:27.500
that kind of has a bad question, right?

01:13:27.500 --> 01:13:28.500
Because it says,

01:13:28.500 --> 01:13:31.500
Good Master, what good thing shall I do

01:13:31.500 --> 01:13:32.500
that I may have eternal life?

01:13:32.500 --> 01:13:34.500
So the question isn't like,

01:13:34.500 --> 01:13:35.500
what do I need to be saved?

01:13:35.500 --> 01:13:36.500
Like the other guy,

01:13:36.500 --> 01:13:38.500
this is asking like, what good thing?

01:13:38.500 --> 01:13:40.500
So he's thinking about his works, right?

01:13:40.500 --> 01:13:42.500
He's saying, hey, what good do I have to do

01:13:42.500 --> 01:13:43.500
to go to heaven?

01:13:43.500 --> 01:13:44.500
Right? He's not thinking like,

01:13:44.500 --> 01:13:46.500
hey, what must I need to be saved?

01:13:46.500 --> 01:13:48.500
He's like, hey, what's some good works I can do?

01:13:48.500 --> 01:13:51.400
So he's already got a bad mindset from the beginning.

01:13:51.600 --> 01:13:54.780
And we'll continue in verse number 17.

01:13:54.780 --> 01:13:57.520
It says, And he said unto them, Why callest thou me good?

01:13:57.520 --> 01:14:00.840
There is none good but one, that is God.

01:14:00.840 --> 01:14:04.100
But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

01:14:04.100 --> 01:14:05.640
He saith unto him, Which?

01:14:05.640 --> 01:14:10.760
Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not

01:14:10.760 --> 01:14:14.320
steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, honor thy father and thy mother.

01:14:15.000 --> 01:14:17.640
And thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

01:14:17.640 --> 01:14:20.040
And the young man saith unto him,

01:14:20.040 --> 01:14:22.600
All these things have I kept for my youth up.

01:14:22.600 --> 01:14:23.720
What lack I yet?

01:14:23.720 --> 01:14:25.480
So again, the guy at the beginning is asking,

01:14:25.480 --> 01:14:28.040
like, what good work can I do to go to heaven?

01:14:28.040 --> 01:14:30.920
And then Jesus is like, you need to, like, do all the stuff, right?

01:14:30.920 --> 01:14:33.560
Don't commit murder and to love your parents,

01:14:33.560 --> 01:14:35.240
love your neighbor as yourself.

01:14:35.240 --> 01:14:38.120
And then the guy still doesn't click and say, like,

01:14:38.120 --> 01:14:39.640
hey, like, I haven't done that.

01:14:39.640 --> 01:14:40.360
I've sinned.

01:14:40.360 --> 01:14:41.160
I'm not perfect.

01:14:41.160 --> 01:14:42.960
and you know.

01:14:43.000 --> 01:14:48.120
He says like hey, like I've done all that from my youth. It's obviously isn't true. It's like the same thing if you show somebody like

01:14:49.760 --> 01:14:51.000
Revelation

01:14:51.100 --> 01:14:55.120
And you're like, hey, all liars shall have their part in the lake which burned up a fire

01:14:55.120 --> 01:14:56.120
and brimstone.

01:14:56.120 --> 01:14:57.420
And they're like, I've never lied.

01:14:57.420 --> 01:14:58.420
It's like, what do you do?

01:14:58.420 --> 01:15:00.880
You're just like, all right, well, have a good one.

01:15:00.880 --> 01:15:02.440
You can't be saved at that point.

01:15:02.440 --> 01:15:07.900
So there's no point in Jesus continuing with them because he's already, step one is recognizing

01:15:07.900 --> 01:15:08.900
you've sinned.

01:15:08.900 --> 01:15:12.020
So if you can't get past step one, it's just a lost cause.

01:15:12.020 --> 01:15:16.980
So Jesus is trying to still get them to think, hey, you're not perfect, you've sinned.

01:15:16.980 --> 01:15:18.400
verse 21.

01:15:18.600 --> 01:15:24.640
It says, Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and

01:15:24.640 --> 01:15:29.080
give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven, and come and follow me.

