WEBVTT

00:40.000 --> 00:43.080
it is time to go ahead and get started with our service. It is our men's

00:43.080 --> 00:47.360
preaching night so of course we do our crowd pick songs. So we'll start with a

00:47.360 --> 00:51.760
single verse and then into our opening prayer. Anybody hands up if you have a

00:51.760 --> 00:56.800
song to pick. Tristan what you got? 452 is that what you said? Okay.

00:56.800 --> 00:59.700
Hymn number 452.

01:02.700 --> 01:07.700
All I need, I guess you didn't get enough of it this morning, 452.

01:07.700 --> 01:09.700
All I need.

01:17.600 --> 01:27.120
452 just that first verse all together Jesus Christ is made to me all I need

01:59.300 --> 02:02.860
Heavenly Father, we just thank you again for another opportunity to gather together this

02:02.860 --> 02:04.100
evening to hear from your Word.

02:04.100 --> 02:07.300
I pray that you'd be with us for the service, that you'd fill the preachers with your Spirit

02:07.300 --> 02:11.080
and help everything to be preached accurately and boldly from your Word.

02:11.080 --> 02:14.620
Also pray that you'd be with the salvations and the seeds that were planted this afternoon,

02:14.620 --> 02:17.480
as well as that you would just destroy the wicked that would try to prevent the gospel

02:17.480 --> 02:21.780
from going forth, Lord, and that you would continue to lead us to those that are receptive

02:21.780 --> 02:22.780
and long-hanging.

02:22.780 --> 02:24.460
These things we pray in Jesus' name, amen.

02:25.300 --> 02:28.620
for our well not for next when we have four verses now to pick

02:28.620 --> 02:32.500
I think you had your hand up a second ago didn't you? What you got? 100?

02:32.500 --> 02:35.500
Him number 100

02:42.600 --> 02:43.600
Day by day.

02:49.000 --> 02:52.000
day by day that first verse altogether.

02:52.600 --> 03:04.360
Day by day and with each passing moment, strength I find to meet my trials here.

03:04.360 --> 03:15.640
Trusting in my Father's wise bestowal, and I've no cause for worry or for fear.

03:15.640 --> 03:20.520
He whose heart is kind beyond all measure.

03:20.600 --> 03:31.920
gives unto each day what he deems best lovingly it's part of pain and pleasure

03:31.920 --> 03:38.080
mingling toil with peace and rest

03:38.080 --> 03:39.080
Miss Nikki?

03:39.080 --> 03:40.080
385?

03:40.080 --> 03:41.080
385?

03:41.080 --> 03:41.100
you

03:45.200 --> 03:47.000
Go ye into all the world?

03:50.600 --> 03:55.600
385, 385, go ye into all the world.

04:00.600 --> 04:03.600
on that first verse, all together.

04:03.600 --> 04:09.600
Far, far away, even darkness dwelling,

04:09.600 --> 04:11.300
Millions of

04:53.300 --> 05:00.300
4-0, 1-40, we have an anchor.

05:08.700 --> 05:10.700
140 on the first.

06:01.000 --> 06:02.740
Victory through grace, what number is that?

06:02.740 --> 06:05.360
Two something, I think.

06:05.360 --> 06:05.960
Let me find it.

06:05.960 --> 06:07.680
If someone finds it before I do, please shout the number.

06:07.680 --> 06:10.680
Victory through grace, 415.

06:10.680 --> 06:11.500
Thank you.

06:15.200 --> 06:21.440
415-415, victory through Gray's, and we will go to our announcements after this one.

06:27.400 --> 06:30.400
415 let's sing it out

10:29.500 --> 10:38.060
hands were up before I got up here. Haley what you got? Which one? 449? 449?

10:49.100 --> 10:50.940
Dwelling in Beulah land?

10:55.700 --> 11:00.700
449. We'll sing there that first verse.

11:00.700 --> 11:09.700
Far away the noise of strife upon my ear is falling.

11:09.700 --> 11:18.700
Then I know the sins of earth be set on every end.

11:19.500 --> 11:28.500
Doubt and fear and things of earth in vain to me are calling.

11:28.500 --> 11:36.500
None of thee shall move me from Beulah land.

11:37.100 --> 11:44.940
I'm living on the mountain underneath the cloudless sky.

11:44.940 --> 11:53.980
Praise God, I'm drinking at the fountain that never shall run dry.

11:53.980 --> 12:03.420
Oh yes, I'm feasting on the menna from a bountiful supply for-

12:04.300 --> 12:09.300
I am dwelling in Beulah Land.

12:11.740 --> 12:12.780
Bethany, what you got?

12:14.140 --> 12:17.780
176, okay, 176.

12:21.000 --> 12:23.000
Jesus loves the little children

12:24.600 --> 12:31.320
Especially when they're the ones picking all the hymns for the men's preaching night, I guess right 176 Jesus loves the little children

12:33.480 --> 12:35.940
We'll sing there just one time through

13:03.900 --> 13:13.260
244, okay? 244. And after this we'll have one more pick and then our indoor preaching 244.

13:16.600 --> 13:18.200
Amazing grace?

13:23.800 --> 13:25.800
244 all together.

13:25.800 --> 13:29.800
Amazing Grace!

14:05.100 --> 14:05.940
Number 40.

14:09.900 --> 14:13.180
Hymn number 40, no disappointment in heaven.

14:18.600 --> 14:20.600
Ham number 40.

14:27.000 --> 14:31.000
40 there on that first verse, sing it out.

14:31.000 --> 14:38.000
There's no disappointment in heaven,

14:38.000 --> 14:41.700
No weariness, sorrow,

16:20.100 --> 16:23.000
plates are being passed, Brother Alex will be preparing to preach.

17:07.100 --> 17:12.940
So to begin the sermon, I'd like for you guys to please go to Psalm 26, please.

17:13.100 --> 17:17.300
And then as you're flipping there, I just want to give a bit of context.

17:17.300 --> 17:20.980
As the morning sermon says, I'll just cover more of the general verse that we all would

17:20.980 --> 17:25.880
know is that when going through and being tempted, we all are familiar with the idea

17:25.880 --> 17:31.640
that we will all be tempted and have trials and persecutions and difficulties in our lives.

17:31.640 --> 17:36.940
And sometimes, as the Bible puts it, no one enjoys suffering at the time, but then afterwards

17:36.940 --> 17:39.280
it brings that peaceable fruit of righteousness.

