So let me open up my Bible. 26:12.100 --> 26:14.220 And we're in Proverbs too. 26:14.220 --> 26:16.340 My sermon title is The Strange Woman. 26:16.340 --> 26:19.980 And my, you know, the Bible talks a lot about the strange woman, especially in Proverbs, 26:19.980 --> 26:20.980 right? 26:20.980 --> 26:21.980 It's all over Proverbs. 26:21.980 --> 26:26.420 It talks about, you know, men of God in the past in the Old Testament going after strange 26:26.420 --> 26:29.620 women and, you know, breaking up their lives, really. 26:29.620 --> 26:36.380 And it's a, it's a big problem in the world, in the past, and it's a big problem today, 26:36.380 --> 26:37.380 right? 26:37.380 --> 26:39.300 The strange woman is on every corner, the Bible says. 26:39.400 --> 26:48.400 I run into a strange woman all the time, out in, soul winning, out live, just being on my phone even, right? 26:48.400 --> 26:58.400 She's everywhere, right? And the Bible gives us wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to be able to fight the strange woman, right? 26:58.400 --> 27:06.200 To stay on the good path, right? And so she doesn't take us off that good path, right? 27:06.200 --> 27:11.080 And my first point is wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. 27:11.080 --> 27:17.080 Look at Proverbs chapter 1 verse 7, just the chapter before. 27:17.080 --> 27:22.800 Verse 7, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and 27:22.800 --> 27:24.280 instruction. 27:24.280 --> 27:30.320 So what we need to do in defense of the strange woman is to understand what knowledge is, 27:30.320 --> 27:32.000 where knowledge comes from, right? 27:32.400 --> 27:36.400 And the Bible says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. 27:36.400 --> 27:40.960 And in Proverbs 9-10, the Bible says the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and 27:40.960 --> 27:43.200 the knowledge of the holy is understanding. 27:43.200 --> 27:47.880 So the Bible tells us what knowledge, wisdom, and understanding is, and it's the fear of 27:47.880 --> 27:49.760 the Lord. 27:49.760 --> 27:51.200 And what is the fear of the Lord? 27:51.200 --> 27:53.820 The Bible describes that in Proverbs 8-13. 27:53.820 --> 27:58.440 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil, pride, and arrogance in the evil way and the forward 27:58.440 --> 27:59.920 mouth, do I hate? 28:00.400 --> 28:05.200 Right, so wisdom, knowledge, and understanding is the fear of the Lord, and the fear of the 28:05.200 --> 28:06.200 Lord is to hate evil. 28:06.200 --> 28:08.000 Right, so how do you know what to hate? 28:08.000 --> 28:09.280 Right, what is evil? 28:09.280 --> 28:11.600 Right, well it's whatever God hates. 28:11.600 --> 28:17.160 Right, whatever God hates, right, that's where wisdom, knowledge, and understanding 28:17.160 --> 28:18.160 comes from. 28:18.160 --> 28:21.360 Right, if you understand what God hates, right, you should hate it too. 28:22.000 --> 28:26.000 And that's a big problem in this world. 28:26.000 --> 28:29.000 And not just the world, but within Baptist churches. 28:29.000 --> 28:34.000 The what God hates is not preached in churches. 28:34.000 --> 28:37.000 And this is basic Christianity. 28:37.000 --> 28:42.000 This is Christianity 101, and this is not being preached. 28:42.000 --> 28:43.000 That's a huge problem. 28:43.000 --> 28:46.000 And that's why the strange woman is just rocking in the kills. 28:46.500 --> 28:50.600 Her kill streak is infinite at this point, right? 28:50.600 --> 28:55.240 Because Baptist preachers are not preaching wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of where 28:55.240 --> 28:56.400 they come from. 28:56.400 --> 29:00.120 Basic Christianity, basic, these are fundamental things, right? 29:00.120 --> 29:02.340 And we're a fundamental Baptist church, right? 29:02.340 --> 29:05.400 We should understand the fear of the Lord, we should understand what God hates, and we 29:05.400 --> 29:09.000 should be on God's side at all times, right? 29:09.000 --> 29:12.500 We should hate the things that God hates, right? 29:13.800 --> 29:17.800 And, well, how to understand what God hates, right? 29:17.800 --> 29:19.800 And then Proverbs 2, it gets into that. 29:19.800 --> 29:21.800 Look down in your Bibles, Chapter 2. 29:21.800 --> 29:26.800 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee. 29:26.800 --> 29:35.800 So, you need to, if you want to understand what God hates, you need to understand God's commandments. 29:35.800 --> 29:37.800 You need to be reading your Bible. 29:38.300 --> 29:43.020 And then verse 2, so that thou incline thy ear unto wisdom and apply thy heart to understanding. 29:43.020 --> 29:46.700 Yea, if thou cryest after knowledge and liftest up thy voice for understanding, 29:46.700 --> 29:50.940 look how it's like it's just back and forth, wisdom, knowledge, understanding, right? 