01:15:29.600 --> 01:15:31.440
So, that's a big thing to do, right?

01:15:31.440 --> 01:15:34.760
I mean, you kind of read over it, but if you're rich and you have to sell everything that

01:15:34.760 --> 01:15:40.560
you have and you have to follow Jesus, who's obviously doing a lot of work, some hard work,

01:15:40.560 --> 01:15:43.920
and He's going to be crucified and people are going to be trying to kill the apostles

01:15:43.920 --> 01:15:45.360
soon and everything.

01:15:45.360 --> 01:15:48.080
So it's actually a lot of ask here.

01:15:48.080 --> 01:15:50.680
And the dude again could say, hey, I can't do that.

01:15:51.000 --> 01:15:54.000
What else can I do? Like, I'm a sinner, I'm not perfect.

01:15:54.000 --> 01:15:57.000
But instead of doing that, it says in verse 22, it says,

01:15:57.000 --> 01:16:02.000
But when the young man heard that, saying, he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

01:16:02.000 --> 01:16:07.000
So again, instead of saying, hey, I'm a sinner, I need somebody to save me, I can't do that,

01:16:07.000 --> 01:16:13.000
you know, like, that's too much to ask, instead he just goes away and cries.

01:16:13.000 --> 01:16:16.000
He's sorrowful, right? I mean, he's not going to get saved.

01:16:17.100 --> 01:16:20.000
So Jesus in verse 23 says,

01:16:20.000 --> 01:16:21.540
Then said Jesus unto his disciples,

01:16:21.540 --> 01:16:23.300
Verily I say unto you that a rich man

01:16:23.300 --> 01:16:26.440
Shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

01:16:26.440 --> 01:16:28.560
And again I say unto you it is easier

01:16:28.560 --> 01:16:31.360
For a camel to go through the eye of a needle

01:16:31.360 --> 01:16:34.500
Than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

01:16:36.140 --> 01:16:38.940
So hey, obviously, that's a...

01:16:39.100 --> 01:16:44.100
Hard saying right I mean to think that like a camel going through the eye of a needle is easier than a rich man

01:16:44.100 --> 01:16:48.420
To go to heaven so obviously being rich can be really bad if you're not saved

01:16:48.420 --> 01:16:54.000
I mean they could cost you to go to hell right I mean some rich people get so messed up like Trump

01:16:54.000 --> 01:16:56.540
It's just like you got a vote to go to heaven. I mean man

01:16:57.100 --> 01:17:02.700
You know you better guys better register to vote and you get five thousand think about you vote you get

01:17:03.060 --> 01:17:05.160
$5,000 and you get to go to heaven. I mean man

01:17:05.700 --> 01:17:07.160
Right? That's crazy.

01:17:07.160 --> 01:17:09.600
So better sign up to vote.

01:17:09.600 --> 01:17:14.700
So number five is the young generations want the truth.

01:17:14.700 --> 01:17:18.500
So obviously, you know, we know this a lot,

01:17:18.500 --> 01:17:19.500
going out soul-winding, right?

01:17:19.500 --> 01:17:21.300
I mean, the young people want to get saved.

01:17:21.300 --> 01:17:24.000
The only thing that kind of,

01:17:24.000 --> 01:17:25.100
and I haven't done it in a long time,

01:17:25.100 --> 01:17:26.700
but when I lived in Michigan...

01:17:26.900 --> 01:17:29.480
with Matt Powell's family,

01:17:29.480 --> 01:17:31.920
he used to go to these nursing homes all the time.

01:17:31.920 --> 01:17:33.780
So it's funny, because most older people

01:17:33.780 --> 01:17:35.760
don't want to get saved, especially at the door,

01:17:35.760 --> 01:17:36.860
but when they go to the nursing home,

01:17:36.860 --> 01:17:37.900
it's like the reverse.

01:17:37.900 --> 01:17:39.680
It's like they all want to get saved.

01:17:39.680 --> 01:17:41.760
So it's like, once they get to the nursing home,

01:17:41.760 --> 01:17:44.920
they're back at that receptive stage, like a circle.