17:39.280 --> 17:41.100
And so one of those things.

17:41.100 --> 17:43.980
that we always ask ourselves is like, how much longer?

17:43.980 --> 17:44.500
Right?

17:44.500 --> 17:46.580
In the Psalms, David's always writing like, hey,

17:46.580 --> 17:48.300
when will you deliver me?

17:48.300 --> 17:50.700
I hope I'm not going to be ashamed for my faith.

17:50.700 --> 17:52.500
And so one of the things I want to cover

17:52.500 --> 17:54.020
is what is here in verse 1.

17:54.020 --> 17:57.620
It says, judge me, O Lord, for I have walked in mine integrity.

17:57.620 --> 17:59.700
I have trusted also in the Lord.

17:59.700 --> 18:01.420
Therefore, I shall not slide.

18:01.420 --> 18:04.140
And so one of the questions that people tend to,

18:04.140 --> 18:07.220
when people backslide, the thing is like all of us

18:07.220 --> 18:08.620
fall short sometimes.

18:08.620 --> 18:09.100
but.

18:09.100 --> 18:14.140
The thing is, when we sin, when we fall short of the standards we have for ourselves, the

18:14.140 --> 18:19.700
most important skill I think that every Christian should develop and build on is the recovery

18:19.700 --> 18:22.740
after they've sinned.

18:22.740 --> 18:27.360
The thing is that God has made it already known to us, if you're saved, that He paid

18:27.360 --> 18:28.900
for all your sins.

18:28.900 --> 18:33.460
And Him not withholding His own Son from us, how much more would He offer for those who

18:33.460 --> 18:34.460
ask?

18:34.460 --> 18:37.060
One of those things is that we have a right and a privilege now that...

18:37.100 --> 18:41.600
being saved to go up to God and ask for mercy.

18:41.600 --> 18:43.840
And that although sometimes there are chastisers

18:43.840 --> 18:45.120
that come with it, the thing is,

18:45.120 --> 18:46.160
he's not gonna punish me with hell.

18:46.160 --> 18:49.840
So the question is, what sort of mindset should I have

18:49.840 --> 18:53.360
to be prepared for when I fall short

18:53.360 --> 18:55.960
and how to recover as quickly as possible?

18:55.960 --> 18:59.000
Because sometimes people sin, I guess a lot of people,

18:59.000 --> 19:01.200
a temptation for me is when I'm fasting

19:01.200 --> 19:05.100
and then they offer, I take a bite of a cookier.

19:05.100 --> 19:08.020
something and you're like, oh shoot, I guess I might as well finish the cookie.

19:08.300 --> 19:10.220
And then it's like, after you eat the cookie, you're like, oh, well,

19:10.500 --> 19:13.380
I already broke the fast today. Might as well just eat everything else.

19:13.820 --> 19:15.500
And so one of the things is that we,

19:15.580 --> 19:19.260
in order to basically gauge for ourselves is what the verse says here is,

19:19.260 --> 19:22.420
is for I have walked in mine integrity, right?

19:22.460 --> 19:25.420
The whole thing is that God can see you in secret.

19:25.740 --> 19:29.220
And when even when you're thinking you're alone and no one sees you, God does.

19:29.580 --> 19:32.900
And one of the things that in order to basically measure ourselves and approve

19:32.900 --> 19:33.100
source.

19:33.100 --> 19:36.280
is our own integrity and our own standards in ourselves.

19:36.280 --> 19:37.620
Right, and so the sermon, title sermon,

19:37.620 --> 19:40.920
is called Walking in Integrity, Walking in Integrity.

19:40.920 --> 19:44.000
And so the reason why it's important is because...

19:44.200 --> 19:48.200
The Gentiles who know not the law do which is in the law. The law is written in your heart.

19:48.200 --> 19:54.520
And so the thing is is that I guess like what's common to every person is basically a conscience

19:54.520 --> 19:59.000
on what we know is right and wrong. And so the thing is is that I don't necessarily some people

19:59.000 --> 20:04.600
always say like they'll ask me like well gambling isn't explicitly written in the Bible so I can go

20:04.600 --> 20:08.600
to the casino and then start gambling and doing all these things. Basically the idea is this is

20:08.600 --> 20:12.120
that the Bible doesn't give an exact hair length for example that women should have.

20:12.200 --> 20:14.300
to where it's too short.

20:14.300 --> 20:16.380
But a friend of mine always said like,

20:16.380 --> 20:17.900
if you're asking yourself that question,

20:17.900 --> 20:20.460
you probably shouldn't do it, right?

20:20.460 --> 20:23.700
And so the thing is, is that when it comes to...

20:24.600 --> 20:31.540
Maintain your integrity that is the best way to gauge whether or not you are right with God more so than how you feel at the present

20:31.540 --> 20:32.700
time or

20:32.700 --> 20:36.580
Based on the circumstances or even the mass opinion of others

20:36.740 --> 20:42.900
Right is what does the Bible say and whether you are aligned with what the word of God has to say on your character?

20:42.980 --> 20:49.680
Rather than the testimony of other people right because again like a lot of times in the world outside and false churches

20:49.680 --> 20:52.520
They have itching ears and their pastor say oh, you're never doing

20:52.600 --> 20:53.520
anything wrong.

20:53.520 --> 20:56.320
Oh, no, no, no, that's, it's always other people's fault.

20:56.320 --> 20:58.320
It's always the environment's fault, right?

20:58.320 --> 21:02.680
And so the next verse I'd like to go to is

21:02.680 --> 21:05.920
first Chronicles 15, 13, right?

21:06.200 --> 21:09.440
So what's happening is there's basically two ideas

21:09.440 --> 21:10.560
I wanted to cover.

21:10.560 --> 21:12.500
The first one is that there's this,

21:12.500 --> 21:14.780
how many of you have heard the expression

21:14.780 --> 21:17.040
that peer pressure is one hell of a drug?

21:17.040 --> 21:18.880
I guess, not endorsing drugs or anything,

21:18.880 --> 21:21.760
but the idea is that when you're,

21:21.760 --> 21:23.960
people tend to cave on what their principles

21:23.960 --> 21:27.520
and their integrity based on the amount of people

21:27.520 --> 21:29.440
telling them that they're wrong, right?

21:29.440 --> 21:30.980
And as us going soul winning,

21:30.980 --> 21:32.720
how many times have you had family members

21:32.720 --> 21:34.200
or people around you basically telling you like,

21:34.200 --> 21:37.200
What profit is it just to knock on doors and just to talk to people?