29:50.940 --> 29:55.740 The knowledge of the holy is understanding, right? If you understand the holy, if you understand what 29:55.740 --> 30:00.700 God hates, right, you have that knowledge, right? And then the wisdom is applying that knowledge, 30:00.700 --> 30:04.620 right? If you have the knowledge, if you have the understanding and you don't apply it, 30:04.620 --> 30:05.820 that's not a wise thing to do. 30:06.300 --> 30:07.820 You're going to fall short. 30:07.820 --> 30:09.300 You're going to be taken off the good path. 30:09.300 --> 30:10.300 The strange woman's going to get you. 30:11.300 --> 30:13.060 And it's not just a strange woman. 30:13.060 --> 30:18.200 You can apply this to any aspect of the Bible, of life. 30:18.200 --> 30:23.420 You can rip this out and be like, hey, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding is a good thing. 30:23.420 --> 30:26.840 Understanding what God hates is a good thing for your marriage. 30:26.840 --> 30:32.180 So you can stay away from the things that would destroy your marriage or destroy your 30:32.180 --> 30:36.060 productivity of work, your reputation even. 30:36.060 --> 30:37.820 It's not just a strange woman. 30:37.820 --> 30:38.600 This is 30:39.000 --> 30:41.800 The strange woman is a huge problem, right? 30:41.800 --> 30:45.700 And there's defenses God gives us these things, 30:45.700 --> 30:47.040 and we should be reading our Bible 30:47.040 --> 30:48.500 to understand these things. 30:48.500 --> 30:51.820 And verse four, if thou seekest her as silver 30:51.820 --> 30:54.420 and searchest for her as for hid treasures, 30:54.420 --> 30:57.340 then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord 30:57.340 --> 30:58.860 and find the knowledge of God. 30:58.860 --> 31:00.780 For the Lord giveth wisdom out of his mouth, 31:00.780 --> 31:03.020 cometh knowledge and understanding, right? 31:03.020 --> 31:03.700 So. 31:03.900 --> 31:09.900 It comes from the Lord, right? Understanding what he hates, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding come from the Lord, right? 31:09.900 --> 31:16.400 It's not going to... and we find the Lord in the King James Bible, right? 31:16.400 --> 31:19.900 We should be reading our Bibles. I can't emphasize that enough, right? 31:19.900 --> 31:24.900 Because it's not preached, right? It's just not preached today, right? 31:24.900 --> 31:29.400 Maybe in New High Street churches, it is preached, right? It's very few. 31:30.100 --> 31:34.760 But then verse 7, he layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous, he is a buckler to them 31:34.760 --> 31:37.520 that walk uprightly. 31:37.520 --> 31:41.520 So you not only need to be reading the Bible, you need to understand the knowledge you need 31:41.520 --> 31:45.100 to apply in these things, but you actually need to be walking uprightly. 31:45.100 --> 31:51.000 And the only way to walk uprightly is to understand what God hates, and what God wants you to 31:51.000 --> 31:52.000 do. 31:52.000 --> 31:57.440 And the only way to do that is to be in your Bible, to be in church. 31:59.700 --> 32:03.140 Verse 8, He keepeth the paths of judgment and preserveeth the way of his saints. 32:03.140 --> 32:09.380 Then shall thou understand righteousness and judgment and equity, yea, every good path. 32:09.380 --> 32:12.820 Right? So you'll have good judgment. You'll understand bad judgment because you understand 32:12.820 --> 32:17.780 what God hates. Right? So by understanding what God hates, why bad judgment, right? You'll 32:17.780 --> 32:22.420 understand what good judgment is. Right? By looking at your rival, understanding these things, 32:22.420 --> 32:23.620 and applying these things. 32:24.500 --> 32:26.340 And then equity, right? 32:26.340 --> 32:29.340 You won't be a respecter of persons, right? 32:29.340 --> 32:31.740 You won't be deceived in that area, right? 32:31.740 --> 32:33.940 And that's a huge problem in our world today. 32:35.720 --> 32:37.940 Yay, every good path, right? 32:37.940 --> 32:39.200 And there's one... 32:39.400 --> 32:41.400 There's one way and truth in life, right? 32:41.400 --> 32:44.160 There's only one way to heaven, right? 32:44.160 --> 32:45.840 The Bible's talking about a physical path, right? 32:45.840 --> 32:48.360 Like, you know, walking the, staying on the good path 32:48.360 --> 32:50.040 as a Christian, as a saved person. 32:50.040 --> 32:51.920 But the way, the truth, and life 32:51.920 --> 32:53.800 is the Lord Jesus Christ, right? 32:53.800 --> 32:56.000 And every wrong path, right, 32:56.000 --> 32:59.440 is attacking that righteous way, that good way, right? 33:00.840 --> 33:03.400 And verse 10. 33:03.500 --> 33:10.000 When wisdom entereth in my heart, and knowledge is pleasant in my soul, discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee. 33:10.000 --> 33:14.000 And I'm preaching on the strange woman. All day every day, right? All day every day I got the Lord on my 36:30.720 --> 36:36.320 mind and I'm acknowledging him in everything that I'm doing, right? If I lean on my own understanding then I'm not going 36:41.600 --> 36:46.320 to have that knowledge, understanding, wisdom of what God hates.