01:17:44.920 --> 01:17:46.980
And we went to this nursing home,

01:17:46.980 --> 01:17:49.560
and it's the first time my brother ever went soul hunting.

01:17:49.560 --> 01:17:51.620
And we did five rooms.

01:17:52.000 --> 01:17:56.720
And then like Matt Paul's dad and mom did some other rooms and their brothers or whatever.

01:17:56.720 --> 01:18:00.720
But like, you know, my brother, every single room went to five of them and all of them got saved.

01:18:00.720 --> 01:18:05.200
We had five salvations and he was like, man, is it always like this? I was like, it's never like this.

01:18:06.080 --> 01:18:10.880
You know, but actually it was really good. But then once COVID happened, it was like,

01:18:11.440 --> 01:18:16.560
you couldn't get in anymore. So I stopped, stopped going. But it might be worth trying now,

01:18:16.560 --> 01:18:19.920
you know, the way is like you call the nursing home and like, hey, we're the church. Like we just

01:18:20.000 --> 01:18:24.500
talk to the old people and give them some Bible stuff and usually they're just like,

01:18:24.500 --> 01:18:28.640
yeah come on in. So it's kind of nice like he would just call and get us in.

01:18:30.500 --> 01:18:36.100
They were really, really receptive, but overall, young people are the most receptive worldwide.

01:18:36.100 --> 01:18:40.580
I mean, they just want to know the truth, and they really want to get saved, and especially in

01:18:40.580 --> 01:18:45.860
these other countries. It seems like the older generations have already turned their back against

01:18:45.860 --> 01:18:50.180
God. They're already going down the Roman's one or something. They don't want to hear nothing.

01:18:50.180 --> 01:18:53.620
They don't care. They're not interested, but the young people want to know, and they're

01:18:53.620 --> 01:18:58.260
super interested. They want to get saved, and they love hearing the truth. So if you guys have

01:18:58.500 --> 01:19:01.140
over to Psalms chapter 78.

01:19:06.600 --> 01:19:12.840
And obviously even in our movement and things, you know, like, it's all young people, right?

01:19:12.840 --> 01:19:15.800
You go to these mission trips and most of the people there are younger.

01:19:15.800 --> 01:19:20.280
They're, you know, in their 20s, 30s, and they're doing great works.

01:19:20.280 --> 01:19:23.880
And like, it's kind of nice to see some people have like...

01:19:24.100 --> 01:19:30.780
Brother Marcel at steadfast like he has two kids that he brought with him on the mission trip and I can't remember their age

01:19:30.780 --> 01:19:34.020
But they're pretty young and they went like at the school

01:19:34.020 --> 01:19:37.020
We sit outside but like they're so young and small like that baby

01:19:37.020 --> 01:19:41.600
Just kind of like snuck into the gate and like they're getting people say they're trying to heal saved in the school and they had

01:19:41.600 --> 01:19:44.720
Their first salivations on the mission trips is cool

01:19:44.720 --> 01:19:47.360
It's like they're like this tall again people say it and stuff

01:19:47.360 --> 01:19:52.100
They're like sneaking in the school and I was like if you could get them the same uniform that the students have

01:19:52.100 --> 01:19:53.860
like he'd get like boots on the ground,

01:19:53.860 --> 01:19:55.520
like he could just put him in the uniform,

01:19:55.520 --> 01:19:57.440
send him on the bus or whatever,

01:19:57.440 --> 01:19:59.860
and just like undercover like soul running all day,

01:19:59.860 --> 01:20:01.740
like at the school getting people saved.

01:20:01.740 --> 01:20:04.980
So once my baby gets older, that's what I'll do.

01:20:04.980 --> 01:20:07.620
I'll get her like the uniform they have in the Philippines,

01:20:07.620 --> 01:20:08.620
but all right, like your job,

01:20:08.620 --> 01:20:10.660
we're dropping you off at a different school every day

01:20:10.660 --> 01:20:12.860
and just go in the school and just get people saved

01:20:12.860 --> 01:20:15.340
and then come back or whatever, right?