21:37.200 --> 21:42.500
Why are you giving up on these more like carnal practical things than what...

21:42.500 --> 21:44.300
But it's like, but is that what the Bible says though?

21:44.300 --> 21:47.100
No, it says that we should go out and preach the gospel, right?

21:47.100 --> 21:51.600
And another thing is that the ends justify the means, right?

21:51.600 --> 21:54.500
And so that's another expression that people will say where it's like,

21:54.500 --> 22:01.600
no, the morality of the current actions that you have to do are all justified on the outcomes.

22:01.600 --> 22:02.100
And so.

22:02.200 --> 22:05.320
So the thing is is that to combine those two concepts here,

22:05.320 --> 22:08.200
and I'll explain later in the context with this verse,

22:08.200 --> 22:10.800
is that in Samuel, right,

22:10.800 --> 22:12.800
that basically the Ark of the Covenant

22:12.800 --> 22:15.800
is then left with the Philistines and are blessing them.

22:15.800 --> 22:18.040
This then drives David to jealousy,

22:18.040 --> 22:20.720
and then he goes and tries to recover it back.

22:20.720 --> 22:22.920
The problem was is that in order to basically

22:22.920 --> 22:26.520
get the okay on this, he gets 30,000 others

22:26.520 --> 22:28.320
to agree that to put the Ark of the Covenant

22:28.320 --> 22:29.960
on a new cart, right?

22:29.960 --> 22:30.200
And that's.

22:30.200 --> 22:35.200
That's when Uzzah, when it tumbles on cart, touches the Ark of the Covenant and dies.

22:35.200 --> 22:41.740
And so the verse here, it says, later on, it says, in verse 13, it says, for because

22:41.740 --> 22:46.840
you did it not at the first, the Lord our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought

22:46.840 --> 22:49.200
him not after the due order.

22:49.200 --> 22:50.200
Right?

22:50.200 --> 22:53.920
It's that, no, the thing is, is that regardless of outcome, those are not certainties.

22:53.920 --> 22:55.280
Those are not givens.

22:55.280 --> 22:58.200
The problem is that, again, people who go gambling.

22:58.200 --> 23:02.100
always try to gamble more to recover the money they lost, right?

23:02.100 --> 23:04.440
And then all the gambling was unjustified, right?

23:04.440 --> 23:08.600
Or like the saying like, oh, most gamblers quit before they hit it big, right?

23:08.600 --> 23:10.400
Which is obviously a dumb idea.

23:10.400 --> 23:18.700
And so the thing about integrity here is that there are so many ways to basically get validation

23:18.700 --> 23:22.200
or excuses for bad ideas that you may believe, rather than actually looking

23:22.200 --> 23:26.200
at what the Bible says is the standard for whether or not actions are...

23:26.200 --> 23:31.000
justified or not. And so, why, coming back to the beginning...

23:31.100 --> 23:34.940
is that when we backslide, I think a lot of the times,

23:34.940 --> 23:38.620
instead of actually taking admission of when we got wrong,

23:38.620 --> 23:40.300
and then actually seeing that there is,

23:40.300 --> 23:43.020
God still has hope in us to try to have steps to recover

23:43.020 --> 23:44.860
and to do better, right?

23:44.860 --> 23:48.220
We end up actually excusing what we did as being right,

23:48.220 --> 23:49.980
and then looking for other externalities

23:49.980 --> 23:52.060
to justify our wrong actions.

23:52.060 --> 23:54.540
It's then, it's not the problem is not with me,

23:54.540 --> 23:55.420
oh, it was.

23:55.700 --> 23:59.060
other people did wrong or oh no maybe the Bible was wrong on it.

23:59.060 --> 24:02.020
And so that's what ends up happening is a lot of people who end up sinning and then backsliding

24:02.020 --> 24:08.900
really hard never actually or sometimes very stiff-necked and then end up blaming God for a lot of their problems.

24:08.900 --> 24:16.900
And so the thing is is that I want to make my case and plead with you and go through a few more verses on how the best metric

24:17.200 --> 24:19.840
for understanding if, hey, am I right with God?

24:19.840 --> 24:21.840
Have I actually had the mercy with God?

24:21.840 --> 24:25.840
Am I actually doing what God has in store for me?

24:25.840 --> 24:28.560
The thing is, sufficient is the evil therein today, right?

24:28.560 --> 24:30.280
So I think the best metric,

24:30.280 --> 24:32.360
I forget what the verse escapes me,

24:32.360 --> 24:34.320
but there's a verse about a man who works hard,

24:34.320 --> 24:36.280
actually has a blessed sleep.

24:36.280 --> 24:37.680
I'm paraphrasing, but.

24:37.900 --> 24:42.560
The thing, the idea is that through your good actions and engaging at the end of the day,

24:42.560 --> 24:48.300
you yourself can see based on a review of your integrity, based on God's standards,

24:48.300 --> 24:51.260
and whether or not you actually were in his plan because you lived righteously.

24:51.260 --> 24:55.260
Now, again, we all sin every once in a while, but that's the whole point.

24:55.260 --> 24:57.800
There is sufficient grace unto every good work.

24:57.800 --> 25:02.700
You have never actually backslided so much where there's like, oh man, I can't go on

25:02.700 --> 25:04.460
anymore, I can't do this.

25:04.460 --> 25:05.700
So I continue on.

25:05.900 --> 25:07.900
I'll go on to...

25:09.500 --> 25:14.460
1st Peter chapter 1, right? And then just to fire off just a few more verses about why integrity is

25:14.460 --> 25:19.420
so important is in Psalms it talks about, let integrity and uprightness preserve me,

25:19.420 --> 25:25.900
for I wait on thee. Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity than he that is perverse in his

25:25.900 --> 25:30.700
lips and is a fool. So for example like one of the stories I have from soul winning is we're seeing

25:30.700 --> 25:35.020
this guy at this big house in his big neighborhood walk up to him while he's watering his plants and

25:35.020 --> 25:37.500
that says, hey, God forbid, sir, if you were to die today, are you

25:37.500 --> 25:39.300
Are you 100% sure you'd be going to heaven?

25:39.300 --> 25:40.340
And then what he does, he just looks,

25:40.340 --> 25:42.300
while watering his plants, looks behind him and is like.

25:42.500 --> 25:45.420
I think I've done enough or I can earn my way to heaven, right?

25:45.420 --> 25:49.300
It's like no, it's better to be poor and know every day that you are just

25:49.500 --> 25:53.500
based on your own actions and being aligned with what the Bible has to say.

25:53.500 --> 25:59.500
And so, first Peter chapter 1 verse 6 says,

25:59.500 --> 26:03.500
Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season if need be,

26:03.500 --> 26:06.500
ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations,

26:06.500 --> 26:10.500
that the trial of your faith, being much more precious than gold that

26:10.500 --> 26:16.040
perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found under praise and honor and glory

26:16.040 --> 26:17.940
at the appearing of Jesus Christ."

26:17.940 --> 26:23.180
So one of the things that people usually say as they kind of discourage themselves is that

26:23.180 --> 26:25.460
they're their own worst judge.

26:25.460 --> 26:33.460
And what I mean by that is when I get on this idea of the ends justifying the means,

26:33.460 --> 26:33.500
you

26:33.700 --> 26:36.980
is that you don't know if those are certain.

26:36.980 --> 26:39.940
So for example, like Kevin Rowe,

26:39.940 --> 26:42.260
everyone here knows that he was a great soul winner.

26:42.260 --> 26:44.460
The reason why he lost his life though

26:44.460 --> 26:46.260
was that he was doing a good thing though.

26:46.260 --> 26:49.220
It was that going out to try to afford these missions,

26:49.220 --> 26:51.300
trips for others who couldn't go, right?

26:51.300 --> 26:52.940
But then do we wanna be like Job's friends

26:52.940 --> 26:53.760
in Surmising Evil?

26:53.760 --> 26:55.060
God forbid, right?

26:55.060 --> 26:57.500
And so, but that's the thing is that in your integrity,

26:57.500 --> 27:00.820
you may be the person who doesn't get out lucky one day,

27:00.820 --> 27:01.660
went out doing a good thing.

27:01.660 --> 27:01.700
Thanks for watching!

27:01.700 --> 27:04.540
to actually go outside soul winning and get shot.

27:04.540 --> 27:06.740
That's a real thing that can occur.

27:06.740 --> 27:08.820
But does that mean that afterwards,

27:08.820 --> 27:09.660
or if you survive that,

27:09.660 --> 27:11.380
oh, I was wrong for going out soul winning?

27:11.380 --> 27:13.900
No, because the ends don't justify the means.

27:13.900 --> 27:14.940
You have to look at your integrity

27:14.940 --> 27:16.420
and see what the Bible says,

27:16.420 --> 27:19.260
engage your actions based on.

27:19.600 --> 27:24.600
The morality of just on their own versus what they would yield you.

27:24.600 --> 27:26.320
If that makes sense.

27:26.320 --> 27:33.680
And so another verse I would like you guys to go to is Romans chapter 5.

27:33.680 --> 27:35.480
Romans chapter 5.

27:35.480 --> 27:36.480
And so...

27:36.480 --> 27:36.800
Thanks for watching!

27:37.100 --> 27:51.100
I guess the end it all here and wrap it up nicely is just the general idea is that I plead with all of you guys that if any, I know sometimes we have each of us have our own trials and temptations and times, hard battles and hard struggles where we don't know when we're going to get delivered.

27:51.100 --> 28:00.100
But I guess the real piece is that unfortunately in this world, you can't review, you can't look at carnal things and see if you really made it in life.

28:00.100 --> 28:05.100
Because at one point, like you can be nebuchadnezzar just praising yourself all day and then you're all of a sudden a beast in the field.

28:05.100 --> 28:08.740
or you could be doing everything right and then just have your life taken early.

28:08.740 --> 28:12.460
And so the thing is is that to know if you're right with God and then know if

28:12.460 --> 28:16.420
you have that peace with you every day is to say like I walked in my integrity.

28:16.420 --> 28:19.900
Right? That's what it matters. That's what's right. When you have 5,000 people

28:19.900 --> 28:23.860
telling you that you're wrong, it's like no, I did what the Bible said and I know

28:23.860 --> 28:28.340
I'm justified. And so to end it all I just wanted to go to verse 3 of Romans

28:28.340 --> 28:33.100
5 and says, and not only so, but we glory in tribulations also.

28:33.100 --> 28:35.020
knowing that tribulations work with patience,

28:35.020 --> 28:37.620
and patience experience, and experience hope.

28:37.620 --> 28:39.460
And hope maketh not ashamed,

28:39.460 --> 28:41.960
because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts

28:41.960 --> 28:44.140
by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

28:44.140 --> 28:47.340
And so just to, this idea of what I wanted to give to you

28:47.340 --> 28:49.300
with this verse is that,

28:49.300 --> 28:52.960
how can you grow in faith and in love of God

28:52.960 --> 28:55.000
if he never had to deliver you from anything?

28:55.000 --> 28:59.000
So the thing is, we shouldn't wish to have easier lives, right?

28:59.000 --> 29:02.640
A parent for their children isn't trying to make the world a safer place.

29:02.640 --> 29:04.840
It's to prepare their children for the world.

29:04.840 --> 29:09.880
And so God is preparing us through trials and tribulations, and I pray that all of us

29:09.880 --> 29:11.280
show forth as gold.

29:11.280 --> 29:12.280
But yeah.

29:12.280 --> 29:13.280
Brother, hope.

29:18.700 --> 29:23.700
Turn to Psalm 95, please. Psalm 95.

29:30.800 --> 29:34.800
I just want to thank Pastor Oz for the opportunity for the men's preaching night to be able to get up and preach.

29:34.800 --> 29:40.800
Psalm 95, as you're turning there while I get mic'd up.

29:40.800 --> 29:50.800
Psalm 95 is a great chapter of the Bible that if you want to look into one chapter to get a lot of encouragement for singing,

29:50.800 --> 29:52.800
it's Psalm 95 in my opinion.

29:52.800 --> 29:57.800
And that's really the message that I have this evening is, let us sing.

29:58.100 --> 30:05.040
Let us sing now look at Psalm 95 verse 1 it says oh come let us sing

30:05.460 --> 30:09.540
Under the Lord let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation

30:09.620 --> 30:15.980
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms

30:16.020 --> 30:22.660
Let me help you out with something that I think a lot of people forget we are commanded to sing at church

30:22.980 --> 30:25.700
Now there's two points of this that I want you to gives the

30:26.100 --> 30:29.780
You know, it's a prosodic, or excuse me, emphatic stress, right?