01:20:15.340 --> 01:20:18.360
Just a joke, but it is, it is encouraging to see that

01:20:18.360 --> 01:20:20.100
like people, young people, even.

01:20:20.100 --> 01:20:26.500
even young teenagers can just do great works for God just right off the bat.

01:20:26.500 --> 01:20:30.060
Whereas in the old IB, a lot of them are getting older, right?

01:20:30.060 --> 01:20:32.700
A lot of them are boomers, they're not doing the work, they're not doing soul learning

01:20:32.700 --> 01:20:33.700
because they're just like...

01:20:33.700 --> 01:20:35.700
We went to one church and it was massive.

01:20:35.700 --> 01:20:39.400
I mean, why have we visited like a random church in a...

01:20:39.900 --> 01:20:47.820
our area and there's this massive church versus like rows of big you know like like say like this

01:20:47.820 --> 01:20:53.580
long or whatever and it was like 80 rows back you'd probably feel like 400 people in the church

01:20:53.580 --> 01:20:58.780
and we're sitting there there's like no one there and there was like six people and they were all

01:20:58.780 --> 01:21:00.500
like in their 80s

01:21:00.500 --> 01:21:02.500
That was all they had left.

01:21:02.500 --> 01:21:07.500
That church at one point probably had most of those things filled, but everybody just died off.

01:21:07.500 --> 01:21:12.500
They're not doing any work because they're all old and they never got replenished.

01:21:12.500 --> 01:21:17.500
But a lot of smaller old IV churches are like that, where it's just a lot of old people.

01:21:17.500 --> 01:21:22.500
It's sad that once they're gone, the church is just gone because no one's there.

01:21:22.500 --> 01:21:26.660
this one church, we were given a building, this pastor...

01:21:28.200 --> 01:21:31.760
had some stuff happen and he left the church,

01:21:31.760 --> 01:21:34.000
or we all kind of broke away from the church

01:21:34.000 --> 01:21:35.520
and we were meeting at a park and stuff

01:21:35.520 --> 01:21:38.120
because there was a crazy new IFB guy

01:21:38.120 --> 01:21:40.880
that pretty much took over the church

01:21:40.880 --> 01:21:42.800
and showed up at the meeting with this big gun

01:21:42.800 --> 01:21:44.680
and this huge clip coming out the back

01:21:44.680 --> 01:21:46.880
and was like, you guys are greedy, a filthy lucre,

01:21:46.880 --> 01:21:48.960
and me and the pastor or whatever,

01:21:48.960 --> 01:21:50.560
even though he wasn't taking a paycheck,

01:21:50.560 --> 01:21:52.120
and obviously I didn't get anything.

01:21:52.120 --> 01:21:53.260
But anyway, he took over the church,

01:21:53.260 --> 01:21:54.760
so we were just meeting at parks,

01:21:54.760 --> 01:21:56.040
and then this old,

01:21:56.040 --> 01:21:56.200
I

01:21:56.200 --> 01:22:02.040
B church had like six members that were all like super old and they just gave us a free building and

01:22:02.760 --> 01:22:04.980
We just like merged the churches or whatever

01:22:04.980 --> 01:22:09.260
So like it's kind of sad these churches at one time had a lot of people but you know

01:22:09.260 --> 01:22:14.800
The the older generations obviously dying off or you know, I don't know if they they quit church or whatever

01:22:14.800 --> 01:22:19.340
But the young people need to step up and take that place and the Bible

01:22:19.900 --> 01:22:25.660
puts a big emphasis on this younger generation in Psalm 78 verse 1. It says,

01:22:25.660 --> 01:22:31.820
Give ear, O my people, to my law, Incline your ears to the words of my mouth.

01:22:32.460 --> 01:22:37.260
I will open my mouth in a parable, I will utter dark sayings of old,

01:22:38.380 --> 01:22:42.380
which we have heard and known, and our fathers have told us,

01:22:42.380 --> 01:22:47.380
Will we not hide them from their children?

01:22:48.100 --> 01:22:55.400
showing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord and his strength and his wonderful works that he hath done.