30:29.780 --> 30:34.460
Meaning where your emphasis is on the word in the sentence changes what the sentence means.

30:34.780 --> 30:39.100
I've used an example before like, I didn't say she took my money is a different meaning

30:39.100 --> 30:41.580
than I didn't say she took my money.

30:41.900 --> 30:44.640
Both of those are the same words, but they mean two different things.

30:44.920 --> 30:49.880
Now, I believe there are two truths at a minimum in verse one that we can get

30:49.880 --> 30:51.680
if we use stress the right way.

30:51.920 --> 30:52.480
Notice this.

30:52.480 --> 30:54.080
Oh come, let, oh!

30:54.100 --> 30:57.420
Let us sing unto the Lord.

30:57.420 --> 31:01.540
Let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation.

31:01.540 --> 31:05.040
Verse 2, let us come before His presence with thanksgiving.

31:05.040 --> 31:07.260
You know what the Bible does not say in Psalm 95?

31:07.260 --> 31:11.940
It did not say, let Cameron sing.

31:11.940 --> 31:13.520
I'm just being real with you.

31:13.520 --> 31:17.380
It did not say, let Pastor Oz praise Him on the stringed instrument.

31:18.900 --> 31:21.660
It did not say, let those that are really trained

31:21.660 --> 31:23.120
and can read music really well, and they

31:23.120 --> 31:25.280
know what they're doing, and they have a music background,

31:25.280 --> 31:26.940
and you can keep a tune, and you've

31:26.940 --> 31:28.380
got to know the song pretty well,

31:28.380 --> 31:30.300
and make sure that you're singing at the right.

31:30.300 --> 31:33.300
It says, let us sing, folks.

31:33.300 --> 31:36.580
And here's the other stress, let us sing.

31:36.580 --> 31:37.940
Sing.

31:37.940 --> 31:40.740
I don't ever, ever, ever want people

31:40.740 --> 31:42.780
to refrain themselves from singing.

31:42.780 --> 31:43.700
It's a commandment.

31:44.000 --> 31:46.160
And you're like, well, is this really a commandment though for church?

31:46.160 --> 31:47.560
Should I just be singing like in my own time?

31:47.560 --> 31:48.600
OK, verse 2.

31:48.600 --> 31:52.160
Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving.

31:52.160 --> 31:54.360
Hey, where two or three are gathered together in my name,

31:54.360 --> 31:55.360
I am there in the midst of him.

31:55.360 --> 31:55.800
You know what?

31:55.800 --> 31:57.600
If you show up to church and one other person's there,

31:57.600 --> 31:59.200
you better be singing.

31:59.200 --> 32:02.480
And I hear this excuse all the time from people, which is so funny to me,

32:02.480 --> 32:03.900
because I'm not a good singer.

32:04.000 --> 32:05.840
I know music, sure.

32:05.840 --> 32:07.280
I could play drums or something.

32:07.280 --> 32:08.960
Yeah, I don't feel like I sing well.

32:08.960 --> 32:09.960
But you know what?

32:09.960 --> 32:15.140
I don't see anywhere in the Bible where there's a criteria for how well I have to sing to

32:15.140 --> 32:16.520
sing out to God.

32:16.520 --> 32:20.840
Here's what I can promise you as a song leader that I get up and do every Sunday morning,

32:20.840 --> 32:22.000
Sunday night, and Wednesday.

32:22.000 --> 32:24.280
I sing until my voice cracks.

32:24.280 --> 32:26.360
I sing until my voice fails.

32:26.360 --> 32:27.720
But I'm singing to the Lord.

32:28.200 --> 32:30.440
That's what I can promise you. I can't promise that it's right

32:30.440 --> 32:33.800
I can't promise that I'm gonna hit it just like you did in your old life be that you grew up

32:33.800 --> 32:37.340
I can't promise that the way that I sing it is how you've always heard it

32:37.340 --> 32:39.340
I can't promise that it's always gonna be correct

32:39.840 --> 32:43.400
Pretty close, but what I can promise you is that I'm going to sing

32:44.320 --> 32:51.680
Let us sing look it says make a joyful noise in verse 2 you know pro singer is needed

32:52.700 --> 32:57.180
Have you ever been happy and you're just like, yeah, what note was that?

32:57.180 --> 32:59.620
Tell me what note that was.

32:59.620 --> 33:00.620
What interval was that?

33:00.620 --> 33:03.300
I mean, I don't know, like a fourth or something going down.

33:03.300 --> 33:06.420
I mean, like you could figure, it doesn't matter.

33:06.420 --> 33:07.420
Why does it matter?

33:07.420 --> 33:08.420
Why are you so worried?

33:08.420 --> 33:09.420
I hear this excuse all the time.

33:09.420 --> 33:13.260
This is what I was getting at a minute ago where people say, well, it's just really hard

33:13.260 --> 33:17.460
in a smaller church to sing because if I sing and I don't sing well, people are going to

33:17.460 --> 33:18.460
hear me.

33:18.460 --> 33:19.000
Let me help you.

33:19.200 --> 33:23.200
And I know a pastor will back me up on this when it comes to like preaching a sermon.

33:23.200 --> 33:24.880
Yeah, it's a smaller church.

33:24.880 --> 33:29.000
That just means like during a sermon if you're not paying attention, it's way more obvious.

33:29.000 --> 33:31.240
If you're texting, it's way more obvious.

33:31.240 --> 33:33.320
If you're asleep, it's really obvious.

33:33.320 --> 33:35.000
I'm just being real.

33:35.000 --> 33:38.600
as a song leader and as sitting in the crowd even.

33:39.000 --> 33:40.200
Oh, it's a small church.

33:40.200 --> 33:42.240
If I sing and I sing bad, everyone will know.

33:42.240 --> 33:44.040
If you're not singing, everyone knows.

33:44.040 --> 33:45.420
Because look, one person doesn't sing

33:45.420 --> 33:47.240
and it's like the entire section of the church.

33:47.240 --> 33:49.200
I mean, look, we don't have that many folks here.

33:49.200 --> 33:52.440
When you're not singing, everyone knows.

33:52.440 --> 33:53.560
Let me help you out though.

33:53.560 --> 33:56.720
It's not really whether I notice or whether somebody else

33:56.720 --> 33:57.200
notices.

33:57.200 --> 34:00.760
You know if you're not singing, God knows.