01:22:55.400 --> 01:22:59.900
For he established a testimony in Jacob and appointed a law in Israel,

01:22:59.900 --> 01:23:05.400
which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children,

01:23:05.400 --> 01:23:10.800
that the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born.

01:23:11.100 --> 01:23:20.900
who should arise and declare them to their children that they might set their hope in God and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments."

01:23:20.900 --> 01:23:28.800
So hey, the Bible's making a great point, right? That, hey, you need to be showing the generation to come, you need to be teaching things to the children.

01:23:28.800 --> 01:23:34.200
And it's kind of sad, you know, it seems like the boomer generation, the older generations, like, didn't do that.

01:23:34.200 --> 01:23:39.000
And that's kind of why, like, a lot of, at least in my family, it's like no one ever even really talked about God, like...

01:23:39.100 --> 01:23:44.700
I knew Jesus existed and stuff, but it wasn't like an emphasis on teaching the Word of God

01:23:44.700 --> 01:23:47.020
and all these things.

01:23:47.020 --> 01:23:51.960
You see the statistics about how many people used to go to church, and then now, it has

01:23:51.960 --> 01:23:55.960
to be just a big portion of that, is just the parents not passing it down, like the

01:23:55.960 --> 01:23:59.100
Bible commands of, you need to teach your children.

01:23:59.100 --> 01:24:03.820
And obviously the public schools, what people did is drop your kids off at the public school

01:24:03.820 --> 01:24:04.420
and they teach them.

01:24:05.000 --> 01:24:09.880
But I mean the Bible wants you to teach your kids about God, teach other people's kids

01:24:09.880 --> 01:24:13.760
like hey when we go preach the gospel we're teaching other people's kids about God and

01:24:13.760 --> 01:24:20.440
saying hey like it's believed, it's a free gift and get in church, watch these documentaries

01:24:20.440 --> 01:24:23.320
and do great works for God.

01:24:23.320 --> 01:24:26.240
So if you guys have flipped over to 2 Kings chapter 12.

01:24:31.300 --> 01:24:33.700
So I'm going to read from Numbers 14 quick.

01:24:33.700 --> 01:24:36.260
It says, in verse 29, you have to turn there,

01:24:36.260 --> 01:24:39.940
it says, your carcasses shall fall in this wilderness,

01:24:39.940 --> 01:24:42.300
and all that were numbered of you

01:24:42.300 --> 01:24:46.540
according to your whole number from 20 years old and upward,

01:24:46.540 --> 01:24:48.580
which have murmured against me.

01:24:48.580 --> 01:24:51.580
So here, God's saying, hey, anybody

01:24:52.200 --> 01:24:56.360
20 years old and upward isn't going to make it in the promised land.

01:24:56.360 --> 01:25:01.400
So God's saying, hey, the older generation, you guys are punished, you guys are done,

01:25:01.400 --> 01:25:04.100
you guys aren't going to inherit the promises.

01:25:04.100 --> 01:25:07.640
And God is dealing with this old generation.

01:25:07.640 --> 01:25:12.920
It says in verse 30, doubtless, ye shall not come into the land concerning which I swear

01:25:12.920 --> 01:25:18.660
to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephaniah and Joshua the son of Nun,

01:25:18.660 --> 01:25:20.180
your little ones with

01:25:20.200 --> 01:25:26.900
which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the land which

01:25:26.900 --> 01:25:28.640
ye have despised.

01:25:28.640 --> 01:25:33.040
But as for you, your carcasses shall fall in the wilderness."

01:25:33.040 --> 01:25:38.880
So hey, even great people like Moses didn't get to go to the promised land, and God said,

01:25:38.880 --> 01:25:41.760
hey, we're going to start over, we're going to have a clean slate.

01:25:41.760 --> 01:25:45.580
And it's crazy that the way God's talking to these older people, it says, your carcasses

01:25:45.580 --> 01:25:47.680
shall fall in the wilderness.

01:25:47.680 --> 01:25:48.180
It says.

01:25:48.200 --> 01:25:51.980
your little ones are going to get it but the land that you guys despise and

01:25:51.980 --> 01:25:55.680
that's a bad punishment right I mean you don't want to be in that group of God

01:25:55.680 --> 01:26:01.220
judging a whole generation and you know a lot of the older people in America

01:26:01.220 --> 01:26:04.440
seem like they're falling to this where like they just like especially with

01:26:04.440 --> 01:26:08.080
Trump you watch these crowds of him just saying the most blasphemous things

01:26:08.080 --> 01:26:12.960
there's just these boomers just like praising and clapping and like you know

01:26:12.960 --> 01:26:16.200
just like going nuts for Trump and it's like man you

01:26:16.200 --> 01:26:20.680
You guys are in danger of like, you guys are the ones bringing in the judgment of the Muslim

01:26:20.680 --> 01:26:21.680
hordes.

01:26:21.680 --> 01:26:23.400
I mean, you know, it's pretty easy to see.

01:26:23.400 --> 01:26:27.280
Like you read the Bible and you see the punishments that God has, and then you see the Muslim

01:26:27.280 --> 01:26:31.080
hordes coming in and these like Trump people are like, Trump's going to deport all the

01:26:31.080 --> 01:26:32.080
Muslims.

01:26:32.080 --> 01:26:37.360
And it's like, no, because God's judging you because you guys are too stupid to see

01:26:37.360 --> 01:26:42.800
that you turned your back on God and God's bringing that judgment of these, these Muslim

01:26:42.800 --> 01:26:44.160
hordes on you.

01:26:44.200 --> 01:26:53.540
you know, Trump is not going to save you. So in 2 Kings 12, verse number 6, it says,

01:26:53.540 --> 01:26:59.620
But it was so that in the three and twentieth year of King Josiah the priest

01:26:59.620 --> 01:27:02.700
had not repaired the breaches of the house.

01:27:02.900 --> 01:27:08.500
Then King Josiah called for Jehoiada the priest and the other priests, and said unto them,

01:27:08.500 --> 01:27:11.620
Why repair ye not the breaches of the house?

01:27:11.620 --> 01:27:16.760
Now therefore receive no more money of your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches

01:27:16.760 --> 01:27:18.140
of the house."

01:27:18.140 --> 01:27:23.680
So you know the old generation, even good guys like Jehoiada, you know, he allowed there

01:27:23.680 --> 01:27:26.620
to be breaches in the house of God, and the young guy...

01:27:27.100 --> 01:27:30.400
is having to say, hey, we need to fix the breaches.

01:27:30.400 --> 01:27:33.700
We need to get God's house in order.

01:27:33.700 --> 01:27:35.800
And, you know, obviously today...

01:27:35.900 --> 01:27:38.540
you know, the boomers have breaches all over the country

01:27:38.540 --> 01:27:41.100
or the country falling apart because they keep voting in

01:27:41.100 --> 01:27:44.140
just the stupidest pro-Israel people.

01:27:44.140 --> 01:27:46.380
And the same thing in the House of God.

01:27:46.380 --> 01:27:49.940
You have just all these old people and these preachers

01:27:49.940 --> 01:27:52.140
and a lot of the younger people too

01:27:52.140 --> 01:27:56.540
that they've allowed to have these fun centers

01:27:56.540 --> 01:27:59.740
and these pastors that are just lying and making up stuff.

01:27:59.740 --> 01:28:02.340
And there needs to be that young generation to come in

01:28:02.340 --> 01:28:03.900
and to repair the breaches of the House.

01:28:03.900 --> 01:28:08.940
of God and say, hey, we need to get back to the right Bible, the right doctrine, we need

01:28:08.940 --> 01:28:11.060
to preach the right things.

01:28:11.060 --> 01:28:13.500
And it's not just in America, it's all over the world.

01:28:13.500 --> 01:28:17.700
You go to every single country, you go to the Philippines and the Baptists, it's all

01:28:17.700 --> 01:28:21.300
repent of your sins and they're preaching false gospels.

01:28:21.300 --> 01:28:22.800
You know, it's sad because...

01:28:22.900 --> 01:28:25.500
People in the past have laid down a good foundation.