34:00.760 --> 34:04.600
I mean, what would you be doing with your mouth,

34:04.600 --> 34:06.360
with your voice, if it weren't for God?

34:07.000 --> 34:09.200
And I softballed this question to my wife.

34:09.200 --> 34:10.580
My wife does sing, but I softballed it

34:10.580 --> 34:12.140
to see what her answer would be, because I kind of had

34:12.140 --> 34:12.640
this thought.

34:12.640 --> 34:14.040
To me, it was really moving.

34:14.040 --> 34:15.040
What would you be doing?

34:15.040 --> 34:16.420
And my wife gave me an answer.

34:16.420 --> 34:17.280
We were in the car the other day.

34:17.280 --> 34:18.740
She gave me an answer that I think a lot of people would say,

34:18.740 --> 34:20.980
oh, I'd probably be singing worldly things.

34:20.980 --> 34:22.940
I'd probably be singing whatever.

34:22.940 --> 34:24.360
I'd probably be humming this and that.

34:24.360 --> 34:24.860
No, no, no.

34:24.860 --> 34:25.660
Let me help you out.

34:25.660 --> 34:27.660
Let me help you get grounded in reality.

34:27.660 --> 34:29.460
You know what you would be doing with your voice

34:29.460 --> 34:30.620
if it weren't for God?

34:30.620 --> 34:33.520
You'd be screaming for trillions and quadrillions of years

34:33.520 --> 34:35.000
at the top of your lungs in hell.

34:35.600 --> 34:41.400
when there's no water, when you're burning without destruction forever,

34:42.400 --> 34:47.400
but we're saved, we're going to heaven, I will never have to worry about that,

34:47.400 --> 34:49.700
and then I'm going to turn around and tell the God of the universe,

34:49.700 --> 34:51.400
I just don't sing that well.

34:52.500 --> 34:56.060
It's kind of like when Moses doesn't want to go preach and God's like,

34:56.060 --> 34:59.600
oh really you're such a stutter, oh really your voice sucks, guess what, I made it.

34:59.600 --> 35:04.800
Imagine telling God, hey God, sorry I can't sing for you because I mean you just didn't give me a good voice.

35:04.800 --> 35:06.800
That's what you're saying.

35:06.800 --> 35:12.900
And like, it's kind of funny to think about, but then it's also like sobering when you're like, wow,

35:12.900 --> 35:14.900
that's embarrassing and it's cringe.

35:15.400 --> 35:18.680
Imagine if God were here before you right now and was like,

35:18.680 --> 35:19.480
why aren't you singing?

35:19.480 --> 35:21.200
Well, I mean, you didn't give me.

35:21.200 --> 35:24.040
No one, none of us would say that to his face.

35:24.040 --> 35:24.960
But you know what?

35:24.960 --> 35:27.360
You are saying it to his face because he's in our presence

35:27.360 --> 35:29.000
right now, every time we're at church,

35:29.000 --> 35:30.080
when you don't sing.

35:30.080 --> 35:31.960
You're just saying it in your heart.

35:31.960 --> 35:33.920
That's the truth.

35:33.920 --> 35:36.640
And you know what?

35:36.640 --> 35:38.240
This made me really mad one time.

35:38.240 --> 35:40.280
It's not currently an issue.

35:40.280 --> 35:42.520
But there was a family that attended this church.

35:43.200 --> 35:46.640
And their kids would come in and their kids would sing.

35:46.640 --> 35:49.040
And let me tell you what, their kids were not good singers.

35:49.040 --> 35:49.880
I'm just telling y'all, I'm just being,

35:49.880 --> 35:51.080
I'm not a good singer either.

35:51.080 --> 35:53.840
But they would sing loud and they would sing it out.

35:53.840 --> 35:56.560
And I remember looking at other people in the church

35:56.560 --> 35:58.680
while they were singing that during service,

35:58.680 --> 36:00.740
they would not sing and they would point and laugh

36:00.740 --> 36:02.240
and sneer at these other children

36:02.240 --> 36:03.840
that were singing out loud to the point

36:03.840 --> 36:05.520
that it made the kids stop singing.

36:05.520 --> 36:07.320
Let me tell you what, that pisses me off,

36:07.320 --> 36:08.720
but it's not me that you should be worried about.

36:08.720 --> 36:10.000
That pisses God off.

36:10.400 --> 36:12.400
You're not right with God.

36:12.400 --> 36:17.280
And look, as a parent, you should never think that you have to restrain your child from

36:17.280 --> 36:18.280
singing.

36:18.280 --> 36:19.280
Let them sing it out!

36:19.280 --> 36:23.880
The Bible says, out of the mouth of babes and sucklings has thou perfected praise.

36:23.880 --> 36:27.960
Like hello, the kids know how to sing it out because they're not worried about sounding

36:27.960 --> 36:28.960
bad.

36:28.960 --> 36:30.280
They love the music!

36:30.280 --> 36:32.120
They like to sing it out!

36:32.120 --> 36:35.280
And then somehow we get to our teenage years or our adult years and we're just like, I

36:35.280 --> 36:36.280
don't want to sing anymore.

36:36.500 --> 36:38.100
You know why? Because you're prideful.

36:38.100 --> 36:42.700
Because you care more about your voice and how you sound, rather than lifting up your voice unto God.

36:42.700 --> 36:45.900
And look, I didn't give you this sermon Sunday AM before the morning.

36:45.900 --> 36:48.900
You've already lost your opportunity to sing out to God today,

36:48.900 --> 36:51.300
with the exception of one more song that we'll sing together tonight.

36:51.300 --> 36:54.600
This is not something that I'm giving you for a today only,

36:54.600 --> 36:56.600
oh, let's fix it because it just got brought up,

36:56.600 --> 36:58.800
oh, I don't want to stand out now, I better do it.

36:58.800 --> 37:01.100
You need to fix this going forward for your life.

37:01.200 --> 37:05.080
And you know what, yesterday I didn't even, I told no one I was preaching this sermon

37:05.080 --> 37:06.080
ever.

37:06.080 --> 37:08.880
I mean last night when I was writing this my wife was the first person that knew, but

37:08.880 --> 37:11.000
I knew I'd been thinking about this, I'd been thinking about it.

37:11.000 --> 37:14.840
We're out soul winning yesterday with brother Dan and brother Tristan and Tristan's just

37:14.840 --> 37:18.040
going door to door just singing, singing, singing.