01:28:25.500 --> 01:28:28.300
There needs to be that young generation that comes in and says,

01:28:28.300 --> 01:28:32.900
Hey, we're going to repair the breaches that are everywhere, right?

01:28:32.900 --> 01:28:37.700
I mean, it seems like there's too much to even think that you could fix.

01:28:37.700 --> 01:28:42.900
But at the same time, you know, God could just wipe away a whole generation like he did with Israel.

01:28:42.900 --> 01:28:46.600
And you start from scratch and say, Hey, you guys can inherit the promised land.

01:28:46.600 --> 01:28:50.900
If you know, if there's enough people going out soul winning and doing great works for God, I don't see why.

01:28:50.900 --> 01:28:55.300
God couldn't do that for us and say hey you know we're not going to bring in the

01:28:55.300 --> 01:29:00.500
socialism from you know Trump or Memdani I mean both of them are socialists we're

01:29:00.500 --> 01:29:03.820
going to have some good people because you guys are doing good work and I don't

01:29:03.820 --> 01:29:08.000
want you guys to not be able to go on mission trips and to do things so you

01:29:08.000 --> 01:29:13.300
know we're gonna I'm gonna allow you to have prosperity until you know we die or

01:29:13.300 --> 01:29:15.700
whatever so you know it's not necessarily that

01:29:16.000 --> 01:29:20.480
things could just keep getting worse and worse if you live right. I mean the Bible is super clear,

01:29:20.480 --> 01:29:24.640
right? The Bible says, hey, if my people shall humble themselves, you know, God's going to heal

01:29:24.640 --> 01:29:29.520
your land, right? I mean, if we all live right and we sow in and do the right things, there's no reason

01:29:29.520 --> 01:29:34.880
that God couldn't bless our state, our city, our country, or, you know, maybe it's not America,

01:29:34.880 --> 01:29:39.200
but maybe God, you know, turns everybody in the Philippines just getting saved. Maybe the

01:29:39.200 --> 01:29:42.720
the Philippines, we're all going to go and just move there and start churches or you

01:29:42.720 --> 01:29:44.000
know, Pastor Shelley, I think.

01:29:44.000 --> 01:29:48.440
says Bahamas, right? I mean, not necessarily that America has to be, but God could allow

01:29:48.440 --> 01:29:53.320
us to have a certain place that we can go and prosper, you know, and hopefully it's

01:29:53.320 --> 01:29:56.920
America because, you know, I mean, I already live here so I don't really want to necessarily

01:29:56.920 --> 01:30:03.640
move everything, but hey, Philippines is one, America is one A and Philippines is one B,

01:30:03.640 --> 01:30:09.720
so you know, if God allows the Philippines to be the place to go, but you know, the thing

01:30:09.720 --> 01:30:11.880
The thing is, if wherever you want to be...

01:30:12.000 --> 01:30:17.880
You just want to reach people and to change that area because the more people had a right to that area the better chance

01:30:18.120 --> 01:30:21.200
That God's gonna let it prosper right? I mean if you allow

01:30:21.720 --> 01:30:26.000
Indiana to become like California then you know it's not gonna prosper

01:30:26.000 --> 01:30:29.480
But if you go so winning and give people save and teach people the truth

01:30:29.680 --> 01:30:37.240
You know God could bless Indiana especially in America like just because America goes bad doesn't necessarily mean every state has to go bad because

01:30:37.720 --> 01:30:40.000
Obviously, you know different states are on different levels

01:30:40.000 --> 01:30:45.320
and you know the more work that we do the better chance our area can be good

01:30:45.320 --> 01:30:49.000
right so obviously if you get everybody saved in your area you don't have to

01:30:49.000 --> 01:30:52.520
worry about your area being Sodom and Gomorrah because once you're saved you

01:30:52.520 --> 01:30:56.880
can't be a refurbished right so we'll close with a word of prayer thank you

01:30:56.880 --> 01:30:58.000
Lord for

01:30:58.100 --> 01:31:05.100
A great day in church. Thank you for allowing us to have great preaching and great leadership

01:31:05.220 --> 01:31:11.660
to keep us going strong and please keep us safe as we travel and just continue to let

01:31:11.660 --> 01:31:14.860
us do great works for you throughout the rest of the year. We love you and thank you and

01:31:14.860 --> 01:31:16.020
in Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

01:31:19.400 --> 01:31:21.400
Alright, amen.

01:31:21.400 --> 01:31:24.400
Last song is going to be song 392.

01:31:24.400 --> 01:31:27.400
Song 392 in your hymn books.

01:31:27.400 --> 01:31:29.400
A soul winner for Jesus.

01:31:29.400 --> 01:31:31.400
Song 392.

01:31:33.400 --> 01:31:35.400
On the first, 392.

01:31:40.200 --> 01:31:50.440
I want to be a soul winner for Jesus every day. He does so much for me.

01:31:50.440 --> 01:32:00.840
I want to aid the lost sinner to leave his erring way and be from bondage free.

01:32:00.840 --> 01:32:08.200
A soul winner for Jesus. A soul.

01:32:08.200 --> 01:32:25.160
winner for Jesus oh let me be each day a soul winner for Jesus a soul winner for

01:32:25.160 --> 01:32:36.160
Jesus he's done so much for me I want to be a soul winner and bring the

01:32:36.200 --> 01:32:46.080
laws to Christ that they His grace may know. I want to live for Christ ever and

01:32:46.080 --> 01:33:01.240
do His blessed will because He loves me so. A soul winner for Jesus. A soul winner

01:33:01.240 --> 01:33:04.200
for Jesus. Oh

01:33:04.200 --> 01:33:19.080
Let me be each day a soul winner for Jesus, a soul winner for Jesus.

01:33:19.080 --> 01:33:24.360
He's done so much for me.

01:33:24.360 --> 01:33:32.120
I want to be a soul winner till Jesus calls for me to lay my birth.

01:33:32.200 --> 01:33:45.400
I want to hear Him say, Servant, you've gathered many sheep, receive a story crown.

01:33:45.400 --> 01:34:00.200
A soul winner for Jesus, a soul winner for Jesus, oh, let me be today.

01:34:00.200 --> 01:34:16.900
A soul winner for Jesus, a soul winner for Jesus, He's done so much for me.

01:34:16.900 --> 01:34:17.900
Alright great singing.

01:34:20.200 --> 01:34:24.920
Alright, great sermon and this is type of the missionary, you know, report I want you here, right?

01:34:25.320 --> 01:34:29.240
Not that just, you know, help them paint their wall and have no results. So

01:34:29.880 --> 01:34:34.200
By the way, you know people don't have to hold any position title to do great works for God and you know

01:34:34.360 --> 01:34:39.500
We love DIY missions right do it do it yourself. And if you have any, you know mission ideas

01:34:40.200 --> 01:34:45.560
For example, Brother Brad went to the Philippines last year and we made him a specialized invite

01:34:45.560 --> 01:34:52.040
just for the Philippines. So let me know, maybe we can help out as a church. If the finance allow, we...

01:34:53.300 --> 01:34:55.500
We may even buy a plane ticket or whatever.

01:34:55.500 --> 01:34:57.220
So we'll do whatever we can.

01:34:57.220 --> 01:35:00.460
So if you ever want to go on a mission trip somewhere else,

01:35:00.460 --> 01:35:01.340
just let me know.

01:35:01.340 --> 01:35:04.300
We'll see how I can do to help you guys out.

01:35:04.300 --> 01:35:08.140
So yeah, great Sunday, and praise God for the salvation,

01:35:08.140 --> 01:35:10.900
and praise God for the 1,000 salvations in Barbados.

01:35:10.900 --> 01:35:12.600
And with that being said, let's pray.

01:35:12.600 --> 01:35:13.900
Thank you all for a great Sunday,

01:35:13.900 --> 01:35:16.380
and thank you for just souls being saved,

01:35:16.380 --> 01:35:18.060
and thank you for our salvation.

01:35:18.060 --> 01:35:21.300
We pray you'll keep motivating us to do great works for you.

01:35:21.300 --> 01:35:23.200
I pray this in Jesus name, amen.