37:18.040 --> 37:19.440
And you know what it made me do?

37:19.440 --> 37:20.440
Start singing.

37:20.440 --> 37:21.660
And you know what it made Dan do?

37:21.660 --> 37:23.060
Start singing.

37:23.060 --> 37:27.040
Because it's got to take sometimes the kids to wake up the adults to realize that we should

37:27.040 --> 37:28.640
be singing out to the God of the universe.

37:29.000 --> 37:30.840
And you know, that's a shame on the adults.

37:30.840 --> 37:32.440
We should be setting the standard.

37:32.440 --> 37:34.760
I'm just admitting, I was not singing at the door.

37:34.760 --> 37:36.480
And look, you don't have to know all the words

37:36.480 --> 37:38.760
because we're getting like cold door after cold door

37:38.760 --> 37:41.320
and marching on for some reason had been like hummed.

37:41.320 --> 37:43.200
And we're just like cold door, cold door,

37:43.200 --> 37:44.840
atheist, atheist, atheist.

37:44.840 --> 37:48.280
And Tristan, the song is marching on, marching on.

37:48.280 --> 37:51.600
Tristan just starts singing, moving on, moving on,

37:51.600 --> 37:53.260
which is hilarious because like,

37:53.260 --> 37:55.460
it's still what God tells us to do.

37:55.500 --> 38:01.420
It's still true and he's singing his heart out to God as we're going and soul winning and you think it's any shock

38:01.420 --> 38:06.780
That a spirit field 11 year old that's out preaching the gospel is also going to be the one setting an example for the adults

38:06.780 --> 38:09.060
And how to sing I don't think it's a coincidence

38:10.460 --> 38:13.140
You know the Bible says keep your place here. I want to look at a couple other

38:13.140 --> 38:19.440
We're gonna be back, but turn if you would to Exodus well actually don't do that stay in psalm 95 Exodus 4 verse 11

38:19.440 --> 38:21.980
I'll just read to you. It says in the Lord sent it to him who had made man's mouth

38:22.900 --> 38:26.340
It's like this idea of like, oh, I can't sing because you didn't make my voice.

38:26.340 --> 38:27.340
You know, it's us.

38:27.340 --> 38:28.980
It's congregational singing.

38:28.980 --> 38:31.280
And you know, some of you have never been to like the men's retreat.

38:31.280 --> 38:32.280
And I understand that.

38:32.280 --> 38:36.140
But like when you go to the men's retreat or you go to a big church, like I remember,

38:36.140 --> 38:41.300
you know, red hot back in the day when you just have like 300, 400 people in an auditorium

38:41.300 --> 38:43.500
singing out loud, man, that's awesome.

38:43.500 --> 38:44.500
But you know what it takes?

38:44.500 --> 38:48.660
It takes every one of those people to purpose in their heart to sing out to God.

38:49.200 --> 38:54.180
And this church could sing out to God and sound great with 40 people.

38:54.180 --> 38:57.660
The reason why it doesn't is because you're not singing.

38:57.660 --> 39:01.740
And I'm just telling you that you're not because I lead the music and I know you're not singing.

39:01.740 --> 39:06.680
I didn't write Psalm 95.

39:06.680 --> 39:07.980
Don't be mad at me.

39:07.980 --> 39:10.180
I'm just saying what the Bible says.

39:10.180 --> 39:11.900
Let us come to church and sing.

39:11.900 --> 39:12.400
Us!

39:12.900 --> 39:17.900
You think it feels good for me to get up and sing by myself a solo every time if no one sings?

39:17.900 --> 39:20.900
I'm not saying no one sings, but I'm just saying like generally speaking,

39:20.900 --> 39:25.900
when my voice is failing, when I've been out soul winning and I sing, and I have to sing it out,

39:25.900 --> 39:27.900
I can't take like a one verse break.

39:27.900 --> 39:29.900
And look, I'm not saying that you can't sit out if your voice is crackable.

39:29.900 --> 39:31.900
I'm just saying like, I can't do that.

39:31.900 --> 39:34.900
I know what you're feeling sometimes, but it's embarrassing.

39:34.900 --> 39:40.600
But I'm up here trying, giving it my all, not for you and not for me, but for God.

39:40.800 --> 39:44.000
And that should be our motivation.

39:44.000 --> 39:44.800
Why do we sing?

39:44.800 --> 39:46.100
One, we're commanded to sing at church.

39:46.100 --> 39:49.300
We are commanded to sing at church.

39:49.300 --> 39:50.500
There's just three points right there.

39:50.500 --> 39:52.600
We can close our Bibles and go home, but we're not.

39:52.600 --> 39:53.800
Here's another reason why we sing.

39:53.800 --> 39:56.200
We sing because God is great above all.

39:56.200 --> 39:57.900
When you think about why you're singing,

39:57.900 --> 40:01.300
you're singing for the creator of the universe, literally.

40:01.300 --> 40:03.600
Verse 3 in Psalm 95, why are we singing?

40:03.600 --> 40:04.500
Why is this commandment?

40:04.500 --> 40:06.700
Verse 3, for the Lord is a great God

40:06.700 --> 40:08.600
and a great King above all gods.

40:08.800 --> 40:13.380
In His hand are the deep places of the earth, and the strength of the hills is His also,

40:13.380 --> 40:15.800
the sea is His, and He made it.

40:15.800 --> 40:17.440
And His hands formed the dry land.

40:17.440 --> 40:20.740
O come, let us worship and bow down.

40:20.740 --> 40:24.960
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker, for He is our God.

40:24.960 --> 40:30.700
And we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand today, if you will hear

40:30.700 --> 40:31.700
His voice.

40:31.700 --> 40:34.120
Psalm 18 verse 3, you don't have to turn there, I'll just read it for you.

40:34.120 --> 40:36.800
It says, I will call upon the Lord who is worthy.

40:36.800 --> 40:38.540
for thee to be praised."

40:38.540 --> 40:41.900
You know when you refrain yourself from singing what you're really saying in your heart, just

40:41.900 --> 40:46.500
like the person in 1 John 5 who will not accept that salvation is eternal because they're

40:46.500 --> 40:50.080
calling God a liar because they're not receiving the record in 1 John 5?

40:50.080 --> 40:51.740
It's not that they're saying, God, you're a liar.

40:51.740 --> 40:54.900
It's because what's in their heart, they're refusing to accept what the Bible teaches.

40:54.900 --> 40:58.500
Therefore, the Bible says in 1 John 5, if you reject eternal security, you're calling

40:58.500 --> 40:59.500
God a liar, right?

40:59.500 --> 41:00.500
We understand this.

41:00.500 --> 41:01.500
We use this verse at soul winning.

41:01.500 --> 41:01.700
you

41:01.800 --> 41:05.240
The Bible says in Psalm 18.3 that the Lord is worthy to be praised.

41:05.240 --> 41:08.600
When we're commanded to sing out at church, you come to church and you don't sing,

41:08.600 --> 41:11.320
what you're saying in your heart is, God is not worthy for me to sing for him.

41:11.320 --> 41:11.800
Right.

41:11.800 --> 41:15.960
That is what you are saying in your heart. I'm not saying that you're saying God's not worthy

41:15.960 --> 41:19.800
with your mouth, but you certainly are with your heart. And the Bible says that we should

41:19.800 --> 41:23.800
be singing and making melody in your heart. Look, even if you don't think you can hit it

41:23.800 --> 41:26.760
with your mouth, your heart knows what the right melody is, and that's the melody that

41:26.760 --> 41:28.200
God is listening to anyway.

41:29.400 --> 41:35.620
Here's my last point for this evening, refusal to sing provokes God's wrath.

41:35.620 --> 41:39.400
Refusal to sing provokes God's wrath.

41:39.400 --> 41:41.620
Verse 8 in Psalm 95.

41:41.620 --> 41:47.300
Now look, I do not think Psalm 95 verse 8, we're just totally switching context.

41:47.300 --> 41:48.840
It has nothing to do with singing.

41:48.840 --> 41:51.440
Now we're just only looking at a totally unrelated thing.

41:52.400 --> 41:57.400
No, verse 8, harden not your heart as in the provocation and as in the day of temptation

41:57.400 --> 41:58.400
in the wilderness.

41:58.400 --> 42:02.820
Now obviously, it's giving us an example like the children of Israel in the Old Testament

42:02.820 --> 42:05.860
were rebellious and they did harden their heart.

42:05.860 --> 42:08.540
But we're not just changing, we're not talking about singing anymore, now we're just talking

42:08.540 --> 42:09.540
about the Old Testament for no reason.

42:09.540 --> 42:12.020
No, no, no, it's saying don't harden your heart to what?

42:12.020 --> 42:12.520
Singing.

42:12.900 --> 42:19.940
Don't harden your heart to lifting up the Lord in song, like or as in the provocation

42:19.940 --> 42:22.660
and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness.

42:22.660 --> 42:26.540
Verse 9, when your fathers tempted me, improved me, and saw my work, forty years long was

42:26.540 --> 42:31.460
I grieved with this generation and said it is a people that do err in their heart.

42:31.460 --> 42:31.780
Notice that.

42:32.100 --> 42:36.940
and they have not known My ways, unto whom I swear in My wrath that they should not enter

42:36.940 --> 42:37.940
into My rest."

42:37.940 --> 42:40.780
You know, it's interesting to me that God was so long-suffering and for 40 years it

42:40.780 --> 42:44.260
says He grieved the generation that was so rebellious in the wilderness.

42:44.260 --> 42:47.220
And I wonder how many years God has been grieved with your rebellious heart that you won't

42:47.220 --> 42:48.220
sing at church.

42:48.220 --> 42:51.140
Because He says it's just like that.

42:51.140 --> 42:52.380
It's just like that.

42:54.100 --> 42:58.180
Ephesians 5 19 says, notice it said, air in their heart.

42:58.180 --> 42:59.180
If you want to turn there you can.

42:59.180 --> 43:01.140
I'm going to try to wrap this up pretty quickly though.

43:01.140 --> 43:05.260
Ephesians 5 19, the Bible says, speaking to yourself in Psalms and hymns and spiritual

43:05.260 --> 43:09.860
songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

43:09.860 --> 43:13.620
Now the Bible just said in Psalm 95 that these people that are rebellious, that are grieving

43:13.620 --> 43:15.300
the Lord, they're doing it in their heart.

43:16.200 --> 43:19.840
When you come to church and you're not ready to sing out, you're grieving God in your heart

43:19.840 --> 43:21.360
because you're just like, well, God's not worthy.

43:21.360 --> 43:22.360
Well, I don't know.

43:22.360 --> 43:23.860
Well, I'm blaming God for my problems.

43:23.860 --> 43:24.860
I don't have a great voice.

43:24.860 --> 43:26.640
Therefore, I'm not singing.

43:26.640 --> 43:27.640
He's grieved.

43:27.640 --> 43:31.960
Colossians 3.16 says, let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching

43:31.960 --> 43:36.880
and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace

43:36.880 --> 43:39.080
in your hearts to the Lord.

43:39.080 --> 43:41.320
Turn to Psalm 57 and we'll wrap up this evening.

43:41.320 --> 43:42.320
Psalm 57.

43:42.320 --> 43:43.880
Look, let us sing.

43:44.500 --> 43:47.300
As we go to our last song this evening, let's sing it out.

43:47.300 --> 43:50.300
We're going to sing all four verses of that last pick, but let us sing.

43:50.300 --> 43:52.500
And you want to know how your heart is right with God?

43:52.500 --> 43:54.800
Psalm 57 verse 7.

43:54.800 --> 43:56.700
Psalm 57 verse 7 says this,

43:56.700 --> 43:58.400
My heart is fixed, O God.

43:58.400 --> 43:59.600
My heart is fixed.

43:59.600 --> 44:03.300
Notice, I will sing and give praise.

44:03.300 --> 44:05.000
You want to be able at the end of the sermon to go,

44:05.000 --> 44:07.500
You know what? I'm going to fix my heart right now.

44:07.500 --> 44:09.100
I'm going to fix this issue that I have.

44:09.400 --> 44:14.400
I wasn't singing all day. I kind of phoned it in. I really wasn't giving it my all.

44:14.400 --> 44:20.400
You want to say, my heart's fixed, God. I will sing and give thee praise.

44:20.400 --> 44:24.400
Now that's my time, but let's go ahead at this point and go to our last hymn for the evening.

44:24.400 --> 44:26.400
I need a pick. Yes, ma'am.

44:26.400 --> 44:30.400
196? Is that what you said?

44:30.400 --> 44:32.300
196?

44:38.200 --> 44:41.880
Hymn number 196 in your hymnals.
